The Trent Franks town hall meeting on Saturday, August 22, 2009, in Kingman, AZ is stirring up a lot of controversy. According to the Mojave Daily News, Franks was reported as saying:

“Franks said there was not enough evidence that Obama is not an American citizen. He did say there was a lot of conflicting evidence of Obama’s citizenship and that he was considering filing a lawsuit, the only congressman to do so. Franks asked why the president did not simply produce a birth certificate.””

The Citizen Wells blog has reported on the town hall meeting as well as further comments coming from representative Franks office.
A comment was posted by a citizen from AZ:

“I have emailed Rep Franks several times,…. and He has responded to me each time….by email and also snail mail letter.  Pretty much saying that obama has been vetted and all is in order.  MAYBE we should email him some info to WAKE UP his mind a little bit.  You prepare what you want and I will make sure he gets it.  I will email it and I will also send him a certified letter.  WHAT do you think?  (I also emailed Sen Mccain,…. but never received any response at all)”
Today we received this comment from travelbugs:

“I just got off the phone with Congressman Franks office. He said that he did not say he would pursue a lawsuit, but rather that he would pursue looking into this. I also explained that it is much more than the long form birth certificate. I further stated that he had to simultaneously ask for the college records and passport records to be opened up to fully understand the depth of this. The staffer said they have been flooded by calls today about the birth issue and he took my message down, in great detail, and promised to pass it along to the Congressman. Everyone needs to call and relay this same information. He can get a fake birth certificate, but he cannot forge the passport and college records as well. These elements are critical to bringing about the truth!”

 

Politico is now reporting the following:

“Franks in July: Obama ‘born in Hawaii'”

“A month before Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) told a town hall audience that there is not enough evidence that President Barack Obama is a natural-born citizen, he told an interviewer that he believes Obama was “born in Hawaii.”
According to the Mohave Daily News, on Sunday, Franks told a town hall audience in Kingman, Ariz., that there is conflicting evidence as to whether the president was born in the United States. According to the report, the Republican congressman called on Obama to produce his birth certificate and threatened to sue the president over the issue.
But in July, when a camera crew from the liberal blog FireDogLake approached Franks to ask if he believed the so-called birthers, who dispute whether Obama was born in the United States and would therefore be ineligible to serve as president, Franks made his anti-birther position pretty clear.
“I believe Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, stayed within the United States and, therefore, is a constitutionally natural-born citizen of this country,” Franks told the blog’s Mike Stark.”

Yesterday, the Citizen Wells blog presented an article about a town hall meeting hosted by representative Trent Franks of Arizona. Here are some exerpts:

“The other main issue dealt with numerous speakers questioning Obama’s birth certificate and why there wasn’t an investigation into whether he is a naturalized citizen. One woman said a newspaper announcement of his birth in Hawaii was not sufficient. Another asked how he could have a passport without a birth certificate.

Franks said there was not enough evidence that Obama is not an American citizen. He did say there was a lot of conflicting evidence of Obama’s citizenship and that he was considering filing a lawsuit, the only congressman to do so. Franks asked why the president did not simply produce a birth certificate.”

A comment was posted by a citizen from AZ:

US representative Trent Franks of Arizona, conducted a Town hall meeting, Saturday, August 22, 2009, in Kingman, AZ. Health care reform, national defense and illegal aliens and even fraudulent ACORN were discussed. However, what was most interesting about Trent Franks’ comments was his questioning Obama on not producing a birth certificate and indicating he may initiate a lawsuit. I am not certain if representative Franks really understands the eligibility issues, but at least he understands that there may be a problem.

Here are three action items for us to address:

1. Make certain that Trent Franks understands the serious eligibility issues surrounding Obama as well as his complete hiding of his past.
2. Encourage Trent Franks to initiate a lawsuit and provide data and resources.
3. Let Trent Franks know that we will support his efforts to represent the American people and uphold the US Constitution.

“KINGMAN – A big, boisterous crowd largely supported an Arizona Congressman, who lambasted the Democratic president and his policies.

Rep. Trent Franks, a Republican representing Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District that includes Mohave County, held a town hall meeting Saturday afternoon at a jammed-packed Kingman church.

 
Franks started the town hall off by showing a half-hour video on the country’s missile defense system. The movie warned of threats of a missile attack by rogue nations such as North Korea and Iran and the need to protect the country with a missile defense shield.

Franks then criticized President Barack Obama on every issue starting with the president’s lack of understanding of the threat by terrorists to launch an attack against the United States. The conservative Republican also said he voted against the federal stimulus bill and the Cash for Clunkers program, which he said benefited foreign car makers. He also said it would take 34,000 years to pay off the debt that Obama is accruing.”

I am not certain if the people were quoted correctly or not regarding the use of the words “citizen” and “naturalized citizen.”

We must make certain that Representative Franks understands the difference.

“NEWS FROM MONTANA

“Things are not always what they seem”.

Hello All,

By now you have probably heard that President Obama came to Montana last
Friday. However, there are many things that the major news has not
covered. I feel that since Joe and I live here and we were at the airport
on Friday I should share some facts with you. Whatever you decide to do
with the information is up to you. If you chose to share this email with
others I do ask that you DELETE my email address before you forward this
on.

On Wednesday, August 5th it was announced locally that the President
would be coming here. There are many groups here that are against his
healthcare and huge spending so those groups began talking and deciding
on what they were going to do. The White House would not release ANY
details other than the date.

On about Tuesday Joe found out that they would be holding the “Town Hall”
at the airport. (This is only because Joe knows EVERYONE at the airport)
Our airport is actually located outside of Belgrade (tiny town) in a very
remote location. Nothing is around there. They chose to use a hangar that
is the most remotely located hangar. You could not pick a more remote
location, and you can not get to it easily. It is totally secluded from
the public.

FYI: We have many areas in Belgrade and Bozeman which could have held a
large amount of folks with sufficient parking. (gymnasiums/auditoriums).
All of which have chairs and tables, and would not have to be SHIPPED
IN!! $$$$$

During the week, cargo by the TONS was being shipped in constantly.
Airport employees could not believe how it just kept coming. Though it
was our President coming several expressed how excessive it was,
especially during a recession. $$$$$

Late Tuesday/early Wednesday the 12th, they said that tickets would be
handed out on Thursday 9am at two locations and the president would be
arriving around 12:30 Friday.

Thursday morning about 600 tickets were passed out. However, 1500 were
printed at a Local printing shop per White House request. Hmmmm……900
tickets just DISAPPEARED.

This same morning someone called into the radio from the local UPS branch
and said that THOUSANDS of Dollars of Lobster were shipped in for Obama.
Montana has some of the best beef in the nation!!! And it would have been
really wonderful to help out the local economy. Anyone heard of the
Recession?? Just think…with all of the traveling the White House is
doing. $$$$$ One can only imagine what else we are paying for.

On Friday Joe and I got out to the airport about 10:45am. The groups that
wanted to protest Obama’s spending and healthcare had gotten a permit to
protest and that area was roped off. But that was not to be. A large bus
carrying SEIU (Service Employees International Union) members drove up
onto the area (illegal)and unloaded right there. It was quite a commotion
and there were specifically 2 SEIU men trying to make trouble and start a
fight. Police did get involved and arrested the one man but they said
they did not have the manpower to remove the SEIU crowd.
The SEIU crowd was very organized and young. About 99% were under the age
of 30 and they were not locals! They had bullhorns and PROFESSIONALLY
made signs. Some even wore preprinted T-shirts. Oh, and Planned
Parenthood folks were with them…..professing abortion rights with their
T-shirts and preprinted signs. (BTW, all these folks did have a permit to
protest in ANOTHER area)

Those against healthcare/spending moved away from the SEIU crowd to avoid
confrontation. They were orderly and respectful. Even though SEIU kept
coming over and walking through, continuing to be very intimidating and
aggressive at the direction of the one SEIU man.

So we had Montana folks from ALL OVER the state with their homemade signs
and their DOGS with homemade signs. We had cowboys, nurses, doctors you
name it. There was even a guy from Texas who had been driving through. He
found out about the occasion, went to the store, made a sign, and came to
protest.

If you are wondering about the press…..Well, all of the major networks
were over by that remote hangar I mentioned. They were conveniently
parked on the other side of the buildings FAR away. None of these crowds
were even visible to them. I have my doubts that they knew anything about
the crowds.

We did have some local news media around us from this state and Idaho.
Speaking of the local media…they were invited. However, all questions
were to be turned into the White House in advance of the event. Wouldn’t
want anyone to have to think off the top of their head.

It was very obvious that it was meant to be totally controlled by the
White House. Everything was orchestrated down to the last detail to make
it appear that Montana is just crazy for Obama and government healthcare.
Even those people that talked about their insurance woes……..the White
House called our local HRDC (Human Resource and Development Committee)
and asked for names. Then the White House asked those folks to come.
Smoke and mirrors…EVERYTHING was staged!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very dismayed about what I learned about our current White House.
The amount of control and manipulation was unbelievable. I felt I was not
living in the United States of America, more like the USSR!! I was
physically nauseous. Joe and I have been around when Presidents or Heads
of State visit. It has NEVER been like this. I am truly very frightened
for our country. America needs your prayers and your voices. If you care
about our country please get involved. Know the issues. And let Congress
hear your voices again and again!! If they are willing to put forth so
much effort to BULLY a small town one can only imagine what is going on
in Washington DC. Scary!!”

Lou Dobbs stated on his show on July 23, 2009 that the state of Hawaii discarded Obama’s paper birth certificate eight years ago. If that is true, then what did the Hawaii Health Department officials mean in their news release of October 31, 2008?

Even while US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pursues her five-day visit to India, an event has occurred in the USA that could conceivably snowball into a major controversy to cut short President Obama’s tenure.
Article 2, Section 1 of the US Constitution states: “No person except a US born citizen… shall be eligible to the office of President.”
During the last US campaign a controversy arose about Obama’s birthplace. Critics were unsure if he was born in the USA or Kenya. Obama’s campaign committee released a Hawaiian birth certificate on 13 June, 2008. Sceptics alleged that it had signs of forgery.
Obama maintained he was born in Hawaii. One hospital, Honolulu ‘s Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children, claims it received a letter from the President declaring his birth there. But White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs refused to authenticate the letter. For nearly six months the hospital proudly declared Obama was born at its facility to create poll hype. Later it covered up and refused to confirm if the letter actually existed. The letter was purportedly signed by Barak Obama. If the signature was forged it was a most serious offence. Was any action taken against the Hospital?
This week the controversy about Obama’s birthplace resurfaced dramatically. A US Army Reserve, Major Stefan Frederick Cook, scheduled for deployment to Afghanistan, refused to serve claiming that the order was illegal because the American President was not legitimate. He argued that he should not be required to serve under a President who has not proven his eligibility for office.”

Believe it or not, this story was run in the Macon Ledger-enquirer and was picked up by the Miami Herald:

“Soldier: Obama not U.S. born, can’t send me to Afghanistan”

“MACON — U.S. Army Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook is seeking a federal court order to stall and eventually prevent an upcoming deployment to Afghanistan.

In the 20-page document — filed July 8 with the United States District Court, Middle District of Georgia — Cook’s California-based attorney, Orly Taitz, asks the court to consider granting his client’s request based upon Cook’s belief that President Barrack Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the United States and is therefore ineligible to serve as commander-in-chief of U.S Armed Forces.”

“Cook received the orders mobilizing him to active duty on June 9, 2009. According to this document, which accompanies Cook’s July 8 application for a temporary restraining order, he has been ordered to report to MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla. on July 15. From there, the Florida resident will to go to Fort Benning, Ga. before deploying overseas.

A hearing to discuss Cook’s request for an injunction or temporary restraining order will take place in federal court Thursday at 9:30 a.m.”

“British government orders 90 million dosages of swine flu vaccine from Baxter, Glaxo

The British government this morning announced deals with vaccine manufacturers including Deerfield-based Baxter International Inc. to make up to 90 million dosages of a vaccine as a precaution against the swine flu.

The United Kingdom Department of Health today said this morning the deals with Baxter and GlaxoSmithKline Plc “will enable production of pre-pandemic vaccine to begin as soon as possible.” Financial terms of the deal were not available this morning

“The agreements could provide enough vaccine to protect the most vulnerable in our population before a pandemic is likely to arrive, without affecting our supply of seasonal flu vaccine,” the department said in a statement on its web site.

Baxter and other vaccine makers last week obtained strains of the A/H1NI virus from the World Health Organization, which is working with countries around the world. “The WHO has set up a pandemic vaccine supply group that meets weekly and Baxter is part of that group,” Baxter said this morning.”

Obama owned stock in a company owned by Baxter International several years ago and  company employees were sizeable contributors to Obama’s campaign. Obama also warned of a global pandemic in 2005.

“New York Reports Its First Swine Flu Death”

“An assistant principal at a New York City public school died of complications from swine flu in an intensive care unit of a Queens hospital on Sunday night, the first death in New York State of the flu strain that has swept across much of the world since it was first identified in April.”

“On Friday, Dr. Daniel Jernigan, head of flu epidemiology for the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said there had been 173 hospitalizations and 5 deaths reported to the agency. But he emphasized that most cases in the United States — possibly “upwards of 100,000” — were mild.”

““We are now seeing a rising tide of flu in many parts of New York City,” Dr. Frieden said. But he added: “Nothing we’ve seen so far suggests that it’s more dangerous to someone who gets it than the flu that comes every year. We should not forget that the flu that comes every year kills about 1,000 New Yorkers.”

Mr. Wiener, 55, had been “overwhelmed” by the illness, despite beginning a course of treatment with an experimental drug, Ribavirin, after he failed to respond to other antiviral drugs, according to Ole Pedersen, a spokesman for Flushing Hospital Medical Center, where Mr. Wiener had been a patient since Wednesday.”

“His wife, Bonnie, a reading teacher, blamed the city for failing to act sooner to close the school where she and her husband both worked. “I know we have a duty to educate the children of New York,” Ms. Wiener, who is not sick, said on Friday. But, she added, “something just doesn’t fit right.””

“A total of 105 students were documented with flulike illness at Middle School 158 in Bayside, Our Lady of Lourdes in Queens Village and a building in Flushing that houses three schools with a total of 1,320 students, including Intermediate School 25. All of the schools will be closed beginning Monday for at least five days, the department said.”

The Charlotte Observer, on Saturday, May 16, 2009 placed a political cartoon at the top of the section that was a reason for a doubletake. The cartoon actually reveals the real Obama. Where was the Observer early last year when they endorsed Obama and printed very little about his corrupt and questionable past and nothing about his eligibility issues. Obviously, with due reason, they believe that few read or take the cartoons seriously.

Hats off to the cartoonist, Glenn McCoy, and news source that first published the cartoon, the Belleville News Democrat, in Belleville, IL. Here is part of the cartoon, so as not to invoke the wrath of any cartoon or copyright gestapo. I will display the entire cartoon if the owner so desires.
