ACORN, Bank of America, BOFA drops ACORN, Acorn Housing, recent allegations, Charlotte Observer, Obama and ACORN ties, Catholic Bishops report, Fox News, US House of Representatives report

Bank of America, according to the Wall Street Journal, has “suspended current commitments” to Acorn Housing, an affiliated group, and “will not enter into any further agreements with Acorn or any of its affiliates,” pending assessments by the bank of the organization’s operations. We know that if Bank of America was relying on the Charlotte Observer for news, they were not getting the truth about ACORN and Obama. However, as reported on this and other blogs, ACORN corruption and exploitation of the poor has been exposed for years.
From Citizen Wells, October 8, 2008 – Catholic Bishops report, 1997, ACORN corruption

“To be eligible to receive CHD funds, a program must be run by the poor, benefit the poor, and change social structures that harm the poor.” However, in light of the politically oriented thrust of ACORN’s activities, it is fair to ask whether the CHD subsidies to ACORN are advisable and commensurate with the purposes of CHD.”

“This commentary does not oppose CHD funding of genuine, grassroots community organizations, run and supported by individual members of a parish or diocese. There is potential value and virtue in the collective voice. However, when the CHD funds Alinsky-style, church-based community organizations as in the best interest of the poor and supports organizations which advance other agendas, it divests the poor of their right to an authentic voice. This process tends to treat the poor as exploited units of human capital, rather than as human beings created in the dignity of God’s image.”

Citizen Wells article

Do any Catholics work for Bank of America?
From Catholic News Service October 16, 2008.

“The Catholic Campaign for Human Development suspended funding a nationwide community organizing group after it was disclosed June 2 that nearly $1 million had been embezzled.

Funding was suspended for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, popularly known as ACORN, because of the financial irregularities, said Ralph McCloud, executive director of CCHD, the U.S. bishops’ domestic anti-poverty and social justice program.

“We’re not funding them at any level,” McCloud told Catholic News Service Oct. 15.

The suspension covers all 40 ACORN affiliates nationwide that had been approved for $1.13 million in grants for the funding cycle that started July 1, 2008.”

As reported on Citizen Wells.

October 14, 2008 Senator John Cornyn letter to US Dept. of Justice

“I am increasingly concerned by reports of widespread election fraud by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (”ACORN”), which seem to emerge on a daily basis.

Specifically, I call your attention to state and local investigations into potentially hundreds of thousands of fraudulent voter registration applications filed by ACORN in North Carolina, Ohio, Nevada…”

US House of Representatives report, July 23, 2009, covered by Fox News and Citizen Wells
“The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has repeatedly
and deliberately engaged in systemic fraud. Both structurally and operationally, ACORN
hides behind a paper wall of nonprofit corporate protections to conceal a criminal
conspiracy on the part of its directors, to launder federal money in order to pursue a
partisan political agenda and to manipulate the American electorate.
Emerging accounts of widespread deceit and corruption raise the need for a criminal
investigation of ACORN. By intentionally blurring the legal distinctions between 361
tax-exempt and non-exempt entities, ACORN diverts taxpayer and tax-exempt monies
into partisan political activities. Since 1994, more than $53 million in federal funds have
been pumped into ACORN, and under the Obama administration, ACORN stands to
receive a whopping $8.5 billion in available stimulus funds.
Operationally, ACORN is a shell game played in 120 cities, 43 states and the District of
Columbia through a complex structure designed to conceal illegal activities, to use
taxpayer and tax-exempt dollars for partisan political purposes, and to distract
investigators. Structurally, ACORN is a chess game in which senior management is
shielded from accountability by multiple layers of volunteers and compensated
employees who serve as pawns to take the fall for every bad act.”

From the Wall Street Journal, September 28, 2009.

“Already facing the loss of federal government funding, the community-organizing group Acorn also has run afoul of one of its big corporate partners, Bank of America Corp.

In response to questions from The Wall Street Journal, a spokesman for the banking company said it has “suspended current commitments” to Acorn Housing, an affiliated group, and “will not enter into any further agreements with Acorn or any of its affiliates,” pending assessments by the bank of the organization’s operations.

Acorn, officially the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, has been under fire since the recent release of secretly recorded videos that showed Acorn employees offering advice on evading taxes, setting up brothels and smuggling illegal immigrants.

The News Hub panel discusses Bank of America’s retreat from Acorn, the government’s newly-announced $35 billion aid package to homeowners and signs of life in the corporate profits.

Acorn has called the actions unacceptable and has fired the workers involved. Last week, Acorn said it has selected Scott Harshbarger, a former Massachusetts attorney general, to investigate any wrongdoing at the organization.

Acorn Housing for years has worked with Bank of America and some other big banks on foreclosure-prevention efforts.

“Bank of America takes recent allegations made against Acorn and Acorn Housing Corporation employees very seriously,” the bank said in a statement.”

“Bank of America takes recent allegations made against Acorn and Acorn Housing Corporation employees very seriously,”
What planet has Bank of America been on the past year?

Is this indicative of the power of the mainstream media?

Was Bank of America controlled by the Democrats or Obama camp?

No wonder Bank of America had financial problems.

H1N1 flu update, May 14, 2009, CDC, Pregnant women risks, population has little to no immunity, Mutations, risk that the viruses will exchange genetic material and get worse

Here is the latest report from the CDC. Three aspects of the H1N1 flu strike me as significant.

  • “The population has little to no immunity against it.”
  • “Pregnant women are at higher risk of complications of influenza.” “We are also seeing some severe complications among pregnant women in this year’s novel H1N1 virus problem” “I think that the H1N1 virus that we’re dealing with is novel, and so, we don’t think pregnant women have ever seen this before or would be protected from it from years past.”
  • “Unfortunately, reassortment happens. And this means that the viruses that we’re seeing can exchange genetic material with other viruses that are circulating. This can happen in humans, in pigs, in birds. And so, we do always have a risk that the viruses will exchange genetic material and get worse, or hopefully, get better, if they do that. So, we do think that the simultaneous occurrence in the world right now of this novel H1N1 strain that appears to be very transmissible, and very virulent H5N1 (Editor′s note – this is a correction) strains that are endemic in animals in certain countries of the world in the avian population, and the seasonal H1N1 strain that is oseltamivir resistant is an unusual circumstance.”

Do not panic. Stay informed.

If you are pregnant, take extra precautions and if possible limit your exposure.

A decision to take a vaccine must be carefully weighed.

Press Briefing Transcripts

CDC Telebriefing on Investigation of Human Cases of H1N1 Flu

May 12, 2009, 12:30 p.m. ET

Operator: Welcome, and thank you all for standing by.  At this time, I would like to remind parties in your lines are in a listen-only mode until the question-and-answer session, at which time, press star one to ask a question.  Today’s call is being recorded.  If you have any objections, you may disconnect at this time.  I’ll now turn the meeting over to Tom Skinner, you may begin.

Tom Skinner: Thank you for joining us for the update of an investigation into a novel strain of H1N1.  With us today is Dr. Anne Schuchat.  That is spelled A-N-N-E.  Last name is S-C-H-U-C-H-A-T.  She is the Interim Deputy Director for Science and Public Health program here at CDC.  She’s going to be providing some opening comments and then we’ll turn it over to reporters for Q&A.  So, Dr. Schuchat?

Anne Schuchat: Great.  Good afternoon, everyone.  What I want to do is give you a quick situation update; talk little bit in more detail about a clinical group of patients, and then make some closing comments about where I think we are in this investigation.

So, as of today, there are about 3,600 probable and confirmed cases in 46 states and the District of Columbia.  We have 3,002 confirmed cases in 44 states and D.C., with the most recent onset May 5th.  As you know, there have been three reported fatalities confirmed to be due to the H1N1 virus.  We have 116 hospitalizations that are being investigated at this point.  Most of those have been confirmed to be due to the H1N1 virus.  Our median age remains low at 15 years with a range, though, of 1 month of age up to 86 years.  Almost two-thirds of our confirmed cases are under 18.  Around the world, the case counts are continuing to increase.  There’s a total of 5,251 confirmed cases according to the World Health Organization, and those are occurring in 30 countries with Canada being and the United Kingdom having the largest number of confirmed cases after the U.S. and Mexico.

In terms of our U.S. situation, you know we’ve had a active response with more than 100 field staff deployed to help with investigations in this country and Mexico.  We’ve deployed the test kits to the states, and I’m happy to report that as of today, 29 of the states are now doing their own confirmatory testing for the novel H1N1 strain.  We’ve sent the lab kits to a number of countries around the world, and testing is a critical part of understanding the situation around the world.  As we continue to investigate, we learn more and we want to share information as we get it.

I wanted to say a few words today about this novel H1N1 influenza virus and pregnancy.  As many of you know, pregnant women are at higher risk of complications of influenza, whether it’s the seasonal influenza or pandemics of the past.  We are also seeing some severe complications among pregnant women in this year’s novel H1N1 virus problem, and I really want to make you aware of that, because I think it’s something that can have important clinical benefit.  We have about 20 cases under investigation right now where the H1N1 virus has been found in association with pregnancy.  We’re continuing to understand the illness in these patients, and a few of the patients have had severe complications.  As I think many of you know there was one fatality in a pregnant woman.  Influenza can cause worse complications in pregnancy than in people who are not pregnant.  Important complications include pneumonia and dehydration as well as complications for the newborn, like premature labor.  We think it’s very important when doctors are caring for pregnant women who they suspect may have influenza, that they issue prompt treatment with antiviral medicines.  Sometimes, physicians are reluctant to treat pregnant women with medicines, and sometimes pregnant women are reluctant to take medicines because, of course, they are sometimes risky during pregnancy.  The experts who have looked into this situation really strongly say that the benefits of using antiviral drugs to treat influenza in a pregnant woman outweigh the theoretical concerns about the drugs.  We think that either of the two medicines that this virus is susceptible to it be used for this condition.  So, while we don’t have lots and lots of experience yet with this H1N1 virus in pregnancy, it’s important to know, to look back on what we do know about seasonal influenza and pregnancy.  We strongly recommend pregnant women receive the seasonal flu vaccine to protect them from complications of influenza during pregnancy.  And for this novel H1N1 virus, we really want to get the word out about the likely benefits of prompt antiviral treatment in pregnancy when you’re suspecting influenza.  We are going to be issuing an MMWR report with some clinical and some data about the pregnancy cases that we’ve been investigating, and I think I would look for that to come out fairly soon with a little bit more detail than what I’ve shared.

Yesterday at the media briefing, a few of you had questions about a recent article that came out in “Science Express.”  I think it came out two minutes before the press conference yesterday, so I wasn’t fully prepared, but I wanted to make a couple comments about this.  It’s an article by Christoph Frasier and colleagues called “Pandemic Potential of a Strain of Influenza: H1N1 Early Findings.”  This was a modeling analysis looking at data from Mexico in collaboration with investigators there.  And I think it’s very important that the infectious disease modeling community is aggressively responding to this novel virus and trying to share lessons learned in real time.  It’s important to say that uncertainty remains, that we’re learning more about transmissibility and attack rates.  In the article, the authors concluded that the virus characteristics in Mexico were not of the severity or transmissibility that we had seen in the 1918 pandemic, but they compared it with something of a magnitude of the 1957 pandemic.  It’s important to say that we may see changes as this virus is present in different countries, depending on the health care resources of the countries and the types of interventions that are carried out as well as potential changes that the virus goes through, as influenza viruses can mutate and evolve in the course of their spread.  So, I think this was an important report, and I applaud the authors for taking on this topic, and we hope that the international community will continue to collaborate to learn as much as we can about this new virus and how it behaves in large populations.

I also want to comment about seasonal influenza.  We have been mentioning, and on our website, you see that we have cases of the regular seasonal flu strains, the seasonal A-H1N1, the seasonal A-H3N2 (Editor′s note – this is a correction), and the seasonal B viruses.  They are continuing to circulate now at a time when this novel H1N1 virus is also circulating.  One thing you can see from our flu view on the website is that there is an uptick of these other viruses in addition to the H1N1 virus.  We don’t think that there was a decrease in seasonal flu and then an increase in seasonal flu.  We think that pattern suggests that more people with influenza-like symptoms are being tested and more of those viruses are being studied so that our efforts to respond to this outbreak have led to recognition of more seasonal influenza.  It’s important to say that a large proportion of the strains currently being tested are due to this novel H1N1 virus, but there are other strains circulating.  So, that’s an important occurrence.  It maybe foreshadows what we have to face next fall, when seasonal strains of influenza are likely to circulate, and we may see this H1N1 strain come back, perhaps, in worse or milder form.

The last comment is just to continue to say that vaccine development efforts have been of interest.  This is the time when we are growing up isolates to potentially identify a candidate virus that would be handed off to manufacturers to work on manufacturing or development stages.  CDC has sent five isolates to several different institutions around the world where candidate vaccines, viruses could be developed.  And there are active discussions being carried out across the U.S. government, including with manufacturers, to understand next steps and potential vaccine development and manufacturing.  So, in closing my prepared remarks, I just want to say that I think we are transitioning to the long view now.  We have a focus on the southern hemisphere, where illness may be on the upswing soon, and where we hope to learn as much as possible to help them respond and also to learn for what might be the case here in the northern hemisphere next year.  We’re also preparing for the fall, including exploration of vaccine development and manufacturing discussions.  We’re also trying to learn as much as we can from the experience of the past few weeks so that we can be better prepared going forward.  So, with that, I’d like to answer questions that you might have.

Tom Skinner: First question, Rose?

Operator: Our first question is from Elizabeth Weise, USA Today.  Your line is open.

Elizabeth Weise: Hi, thank you for taking my question.  I wanted to go back to your focus on pregnant women and the specific problems they face.  You said you have about 20.  Do you have any sense of percentages, about what percentage of pregnant women might be at risk for this?  Is pregnancy in and of itself the main, underlying condition, or is it pregnant women who also have other underlying conditions as well?

Anne Schuchat: Pregnancy is a well-documented risk factor for complications of influenza.  It’s not that we think pregnant women get influenza, seasonal flu, for instance, more than other people, but we think when they suffer an infection with influenza, they can have a worse time.  For instance, they may develop pneumonia, they may develop dehydration, and their metabolic system may not be able to handle the infection as well.  So, there are a number of reasons that pregnant women can have a worse time, including some complications, such as preterm labor and complications for the newborn.  So, this is a group that we include among our populations at higher risk for influenza complications, and that’s why for the past several years we’ve been strongly recommending women who are pregnant receive the influenza vaccine, to protect them and to have a better outcome of their pregnancy.

Elizabeth Weise: Follow-up question.  Is there then the sense that this H1N1 novel influenza is any worse or better than seasonal flu when it comes to pregnant women, or is it just you’re trying to reiterate to women that they shouldn’t be afraid to take antivirals and to see a doctor if they get it?

Anne Schuchat: You know, I think that the H1N1 virus that we’re dealing with is novel, and so, we don’t think pregnant women have ever seen this before or would be protected from it from years past.  Many years with seasonal flu strains circulating, a lot of pregnant women may have some immunity to the strands that are circulating.  We still think vaccination’s a good idea for pregnant women, but I think because of this — because this H1N1 virus is targeting younger people and because it’s totally new and because we know that pregnancy is a risk factor for worse complications, we really want to focus our attention on it and make sure that pregnant women and their health care providers have this concern in mind.  Next question?

Operator: The next is from Jennifer Corbett, Dow Jones.  Your lone is open.

Jennifer Corbett: Yeah, hi.  I have two questions.  The one — do you recommend for seasonal flu that women, pregnant women, take antivirals or is this specific to the H1N1?  And then the other question I had is at the top you mentioned that there’s been a death of a pregnant woman.  Was that one of the women in Texas?  Was she the one in Texas?

Anne Schuchat: That’s right about the fatality we do think that when influenza occurs in pregnancy, it should be treated with antivirals.  The message today, the time of year we’re at right now, the majority of what we’re seeing that is influenza-like illness, or half of what we’re seeing is this H1N1 strain, so it’s in this circumstance that we’re really trying to remind people that treatment of influenza-like illness in pregnancy is appropriate.  We don’t know as much as we would like to know about the H1N1 virus that we’re seeing.  And certainly, every day we’re learning little bit more.  As we’ve accumulated some experience with this illness, we are trying to share clinical, interim clinical recommendations.  So, I think that things could change as we get further along in the investigation, but so far, of course, one of our three fatalities was a very sad story in a woman who was pregnant.  Next question, please?

Operator: The next is from Mike Stobbe, Associated Press. Your line is open.

Mike Stobbe: Hi, thanks for taking the call.  Doctor, that “Science” article had an estimate about when the virus might have first appeared.  Can you tell us, you know, as this has been going on, what’s science telling you at this point about when it first appeared?  Did it first appear in a pig?  Who infected who?  Do you have any update on that?  And I have a second question.

Anne Schuchat: Yeah, the paper in “Science” talked about beginning — there’s a virus emerging in the middle of February, and I think the working hypotheses for much of the influenza community right now is that this strain was circulating in pigs somewhere, and eventually, you know, reassorted and was able to infect humans easier, the people got it and then it became easily transmitted between people.  That’s a working hypothesis, but of course, the scientific community and CDC included is very open to other hypotheses.  We don’t have new information about the specific origins.  We think that’s an important investigation that the scientific and public health community is taking on, but so, the clinical illness — that paper suggested mid-February, and we don’t have reason to believe that humans were having a large problem with this before that.  But of course, you know, investigations are active in a number of places.

Mike Stobbe: Okay.  My second question — we’ve begun to see announcements from companies about the availability of commercial tests for this novel virus coming online.  Can you assess those for me?  Are those good tests?  Are they solid?  Are they starting to contribute to the case counts?

Anne Schuchat: I won’t — I don’t have the information to be able to answer the question.  I’m sorry.  I think that it’s — you know, we have disseminated information on sequence and the primers and probes that can be used to identify this virus.  We’ve also distributed agents and test kits for the public health laboratory network to be able to recognize this.  It’s very possible for manufacturers, biotech companies, to make kits that would work similarly to the ones the CDC has distributed.  There’s usually a validation process that goes forward, and I’m not — I don’t know whether there’s any systemic evaluation of the commercially produced kits that — I don’t know if CDC’s involved in any of that.  So, sorry about that.

Tom Skinner: Next question, Rose.

Operator: The next is from Michael Smith, Med Page Today.  Your line is open.

Michael Smith: Dr. Schuchat, you talked about antivirals in connection with pregnant women.  On the Hubra press conference earlier today, they said that antivirals are being aggressively used in Europe, where they’re mainly employee cases, and were being reserved really largely for serious cases in the U.S. and Mexico.  Can you comment on how antivirals are being used in the U.S.?

Anne Schuchat: Yes, that’s right.  The circumstances in the U.S. are very different from the circumstances in a number of European countries.  We have this virus in every — pretty much, almost every state in the country, and suspected it’s likely already to the states that haven’t confirmed it yet.  We don’t have a situation where we can contain the virus’s geographic distribution, and our focus is on reducing illness and death and mitigating the impact that this virus has as well as focusing our efforts on areas where they can have the most impact.  So, the priority here is for antiviral drugs for treatment of influenza, where we think the treatment will make a difference, and that’s for people with severe illness presentation or for people who have underlying medical conditions or pregnancy, where the complications of an influenza infection might be worse than in other people.  So, our focus for antiviral drugs is primarily on treatment.  And we are aware that there are some other countries where there’s a lot of preventive use of antiviral drugs around the traveler, around the first case that they’ve seen.  That circumstance is not likely to have a benefit here in the United States based on the transmission patterns we’re seeing and the stage of the outbreak that was present by the time we recognized this virus.  Did you have a follow-up question, or —

Michael Smith: No, that’s good.  Thank you.

Anne Schuchat: Okay.  Is there another question?

Operator: The next is from Emma Hitt, Medscape, your line is open.

Emma Hitt: Yes, hi, thank you for taking my question.  You talk about the novel H1N1 virus coming back during the fall.  Is that a certainty?  And will it definitely pick up back in the fall?  And also, do you expect the H1N1 virus to be more robust during the summer months than the seasonal flu strain?

Anne Schuchat: We wish that we knew what was going to happen in the fall.  Influenza is usually seasonal, and usually, there is very limited circulation in the northern hemisphere during our summer months.  But there is increased circulation in the southern hemisphere during that same time period.  We don’t know whether the novel H1N1 virus will circulate in the U.S. next fall, and if it circulates, whether it will be more severe, of similar severity or less severe than now.  We think that if we have good information coming from the southern hemisphere and we see a lot of disease or severe disease associated with this virus, that that would increase the likelihood that we would continue to see problems in the fall.  But we, unfortunately, cannot predict.  The other thing is that these viruses continue to change.  Because we have seasonal influenza strains, including an H1N1 strain that is resistant to oseltamivir and zinamivir.  But because we have an H1N1 strain that’s circulating that’s resistant and we have this novel H1N1 strain, we also don’t know whether there might be a reassortment between the human seasonal flu strain and the novel strain.  So, there’s a lot of unknowns, a lot of uncertainties and a real priority to have good laboratory surveillance and monitoring of the circumstances in the southern hemisphere and the ongoing occurrence here in the U.S.  Next question?
Operator: The next is from Allen Miranda.  Your line is open.

Alan Miranda: Hi.  Well, I would like to follow up on what you just said.  You said also at the beginning that there are also other kinds of viruses circulating.  And I was about to ask you, if this virus could reassort with any other kind, any other strain, Avian flu, for instance.

Anne Schuchat: Unfortunately, reassortment happens. And this means that the viruses that we’re seeing can exchange genetic material with other viruses that are circulating.  This can happen in humans, in pigs, in birds.  And so, we do always have a risk that the viruses will exchange genetic material and get worse, or hopefully, get better, if they do that.  So, we do think that the simultaneous occurrence in the world right now of this novel H1N1 strain that appears to be very transmissible, and very virulent H5N1 (Editor′s note – this is a correction) strains that are endemic in animals in certain countries of the world in the avian population, and the seasonal H1N1 strain that is oseltamivir resistant is an unusual circumstance.  Certainly, our efforts to control seasonal influenza with our annual immunization campaign will be important, and of course, there are discussions going on about vaccine development and potentially manufacturing and even use, eventually, of an H1N1 virus vaccine.  Those are important discussions, as well as the ongoing efforts to try to control the Avian H5N1 problem in birds in some of the world.  Next question?

Operator: I’m showing no questions at this time.

Tom Skinner: Okay.  Rose, thank you, and thank you all for joining us for this update.  Please stay tuned and continue to go to http://www.cdc.gov for updated information, and we’ll keep you apprised as developments warrant.  Thank you.

WHO to stop using swine flu name, H1N1 influenza A, World Health Organization announcement, April 30, 2009, confusion over the danger posed by pigs, Egypt slaughter of pigs, UN food agency concerns

From the Chicago Tribune April 30, 2009.

“WHO to stop using ‘swine flu’ name to avoid confusion over risk from pigs”

“The World Health Organization announced Thursday it will would stop using the term “swine flu” to avoid confusion over the danger posed by pigs. The policy shift came a day after Egypt began slaughtering thousands of pigs in a misguided effort to prevent swine flu.

WHO spokesman Dick Thompson said the agriculture industry and the U.N. food agency had expressed concerns that the term “swine flu” was misleading consumers and needlessly causing countries to ban pork products and order the slaughter of pigs.

“Rather than calling this swine flu … we’re going to stick with the technical scientific name H1N1 influenza A,” Thompson said.

The swine flu virus originated in pigs, and has genes from human, bird and pig viruses. Scientists don’t know exactly how it jumped to humans. In the current outbreak, WHO says the virus is being spread from human to human, not from contact with infected pigs.

Egypt began slaughtering its roughly 300,000 pigs Wednesday even though experts said swine flu is not linked to pigs and not spread by eating pork. Angry farmers protested the government decree.

In Paris, the World Organization for Animal Health said Thursday “there is no evidence of infection in pigs, nor of humans acquiring infection directly from pigs.”

Killing pigs “will not help to guard against public or animal health risks” presented by the virus and “is inappropriate,” the group said in a statement.”

“WHO also reported the number of confirmed swine flu cases rose to 257 worldwide Thursday, with cases in Mexico rising to 97 from 26, with seven deaths. The WHO confirmed tally from the United States now stands at 109, with one death.

Other confirmed cases include 34 in Canada, 13 in Spain, eight in Britain, three each in Germany and New Zealand, two in Israel and one each in Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands.”

Flu, avian flu, Baxter International, Indonesia avian flu, H5N1 virus, World Health Organization, WHO, Indonesia signed a memorandum of agreement with Baxter, February 7, 2007

Here is an interesting  tidbit about Baxter International, a company enmeshed in the controversy surrounding the swine flu pandemic. This news is from the NY Times dated February 7, 2007 and is another connection in common with Obama, Indonesia.

“Indonesia May Sell, Not Give, Bird Flu Virus to Scientists

Published: February 7, 2007”

“Indonesia, which has had more human cases of avian flu than any other country, has stopped sending samples of the virus to the World Health Organization, apparently because it is negotiating a contract to sell the samples to an American vaccine company, a W.H.O. official said yesterday.

The strains of the H5N1 virus circulating in Indonesia are considered crucial to developing up-to-date vaccines and following mutations in the virus. The official, Dr. David L. Heymann, said the agency was “clearly concerned” about the development and was in talks with Indonesia.

Dr. Heymann, the agency’s chief of communicable diseases, said he was not blaming the company involved, Baxter Healthcare of Deerfield, Ill. “But now that this has happened,” he said, “we have to sit down and figure out how to rectify it.”

Indonesia signed a memorandum of agreement with Baxter today.

A Baxter spokeswoman said the company had not asked Indonesia to stop cooperating with the W.H.O. She added that the agreement under negotiation would not give it exclusive access to Indonesian strains.

The virus has not yet mutated into a strain easily transmitted among humans. But it has infected 81 people in Indonesia, 63 of them fatally. It killed more people in 2006 than in any previous year and is out of control in poultry in Indonesia, Egypt and West Africa, so experts fear it as much as ever.”

““The W.H.O. should be their biggest friend. Indonesia has a virus with a 70 percent case fatality, and we don’t know why. If they want to work with the best laboratories in the world, they should make sure that virus samples can get out.”

With human cases breaking out in Egypt, Nigeria and elsewhere, new pandemic flu vaccines could be produced from other strains, Dr. Monto added. Indonesia’s Asian neighbors are the most threatened by its outbreak and may press it to back down, he said.”

“The strains are usually rendered harmless by laboratories that consult with the W.H.O., and the genes responsible for the ability of the virus’s outer coat to invade cells are spliced to older, well-known strains. Then this “seed virus” is given free to private companies that produce millions of doses. ”

“The release of sequences — not the virus itself, but the pattern of nucleotides in its genes, which shows what mutations it has made — is a touchy subject because some scientists try to keep the data secret until they can publish scientific papers.”

Barnes & Noble, Larry Sinclair book, Barack Obama and Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies and Murder?, Negative reviews, Barnes and Noble bias, Reviews rigged, Obama thugs, Obama camp, Boycott Barnes & Noble

** Update Below **

I have been shopping at Barnes & Noble for many years. I have
a Barnes & Noble card and I use it regularly. Recently I noticed
on the Barnes & Noble internet site that they were allowing
“reviews”, actually Obama camp attacks and smears about Larry
Sinclair’s book, “Barack Obama and Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex,
Lies and Murder?” Since I have covered the Larry Sinclair story
more than any other source and have witnessed first hand the
constant ongoing attacks against Larry Sinclair and anyone
questioning the “messiah”, Obama, I decided to counteract these
lies with the truth about Larry Sinclair. I posted the following
comment.

Posted 03/16/09: From November 23, 2008 article: Larry Sinclair is publishing a book about his encounter with Obama in 1999 and the bigger story of his experience trying to get Obama to be held accountable and making the public aware. This is an incredible story that I have watched play out from a front row seat to my astonishment and disbelief. Up to this point in my life, I have only read about experiences like this happening in other countries. However, despite this all appearing surreal, it did indeed happen. As soon as Larry Sinclair produced his YouTube video, he received personal attacks and death threats on his person and family, website attacks and eventual incarceration in Delaware. This did not happen in the Soviet Union, Kenya or South America. This happened in America. I have followed, researched and written about the Larry Sinclair story probably more than any other source. I can state with authority that Larry Sinclair could not have made up this story. I hope to write a book in the near future and will elaborate on that and cover the other stories I have been associated with. However, only Larry Sinclair can tell his story. Here is a quick statement that I sent to Larry recently for possible inclusion in his book: “The Larry Sinclair story was the catalyst for me and many others to begin questioning the character and background of Barack Obama, a candidate that most of us knew little about. Mr. Sinclair’s allegations appeared preposterous at first but captured my curiousity. I began by examining the Official Illinois State Senate records for the period of November 3-8, 1999. I discovered that Obama was missing on November 4, 1999. I thought, “interesting.” I then read the transcripts from the Tim Russert, Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times. All three interviews asked Obama about his records during his tenure in the Illinois Senate. Obama was consistently vague and evasive in his answers. This piqued my curiousity more. One thing led to another and within a few days I knew that we had a problem with Obama. I had reached the point of no return and could not in good conscience abandon my efforts. I continued to follow the Larry Sinclair story and watched it play out in detail. I got to know Larry and we achieved a level of mutual trust that soon became a precious commodity. The Larry Sinclair story evolved into at least four large separate stories: 1. The initial encounter with Obama in 1999. 2. The Donald Young controversy. 3. The attacks made on Larry Sinclair, those following his story and anyone questioning the “messiah” Obama. 4. The changing and withholding of internet information and attempts to prevent Larry Sinclair and others from reporting the truth. I have come to know Larry Sinclair as a person and not just a story. I admire Larry for his persistence in the face of incredible odds, his integrity and his patriotism. If you want to know more about the real Barack Obama and what really happened during the 2008 election. If you want to read a book about real events that are so surreal they appear as fiction, order a copy of Larry Sinclair’s book here.”

Today I noticed my comment was not there. All
of the Obama camp smears were left there and
only one positive comment remained.
This is what I saw:

“There is no book to review! Just a scam

Posted March 9, 2009, 1:16 PM EST: Larry Sinclair is an ex-con and a well documented liar, This book is just another scam to make some fast cash, The Book originally was suppose to be in print over a month ago! Save your hard earned cash! He is a very sick and deranged individual just visit his website! He was first arrested on a larceny charge in 1981 in Denver, according to his Colorado arrest record, as filed in federal court. In 1985, he was convicted of theft and of forging a check in Florida, and sentenced to a year in jail, according to Florida records filed in federal court. After the Florida episode, according to the records, he returned to Colorado, where he faced check fraud and credit card charges in 1986. Then, in 1987, he was convicted in Colorado on more serious forgery charges, and sentenced to 16 years in jail. In prison, according to state records filed in federal court, Sinclair was disciplined 97 times for infractions including assault, threats, drug possession, intimidation, and verbal abuse, most recently in 1996. “He has not institutionalized well,” a spokeswoman for the Colorado Department of Corrections, Liz McDonough, told the Denver Post in 1996 after a month-long Sinclair hunger strike. She said he had served time in prisons in Buena Vista, Delta, Limon and Canon City before being transferred to the state’s maximum security penitentiary in 1993. In the summer of 1996, according to Colorado’s state court database, he began proceedings to formally change his name from LA Rye Viz. Avila to Larry Wayne Sinclair. By 1999, according to a mention in a local newspaper, he was out of jail and living in Pueblo, Colo. The Public Citizen investigator in Colorado stated that Sinclair’s outstanding legal troubles there appear to date from 2001, and that Sinclair’s effort to convince the judge in 2004 to dismiss those charges failed. The Pueblo County Sheriff’s website, which pictures Sinclair under the word “Wanted,” cites felony theft and forgery charges. Sinclair was also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct in South Carolina last September, according to state records filed in federal court.”

Posted March 8, 2009, 9:19 PM EST: On the author’s blog, I have read several excerpts and all chapter titles from this libelous screed that the author, whose writing rarely rises to the level of amateur, announced plans to have printed by a vanity press. Lawrence Sinclair’s lurid tale of his supposed brief encounters with the now-president occupies only a small fraction of the book. The rest is free-form paranoia, as Sinclair grandiosely blames prominent people and institutions for persecuting him and causing his story to be ignored by the mainstream media for over a year. Readers in search of either sleazy fiction masquerading as nonfiction or a glimpse into the mind of a whining, manipulative sociopath would be well advised to skip these ravings of a career criminal (currently wanted on a felony charge in Colorado) and keep looking. This book (assuming that it is eventually printed, after numerous postponements) fails to satisfy on any level.”

Worth the Price I Paid!

Posted March 7, 2009, 3:49 PM EST: This debut novella from the author is part autobiography, part pornographic fiction. In this book, Sinclair discusses his early life and criminal enterprises which lands him in prison for years. After release, he continues on his criminal path by running drugs across the country for gangs and helping smuggle undocumented aliens into America. It’s during this period that the authors imagination comes to light as he writes of a bizarre chance meeting that includes drugs and gay sex. Frustrated with the “truth” he knows of a presidential candidate, Sinclair embarks on a crusade to save the country. After receiving no satisfaction from the candidate or the mainstream media, the author makes a YouTube video of his claims. He is offered a large sum of money to take a lie detector test, which Mr. Sinclair fails. Lacking any proof of his fantastic claims, Sinclair trudges on trying to spread the word and “make noise!” He is blocked at every turn by powerful politicians, the media, law enforcement, and a ruthless band of “Obots”(Obama paid bloggers). After a year of fighting, Sinclair was unable to stop the Obama-machine election victory and subsequent inauguration. Sinclair received tens of thousands in donations and payments over the year, while still collecting government SSI disability payments. Now, in one last effort to cash-in, Sinclair, who claims he is unable to work a job, has written a book and plans a cross-country book signing tour to promote it. Although still wanted in Colorado on a felony warrant for theft, Mr. Sinclair continues to claim he has paid his debt to society. This book, which is filled with distorted facts and outright libelous content, I cannot recommend for the simple reason that your money will go into the hands of a wanted career criminal. Or, as Keith Olbermann has referred to Mr. Sinclair, “a character assassin.””

Posted March 18, 2009, 2:19 AM EST: I was amused to see several book reviews for a book that hasn’t been published yet (I am writing this “review” on the 17th of March, 2009). This. then, is not a review of Sinclair’s book but it is a review about Mr. Larry Sinclair. I have followed his story since he first put a video on You Tube over a year ago. I have also seen his web site (WordPress) and his current one (http://larrysinclair-0926.blogspot.com/). If there is one thing that impresses me about Mr. Sinclair it is his consistency in dealing with the ‘facts’ of his story. He hasn’t wavered a bit in relating those ‘facts’ as he says he knows them. Many people who will read his book will cringe at his graphic discription pertaining to the subject matter. They will also judge Mr. Sinclair harshly, especially if they are fundamentalist religionists because of his life-style: This being said, if what he says is true then those same people who would judge him harshly must also, in the final analysis, jusdge the current President of the United States of America with that same judgment (and even more harshly) because you will read things alleged about Mr. Barack Hussein Obama that will turn your stomach in-side-out. I have pre-ordered a copy of Mr. Sinclair’s book for two reasons: 1) I believe what he alleges has a ring of truth concerning Mr. Obama and 2) this book will be a collector’s item no matter what the fall-out might be as a result of its publication. –jws”

“Author has already described the book’s contents thoroughly: lie after lie

Rating

Posted March 19, 2009, 2:21 PM EST: Those who have read the author’s website are already quite familiar with the contents of this book. It should be clear to any reader capable of critical thinking that Sinclair presents absolutely no credible evidence for his various melodramatic claims, and usually no evidence at all. Although he devotes a portion of the book to his early years as a criminal, he declines to take responsibility for the charges of felonious theft, fraud, or deceit that have repeatedly put him on the wrong side of the law right up through the present day. If this book ever makes it to publication, after several months’ delay, I will consider it just another one of his cons. Let the buyer beware.”

I am not accusing Barnes & Noble of anything yet, but it does look
very suspicious. I intend to get a straight answer from them. If
I do not. I will cancel my Barnes & Noble card and take my business
elsewhere. I will also encourage others to do likewise. I have
watched the Obama camp bring this country to a state not unlike

“Barnes & Noble Outraged Over Tampering of Store Display in Coral Gables, Florida

New York, New York – March 6, 2009 – Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world’s largest bookseller, announced today
that it is the victim of a malicious act.  The company is outraged over the tampering of a store display in its Coral
Gables, Florida store by a customer who placed an inappropriate title in the center of its Presidential display.
Barnes & Noble believes the incident occurred two weeks ago when a customer took a book from another part of the store
entitled Monkeys: A Captivating Look at These Fascinating Animals, placed it in the window display and then
photographed the altered display.  When Barnes & Noble discovered the book in the display it immediately removed it.
Since then, the photograph has been widely distributed via email and over the Internet falsely claiming that Barnes &
Noble actually placed the book in the display.”

Please read the article I posted regarding Larry Sinclair’s treatment on your website.
I will post your response if you desire.

“Winston dialed “back numbers” on the telescreen and called
for the appropriate issues of the Times, which slid out of
the pneumatic tube after only a few minutes’ delay.  The
messages he had received referred to articles or news items
which for one reason or another it was thought necessary to
alter, or, as the official phrase had it, to rectify.  For
example, it appeared from the Times of the seventeenth of
March that Big Brother, in his speech of the previous day,
had predicted that the South Indian front would remain quiet
but that a Eurasian offensive would shortly be launched in
North Africa.  As it happened, the Eurasian Higher Command
had launched its offensive in South India and left North
Africa alone.  It was therefore necessary to rewrite a
paragraph of Big Brother’s speech in such a way as to make
him predict the thing that had actually happened.”

George Orwell…”1984″

Recently, the Citizen Wells blog reported on the Washington
Post rewriting an article to remove potentially damaging
content about Obama and his technology czar, Vivek Kundra.

Citizen Wells article

Dr. Orly Taitz, on Friday, March 13, 2009, confronted Chief
Justice John Roberts after a speech he gave at the University
of Idaho. Read this exerpt from an AP reporter that was
published on the Seattle Post-Intelligencer website.

“At one point during the audience question period, Orly Taitz,
a woman from Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., said she had

documents proving that President Obama was not born in the
United States and thus could not be president. While audience
members laughed, she said she had half a million signatures
of people demanding the Supreme Court hear the matter.

Roberts cut her off by saying that if she had documents with
her, she should give them to security officers. He also said
he could not discuss the issue.

Earlier this month, a federal judge in Washington, D.C., threw
out a lawsuit questioning Obama’s citizenship, branding the
case a waste of the court’s time.”

Read the entire article:

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/6420ap_id_roberts_idaho.html

Next read the Dr. Orly Taitz rendition:
“Yesterday I traveled to Idaho. I was able to address Chief
Justice Roberts during the question answer session after his
lecture. There were numerous cameras recording this event and
simultaneous feed broadcast to all the campuses of the
University of Idaho. Roughly 5,000 people in all the campuses
had an opportunity to hear what I had to say, it is in video
archives and now everybody knows the truth and knows that leftist
media thugs  such as Seattle Washington Observer shamelessly
twist the truth to fit their Pro Obama blind idiot agenda.”

“It was a grueling day, I left home at 3 in the morning after
sleeping only 3 hours and drove to San Diego, from there flew
to Salt Lake City, from there to Spokane, Washington, from there
I drove for a couple of hours to be in Moscow Idaho, to address
Chief Justice Roberts. After the lecture the audience was told,
that they can ask questions, give their name and present a shot
question. I was the first to run to the microphone and told
Roberts. ” My name is Orly Taitz, I am an attorney from Southern
California. I left home at three o’clock in the morning and flew
and drove thousands of miles to talk to you and ask you a
question”. Roberts seemed to be impressed by that and I continued.
“Are you aware that there is criminal activity going on in the
Supreme Court of the United States. I have submitted my case
Lightfoot v Bowen to you. You agreed to hear it in the conference
of all 9 Justices on January 23. Your clerk, Danny Bickle, on his
own accord refused to forward to you an important supplemental
brief, he has hidden it from you and refused to post it on the
docket. Additionally, my case was erased from the docket,
completely erased one day after the inauguration, only two days
before it was supposed to be heard in the conference. Outraged
citizens had to call and demand for it to be posted. On Monday
I saw Justice Scalia and he had absolutely no knowledge of my
case, that was supposedly heard in conference on January 23rd.
It is inexplicable, particularly knowing that roughly half a
million American citizens have written to him and to you Justice
Roberts demanding that you hear this issue of eligibility of
Barack Hussein Obama aka Barry Soetoro to be the President of
the United States.” At that point I have shown to Roberts
a stack of papers, that I held. Those were my pleadings and
printouts that I got from WorldNetDaily. It contained your
names, names of about 350,000 that signed the petition. (there
were others that have written individual letters,) . Roberts
stated  “I will read your documents, I will review them. Give
them to my Secret Service Agent and I will review them”. His
Secret Service Agent approached me and stated ” Give me all the
documents, I promise you Justice Roberts will get them”. I had a
full suitcase of documents. The agent went to look for a box, he
found a large box to fit all the documents, he showed me his badge,
and introduced himself as Gilbert Shaw, secret Service Agent
assigned to the security of Chief Justice Roberts.”

Now listen to the audio:

http://www.spokesman.com/audio/2009/mar/15/roberts-question/

Now reread the reporter’s version above and consider the
following:

  • “Orly Taitz, a woman from Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.”
No mention that she is an attorney.
  • No mention of the main object of her plea, clerk, Danny Bickle,
criminal activity at the US Supreme Court or her conversation
    with Justice Scalia.
  • No mention that Justice Roberts said that he would review the
    documents.
  • Including the following statement to further attempt to discredit
Dr. Taitz. “Earlier this month, a federal judge in Washington,
D.C., threw out a lawsuit questioning Obama’s citizenship,
branding the case a waste of the court’s time.””
  • The reporter portrayed Orly Taitz’ encounter with Chief Justice
Roberts in the most negative manner.

Whether or not you agree with Dr. Orly Taitz’ methodology she
should be respected for her gumption and her resolve. She has
experienced totalitarian regimes of the former soviet bloc and
loves this country. I have spoken with her at length and her
concern comes through in her voice.

God bless Dr. Orly Taitz.

If you are still not convinced we are experiencing a world that
closely resembles “1984”, you had better wake up.

I would like to thank the Washington Post for providing an
excellent example and the readers of this blog for alerting
me to this Orwellian example of revisionist history straight
out of “1984.”

If you have not read “1984” by George Orwell, our present
times and conditions make it a must read for survival.

Yesterday, the Citizen Wells blog presented a second article on
the arrest of 2 individuals in the Washington DC office
that was headed by Obama’s technology czar, Vivek Kundra, as
recently as a few days ago. This article came from a Washington
Post article dated March 13, 2009. Last night Citizen Wells
was notified that the Washington Post article had been changed.

After some investigating, it was discovered that the whole
nature of the article had been changed. Consider the
following:

The citizen Wells article dated March 13, 2009 revealed several
aspects of the Washington Post article that are potentially
damaging to Barack Obama.

“Obama Official Placed on Leave”

“Vivek Kundra, who was tapped as the White House technology czar
March 5, oversaw technology projects and budgets for 86 D.C.
government agencies as head of the District’s Office of the Chief
Technology Officer.”

“Yusuf Acar, 40, who has worked in the technology office since
2004, was charged with bribery, conspiracy, money laundering and
conflict of interest.”

“FBI agents carted away boxes and envelopes from the Office of
the Chief Technology Officer throughout the day.”

“Acar also told the informant that he could use computers to
create fake D.C. birth certificates, Hibarger said.”

“The scam began unraveling in March last year”

“The informant approached the FBI and began wearing a hidden
recording device and secretly recording phone conversations
involving Acar and Bansal.”

Here is the Washington Post article that has been completely
rewritten. It is located at the same link in the Citizen Wells
article dated March 13, 2009. Notice that the header has nothing
about Obama:

“D.C. Technology Office Scandal Revives Questions of Cronyism

By David Nakamura
Washington Post Staff Writer
Saturday, March 14, 2009; Page B01

Last summer, Vivek Kundra, then the D.C. government’s chief technology officer, introduced a massive overhaul of the way

his agency hired about 300 consultants.
Responding to vendors’ complaints that the contracting process was unfair and rife with cronyism, Kundra received $75

million from the D.C. Council to create the Information Technology Staff Augmentation program to foster greater

transparency and accountability. Kundra hired a company to help the city weed out unqualified résumés, established a

central online database to advertise contracts and disclose who won each one, and posted video solicitations for jobs

online. The ITSA program, he told council members during an oversight hearing in August, was a more open and more fair

way of doing business in the District.

But this week, the technology agency was rocked by a bribery scandal that brought the allegations of cronyism back into

full view and raised questions among consultants about whether anything has changed. Federal authorities have alleged

that Yusuf Acar, a manager in charge of information security, conspired with a contractor named Sushil Bansal to bilk

the city of money in a scheme that involved “ghost” workers and kickbacks. Both men have been arrested.

Questions submitted to Mayor Adrian M. Fenty’s office about the technology office’s contracting process, including

whether the hiring decisions by project managers were reviewed by higher-ranking authorities, were not answered

yesterday. Kundra, who left the technology office last month after President Obama appointed him the nation’s chief

information officer, has not been identified as a suspect in the D.C. case. He has been placed on administrative leave

pending the outcome of the federal investigation and declined to comment.

“We have to find the right balance and find the right checks and balances,” said council member Mary M. Cheh (D-Ward 3),

who recently took over the committee that oversees the technology office.

City Administrator Dan Tangherlini said the scheme that Acar and Bansal are accused of running predates the

implementation of ITSA in October.

Consultants who work with the technology office said yesterday that the bribery allegations emphasize their long-

standing complaints that the agency lacks sufficient oversight to ensure that contracts are awarded fairly. They

described a system in which project managers have virtually unabridged authority to issue “purchase orders” for

consultants and then decide which ones receive the contracts.

Furthermore, they said, some managers making the hiring decisions used to work for the consulting companies that are

making bids, and some of the consultants once worked as full-time city employees. Bansal worked for the city before

founding Advanced Integrated Technologies about six years ago.

“How can we even trust these people anymore?” asked Laurie Collins, owner of a small information technology consulting

firm that has worked with the city. Collins and other consultants complained that a group of fewer than 10 firms win a

disproportionate bulk of contracts, even though the city has 97 registered technology vendors.

Bansal’s firm won 14 of the 167 contracts, including two awarded by Acar, issued through ITSA so far.

Under ITSA, the city hired Optimal Solutions and Technologies to oversee the contracting process. That company set up a

Web site to post job openings and solicit résumés. The résumés of qualified candidates are then sent to D.C. project

managers without company affiliations, a tactic aimed at trying to eliminate potential company biases from the managers

making the hiring decisions.

But consultants said it is easy for vendors to sidestep that safeguard by telling the managers ahead of time which

résumés to look for.
Tim Booker, owner of the consulting firm MindFinders, said managers have developed close relationships with specific

vendors and are hesitant or unwilling to award contracts to other firms. Because of that, it is difficult for the city

to ensure that it gets the best value and services for each contract.
“Managers are not willing to break old habits,” he said. “What it requires is leadership and training and oversight.”

Under their alleged scheme, Acar approved contracts for Bansal’s company for the purchase of goods and services. But

Bansal billed the city for some services that were not provided and workers who did not exist, splitting the proceeds

with Acar, according to the affidavit. Bansal’s company has received $13 million in city contracts, including some from

other managers in the technology office and at least one other city agency.

Michael Master, owner of the consulting firm GiniCorp, opposed the implementation of the ITSA program last summer during

a D.C. Council hearing. But yesterday, he said he did not blame the system for failing to stop Acar and Bansal.
“There’s a longtime culture of bending the rules in this city,” Master said. “Whether the process is transparent or not,

which the whole ITSA thing was supposed to be, you can put in all the rules and laws, but bad people will always find a

way to get around it. This just proves that.”

Staff writer Nikita Stewart contributed to this report.”

Charlotte Observer, March 13, 2009, Vivek Kundra, Obama article, Obama technology aide, Obama campaign, FBI raid, Obama Chief Technology Officer Vivek Kundra, Yusuf Acar and Sushil Bansal arrested by FBI

The Charlotte Observer once again proves it’s bias and
irresponsible reporting by hiding negative news about
Barack Obama and providing the most positive spin about
a damaging news story. This comes as no surprise. The
Observer endorsed Obama early in the election year and
provided no coverage of the many corruption ties. A
commenter on this blog has expressed this well:

“Friday, March 13, 09

I Almost missed a very short article buried on page 14a along side giant ads for an end-of- season clearance sale that took 4/5 of the page.
The article was in the CHARLOTTE OBSERVER with an innocent small lead line of “An Aide to President Obama is on leave from his White House Job”.
Normally I would not read anything on page 14a, but this was the most important atricle in this newspaper this morning…..and it was buried without pomp along with the ads.
Of course the article was about VIVEK KUNDRA and his hi-tech computer technology company. The article stated  2 of Kundra’s employees had been arrested in a raid by the FBI in D.C. and were being held without bond. Also found at the home of one who was arrested (Yusuf Acar-sounds like an Arab too me) was over $70,000 in CASH.
What the article DIDN’T say was that KUNDRA ran Obama’s internet operation during his campaign operations! What the article didn’t say was Obama received millions and millions of questionable contribution dollars during his primary and general election campaigns by computer! Also what the article didn’t say was this was an ongoing investigation which went back quite some time! What the article didn’t say was what was OBAMA’s connection to Kundra and this illegal operation! What the article didn’t say was why no bond was granted to the 2 people arrested…were they flight risk?
I think this story has long legs and will fly once the full truth is known.
The big question remains….will “Slick Barry” take his place along side the others involved in this fraud, or will he slide again?
I doubt the OBSERVER will ever print the truth about this matter considering they have already drank the Obama Kool-Aide, but thats ok. The bloggers will cover it fully!”

9/11, September 11, 2008, Financial Terrorist Attack, Financial crisis, Representative Kanjorski, PA, Pennsylvania Democrat, Kanjorski Youtube video, Arlen Williams report, money market accounts, Electronic run on the banks, InvestigatingObama

I was asked to post the following:

ATTACK OCCURED 9/11 – Manufactured Catastrophe: The Cat is Out of the Bag – MarxoFascist War on Our American Freedom & Personal Livelihoods

Update, 2/14: THIS ATTACK UPON OUR ECONOMY OCCURRED ON 9/11/2008
That, according to Rep. Kanjorski of Pennsylvania (D); see video below.

I.O. had written below, “This is WAR UPON AMERICA, much more threatening than 9/11.What are we going to do about it?” We now have a kind of correction to make: This WAS 9/11. Comment to this article:

Anonymous said…
Please listen to the video closely. Kanjorski states that there was a closed meeting of Congress on about the 15th of September. This would be a MONDAY. Then he lets it slip out that the financial meltdown occurred on a Thursday… of the previous week.

This would be THURSDAY – SEPT. 11

Yes, a FINANCIAL TERRORIST ATTACK occurred on Thursday, September 11, 2008, the seventh anniversary of 9/11. And no one is telling us
about it!

God help us!
February 14, 2009 6:16 AM

To this, I will add, as reported yesterday in I.O.:

“We have a once in a generation chance to act boldly, to turn adversity into
opportunity, and use this crisis as a chance to transform our economy for the 21st century.”

– Barack Hussein Obama, 2/12/2009, according to email from grassfire.org

God help us, indeed. This outrageously unreported story will be discussed further on live net-radio this Monday, 2/16, 8pm ET,,, 5pm PT on “The Awakening, with Hanen & Arlen.”

Original post, 2/12/2009, evening:

It’s been published on other site(s) with my blessing [an email I sent, as below, slightly edited] and I hear it may be on its way to Sen. John McCain. Does he care? Feel free to spread it everywhere, too. I suggest that everyone who cares about America email this information, about the Kanjorski confession — to everyone who has an email address that he has or finds, everywhere in the world. Also, faxed, mailed, and otherwise shoved before the faces of everyone within reach.

AMERICA, ARE YOU AWAKE?
HEED WHAT REP. KANJORSKI HAS SAID

Or do you want to live on PLANET FASCIST-SOROS, subsector MARXOFASCIST-OBAMA?

This is about real treason, real economic terrorism, and real mega-tampering into the sacred process of The Sovereign American Citizens’ national election (getting us our illegitimate “president”). And the government/media cover-up is the second sedition.
This is WAR UPON AMERICA, much more threatening than 9/11.
What are we going to do about it?
This is the email I sent out last night, slightly edited.

From: “Arlen Williams”

Americans,

Congress knows. They all know (or should know) and just enough are cooperating to keep it happening. None of them are telling us — except for one, now.

Please read the attached and watch the video. It goes far, far beyond “important news.” After you do, please consider forwarding it to your entire email database — including business and professional contacts. (No apologies from me to my personal business contacts. It is urgent and vital.)

Mushroom management of Sovereign Americans must end NOW. It is time for glasnost in America. Please forgive the understatement of this title:

For more context, on Soros, Obama, and all — also for the obvious solution (along with investigation, prosecution, and a military intervention if necessary): how Barack Obama must rightfully be declared a fictitious “president,” since he is not a natural born Citizen, at http://investigatingobama.blogspot.com/

God save America from these apostate, fascist, self-made illegitimates,
Arlen Williams

PS: Add to this, the huge, consecutive Friday sell-offs into Wall St., during our pre-election “crisis,” well revealed to America at the time by Mike Huckabee — and the public “slips of the tongue” by apparently subversive Senators Charles Schumer and Harry Reid, contributing to the destruction of IndyMac, by Schumer — said to be the catalyst for the entire mortage meltdown — and in Reid’s case, exacerbating the crisis among critical insurance companies. Does it need to get clearer?

If you are not convinced, please stay and do some more reading. The dots connected for you should be enough to relate “probable cause,” fellow Americans.

Have you listened to the words out of this man’s mouth, yet?”

Blagojevich impeachment trial, January 28, 2009, IL governor Blagojevich impeached, Chicago Tribune editorial, Let’s make a deal, Chicago corruption, Pay to play, Illinois Senate, Blagojevich tapes, John Johnston

** Breaking News Below **

First the good news, The Chicago Tribune provided good coverage
of the Tony Rezko trial and actually provided some articles
critical of Obama and Blagojevich.

Now for the bad news.

The Chicago Tribune endorsed Obama and like most of the MSM
participated in slobbering over the “messiah”.

Now for the latest statement from the Tribune that leaves one
in a state of jaw dropping incredulity:

“We don’t know about the members of the Illinois Senate. But
we’ve heard enough.”

Ya think!!!!

The Chicago Tribune, located in, well duh, Chicago, has been well
aware of the corruption that Blagojevich and Obama were enmeshed
in and that is the best they can come with? No wonder readership
of most newspapers is down across the country.

Chicago Tribune editorial dated January 28, 2009:

“Let’s make a deal
January 28, 2009

For several days now, Rod Blagojevich has yodeled the same tune into
every microphone in sight (as opposed to any FBI microphones that
aren’t). You’ve heard his lyrics time and again: I haven’t listened
to the tapes . . . When you hear the whole story . . . The truth will
come out . . . If only I could call witnesses-witnesses-witnesses.

Now we’ve all heard four of the tapes. We’ve heard several elements
of one subplot in this debacle—the governor’s alleged effort to obtain
a contribution in return for signing a bill that would direct a
percentage of casino revenue to the horse-racing industry. More of the
truth now has come out. And we’ve heard one unwitting, unwilling
witness, the governor of Illinois: His voice boomed through the Illinois
Senate chamber Tuesday as senators listened to the recordings.

The tapes don’t sizzle with the melodrama a screenwriter would script.
Stitch these minutes of conversation into an episode of “24” and Jack
Bauer himself would doze off.

These conversations are, though, remarkable: They tug us inside the
dealing by which a governor allegedly agrees to trade an official act
for lucre. We’ll see what the state senators now conducting the
governor’s impeachment trial make of the tapes. To our ears, the
urgency and enthusiasm in the governor’s voice are as disturbing as
his evident desire to trade quid pro quo.”
