HP support, Hewlett Packard printer, 5510 all in one printer, Technical support?

Here is a video of a soldier in Iraq who called HP technical support and was told he would have to pay for assistance. The printer is a HP 5510 all in one printer.

Perhaps you feel as I do that HP needs to be contacted with our concerns.

I consider myself a lucky man.  I’ve had the great opportunity to dedicate nearly my entire career (more than 25 years and counting!) to working for one of the greatest technology companies in the world.  HP is a part of my life – my friends and family all know I am proud to be a member of this team, and of my particular passion for helping customers.

 

So, when in 2006, a video surfaced of a U.S. soldier in Iraq taking his frustrations with an HP support policy out on his printer – you can imagine how that resonated with me and within HP.  This video seems to be reaching a new audience as many of my colleagues have had it forwarded to them by family members, friends and co-workers in recent weeks.

 

I was compelled to write this post because many do not realize that when HP received this “message to HP tech support” we quickly reached out to this soldier and resolved his issue.  And for years now, HP has provided free phone support for all active duty U.S. military personnel, even if the product is out of warranty.  

I continue to be extremely proud of the company I work for and was particularly proud of our response to this customer’s feedback. ”

“The Declaration of Independence states:
“To secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to affect their Safety and Happiness.”
We cannot permit the current leaders in the White House and Halls of Congress to continue in their efforts to lead us down the road of Progressive Socialism and destruction of America. This is the current battle that we Constitutionalists face and we must be aggressive in our efforts. Incompetence, Deceit, Fraud, Corruption, Dishonesty and Violation of the US Constitution of officials now come into play as relates to our National Character, National Security, Economy and the Nation’s well-being and is the rationale for resignations. Demand Resignation of derelict officials by the people of this country in now required.
Where is our Moral Compass?
The oath of office is simple and reads:
“I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”
Sadly, we have seen them violate their oath. Fraud, lying, and corruption are rampant and some have engaged in treasonous activities, and they effectively thumb their noses at us and have sold you to the highest bidder.”

Major General Paul E. Vallely, retired

“Paul E. Vallely retired in 1991 from the US Army as Deputy Commanding General, US Army, Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii. General Vallely graduated from the US Military Academy at West Point and was commissioned in the Army in 1961 serving a distinguishing career of 32 years in the Army. He served in many overseas theaters to include Europe and the Pacific Rim Countries as well as two combat tours in Vietnam. He has served on US security assistance missions on civilian-military relations to Europe, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and Central America with in-country experience in Indonesia, Columbia, El Salvador, Panama, Honduras and Guatemala.

General Vallely is a graduate of the Infantry School, Ranger and Airborne Schools, Jumpmaster School, the Command and General Staff School, The Industrial College of the Armed Forces and the Army War College. His combat service in Vietnam included positions as infantry company commander, intelligence officer, operations officer, military advisor and aide-de-camp. He has over fifteen (15) years experience in Special Operations, Psychological and Civil-Military Operations.

He was one of the first nominees for Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations under President Reagan. From 1982-1986, he commanded the 351st Civil Affairs Command that included all Special Forces, Psychological Warfare and Civil Military units in the Western United States and Hawaii. I know more about ancestral participation in the American revolution than I do of the Civil War. However, I discovered the obituary of an ancestor several years ago. There is mention of his wound and battles. Since Memorial Day has roots in commemorating civil war soldiers, I share his obituary.

He was the son of Robert H. Wells & Lucinda Ann Gladden Wells. He married Susan Gordon January 5, 1866.
His obituary reads:
Old Canyon Character Goes to Reward-
David Wells, for twelve years Toll Gate Keeper at Mouth of American Fork Canyon, Died Sunday, Buried Tuesday.
David Wells died Sunday at 1 o’clock at the home of his son, Boyce Wells, He has been a sufferer for several years from chronic bronchitis.
Mr. Wells was born in Lincoln, North Carolina, June 10, 1844. He joined the Mormon church in 1883 and came west 31 years ago, locating in Manassa, Colorado. Ten years later he came to American Fork.
He was an old Confederate soldier and was wounded at the battle of Richmond and again at Petersburg. From the injury in the leg from a “minning ball” he never recovered. He was twelve years toll gate keeper at the mouth of American Fork canyon and was noted for his honesty and integrity. His wife, who was Miss Susan Gordon, died three years age. He leaves a son John, still in North Carolina. His other children Frances Wells, Boyce Wells, Mrs. Sarah Anderson and Mrs. Gertrude Brown all live in American Fork.
The funeral was held Tuesday in the Third Ward Meeting House. Bishop J.R. Hindley presided. The other speakers were Henry Miller, M.H. Fitzgerald and president Stephen L. Chipman. The ward choir supplied the music.

Memorial Day History

“Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation’s service. There are many stories as to its actual beginnings, with over two dozen cities and towns laying claim to being the birthplace of Memorial Day. There is also evidence that organized women’s groups in the South were decorating graves before the end of the Civil War: a hymn published in 1867, “Kneel Where Our Loves are Sleeping” by Nella L. Sweet carried the dedication “To The Ladies of the South who are Decorating the Graves of the Confederate Dead” (Source: Duke University’s Historic American Sheet Music, 1850-1920). While Waterloo N.Y. was officially declared the birthplace of Memorial Day by President Lyndon Johnson in May 1966, it’s difficult to prove conclusively the origins of the day. It is more likely that it had many separate beginnings; each of those towns and every planned or spontaneous gathering of people to honor the war dead in the 1860’s tapped into the general human need to honor our dead, each contributed honorably to the growing movement that culminated in Gen Logan giving his official proclamation in 1868. It is not important who was the very first, what is important is that Memorial Day was established. Memorial Day is not about division. It is about reconciliation; it is about coming together to honor those who gave their all.
 

 
Memorial Day was officially proclaimed on 5 May 1868 by General John Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic, in his General Order No. 11, and was first observed on 30 May 1868, when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery. The first state to officially recognize the holiday was New York in 1873. By 1890 it was recognized by all of the northern states. The South refused to acknowledge the day, honoring their dead on separate days until after World War I (when the holiday changed from honoring just those who died fighting in the Civil War to honoring Americans who died fighting in any war). It is now celebrated in almost every State on the last Monday in May (passed by Congress with the National Holiday Act of 1971 (P.L. 90 – 363) to ensure a three day weekend for Federal holidays), though several southern states have an additional separate day for honoring the Confederate war dead: January 19 in Texas, April 26 in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi; May 10 in South Carolina; and June 3 (Jefferson Davis’ birthday) in Louisiana and Tennessee.”

One of the things that keeps me going when I am tired or discouraged is the memory of all those who sacrificed, suffered and died to give us the privilege to defend and save this country.

“CW — I know you’ve already posted a new thread, but I hope you still see this. I wanted to thank you for this tribute to Bunker Hill. My great(x7)-grandfather fought at Bunker Hill. I thought you might appreciate this quote from him re the Revolution: “I go cheerfully, for I am sure the cause we are engaged in is just and the call I have to it is clear and the call of God.” He wrote this in his last letter to his wife. He died about a week later (illness) while preparing for battle with the English in Peekskill, NY. By the time of the Revolution, he was past the age of service, but volunteered nevertheless. And tho he was a commissioned officer, he was also very humble and fought as infantry, rather than step on anyone’s toes. He’s not well known now, but was considered quite the hero then. The Northampton Monument commemorates Eltweed Pomeroy’s son Medad and his descendants who settled in Northampton MA in the 1660s. The monument also pays tribute to brothers General Seth Pomeroy and Lieutenant Daniel Pomeroy.Front InscriptionIn 1660 Medad Pomeroy accepted an offer of tools, an anvil shaped like
this replica, and land in exchange for opening a blacksmith shop in
Northampton. That anvil was passed through many generations

Pomeroy gunsmiths and blacksmiths in Northampton.
A patriot and father of nine, Seth served in the

These are the times that try men’s soul, Battle of Bunker Hill, 1775

Some are discouraged that Barack Obama and his legion of thugs and socialists was able to take over the White House and avoid being revealed for the fraud that he is.

“Do not let your heart be troubled.”

Things were much worse during the American Revolution. The British Empire was assured of putting down the revolt. They almost did. We do not have it nearly so bad.

The tune “The American Hero” by Andrew Law with words from the poem by Nathaniel Niles, has moved me since I was a child. It was written the year of the Battle of Bunker Hill, 1775. Listen and read the words of the first and last two verses and revisit one of the earlier Tea Parties.

Recently, Gordon Liddy interviewed Lt. Col Terry Lakin and  Lakin’s attorney regarding Lakin challenging Obama’s eligibility and failure to provide a legitimate birth certificate. Lt. Col Terry Lakin is facing a court martial. Here are some exerpts from the interview. At the end of the video, Nashville attorney Leo Haffey calls in to express his support and admiration for Lakin. Haffey was incarcerated in Nashville as a political prisoner for speaking out against Obama.

Glenn Beck, on his radio show and Fox tv show, while talking about upholding the US Constitution out of one side of his mouth, has insulted concerned Americans, current and retired military personnel and the US Constitution out of the other side of his mouth. Beck has insulted the very people who gave him the high ratings. That is not smart.

Glenn Beck has insulted millions of average Americans exercising their First Amendment rights to question the eligibility of Barack Obama. Even Lou Dobbs while at CNN asked why Obama doesn’t present a legitimate birth certificate.

“Hell hath no fury.” Glenn Beck, you have not only infuriated people like me, you have insulted and infuriated military personnel and high ranking military officers. Charles Kerchner, Commander USNR (Retired), is one of those officers. Charles Kerchner and I have been in regular contact for the better part of a year. He and I have decided to send a clear signal to Glenn Beck that his statements are inaccurate, unprofessional, un American and unacceptable. Therefore, we have decided to initiate a boycott Glenn Beck day. I do so not rejoicing and hoping that Glenn Beck will apologize, open his eyes and pay attention.

February 12, 2010 has been chosen for the boycott of Beck’s radio and Fox TV show. This is Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, the one man alone who probably kept this country from dissolving and one of my true heros.

We are asking you to boycott Glenn Beck’s shows on this day, unless he apologizes and changes his attitude. I sincerely hope that he does. We are also asking that you spread this message far and wide.

  4. Let him know that Obama, Soros and the left wing sites on the Internet appreciate his alleged assistance in the eligibility issue cover up.
  5. Let him know that you will NEVER watch his show again…

LA City firefighters aid Haiti, FEMA, Port o Prince in ruins, Ineptitude, Criminal neglect, 200000 dead, UN Anti American, USAID Obamaites and Communists

I received the following email a short while ago from a dependable source. I have no further verification except that the LA City firefighters did in fact go to Haiti. If anyone has any supporting details, please provide them.

“To All,
 
 I just returned from Haiti with xxxxxxx. We flew in at 3 AM Sunday to the scene of such incredible destruction on one side, and enormous ineptitude and criminal neglect on the other.
 
   Port o Prince is in ruins. The rest of the country is fairly intact.Our team was a rescue team and we carried special equipment that locates people buried under the rubble.  There are easily 200,000 dead; the city smells like a charnel house. The bloody UN was there for 5 years doing apparently nothing but wasting US Taxpayers money. The ones I ran into were either incompetent or outright anti-American. Most are French or French speakers, worthless every damn one of them. While 1800 rescuers were ready, willing and able to leave the airport and go do their jobs, the UN and USAID  (another organization full of little Obamaites and Communists that openly speak against America). These two organizations exemplified their parochialism by:
 
        USAID, when in control of all inbound flights, had food and water flights stacked up all the way to Miami, yet allowed Geraldo Rivera, Anderson Cooper and a host of other left wing news puppies to land.
 
        Pulled all the security off the rescue teams so that Bill Clinton and his wife could have the grand tour, whilst we sat unable to get to people trapped in the rubble.
 
        Stacked enough food and water for the relief over at the side of the airfield then put a guard on it while we dehydrated and wouldn’t release a drop of it to the resuers.
 
        No shower facilities to decontaminate after digging or moving corpses all day, except for the FEMA teams who brought their own shower and decon equipment, as well as air conditioned tents.
 
        No latrine facilities, less digging a hole.  If you set up a shitter, everyone was trying to use it.
 
I watched a 25 year old Obamaite with the USAID shrieking hysterically, berate a full bird colonel in the Air Force because he countermanded her orders whilst trying to unscrew the air pattern.  ” You don’t know what your president wants!  The military isn’t in charge here!  We are!”
 
 If any of you are thinking of giving money to the Haitian relief, or to the UN, don’t waste your money. It will only go to further the goals of the French and the Liberal left.
 
 If we are a fair and even society, why is it that only white couples are adopting Haitian orphans? Where the hell is that vocal minority that is always screaming about the injustice of American society?
 
Bad place, bad situation, but a perfect look at the new world order in action. New Orleans magnified a thousand times. Haiti doesn’t need democracy.  What Haiti needs is Papa Doc. That’s not just my opinion, that is what virtually every Haitian we talked with said. The French run the UN and treat us the same as when we were a colony.  At least Papa Doc ran the country.
 
 Oh, and as a last slap in the face, the last four of us had to take US AIRWAYs home from Phoenix. They slapped me with a 590 dollar baggage charge for the four of us. The girl at the counter was almost in tears because she couldn’t give us a discount or she would lose her job. Pass that on to the flying public.”

” Just three hours after the large 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Haiti just before 2 p.m. PST, Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel are already mobilizing in case they are needed to fly out and offer aid. The 72-member team, made up of Urban Search and Rescue specialists, is referred to as California Task Force 2 (CA-TF2).”

So, when the Haiti catastrophe struck, the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Task Force 2 Search and Rescue team immediately readied for their trip to the devastated Caribbean naiton.
 

After several days of waiting to deloy, 72 highly trained professionals traveled to the Haiti to help in search-and-rescue efforts. Among those now in Haiti to help are firefighters, paramedics, rescue specialists, emergency room physicians, structural engineers, heavy equipment specialists, search dogs and handlers, hazardous material technicians, communications specialists, and logistics experts

 “… these guys are… over there to be self-sufficient,” Los Angeles County Fire Department inspector Frederic Stowers said. “They’ll be working together. If necessary, they’ll coordinate with members of the U.S. Embassy in Haiti for translators. But these guys are trained to be self-reliant.”

Along with the search-and-rescue team now in Haiti, supplies that traveled along with these experts included 55,000 pounds of prepackaged tools and medical equipment to conduct help throughout the day and night.”

“MIDDLEBORO — Scott Brown pulled into Everett Square on Saturday night and spoke from the back of a pickup truck to more than 500 supporters.

The crowd filled the Flat Iron Cafe and even spilled out into the square, filling the parking lot of the Rockland Trust Bank.

Brown spoke briefly to the crowd and was greeted with cheers and chants as he outlined his platform and said.

“You deserve better. … When I go to Washington, I will do my very best to stop backroom deals. We’ve lost our way,” he told the crowd.

Brown spent more time on the ground shaking hands with the crowd, which was a cross section of steel workers, farmers, doctors and the unemployed.

Many, like David Ng of Pembroke, had already voted by absentee ballot. Ng said his vote was against “everything the Democrats try to ram down our throats.””

“Brown’s stand on taxes and creating jobs was a high priority for Voneow. Bill is out of work, and the couple is trying to make ends meet on one paycheck.

“He stands for working like a true Republican instead of feeding special interests. He’s the guy I think can help us,” said Bill.”

“Her husband, Norman, 88, a former member of the Planning Board had already voted for Brown by absentee ballot. Their son, Douglas, said he supports Brown because “he’ll take the reigns of government back from socialist concerns.”

Many in the crowd said the election has national ramifications, calling it a vote that will be heard around the world.”
