“To the future or to the past, to a time when thought is
free, when men are different from one another and do not
live alone–to a time when truth exists and what is done
cannot be undone:

From the age of uniformity, from the age of solitude,
from the age of Big Brother, from the age of doublethink–
greetings!”
“If the party could thrust its hand into the past and say
of this and that event, it never happened–that, surely,
was more terrifying than mere torture and death.”
“And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed
–if all records told the same tale–then the lie passed into
history and became truth. “Who controls the past,” ran the
Party slogan, “controls the future: who controls the present
controls the past.”
“The past, he reflected, had not merely been altered, it had
actually been destroyed. For how could you establish, even
the most obvious fact when there existed no record outside
your own memory?”

George Orwell, “1984”

I would like to thank the Washington Post for providing an
excellent example and the readers of this blog for alerting
me to this Orwellian example of revisionist history straight
out of “1984.”

If you have not read “1984” by George Orwell, our present
times and conditions make it a must read for survival.

Yesterday, the Citizen Wells blog presented a second article on
the arrest of 2 individuals in the Washington DC office
that was headed by Obama’s technology czar, Vivek Kundra, as
recently as a few days ago. This article came from a Washington
Post article dated March 13, 2009. Last night Citizen Wells
was notified that the Washington Post article had been changed.

After some investigating, it was discovered that the whole
nature of the article had been changed. Consider the
following:

The citizen Wells article dated March 13, 2009 revealed several
aspects of the Washington Post article that are potentially
damaging to Barack Obama.

“Obama Official Placed on Leave”

“Vivek Kundra, who was tapped as the White House technology czar
March 5, oversaw technology projects and budgets for 86 D.C.
government agencies as head of the District’s Office of the Chief
Technology Officer.”

“Yusuf Acar, 40, who has worked in the technology office since
2004, was charged with bribery, conspiracy, money laundering and
conflict of interest.”

“FBI agents carted away boxes and envelopes from the Office of
the Chief Technology Officer throughout the day.”

“Acar also told the informant that he could use computers to
create fake D.C. birth certificates, Hibarger said.”

“The scam began unraveling in March last year”

“The informant approached the FBI and began wearing a hidden
recording device and secretly recording phone conversations
involving Acar and Bansal.”

Here is the Washington Post article that has been completely
rewritten. It is located at the same link in the Citizen Wells
article dated March 13, 2009. Notice that the header has nothing
about Obama:

“D.C. Technology Office Scandal Revives Questions of Cronyism

By David Nakamura
Washington Post Staff Writer
Saturday, March 14, 2009; Page B01

Last summer, Vivek Kundra, then the D.C. government’s chief technology officer, introduced a massive overhaul of the way

his agency hired about 300 consultants.
Responding to vendors’ complaints that the contracting process was unfair and rife with cronyism, Kundra received $75

million from the D.C. Council to create the Information Technology Staff Augmentation program to foster greater

transparency and accountability. Kundra hired a company to help the city weed out unqualified résumés, established a

central online database to advertise contracts and disclose who won each one, and posted video solicitations for jobs

online. The ITSA program, he told council members during an oversight hearing in August, was a more open and more fair

way of doing business in the District.

But this week, the technology agency was rocked by a bribery scandal that brought the allegations of cronyism back into

full view and raised questions among consultants about whether anything has changed. Federal authorities have alleged

that Yusuf Acar, a manager in charge of information security, conspired with a contractor named Sushil Bansal to bilk

the city of money in a scheme that involved “ghost” workers and kickbacks. Both men have been arrested.

Questions submitted to Mayor Adrian M. Fenty’s office about the technology office’s contracting process, including

whether the hiring decisions by project managers were reviewed by higher-ranking authorities, were not answered

yesterday. Kundra, who left the technology office last month after President Obama appointed him the nation’s chief

information officer, has not been identified as a suspect in the D.C. case. He has been placed on administrative leave

pending the outcome of the federal investigation and declined to comment.

“We have to find the right balance and find the right checks and balances,” said council member Mary M. Cheh (D-Ward 3),

who recently took over the committee that oversees the technology office.

City Administrator Dan Tangherlini said the scheme that Acar and Bansal are accused of running predates the

implementation of ITSA in October.

Consultants who work with the technology office said yesterday that the bribery allegations emphasize their long-

standing complaints that the agency lacks sufficient oversight to ensure that contracts are awarded fairly. They

described a system in which project managers have virtually unabridged authority to issue “purchase orders” for

consultants and then decide which ones receive the contracts.

Furthermore, they said, some managers making the hiring decisions used to work for the consulting companies that are

making bids, and some of the consultants once worked as full-time city employees. Bansal worked for the city before

founding Advanced Integrated Technologies about six years ago.

“How can we even trust these people anymore?” asked Laurie Collins, owner of a small information technology consulting

firm that has worked with the city. Collins and other consultants complained that a group of fewer than 10 firms win a

disproportionate bulk of contracts, even though the city has 97 registered technology vendors.

Bansal’s firm won 14 of the 167 contracts, including two awarded by Acar, issued through ITSA so far.

Under ITSA, the city hired Optimal Solutions and Technologies to oversee the contracting process. That company set up a

Web site to post job openings and solicit résumés. The résumés of qualified candidates are then sent to D.C. project

managers without company affiliations, a tactic aimed at trying to eliminate potential company biases from the managers

making the hiring decisions.

But consultants said it is easy for vendors to sidestep that safeguard by telling the managers ahead of time which

résumés to look for.
Tim Booker, owner of the consulting firm MindFinders, said managers have developed close relationships with specific

vendors and are hesitant or unwilling to award contracts to other firms. Because of that, it is difficult for the city

to ensure that it gets the best value and services for each contract.
“Managers are not willing to break old habits,” he said. “What it requires is leadership and training and oversight.”

Under their alleged scheme, Acar approved contracts for Bansal’s company for the purchase of goods and services. But

Bansal billed the city for some services that were not provided and workers who did not exist, splitting the proceeds

with Acar, according to the affidavit. Bansal’s company has received $13 million in city contracts, including some from

other managers in the technology office and at least one other city agency.

Michael Master, owner of the consulting firm GiniCorp, opposed the implementation of the ITSA program last summer during

a D.C. Council hearing. But yesterday, he said he did not blame the system for failing to stop Acar and Bansal.
“There’s a longtime culture of bending the rules in this city,” Master said. “Whether the process is transparent or not,

which the whole ITSA thing was supposed to be, you can put in all the rules and laws, but bad people will always find a

way to get around it. This just proves that.”

Staff writer Nikita Stewart contributed to this report.”

Obama Press Office, Larry Sinclair, Citizen Wells, Anti Larry Sinclair, blogger, Journalists, Philip J Berg lawsuit, Thought Police, 1984, Sinclair YouTube video, Obama camp recruiting attackers

Pre Obama camp, Thought Police Journalist definition:

a person engaged in journalism;
a writer or editor for a news medium;
a writer who aims at a mass audience

Obama camp, “1984” definition of Journalist:

One who does not question Obama

Larry Sinclair has come full circle with the Obama camp. In 2007, Mr.
Sinclair made multiple attempts to contact the Obama Campaign regarding
his drug and sex encounter with Obama in November 1999. Larry Sinclair,
after no response from the Obama camp, produced a YouTube video in
January 2008. In the past several days Larry Sinclair has contacted
the Obama Press Office attempting to get answers to questions. He has
been shunned and received rude treatment, despite many attempts. Larry
Sinclair notified me yesterday that an audio of a phone conversation
between a blogger and a Obama Press Office person had surfaced. The
blogger, Pete, stated that he was a anti Sinclair blogger. The lady
wrote down his information for future reference. This is just the kind
of person the Obama camp has been using to attack anyone questioning
Obama, the messiah.

Another interesting aspect of the conversation was the lady asking Pete
about Citizen Wells. Should I be honored? Have I been tagged for the
next level or wave of blitzkriegs from the Obama camp? Pete responded
“they both pretend to be journalists.”

Here is a YouTube video with the telephone conversation:

Now back to Pete’s remark:
“they both pretend to be journalists”

Pete is a self proclaimed anti Larry Sinclair blogger and he is calling
me a pretend journalist?
Let’s take a recent highly relevant topic that the MSM has not covered.
The Philip J Berg lawsuit that states that Obama is not qualified to
be president. This is the same lawsuit that Obama just filed a motion
to dismiss.

I helped break the story.

I have researched the story before the lawsuit was initiated.

I have read the legal documents.

I have been in touch with Mr. Berg and his office via emails.

I have asked Mr. Berg questions during interviews.

I have kept my website up to date with breaking news.

I may have been the first source to reveal the Obama, DNC motion
to dismiss the lawsuit.

I have devoted a page on my blog to the timeline and facts regarding
the story.

I have the Obama Press Office asking about me.

I am not a rocket scientist, but it looks like Citizen Wells meets the standard definition of a journalist. Can the same thing be said for most in the MSM?

Now a message to the Obama camp and the Obama press office. My blog has covered the complete picture of Obama, his past and his associations.
At any time, you could have responded with facts to repudiate or clarify
anything written here. Have you?

I have attempted to cover the real Obama from A to Z. This includes the
long time close ties to Tony Rezko, Dan Shomon, Stuart Levine, William
Ayers, Jeremiah Wright and a host of others. Here are 2 that the public
needs answers to:

Where was Obama on November 6 and 7, 1999 and why was Obama missing from the Illinois Senate on November 4, 1999?

Why did Obama and the DNC file a motion to dismiss the Philip J Berg lawsuit instead of producing a vault COLB? John McCain produced a vault COLB.

Obama camp, Obama Press Office. Do you have any facts you would like to
respond with or are you too busy attacking those questioning Obama
and recruiting more attackers.

Orwell Diaries, George Orwell, 1984, Animal Farm, Thought Police, Doublespeak, orwelldiaries.wordpress.com

I recently came across an interesting blog, Orwell Diaries. The site chronicles George Orwell’s diary entries 70 years ago to the date. George Orwell is one of my favorite writers and I quote his book “1984” regularly. Orwell’s vision of a society where all the information available is controlled and history rewritten, resonates with many today. The Barack Obama Campaign is the living embodiment of “1984.” George Orwell also wrote “Animal Farm”, a satire of Soviet socialism.

Here is an exerpt from the about page of the blog:

“The Orwell Prize, Britain’s pre-eminent prize for political writing, is publishing George Orwell’s diaries as a blog. From 9th August 2008, Orwell’s domestic and political diaries (from 9th August 1938 until October 1942) will be posted in real-time, exactly 70 years after the entries were written.

Orwell’s ‘domestic’ diaries begin on 9th August 1938/2008; his ‘political’ diaries (which are further categorised as ‘Morocco’, ‘Pre-war’ and ‘Wartime’) begin on 7th September 1938/2008.

The diaries are exactly as Orwell wrote them. Where there are original spelling errors, they are indicated by a ° following the offending word.”

Barack Obama, Jeremiah Wright, lies, racism, anti semitism, hate America, entitlement, health care, poor housing, African Americans tortured

“We control life, Winston, at all its levels.  You are imagining that there is something called human nature which will be outraged by what we do and will turn against us.  But we create human nature.  Men are infinitely malleable.” 1984 by George Orwell.
“Do not hate your brother in your heart.” Leviticus 19:17
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
I will present the truth and facts to you. Not white truth, not black truth, not green truth. Just the truth. If I discover an error by myself or others, I will correct it.

There are no white people or black people. Hold your hand next to a white sheet and black sheet of paper. There is only one race of people, the human race. Some of my best friends have skin color that is darker or lighter than my own. I am in their homes, they are in mine. Some of these people have spent days to a year in my home.

Slavery is a great evil. It is not a white skinned or black
skinned issue. Slavery, racism and bigotry are about taking
advantage of other people. This can become widespread due to conquest, laws and ignorance.
Slavery was wrong when light skinned people owned darker skinned people in America.
Slavery was wrong when American Indians owned darker skinned people in America.
Slavery was wrong when dark skinned people owned dark skinned people in America.
Slavery was wrong when Africans sold and owned dark skinned people in Africa.
Slavery was wrong when Vikings sold and owned people in Europe.
Slavery was wrong when Romans sold and owned people in Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa.
Slavery was wrong when Egyptians sold and owned people in the Middle East and Africa.
Slavery was wrong when Middle Easterners sold and owned people in the Middle East and Africa.
Slavery was wrong when ancient Europeans sold and owned people in Europe.
Slavery was wrong when ancient peoples of the Americas sold and owned people.

Slavery has not existed in the United States for well over a hundred years. Slavery did not begin here. It was too slow in being eradicated but it was ended. George Washington and Abraham Lincoln grew up in an era of slavery, racism and bigotry. The information they were “programmed” with led them to believe that blacks were inferior. They were products of their environment. Despite the misinformation they were given, they slowly came to the realization that what they had believed about blacks was wrong.
This is one of the reasons that what pastor Jeremiah Wright
is preaching is important. Most importantly, he is enfluencing
his parishioners, especially the children. He has also had an
impact on Barack Obama, who is running for president of the US. This is not a casual relationship. Jeremiah Wright has been consistently referred to as a mentor to Barack Obama. Don’t even begin to question the above. I am very well educated and studied quite a bit of history.

Next to statements regarding entitlement and what the US government owes it’s citizens. What the federal government is responsible for is quite simple. Here are the primary responsibilities: Defense, law legislation, Supreme Court decisions, federal banking and interstate commerce. The President of the United States has the primary job of Commander in Chief. Once again national defense.

Accountability is lacking in modern day society. Why do modern day Americans have a sense of entitlement. That is, the government owes them affordable housing, free health care, educations, etc. There are three main reasons for this. The modern day Democratic Party that get votes by promising hand outs from the government,
demagogues that gain from manipulating the masses and human greed.

Here is a good example of this lack of accountability from a
recent post on this blog:

“While it is clear that a disproportionate number of African Americans are tortured by inadequate health care; poor housing, inadequate educations, abusive criminal justice, unemployment and high crime, much of this today is because they live in poverty. And in the global capitalism of today these conditions now exist for countless numbers of other Americans, white, Asian, Latino and others.”

The word torture is used again. This is a common ploy of the liberal left. Once again, there is a lack of personal accountability. The reason many of these people are in poverty is due to a lack of personal accountability and the notion that they are owed everything. Much of this comes from the modern day Democrats and demagogues.
Just look around at all the people that come to the US knowing full well of the opportunity here. All they have to do is work hard and they do, and often turn their lives around in one generation.

One of the other great lies being told is about George W Bush
and the Iraq War. George Bush did not lie about the Iraq War. There are two posts on this blog concerning the tone of the country and the situation in Iraq prior to the war. 10 quotes were provided about Iraq and Saddam Hussein, yet people have short memories and many have an agenda of propagating lies. All of the quotes came from the Clinton Administration and substantiate what George W Bush acted upon.

Lies and diversions. These are the hallmark of the liberal left.
Barack Obama’s speech about racism was a diversion. Yes, it was brilliant and eloquent, but so was Adolf Hitler. The German people wanted change. Change is not always good. Some people posting on this blog are attempting diversions as well. They speak of this white pastor and that white pastor. This is once again a diversion and rationalization. Everyone is accountable for their own actions. Some of these pastors said some really stupid things. However, Jeremiah Wright is spewing racist hate, anti semitism and hate for America. When I hear these other pastors spewing this level
of hate and mentoring a presidential candidate for 20 years, then I will redirect my energies.

So, why am I and many others focusing attention on Barack Obama, Jeremiah Wright and others they associated with. Many red flags were raised by the hate speeches of pastor Wright, his mentoring of Barack Obama for 20 years, ties to Saddam Hussein, other suspicious middle eastern and African ties and ties to criminal elements. There were red flags in Germany prior to the rise of Adolf Hitler. The people chose to ignore them. They were swept up in the euphoria of the moment with a promise of change. Even though then, as now, words of racism, anti semitism and hate were being used,
it was somebody else that was responsible for their problems. This is too important to characterize as a blacks versus whites issue. We are all Americans and we need to make an informed decision.

Obama wins Texas primary, Barack Obama wins more Texas delegates, Hillary loses Texas

Initial estimates indicate that Barack Obama has won the democratic primary in Texas. A combination of the popular vote and Texas caucus gives Obama 99 delegates to Clinton’s 94. The official results will be announced by the Texas Secretary of State on March 29 2008.

What have you been hearing from most of the media for days? That Hillary won Texas and Ohio, when she never had Texas firmly in her grasp. We have also been bombarded by the big lie that Hillary gained on Obama from those primaries when in fact she lost 15 delegates to Obama.

Folks, keep referring to 1984 by George Orwell, remember that doublespeak is alive and well and please read “Rewriting History” by Dick Morris.

Bush impeachment, Arrest, Iraq war, 1984, George Orwell, Minnesota, Liberal Democrats

I just received this comment from someone that is apparently associated with Minneapolis Minnesota and many left wing liberal groups. They actively promote ideas of impeaching President Bush, arresting Bush and that the president’s administration is involved in illegal activities such as wiretapping and torture. I would expect this kind of thought process in Minnesota just as I would in Vermont. Maybe the cold weather and indoor life affects their brains.

I went to one of their websites, and after scanning through their ridiculous comments, I came to the bottom where this appeared:
“I just want you to know that,
when we talk about war, we’re really talking about peace.”
-Bush, June 18, 2002

“War is Peace”
-Big Brother in George Orwell’s 1984

The real irony of this is that the democratic party, especially the left wing liberal segment, uses the tactics of Big Brother regularly. They constantly tell lies and distortions of truth that become reality to their cohorts. They are masters of doublespeak. Let’s address torture. The Iraq war is much more analogous to World war II than the Vietnam conflict. Real torture took place in World War II. The Japanese were masters of inflicting pain. Don’t whine to me about water boarding, you spineless wimps. World War II veterans are dying daily all around us. You insult them with your comments. If any of you have any thoughts of aggression toward President Bush, I suggest you come to NC, where the majority of the population will help you see the error of your way.

Here is the comment that was posted in it’s entirety:

The Rumsfeld approved Guantanamo torture techniques were then imported to Iraq in August 2003, where the International Committee of the Red Cross found “systemic” mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners in several facilities and where the Schlesinger Report confirmed in August 2004 that abuses were “widespread” and “serious both in number and in effect,” and that there is both “institutional and personal responsibility at higher levels;”

8. approved at least two different illegal electronic surveillance programs of American citizens without a warrant in violation of the fourth amendment and in violation of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978, and repeatedly lied to the American people by stating that no surveillance was taking place without a court order. The first program includes intercepting phone and email conversations without warrants and was exposed by the NY Times on December 16, 2005 http://emoglen.law.columbia.edu/CPC/NYT_15cnd-program.html. After that programwas exposed Bush said the program was carefully targeted to just include international calls and suspected members of Al Qaeda. Then, the second program was exposed by USA Today on May 11, 2006. It provides a wholesale attack on the fourth amendment by recording call identification information of tens of millions of purely domestic calls as well as international calls http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2006-05-10-nsa_x.htm; 9. attacked basic human rights protections in the constitution including habeas corpus, fifth amendment freedom from loss of life, liberty and property without due process of law, eighth amendment freedom from cruel and unusual punishment, and fourth amendment freedom fromunreasonable search and seizure; 10. attacked the separation of powers in an effort to consolidate power in the executive; 11. attacked the messenger who revealed that Bush “twisted” intelligence “to exaggerate the Iraqithreat.” Just as Nixon retaliated against former Pentagon analyst Daniel Ellsberg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Ellsberg, according to papers filed in court by special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald in April 2006, there was “concerted action” by “multiple people in the White House” to “discredit, punish or seek revenge against” former Ambassador Joseph Wilson for his July 6, 2003 NY Times op ed piece http://www.nytimes.com/2003/07/06/opinion/06WILS.html?ex=1372824000&en=6c6aeb1ce960dec0&ei=5007 that ripped the cover off of Bush’s false assertions in his 2003 state of the union address that Iraq was trying to buy uranium from Africa for building a nuclear bomb. In retaliation, and to silence other would-be critics, the White House collected information about Wilson and disclosed to reporters that his wife, Valerie Plame, was a covert agent in the CIA counterinsurgency division, putting her life, and the lives of her contacts, at risk in violation of a US law protecting intelligence personnel (The Impeachment of George W. Bush, by Elizabeth Holtzman); 12. as the sole person under the Federal Stafford Act with responsibility and authority to issue emergency orders to mobilize the military and any federal resources needed to aid and assist in a disaster (see Failure of Initiative, February 2006 report of the House Select Bipartisan Committee to investigate the Preparations for and the Response to Hurricane Katrina http://katrina.house.gov/), Bush failed to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, violated the public trust, and demonstrated reckless and inexcusable indifference to human life before, during and after Hurricane Katrina. Bush knew but did not act until too late, and then he lied about it on national TV. Footage and transcripts from briefings Aug. 25-31 demonstrate that Bush was personally told well in advance of the “unprecedented strength” of the hurricane, the “devastating damage expected,” and that “water shortages will make human suffering incredible,” according to highly accurate predictions by the National Weather Service. The Associated Press reported that “in dramatic and sometimes agonizing terms, federal disaster officials warned President Bush and his homeland security chief before Hurricane Katrina struck that the storm could breach levees, put lives at risk in New Orleans’ Superdome and overwhelmrescuers, according to confidential video footage,” http://www.truthout.org/cgi- bin/artman/exec/view.cgi/47/18079. Yet Bush failed to muster resources to evacuate residents in advance and failed to assist New Orleans residents after Hurricane Katrina hit. Then three days

What will be the motives which the president can feel for such abuse of his power, and the restraints that operate to prevent it? In the first place, he will be impeachable by this house, before the senate, for such an act of mal-administration; for I contend that the wanton removal of meritorious officers would subject him to impeachment and removal from his own hightrust.” http://www.gwu.edu/ffcp/mep/displaydoc.cfm?docid=fc11904http://www.commondreams.org/archive/2007/03/27/113/print/; 15. condoned criminal conduct and obstructed justice by commuting the sentence of convicted perjurer Scooter Libby to keep him silent and to demonstrate that Bush and Cheney will not allow high officials in the administration to be held accountable for their criminal acts;16. obstructed congressional investigations of these and other acts by the administration by defying subpoenas from Senate and House committees seeking documents and testimony under oath by administration officials and former administration officials; and Whereas the constitution requires the president to take the following oath of office: “I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States;” and Whereas the constitution provides that the president “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed;” and

Whereas the constitution mandates that “the President, Vice President and all civil Officers ofthe United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors;” and Whereas impeachment was so important to our founding fathers that it is mentioned six times in five different sections of the constitution; and Whereas George Mason, a primary author of the Constitution, said that impeachment was the single most important part of the entire document. “Shall any man be above Justice? Above all shall that man be above it who can commit the most extensive injustice?” http://gunstonhall.org/georgemason/constitution.html July 20, 1787; and Whereas “high Crimes and Misdemeanors” is a term of art that means a serious abuse of power, whether or not it is also a crime, that endangers our constitutional system of government, or an abuse of public trust. (See Constitutional Grounds for Presidential Impeachment: Report of the House Judiciary Committee, 1974, http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/clinton/stories/watergatedoc_3.htm, articles by Elizabeth Holzman who served on the House Judiciary Committee during the impeachment hearings of Richard Nixon in 1974 http://www.thenation.com/doc/20060130/holtzman; and http://www.thenation.com/docprint.mhtml?i=20070212&s=holtzman, and the book, The Impeachment of George W. Bush, by Elizabeth Holtzman) Whereas each of the above listed acts meets or exceeds that standard; andWhereas impeachment is the only constitutional method to protect Americans from a president intent on abusing power, violating the constitution, violating the laws, and breaching public trust; and Whereas Bush and Cheney threaten further crimes, including launching a war of aggression against Iran, and whereas sufficient time remains in their term of office for them to commit thosecrimes so allowing either or both of them to remain in office for that remaining time will facilitate these crimes, and whereas pretexts for attacking Iran have been issued, as described by a former CIA Middle East field officer and current Time Magazine columnist http://www.time.com/time/printout/0,8816,1654188,00.html; and Whereas failing to hold Bush and Cheney accountable not only condones their crimes but facilitates a future president committing similar or greater crimes; and Whereas members of Congress swear an oath to “support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” and no part of this oath permits exception for partisan advantage, the next election, political expediency, whether it is distracting from other issues, or how much time they have left in office; and Whereas failure by Congress to initiate the one remedy–impeachment–provided by our founding fathers to protect the constitution from such serious abuses has put that constitution, the rule of law, civil liberties, our democratic form of government, the separation of powers, the lives of our men and women in uniform, and the lives of countless civilians at severe risk; and Whereas citizen pressure led the Vermont State Senate and 87 cities and towns around the nation to pass impeachment resolutions; and

Whereas a poll conducted by http://www.americanresearchgroup.com on July 5, 2007 found that 54% of American adults want the US House of Representatives to begin impeachmentproceedings against Vice President Dick Cheney while only 40% oppose, and whereas the poll also found that 45% are in favor of the same thing for President George W. Bush while 46% oppose; and Whereas in view Congress’ ongoing complicity with the war, the torture, the lies, the warrantless wiretapping, and the imprisonment without trial, and its failure to protect rights and civil liberties, it is up to the people themselves to defend the constitution and our civil liberties by building larger grassroots movements, including a movement for impeachment; Therefore be it resolved that the National Lawyers Guild calls upon the U.S. House of Representatives to immediately initiate impeachment proceedings, to investigate the charges, andif the investigation supports the charges, to vote to impeach George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney as provided in the Constitution of the United States of America; and Be it further resolved that the National Lawyers Guild will establish an NLG Impeachment Committee open to all members to coordinate action by the NLG in support of impeachment, to work with national and grassroots impeachment organizations, and to provide legal assistance for those efforts to strengthen the national campaign for impeachment; and Be it further resolved that the NLG Impeachment Committee will help organize and coordinate events at the local, state, and national level to build public participation in the campaign to initiate impeachment investigation, impeachment, and removal of Bush and Cheney from office without further delay; and Be it further resolved that the National Lawyers Guild calls on NLG members to ask their respective member of Congress to support H. Res. 333 to impeach Cheney and to introduce or support other impeachment resolutions; and Be it further resolved that the National Lawyers Guild calls on all other state and national bar associations, state and local government bodies, community organizations, labor unions, and all other citizen associations to adopt similar resolutions and to use all their resources to build the campaign demanding that Congress initiate impeachment investigation, impeach, and remove Bush and Cheney from office without further delay; and Be it further resolved that the National Lawyers Guild will forward a copy of this resolution to the Speaker and the Clerk of the US House of Representatives, to Representative John Conyers, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, to the various state and federal bar associations, to other peace and justice organizations, and to the news media. Implementation: By the NLG Impeachment Committee established by this resolution, by interested local chapters, and by national officers. George Orwell was a brilliant writer and prophet, but much of the “handwriting was on the wall” regarding the direction of society and thought control. He had witnessed the propaganda of the Nazi Regime and Joseph Goebbels. Goebbels was famous for saying, “If  you are going to tell a lie, tell a big one.” Of course the Nazis crafted the big lie putting the responsibility for all of Germany’s woes on the jews.

In “1984”, Orwell portrays life in a society where all citizens are constantly told what to think and do. Every home has a screen that broadcasts production and war news and also instructions on how to live and what to think. The slight difference in that society was that each person was being monitored visually and auditorily. If you stop and think about it, we have been told for many years what to wear, how to act and what to think by television commercials and political parties. We now have computer screens doing the same thing through vehicles like AOL, etc.

For many months I have been watching the misinformation campaign emanating from AOL, the television and print media about the declining housing market in the US and then the imminent recession. I have been warning people to seek the truth and to be on the lookout for agendas of profit and political gain. This also applies to the misinformation campaign concerning “global warming.” Follow the money.

I urge everyone to revisit “1984” by George Orwell and ponder the influence on our lives from modern day purveyors of words. If you are unsure of this, just think about the products you buy or decisions you are currently making about housing, voting or other purchases.

Just today, in the Charlotte Observer, their doom campaign manifested itself again with misinformation about the economy. On the front page they are trying to correlate the relationship between food stamps in Mecklenburg County and the state of the economy. They use the “expert” word to imply that a recession is imminent. Here is an exerpt from the “experts” at the Charlotte Observer:

“Escalating food stamp requests is one sign that a recession is imminent, experts say.

Our office is the first indicator that the economy is headed south, said Peggy McCoy, economic services director for the Mecklenburg Department of Social Services.”

First of all, these people are not qualified to make this statement. Secondly, it is based on faulty data that does not account for the rapid general growth in Mecklenburg County and specifically the rapid growth in the illegal alien population. But what the heck, the facts have never gotten in the way of journalists and their agenda before. Consider the NY Times recent attempt to smear the reputation of a good man, John McCain.

Here are some excerpts from “1984”, however I urge you, your children, family and friends to read the book.

“Winston dialed “back numbers” on the telescreen and called for the appropriate issues of the TIMES, which slid out of the pneumatic tube after only a few minutes’ delay.  The messages he had received referred to articles or news items which for one reason or another it was thought necessary to alter, or, as the official phrase had it, to rectify.  For example, it appeared from the TIMES of the seventeenth of March that Big Brother, in his speech of the previous day, had predicted that the South Indian front would remain quiet but that a Eurasian offensive would shortly be launched in North africa.  As it happened, the Eurasian Higher Command had launched its offensive in South India and left North Africa alone.  it was therefore necessary to rewrite a paragraph of Big Brother’s speech in such a way as to make him predict the thing that had actually happened.”
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week.  Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours?  Yes, they swallowed it.  Parsons swallowed it easily, with the stupidity of an animal.”
“We control life, Winston, at all its levels.  You are imagining that there is something called human nature which will be outraged by what we do and will turn against us.  But we create human nature.  Men are infinitely malleable.  Or perhaps you have returned to your old idea that the proletarians or the slaves will arise and overthrow us.  Put it out of your mind.  They are helpless, like the animals.  Humanity is the Party.  The others are outside – irrelevant.

Read “1984”, question what you read and hear, seek the truth and follow the money.
