McLain Farlow obituary, Stormed Normandy Beach with 1st Battalion Big Red One June 6, 1944, Mr. Farlow lived to be a 100 years old, His memorial fitting for Memorial Day 2016

“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed,
If you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly,
You may come to the moment when you will have to fight
with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival.”…Winston Churchill

“God I love that generation, World War II, “The greatest generation.”
They are passing at an alarming rate and creating an increasing vacuum of integrity and accountability.
Will it be filled?
Can it be filled?”…Citizen Wells

What a fitting memorial for Memorial Day 2016.

From the Greensboro News Record May 30, 2016.

“Percy McLain Farlow was born March 22, 1916 to Percy and Marjorie Cannon Farlow. He was the oldest of nine children. McLain, in his own words said “I walked to Marlboro school with Marshall, Philip, Theron and Nancy. Along the way, several others joined us as we passed their house. It took about 45 minutes because we did not cut through the woods.” He graduated in 1934 from Randleman High School and during those years, he courted Vadalia Marriage Farlow. After graduation, she went onto High Point College and McLain went to live and work on a neighboring farm. The family also provided transportation to him so that he could work at Melrose Hosiery Mill in High Point. After Vadalia’s graduation, they married on June 11, 1941 and headed to Baltimore to work in the Glenn L. Martin Aircraft factory. Two years later in September of 1943, McLain was drafted in the U.S. Army at the age of 27. He began his training at Camp Wheeler in Macon, Georgia and continued his training in South Hampton, England. On June 6, 1944, D-Day, he traveled by boat across the English Channel to France as part of the 1st Battalion, known as the Big Red One. There, his troop was met with raining bullets and though he didn’t talk about the war very much, he would often tell us about the French running across his back while hiding in a ditch. He had a few other favorite stories and we all grew to know what World War II meant to him and we appreciated his time of service. He was later assigned to the Military Post Office and was Honorably Discharged from the Army in 1946. Returning home, he surprised Vadalia by walking upstairs and saying ‘Hello!’ He had ridden a bus to High Point and took a taxi to Sophia to get home. They quickly began their family and raised four daughters, Elizabeth Ann, Amelia, Elaine, and Beverly, on the family farm, all while tending to Vadalia’s parents. McLain was a farmer at heart and returned to that love by tending to a farm of chickens, cows and pigs. He made a weekly egg delivery to the Emerywood area in High Point and to local families each Friday. The girls remember making this trip with him several times, creating lasting memories. McLain also enjoyed being involved in his community and church. He was a birthright member of the Marlboro Friends Meeting and served on the Cemetery Committee. He was also on the Board of Directors for Randolph County Farm Bureau and worked the polls during election time. He was a favorite customer at Food Lion and was invited to cut the ribbon at the Ribbon Ceremony for the opening of the Randleman Food Lion.Later in McLain’s farming career, he hauled cattle for a local cattleman. He enjoyed going to the cow sales and watching the buying and selling. He later leased his farm and was often seen on his Case tractor, checking fences and bush-hogging. He took great pride in maintaining his barns and pastures and for relaxation, he would fish and bird hunt with his favorite dog, Badeye. In McLain’s later years in life, he found enjoyment in reading. At breakfast each morning he read at least three newspapers and was always seen sitting in his chair with a book. The Randolph County Public Library Extension Service visited him each month and brought him a tote of books which he read cover to cover. For birthdays and special occasions, he loved getting lottery scratch-offs and reading the many cards that would come in the mail to him.The grandchildren have many stories about all the chauffeuring he did and on some mornings he dropped girls off at New Market, Randleman Middle and Randleman High only to pick them up seven hours later. There was dance practice, ball practice and always a stop at Farlow Oil. McLain was very giving and loving of his time and taught all of his “children” to enjoy the simple things in life. For Christmas he gave each grandchild and great grandchild a $2 bill. He always signed the card with ‘Merry Christmas, Granddaddy’. He was a man of few words, but with very strong values that he instilled in each member of his family. His advice was like none other and his life motto was “you can’t change the situation so you might as well accept it.”At age 100, McLain very peacefully took his last breath on Saturday afternoon, May 28, 2016. He is pre-deceased by his wife of forty-seven years, Vadalia Farlow; daughters Elizabeth Ann Rich and Elaine Smalley; son-in-law Michael Hilliard; granddaughter, Betsy D. Haynes. He is survived by daughters, Beverly Hilliard, Amelia Davis and husband Keith, son-in-law Larry Rich; eleven grandchildren: Eric Rich and Bia, Bryan Rich and Laurie, Cynthia Strider and Keith, Gayle Robertson and Marshall, Philip Davis and Sonja, Anna Buti and Tim, Autumn O’Malley and Tom, Brooke Farlow, Megan Hallett and David, Leah Redding and Greg, Mollie Hopkins and Jeff; twenty-three great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; brothers Curtis Farlow and Becky, Theron Farlow and Eloise, and sister Jane Myers. To celebrate McLain’s life, a visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1st from 3 to 4 p.m. at Marlboro Friends followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. and burial. Pall bearers are Bryan Rich, Eric Rich, Philip Davis, Keith Strider, Marshall Robertson, Steven Haynes, David Hallett, Greg Redding, and Jeff Hopkins. Pugh Funeral Home of Randleman is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made to the family at: www:pughfuneralhome.com.

Obama sending troops to combat Ebola irresponsible or criminal?, Is this the plan to fill FEMA camps?, Manufactured crisis to keep Obama in power?, Doctors infected how can soldiers remain safe?

“Barack Obama is endangering the children of the US and now our troops. Where is the outrage?”…Citizen Wells

“You can see that these doctors, who are highly trained people, got themselves infected,”
“So sending troops into an area, if they’re dealing one-on-one with a patient, they’re not going to be able to protect themselves very well. It’s not easy to [prevent transmission], because you get tired and you get careless and you make some simple mistakes. All it takes is one virus particle.”…Dr. Lee Hieb, former president of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons

“Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.”…George Orwell, “1984″

On September 16, 2014 I wrote.

“Obama opened the floodgates on thousands of illegal aliens and ignored the warnings from healthcare professionals to screen them for disease.

Now he is going to expose thousands of of US soldiers to the Ebola virus which has the potential to expose millions of American civilians to it.

So this is the plan for FEMA camps and Obama martial law.

Sounds more possible now doesn’t it.”

Every single person I have discussed this with has responded with incredulity about the wisdom of sending troops to be exposed to Ebola. Especially since Ebola can be transmitted so long after being exposed to it.

From WND September 18, 2014.

“DOCTORS: ‘IRRESPONSIBLE’ TO SEND TROOPS TO ‘COMBAT’ EBOLA”

“A real-life horror story is playing out in Africa as Ebola spreads, and President Obama’s decision to send 3,000 troops to Liberia to combat the virus could very well put Americans at risk of contracting the deadly illness at home, some health experts say.

According to the World Health Organization, at least 4,985 people have contracted Ebola and at least 2,461 have died. Several doctors have fallen ill with Ebola, and two of them have died. New reports indicate a Doctors Without Borders staff member has contracted the virus in Liberia and will be evacuated to France for treatment.

“You can see that these doctors, who are highly trained people, got themselves infected,” said Dr. Lee Hieb, former president of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. “So sending troops into an area, if they’re dealing one-on-one with a patient, they’re not going to be able to protect themselves very well. It’s not easy to [prevent transmission], because you get tired and you get careless and you make some simple mistakes. All it takes is one virus particle.”

Dr. Hieb said quarantine measures should be taken to control the outbreak and prevent Ebola from coming to America.

“You don’t get Ebola from Europe,” she told WND. “You get Ebola from Africa. And it’s a really simple formula: Don’t let people fly to America if they’ve been to areas where there’s an outbreak. When there’s an outbreak, stop air [traffic] flow.”

Hieb added, “If they’re going to use the troops to do population control, which is one of the ways you contain it, basically you just don’t let anybody out. You’d make a ring around where it is, and you’d quarantine the area.”

With quarantines in places where the outbreaks are occurring, even if a person infected with Ebola were to try to board a plane to the U.S., it would be far more difficult for them to make the journey, she explained.

“Could somebody sneak through by going to Pakistan or some place?” she asked. “Yes, potentially. Ebola comes on so rapidly, you would know it. They wouldn’t make it. We should not allow flights from nations that are having Ebola outbreaks.”

Dr. Jane Orient, executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, has warned that the U.S. must “treat Ebola as a wake-up call.”

“What African troops are doing is shooting people who cross borders or violate quarantine,” Orient told WND, reacting to news of the U.S. troop deployment. “Is that what we plan to support?””

From Citizen Wells May 29, 2011.

“I have read many obituaries. I always look for the ones of Word War II veterans. It is my way of thanking them for their sacrifices. Today I was presented an obituary that left me in awe and with respect for a shining example from the Greatest Generation. It is fitting that the world celebrate and give thanks for the life of Pastor Gerald C. Primm, a war hero and man of God.

From the Greensboro News and Record Obituaries, Sunday, May 29, 2011, Memorial Day Weekend.

“Gerald joined the Army Air Force during WWII to fight for his country. He became a Fighter Pilot flying the P-38 Lightning. During the war years he flew 56 combat missions (Note: only had to fly 50 but volunteered for 6 more). His exploits as a fighter pilot ranged from starting his European service in Casablanca, to starting his combat missions in Mateur, Tunisia in Northern Africa and in escorting bombers to Sardinia. After Sardinia was liberated by the Allies, he was stationed at Sardinia where he suffered from a bout of yellow jaundice. From Sardinia Gerald was stationed at Gioia del Colle on Italy proper.

He flew six combat missions out of Gioia del Colle – the most harrowing was the mission to escort bombers to bomb a ball-bearing plant in Wiener-Neustadt, Austria. When the bombers arrived at Wiener-Neustadt they had to abort their mission due to weather, but this just started the travails of Gerald as bandits (enemy) were spotted and Gerald counted about 25 of them and then another 35 were spotted for a total of 60. Outnumbered by 60 to 16, Gerald’s plane was fixed upon and a bullet knocked out his hydraulic system and one engine, thus his wing flaps were not maneuverable and his landing gear would not deploy. Gerald dismissed bailing out over Yugoslavia and decided to skim the mountain tops and glide over the Adriatic Sea. To compound Gerald’s problems a German plane was coming in for the kill and one of Gerald’s fellow pilots, Jim Advey, came to the rescue and drove the enemy fighter away. They remained life-long friends after the war. Gerald’s Wiener-Neustadt escapade ended as he spotted an airfield north of Foggia, Italy and Gerald crash landed at 130 miles an hour without the plane somersaulting down the runway.
The remaining number of his 50 missions would be flown out of Foggia airfields which included escorting bombers to bomb the infamous Ploesti oil refineries in Rumania. Other exploits included flying from England to Algiers and having to emergency land on Gibraltar because one engine had failed. But the most noteworthy assignment of the war came about after Gerald had received the promotion to captain and volunteered for more missions (6) beyond his obligatory requirement of 50. At this time he was called into the office of Lt. General Ira Eaker, Mediterranean Commander, USAAF at King Victor Emmanuel’s Palace where he was asked if he knew about the upcoming invasion of Southern France. Once Gerald said no, Eaker informed him that he had been selected to fly Lt. General Jacob Devers, Supreme Allied Commander of the Mediterranean, in a specially modified P-38 to view the invasion on August 15, 1944, called Operation Dragoon. This Gerald did as he and the General, as well as 7 other Generals flew out of Corsica to view the invasion of Southern France by the Allies.

For his exploits in WWII Gerald received the Distinguished Flying Cross awarded for “Heroism or Extraordinary Achievement” and the Air Medal with nine oak leaf clusters. In addition he received the Asian-Pacific Theatre Ribbon, Europe-Africa-Mediterranean Theater Ribbon with three battle stars and Distinguished Unit Citation.

After the war Gerald attempted to pick up his college education that had been interrupted by the war years by attending the UNC-Chapel Hill and moving to Texas to attend Baylor University. But a higher calling was in the offing for Gerald as he felt led to enter the Christian ministry as a Southern Baptist Preacher/Pastor. At about the same time he met the love of his life Ethel Brown at the First Baptist Church in Sanford where Ethel was Educational Director. Their marriage on December 28, 1948 formed a magnificent partnership in serving their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ until Ethel’s death on January 10, 2006. “

“Gerald also took a stand for Civil Rights as evidenced by his bold and heroic actions in the 1950′s at his church in Raleigh which was located beside Shaw University, a black college. Some of the leaders of the church told Gerald that four Shaw University Students (African American) were attempting to enter the church to worship and these officials would not let them. Gerald rebuked them and told the officials to let them come in to worship. The next week Gerald, from the pulpit, resigned as pastor saying the courageous and truthful words to some members of the congregation that “their hearts were blacker than the faces of the students they barred from the place of worship”. This incident made statewide, national, and international news and brought Gerald great admiration from the African-American communities in Raleigh and threats from others. To the church’s credit they received the rebuke from their pastor and voted to rescind his resignation.
Gerald Primm was a war hero and a hero of the faith, but to the ones who loved him and knew him the most he was a loving friend, pastor, mentor, husband, brother, son and father. “

Thank God for the life of Pastor Gerald C. Primm

From Fox News May 26, 2013.

For his 107th Memorial Day, Richard Arvine Overton, who saw many of his fellow soldiers fall in the line of duty in World War II and even more die over the following decades, is planning a quiet day at the Texas home he built after returning home from World War II.

He wouldn’t want it any other way.

Overton, who is believed to be the nation’s oldest veteran, told FoxNews.com he’ll likely spend the day on the porch of his East Austin home with a cigar nestled in his right hand, perhaps with a cup of whiskey-stiffened coffee nearby.

“I don’t know, some people might do something for me, but I’ll be glad just to sit down and rest,” the Army veteran said during a phone interview. “I’m no young man no more.”

Overton, who was born on May, 11, 1906, in Texas’ Bastrop County, has gotten used to being the center of attention of late. In addition to being formally recognized by Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell on May 9, Overton traveled to Washington, D.C., on May 17 as part of Honor Flight, a nonprofit group that transports veterans free of charge to memorials dedicated to their service. Despite serving in the South Pacific from 1942 through 1945, including stops in Hawaii, Guam, Palau and Iwo Jima to name a few, it was Overton’s first time in the nation’s capital.

“I was really honored when I got there,” Overton said of his visit to the World War II Memorial. “There were so many people, it was up in the thousands. And we danced and we jumped … them people tickled me to death. It made me happy as can be.”

The entire experience gave Overton a “good thrill,” he said, and the significance of visiting the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial at a time when an African-American holds the country’s highest elected office was not lost him.

“I was very, very happy,” Overton continued, adding that he wasn’t deterred by Washington’s expansive National Mall. “At my age and my strength, I’m able to stand up and do anything. My mind is good, so I’m able to do what I want.”

Overton credits his longevity to aspirin, which he takes daily, and the relatively stress-free life he’s enjoyed since getting out of the service in October 1945. He then worked at local furniture stores before taking a position with the Texas Treasury Department in Austin. He married twice but never fathered any children and still attends church every Sunday.”

I have nothing but respect for Warren C. Bodeker and his fellow soldiers who saved the US and world from destruction in World War II. We gotta help this man.

From Oath Keepers June 15, 2012.

“WWII Veteran Being Forced Out of Home and Forced to Exhume Wife’s Body: Needs Your Help”

“Warren C. Bodeker is an 89 year old World War II Army Airborne combat veteran and war hero, living in Montana, who is being thrown off of his own land and thrown out of his own house, by Montana Federal Bankruptcy Trustee, Christy Brandon, with the approval of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Montana. And to make matters worse, Warren’s wife Lorna just died of cancer this past year, and is buried there on their land, right next to the house.Warren had planned to live there till he died and then be buried right next to his wife, there on their property at 11 Freedom Lane, in the town of Plains, Montana, but now, not only is he being forced off his land, he is being forced to exhume his wife’s body and take her with him.

This is the most disgusting, callous, brutal, and unjust treatment of a WWII veteran by the “justice” system we have ever heard of. Here is a man who stepped up and went to war at the age of 19 to fight against the Japanese in the Pacific. When we say he is a war hero, we are not exaggerating. Serving in Co. B, 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 11thAirborne Division (see discharge papers below), Warren earned two bronze starts while making three combat jumps in the Philippine Islands in 1945.

One of those combat jumps was the daring rescue of prisoners of war at the Los Banos Internment Camp on the Island of Luzon, Philippines, February 23, 1945, where Warren and his brother paratroopers of Co. B, 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment parachuted in at dawn’s early light, 40 kilometers behind enemy lines, and rescued over 2,000 prisoners of war – men, women, and children – from their brutal Imperial Japanese guards, before those guards could slaughter them (as they had planned). Not one prisoner was killed in the raid (though many of the Japanese guards were). Private Warren Bodeker was there. He was one of those brave young paratroopers who the grateful prisoners truly considered heaven sent from above. As one of the prisoners, a missionary, described it in his diary:

“at 7:00 a.m. sharp, we heard and saw nine large transport planes flying low, and passing close to the camp; perhaps one mile to the east. Even as we all watched, we saw doors open and paratroopers came tumbling out. OH WHAT A SIGHT! With a tropical sunrise for a background, we saw about 150 parachutes open one after another and settle slowly earth-ward out of our sight behind the distant trees. We knew help had come.” From the book,Deliverance! It Has Come! By John S. Beaber.

Warren Bodeker and his surviving Airborne brothers came home to a grateful nation and settled down to a peaceful life. Warren lived happily as a law-abiding citizen on Freedom Lane in Montana, until he had to endure the great loss of his beloved wife Lorna this past year, after her five year battle against cancer, but Warren was still looking forward to being buried next to her on their property when he died, knowing that their land and home (which he and his wife built together) would be kept in the family.

But Warren had a pile of medical and credit card bills to deal with and filed for bankruptcy, and that is when his nightmare began. According to Warren and several witnesses, though Warren had utterly no intention of ever selling his land and home, and planned to die there and be buried next to his wife at 11 Freedom Lane,  he was pressured and coerced into entering into a “stipulation” denying his bankruptcy discharge and waiving his homestead exemption, and thus coerced into selling his home, because he had failed to disclose some silver and gold he and his wife had set aside for their old age – which he considered a retirement fund that he did not have to disclose. Once that failure to disclose was discovered by the Trustee, Christy Brandon (a lawyer in Bigfork Montana who also works as a trustee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court), Warren was pressured into signing the stipulation under threat of prosecution and under threat of having his home and land taken by means of adversarial proceedings with any left-over proceeds being consumed by lawyers fees and costs (with Christy Brandon serving as both the trustee for the estate and also as the lawyer for the estate, and also as the attorney for herself, as trustee).  According to Warren and several witnesses, he was essentially told that the Trustee would take his land and home anyway, and if he resisted, he would wind up penniless. Unfortunately, his own lawyer at the time went along with the stipulation, and did not fight hard to keep Warren in his home. Watch the above video interview to learn the details.

Warren really did not understand what was going on in the complex legal world of bankruptcy, and did not understand his rights. In addition to the diminished mental capacity that so often occurs in someone nearly 90 years old, Warren is also hard of hearing and needs an assistant to help him keep track of what is being said during hearings. Much of the time, he just does not understand what is going on.

And even if Warren was wrong in not disclosing the silver and gold coins, the just and proper way to handle it would have been, at most, to deny him the discharge and require him to use the coins to pay off his creditors. The trustee didn’t  have to pressure Warren into waiving his homestead exemption, by threatening to void it through an adversarial proceeding which would eat up the estate through legal fees and costs, and thus force him to sell his home and land. Forcing him off his land, and forcing him to exhume his wife’s body, in the last years of his life – kicking him homeless to the curb with his wife’s casket – is an egregious, unnecessary, gross act of tyranny and injustice, in our opinion.

This is a callous act of brutality, devoid of human compassion, devoid of all sense of proportionality, devoid of any sense of decency, charity, justice or well-deserved respect of an elder veteran – much more like something the brutal Imperial Japanese internment camp guards would have done to Warren if they could than what his own country should do to a winner of two Bronze Stars who risked all, in combat, for this nation.

Warren’s lawyer withdrew from his case last month, and he has been trying to find a new bankruptcy lawyer, but then Warren was hospitalized with what was thought to be kidney stones, but which has now been discovered to be advanced prostate cancer, which is spreading throughout his body. There was a hearing held this past Tuesday, June 12, 2012, on Trustee Christy Brandon’s motion to have Warren removed from his home.Warren had been flown to the VA Hospital in Helena, Montana last week and was still hospitalized on the 12th and could not attend the hearing. From his hospital bed, Warren sent in a pro se motion for a continuance, telling the court that he was hospitalized and could not attend the hearing. He asked the court to continue the hearing until after he was discharged from the hospital. Warren also informed the court that his friend Roxsanna Ryan (whom Warren gave power of attorney) had scheduled an appointment for him with a psychologist so a competency exam could be done, and that he intended to challenge the validity of the stipulation based on his a lack of capacity to understand what he was agreeing to.

But despite the well established fact that Mr. Bodeker was in the hospital, the trustee, Christy Brandon, opposed the motion to continue the hearing. And even after knowing that Warren Bodeker was in the hospital and that he was set to undergo a competency examination which could show that he lacked the capacity to enter into the stipulation, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, the Honorable Ralph B. Kirscher, denied Warren’s motion to continue the hearing and granted the Trustee’s motion for an order for Warren to vacate the property. The trustee, Christy Brandon,   then emailed Warren to tell him that she would be there at the home on Monday, June 18, 2012, accompanied by a Sheriff’s deputy, to kick him out of his home and have the locks changed.”

Obama’s true legal identity is not conclusively known. This should not be necessary. Soldier in the ranks should not have to be demanding our leaders and Congress take action to investigate Obama. This should not be a bottom up action mode but a top down action mode to protect our country and the Constitution from a usurper. The Joint Chiefs of Staff of our military should be taking action. They took a solemn oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC. It is now obvious that we have a domestic enemy of the Constitution in the Oval Office. The Joint Chiefs should call Congress and arrange for a private, secret meeting with the key leaders in Congress such as Speaker Boehner and tell them that what is going on in our country with the criminal activities in the White House with the placing of a forged Obama birth certificate onto the White House servers on 27 April 2011 is of great concern to them and of great concern for the morale and integrity of our military and their living up to their oath to support and defend the Constitution, not a criminal putative president. The Joint Chiefs of Staff should be telling Congress they must convene a congressional investigation to investigate the criminal charges of identity theft and others being made against Obama. The Joint Chiefs should give Congress 7-10 days to call for a congressional investigation of Obama as a result of the private, secret meeting. And if the Congress still does not act, then the Joint Chiefs of Staff should hold a public news conference and reveal that they have made a plea to Congress to act, and that Congress is still not acting, and make a new public demand on Congress to call for a congressional investigation of Obama and to ask for the support of the American people to demand that Congress launch a full investigation.”

Traitor?

General Colin Powell took the folowing oath:

“I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and
defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies,
foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to
the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental
reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully
discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter.
So help me God.”…US Military officer’s oath of office

The oath states “I will support and defend the Constitution” not the occupant of the White House.

On August 8, 2011, the Birther Summit issued a challenge to General Powell  based on the following:

“It was reported in May of this year that you told South Carolina State University’s 400 graduates that you particularly enjoyed a recent event: “. . . when President Obama took out his birth certificate and blew away Donald Trump and all the birthers!””

Despite the fact that you have been informed that the image placed on WhiteHouse.gov was fraudulent, you have failed to respond to the challenge. I have no other recourse than to call you a traitor and coward. I will say this to your face unless you respond according to your oath.

BIRTHER SUMMIT OPEN CHALLENGE TO GENERAL COLIN POWELL

Dear General Powell:

It was reported in May of this year that you told South Carolina State University’s 400 graduates that you particularly enjoyed a recent event: “. . . when President Obama took out his birth certificate and blew away Donald Trump and all the birthers!”

In light of such a proclamation, and your controversial endorsement in 2008 of then-Senator Obama, the Birther Summit issues the following challenge to you:

We would like to sit down with you and present evidence proving that what Barack Obama used to “blow away Donald Trump and all the birthers” was not actually a valid birth certificate, but a forgery.  We would also like to present evidence to you of other dubious information Obama has used to misrepresent himself and his eligibility to hold the office of president, including his use of a Social Security number that appears to have never been assigned to him, and a forged Selective Service registration form.

We suggest that such a meeting take place at an undisclosed location near Washington, DC, and that a small group of our experts attend the meeting, as well as a handful of carefully selected reporters who would attend to observe the meeting.  We will arrange such a meeting place in an area of your choosing, and we ask that you allot us a three-hour time frame for the meeting.

During this meeting, our experts will do most of the talking, so you needn’t prepare a speech.  We will, however, ask only one thing of you: after our evidence is presented, you will either affirm that the evidence we present is sufficient for Congress to launch an immediate, non-partisan investigation into this matter (to include independent testimony and discovery), or you will refute our evidence.  It must be understood that refutation of our evidence must be done with evidence, and cannot be anecdotal or rhetorical in nature.

General Powell, because we value your past and present service to our country, and because we still believe that duty, honor, and country still matter, we affirm that you should be well compensated for your time, and are prepared to offer to you, or to Wings of Hope (or any other charity you may specify), a check in the amount of $15,000.  Because of the gravity of this issue, we think that $5000 per hour for little more than listening to the truth should be fair compensation for your time.  You stated that Barack Obama provided personal enjoyment for you by supplying what he called a “birth certificate;” now, we’d like to supply you with something of actual value just to see the irrefutable evidence and listen to the truth.

You see, General Powell, we are not so easily blown away, and we hope that you will consider your place in history, and for what you will be remembered.  Will you be likened to Gen. George Washington, or to Gen. Benedict Arnold?  Will you be regarded for your honesty and integrity, or will it be for so fearing the facts that you would not even accept $15,000 for three hours of your time to be presented with them?

These facts will be known by our nation, as the Birther Summit is committed to the relentless dissemination of them.  Having weighed in on Barack Obama’s birth certificate publicly, you will now forever be linked to embracing what we can demonstrate to be a lie.  You can set that record straight simply by listening to the truth, and also get paid pretty well for doing so (or you can provide a nice donation for a charity).

To any question you may have regarding our ability to sustain fully what we have proposed to you, we have but three words: Yes We Can!

Please visit our website at http://www.birthersummit.org and learn about who we are and the historic event we are planning for March 28-30 in Washington, DC.

I await your response to our challenge.
