President Trump “I didn’t need to do this” (to win the election), Washington Post, Politicians take out of context and lie, Post awarded nth degree Bozos

“I will never waver from my sacred duty to defend this Nation and its people. We will get the job done.”…President Trump

“We believe CNN declined a report from KUSI because we informed them that most Border Patrol Agents we have spoken to told us the barrier does in fact work,“…KUSI TV San Diego

“We are being lied to on a scale unimaginable by George Orwell.”…Citizen Wells

Once again the fake news media, politicians and other agenda driven entities have lied about something President Trump has said.

President Trump, since he began running for president and consistently afterwards has spoken about the emergency, the crisis regarding our nation’s security and securing our borders.

IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN SPOKEN OF AS AN EMERGENCY!

And it clearly is.

From the fake news Washington Post.

“The idea that the situation at the border is truly a “national emergency” already strained credulity. And at Friday’s news conference, President Trump might have just erased any doubt about his true motivation.

In the Rose Garden, Trump issued the national emergency declaration he has been threatening for more than a month. In the process, he basically admitted he doesn’t even really see the situation at the border as an emergency.

The key quote came when the Q&A portion started. Trump was challenged by NBC’s Peter Alexander on why he couldn’t bend Congress to his will — as he previously said a president should be able to do — rather than take unilateral action.

“I didn’t need to do this,” Trump said. “But I’d rather do it much faster.”

Trump then blamed 2020 politics for Democrats not supporting wall and repeated: “I just want to do it faster.”

If it’s truly an emergency, how can you say you didn’t need to declare an emergency? Trump basically admitted that this was a choice for him — a matter of expediency, quite literally — and not something required by events on the ground.”

From the real news, Citizen Wells News.

“Trump “I didn’t need to do this” spoken in context of election and building the wall, He didn’t need to do to get reelected, Faster for nation’s security

President Trump, during his question and answer session following his February 15, 2019 press conference on funding for the border wall, stated the following:

“In fact, the primary fight was on the wall.  Everything else, we have so much, as I said, I don’t know what to do with it we have so much money.  But on the wall, they skimped.

So I did — I was successful, in that sense, but I want to do it faster.  I could do the wall over a longer period of time.  I didn’t need to do this.  But I’d rather do it much faster.  And I don’t have to do it for the election.  I’ve already done a lot of wall, for the election — 2020.  And the only reason we’re up here talking about this is because of the election, because they want to try and win an election, which it looks like they’re not going to be able to do.  And this is one of the ways they think they can possibly win, is by obstruction and a lot of other nonsense.”

“I didn’t need to do this” was spoken in the context of the 2020 election.

He did not need to do it for his benefit.

President Trump said at the end of his speech:

“So the order is signed.  And I’ll sign the final papers as soon as I get into the Oval Office.  And we will have a national emergency, and then we will then be sued, and they will sue us in the Ninth Circuit, even though it shouldn’t be there.  And we will possibly get a bad ruling, and then we’ll get another bad ruling.  And then we’ll end up in the Supreme Court, and hopefully we’ll get a fair shake.  And we’ll win in the Supreme Court, just like the ban.  They sued us in the Ninth Circuit, and we lost, and then we lost in the appellate division, and then we went to the Supreme Court, and we won.”

“The probably easiest one to win is on declaring a national emergency, because we’re declaring it for virtual invasion purposes: drugs, traffickers, and gangs.  And one of the things, just to finish: We have removed thousands of MS-13 gang monsters.  Thousands.  They’re out of this country.  We take them out by the thousands.  And they are monsters.”

Justice Department corruption in Black Panther case, Washington Post, July 18, 2010, Andrew Alexander Post Ombudsman, National Editor Kevin Merida, Wished The Post had written about it sooner

Justice Department corruption in Black Panther case, Washington Post

From The Washington Post July 18, 2010.

“Why the silence from The Post on Black Panther Party story?”

“Thursday’s Post reported about a growing controversy over the Justice Department’s decision to scale down a voter-intimidation case against members of the New Black Panther Party. The story succinctly summarized the issues but left many readers with a question: What took you so long?

For months, readers have contacted the ombudsman wondering why The Post hasn’t been covering the case. The calls increased recently after competitors such as the New York Times and the Associated Press wrote stories. Fox News and right-wing bloggers have been pumping the story. Liberal bloggers have countered, accusing them of trying to manufacture a scandal.

But The Post has been virtually silent.

The story has its origins on Election Day in 2008, when two members of the New Black Panther Party stood in front of a Philadelphia polling place. YouTube video of the men, now viewed nearly 1.5 million times, shows both wearing paramilitary clothing. One carried a nightstick.”

“The controversy was elevated last month when J. Christian Adams, a former Justice Department lawyer who had helped develop the case, wrote in the Washington Times that his superiors’ decision to reduce its scope was “motivated by a lawless hostility toward equal enforcement of the law.” Some in the department believe “the law should not be used against black wrongdoers because of the long history of slavery and segregation,” he wrote. Adams recently repeated these charges in public testimony before the commission.

The Post didn’t cover it. Indeed, until Thursday’s story, The Post had written no news stories about the controversy this year. In 2009, there were passing references to it in only three stories.”

“National Editor Kevin Merida, who termed the controversy “significant,” said he wished The Post had written about it sooner. The delay was a result of limited staffing and a heavy volume of other news on the Justice Department beat, he said.”

Russell Dunham, World War II, Medal of Honor, Washington Post, April 8, 2009, Sgt. Dunham, 3rd Infantry Division, German fox holes, German machine guns, Greatest Generation passing

First of all, let me say that I have nothing but respect for the
Greatest Generation, the generation that survived the Great Depression
and saved the world from Nazi domination. Today in the obituaries, I
read of the passing of another American hero. The exploits of Russell
Dunham against German forces in World War II are another example of
the self sacrifice common among the Greatest Generation and harder to
find in the current masses of “me” individuals in our midst.

From the Washington Post, April 8, 2009.

“On Jan. 8, 1945, Tech. Sgt. Dunham’s company, part of the 3rd Infantry Division, was facing a formidable German force at the small town of Kayserberg, France, on the Franco-German border. The men were issued white mattress covers as camouflage in the deep snow.

Heavily armed, Sgt. Dunham scrambled 75 yards up a snow-covered hill toward three German machine gun emplacements. He took out the first bunker with a grenade.

Advancing toward the second, he glanced around to call up his squad and a bullet hit him in the back, tearing open a 10-inch gash. As he struggled to his feet, a grenade landed nearby; he kicked it away before it exploded.

He then crawled through the snow to the machine gun and lobbed his own grenade into the bunker, killing two Germans. His carbine empty, he leaped into the foxhole and hauled out a third enemy soldier by the collar.

In excruciating pain, his mattress-cover overcoat now stained a conspicuous red, Sgt. Dunham ran 50 yards to the third machine-gun emplacement and took it out with a grenade. As German infantrymen began scrambling out of their foxholes, Sgt. Dunham chased them down the back side of the hill. He and his elder brother Ralph, who was in the same unit, encountered a fourth machine gun; the older Dunham took it out.

A German rifleman who shot at Russell Dunham at point-blank range but missed became the ninth German he killed that winter morning.

His back wound had yet to fully heal when Sgt. Dunham returned to the front. On Jan. 22, his battalion was surrounded by German tanks at Holtzwihr, France, and most of the men were forced to surrender.

Sgt. Dunham hid in a sauerkraut barrel outside a barn but was discovered the next morning. As the two German soldiers who found him were patting him down, they came across a pack of cigarettes in his pocket and began fighting over it. They never finished their search, so they missed a pistol in a shoulder holster under his arm.

Later in the day, his two captors transported him toward German lines. The driver stopped at a bar, the second soldier’s attention wandered and Sgt. Dunham shot him in the head. He set off toward American lines in sub-zero temperatures.

By the time he encountered U.S. engineers working on a bridge over the Ill River, his feet and ears were frostbitten. A medic working to save his feet from amputation told him that the commanding officer had intended to recommend him for the Distinguished Service Cross but had changed his mind. The young man from Illinois, the officer had decided, deserved the Medal of Honor. ”

Secret Tapes Helped Build Graft Cases In Illinois, Washington Post, December 22, 2008, Pamela Meyer Davis, IL Health Planning Facilities Board, Stuart Levine, Blagojevich, Rezko, Barack Obama IL senate, Board rigged, 9 members, Obama corruption

The Washington Post has an article today, Monday, December 22,
2008, that reveals how tapes provided by Pamela Meyer Davis,
helped Patrick Fitzgerald and federal prosecutors begin their
shakedown of corruption in Chicago and IL that has led to the
arrest of Rod Blagojevich.

“Secret Tapes Helped Build Graft Cases In Illinois
Hospital CEO Reported Shakedown, Wore Wire”

Washington Post Staff Writers
Monday, December 22, 2008″

“CHICAGO — The wide-ranging public corruption probe that led to the arrest of Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich got its first big break when a grandmother of six walked into a breakfast meeting with shakedown artists wearing an FBI wire.
Pamela Meyer Davis had been trying to win approval from a state health planning board for an expansion of Edward Hospital, the facility she runs in a Chicago suburb, but she realized that the only way to prevail was to retain a politically connected construction company and a specific investment house. Instead of succumbing to those demands, she went to the FBI and U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald in late 2003 and agreed to secretly record conversations about the project.

Her tapes led investigators down a twisted path of corruption that over five years has ensnared a collection of behind-the-scenes figures in Illinois government, including Joseph Cari Jr., a former Democratic National Committee member, and disgraced businessman Antoin “Tony” Rezko.

On Dec. 9, that path wound up at the governor’s doorstep. Another set of wiretaps suggested that Blagojevich was seeking to capitalize on the chance to fill the Senate seat just vacated by President-elect Barack Obama.

Many of the developments in Operation Board Games never attracted national headlines. They involved expert tactics in which prosecutors used threats of prosecution or prison time to flip bit players in a tangle of elaborate schemes that Fitzgerald has called pay-to-play “on steroids.”

But now, Fitzgerald’s patient strategy has led to uncomfortable questions not only for Blagojevich but also for the powerful players who privately negotiated with him, unaware that their conversations were being monitored. Democratic  Rep. Jesse L. Jackson Jr. faces queries about his interest in the Senate seat, and key players in the Obama presidential transition team — White House Chief of Staff-designate  Rahm Emanuel and adviser Valerie Jarrett — are being asked about their contacts with the governor on the important appointment.”

“Meyer Davis’s hospital wasn’t the only one with problems winning approvals from the state board that reviewed new projects for health-care facilities. The Chicago Medical School wanted a student housing project and found itself steered to the same construction and investment firms. Mercy Hospital faced similar obstacles. The board held up requests for open-heart surgical units and community clinics, and it seemed that a high price tag was attached to moving the board toward action.

At the center of the scheme was board member Stuart Levine, a prominent GOP fundraiser and businessman. Levine also courted Blagojevich, flying him to fundraisers in Texas and New York at which the governor collected more than $120,000 in campaign contributions. Levine held seats on the health facilities board and the teachers pension board, which controlled more than $41 billion in assets.”

“Levine also had many connections. A telephone wiretap captured his discussions with Rezko, a fundraiser for Blagojevich and Obama, and several others who would become federal targets, according to lawyers who closely followed the trial testimony.”

“”Before they had Levine in the fold, they had his phone,” said former public corruption prosecutor Patrick Collins. “They happened to get up on Levine’s phone at a time when he was very active in his corrupt schemes.”

Fitzgerald’s office indicted Levine in 2005 on multiple fraud and extortion charges for his role in the state board schemes, securing along the way cooperation from the favored construction executive who had paid him kickbacks. But Levine’s path to cooperation took 18 more months. Faced with wiretap recordings, Levine realized his legal situation was nearly hopeless, struck a plea bargain and became the star witness against Rezko.

“Levine was the guy who’s given them everybody else,” said Jay Stewart, executive director of the Chicago-based Better Government Association.”
“Another head rolled at the Illinois Finance Authority. Director Ali Ata, a former fundraiser for Blagojevich, signed a sworn statement in April describing how Rezko had shaken him down four times for a total of $125,000 in bribes and large campaign contributions.”

“Fitzgerald’s team has scrambled to interview Jackson, as well as members of the Obama transition team who talked with Blagojevich about the appointment. A spokesman for Jackson said the lawmaker had told authorities about his tangle with Blagojevich, in which the congressman says the governor rejected Jackson’s wife for a lottery post after Jackson failed to raise $25,000 for the Blagojevich campaign.”

For anyone following the Rezko trial and paying attention,
nothing in this article is a surprise. What is also obvious
is that the common denominator in all of these connections
is Barack Obama.

Bill O’Reilly interviews Obama, Fox News, Obama Met With Fox News Executives, Washington Post, Sept 2, 2008

Bill O’Reilly has interviewed Barack Obama. The interview airs tonight, Thursday, Sept 4, 2008, the night of John McCain’s speech. Will O’Reilly ask Obama any substantive questions? The snippet I heard a short while ago was a cookie cutter fluff question.

The Washington Post came out with an article on Sept 2, 2008. The article states that the interview was the result of a meeting Obama had with Fox executives 3 months ago. Here are some exerpts:

“By Howard Kurtz
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, September 3, 2008; Page A22

ST. PAUL, Minn., Sept. 2 — At a secret meeting with Barack Obama three months ago, Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes says, he tried to clear the air with the Democratic senator by saying that his organization was determined to be fair but would not be “in the tank” for Obama’s campaign.”

“During the sit-down in a Waldorf-Astoria hotel suite in Manhattan that included Rupert Murdoch, the network’s owner, Obama expressed concern about the way Fox was covering him. “I just wanted to know if I’m going to get a fair shake from Fox News Channel,” Ailes recalled him saying.

“Senator, you’re the one who boycotted us,” Ailes says he replied. “We’re not the ones who boycotted you. Nor did we retaliate for your boycott.””

“Underneath all the politeness, each side clearly wanted something. Ailes was interested in smoothing relations and having Obama appear on his network, and the senator from Illinois hoped to neutralize a potential adversary and improve his treatment on the nation’s top-rated cable news channel.”

“Hannity has led the media pack in repeatedly playing videos of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s controversial former pastor, and questioning his association with William Ayers, a member of the violent Weather Underground in the 1960s. In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, Obama said Fox News and others went after his wife, Michelle, “in a pretty systematic way. . . . If you start being subjected to rants by Sean Hannity and the like, day in and day out, that’ll drive up your negatives.”

“If you’re asking me if we’re going to be in the tank for you, like MSNBC and CNN, the answer is no,” Ailes recalls saying. Executives at the rival cable networks say it is Fox’s political coverage that has been unfair.”

“Asked to assess the sit-down, Ailes said: “I wanted him to understand that we’re a real journalism organization and we’re going to cover what’s there. We’re not out to get him. . . . Neither of us was overly aggressive but neither of us blinked.””

Verdict:

O’Reilly and Fox sold out.

O’Reilly begins with Obama being right about Iraq and then asks for Obama to admit he was wrong about the surge.

O’Reilly and Fox are a joke.

Hannity is the only one at Fox doing his job. Asking the important questions about Obama.

O’Reilly is too self absorbed pontificating in his sinecure job, spouting multisyllabic words.

Bottom line. O’Reilly did a lousy job. He gave Obama the questions he has rehearsed time and time again. What right does O’Reilly have to state that OBama was right about his earlier position on Iraq. Obama is a pathological liar and therefore has no discernable position.

I could do a better job than O’Reilly any day.

John Coleman, Weather Channel Founder, Sue Al Gore, Carbon Credits, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh

John Coleman, founder of the Weather Channel, thinks Al Gore should be sued for misrepresenting the impact of carbon dioxide, CO2, and selling carbon credits. Here is an exerpt from Fox News about his recent statement:

“Not Fair and Balanced?

Weather Channel founder John Coleman is calling global warming a fraud and says the station he founded needs to stop telling people what to think about climate change. The Business and Media Institute reports Coleman was a speaker at the Heartland Institute’s Climate Change Conference in New York. Coleman was referencing what some call the Weather Channel’s global warming alarmism.

One of its meteorologists suggested two years ago that weathercasters who have doubts about global warming should lose their certification. Coleman advocates suing people who sell carbon credits — including Al Gore — because the attention in the courts could, in his words, “put some light on the fraud of global warming.”

The two-day conference is actually getting quite a bit of media coverage — with stories in the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, New York Sun and many others.”

The trancript of John Coleman’s conversation is listed on Rush Limabaugh’s website. Rush members can listen to it. Here are John Coleman’s remarks:

 “BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: John Coleman, who founded the Weather Channel, wants to sue Algore on this whole business of global warming being a hoax.  I have loved John Coleman ever since he used to be the weatherman at Good Morning America. He was on Fox & Friends today, and Steve Doocy said, “Why should Algore be sued?”

COLEMAN:  The whole backbone of the global warming “science” is what they called CO2 forcing.  This is carbon dioxide, and they say that this little trace compound in the atmosphere — 38 molecules of carbon dioxide out of a hundred thousand molecules in our atmosphere, they say this little trace element — puts the carbon in the air that forces the water vapor to create this uncontrollable global warming. It’s gonna bring this climatic catastrophe.

DOOCY: Right. Right.

COLEMAN: All right, that’s what they’re finding.  Now, I don’t believe that’s the way it works at all.

DOOCY: Mmm-hmm. Mmm-hmm.

COLEMAN: I see absolutely no evidence that CO2, carbon dioxide, is causing any warm-up in temperatures.  I don’t think it’s happening. I’m asking the question:  If Al Gore knows that CO2 forcing is invalid — isn’t really happening — and he goes ahead and sells these carbon credits for millions of dollars, is he committing financial fraud?  That is the question.

RUSH:  Doocy says, “Well, John, there’s no disputing the temperature on the planet’s gone up by one degree.” Steve, it’s come down a degree! The whole century gain was wiped out before recent temperature readings, and here’s what Coleman said.

COLEMAN:  I dispute that.

DOOCY:  You do dispute that!

COLEMAN:  I think the whole statistics are somewhat questionable.  Where are they measuring this temperature?  Who’s measuring it?  How are they handling the data?

DOOCY:  The whole global warming thing is just a hyped scam?

COLEMAN:  Maybe over the last hundred years the temperature on planet Earth went up by close to a degree or so.

DOOCY: Mmm-hmm?

COLEMAN: That’s not a big deal.  In the last 12 months, the climate on earth has gone down by a full degree.  This has been the coldest winter in modern history globally.

DOOCY: Sure.

RUSH:  Amen.  John Coleman.  I love that guy.
