” the votes having been ascertained and counted according to the rules in this subchapter provided, the result of the same shall be delivered to the President of the Senate, who shall thereupon announce the state of the vote, which announcement shall be deemed a sufficient declaration of the persons, if any, elected President and Vice President of the United States”…US Code certification of Electoral College votes

DON’T

LIE

TO MY

GRANDKIDS

Make sure your kids and grandkids know the truth.

Make sure the people teaching your descendants tell the truth.

Encourage your descendants to ask questions.

Because of the Orwellian lying mainstream media many adults believe that Joe Biden is President Elect.

That is a big lie.

At the earliest, we will have a President Elect on January 6, 2021 when Congress convenes to count and certify the results of the electors voting in the Electoral College in each state.

At the present, we do not even have a definite winner in the general election.

And explain to them and your sphere of influence the value and need for the  Electoral College and the collective wisdom of the founding fathers.

For example, so far in this election, the difference in the popular vote is approx. that of the difference in California.

Anybody want CA to determine the fate of the rest of the country?

Knowledge is power.

Wells

“When an opponent declares, “I will not come over to your side,” I calmly say, “Your child belongs to us already… What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community.”...Adolf Hitler

Crucifixion of Jesus Christ, Unimaginable suffering explained, Worst form of death, Traumatic hemorrhagic shock

Crucifixion of Jesus Christ, Unimaginable suffering explained, Worst form of death, Traumatic hemorrhagic shock

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”…Jesus, John 8:32

From CBN News.

“When You Understand it Medically, You’ll Appreciate Christ’s Sacrifice, Suffering, and Death All the More

Christians all know Christ died for them on the cross. But a doctor here in Indianapolis who studied crucifixion for a decade says until you understand what Jesus went through medically, it’s hard to fully appreciate just how much He suffered to pay for the sins of mankind.

“It was the worst form of death that was imaginable,” Dr. Joseph Bergeron, the author of The Crucifixion of Jesus, said. “And the Romans had been using it for three centuries by the time Jesus came along, so it was well perfected.””

“The real cause of death shows up in Christ’s own prophetic words at the Last Supper.

“Jesus told us how He was going to die. He said ‘this is my blood that’s poured out for the remission of sins.’ That’s not suffocation. That’s bleeding to death. That’s shock. That’s the complications of shock.”

The precise medical term Bergeron uses is “traumatic hemorrhagic shock.”

Christ knowing such a grim death was racing towards Him would be one explanation for the odd occurrence of Him sweating blood in the garden of Gethsemane.

Jesus in Traumatic Anguish Before the Physical Suffering Began

“And to be honest with you, I never really understood that or even thought it happened,” Bergeron admitted. “But in studying the crucifixion extensively over the last 10 years, I’ve come to understand that sweating blood does actually occur. There’ve been very few cases – just a handful. They’re always before severe injury, the threat of injury, and usually before execution. That Jesus sweat drops of blood meant that He fully understood what was about to happen to Him.””

“The author explained, “Now you have to understand that Romans didn’t like the Jews to begin with. They were anti-Semitic. And for this person who’s charge was basically political insurrection: naming Himself King of the Jews, that would have heightened their anger and worsened the beating that He had experienced from Roman soldiers.”

Bergeron said of Jesus, “And so His beating exceeded what was typical for crucifixion victims. And He had extensive blood loss and tissue injury from that.”

So the shock began to set in before Christ reached Calvary.”

“Bergeron realizes it’s tough to face all the gory details of Christ’s death. But he believes it can help us love and respect all the more a God willing to come down to earth and face such pain and agony so humans could be cleansed from their sins and spend eternity with Him.”

Mark Antonacci, an attorney and agnostic and another author, became a believer after researching the Shroud of Turin.
From the Amarillo Globe News April 14, 2001.

“Mark Antonacci said he was a committed agnostic until he stumbled upon an article about a subject he would eventually spend nearly 20 years researching.
Antonacci, a St. Louis lawyer, is author of “The Resurrection of the Shroud.” He spoke in a telephone interview about his book about the cloth that he and others believe wrapped the body of Jesus Christ.
His book delves into questions about the wounds suffered by the man whose impression is on the shroud, the shroud’s history and scientific challenges to the carbon dating of the shroud.
Now a Christian, Antonacci said much historical, medical and archaeological evidence exists to prove Christ’s death was consistent with Gospel accounts. The evidence he said he found changed his mind about God.
“I came to the conclusion that the literal, actual crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ occurred,” he said.
So why did it take nearly two decades to publish his book?

“I just had no idea the breadth of the evidence and the difficulty in finding a publisher,” said Antonacci, whose publisher is M. Evans and Company Inc. in New York.

Antonacci said scientists from many religious and nonreligious backgrounds have examined the shroud, and none think it is a forgery, although they have varying opinions about it. The shroud has been kept in Turin, Italy, for the last four centuries.”

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”…Jesus, John 8:32

Don’t believe in the miracle and impact of the life, death and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth?

Consider this.

Look at the world before his birth and then reflect on his impact:

Transformed the Roman Empire.

Caused a message of love and peace to be spread throughout the world.

Inspired some of the greatest art produced.

Was the catalyst for the invention of the printing press and subsequent spread of knowledge.

Transformed the Vikings from barbarians to believers and church builders.

Inspired Johann Sebastian Bach.

Inspired Martin Luther.

Inspired and motivated the early settlers of the US.

Inspired and motivated the founding fathers of the US.

Was the catalyst for removal of slavery in the western world.

Inspired and motivated the US and western nations to repel the fascism and tyranny in WWII.

Inspired and motivated the US and western nations to overcome Soviet communism.

Science v Religion.

“Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”…First Corinthians 1:25

“Can Christians Believe in Science and the Resurrection?”

“Was the resurrection of Jesus Christ an anti-scientific event? This question was discussed at a March 13 conference on science and religion hosted by The American Association for the Advancement of Science’s Dialogue on Science, Ethics and Religion.

At the end of a panel on “Science Engagement in Congregations,” an audience member who identified himself as a rabbi said “the elephant in the room has not been discussed,” which he identified as, “that the fundamental basis of Christianity is a violation of nature.””

We know vastly more today about physics and the universe than we did 100 years ago. But the more we learn the more mysterious and mind boggling it becomes.

From Citizen News April 3, 3015.

“We live in an Orwellian age of misinformation, secularism and attacks on Christianity.

That is why the truth is so important about the essence of Christianity.

Not necessarily what people say about Jesus and Christianity. But what Jesus said, did and endured.

First from “The Case for Christ” by  Lee Strobel.

What struck me the most from the book, when I was first introduced to it years ago, was the fact that there is much historical evidence of the life of Jesus.

From the publisher.

“A Seasoned Journalist Chases Down the Biggest Story in History Is there credible evidence that Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son of God? Retracing his own spiritual journey from atheism to faith, Lee Strobel, former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune, cross-examines a dozen experts with doctorates from schools like Cambridge, Princeton, and Brandeis who are recognized authorities in their own fields. Strobel challenges them with questions like How reliable is the New Testament? Does evidence for Jesus exist outside the Bible? Is there any reason to believe the resurrection was an actual event? Strobel’s tough, point-blank questions make this Gold Medallion-winning book read like a captivating, fast-paced novel. But it’s not fiction. It’s a riveting quest for the truth about history’s most compelling figure. What will your verdict be in The Case for Christ? ‘Lee Strobel probes with bulldog-like tenacity the evidence for the truth of biblical Christianity.’ Bruce M. Metzger, Ph.D., Professor of New Testament, Emeritus, Princeton Theological Seminary ‘Lee Strobel asks the questions a tough-minded skeptic would ask. His book is so good I read it out loud to my wife evenings after dinner. Every inquirer should have it.’ Phillip E. Johnson, Law Professor, University of California at Berkeley”

http://www.christianbook.com/christ-journalists-personal-investigation-evidence-jesus/lee-strobel/9780310209300/pd/20930

From the documentary.

“The documentary The Case for Christ follows reporter Lee Strobel as he interviews a number of religious and historical scholars in order to find out if there is any proof of the resurrection, and to discover the historical veracity of the New Testament. In trying the case for Christ, Strobel cross-examined a number of experts and recognized authorities in their own fields of study. He conducted his examination with no religious bias, other than his predisposition to atheism.
Remarkably, after compiling and critically examining the evidence for himself, Strobel became a Christian. Stunned by his findings, he organized the evidence into a book he entitled, The Case for Christ, which has won the Gold Medallion Book Award for excellence. Strobel asks one thing of each reader – remain unbiased in your examination of the evidence.”
Mark Antonacci, an attorney and agnostic and another author, became a believer after researching the Shroud of Turin.

PI day 3/14/15 aka 3.14159265359, Math skills and integrity needed for US media, Horrible US jobs situation misportrayed as strong, White Americans gain 1 percent employment under Obama lowest of all races, Media lies

“Of the approx. 6 million new employments since Obama took office in January 2009, 4,511,000, 75 percent, were Hispanic/Latino!”…Citizen Wells

“In February 2015 there were 43,000 fewer white Americans employed, 354,000 more not in the labor force, 96,000 more employed and we added 295,000 jobs? Was Common Core math used?”…Citizen Wells

“Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.”…George Orwell, “1984″

Today is PI day, 3/14/15.

It is also Albert Einstein’s birthday.

I began life as a math major.

That is one of the reasons I have reported so much on the real jobs situation in the US and have questioned people such as Goldman Sachs chief economist Jan Hatzius.

But you know what, I could have done this in the fifth grade.

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist or a math whiz to evaluate the data from the US Labor Department.

You just have to care and have basic math skills.

Sadly this is lacking in the mainstream media.

Even Fox News.

Some of the more blatant lies (yes Gallup CEO Jim Clifton was correct to call them lies), relate to the unemployment rate and it’s improvement and job growth.

For example, in February 2015 the Labor Dept. reported 295,000 jobs added.

However, there was only a 96,000  gain in employment.

And Whites had 43,000  fewer employments!

There were 354,000 more people not in the labor force!

There were 180,000 more people not in the labor force who want a job now!

Did you know?

5,205,000 full time employments were lost during the first year of Obama’s occupation of the White House from January 2009 to January 2010?

2.8 million white Americans fewer were employed during Obama’s first year.

During Obama’s term, from January 2009 to now, 75 percent of the employment went to Hispanics/Latinos.

Since it is PI Day and Einstein’s birthday, I present some new data and a math lesson. Math that I understood by the fifth grade.

Below are the changes in employment by race during the first 6 years of the Obama Administration.

The ratio of employment added in 6 years over employment in Jan. 2009 is given with the resulting percent change over 6 years.

White

1,172,000 / 116,863,000 = .01 = 1 %

Black

1,590,000 / 15,481,000 = .103 = 10.3 %

Hispanic/Latino

4,511,000 / 19,794,000 = .228 = 22.8 %

Asian

1,934,000 / 6,606,000 = .293 = 29.3 %

How do you like those numbers?

Seen/heard them reported by the White House or mainstream media, Fox?

Our math capabilities have diminished in this country.

But our real problems are priorities and integrity.

Edward Snowden answers on Reddit February 23, 2015, I would have come forward sooner,  Government power authority exponentially more difficult to roll  back, If you’re not willing to be called a few names to help out your country you don’t care enough

“Edward Snowden should not be forced to choose between living in Russia or spending decades in a cage inside a high-security American prison.
DC officials and journalists are being extremely deceitful when they say: ‘if he thinks he did the right thing,he should come back and face trial and argue that.”
Under the Espionage Act, Snowden would be barred even from raising a defense of justification. The courts would not allow it. So he’d be barred from raising the defense they keep saying he should come back and raise.
The goal of the US government is to threaten, bully and intimidate all whistleblowers – which is what explains the mistreatment and oppression of the heroic Chelsea Manning – because they think that climate of fear is crucial to deterring future whistleblowers.
As long as they embrace that tactic, it’s hard to envision them letting Ed return to his country. But we as citizens should be much more interested in the question of why our government threatens and imprisons whistleblowers.”…Glenn Greenwald Reddit February 23, 2015

“The detentions have thankfully stopped, at least for now. Starting in 2006, after I came back from making a film about Iraq’s first election, I was stopped and detained at the US border over 40 times, often times for hours. After I went public with my experiences (Glenn broke the story in 2012), the harassment stopped. Unfortunately there are countless others who aren’t so lucky.”…Laura Poitras Reddit February 23, 2015

” My perspective is if you’re not willing to be called a few names to help out your country, you don’t care enough.
“If this be treason, then let us make the most of it.””…Edward Snowden Reddit February 23, 2015

Here are many of the Edward Snowden responses from the February 23, 2015 Reddit question and answer session.

“Good question, thanks for asking.

The answer is “of course not.” You’ll notice in all of these articles, the assertions ultimately come down to speculation and suspicion. None of them claim to have any actual proof, they’re just so damned sure I’m a russian spy that it must be true.
And I get that. I really do. I mean come on – I used to teach “cyber counterintelligence” (their term) at DIA.
But when you look at in aggregate, what sense does that make? If I were a russian spy, why go to Hong Kong? It’s would have been an unacceptable risk. And further – why give any information to journalists at all, for that matter, much less so much and of such importance? Any intelligence value it would have to the russians would be immediately compromised.
If I were a spy for the russians, why the hell was I trapped in any airport for a month? I would have gotten a parade and a medal instead.
The reality is I spent so long in that damn airport because I wouldn’t play ball and nobody knew what to do with me. I refused to cooperate with Russian intelligence in any way (see my testimony to EU Parliament on this one if you’re interested), and that hasn’t changed.
At this point, I think the reason I get away with it is because of my public profile. What can they really do to me? If I show up with broken fingers, everybody will know what happened.”

“It is very realistic that in the realpolitik of great powers, this kind of thing could happen. I don’t like to think that it would happen, but it certainly could.
At the same time, I’m so incredibly blessed to have had an opportunity to give so much back to the people and internet that I love. I acted in accordance with my conscience and in so doing have enjoyed far more luck than any one person can ask for. If that luck should run out sooner rather than later, on balance I will still – and always – be satisfied.”

“I would have come forward sooner. I talked to Daniel Ellsberg about this at length, who has explained why more eloquently than I can.
Had I come forward a little sooner, these programs would have been a little less entrenched, and those abusing them would have felt a little less familiar with and accustomed to the exercise of those powers. This is something we see in almost every sector of government, not just in the national security space, but it’s very important:
Once you grant the government some new power or authority, it becomes exponentially more difficult to roll it back. Regardless of how little value a program or power has been shown to have (such as the Section 215 dragnet interception of call records in the United States, which the government’s own investigation found never stopped a single imminent terrorist attack despite a decade of operation), once it’s a sunk cost, once dollars and reputations have been invested in it, it’s hard to peel that back.
Don’t let it happen in your country.”

“To tag on to the Putin question: There’s not, and that’s part of the problem world-wide. We can’t just reform the laws in one country, wipe our hands, and call it a day. We have to ensure that our rights aren’t just being protected by letters on a sheet of paper somewhere, or those protections will evaporate the minute our communications get routed across a border. The only way to ensure the human rights of citizens around the world are being respected in the digital realm is to enforce them through systems and standards rather than policies and procedures.”

“Whistleblower protection laws, a strong defense of the right for someone charged with political crimes to make any defense they want (currently in the US, someone charged with revealing classified information is entirely prohibited from arguing before the jury that the programs were unlawful, immoral, or otherwise wrongful), and support for the development of technically and legally protected means of communications between sources and journalists.
The sad truth is that societies that demand whistleblowers be martyrs often find themselves without either, and always when it matters the most.”

“This is a good question, and there are some good traditional answers here. Organizing is important. Activism is important.
At the same time, we should remember that governments don’t often reform themselves. One of the arguments in a book I read recently (Bruce Schneier, “Data and Goliath”), is that perfect enforcement of the law sounds like a good thing, but that may not always be the case. The end of crime sounds pretty compelling, right, so how can that be?
Well, when we look back on history, the progress of Western civilization and human rights is actually founded on the violation of law. America was of course born out of a violent revolution that was an outrageous treason against the crown and established order of the day. History shows that the righting of historical wrongs is often born from acts of unrepentant criminality. Slavery. The protection of persecuted Jews.
But even on less extremist topics, we can find similar examples. How about the prohibition of alcohol? Gay marriage? Marijuana?
Where would we be today if the government, enjoying powers of perfect surveillance and enforcement, had — entirely within the law — rounded up, imprisoned, and shamed all of these lawbreakers?
Ultimately, if people lose their willingness to recognize that there are times in our history when legality becomes distinct from morality, we aren’t just ceding control of our rights to government, but our agency in determing thour futures.
How does this relate to politics? Well, I suspect that governments today are more concerned with the loss of their ability to control and regulate the behavior of their citizens than they are with their citizens’ discontent.
How do we make that work for us? We can devise means, through the application and sophistication of science, to remind governments that if they will not be responsible stewards of our rights, we the people will implement systems that provide for a means of not just enforcing our rights, but removing from governments the ability to interfere with those rights.
You can see the beginnings of this dynamic today in the statements of government officials complaining about the adoption of encryption by major technology providers. The idea here isn’t to fling ourselves into anarchy and do away with government, but to remind the government that there must always be a balance of power between the governing and the governed, and that as the progress of science increasingly empowers communities and individuals, there will be more and more areas of our lives where — if government insists on behaving poorly and with a callous disregard for the citizen — we can find ways to reduce or remove their powers on a new — and permanent — basis.
Our rights are not granted by governments. They are inherent to our nature. But it’s entirely the opposite for governments: their privileges are precisely equal to only those which we suffer them to enjoy.
We haven’t had to think about that much in the last few decades because quality of life has been increasing across almost all measures in a significant way, and that has led to a comfortable complacency. But here and there throughout history, we’ll occasionally come across these periods where governments think more about what they “can” do rather than what they “should” do, and what is lawful will become increasingly distinct from what is moral.
In such times, we’d do well to remember that at the end of the day, the law doesn’t defend us; we defend the law. And when it becomes contrary to our morals, we have both the right and the responsibility to rebalance it toward just ends.”

“Wow the questions really blew up on this one. Let me start digging in…
To be honest, I laughed at NPH. I don’t think it was meant as a political statement, but even if it was, that’s not so bad. My perspective is if you’re not willing to be called a few names to help out your country, you don’t care enough.
“If this be treason, then let us make the most of it.””

“So when you work at NSA, you get sent what are called “Agency-All” emails. They’re what they sound like: messages that go to everybody in the workforce.
In addition to normal bureaucratic communications, they’re used frequently for opinion-shaping internally, and are often classified at least in part. They assert (frequently without evidence) what is true or false about cases and controversies in the public news that might influence the thinking about the Intelligence Community workforce, while at the same time reminding them how totally screwed they’ll be if they talk to a journalist (while helpfully reminding them to refer people to the public affairs office).
Think about what it does to a person to come into their special top-secret office every day and get a special secret email from “The Director of NSA” (actually drafted by totally different people, of course, because senior officials don’t have time to write PR emails) explaining to you why everything you heard in the news is wrong, and how only the brave, patriotic, and hard-working team of cleared professionals in the IC know the truth.
Think about how badly you want to believe that. Everybody wants to be valued and special, and nobody wants to think they’ve perhaps contributed to a huge mistake. It’s not evil, it’s human.
Tell your friend I was just like they are. But there’s a reason the government has — now almost two years out — never shown me to have told a lie. I don’t ask anybody to believe me. I don’t want anybody to believe me. I want you to look around and decide for yourself what you believe, independent of what people says, indepedent of what’s on TV, and independent of what your classified emails might claim.”

“One of the biggest problems in governance today is the difficulty faced by citizens looking to hold officials to account when they cross the line. We can develop new tools and traditions to protect our rights, and we can do our best to elect new and better representatives, but if we cannot enforce consequences on powerful officials for abusive behavior, we end up in a system where the incentives reward bad behavior post-election.

That’s how we end up with candidates who say one thing but, once in power, do something radically different. How do you fix that? Good question.”

“To answer the question, I don’t. Poll after poll is confirming that, contrary to what we tend to think, people not only care, they care a lot. The problem is we feel disempowered. We feel like we can’t do anything about it, so we may as well not try.
It’s going to be a long process, but that’s starting to change. The technical community (and a special shoutout to every underpaid and overworked student out there working on this — you are the noble Atlas lifting up the globe in our wildly inequitable current system) is in a lot of way left holding the bag on this one by virtue of the nature of the problems, but that’s not all bad. 2013, for a lot of engineers and researchers, was a kind of atomic moment for computer science. Much like physics post-Manhattan project, an entire field of research that was broadly apolitical realized that work intended to improve the human condition could also be subverted to degrade it.
Politicians and the powerful have indeed got a hell of a head start on us, but equality of awareness is a powerful equalizer. In almost every jurisdiction you see officials scrambling to grab for new surveillance powers now not because they think they’re necessary — even government reports say mass surveillance doesn’t work — but because they think it’s their last chance.
Maybe I’m an idealist, but I think they’re right. In twenty years’ time, the paradigm of digital communications will have changed entirely, and so too with the norms of mass surveillance.”

“To dogpile on to this, many of the changes that are happening are invisible because they’re happening at the engineering level. Google encrypted the backhaul communications between their data centers to prevent passive monitoring. Apple was the first forward with an FDE-by-default smartphone (kudos!). Grad students around the world are trying to come up with ways to solve the metadata problem (the opportunity to monitor everyone’s associations — who you talk to, who you sleep with, who you vote for — even in encrypted communications).
The biggest change has been in awareness. Before 2013, if you said the NSA was making records of everybody’s phonecalls and the GCHQ was monitoring lawyers and journalists, people raised eyebrows and called you a conspiracy theorist.
Those days are over. Facts allow us to stop speculating and start building, and that’s the foundation we need to fix the internet. We just happened to be the generation stuck with fighting these fires.”

The truth in print in NC.

I met with John Hammer of the Rhino Times this morning.

I am a long time reader and fan of the Rhino (Rhinoceros) Times, published in Greensboro, NC and with coverage of one of the larger metro areas in NC. Sadly, due to high debt brought on by the economy, the Rhino Times has been forced to shut down its publication.

The Rhino Times exposed the truth about local politicians and officials and John Hammer wrote the truth about Barack Obama.

From John Hammer of the Rhino Times April 30, 2013.

“It is with a great deal of sadness that I announce that the April 28 edition of The Rhinoceros Times now on the stands is the last.

I’d like to thank all of our readers for making a point of picking up The Rhino Times for the past 21 years and I wish we could continue to provide you with the news, opinion and humor every week that you have come to expect, but we have simply run out of money. Like a lot of small businesses, we took a huge hit in 2008, and although we have done everything we could think of, we simply can no longer pay our bills.

Newspapers got hit with the double whammy of the recession and increasing competition from the internet, and we join a long list of newspapers that have closed their doors.

I would especially like to thank our advertisers, some of whom have been advertising with us for over a decade. We appreciate their support. They are the ones who have been footing the bill for us to bring you The Rhino every week.

And I’d like to thank our employees.”

“We’ve had a really good run and are incredibly thankful for all the kindness our readers have shown us.

Not many people knew about this, but the few that had been told responded, “Is there anything I can do?” The answer is yes. The Rhinoceros Times is hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt. We need money to pay our creditors. I guarantee all the money raised will be used to pay debts. If you have been reading The Rhino from the beginning, that’s 21 years of free newspapers. We ask you to consider paying $1 for each of those years and sending us a check for $21 dollars. Of course, if you are moved to donate more, no amount is too large, and if you can’t afford $21 but want to send something, no amount is too small. Nickels, dimes and quarters will be graciously accepted. But we thought one dollar a year was not asking too much.

This would be a donation. It is not tax deductible and you won’t receive anything of value for it. But right now we are deep in a financial hole and every bit helps. If you would like to send a donation please send it to The Rhino Times, PO Box 9421, Greensboro, NC 27429. Thank you in advance.

And we’d like to add that The Rhino Times will continue to have a web presence for as long as possible.”

The truth about Obama in print in NC.

Here are a few examples taken from John Hammer and reported here:

From Citizen Wells June 8, 2011.

From John Hammer and the Rhino Times April 28, 2011.

“It is strange that we have a president that the people of this country really know very little about.”
“Interesting, isn’t it? Even when it seems there appears to be a historical fact about Obama’s past, it turns out there is no documentation to back it up.”
“The question remains, why did Obama wait so long and spend so much money to keep his birth certificate from being made public.”

From John Hammer and the Rhino Times June 02, 2011.

“It is incredible that the mainstream media are still giving President
Barack Hussein Obama the protection that they are.”

“The mainstream media is so deep in his pocket that they don’t know
whether it is night or day but simply believe whatever Obama tells
them.”

“The mainstream media give Obama a pass on every stupid thing he says
or every lie he tells depending on how much you think Obama knows
about what is going on in the world. Obama said we were going to be in
Libya for days not weeks. How about months not years, or maybe he
meant to say years not decades.”

https://citizenwells.wordpress.com/2011/06/08/obamagate-obama-and-justice-department-abused-power-howard-coble-and-house-judiciary-committee-must-investigate-john-hammer-rhino-times/

From Citizen Wells March 10, 2012.

“John Hammer, Editor and Publisher of the Rhino (Rhinoceros) Times, is a good man. He is also a rare commodity these days. He has consistently put into print in NC articles that are critical of Barack Obama. I met with John last year and I was just thinking I should meet with him again about the possibility of a larger, real news organization. I finally got around to reading his latest opinions in “Under the Hammer.” I was pleased as usual but even more so because he quoted Illinois Pay to Play, a site that Citizen Wells has quoted and been quoted at. John Hammer, in print in North Carolina, the state that is hosting the Democrat Convention, has covered the Daniel Frawley $400,000 for Rezko to give to Obama.

From the Rhino Times March 08, 2012.

“Isn’t it funny what the mainstream media decides is news? According to the website Illinoispaytoplay.com, Obama has been implicated in the investigation of Obama’s good friend Tony Rezko, who has been convicted and sentenced to 10-and-a-half years for corruption involving, among others, Obama’s good friend former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who was sentenced to 14 years in prison for corruption.”

From Citizen Wells June 17, 2012.

The results of the Sheriff Joe Arpaio investigation of Obama’s birth certificate, Selective Service Application and other records are beginning to surface and a news conference is expected soon. Press coverage, though often biased is increasing. It is good to see Obama questioned in print in NC.

From John Hammer of the Rhino Times June 14, 2012.

“Finally some reporters are doing some investigation of the life of President Obama. The left has done a great job of making anyone who asks any questions about Obama’s past out to be crazy.

People who just wanted to see Obama’s birth certificate, not anymore than Obama would have to show if he wanted to play Little League baseball, are called “birthers” and are by definition the same folks who see black helicopters hovering over their houses every night. The left has done a remarkably good job of defining people who just wanted to see proof that Obama was born in the United States as nutcases. His Republican opponent in that last election, Sen. John McCain, went to court and proved that even though he was born in Panama, he met the definition of a “natural born citizen.” Obama facing the same challenge went to court and said that he didn’t have to prove that he was a “natural born citizen.”

As it turns out, people had good reason to ask that question about Obama, because for years Obama claimed to have been born in Kenya. He was listed as born in Kenya in his publisher’s biography. That was no doubt done to boost book sales, but it is either evidence that Obama was born in Kenya or evidence that he is not a very honest person. In some of the information about Obama when he was running for the Senate is information that Obama was born in Kenya. Once again it makes him seem more exotic and was supposed to win him more votes, and unless you’re running for president it doesn’t make any difference where you were born.”

I counted on the Rhino to bring up the Real local news that is why I read it – you will be a missed source – back in the 80’s I was talking with a neighbor who told me that your paper was the only one that told the truth for the local scene I started reading that week

The Importance of The Rhino
April 30, 2013 | 12:54 PM

The new of your paper folding saddens me deeply.
Community newspapers like The Rhino are what keep the politicians honest (well, sort of…), the schools on their toes to the benefit of our children and police departments ever vigilant lest a reporter be watching what they do.
I’m wondering if your community realizes the ramifications of The Rhino’s death? The beasts ever watchful eye will be closed, the consequence of the “Hammer” coming down on the mis-behaving will be silenced, the publcs right to know what the hell their elected officials are doing behind the scenes will be muted.
I have personally benefited from the glorious Rhino and their intrepid founders,John and Elaine Hammer. They took in this homeless reporter during the political corruption trial of John Edwards and out of the goodness of their hearts gave her a quiet place to write and a fuzzy cat to pet.
Please, everyone who reads this – send in a donation. Help the Hammers continue their good works on the internet.
They, like all dedicated journalists, work for you because they believe in their hearts YOU NEED TO KNOW.

There is always a chance that enough funds can be raised to resurrect the Rhino Times.

Unlike newspapers in general, they depended solely on advertisers and printed the truth.

They had many loyal readers. There must be thousands and thousands out there. If you are one, please donate if you can.

Remember, this was the truth in print in NC.

Good Friday March 29, 2013, The case for Christ, Historical evidence of Jesus, Crucifixion more brutal than portrayed, Shroud of Turin evidence, Atheists converted to believers

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”…Jesus, John 8:32

I am not preaching to the choir….necessarily.

Today is Good Friday, March 29, 2013, the remembrance of the Crucifixion of Jesus, a punishment far more brutal than has been portrayed to most of us.

We live in an Orwellian age of misinformation, secularism and attacks on Christianity.

Even if you are a believer, you need to have a better understanding of the suffering that Jesus endured.

Here is a small sample of the scourging impact revealed by the shroud.

“(Obama) Instead of sending troops to guard the Arizona border, we sent signs warning about the areas controlled by the Mexican drug cartels. (response) Using that same logic, wouldn’t it make sense to take away your secret service…and surround you with signs that say “please don’t shoot the president?””…British cartoon

“(man) Say, did you hear that the Obama Administration is sending stimulus checks to a lot of dead people? (woman) Well, it’s only fair…after all, they voted for him!”…British cartoon

Good for the Brits….wish our U.S. Papers would run
These, but no, we cannot believe our liberal press.
The British papers are quite different from ours,
They know what is going on and are not afraid to say it.”

The Slaughter of The Innocents Matthew 2:13 – 17

“13 When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.” 14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, 15 where he stayed until the death of Herod.

And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.”

16 When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi.

17 Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled: 18 “A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.””

“Of the 69,000 French Jews sent to Auschwitz and other camps, 10,800 were under the age of 18. The children were deported by the Vichy Government from March 27,1942, to Aug. 18,1944 — more than two months after D-Day. Of 2,500 camp survivors, a handful were children.”…NY Times January 25, 1995

“As the crisis develops, it will be important to use the mass media to inform the broader llberal community about the inefficiencies and injustices of welfare. For example, the system will not be able to process many new applicants because of cumbersome and often unconstitutional investi-gatory procedures (which cost 20c for every dollar dis-bursed). As delays mount, so should the public demand that a simplified affidavit supplant these procedures, so that the
poor may certify to their condition. If the system reacts by making the proof of eligibility more difficult, the demand should be made that the Department of Health, Education and Welfare dispatch “eligibility registrars” to enforce federal statutes governing local programs. And throughout the crisis, the mass media should be used to advance arguments for a new federal income distribution program.”…Richard Cloward and Frances Piven

“If I had my choice I would kill every reporter in the world but I am sure we would be getting reports from hell before breakfast.”… William Tecumseh Sherman

“The past, he reflected, had not merely been altered, it had
actually been destroyed. For how could you establish, even
the most obvious fact when there existed no record outside
your own memory?”…George Orwell, “1984″

Truth in print in NC.

From the Rhinoceros Times November 29, 2012.

“In 2005, Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. It had been a Category 5 hurricane and made landfall as a Category 3. The devastation to the Gulf coast, including New Orleans, was the costliest in US history. And according to the mainstream media, the devastation – including the large number of people who died, and the fact that displaced people did not have proper shelter, food and water – was the fault of then President George Walker Bush. To this day you hear about what a bad job Bush did during Katrina.”

“However, President Barack Hussein Obama doesn’t get any blame. By walking on the beach with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Obama got a lot of kudos from the mainstream media. Evidently the hurricane was not Obama’s fault and as president he was not responsible for evacuating people from their homes or providing them with shelter, food and water.”

“One thing the mainstream media refuse to understand is that conservatives do not see the growing deficit as the problem but as a symptom of a much more serious problem. The problem is that government has grown far too big and is doing too much for too many people. The result of the government being out of control is an out-of-control deficit.

If this is what you believe, then raising taxes is not a solution because it only allows the government to continue to grow. Liberals don’t see the size of government as a problem, only that the government doesn’t have enough money to pay for all of the worthwhile and important services it performs. For example, liberals believe that all Americans have a God-given right to a cell phone. Cutting out free cell phones for people is not going to balance the budget, but that attitude is what has gotten us where we are.”

“People, including the vast left-wing conspiracy at the News & Record, are all bent out of shape over these secession petitions on the internet. What happened to the right of free speech? You would think that a newspaper would support people’s right to write and sign any kind of petition they want.

For at least the last 40 years there has been a group that protests against war and in favor of world peace in front of the federal courthouse on the corner of Eugene and West Market streets. These people are extremely devoted and believe in their cause. They also believe that somehow standing on a corner in Greensboro, North Carolina, rain or shine, is going to help stop war all over the world. I don’t understand it, but I believe they have every right to stand there and protest whatever they want, and I admire them for their dedication. This is America. We are supposed to have freedom of speech and freedom of assembly.

Maybe some conservative news media have gotten all bent out of shape about these people, but I don’t recall it and I think I would know.

Many of those signing the secessionist petitions think that the federal government is already way too big. They also, for the most part, see the reelection of Obama as irrefutable evidence that the federal government is going to get bigger. Some of them no doubt would really like to secede from the United States of America. States are supposed to have some sovereignty, and if you read the Constitution, states are actually supposed to have a lot of sovereignty. Over the years the states have lost power and the federal government has gained power. Many people would like to see that trend start going the other way and begin moving back so the states in the United States mean something other than a mailing address or a way for Google maps to find a location.”

“People will be glad to know that now that the campaigning is over, Obama is back to his busy schedule running the world during the week and playing golf on the weekends. Obama was back out on the course on the Friday after Thanksgiving for his 106th round as president. However, it is his only 14th round this year because campaigning has taken up so much of his time.

With no campaigns in his future, here’s hoping that Obama can hit the golf course two or three times a week. When he is out on the course the world is a safer place. But it does say a lot about his priorities that wars and disasters don’t keep him off the golf course but a campaign for reelection does.”

“Of course, one of the huge mistakes the Romney campaign made was at the other end of the technological spectrum. I wrote several times during the campaign that the campaigns had better polling data than the public and I was half right. The Obama campaign had much better polling data than the general public and – the exception that proves the rule – the Romney campaign had much worse polling data than the general public. The Romney campaign pollsters completely missed the demographic mix of the electorate. Because of that late, in the campaign Romney was wasting time in states that he didn’t have a chance of winning instead of spending all his time in the true battleground states.”

“By the way, despite all that talk you heard about the fat cats supporting Romney with massive amounts of money, the Obama campaign raised $100 million more than the Romney campaign.”
