Pastor James Manning, Columbia University treason, Obama treason, Manning claims Obama did not attend, Alleged Columbia Obama article, 1983, Breaking the war mentality

Pastor James Manning of Atlah Ministries in Harlem, New York City, is charging Columbia University with treason. Pastor Manning alleges that Obama was in Afghanistan during the period of time from 1981 to 1983 when Obama was supposedly attending Columbia. The following document is allegedly an article written by Barack Obama in 1983 and published in the  Sundial . The Citizen Wells blog will be publishing an article soon that will shed light on why Dr. James Manning’s allegations may not be as far fetched as the casual observer may believe. It is believed at the Citizen Wells blog that Obama was probably enrolled and/or affiliated with Columbia University. The question is, what was that connection and did Obama, as Manning alleges, spend much time in Afghanistan.

Here is the text from the article, typed for clarity. Below is a link to a copy of the article. No claims are made here as to the authenticity of the article or as to whether Barack Obama is the author. Commentary about the content will be reserved for the following article.

“BREAKING THE WAR MENTALITY

By Barack Obama

Most students at Columbia do not have first hand knowledge of war.  Military violence has been a vicarious experience, channeled into our minds through television, film, and print.

The more sensitive among us struggle to extrapolate experiences of war from our everyday experience, discussing the latest mortality statistics from Guatemala, sensitizing ourselves to our parents’ wartime memories, or incorporation into our framework of reality as depicted by a Mailer or a Coppola.  But the taste of war – the sounds and chill, the dead bodies – are remote and far removed.  We know that wars have occurred, will occur, are occurring, but bringing such experience down into our hearts, and taking continual, tangible steps to prevent war, becomes a difficult task.

Two groups on campus, Arms Race Alternatives (ARA) and Students Against Militarism (SAM), work within these mental limits to foster awareness and practical action necessary to counter the growing threat of war.  Though the emphasis of the two groups differ, they share an aversion to current government policy.  These groups, visualizing the possibilities of destruction and grasping the tendencies of distorted national priorities, are throwing their weight into shifting America off the dead-end track.

Most people my age remember well the air-raid drills in school, under the desk with our heads tucked between our legs.  Older people, they remember the Cuban Missile Crisis.  I think these kinds of things left an indelible mark on our souls, so we’re more apt to be concerned,” says Don Kent, assistant director of programs and student activities at Earl Hall Center.  Along with the community Volunteer Service Center, ARA has been Don’s primary concern, coordinating various working groups of faculty, students, and staff.  “Hot issues, particularly El Salvador, were occupying students at the time, consequently, we cosponsored a lot of activities with community organizations like SANE (Students Against Nuclear Energy).”

With the flowering of the nuclear Freeze movement, and particularly the June 12 rally in Central Park, however, student participation has expanded.  One wonders whether this upsurge stems from young people’s penchant for the latest “happenings”, or from growing awareness of the consequences of nuclear holocaust.  ARA maintains a mailing list of 500 persons and Don Kent estimates that approximately half of the active members are students.  Although he feels that continuity is provided by the faculty and staff members, student attendance at ARA sponsored events – in particular a November 11 convocation on the nuclear threat – reveals a deep reservoir of concern.  “I think students on this campus like to think of themselves as sophisticated, and don’t appreciate small vision.  So they tend to come out more for the events; they do not want to just fold leaflets.”

Mark Bigelow, a graduate intern from Union
Theological Seminary who works with Dan to keep ARA running smoothly, agrees.  “It seems that students here are fairly aware of the nuclear problem, and it makes for an underlying frustration.  We try to talk to that frustration.”  Consequently, the thrust of ARA is towards generating dialogue which will give people a rational handle on this controversial subject.  This includes bringing speakers like Daniel Ellsberg to campus, publishing fact sheets compiled by interested faculty, and investigating the possible development of an interdisciplinary program in the Columbia curriculum dealing with peace, disarmament and world order.

Tied in with such a thrust is the absence of what Don calls “a party line.”  By taking an almost apolitical approach to the problem, ARA hopes to get the university to take nuclear arms issues seriously.  “People don’t like having their intelligence insulted,” says Don. “so we try to disseminate information and allow the individual to make his or her own decision.”

Generally, the narrow focus of the Freeze movement as well as academic discussions of first versus second strike capabilities, suit the military-industrial interests, as they continue adding in their billion dollar erector sets.  When Peter Tosh sings that “everybody’s asking for peace, but nobody’s asking for justice,” one is forced to wonder whether disarmament or arms control issues, severed from economic and political issues, might be another instance of focusing on the symptoms of a problem instead of the disease itself.  Mark Bigelow does not think so.  “We do focus primarily on catastrophic weapons.

Look, we say, here’s the worst part, let’s work on that.  You’re not going to get rid of the military in the near future, so let’s at least work on this.”

Mark Bigelow does feel that the links are there, and points to fruitful work being done by other organizations involved with disarmament.  “The Freeze is one part of a whole disarmament movement. The lowest common denominator, so to speak.  For instance, April 10-16 is Jobs For Peace week, with a bunch of things going on around the city.  Also, the New York City Council may pass a resolution in April calling for greater social as opposed to military spending.  Things like this may dispel the idea that disarmament is a white issue, because how the government spends its revenue affects everyone.”

The very real advantages of concentrating on a single issue is leading the National Freeze movement to challenge individual missile systems, while continuing the broader campaign.  This year, Mark Bigelow sees the checking of Pershing II and Cruise missile deployment as crucial.  “Because of their small size and mobility, their deployment will make possible arms control verification far more difficult, and will cut down warning time for the Soviets to less than ten minutes.  That can only be a destabilizing factor.  “Additionally, he sees the initiation by the U.S. of the Test Ban Treaty as a powerful first step towards a nuclear free world.

ARA encourages members to join buses to Washington and participate in a March 7-8 rally intended to push through the Freeze resolution which is making its seconds trip through the House.  ARA also will ask United Campuses to Prevent Nuclear War (UCAM), an information and lobbying network based in universities, nationwide, to serve as its advisory board in the near future.  Because of its autonomy from Columbia (which does not fund political organizations) UCAM could conceivably become a more active arm of disarmament campaigns on campus, though the ARA will continue to function solely as a vehicle for information and discussion.

Also operating out of Earl Hall Center, Students Against Militarism was formed in response to the passage of registration laws in 1980.  An entirely student-run organization, SAM casts a wider net than ARA, though for the purposes of effectiveness, they have tried to lock in on one issue at a time.

“At the heart of our organization is an anti-war focus”, says junior Robert Kahn, one of SAM’s fifteen or so active members.  “From there, a lot of issues shoot forth – nukes, racism, the draft, and South Africa.  “We have been better organized when taking one issue at a time, but we are always cognizant of other things going on, and collaborate frequently with other campus organizations like CISPES and REEL-POLITIK.”

At this time, the current major issue is the Solomon Bill, the latest legislation from Congress to obtain compliance to registration.  The law requires that all male students applying for federal financial aid submit proof of registration, or else the government coffers will close.  Yale, Wesleyan, and Swathmore have refused to comply, and plan to offer non-registrants other forms of financial aid.  SAM hopes to press Columbia into following suit, though so far President Sovern and company seem prepared to acquiesce to the bill.

Robert believes students tacitly support non-registrants, though the majority did not comply.  “Several students have come up to our tables and said that had they known of the ineffectiveness of prosecution, they would not have registered.”  A measure of such underlying support is the 400 signatures, on a petition protesting the Solomon Bill, which SAM collected the first four hours it appeared.  Robert also points out that prior to registration, there were four separate bills circulation in the House proposing a return to the draft, but none ever got out of committees, and there have not been renewed efforts.  An estimated half-million registrants can definitely be a powerful signal.

Prodding students into participating beyond name signing and attending events is tricky, but SAM members seem undaunted.  “A lot of the problem comes not from people’s ignorance of the facts, but because the news and statistics are lifeless.  That’s why we search for campus issues like the Solomon bill that have direct impact on the student body, and effectively link the campus to broader issues.”  By organizing and educating the Columbia community, such activities lay the foundation for future mobilization against the relentless, often silent spread of militarism in the county.  “The time is right to tie together social and military issues, “Robert continues, “and the more strident the Administration becomes, the more aware people are of their real interests.

The belief that moribund institutions, rather than individuals are at the root of the problem, keep SAM’s energies alive.  “A prerequisite for members of an organization like ours is the faith that people are fundamentally good, but you need to show them.  And when you look at the work people are doing across the county, it makes you optimistic.

Perhaps the essential goodness of humanity is an arguable proposition, but by observing the SAM meeting last Thursday night, with its solid turnout and enthusiasm, one might be persuaded that the manifestations of our better instincts can at least match the bad ones.   Regarding Columbia’s possible compliance, one comment in particular hit upon an important point with the Solomon bill, “The thing we need to do is expose how Columbia is talking out of two sides of its mouth.”

Indeed the most pervasive malady of the collegiate system specifically, and the American experience generally, in that elaborate patterns of knowledge and theory have been disembodied from individual choices and government policy.  What the members of ARA and SAM try to do is infuse what they have learned about the current situation, bring the words of that formidable roster on the face of Butler Library, names like Thoreau, Jefferson, and Whitman, to bear on the twisted logic of which we are today a part.  By adding their energy and effort in order to enhance the possibility of a decent world, they may help deprive us of a spectacular experience – that of war.  But then, there are some things we shouldn’t have to live through in order to want to avoid the experience.”

NPR, Learn to speak tea bag, Insults Tea Party Movement, Insults concerned Americans, National Public Radio, Americans portrayed as paranoid, redneck, Nazis

I used to regularly listen to NPR and Rush Limbaugh. Now about all I can tolerate from NPR is listening to “Car Talk.” They used to have more unbiased quality shows. NPR, National Public Radio is publicly funded.

From GOP USA, January 5, 2009.

“NPR Shows Everyone How to Speak ‘Tea Bag’… with OUR Money”
“It is surely true that everyone should have a sense of humor, and, of course, what’s funny to one person is not necessarily funny to someone else. Politicians are mocked, caricatured, and ridiculed all the time. It’s part of America’s history to make fun of our leaders and to bring them down to our level.
But what happens when the so-called “humor” crosses the line? It’s one thing to make fun of someone, but trying to discredit an entire movement of frustrated Americans and doing it with taxpayer money is something entirely different. How much longer are we going to continue to fund left-wing propaganda with OUR money? Just look at the NPR web site for their latest “humor” directed at the hundreds of thousands of “Tea Party” activists across the country.
Prominently displayed on the National Public Radio (NPR) web site is a new cartoon titled, “Learn To Speak Tea Bag.” Of course, Tea Party activists don’t ever use the term “tea bag,” a phrase that refers to a sexual act and which has been used by the media to demean the entire tea party movement.”

I am sure that I speak for millions of Americans when I state that I am fed up with hard working, concerned, patriotic Americans being bombarded with elitist, socialist, big government insults. Let’s give NPR some feedback and remind them of where their funding comes from.

Doug Hoffman, No recount, Election over, Sequoia voting machines, Count errors, Voter fraud, Nancy Pelosi, NY district 23, Bill Owens broke 4 campaign promises

Doug Hoffman, who narrowly lost the congressional race in NY District 23 to Bill Owens, has declared that the election is over and there will be no recount. This comes after numerous errors were committed election night, Nancy Pelosi certifying Bill Owens the winner, before he was certified by the state of New York, in time to vote for the Health Care Bill, and known software bugs or tampering with of the controversial Sequoia voting machines.

Doug Hoffman, on one level this was your decision to make. However, we are in different times. This is not the country your parents knew.

We have entered a new world, a post Nazi takeover, Orwellian world where being polite or naively playing the gentleman card as Nevile Chamberlain did with the Germans, will result in catastrophe. On a higher level, Mr. Hoffman, this is the decision of New York residents and ultimately the American people. Regardless of your actions or your next move, this serious breach of the public trust, must be investigated. As I and others have stated, Barack Obama, the Obama camp and Obama thugs, including, but not limited to ACORN and SEIU, stole the Democratic primaries and caucuses through election fraud and intimidation. With warnings issued early in 2008 about voting machines and possible control of them by Chavez’s Venezuela or muslim countries, and now the evidence from the NY District 23 election, God only knows the extent that voting machines altered vote counts in 2008. We must protect our elections going forward.

We must have an investigation.

Dear Friends,
Today, Tuesday, November 24, 2009, it is with a heavy heart that we declare this election over.  We will formally end this election and not ask for a recount.  This was a difficult choice to make because so many people have put their faith, hope and aspirations into our campaign.
Yes, there seem to have been many vote counting problems, missed vote counts and, as was recently reported by the Gouvernour Times, software problems in the computerized voting machines. Despite these incidents, I do not believe the voters of NY-23, or New Yorkers in general, would be well-served by a disruptive and costly recount that would most likely not change the election outcome.
I know many are disappointed and even angry. To those I say now is not the time to look back, but to focus on the future and ensure that next year we win back this district decidedly. Know this decision was not an easy one. I did not want to let down those who worked so hard, donated so much and shared their enthusiasm for retaking our country with common-sense conservative values.
And rest assured, our energies are now directed toward 2010. This election, in which a third party candidate narrowly lost, showed that principles do matter.  Special interests do have an Achilles’ heel, the American people. Main-street conservatism’s voice is now echoing through the government chambers and boardrooms that shape America. By most measures, this campaign was a success and I have you all to thank for this. And all of us have to thank the Conservative Party of New York State for nominating a candidacy like ours.
We take away lessons from this year’s campaign that will make us stronger and more competitive in the future. Next time we will be better prepared. Many people forget that our campaign only began in earnest three months ago. Most campaigns of this stature take at least a year to prepare. In three months, we almost toppled an entrenched political system and successfully defied the conventional thinking of the elite political punditry. Citizen government is making a comeback in America.
I thank everyone who participated in this campaign and urge each one of you to stand with me in the future. We have a calling that we must answer. My opponent in this race quickly abandoned the promises he made to his voters. Within the first hour of being sworn in by Nancy Pelosi, Bill Owens broke 4 campaign promises — so much for change in Washington. We must resoundingly defeat him next year and, with your help, I promise to help restore our nation’s faith in elected officials when we win.
But there is more to do than just win back NY-23 in 2010. We must work to help other like-minded citizen candidates win across the country.  We need to make time to help other candidates who are working for the principles we hold dear — other fiscal, common-sense conservatives.  Together we can successfully take back our great nation, one legislator and one member at a time. We need more than one common-sense conservative voice in the echo chamber of liberal, spend thrift cacophony if we are to redirect our great country.
I would also like to commend those election commission officials who worked tirelessly and may have taken offense to an unfortunate and poorly worded fundraising email that was sent out toward the end of our campaign.  As we tried to make sense of the false vote counts and stories of software viruses in the voting machines, we never intended to imply the election commissioners had somehow acted improperly. This was never our intention and, on the contrary, the election commissioners went above and beyond to uphold their duty to ensure a fair election took place. I owe them a debt of gratitude for all they have done.
So where to now? Full speed ahead to 2010. This gives us time to carefully articulate and communicate thoughtful positions on issues that impact the great people of our district and ensure that our campaign promises are NOT broken.  Best of all, it allows me to work hand-in-hand with the many supporters who shared their ideas, their concerns and their dreams with me.
We need to continue to stand united because we cannot spend our way out of recession or tax our way to prosperity. We must continue to fight to protect our liberties and protect those who are yet to be born.  We must protect our country against terrorists and protect the sanctity of marriage. We must fix our corrupt tax code, our immigration policy and our educational system.  Most of all, we must defend the free enterprise system that made America the greatest and most prosperous country in the world.  Although I’m conceding an election today, I do it with the certainty that we will win back this seat a year from now.  I am certain of this because our mission is too big, the country’s problems too dire and the American people are too smart.
Thank you for all you have done and will continue to do. “We the people” are retaking America.

Doug Hoffman, this is bigger than you or the election in NY. We are at a crucial point in the history of this country. The actions we take now will determine the security and pursuit of life, liberty and happiness that our descendants and ultimately the entire world will enjoy.

Mr. Hoffman, you have chosen to end the election. I urge you to not end the cause.

Afghanistan war tax, War surtax, David Obey, Carl Levin, Democrats, Representative Obey, Senator Levin, Senate Armed Services Committee, General Stanley McChrystal

Representative David Obey and Senator Carl Levin, both Democrats, want a new tax to pay for additional troops in Afghanistan. We already have another asshole Democrat, Barack Obama, who is supposed to be Commander in Chief, who is politicizing the war.

Sorry about the asshole reference, but since it is the truth, that is what I promised.

General Stanley McChrystal, handpicked by Obama, requested 40,000 more troops 3 months ago.

From Fox News, November 24, 2009.

“Lawmakers Propose ‘War Surtax’ to Pay for Troop Increase in Afghanistan”

“Rep. David Obey, D-Wis., and Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., are proposing new taxes to pay for more U.S. troops in Afghanistan.”

“Two top Democrats say they want to impose a new tax on the wealthy to finance any increase in U.S. troops for the Afghanistan war.

Rep. David Obey, D-Wis., chairman of the purse string-controlling House Appropriations Committee, is calling the idea a “war surtax.” He said that just as the federal government is expected to pay for its proposed intervention in the health care sector with new taxes, any escalated involvement in Afghanistan should come with a payment plan.

“If we have to pay for the health care bill, we should pay for the war as well … by having a war surtax,” Obey told ABC News in an interview that aired Monday. “The problem in this country with this issue is that the only people that has to sacrifice are military families and they’ve had to go to the well again and again and again and again, and everybody else is blithely unaffected by the war.”

Sen. Carl Levin, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, is making a similar demand.

President Obama plans to hold his ninth meeting Monday evening with his national security team to discuss options for overhauling the strategy in Afghanistan. The president has been considering requests for tens of thousands more U.S. troops from his top commander, Gen. Stanley McChrystal, for nearly three months. He is not expected to announce his new strategy before Thanksgiving.

But any request would likely come with a hefty price tag. One option presented by McChrystal would bring 40,000 more troops into Afghanistan — a proposal estimated to cost about $40 billion, according to the Office of Management and Budget.

Obey said if an increase like that is approved without any payment mechanism, then other domestic initiatives would be wiped out. ”

So, let me get this straight. The Democrats, led by Obama, Pelosi and Reid, are trying to ram an unpopular, costly health care bill down our throats. They are trying to implement a Cap and Trade bill based on documented liberal lies. Obama has delayed a decision on sending troops to Afghanistan for three months. And now these low life, socialists want to further politicize the war.

The troop buildup may take place in this country.

Acorn corruption, Dumpster documents, Andrew Breitbart, Private investigator Derrick Roach, Acorn office, National City CA, San Diego County, Hannah Giles, James O’Keefe, Undercover videos

“ACORN Report
The ACORN Report is published by ACORN’s National Office and contains up-to-date information. We have ACORN Reports indexed by date and topic available.”

“City Limits February 1999
During its 15 years in New York City, ACORN has helped squatters claim derelict city-owned property, forced bankers to invest in low-income communities, and organized a war against the city’s workfare program.

It’s also developed a reputation for no-holds-barred tactics—getting results through adversarial campaigns against bankers, politicians and bureaucrats using confrontation and concession rather than consensus. ACORN, unlike most social service non-profits, scorns charity. Their goal is to help poor people seize power.”

In ACORN’s own words, confrontation and seize power. It is no wonder that an organization with that open agenda would do more brazen deeds behind the scenes.

John Charleton of The Post & Email has brought to our attention more investigative reporting from Andrew Breitbart and Private Investigator Derrick Roach.

November 23, 2009

“DOCUMENT DISCOVERY SHEDS LIGHT ON ACORN’S ROLE IN 2008 ELECTION FRAUD”

“Private Eye and genuine Patriot Derrick Roach has reported how he took it upon himself to investigate the activities of ACORN’s office in National City (San Diego County, CA). After damning undercover video work by Citizen Heroes Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe and the subsequent revelation of criminal and civil activities, comes now stunning new revelations by way of a myriad of sensitive internal Acorn documents, files and records fecklessly deposited in a public dumpster and recovered by Roach during his investigative work on the evening of Oct 9, 2009.

Accounts show that this dumping, took place days prior to the Attorney General’s scheduled visit regarding an investigation opened on October 1st, 2009 by California Attorney General Jerry Brown. Brown announced that an investigation has been opened into ACORN’s activities in California, resulting from undercover videos showing what appears to be employees willingly offering and advancing to assist the undercover film makers Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe, posing as a prostitute and her pimp, seeking advice with human smuggling, child prostitution and tax evasion.”

“I am a local licensed private investigator. I took it upon myself to keep an eye on what the local ACORN office was up to, in light of the release of the undercover (Giles-O’Keefe) videos. I retrieved these documents from the public dumpster.”

“ACORN’s political agenda is also exposed, with thousands upon thousands of documents revealing the depth of the political machine that is ACORN, and its disturbing ties to not only public employee labor unions but some of the most radical leftist organizations.”

“In what is rapidly appearing to be a meltdown of Marxist Agenda, further revealing scandal, criminal and anti Liberty activities. The Alinsky/Obama Cabal is having their agendas and plans for world domination uncovered and their Asses handed to them at an ever-increasing rate. Due mostly to Citizen Journalists and Blog Runners with the New Media Pioneers doing yeoman’s duty, Freedom loving peoples the world over now have access to the truth.”

From Andrew Breitbart’s website, November 23, 2009

“The next phase will be the evidentiary phase.  Starting with, but not limited to an extraordinary document dump at the San Diego office that was one of the offices  O’Keefe and Giles exposed, causing the firing of a single employee.
On October 1, California Attorney General Jerry Brown, who once again aspires to be the state’s governor, announced that he was investigating  not just ACORN in California, but also the truth tellers who exposed the alleged corruption and illegality.

Last night, I hosted a three-hour show on KFI 640 AM, the largest radio  station in the country, and use the opportunity to announce the  existence of 20,000 deeply sensitive and highly political documents  discovered in the dumpster behind ACORN in San Diego on October 9,  nine days after ACORN was announced to be under state investigation.

Some might call that “obstruction of justice.”

Listen to the entire interview with the private investigator who filled his Suburban with the documents in the following audio. It is explosive radio that hopefully shows the proper authorities that ACORN is making a mockery of this country’s laws and judicial process.”

Sarah Palin attacks, BarackObama.com, Organizing for America, Obama thugs attack Palin, Going Rogue, Orwellian, Nazi brownshirts, Obama and Democrats attack America

Barack Obama, the Obama camp and the Democrat Party continue to attack Sarah Palin. They are openly, flagrantly, requesting donations to continue their Orwellian attacks on Palin. Attacking Palin is attacking America, American values and us, the American people. If they want war with the American people, by God they will get it.

Yesterday, November 20, 2009, the Citizen Wells blog explained that the Attacks on Sarah Palin are not just attacks on her. The attacks are also aimed at what is good about this country. This is fundamentally a struggle between good and evil. Looking back on the attacks against Sarah Palin and her family during the 2008 election, one only has to remember the comments made about Palin’s mentally challenged son, why Palin did not abort him aand the many viscious statements made about the daughter who got pregnant, to realize that evil drives this agenda.
Attacks on Sarah Palin and America, Good Vs Evil

Organizing  for America, BarackObama.com, is requesting donations to fight Sarah Palin. They accuse her of  lying and deception. Talk about audacity. Obama and his thugs are the masters of lies and deception. Big brother of  “1984” could have learned much from them. The Organizing for America website has Barack Obama in it’s .com name. Barack Obama and the Democrat Party must take ownership in it’s content.

Help us raise $500,000 in the next week to push back against Sarah Palin and her special interest allies.

Whatever lie Sarah Palin comes up with next will be widely covered by the media, then constantly echoed by right-wing attack groups and others who are trying to defeat reform.

And as we approach the final sprint on health reform, we can’t afford more deception and delay. We need to be ready for anything — and have the resources to respond with ads, events, and calls to Congress when the attacks come.

So we’re setting a big goal: $500,000 in the next week to help push back against Sarah Palin and her allies. Can you chip in to help reach our goal?

Barack Obama, the Obama camp and the Democrat party continue to use Chicago style intimidation to attempt to shut down all opposition to their radical socialist agenda. They used Nazi brownshirt and Orwellian threats in 2008 to steal the election. Now they are focusing their attention on a good American, Sarah Palin and her family. What they did not count on is that Palin resonates with the American public. When they attack Palin, they attack us and we are not going to take it.

Sarah Palin attacks, Palin book, Going Rogue, Good Vs Evil, 1984, Hate, Conservative female threatens left, Socialists, Right versus wrong

“What has been will be again,
       what has been done will be done again;

“I took with me certain simple criteria with which to measure.
That which made for more life, for physical and spiritual health, was good;
that which made for less life, which hurt, dwarfed and distorted life, was bad.”…Jack London

“Before the Hate had proceeded for thirty seconds, uncontrollable exclamations of rage were breaking out from half the people in the room.”

Lies

Leftists

Liberalism

If you are offended by references to the Bible, good versus evil or anything that is not politically correct, you are in the wrong place.

Everyone is tap dancing around the attacks on Sarah Palin. People with the best of intentions speak of her as a conservative female threatening the philosophies and positions of those on the left. Let’s call this what it is. This is a classic struggle between good and evil, right versus wrong.

The modern day Democrat Party is controlled by far left socialists who are driven by a message of hate. Hate George Bush, Hate America and recently Hate Sarah Palin. The Beatles, in their song “Revolution”, had this to say:

“But when you want money
for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait”

“You say you’ll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it’s the institution
Well, you know
You better free you mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
You ain’t going to make it with anyone anyhow”

It seems the leftist Democrats have covered all the bases. Hate, change the Constitution and carrying pictures of  Chairman Mao (Anita Dunn).

Sarah Palin is not a perfect person, her humanity prevents that. She is, however a good person who loves her family, her country and follows her moral compass, her concept of God, the creator of all. She is against many of the ideological positions that have slowly taken hold of this country.

Sarah Palin represents what is right about this country. She tries to live her life by doing the right thing. She apparently intimidates those who believe:

  • Women should follow the dictates of the Democrat Party.
  • Abortion is always ok and should not be reserved for the lesser of evils.
  • There is no God.
  • There is no right or wrong.
  • The founding fathers and US Constitution are out of vogue and not relevant to modern issues.
  • European countries should be emulated.
  • A Government option will improve health care.
  • Global warming is real and is mainly the fault of Americans.
  • An endangered fish is more important than endangered humans.
  • Drilling for oil is always wrong.
  • Terrorists are regular criminals with constitutional rights.
  • Patriotism, Religion and Guns are not fashionable.

I am next going to refer to Jesus of Nazareth. The life and tenets of Jesus are known by Christians, Jews and Muslims, so most of you should understand what I am about to write. While Sarah Palin cannot be compared to Jesus on one level, reactions to the good in Sarah Palin and other children of the light are paralleled in the reactions to Jesus, his teachings and actions.  The hypocrites and evil doers of Jesus’ time attacked him and demanded  his crucifixion.

The modern day hypocrites have put Sarah Palin under a microscope. They employ legions to fact check her statements and her new book and gave Barack Obama a free ride on his books and election campaign. As Jesus would state, they look for a speck in Palin’s eye and ignore the beam in theirs.
I wish to make an important point. It is ok to disgree with Sarah Palin. Since Palin embraces American values, she would be the first to agree. It is not ok to trash, lie about and attack Sarah Palin. This is wrong (remember, most of us believe in right and wrong.) When you attack Sarah Palin, you attack America and decent Americans and we are not going to take it anymore.

This is fair warning to those, and I do not care who you are, who viciously attack Sarah Palin. If you are a company like NewsWeek, that belittled Palin with the sexist magazine cover, we are going to boycott you. If you are a politician, we are going to run you out of office. If I personally hear someone attack Palin, I am going to quietly get in their face and ask why they hate America. I suggest you do the same.

Generally, I do believe we should pray for those who have lost their way. However, there is a concept called righteous indignation. A response, sadly lacking in many of those who profess to be Christians. And how ironic. Jesus, who was all about love for thy neighbor, entered the temple, saw the moneychanger’s wrongful acts, and overturned the tables in righteous indignation.

The lesson is simple. We must rise up in righteous indignation and say no more to attacks on Sarah Palin and others.

And be certain you are clear about this.

This is a struggle between good and evil.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”… Ephesians 6:12.

Doug Hoffman, Acorn voter fraud, Democrats and unions tampered with votes, New York 23rd Congressional District, Nancy Pelosi, Votes not certified

It does not take a rocket scientist to question the validity of the vote counts and procedural handling of the New York 23rd Congressional District race between Doug Hoffman and Bill Owens. Nancy Pelosi conveniently certified Owens as the winner and then Owens voted for the House version of the Health Care Bill.

Now Hoffman is accusing ACORN, the Democrats and unions of tampering with the vote counts.

“Hoffman: ACORN, unions, Dems tampered with NY-23 election”

“With his prospect of winning the 23rd Congressional District race now almost zero, Conservative Party candidate Douglas L. Hoffman suggested Wednesday in a letter that “ACORN, the unions and the Democratic Party” “tampered” with results to deny him victory.

Mr. Hoffman provided no evidence to support his claims, but asked fellow conservatives to send donations his way to “ensure every vote is counted.”

Jerry O. Eaton, Jefferson County Republican elections commissioner, called Mr. Hoffman’s assertion “absolutely false.”

“No one has touched those ballots or has access to those ballots except board of elections staff – and in a bipartisan manner,” he said.

Mr. Hoffman trails Rep. William L. Owens, D-Plattsburgh, by 2,832 votes after 42.6 percent of absentee ballots districtwide were reported Wednesday. Officials are expected to count the 4,262 ballots remaining by Monday.

Mr. Hoffman told conservatives he was “forced to concede” on election night after learning he trailed by 5,335 votes and that he “barely won” his “stronghold in Oswego County.”

Oswego County did not have full results on election night because of what William W. Scriber, a Democratic elections commissioner there, called a “perfect storm” of problems. He said the elections board had assigned staffers to take results for specific districts, but the phone system redirected poll workers’ calls to the wrong people.

Mr. Scriber said the board decided to close its public reporting system early – with nine districts still unreported – as a safeguard.”

“Mr. Hoffman lead Oswego County by 500 votes when elections officials stopped taking results. When elections officials recanvassed the machine vote, the candidate’s lead was upgraded to 1,748.

Mr. Hoffman said the “phone system foul-up” and “inspectors who read numbers incorrectly when phoning in results” “sounds like a tactic right from the ACORN playbook.””

Health Care Bill DOA in Senate, November 9, 2009, Joseph Lieberman, Lindsey Graham, Harry Reid, Obama socialist bill, Moderate Democrats oppose, Government health insurance unacceptable

From Fox News, November 9, 2009.

“House Health Bill Has Nowhere to Go in Senate

Government health insurance plan included in the House bill is unacceptable to some Democratic moderates who hold the balance of power in the Senate . If a government health plan is part of the deal “as a matter of conscience, I will not allow this bill to come to a final vote,” Sen. Joseph Lieberman, I-Conn, said.”

“The glow from a health care triumph faded quickly for President Barack Obama on Sunday as Democrats realized the bill they fought so hard to pass in the House has nowhere to go in the Senate.

Speaking from the Rose Garden about 14 hours after the late Saturday vote, Obama urged senators to be like runners on a relay team and “take the baton and bring this effort to the finish line on behalf of the American people.”

The problem is that the Senate won’t run with it. The government health insurance plan included in the House bill is unacceptable to a few Democratic moderates who hold the balance of power in the Senate.

If a government plan is part of the deal, “as a matter of conscience, I will not allow this bill to come to a final vote,” said Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Connecticut independent whose vote Democrats need to overcome GOP filibusters.

“The House bill is dead on arrival in the Senate,” Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said dismissively.

Democrats did not line up to challenge him. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has yet to schedule floor debate and hinted last week that senators may not be able to finish health care this year.

Nonetheless, the House vote provided an important lesson in how to succeed with less-than-perfect party unity, and one that Senate Democrats may be able to adapt. House Democrats overcame their own divisions and broke an impasse that threatened the bill after liberals grudgingly accepted tougher restrictions on abortion funding, as abortion opponents demanded.

In Senate, the stumbling block is the idea of the government competing with private insurers. Liberals may have to swallow hard and accept a deal without a public plan in order to keep the legislation alive. As in the House, the compromise appears to be to the right of the political spectrum.

Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine, who voted for a version of the Senate bill in committee, has given the Democrats a possible way out. She’s proposing to allow a government plan as a last resort, if after a few years premiums keep escalating and local health insurance markets remain in the grip of a few big companies. This is the “trigger” option.

That approach appeals to moderates such as Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La. “If the private market fails to reform, there would be a fallback position,” Landrieu said last week. “It should be triggered by choice and affordability, not by political whim.”

Lieberman said he opposes the public plan because it could become a huge and costly entitlement program. “I believe the debt can break America and send us into a recession that’s worse than the one we’re fighting our way out of today,” he said.

For now, Reid is trying to find the votes for a different approach: a government plan that states could opt out of.

The Senate is not likely to jump ahead this week on health care. Reid will keep meeting with senators to see if he can work out a political formula that will give him not only the 60 votes needed to begin debate, but the 60 needed to shut off discussion and bring the bill to a final vote.”
