Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, lifelong Democrat comments

I just received a comment about Hillary and Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. This was from a life long Democrat, and though I don’t agree with everything that was said, I respect the thought that went into it and I believe it is representative of the opinion of many voters. The comment was made by user mcswain, today, February 29, 2008. Here is the comment as submitted:

on Hillary, if I may……

I have been a lifelong Democrat. I have not missed an election in the last 40 years, literally.

This Obama fellow is what is needed now, it is his time; our time. I am much older than he.

It matters not whether he can deliver, no one can really now. But he brings Hope that may be he/we can. That is what is required now, Hope and hard work. Obama is that, that and a young man’s family’s energy. That and mixed race. That and International. That and Black in America.

Hillary also is about Hope. Resolve too. However, she and Bill had their shot. Took it, hit the mark, dead on. President and Mrs. Clinton. Twice. Undeniable. 8 years. Most everyone had a some good years. Enough.

Another Hillary however……. now it has become about her; them, Bill and Hillary. About obstinance, revenge, vindication, arrogance, pay-back, resolve and a bit of Hope. About Bill involving himself in scuffles and disturbances in the crowds. About Hillary not congratulating or even acknowledging Obama’s last, whatever is the number, of victories in a row. Ridiculous. Bill & Hillary’s time was together in the past. Help them off the stage before one of them falls off and gets hurt again.

OK, that’s it.

Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Rewriting history, Dick Morris, Lies, Deception, Half Truths

US voters have short memories and many are oblivious to the truth and resemble more cattle been driven to the slaughter.

I have been revisiting “Rewriting History”, by Dick Morris, that was published in 2004 and made the NY Times bestseller list. Dick Morris was an advisor to Bill Clinton and became his campaign manager in the 1996 election. Dick Morris spent a lot of time with Bill and Hillary Clinton and knew them intimately. Dick Morris has become a serious critic of Bill and Hillary Clinton and in “Rewriting History” he reveals the truth about Hillary, the truth that only an insider and confidant could have. It still amazes me how much of the public ignores or refuses to believe the true nature of the Clintons. Here are some excerpts from “Rewriting History.” I urge you to read the book for yourself and do corroborating research.

“But some of Hillary’s hidden side is indeed dark.”

“Both of the Clintons are masters of subterfuge.”

“By contrast, Hillary knows full well who she is and what parts of her must never be exposed to public view. She reminds herself consciously, day after day, which parts of herself to hide and which to expose. Where Bill’s instinct for deception is neurotic, Hillary’s is opportunistic. He wants to hide his private life from our eyes; Hillary seeks to conceal her character from our view. But the things that Hillary hides are integral to her political essence. They are who she is and what makes her tick. Her trickery is designed to hide her most basic character and instincts from all of us.”

“The Clintons released their tax returns, but not for 1978 or 1979. Why not? I wondered. When the scandal about Hillary’s winnings in cattle future emerged, I had my answer: They were apparently anxious to hide her profits, lest there be questions about insider trading…”
“In fact, Hillary did not report her commodities profits on her
1980 tax returns; indeed, she reported a loss of $ 1,000. In April 1984, Clinton attorney, David Kendall had to announce that the Clintons were paying $ 14,615 in additional taxes, interest, and penalty on their underreported income for these years.”

A lot has been written about the “Whitewater Scandal”, but what Dick Morris has written is a must read. Here is a small sample:
“Hillary writes warmly of Susan McDougal for choosing years in jail rather than answer Starr’s questions. “Susan was suffering in jail for refusing to testify before the Whitewater Grand Jury.” But Hillary hasn’t always been so nice about Susan McDougal. When it looked as though she might turn on the Clintons, Hillary told me: “She is such a liar. She worked for Zubin Mehta and stole his silver. She’s crazy, unstable, and totally dishonest. You can’t trust a thing she says.” Susan was eventually acquitted of stealing from Mehta.”

“While I was working for the Clintons, I had firsthand experience with the tactics they used to distract, delay, and derail the work of special prosecutor Kenneth Starr.”
I could go on and on quoting Dick Morris, but it is better if you
read the book for yourself. Dick Morris has a website and if you have any questions or want more insight, visit:

John McCain born in Panama, Is McCain eligible for presidency? NY Times article

Here we go again. Is John McCain eligible to be president of the United States? Once again, the NY Times has an article about John McCain that attempts to disparage him. Apparently this question was answered some time ago. Is the NY Times trying to damage the campaign of John McCain or is it desperately trying to generate income or both? You decide. Here are some excerpts from the NY Times:

“McCain’s Canal Zone Birth Prompts Queries About Whether That Rules Him Out”

 “The question has nagged at the parents of Americans born outside the continental United States for generations: Dare their children aspire to grow up and become president? In the case of Senator John McCain of Arizona, the issue is becoming more than a matter of parental daydreaming.”

So, why did the Times run the article now?

Rush Limbaugh, Barack Hussein Obama, Muslims, drive by media

I listen to Rush Limbaugh when I can, but am busy working at other times, as I know Rush would agree with. I listened to Rush some today as he was talking about the drive by media misrepresenting his remarks about Barack Hussein Obama. At no time has Rush Limbaugh lied about Barack and his religious affiliation. Rush has not implied that Barack is a muslim. Rush also does not make a big deal about Obama’s middle name, Hussein, nor does he see the need to apologize for stating it. Barack’s middle name is Hussein. I agree with Rush. Rush is often misquoted and the subject of lies.

Here is one of the comments rush made:
“Well, this is hilarious. The media, the drive-bys, are in the midst of Obama-gasms. Because Obama — that would be Barack Hussein Obama — has announced the perfunctory and predictable exploratory committee to go out there and ask people what they think he ought to do.”

Go Rush!

1984, 2008, Big Brother, Housing Market, Recession, Thought Police, AOL, Charlotte Observer, NY Times

George Orwell was a brilliant writer and prophet, but much of the “handwriting was on the wall” regarding the direction of society and thought control. He had witnessed the propaganda of the Nazi Regime and Joseph Goebbels. Goebbels was famous for saying, “If  you are going to tell a lie, tell a big one.” Of course the Nazis crafted the big lie putting the responsibility for all of Germany’s woes on the jews.

In “1984”, Orwell portrays life in a society where all citizens are constantly told what to think and do. Every home has a screen that broadcasts production and war news and also instructions on how to live and what to think. The slight difference in that society was that each person was being monitored visually and auditorily. If you stop and think about it, we have been told for many years what to wear, how to act and what to think by television commercials and political parties. We now have computer screens doing the same thing through vehicles like AOL, etc.

For many months I have been watching the misinformation campaign emanating from AOL, the television and print media about the declining housing market in the US and then the imminent recession. I have been warning people to seek the truth and to be on the lookout for agendas of profit and political gain. This also applies to the misinformation campaign concerning “global warming.” Follow the money.

I urge everyone to revisit “1984” by George Orwell and ponder the influence on our lives from modern day purveyors of words. If you are unsure of this, just think about the products you buy or decisions you are currently making about housing, voting or other purchases.

Just today, in the Charlotte Observer, their doom campaign manifested itself again with misinformation about the economy. On the front page they are trying to correlate the relationship between food stamps in Mecklenburg County and the state of the economy. They use the “expert” word to imply that a recession is imminent. Here is an exerpt from the “experts” at the Charlotte Observer:

“Escalating food stamp requests is one sign that a recession is imminent, experts say.

Our office is the first indicator that the economy is headed south, said Peggy McCoy, economic services director for the Mecklenburg Department of Social Services.”

First of all, these people are not qualified to make this statement. Secondly, it is based on faulty data that does not account for the rapid general growth in Mecklenburg County and specifically the rapid growth in the illegal alien population. But what the heck, the facts have never gotten in the way of journalists and their agenda before. Consider the NY Times recent attempt to smear the reputation of a good man, John McCain.

Here are some excerpts from “1984”, however I urge you, your children, family and friends to read the book.

“Winston dialed “back numbers” on the telescreen and called for the appropriate issues of the TIMES, which slid out of the pneumatic tube after only a few minutes’ delay.  The messages he had received referred to articles or news items which for one reason or another it was thought necessary to alter, or, as the official phrase had it, to rectify.  For example, it appeared from the TIMES of the seventeenth of March that Big Brother, in his speech of the previous day, had predicted that the South Indian front would remain quiet but that a Eurasian offensive would shortly be launched in North africa.  As it happened, the Eurasian Higher Command had launched its offensive in South India and left North Africa alone.  it was therefore necessary to rewrite a paragraph of Big Brother’s speech in such a way as to make him predict the thing that had actually happened.”
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week.  Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours?  Yes, they swallowed it.  Parsons swallowed it easily, with the stupidity of an animal.”
“We control life, Winston, at all its levels.  You are imagining that there is something called human nature which will be outraged by what we do and will turn against us.  But we create human nature.  Men are infinitely malleable.  Or perhaps you have returned to your old idea that the proletarians or the slaves will arise and overthrow us.  Put it out of your mind.  They are helpless, like the animals.  Humanity is the Party.  The others are outside – irrelevant.

Read “1984”, question what you read and hear, seek the truth and follow the money.

Climate Science: Roger Pielke Sr. Research Group News, Global Warming

R.A. Pielke Sr. has relaunched a climate science blog. Here is the announcement from the site:

“As a result of very positive encouragement from many Climate Science readers, I have decided to relaunch the website. The format will be different than in the past, however, in that comments will not be permitted. The posting of information will not be on a schedule, but when new information on a climate science issue is available that is otherwise not very visible, or has been misrepresented in the media.

The presentation of climate science in the media, unfortunately, remains biased, as has been documented numerous times on Climate Science. Thus, I have decided to reenter this mechanism of providing information. While comments will not be permitted on the website, guest presentations will be invited when there is value in providing this source of information.

Climate Science will thus provide a source of information on climate that, hopefully, will be useful to others, as part of a much needed effort to provide a balanced view of climate science.

Thanks to those who have found my website of value and take the time to read it!”

Below are the main conclusions of Roger Pielke SR.:

The Climate Science Weblog has clearly documented the following
conclusions since July 2005:
  1. The needed focus for the study of climate change and variability is on the regional and local scales. Global and zonally-averaged climate metrics would only be important to the extent that they provide useful information on these space scales.
  2. Global and zonally-averaged surface temperature trend assessments, besides having major difficulties in terms of how this metric is diagnosed and analyzed, do not provide significant information on climate change and variability on the regional and local scales.
  3. Global warming is not equivalent to climate change. Significant, societally important climate change, due to both natural- and human- climate forcings, can occur without any global warming or cooling.
  4. The spatial pattern of ocean heat content change is the appropriate metric to assess climate system heat changes including global warming.
  5. In terms of climate change and variability on the regional and local scale, the IPCC Reports, the CCSP Report on surface and tropospheric temperature trends, and the U.S. National Assessment have overstated the role of the radiative effect of the anthropogenic increase of CO2 relative to the role of the diversity of other human climate climate forcing on global warming, and more generally, on climate variability and change.
  6. Global and regional climate models have not demonstrated skill at predicting regional and local climate change and variability on multi-decadal time scales.
  7. Attempts to significantly influence regional and local-scale climate based on controlling CO2 emissions alone is an inadequate policy for this purpose.
  8. A vulnerability paradigm, focused on regional and local societal and environmental resources of importance, is a more inclusive, useful, and scientifically robust framework to interact with policymakers, than is the focus on global multi-decadal climate predictions which are downscaled to the regional and local scales. The vulnerability paradigm permits the evaluation of the entire spectrum of risks associated with different social and environmental threats, including climate variability and change.

Humans are significantly altering the global climate, but in a variety of diverse ways beyond the radiative effect of carbon dioxide. The IPCC assessments have been too conservative in recognizing the importance of these human climate forcings as they alter regional and global climate. These assessments have also not communicated the inability of the models to accurately forecast the spread of possibilities of future climate. The forecasts, therefore, do not provide any skill in quantifying the impact of different mitigation strategies on the actual climate response
that would occur.”

PBS, History Detectives, Wes Cowan, political views, answer from PBS

I watch a lot of public tv. I especially like the quality of NC public tv. When I watch a show, I do not wish to hear the political opinion or experience a political agenda unraveling, unless the show is about politics or the host has made it clear in the beginning. Yesterday, Saturday, February 23, 2008, I was watching History Detectives. Wes Cowan, one of the hosts, was narrating and mentioned that The Swift Boat Veterans had smeared the reputation of John Kerry and possibly cost him the election. This immediately caught my attention, because it is an outright lie. I know what a smear campaign is. We just experienced a smear campaign from the cowards and liars at the NY Times. They attempted to smear the character of a good man, John McCain, and it has backfired.

When the controversy about John Kerry surfaced again during his presidential bid, I decided to research the matter and bought the book. I also read independent material. Unlike the hypocrites at the NY Times, Kerry’s contempoaries and superiors brought the matter up years ago. One of the authors of the book, “Unfit for Command”, John O’Neill,  faced John Kerry on the Dick Cavett Show in 1971. Enough evidence to send anyone to prison has been produced by numerous witnesses from all walks of life. I will let the quotes from the book speak. If you have any questions, I urge you to do the research.

“I do not believe John Kerry is fit to be commander in chief of the armed forces of the United States. This is not a political issue. It is a matter of his judgement, truthfulness, reliability, loyalty, and trust–all absolute tenets of command.”

Rear Admiral Roy F. Hoffman, USN (retired), commander of the Swift Boats in Vietnam, 1968-1969

To really understand John Kerry, you have to listen to those who served with him in Vietnam.”

John Edwards

“When John Kerry got his third Purple Heart, we told him to leave. We knew how the system worked and we didn’t want him in CosDiv11. Kerry did’t decide to manipulate the system to go home after four months, we asked hin to go home.”

Thomas W Wright, USN (retired), Swift Boat Commander

Lt. Kerry returned home from the war to make some outrageous statements and allegations. Numerous criminal acts in violations of the law of war were cited by Kerry, disparaging those who had fought with honor in that conflict.”

Lt. Col. James Zumwalt, USMC (retired)

“Kerry’s turncoat performance in 1971 in his grubby shirt and his medal tossing escapade, coupled with his slanderous liesin the recent book portraying us that served, including all POWs and MIAs, as murderous war criminals, I believe, will have a lasting effect on all military veterans and their families.”

Captain Charles Plumly, USN (retired)

The book, “Unfit for Command”, is loaded with commentary and facts from those that served with Kerry. If you have any doubt, I  strongly urge you to read it.

So, back to PBS, “History Detectives” and Wes Cowan. To state that the Swift Boat Veterans smeared Kerry’s reputation is obviously a lie. Is it the old saying, “birds of a feather flock together” i.e., “liars stick together.” Are we hearing from Kerry supporters that are also liars?

I demand an answer from PBS for the american public. Was this the work of a rogue writer. Wes Cowan, is this your work? Yes, we deserve an answer and objective tv programs. If the program has a political agenda, we should be notified.

And yes, make no mistake, the author of the statement proclaiming that the Swift Boat Veterans smeared John Kerry’s reputation is a liar. John Kerry alone, ruined his own reputation.

Democracy, stages, big government, dependence, political speeches, Alexander Fraser Tytler

As you listen to the political speeches, platforms and promises of the 2008 presidential campaign, ponder the words of Alexander Fraser Tytler, a british lawyer and writer. Tytler believed that governments and democracy go through stages that last 200 years. His thoughts are rather amazing when compared to the current state of democracy in the US. I believe we are in the apathy to dependence stage. Listen to the presidential candidates speak of what you are due from government, what you are entitled to. Is this what you really want, dependence?

A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.
The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

  • From bondage to spiritual faith;
  • From spiritual faith to great courage;
  • From courage to liberty;
  • From liberty to abundance;
  • From abundance to complacency;
  • From complacency to apathy;
  • From apathy to dependence;
  • From dependence back into bondage.

Federal income tax, Clinton versus Bush comparison

Once again, the nice lady from the west coast has delivered an interesting email. Think the democrats are watching out for the little guy? Think George Bush and the republicans are just trying to help the wealthy? Read the following:

After watching a focus group of democrats that watched the democratic debate the other day in Vegas, ….  for the most part, all of them bashed Bush over and over again on how he is out for his millionaire friends and the big oil companies and he has totally forgotten or disregarded the little guy.  So, an ex-IRS employee decided to look back on the tax tables to see if there is any truth to what they said and the media keeps stating as fact, “Bush is only out for the rich in this country.”

Based on using the actual tax tables (see link below), here are some examples on what the taxes were/are on various amounts of income for both singles and married couples. so let’s see if the Bush tax cuts only helped the rich.
Taxes under Clinton 1999                                     Taxes under Bush 2008
Single making 30K – tax $8,400                           Single making 30K – tax $4,500
Single making 50K – tax $14,000                         Single making 50K – tax $12,500
Single making 75K – tax $23,250                          Single making 75K – tax $18,750
Married making 60K – tax $16,800                     Married making 60K – tax $9,000
Married making 75K – tax $21,000                     Married making 75K – tax $18,750
Married making 125K – tax $38,750                 Married making 125K – tax $31,250
If you want to know just how effective the mainstream media is, it is amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever.  If any democrat is elected, ALL of them say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can’t wait for it to happen.  This is like the movie ‘The Sting’ with Paul Newman, you scam somebody out of some money and they don’t even know what happened.  Now this is effective (maybe not honest) marketing or maybe a better word is brain washing.

Iraq War justification, Iraq War reasons, can we justify, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Barack Obama

Below are some of the justifications for the Iraq War. What are your reactions to these quotes with 20/20 hindsight? Were we justified to invade Iraq? Were these statements credible and based on credible intelligence? Did Saddam Hussein use weapons of mass destruction? Respond with your comments.

1.  “We must stop Saddam from ever again jeopardizing the
stability and security of his neighbors with weapons of mass
destruction.”  “The chemical weapons Saddam has used and the biological weapons we know he has tested pay no attention to borders and nationalities.”

2.  “If diplomacy runs out, we have reserved the right to use
force and if we do so it will be substantial.”

3.  “No one has done what Saddam Hussein has done, or is thinking of doing.  He is producing weapons of mass destruction, and he is qualitatively and quantitatively different from other dictators.”

4.  “What we are doing is so that you all can sleep at night.  I am very proud of what we are doing.  We are the greatest nation in the world and what we are doing is being the indispensable nation, willing to make the world safe for our children and grandchildren, and for nations who follow the rules.”

5.  “Saddam (Hussein) must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons.”

6.  “If Saddam can cripple the weapons inspections sytem and get away with it, he would conclude the international community, led by the United States, has simply lost its will.  He would surmise that he has free rein to rebuild his arsenal of destruction.”

7.  “Earlier today I ordered America’s armed forces to strike
military and security targets in Iraq.  They are joined by British forces.  Their mission is to attack Iraq’s nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors.  While other countires also had weapons of mass desctuction, Hussein is in a different category because he has used such weapons
against his own people and against his neighbors.

8.  “Along with Prime minister (Tony)Blair of Great Britain, I made it equally clear that if Saddam failed to cooperate fully we would be prepared to act without delay, diplomacy or warning.”

9.  “The best way to end that threat once and for all is with a new Iraqi goverment — a government ready to live in peace with its neighbors, a government that respects the rights of its people.”

10.  “But once more, the United States has proven that although we are never eager to use force, when we must act in America’s vital interests, we will do so.”
