Grassroots in Nebraska update, February 10 2010, Meeting February 11, Sovereignty Resolution, Open thread, Larry Sinclair, Government control of health care, Rezko, Blagojevich, John Brennan, MN senate race, Al Franken

Lest we forget.

There is much going on, we are on the road to saving this country from collapse and we must continue to fight to save it. There are many unfinished stories to write and to stay on top of. Here are just a few of them.

John Brennan’s controversial handing of terrorists, his controvesial past and his very suspicious ties to Obama.

The Rod Blagojevich trial, Tony Rezko sentencing and what potentially will be revealed about Obama.

The suspicious MN senate race and seat that Al Franken obtained.

The continuing struggle of Larry Sinclair to keep his story alive and the efforts to silence him.

Aside from the Tony Rezko trial and subsequent indictments of Obama associates such as Rod Blagojevich, Larry Sinclair and his story may have been the single biggest catalyst for many to begin questioning Obama early in 2008. He has not backed down. As many of you know, from the moment that Sinclair came out with his Youtube video in January 2008, he has constantly been attacked and no expense has been spared to shut him down. This is part of a much larger story of the MSM being complicit in hiding Obama’s past. We were not going to let that happen then and now.

I want to thank everybody for their efforts last night to help Larry Sinclair. We are all connected as Americans and as voyagers on this planet. We need each other and I believe one of the lessons of this life is awareness of the plight of others. Mother Teresa certainly exemplified that. Our efforts to save this country also bear this out as well as our efforts to look out for each other. Thanks to all who responded to my plea last night. It is not just about money. Caring, praying for and just doing what you can are what it is all about.

There is a new story that has developed out of the Larry Sinclair struggle. This story reveals what can happen when the government has control of our lives, in this case, Social Security. I have first hand knowledge of this. Just as I was writing this article, I received an email.

“Citizen Wells,  What do you think about a mass petition to US Senators
from Florida with everything that has happened to Larry and demand that his Social Security be reinstated.  I have had a battle royal with them myself, they have stopped and started mine three different due to letters being sent to them from my enemies.  If we could get a petition together including the facts from the beginning and have it hand delivered, I really believe it might make a difference.  They all know this SOB is illegal but want to push it from someone else’s proof.  this might work, especially through the Republican side.  Who Knows???  After all, with Larry’s illness, Obama with his dirty tricks is denying him medical care that will save his life.  Just A thought.  I can’t donate, but I can help push a petition and information of whats going on.”

Anyone out there think that we need to give the US Government control over our health care?

Our friends in Nebraska have been doing their best to fight the bribery of Ben Nelson and prevent the federal government from becoming too powerful. From Grassroots in Nebraska.

SOVEREIGNTY
Senator Tony Fulton’s Sovereignty Resolution has been scheduled for a hearing before the Government, Military, and Veterans Affairs Committee, Friday, February 19 at 1:30pm.
It is currently the first item scheduded to be heard.
**WE NEED AS MANY BODIES AS WE CAN GET AT THAT HEARING –
THINK OF IT AS THE BIGGEST TEA PARTY WE’VE EVER PUT ON**

Linda Rohman and I had a meeting with Senator Fulton on February 1, prior to the hearing being scheduled, to offer what ever support we could in helping the bill to pass. We had a follow-up meeting yesterday to give a progress report on our plans.

Linda has had prior successful experience in coordinating legislative advocacy with the Nebraska Home Educators’ Association. A very restrictive homeschooling bill had been proposed which went no further because NCHEA coordinated testimony and rallied up HUGE attendance at the Education Committee hearing. 1200 homeschoolers descended on the Capitol that day.
*We need THAT kind of support for the Sovereignty Resolution*
Come to the meeting Thursday evening to hear about the effort underway to ensure the passage of the bill.
I will be putting out further details on Friday.

One aspect of these plans is now likely to involve testimony by Oklahoma State Representative Charles Key. Representative Key was the author of the Oklahoma Sovereignty Resolution, which was successfully passed over the OK Governor’s veto in 2009. He is considered a leader in the Sovereignty movement; his bill has been used as a “template” by other states. He has testified before other state’s legislatures, including most recently, Kansas in January.
We will have received additional information about Rep. Key’s ability to come to Lincoln by the Thursday.

In addition to the effort to get people to the hearing, we are planning associated events and we will need many volunteers.
We look forward to seeing you at the meeting. If you are not able to attend but would like to help with the effort, please let us know!
Thank you,
Shelli

Sarah Palin blasts Obama administration policies, Nashville Tea Party convention, Palin take on Obama, 2012, Palin attacks Obama foreign policy, Obama terrorists, Fox News Sunday, Sarah Palin video

Sarah Palin blasts Obama administration policies at Nashville Tea Party convention

From Fox News, February 7, 2010.

“Palin ‘Would Be Willing’ to Take On Obama in 2012”

“Sarah Palin has President Obama in her sights, telling FoxNews.com she “would be willing” to challenge him in the 2012 presidential race.

The former Alaska governor, in an interview Saturday on the sidelines of the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, said President Obama’s “lack of experience” has held him back his first year in office and that she would put her credentials up against his any day.

“I would be willing to if I believe that it’s right for the country,” Palin said when asked if she would run for president in 2012.

She qualified the statement, adding that she sees “many” other potential candidates who are “in as strong or stronger position than I am to take on the White House and if they’re in a better position than I in three years, I’ll support them.”

But the former GOP vice presidential nominee told “Fox News Sunday”: “I won’t close the door that perhaps could be open for me in the future.””

“Palin slammed Obama in her Nashville speech for his foreign and national security policies. And with health care reform on the ropes, she told FoxNews.com it’s time to pull the plug.

“I sure wish that the present tool being used to reform health care would die, but I don’t trust as far as I can throw them some of the people who are saying ok, we’ll slow down,” she said. “What they’re working on today there in Congress and the White House, it needs to die.””

Doug Hoffman, GOP Tea Partiers Must Work Together, McLaughlin & Associates poll, Republicans, Hoffman deserves another chance, Republican ticket and Conservative line

From the National Journal, February 2, 2010.

“Hoffman: GOP, Tea Partiers Must Work Together”

“When Doug Hoffman, running on the Conservative Party line, was narrowly defeated by Democrat Bill Owens for New York’s 23rd Congressional District seat, some might have thought this was a fluke. But after Republican Scott Brown captured the Senate seat in Massachusetts, Hoffman’s near-win has been seen as a momentum-builder for conservatives and the Tea Party movement.”

“While he hasn’t announced his candidacy yet, a McLaughlin & Associates poll released last month showed 74 percent of Republicans in the district agreeing that Hoffman deserves another chance at the seat. NationalJournal.com caught up with Hoffman last week to ask him about his plans for November.
NJ: If you do decide to run, would you be running as a Conservative candidate or vying for the Republican nomination?
Hoffman: I’m going to try to get both of the tickets — the Republican ticket and the Conservative line.
NJ: One activist told me that the Tea Partiers are keeping the GOP “at arm’s length.” Given this attitude, do you think that running under the GOP umbrella might turn off some Tea Party voters or independent voters?
Hoffman: The people that supported me and came out to support me knew that I was a lifelong Republican and knew that I was fighting for the heart and soul of the Republican Party, so I don’t think it will turn it off. I think I can be the catalyst, especially in the 23rd District, to bring the two movements together and work effectively, not only for my campaign but for the other Republicans in the district.
NJ: How would you compare the reception that you’re getting from national Republican Party leaders this time around to that from last election?
Hoffman: 180 degrees. They’re very enthusiastic, receptive, and we’re going to work together to win in 2010.
NJ: Are you making plans to improve your ground game?
Hoffman: If I do make the announcement to run, I am certainly going to tap into the help that I received from the Tea Party organization. Now, I realize that across the country I won’t get the support I had the last time because they’re going to be busy in their own districts, but within my district we have a lot of volunteers that came from the Tea Party movement who are ready, willing and eager to get re-involved in my campaign.
NJ: While a lot of Tea Party groups agree on policy, there is some disagreement on how to meet those goals — whether it is forming their own party or taking over the GOP or just acting as a check on the GOP. What, in your mind, should be the goal of the Tea Party movement?

Hoffman: Well, I don’t think it’s a taking over of the Republican Party, I think it’s bringing them together, to work effectively together to achieve the common goal. … Not everybody running on the Conservative line can get 46 1/2 percent of the votes. In reality, we need to work together to win together.”

Glenn Beck boycott, February 12 2010, Abraham Lincoln birthday, Beck insults Americans Military US Constitution, Charles Kerchner Commander USNR (Retired), Kerchner v Obama

“The greatness of Napoleon, Caesar or Washington is only
moonlight by the sun of Lincoln. His example is universal
and will last thousands of years….He was bigger than his
country—bigger than all the presidents together… and
as a great character he will live as long as the world
lives.”…Leo Tolstoy, 1909

Abraham Lincoln birthday

February 12, 2010

Abraham Lincoln quotes

“Don’t interfere with anything in the Constitution. That
must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our
liberties.”

“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the
courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the
men who pervert the Constitution.”

“Neither let us be slandered from our duty by false accusations
against us, nor frightened from it by menaces of destruction to
the Government nor of dungeons to ourselves. LET US HAVE FAITH
THAT RIGHT MAKES MIGHT, AND IN THAT FAITH, LET US, TO THE END,
DARE TO DO OUR DUTY AS WE UNDERSTAND IT.”

“When the people rise in masses in behalf of the Union and the
liberties of their country, truly may it be said, “The gates of
hell shall not prevail against them.””

Glenn Beck, on his radio show and Fox tv show, while talking about upholding the US Constitution out of one side of his mouth, has insulted concerned Americans, current and retired military personnel and the US Constitution out of the other side of his mouth. Beck has insulted the very people who gave him the high ratings. That is not smart.

Glenn Beck has insulted millions of average Americans exercising their First Amendment rights to question the eligibility of Barack Obama. Even Lou Dobbs while at CNN asked why Obama doesn’t present a legitimate birth certificate.

“Hell hath no fury.” Glenn Beck, you have not only infuriated people like me, you have insulted and infuriated military personnel and high ranking military officers. Charles Kerchner, Commander USNR (Retired), is one of those officers. Charles Kerchner and I have been in regular contact for the better part of a year. He and I have decided to send a clear signal to Glenn Beck that his statements are inaccurate, unprofessional, un American and unacceptable. Therefore, we have decided to initiate a boycott Glenn Beck day. I do so not rejoicing and hoping that Glenn Beck will apologize, open his eyes and pay attention.

February 12, 2010 has been chosen for the boycott of Beck’s radio and Fox TV show. This is Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, the one man alone who probably kept this country from dissolving and one of my true heros.

We are asking you to boycott Glenn Beck’s shows on this day, unless he apologizes and changes his attitude. I sincerely hope that he does. We are also asking that you spread this message far and wide.

The Conservative Monster site has another Glen Beck initiative.

Call Glenn Beck’s radio show – Operation: Natural Born Citizen, Feb. 8th, 2010

Operation: Natural Born Citizen?
  1. On Jan 27th, Beck claimed that Obama was a U.S. Citizen rather than calling him a Natural born citizen on his famous blackboard.
  2. Beck thinks he is slick, playing this word game, so we will play it back with him
  3. I guess his crack head staff does not know the difference between a ‘natural born citizen’ and a U.S. Citizen?

What will you say when the Beck stooges answer the phone?

  1. Inform Beck that the pending lawsuits are over Obama aka Barry Soetoro, NOT being a ‘natural born citizen’.
  2. Tell them that you are sick of Glenn crying on the Constitution, as he protects Obama’s biggest violation against it..his ineligibility
  3. YOU want Glenn and others in the media to testify UNDER OATH about everything they know and was told about by 3rd parties in regards to Obama’s ineligibility issue and keeping it out of the public spotlight.
  4. Let him know that Obama, Soros and the left wing sites on the Internet appreciate his alleged assistance in the eligibility issue cover up.
  5. Let him know that you will NEVER watch his show again…
I am just getting started folks….

Glenn Beck, Citizen Wells red phone challenge, Obama college records, Obama attorneys, Occidental records, Columbia records, Harvard records, Beck insults Americans Military officers US Constitution, Glenn Beck call me on the phone

Why has Obama employed a legion of private and government attorneys to avoid presenting a legitimate birth certificate and college records?…Citizen Wells and millions of concerned Americans

Glenn Beck, et al, the above question is simple to answer, simple enough for a fifth grader. Lou Dobbs, while still at CNN, asked another simple question. Why doesn’t Obama just provide a legitimate birth certificate. However, Glenn Beck, the eligibility issues surrounding Obama appear to be too complex (or controversial) for you. You know, messy stuff like natural born citizen and the US Constitution. So I have decided to just focus on something real simple for you, something you can get your head around. Obama’s college records. That’s not too complex or controversial is it?

Glenn, perhaps even you at one time or another had to prove you attended a school.

Glenn Beck, you inspired me with the red phone you set up to receive calls from the Obama Administration. So I have dedicated a phone to receive calls from you. If anything I write or put in a video is incorrect, please call me anytime and let me know. The follow video, let’s call it a trailer for upcoming shows, presents some information regarding efforts to obtain Obama’s college records. I will be curious to know if you consider the three men referred to in the video as right wing idiots.  One of them is a retired military officer. You have insulted plenty of them in the past, so why not. Heck, you will probably call me an idiot. However, I must warn you, I fight back. I will not back down.

“Unlike Lou Dobbs, who on CNN of all places, asked the basic journalistic question,
why doesn’t Obama present a legitimate birth certificate, Glenn Beck, on his radio
and Fox TV show has insulted millions of concerned Americans. Many of these Americans
are current and retired military and quite a few high ranking officers. Beck often talks
out of one side of his mouth about upholding the US Constitution, while at the same time
insulting Americans exercising their First Amendment rights.

Three concerned Americans, Philip J Berg, a lifelong Democrat, former ambassador Dr. Alan Keyes
and Charles F Kerchner, USNR Commander, all requested Obama’s college records using legal
channels and were opposed by Obama attorneys.

Glenn Beck, if you have any questions or corrections to make about this video, you can call
me on the dedicated phone (Mickey Mouse red phone holding the cell phone).”

Glenn Beck, Citizen Wells challenge to Beck, Beck is a coward, O’Reilly, Fox, Glenn Beck show, Birthers, Glenn Beck insults Americans Military and US Constitution

I have tried my best to like and follow Glenn Beck. He has exposed much of the real Obama and Obama Administration and agenda. That being said, I am damn tired of Glenn Beck insulting concerned Americans, including many in the military who ask questions about Obama’s eligibility. As my mom would say, “he has gotten too big for his britches.”

Apparently Beck has followed in the footsteps of the pontificating, bloviating Bill O’Reilly. It is either that or Fox, heavily influenced by Saudi ownership, has issued an edict to not cover some aspects of Obama.

Glenn Beck, you are a coward. If you have a valid excuse (and I would love to hear it), please provide it.

I hereby challenge Glenn Beck to a duel. That is, a verbal/written exchange. I realize I may be challenging an unarmed opponent. I am armed with the facts and a regard for upholding the US Constitution.

Glenn Beck, if you do not respond, I am going to initiate a campaign to boycott your show.

You have insulted the people who gave you the large audience share. There is no excuse for your behaviour.

Put up or shut up.

James Wilson, US Constitution, Early draft, We the people, Historical Society of Pennsylvania, Lorianne Updike Toler, Philadelphia, summer of 1787, National treasure

From the Philadelphia Inquirer, February 2, 2010.

“Early draft of the Constitution found in Phila.”

“Researcher Lorianne Updike Toler was intrigued by the centuries-old document at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania.

On the back of a treasured draft of the U.S. Constitution was a truncated version of the same document, starting with the familiar words: “We The People. . . .”

They had been scribbled upside down by one of the Constitution’s framers, James Wilson, in the summer of 1787. The cursive continued, then abruptly stopped, as if pages were missing.

A mystery, Toler thought, until she examined other Wilson papers from the Historical Society’s vault in Philadelphia and found what appeared to be the rest of the draft, titled “The Continuation of the Scheme.”

The document – one of 21 million in the Historical Society’s collection – was known to scholars, but probably should have been placed with the other drafts, said constitutional scholar John P. Kaminski, director of the Center for the Study of the American Constitution in the history department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

“This was the kind of moment historians dream about,” said Toler, 30, a lawyer and founding president of the Constitutional Sources Project (www.ConSource.org), a nonprofit organization, based in Washington, that promotes an understanding of and access to U.S. Constitution documents.

“This was national scripture, a piece of our Constitution’s history,” she said of her find in November. “It was difficult to keep my hands from trembling.”

As other researchers “realized what was happening, there was a sort of hushed awe that settled over the reading room,” Toler said. “One of them said the hair on her arms stood on end.”

Two drafts of the Constitution in Wilson’s hand had been separated from his papers long ago. One of them included the beginning of still another draft and was apparently seen as part of a single working version, instead of a separate draft.”

Some quotes from James Wilson

“All men are by nature equal and free. No one has a right to any authority over another without his consent … ”

” … can the mind of a man be serene, when the property, liberty and subsistence of himself…depends on a tyrant’s nod?”

“A good constitution is the greatest blessing which a society can enjoy.”

“Governments, in general, have been the result of force, of fraud, and of accident … the United States exhibit to the world the first instance…of a nation…assembling voluntarily, deliberating fully, and deciding calmly, concerning that system of government, under which they would wish that they and their posterity should live.”

“I view the states as made for the People, as well as by them, and not the People as made for the states … ”

“[The Constitution] is the best form of government which has ever been offered to the world.”

“…the people never part with their power … what part of this system puts it in the power of Congress to attack those rights?”

Scott Brown wins senate race, MA senate seat, Brown defeats Martha Coakley, January 19, 2010, Brown Campaign Could Provide Blueprint for Future GOP Success

Republican Scott Brown has defeated Democrat Martha Coakley to win the MA senate seat held for many years by Ted Kennedy. With 87% of the vote in, Brown leads Coakley 52 to 47%. Even before the election results, it was clear that Scott Brown was doing many things right in his campaign.

From Fox News, January 19, 2010.

“Brown Campaign Could Provide Blueprint for Future GOP Success”

“For GOP candidate Scott Brown to surge in Massachusetts, a state that hasn’t sent a Republican to the Senate since 1972 and is represented entirely by Democrats in Congress, he must have done something right.

And the Republican Party should be taking notes, analysts say, to try to replicate his strategy in races across the country in a year when GOP candidates are thought to be starting out with the upper hand.

Win or lose, the Massachusetts state senator proved that a Republican can be competitive in the bluest of states or districts.

“Every Republican long shot in America — for House seats, Senate seats, gubernatorial contests, is going to shout in unison – Remember Scott Brown,” said Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia Center for Politics.”

“But Brown practiced a certain practical conservatism in his campaign which appealed to voters, not unlike Chris Christie in the race for New Jersey governor and Bob McDonnell in the race for Virginia governor.

By concentrating on fiscal issues and focusing his criticism on the national Obama administration agenda, Republicans said, Brown brought himself to the verge of an upset.

“The lesson I take away from Massachusetts, win or lose, and New Jersey and Virginia prior to that, is there is no penalty to be paid for opposing the Obama agenda,” said GOPAC Chairman Frank Donatelli. “All three of these elections were nationalized.”

He said GOP candidates have to stand for something and they can’t just present themselves as the anti-Obama candidate. But he said Brown achieved this balance — noting that Brown, an Army reservist and seasoned state legislator, hardly came out of nowhere.”

“He said Brown did well by not presenting himself as a Washington Republican. Driving around the state in his pickup truck, Brown referred to himself as a “Scott Brown Republican” in what appeared to be an appeal to independents. Instead of dragging out the party brass to support him, Brown enlisted figures like former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling and actor John Ratzenberger.

“People don’t want lockstep,” Feehery said. “They want independent thought and somebody who’s going to be an independent check on Obama.””

MA senate race, January 19, 2010, Voter turnout high?, Massachsuetts Secretary of State William Galvin, 40 percent of voters, Poll watchers, Voting abuses, WBZ Boston, Be Our Eyes & Ears

From WBZ Boston, January 19, 2010.

“Voter Turnout May Be High For Brown-Coakley Race”

“Voter turnout is expected to be high Tuesday for the special election to fill the state’s vacant U.S. Senate seat.

A win by Republican Scott Brown over one-time front-runner Martha Coakley would eliminate Democrats’ 60-seat supermajority in the Senate and likely kill President Obama’s overhaul of health care.

The last time Massachusetts elected a Republican to the U.S. Senate was 1972.

Democrats outnumber Republicans in the Commonwealth, 3-1.

If Coakley wins, she would be the first woman elected to the Senate from Massachusetts.”

“TURNOUT EXPECTED TO BE HIGH

Massachsuetts Secretary of State William Galvin told WBZ he expects about 40-percent of voters to turn out for the special election.

Galvin said about 800,000 came out for the primaries and he believes that should double to 1.6 million based on the intense interest in this campaign.

Weather could be a factor.”

WBZ  TV Boston is asking those voting to provide feedback.

“Help be our eyes and ears at the polls. We’re not asking who you voted for… but we ARE interested in:

What was it like at your polling place? Were there lines, or not a soul in sight? How about campaign supporters? Lots of people with signs (for which candidates), or none at all?  What was the buzz of voters? Turned off by negative ads and robocalls?”

Scott Brown, January 18, 2010, Republican Scott Brown is surfing a wave of voter frustration with Barack Obama, Washington lies, Not Kennedy seat, Not Democrat seat, Lower your taxes and bring common sense back to Washington

From Fox News January 18, 2010.

“GOP Hopeful Riding Voter Anger in Kennedy Seat Bid”

“BOSTON — Republican Scott Brown is surfing a wave of voter frustration with President Barack Obama that has helped propel the once low-profile Massachusetts state senator from long shot to contender in the race to fill the Senate seat left vacant by Edward Kennedy’s death.

Brown’s meteoric rise caught nearly everyone off-guard, particularly Democratic Party leaders who assumed their candidate, state Attorney General Martha Coakley, would have a cakewalk to the U.S. Capitol after winning a four-way primary in November.

They hadn’t counted on voters like Luis Rodriguez.

The 46-year-old plastics factory supervisor, who emigrated to the U.S. in 1988 from Uruguay and became a citizen last year, said he’s fed up with what he calls the lies told by Washington. It’s enough for him that Coakley supports Obama, who Rodriguez says has failed to make good on his pledge for openness.

“We don’t buy what we can’t afford. We don’t spend what we don’t have,” said Rodriguez, echoing the anger expressed by other voters who say Democrats are too eager to bail out bankers and people who bought homes they couldn’t afford. “These people, what they’re doing now, they’re spending money they don’t have so they can get elected again.”

Despite the Bay State’s liberal reputation, some Massachusetts voters are also chafing at the idea that just because the Senate seat had been held by Kennedy for 47 years, it should automatically go to a Democratic successor.”

“”It’s socialism. It starts with health care. It starts with the government bailouts,” said Johnson, 43, who’s retired from the military. “I work for a living and I see more and more of my money going to people who sit home and don’t do it. I’m all for helping people out, but I like keeping what I earn.”

In addition to showing a dead heat between Brown and Coakley, a Suffolk University poll last week of 500 likely voters also revealed unhappiness with Massachusetts’ landmark health care law, which has been used in part as the blueprint for the national health care overhaul. Close to two-thirds of those polled said the state cannot afford the health care system.”
