“Lovely Winners: US Hurdlers Break World Record, Win Gold and Silver at Olympics then Both Praise God and the USA
On Wednesday American hurdlers Sydney McLaughlin and Dalilah Muhammad both broke the previous world record in the 400-meter hurdles by nearly half a second. This is unheard of in track and field.
The race was billed as one to watch and the lovely American women did not disappoint. The fact that they are both extremely attractive and gracious made it even more memorable.
31-year-old Dalilah Muhammad is the former Olympic champion and world record holder. Sydney McLaughlin, who is only 21, held the world record she set recently at the US Olympic trials.
Dalilah, who battled COVID earlier this year, took off and led the race until the very end when Sydney McLaughlin outsprinted her in the final 20 meters. They both broke the previous world record by nearly half-a-second!
The two lovely athletes then spoke to NBC where they praised God and their country. Unfortunately, NBC is hiding this video.
Easter 2021: Message and example of Jesus more powerful and meaningful than ever, Persecution continues, Christians must openly defy evil and lies
“12 Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. 13 “It is written,” he said to them, “ ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.”…Matthew 21
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”…Edmund Burke
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”…Jesus, John 8:32
There is nothing new under the sun.
In the days of Jesus and for hundreds of years following his death, Christians were persecuted and killed and forbidden from practicing their faith.
In the pre WWII years in Nazi Germany, Christians and Jews were persecuted and killed.
Evil reigned.
Today, under the guise of public safety, Christians and Jews have been prohibited from gathering to worship.
Millions of people are silenced for speaking out.
It is the duty of Christians to speak out and defy evil and lies.
Don’t be confused about the “Prince of Peace” narrative.
Jesus was the antithesis of passive.
He spoke the truth and defied evil.

“Stand Up to Tyranny: How to Respond to the Evils of Our Age”
“In every age, we find ourselves wrestling with the question of how Jesus Christ—the itinerant preacher and revolutionary activist who died challenging the police state of his time, namely, the Roman Empire—would respond to the moral questions of our day.
For instance, would Jesus advocate, as so many evangelical Christian leaders have done in recent years, for congregants to “submit to your leaders and those in authority,” which in the American police state translates to complying, conforming, submitting, obeying orders, deferring to authority and generally doing whatever a government official tells you to do?
What would Jesus do?
Study the life and teachings of Jesus, and you may be surprised at how relevant he is to our modern age.
A radical nonconformist who challenged authority at every turn, Jesus spent his adult life speaking truth to power, challenging the status quo of his day, pushing back against the abuses of the Roman Empire, and providing a blueprint for standing up to tyranny that would be followed by those, religious and otherwise, who came after him.
Those living through this present age of government lockdowns, immunity passports, militarized police, SWAT team raids, police shootings of unarmed citizens, roadside strip searches, invasive surveillance and the like might feel as if these events are unprecedented. However, the characteristics of a police state and its reasons for being are no different today than they were in Jesus’ lifetime: control, power and money.
Much like the American Empire today, the Roman Empire of Jesus’ day was characterized by secrecy, surveillance, a widespread police presence, a citizenry treated like suspects with little recourse against the police state, perpetual wars, a military empire, martial law, and political retribution against those who dared to challenge the power of the state.”
“Jesus—the revolutionary, the political dissident, and the nonviolent activist—lived and died in a police state. Any reflection on Jesus’ life and death within a police state must take into account several factors: Jesus spoke out strongly against such things as empires, controlling people, state violence and power politics. Jesus challenged the political and religious belief systems of his day. And worldly powers feared Jesus, not because he challenged them for control of thrones or government but because he undercut their claims of supremacy, and he dared to speak truth to power in a time when doing so could—and often did—cost a person his life.
Unfortunately, the radical Jesus, the political dissident who took aim at injustice and oppression, has been largely forgotten today, replaced by a congenial, smiling Jesus trotted out for religious holidays but otherwise rendered mute when it comes to matters of war, power and politics.
Yet for those who truly study the life and teachings of Jesus, the resounding theme is one of outright resistance to war, materialism and empire.”
Thrivent changing to treat all people better? “we will change from within” or just trying to placate blacks, Admitting their “core Christian beliefs” a ruse?
“You don’t need to be Christian to join our team.”…Thrivent job opening ad
“I worked at Thrivent Financial full-time (More than 8 years)” “Claims to be based on Christian values but does not adhere to them.”…Former Thrivent employee
“pre-dispute mandatory arbitration provisions are inappropriate in insurance policies and incompatible with the legal duties insurers owe policyholders when handling their claims.”…NAIC, National Association of Insurance Commissioners, August 15, 2016
Is Thrivent changing their evil ways?
A good start would be to remove so many attorneys from key positions, quit using high powered law firms who brag about defeating claim filers, actually act out “core Christian beliefs” and reverse their retroactively changed contract to remove mandated and allow optional mediation and arbitration in the dispute resolution process.
From Each Story Told.
“As I read the following news release from Teresa Rasmussen, President and CEO of Thrivent Financial, I was reminded of Starbucks shutting down years ago to retrain their employees on making coffee.
I thought then how foolish it looked to be training employees on how to make coffee. If I was foolish enough to have not already been training my employees on how to make coffee, I am not sure I would admit it.
The same goes for Thrivent, formerly Aid Association for Lutherans.
Thrivent for decades has touted their Christian beliefs and concerns for members.
Are they finally admitting it was all a ruse, a clever wolf in sheep’s clothing scenario?
Are they willing to apologize to me and countless others for the fraud they have perpetuated and the shameless way they treated us?
For their corrupt mandated arbitration enacted retroactively?
Really care about economic insecurity?
Or are they just trying to placate blacks?
From Thrivent and Teresa Rasmussen July 10, 2020.
“Letter From Our CEO: Doing What’s Right As We Travel The Long Road To Change”
“Together we will take immediate action – and invest in long-term change – to help address racism, discrimination and economic insecurity.
At Thrivent we believe humanity thrives when people make the most of all God has given them. Yet the ability to thrive is fundamentally hindered for those who disproportionately face systemic inequities, racism and discrimination due to the color of their skin.
As we continue to grapple with the tragic killing of George Floyd and the resulting anger, frustration and sorrow in our communities, we know that what happened not only to Mr. Floyd, but many before him, calls for real change.
The issue is so deeply rooted that there is not one answer, one remedy or one solution. Bringing meaningful change to these problems will, at the very least, take deep soul-searching and personal growth from people and institutions. It will require investing in, and supporting, one another for Thrivent to be inclusive and diverse with abundant and equitable opportunities for all.
As an organization, we will change from within. We will seek, identify and hire diverse talent that clearly reflects the communities in which we operate and serve. We understand that Black, Indigenous, and people of color receive disproportionately less mentorship, growth opportunities and advancement in the American workplace. We will ensure this is not the case at Thrivent, and we will hold our leaders accountable to this mission.”
“Executive sues Thrivent, saying he was fired because he is black”
“A black executive claims he was fired as president of a Thrivent Financial subsidiary because he accused a co-worker of racial discrimination, according to a lawsuit he filed against the financial services firm.
Gregory M. Smith, who said he was recruited by Thrivent in 2016 to help grow its network of independent insurance brokers, said he was stunned to encounter discrimination at a Fortune 500 company whose mission is “helping Christians be wise with money and live generously.”
“I was shocked,” said Smith, 56, who has worked at some of the largest insurance companies in the U.S. “I have never been treated so badly in my life.”
In a written statement, Thrivent denied the allegations and predicted the company will win the court battle over the lawsuit filed this month in Hennepin County.”
“Within months, Smith had laid off about half of his 15-member staff, most of whom quickly found jobs with other Thrivent companies, according to Smith’s attorney, Clayton Halunen. In an interview, Smith said some of the workers lacked the skills he needed, while others were terminated because he was concerned about their “exorbitant” spending on business trips. He said all of the terminated workers were white.
“I was the only person of color when I came in,” Smith said in the interview. His lawsuit claims that the presidents of seven other Thrivent subsidiaries are all white.”
“To celebrate, Smith said in the interview, he took his team out for dinner at the Capital Grille in downtown Minneapolis after work one night in December 2016. About 6 p.m., while waiting for some of his workers to show up, Smith said he strolled into the bar area and overheard Huth talking about him with another member of the team.
In the lawsuit, Smith said Huth allegedly said to the other worker: “We are going to get rid of that black piece of shit,” referring to him. In the lawsuit, Smith said Huth noticed him standing there and looked at him “sheepishly … apparently scared that he had overheard” the remark.””
A Christmas message, Christ is born praise be to God, Jesus leads us to the father and guides our actions, Christianity changed the Roman Empire the Vikings and caused a spontaneous truce on 1914 battlefield, God intervened in 2016 election
Luke 2
“2:6 And so it was, that, while they were there,
the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son,
and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger;
because there was no room for them in the inn.
2:8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field,
keeping watch over their flock by night.
2:9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them,
and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
2:10 And the angel said unto them,
Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
2:12 And this shall be a sign unto you;
Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
Merry, blessed Christmas.
I have about a million things that I want to say simultaneously.
But the message is simple.
Christ was born to lead us to the father and salvation.
The prince of peace who abhorred evil.
Who overturned the money changers’ table in the temple.
Whose message and followers changed the Roman Empire, the warrior Vikings and caused a spontaneous truce on the WWI battlefield in 1914 with the singing of “Silent Night.”
The problem with our world is not guns or money .
The problem is not obeying and respecting the creator of the universe, God and his messenger, Jesus Christ.
God does work in mysterious ways.
I told several of my friends after the election that the hand of God was involved.
I was pleased to find the following.
From the Greensboro News Record December 20, 2016.
“Franklin Graham: It wasn’t Russians who intervened in election, ‘it was God’
Evangelist Franklin Graham doesn’t believe it was the Russians who intervened in this year’s controversial presidential election.
It was God, he declared during President-elect Donald Trump’s final public rally before the Electoral College vote Monday.
“I don’t have any scientific information. I don’t have a stack of emails to read to you,” Graham told the crowd in Mobile, Ala., according to the Washington Examiner. “But I have an opinion: I believe it was God. God showed up. He answered the prayers of hundreds of thousands of people across this land who had been praying for this country.”
His comments also included a prayer that God heal “the divide that we have in this country.”
I encourage everyone—whether you voted for President-elect @realDonaldTrump or not—to come together & pray for him. https://t.co/qbbZuH6k1S
— Franklin Graham (@Franklin_Graham) December 18, 2016
Graham, the son of evangelist Billy Graham, hosted well-attended prayer rallies across the nation before the election, urging Christians to vote. He’d like to believe those rallies succeeded.
When Trump took the stage Saturday, he praised the younger Graham and said he’s heard that Billy Graham, at age 98, “is doing well.””
Hillary quotes reveal sociopathic personality, Hillary Clinton is evil and if you support her you cannot be a Christian Jew believer or a good person, Quotes are a window into her tortured soul, More to come on why Hillary is a sociopath
“Billy and Hillary Clinton continue to be lying, cheating, manipulative, scratching, clawing, ruthlessly aggressive, insatiably ambitious politicians who are giving public service a bad name – and nothing about them has changed in the past forty-plus years, except that they have deluded more and more people,”…Dolly Kyle Browning
“The Clintons’ “systematically abuse women and others – sexually, physically, and psychologically – in their scramble for power and wealth,” says the book’s press release.”…”The Clintons’ War on Women”
“The devil’s in that woman.”…Miss Emma, Clinton’s cook, governor’s mansion
Most things are simple, even though we try to complicate them.
The message of Jesus Christ was simple in contradiction to the Pharisees who tried to complicate things.
I rejected evil as a child.
I still do.
That is the reason that I reject Hillary Clinton.
It is not because she is a Democrat.
If you claim to be a Christian, Jew or believer and you support Hillary Clinton, you had better quickly wake up, repent, pay attention, ask questions and inform others.
Hillary Clinton is a sociopath and is of evil.
It is that simple.
Here are some quotes that provide a window into her tortured soul.
““When are they going to get those f—ing ree-tards out of here?!”
Hillary reportedly grew frustrated that handicapped children weren’t collecting their Easter eggs quickly enough on the lawn of the Arkansas governor’s mansion.
“Where is the goddamn fucking flag? I want the goddamn fucking flag up every fucking morning at fucking sunrise.”
—Hillary to Arkansas state troopers at the guardhouse as she was pulling out of the governor’s mansion on Labor Day, 1991 (The
First Partner, p. 192).
“Fuck off! It’s enough that I have to see you shit-kickers every day. I’m not going to talk to you, too. Just do your goddamn job and keep your mouth shut.”
—Hillary to her Arkansas state trooper bodyguards, after one of them told her “good morning” (American Evita, p. 90).
“If you want to remain on this detail, get your fucking ass over here and grab those bags.”
—Hillary to a Secret Service agent who is trained to keep his hands free at all times to protect his boss. According to countless
witnesses, this kind of demanding and demeaning behavior and attitude is very common for Hillary over the years.
“Get fucked! Get the fuck out of my way! Get out of my face!”
—A typical comment from Hillary to Secret Service agents throughout the 1990s (Hillary’s Scheme, p. 89).
“Stay the fuck back, stay the fuck away from me! Don’t come within ten yards of me, or else! … Just fucking do as I say, okay?”
—Hillary to her Secret Service detail (Unlimited Access, p. 139).
“Bimbos,” “sluts,” “trailer trash,” “rednecks,” and “shit-kickers.”
—Terms Hillary commonly used to describe Arkansans (American Evita, p. 139).
“Goddamn, L. D., did you see that family right out of Deliverance? Get me the hell out of here.”
—L. D. Brown, Bill’s favorite state trooper, while at a county fair in Arkansas in the early 1980s. They had just spoken to “salt of the
earth” country Arkansans who wore bib overalls and cotton dresses. Brown also said that Hillary would reduce grown men state
troopers such as Trooper Mark Allen to tears with her vicious attacks (Crossfire, p. 85).
“You goddamn stupid fucking fool.”
—Hillary to Bill while in the presence of Chelsea, then a toddler (Newsmax, July 15, 2000).
After Hillary had heard some bad news about Whitewater, Lieutenant Colonel Buzz Patterson describes the scene: “As soon as the elevator closed, she exploded at the president with a spew of four-letter words. Every vulgar word you’ve ever heard poured from her mouth: ‘Goddamnit,’ ‘you bastard,’ ‘it’s your fucking fault.’” Patterson said Bill just hung his head, took the abuse while the Secret
Service agents and a doctor looked on mortified. (Dereliction of Duty, p. 68).
“That’ll teach them to fuck with us.”
—Hillary said to aides right after her comments to Matt Lauer in January 1998 that a “vast right-wing conspiracy” was out to get the Clintons (The Case Against Hillary Clinton, p. 162).
“These women are all trash. Nobody’s going to believe them.”
—Hillary on Bill’s accusers (Bill & Hillary, p. 220).
“I want to get this shit over with and get these damn people out of here.”
—Hillary, over the Arkansas governor’s mansion intercom as preschoolers who had been invited to the governor’s mansion were
posing on the lawn for a photograph (The First Partner, p. 192).
“We have to destroy her.”
—Hillary on Gennifer Flowers (The Final Days, p. 13).
“You fucking Jew bastard.”
—Hillary to campaign manager Paul Fray on the night of Bill’s loss in his 1974 congressional race (The State of a Union, p. 153).
“[You] Jew bastard! … [You] Jew motherfucker!”
—Hillary and Bill would often call each other these slurs, according to former Arkansas state trooper Larry Patterson (The State of
a Union, p. 155).
Here are just a few from Bill.
“What’s all the fuss about? It was just a goddamn motherfucking pig.”
—Bill Clinton seeing people at the funeral of a black Arkansas state trooper, according to Larry Patterson on an audiotape
interview called More Than Sex, which was produced by Newsmax.
“I can do any goddamned thing I want. I’m the president of the United States. I take care of my friends and I fuck with my enemies.
That is the way it is.”
—Bill to his staff who challenged him after he said he wanted every member of the Independent Counsel’s office audited by the IRS.
There are many many many more quotes.
This is just the tip of the iceberg.
I have not included her deeds nor yet provided why she qualifies as a sociopath.
The quotes are enough to make you wonder.
The proof is forthcoming.
Many of the quotes came from the book “The Clintons War on Women.”
I have read part of the book and intend to read the rest.
Easter Sunday April 5, 2015, Resurrection of Jesus, Christian beliefs v science, Shroud of turin cannot be replicated today, Foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”…Jesus, John 8:32
Don’t believe in the miracle and impact of the life, death and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth?
Consider this.
Look at the world before his birth and then reflect on his impact:
Transformed the Roman Empire.
Caused a message of love and peace to be spread throughout the world.
Inspired some of the greatest art produced.
Was the catalyst for the invention of the printing press and subsequent spread of knowledge.
Transformed the Vikings from barbarians to believers and church builders.
Inspired Johann Sebastian Bach.
Inspired Martin Luther.
Inspired and motivated the early settlers of the US.
Inspired and motivated the founding fathers of the US.
Was the catalyst for removal of slavery in the western world.
Inspired and motivated the US and western nations to repel the fascism and tyranny in WWII.
Inspired and motivated the US and western nations to overcome Soviet communism.
Science v Religion.
“Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”…First Corinthians 1:25
From Citizen News April 4, 2015.
“Can Christians Believe in Science and the Resurrection?”
“Was the resurrection of Jesus Christ an anti-scientific event? This question was discussed at a March 13 conference on science and religion hosted by The American Association for the Advancement of Science’s Dialogue on Science, Ethics and Religion.
At the end of a panel on “Science Engagement in Congregations,” an audience member who identified himself as a rabbi said “the elephant in the room has not been discussed,” which he identified as, “that the fundamental basis of Christianity is a violation of nature.””
We know vastly more today about physics and the universe than we did 100 years ago. But the more we learn the more mysterious and mind boggling it becomes.
From Citizen News April 3, 3015.
“We live in an Orwellian age of misinformation, secularism and attacks on Christianity.
That is why the truth is so important about the essence of Christianity.
Not necessarily what people say about Jesus and Christianity. But what Jesus said, did and endured.
First from “The Case for Christ” by Lee Strobel.
What struck me the most from the book, when I was first introduced to it years ago, was the fact that there is much historical evidence of the life of Jesus.
From the publisher.
“A Seasoned Journalist Chases Down the Biggest Story in History Is there credible evidence that Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son of God? Retracing his own spiritual journey from atheism to faith, Lee Strobel, former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune, cross-examines a dozen experts with doctorates from schools like Cambridge, Princeton, and Brandeis who are recognized authorities in their own fields. Strobel challenges them with questions like How reliable is the New Testament? Does evidence for Jesus exist outside the Bible? Is there any reason to believe the resurrection was an actual event? Strobel’s tough, point-blank questions make this Gold Medallion-winning book read like a captivating, fast-paced novel. But it’s not fiction. It’s a riveting quest for the truth about history’s most compelling figure. What will your verdict be in The Case for Christ? ‘Lee Strobel probes with bulldog-like tenacity the evidence for the truth of biblical Christianity.’ Bruce M. Metzger, Ph.D., Professor of New Testament, Emeritus, Princeton Theological Seminary ‘Lee Strobel asks the questions a tough-minded skeptic would ask. His book is so good I read it out loud to my wife evenings after dinner. Every inquirer should have it.’ Phillip E. Johnson, Law Professor, University of California at Berkeley”
“The documentary The Case for Christ follows reporter Lee Strobel as he interviews a number of religious and historical scholars in order to find out if there is any proof of the resurrection, and to discover the historical veracity of the New Testament. In trying the case for Christ, Strobel cross-examined a number of experts and recognized authorities in their own fields of study. He conducted his examination with no religious bias, other than his predisposition to atheism.
Remarkably, after compiling and critically examining the evidence for himself, Strobel became a Christian. Stunned by his findings, he organized the evidence into a book he entitled, The Case for Christ, which has won the Gold Medallion Book Award for excellence. Strobel asks one thing of each reader – remain unbiased in your examination of the evidence.”
Mark Antonacci, an attorney and agnostic and another author, became a believer after researching the Shroud of Turin.
From the Amarillo Globe News April 14, 2001.
“Mark Antonacci said he was a committed agnostic until he stumbled upon an article about a subject he would eventually spend nearly 20 years researching.
Antonacci, a St. Louis lawyer, is author of “The Resurrection of the Shroud.” He spoke in a telephone interview about his book about the cloth that he and others believe wrapped the body of Jesus Christ.
His book delves into questions about the wounds suffered by the man whose impression is on the shroud, the shroud’s history and scientific challenges to the carbon dating of the shroud.
Now a Christian, Antonacci said much historical, medical and archaeological evidence exists to prove Christ’s death was consistent with Gospel accounts. The evidence he said he found changed his mind about God.
“I came to the conclusion that the literal, actual crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ occurred,” he said.
So why did it take nearly two decades to publish his book?
“I just had no idea the breadth of the evidence and the difficulty in finding a publisher,” said Antonacci, whose publisher is M. Evans and Company Inc. in New York.
Antonacci said scientists from many religious and nonreligious backgrounds have examined the shroud, and none think it is a forgery, although they have varying opinions about it. The shroud has been kept in Turin, Italy, for the last four centuries.”
Christmas 2012, December 25, Jesus Christ message, Tolkien CS Lewis, Where there is darkness light, Jesus Christ transformed the Earth
“Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”…First Corinthians 1:25
In pondering what to write for Christmas Day my thoughts were dispersed, distracted and delayed. But that often happens.
I believe that in many ways we have become distracted and have missed the point.
In recent discussions with a wise lady, who happens to be Roman Catholic, we both shared observations about the human side of Barack Obama, what has formed his thought processes and the fact that he is a prisoner to his influences.
This does not apply only to Obama but to many on the left, to many people who believe that the problem with gun attacks is guns. Many of these people have no grounding in religion, a moral compass and right from wrong. They are driven by knee jerk feelings and political ideologies.
I have become less of a fan of organized religion and more a proponent of what Christ actually said and did. I am not against organized religion but I believe that we have lost our way with it and have let too many layers of interpretation and discussion and intermediaries come between us and the essence of Christ’s simple message.
The impact we have on others combined with the “smallness” of the world is powerful. Each life touches the lives of others and can ultimately be world changing. A good Christmas example of this is the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life”, one of my favorites. Another example of how small the world is, “6 degrees of separation” and one person changing the lives of others is this. One of my friends knew Tolkien and CS Lewis. Small world. But the bigger story is the impact of the life of Tolkien on CS Lewis and the world.
From The Blaze December 12, 2012.
“In “The Christian World of the Hobbit,” a new literary analysis of the popular writer, author Devin Brownexamines the intense religious nature of Tolkien’s written works. In a recent interview with CBN.com, Brown provided some fascinating tidbits of information. Among them, a fact that many Tolkien fans might not be aware of: “The Hobbit” author was responsible for bringing C.S. Lewis to the Christian faith.
Here’s what Brown had to say about Tolkien’s religious views and his assistance in helping Lewis find Christ:
[Tolkien] was Roman Catholic. His mom converted; she had been an Anglican. His dad died. So, he went with her in the Catholic faith and was very devout, very pious. That said, when he helped bring Lewis to Christianity—he didn’t bring him to Catholicism, he brought him to Christianity. Certainly, his commitment to Christ was first and his denomination second. But, yeah, he was very pious, went to church not just every Sunday, but often every day. He was one of those kind of people, that I don’t know that very many of them exist anymore.”
What the nonbelievers fail to realize and we fail to present is not only the message of love, peace and tranquility of Jesus Christ but the impact on the Earth that he had.
Here are some simple, self evident, truths for all to ponder.
Jesus was born in the Middle East of medium skin color, right in the middle, not black, not white.
Christianity transformed the Roman Empire.
Christianity tamed the vikings.
Christianity was a dominant force in stopping Nazi Germany.
There is clearly good and evil in this world.

“Evangelist Billy Graham, 93, issued the following statement after meeting today in his North Carolina home with presidential candidate, Gov. Mitt Romney:
“It was an honor to meet and host Gov. Romney in my home today, especially since I knew his late father former Michigan Gov. George Romney, whom I considered a friend. I have followed Mitt Romney’s career in business, the Olympic Games, as governor of Massachusetts and, of course, as a candidate for president of the United States.
“What impresses me even more than Gov. Romney’s successful career are his values and strong moral convictions. I appreciate his faithful commitment to his impressive family, particularly his wife Ann of 43 years and his five married sons.
“It was a privilege to pray with Gov. Romney—for his family and our country. I will turn 94 the day after the upcoming election, and I believe America is at a crossroads. I hope millions of Americans will join me in praying for our nation and to vote for candidates who will support the biblical definition of marriage, protect the sanctity of life and defend our religious freedoms.””

and by then there was no one left to speak out for me.”…Pastor Martin Niemoller
From Saint Pius X Church in NC.
“Saint Pius X to Host Lecture on Religious Liberty & the HHS Mandate
Dr. Grattan Brown, STD, a professor at Belmont Abbey College, will deliver a lecture,
“Natural Law Foundations of Religious Liberty & the HHS Mandate,”
in the church on Saturday, October 6, at 7 p.m. Dr. Brown is a former researcher in religion and public policy at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, DC and former professor at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia.
A reception will precede the event at 6 p.m.
This is an important topic not just to Catholics, but to all Americans who cherish religious liberty. Much is heard about the issue in the news, but Dr. Brown will be able to help us understand the issue from the viewpoint of Catholic tradition and Church teaching.
This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.”
“Belmont Abbey College has filed a broad legal challenge to the part of President Barack Obama’s health care reforms that requires employer insurance plans to cover contraception and other birth control.
The Catholic college in Gaston County says the federal mandate forces religious institutions opposed to birth control to violate their beliefs or face penalties. The rule goes into effect next August.
The school has sued a number of federal agencies. The defendants include Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.
Keith Maley, an HHS spokesman, said the agency doesn’t comment on pending litigation.
The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., by the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, a nonprofit, public-interest law firm.”
On March 21, 2010, the United States House of Representatives voted on, and narrowly passed, a new national healthcare reform bill. Two days later, President Barack Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into federal law. On January 20, 2012, over repeated objections by the United States Catholic Bishops and other religious leaders, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services reaffirmed a rule mandating that virtually all private healthcare plans must cover sterilization, abortifacients and contraception by plan years beginning on or after August 1, 2012.
This action has been called by many religious leaders an egregious violation of the first amendment which states that: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . .”
On Saturday, February 11, 2012, over one hundred attendees gathered for a forum on religious liberties hosted on the campus of Belmont Abbey College. The event was moderated by Dr. William Thierfelder, president of Belmont Abbey College. Three nationally-recognized speakers took the podium.
Dr. Grattan Brown, Associate Professor of Theology at Belmont Abbey College, opened the forum with his presentation on Natural Law as the foundation for religious liberty, addressing various contraceptive methods mandated under the new administrative guidelines, and their potential to function as abortifacients in violation of Natural Law.
Mr. Kyle Duncan, Senior Legal Counsel for the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, a public interest law firm located in Washington, DC, spoke on the accelerating legal challenges to religious liberty in the United States.
Mrs. Nancy Matthews, recently retired Chancellor and General Counsel for the Diocese of Bridgeport, CT, closed the forum with a presentation on the goals and objectives of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ ad hoc committee on religious liberty. Mrs. Matthews is currently a consultant to this committee.
It is our hope that this forum will help you to better understand these issues facing the Catholic Church and nearly all employers in America today and encourage you to take action to ensure the continued protection of religious freedom.”
NC Obama Democrat party God country and common sense, Charlotte sells soul to devil?, Democrats destroy jobs and economy boo God and Jerusalem
“Guilford (Large NC County) appears on it’s way to a third consecutive year with annual jobless rates in double digits. Economists say that likely hasn’t happened since the Great Depression.”…Greensboro News Record December 2, 2011
“Most college students are in the peak of health. Hence, covering their health care is usually a pretty easy thing to do. A number of colleges—particularly small, private liberal-arts institutions—offer their students what are called “limited-benefit” plans, which cover health expenses up to a defined cap, such as $10,000. Because expenses are capped, these plans are extremely inexpensive, with premiums ranging from $150-500 per year.
However, Obamacare prohibits capping insurance payouts, causing premiums to skyrocket. For 2013-2014, the law prohibits caps below $500,000 per year; after 2014, caps are banned entirely.”…Forbes June 5, 2012
“We tried our plan—and it worked. That’s the difference. That’s the choice in this election. That’s why I’m running for a second term.”…Barack Obama
My ancestral roots go back to the early 1700’s in NC and though my recent ones do not include participation in the NC Democrat Party, the old conservative Democrat Party of NC, which did not shun God, country and common sense, would have been easier to embrace.
This is not your father’s Democrat Party!
For example.
You have heard Barack and Michelle Obama and other democrats lie about job creation, inheriting a mess and blame George Bush.
The Democrats took control of both houses of congress in January 2007 and Obama took control of the White House in January 2009. A perfect storm of incompetence.
From the 2012 Democrat Platform.
“When President Obama took office, the economy was in the deepest economic crisis since the Great Depression. His Recovery Act represented the largest education investment since President Johnson, the largest infrastructure investment since President Eisenhower, the single largest clean energy investment ever, and the broadest tax cut in American history. It helped keep teachers, police officers, nurses, and firefighters on the job. It ensured that as we re-built our country, we bought American-made iron, steel, and manufactured goods wherever feasible, consistent with our international obligations. It helped the President stop the bleeding and reverse the free fall.”
“We’ve come a long way since 2008. The President took office in the middle of the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression; that month 800,000 Americans lost their jobs – more than in any single month in the previous 60 years. On Day One, he took immediate action to stop the free fall and put Americans back to work. In the midst of the crisis, President Obama knew what Democrats have always known: that American workers are tougher than tough times. Since early 2010, the private sector has created 4.5 million jobs, and American manufacturing is growing for the first time since the 1990s.”
Let’s examine for a moment a microcosm economy, Greensboro, NC, the third largest city in NC, the home of UNCG, where Michelle Obama recently bragged about jobs and what they had done for college students.
In January 2007, when the Democrats took control of congress, the unemployment rate was 4.6 to 5.2 percent (looks like somebody has been “tweaking” the numbers).
In December 2008, after 2 years of Democrat control, the rate was 8.2 percent. In January 2009, when Obama entered the White House, the rate was 9.6 percent. Did the rate jump actually jump 1.4 percent in one month (to maybe help Obama)? Since the Democrats were in control anyway, who cares.
The rate for July is listed at 10.2 percent.
So, with the efforts of the Democrats beginning in January 2007 and Obama working with them beginning in January 2009, the unemployment rate went from 4.8 – 5.2 percent to 10.2 percent.
That is certainly change!
From the 2012 Democrat Platform.
“These values are why we enacted historic health care reform that provides economic security for families and enacted sweeping financial reform legislation that will prevent the recklessness that cost so many their jobs, homes, and savings.”
“They’re why we helped American families who are working multiple jobs and struggling to pay the bills save a little extra money through tax cuts, lower health care costs, and affordable student loans.”
“We’ve already made historic progress. States have more flexibility to raise standards and reform schools, more students are receiving grants and scholarships, and young adults can stay on their parents’ health insurance plans as they finish their education and enter the workforce.”
From Citizen Wells September 4, 2012.
“I just spoke with a young man a few minutes ago who attends Greensboro College, a private college in NC. He mentioned that his health care costs had just almost doubled. Recently, reported here, was a report that the UNC system, NC public colleges, had almost doubled the health care costs for students and the reason was provisions in Obamacare.”
“Health Insurance Costs Skyrocket For College Students Due To ObamaCare”
“Can we stop calling ObamaCare the Affordable Care Act now?
A Young America’s Foundation activist forwarded an email from the Vice President for Finance at his school, Guilford College (Greensboro, NC), informing him that, “For the 2012-13 academic year, the annual cost of the student health insurance is increasing from $668 to $1,179. This insurance premium has been charged to your student account.”
Why the increase? “Our student health insurance policy premium has been substantially increased due to changes required by federal regulations issued on March 16, 2012 under the Affordable Care Act.”
“Student healthcare choice has been replaced with expensive ObamaCare mandates.”
“Registration cancellations rising at UNCG, A&T”
“UNCG about two weeks ago canceled the registrations of about 1,300 students because they had yet to pay their tuition bills — the highest number of cancellations since fall 2009, university officials said.””
“Amid chants of protest from about 100 students, the UNC Board of Governors this morning approved President Tom Ross’ proposal for tuition and
fee hikes over the next two years.”
“The cost of health insurance will climb from a range of $61 to $77 monthly to a range of $118 to $133 monthly, according to a memo sent from UNC President Tom Ross to the UNC Board of Governors. On an annual basis, most students will pay about $500 to $700 more in 2012-13, depending on the campus.”
“Obamacare Increases Costs of College Health Plans by as Much as 1,112%”
“Last March, I wrote a detailed pieceon why Obamacare will dramatically increase the cost of insurance for young people. Yesterday, Louise Radnofsky of theWall Street Journal reported that some colleges are dropping their student health plans for the new academic year, because the new law increases the cost of those plans by as much as 1,112 percent. And no, that’s not a typo.
Most college students are in the peak of health.
For 2013-2014, the law prohibits caps below $500,000 per year; after 2014, caps are banned entirely.”
“Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, N.C. paid $245 per student per year for 2011-2012. Next year, they’ll have to pay $2,507 to meet the law’s requirements.”
The folks in Charlotte have been celebrating the success of the convention.
There are a lot of good people there. I hope that they have retained enough religious convictions and common sense to not be blinded by the light. The false light. And not to sell their souls to the devil….again.
