NPR Seth Rich lies continue despite being sued for same, Oct 7, 2020 report on Twitter subpoena in Rich v Butowsky, Preemptive strike as truth emerges?

“Butowsky follows the lead, speaks five days after Trump’s inauguration with the legendary investigative reporter Seymour Hersh by phone. Butowsky says he doesn’t know who Hersh is and records the conversation, which he later shares with others. And the audio recording obtained by NPR shows Hersh referring to an insider source who describes an FBI report reflecting that Rich had leaked information to WikiLeaks.”...NPR

“Ms. Sines’s testimony flatly contradicts the FBI’s claims that (1) it did not investigate matters pertaining to Mr. Rich; (2) it did not examine his computer; and (3) it conducted a “reasonable” search but could not locate any records or communications about Mr. Rich. Specifically, Ms. Sines’s testimony flatly contradicts the affidavit testimony of FBI Section Chief David M. Hardy.”…Attorney Ty Clevenger March 29, 2020

” So why would a “street robbery” investigation need to be classified?”…Attorney Ty Clevenger July 22, 2020

NPR is on very thin ice.

The NPR report on the order to require Twitter to respond to the subpoena from Aaron Rich in Rich v Butowsky contains lies.

They are currently defendants in Folkenflik, NPR, et al due to allegations of lying about the Seth Rich case and reporting.

They did change the reporter to Bobby Allyn.

Why would NPR use some of the same lies as before when they are currently being sued?

Best guess: Due to recent revelations such as the Seymour Hersh deposition October 2, 2020 in Rich v Butowsky and continued Justice Dept. revelations, NPR may be getting desperate to cover their tracks and this may be a preemptive strike.

Or maybe they are clueless and believe the fake news.

“Judge Orders Twitter To Unmask FBI Impersonator Who Set Off Seth Rich Conspiracy

A federal judge in California has ordered that Twitter reveal the identity of an anonymous user who allegedly fabricated an FBI document to spread a conspiracy theory about the killing of Seth Rich, the Democratic National Committee staffer who died in 2016.

The ruling could lead to the identification of the person behind the Twitter name @whyspertech. Through that account, the user allegedly provided forged FBI materials to Fox News. The documents falsely linked Rich’s killing to the WikiLeaks hack of Democratic Party emails in the lead-up to the 2016 election.

While Twitter fought to keep the user’s identity secret, U.S. Magistrate Judge Donna Ryu in Oakland, Calif., ordered on Tuesday that the tech company must turn over the information to attorneys representing Rich’s family in a defamation suit by Oct. 20.

It is the latest twist in a years-long saga over a conspiracy theory that rocked Washington, caused a grieving family a great deal of pain and set off multiple legal battles.

In a now-retracted story, Fox News falsely claimed that Rich’s computer was connected to the leak of Democratic Party emails provided to WikiLeaks, and that Rich’s slaying was related to the purported leak. The theory was even debunked in special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.”

“Disclosure: NPR is involved in one of the legal battles tied to the Seth Rich controversy. Ed Butowsky has filed a defamation suit against NPR and NPR media correspondent David Folkenflik over the network’s coverage of the Fox News story on Rich that has since been retracted.”

I personally believe the focus on Twitter @whysprtech is a diversion and mostly irrelevant.

For simplicity sake, the following paragrah is featured:

“In a now-retracted story, Fox News falsely claimed that Rich’s computer was connected to the leak of Democratic Party emails provided to WikiLeaks, and that Rich’s slaying was related to the purported leak. The theory was even debunked in special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.”

In this one paragraph we have.

  1. Fox News falsely claimed that Rich’s computer was connected to the leak of Democratic Party emails provided to WikiLeaks. That has not been proven false and there is a mountain of evidence that it may be true.
  2. Rich’s slaying was related to the purported leak. That has not been proven or disproven.
  3. The theory was even debunked in special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.” Mueller’s report has been debunked, not the theory.

NPR looks desperate to me.

It is foolish to continue their fake news narrative in the midst of their being sued.

Garrison Keillor lies about talk radio, Glenn Beck reveals Obama Obamacare lies, NPR too liberal a shame, Talk radio Limbaugh Hannity Beck et al source of truth, A Prairie Home Companion bias is sad

“I hate being the guy telling you the President of the United States is a liar. I hate it. I hate it. I don’t want to be this guy, but nobody else will say it.”…Glenn Beck March 20, 2015

“Glenn Beck, I do not like being the person that calls Obama or Yellen a liar either but somebody has got to do it.”…Citizen Wells

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”…Jesus, John 8:32

I have listened to NPR for many years during a time when I also listened to Rush Limbaugh.

Sadly NPR has bceome increasingly biased to the left over the years.

My favorite show on NPR is still “Car Talk.”

I have never heard them get politically biased.

I have also listened to “A Prairie Home Companion” for many years. But the host, Garrison Keillor is obviously a liberal and the show from time to time lets its bias ruin an otherwise entertaining show.

Today was one of those days.

I was listening in the car as Keillor stated “Talk radio, where people get paid to tell lies.”

That is a lie and Keillor is getting paid to tell it.

There is talk radio and there is talk radio. Obviously all hosts do not have the same credibility.

However, I can state unequivocally, that talk radio as a whole is one of the few places in the media where the truth can be found.

I regularly tune in to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck.

I usually agree with Beck but on Friday, March 20, 2015, he was particularly on point and one of his statements really resonated with me.

From Glenn Beck March 20, 2015.

“There’s a reason Glenn doesn’t like to spend too much time playing audio from President Obama. In fact, he banned his name from even being mentioned on the radio show for all of 2013. Today, Pat put together a montage of some of Obama’s biggest lies – and Glenn could barely contain his outrage. “Nobody wants to believe the President of the United States is a liar. Nobody. It doesn’t work out well. No one wants to say that about the president. I don’t want to say it, I don’t want to believe it. I love this country. I have immense respect for the office of the President of the United States, not the men, but the office. But this is a fact. And it is an unpleasant one. Most of the press completely ignores it, but it is a fact, and the proof is readily available for anybody who cares to look,” Glenn said on radio today. Glenn then ran through a litany of lies that Obama has told. Here are just a few: Lie: The Affordable Care Act isn’t a gateway to single-payer. President Obama said, “Let me address an illegitimate concern that’s being put forward by those who are claiming a public option is somehow a Trojan horse for a single payer system.” The Truth: President Obama has said in the past “A single payer health care credit–universal healthcare credit. That’s what I’d like to see, but as all of you know, we may not get there immediately. Because first we have to take back the White House and we’ve got to take back the Senate and we’ve got to take back the House.” Lie: The healthcare mandate isn’t a tax. President Obama said, “For us to say that you’ve got to take a responsibility to get health insurance is absolutely not a tax increase.”

The Truth: In order for SCOTUS to uphold the individual mandate, it had to be declared a tax. Lie: If you like you’re healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan. The Truth: Nope, millions couldn’t keep it. Turns out there was an assumption that people wouldn’t be happy with their plan. As Glenn put it, “The responsibility for the lie is us. We liked our doctors and we shouldn’t have liked them. We are stupid, and therefore, we need to be lied to.” Lie: Obamacare would be revenue-neutral and only cost $900 billion. The Truth: Again, no. “Well, after his $900 billion promise, the next year cost was adjusted to $1.4 trillion. The next year, $1.7 trillion. The next year, again to $2 trillion. The next year it was $2.3. The latest, $2.6 trillion. How much do you love it now?” Glenn said. Lie: It was supposed to insure all 48 million without insurance. The Truth: “ObamaCare was supposed to insure all 48 million Americans who were without insurance. That was the compassionate thing to do. Even their most wildly ridiculous claims are that 9 million have been insured. $2.6 trillion for 9 million people. We still have 39 million people uninsured. Is that better than you predicted? I could go on,” Glenn said. “There are literally hundreds of lies we could highlight from this man, but my doctor says I have too much Obama for my blood pressure,” Glenn said. “I hate being the guy telling you the President of the United States is a liar. I hate it. I hate it. I don’t want to be this guy, but nobody else will say it.””

NPR has proven its bias in support of Obama over and over again.

The question is, how stupid and/or Obama biased can one be?

These people have children and families.

Do they not care?

Is their political ideology so strong that it trumps human decency?

From NPR October 9, 2014.

“4 Things We’ve Learned About Enterovirus D68, And 1 Mystery”

“On Aug. 15, doctors and nurses at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., realized they had a problem.

Children were coming into the emergency room with an illness that caused wheezing and breathing problems so severe that some children ended up in the ICU on ventilators. And it was spreading fast.

“By Aug. 20, we were beyond our bed capacity,” Dr. Mary Anne Jackson, chief of the infectious diseases section at Children’s Mercy, said at the IDWeek meeting in Philadelphia.

Since then, the virus that caused those illnesses, enterovirus D68, has sickened children across the country and may be responsible for the deaths of five children. Jackson and Dr. Aaron Milstone of Johns Hopkins Children’s Centers briefed reporters on the outbreak Thursday morning.

Bottom line: There are still a lot more questions than answers about the outbreak and how the virus might affect children’s health in the future, but we’re learning. Here’s what infectious disease specialists have found out to date.

This is the largest outbreak of EV-D68 ever recorded. Cases have been reported in 45 states and the District of Columbia. Though the CDC has confirmed 664 cases as of Wednesday, there are undoubtedly many, many more cases that are causing milder coldlike illnesses. “This is different this year, what we’re seeing,” Milstone said. “Something is different.”

So far it’s impossible to know what’s making it different, Milstone says — if the virus has changed so it’s more dangerous or if it’s spreading so much more widely that we’re seeing more cases, both mild and severe.”

What’s different?

Obama has allowed thousands of illegal alien children from Central America to be dispersed throughout the country without first being screened for diseases.

He was warned by numerous health care professionals.

From Citizen Wells September 14, 2014.

“These facts are indisputable.

Numerous health care professionals warned of not screening illegal aliens for diseases.

Obama ignored their warnings.

Enterovirus D68 was not widespread in the US before this year.”

“From AliPac September 4, 2014.
“Three months ago, people like Dr. Jane Orient, myself and anonymous Border Patrol agents began to call for quarantine, for the purpose of health screening all immigrants. Many people laughed and said there was no real threat. The invasion of our country, the very invasion that people said was not real, has just endangered the entire country. We are sitting on the beginning of a series of pandemic outbreaks.

Prominent Health Officials Have Called for Quarantining All Illegal Immigrants for Health Reasons

In June, one of Arizona’s most prominent physicians, Dr. Jane Orient, called for proper health screening as she thought the unbridled and unconditioned entry of illegal immigrants into the country was problematic.

Dr. Austin King, head of the Texas Medical Association, is now calling out Texas Governor Rick Perry and President Barrack Obama to allow doctors to screen all of the unaccompanied children who have been coming across the border from Honduras and El Salvador. The President has remained silent with regard to the request.

Dr. King expressed the view that in order for more doctors to go down to the border, emergency funding would likely need to be approved, and ICE would have to change some policies in order to allow everyone coming across to be screened.

Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet, a prominent preventive medicine physician, who previously served as the former Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, stated that “Legal immigrants are required to pay for medical exams and screening tests conducted by approved physicians before they arrive here. They’re not arriving in the U.S. carrying diseases, and then being dispersed into cities across the nation.” The CDC acknowledges this very fact on their website. Vliet further stated that the CDC’s own guidelines are clearly being violated with regards to the illegal immigrants currently crossing the border.”

“About 20″ cases of a polio-like syndrome have been identified in California children over the past 18 months, a Stanford University researcher says.
Dr. Keith Van Haren, a pediatric neurologist at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, has written a report about five of the early cases.”

“However, some types of enterovirus are more serious. These can cause hand, foot and mouth disease; viral meningitis; encephalitis (inflammation of the brain); an infection of the heart; and paralysis in some patients.”

From Virology Journal October 11, 2013.

“Background

Human rhinoviruses (HRVs) belong to the Picornaviridae family with high similarity to human enteroviruses (HEVs). Limited data is available from Latin America regarding the clinical presentation and strains of these viruses in respiratory disease.

Methods

We collected nasopharyngeal swabs at clinics located in eight Latin American countries from 3,375 subjects aged 25 years or younger who presented with influenza-like illness.

Results

Our subjects had a median age of 3 years and a 1.2:1.0 male:female ratio. HRV was identified in 16% and HEV was identified in 3%. HRVs accounted for a higher frequency of isolates in those of younger age, in particular children < 1 years old. HRV-C accounted for 38% of all HRVs detected. Phylogenetic analysis revealed a high proportion of recombinant strains between HRV-A/HRV-C and between HEV-A/HEV-B. In addition, both EV-D68 and EV-A71 were identified.

Conclusions

In Latin America as in other regions, HRVs and HEVs account for a substantial proportion of respiratory viruses identified in young people with ILI, a finding that provides additional support for the development of pharmaceuticals and vaccines targeting these pathogens.

Background

Acute respiratory infections (ARIs) are a leading cause of acute illness worldwide and remain the most important cause of pediatric mortality”

As you know, there is no vaccine for Enterovirus D68 or Ebola.

More stupidity.

From the Observer July 10, 2014.

“Disease Threat From Immigrant Children Wildly Overstated”

“Before demonizing undocumented children, we should look at the facts: The vast majority of Central Americans are vaccinated against all these diseases. Governments concerned about health, and good parents investing in their kids, have made Central American kids better-vaccinated than Texan kids. We fear them not because they are actually sick, but because of powerful anti-immigration narratives that link foreigners to disease.”

Obama has been blaming Bush for the deficit and bad economy since he began running for the presidency. He continues to blame the Bush Tax cuts for the deficit even though it is a lie. The Washington Post recently exposed this lie.

From Citizen Wells October 8, 2012.

“From the Washington Post October 1, 2012.

“Obama’s claim that the Bush tax cuts led to the economic crisis”

“Now Governor Romney believes that with even bigger tax cuts for the wealthy, and fewer regulations on Wall Street, all of us will prosper. In other words, he’d double down on the same trickle-down policies that led to the crisis in the first place.”

— President Obama, in a new two-minute television ad released Sept. 27, 2012

“This election to me is about which candidate is more likely to return us to full employment. This is a clear choice. The Republican plan is to cut more taxes on upper income people and go back to deregulation. That is what got us into trouble in the first place.”

— Former president Bill Clinton, in an Obama campaign ad running since August

When two different people give virtually the same message in two different ads, it’s a good bet that the language has been carefully poll-tested. Both President Obama and former president Bill Clinton assert that Mitt Romney wants to cut taxes for the wealthy and cut financial regulations — which they suggest is a recipe for another economic crisis.

The name “George W. Bush” is never mentioned but is certainly implied. This leads to the question: Did the Bush tax cuts cause the economic crisis?

We’ve been interested in the Clinton comments for some time and never quite got a satisfactory response from the Obama campaign. But Clinton used the vague word “trouble,” which could be broadly defined as also meaning higher deficits. (Clinton’s staff did not respond to queries about what he meant.) Certainly the Bush tax cuts did play some role in higher deficits, though, as we have noted, increased spending played a bigger role.

But Obama is not vague at all. He highlights the tax cuts and then says the “same trickle-down policies” — Democratic code for tax cuts for the wealthy — led to the “crisis.” The campaign’s back-up material labels that as “economic crisis,” thus leaving no ambiguity about his reference.”

The Pinocchio Test

It is time for the Obama campaign to retire this talking point, no matter how much it seems to resonate with voters. The financial crisis of 2008 stemmed from a variety of complex factors, in particular the bubble in housing prices and the rise of exotic financial instruments. Deregulation was certainly an important factor, but as the government commission concluded, the blame for that lies across administrations, not just in the last Republican one.

In any case, the Bush tax cuts belong at the bottom of the list — if at all. Moreover, it is rather strange for the campaign to cite as its source an article that, according to the author, does not support this assertion.”

https://citizenwells.wordpress.com/2012/10/08/washington-post-and-labor-dept-facts-expose-obama-lies-bush-tax-cuts-employment-data-democrats-controlled-both-houses-of-congress-playbook-of-goebbels-orwell/

Despite the fact that Obama knew it was a lie, Obama continued to blame the Bush Tax cuts in his debate with Mitt Romney.

“When I walked into the Oval Office, I had more than a trillion-dollar deficit greeting me. And we know where it came from: two wars that were paid for on a credit card; two tax cuts that were not paid for”

From NPR and the AP October 12, 2012.

“US Runs A 4th Straight $1 Trillion-Plus Budget Gap”

“The United States has now spent $1 trillion more
than it’s taken in for four straight years.

The Treasury Department confirmed Friday what was widely expected: The
deficit for the just-ended 2012 budget year — the gap between the
government’s tax revenue and its spending — totaled $1.1 trillion. Put
simply, that’s how much the government had to borrow.

It wasn’t quite as ugly as last year.

Tax revenue rose 6.4 percent from 2011 to $2.45 trillion. And spending
fell 1.7 percent to $3.5 trillion. As a result, the deficit shrank 16
percent, or $207 billion.

A stronger economy meant more people had jobs and income that
generated tax revenue. Corporations also contributed more to federal
revenue than in 2011.

The government spent less on Medicaid and on defense as U.S. military
involvement in Iraq was winding down.

Barack Obama’s presidency has coincided with four straight $1
trillion-plus annual budget deficits — the first in history and an
issue in an election campaign that ends in 3½ weeks.

When Obama took office in January 2009, the Congressional Budget
Office forecast that the deficit that year would total $1.2 trillion.
It ended up at a record $1.41 trillion.

The increase was due in large part to the worst recession since the
Great Depression. Tax revenue plummeted, and the government spent more
on stimulus programs.

Tax cuts enacted under President George W. Bush and military spending
in Iraq and Afghanistan contributed to the deficits.”

“As soon as all the corrections which happened to be necessary in any particular number of the Times had been assembled and collated, that number would be reprinted, the original copy destroyed, and the corrected copy placed on the files in it’s stead. From Larry Elder May 10, 2012.

“Elder: Obama-Loving Media Spin the Economy”

“National Public Radio’s Kai Ryssdal recently talked about the weak economy. His guests, two reporters from The Washington Post and The New York Times, acknowledged the obvious — that the economy is underperforming.

Yet, in the 20 minutes of my sitting and listening in the car in bad Los Angeles traffic, I heard no one mention the words “President Barack Obama.”

Time magazine, in a cover story on the economy, called the current economic recovery a “97-pound weakling.” It informs us that our sluggish economy is now driven by broad, virtually uncontrollable worldwide economic trends. Only once in this lengthy article did Time mention Obama — and only to say that Republican presidential challenger Mitt Romney “plans to use the economy as a hammer against President Obama.”

That’s it. The President, Mr. Hope-and-Change, you see, is powerless to do anything about the economy. None of that “the buck stops here” stuff for him.

Investor’s Business Daily writes that our neighbor up north sees things differently: “The Obama administration and its economic czars have flailed about for years, baffled about how to get the U.S. economy growing. In reality, the president need look no further than our neighbor, Canada, whose solid growth is the product of tax cuts, fiscal discipline, free trade and energy development. That’s made Canada a roaring puma nation, while its supposedly more powerful southern neighbor stands on the outside looking in.”

Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said: “Creating jobs and growth in our economy is our top propriety. … We are creating the conditions for businesses to successfully compete in the global economy by investing in Canada and creating jobs and growth for all Canadians. Through our government’s low-tax plan … we are continuing to send the message that Canada is open for business and the best place to invest.”

What about the economies of our 50 states? If Obama is powerless to do anything about the economy, surely the states alone are at least as impotent?

But low-tax states outperform high-tax states. Seven states have no personal income taxes (PIT) — Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming. Two states tax only income on interest and dividends — New Hampshire and Tennessee. The average state and local revenue growth of these nine states from 2000 to 2009 was 81.53 percent.

Average revenue growth in the nine states with the highest PIT rates — Ohio, Maine, Maryland, Vermont, New Jersey, California, Oregon, Hawaii and New York — was 44.88 percent. Similarly, gross state product growth from 2001 to 2010 averaged 58.54 percent in the nine states with no PIT versus 42.06 in the nine states with the highest PIT rates.

Remember, our leftist president once told ABC’s Charlie Gibson that he wants to raise capital gains taxes — even though Obama conceded that historically higher capital taxes lead to less revenue. Then why raise rates at all, asked Gibson. “For purposes of fairness,” said then-Sen. Obama.

This is a president determined to “spread the wealth” to deal with “the gap” between the top 1 percent and the bottom 99 percent. To the Occupy Wall Street protestors, this is a president who said, “You are the reason I ran for office.” This is a president who said, “I do think at some point you’ve made enough money.”

This is a president who blames the Wall Street/housing meltdown on greed. As the see-no-Obama-on-the-economy Time magazine article puts it: “We got into the housing mess because we used our homes like ATMs to cover up the fact that neither incomes nor jobs have grown as much as they should have in the past two decades. It was a myth we all bought into, from the policymakers who pushed the idea of an ownership society fueled by debt to interest-rate-lowering central bankers who kept the music playing to individuals who took the mortgages they knew they couldn’t afford.”

This is the Obama version of events. Greed. Lack of oversight. Government policy had nothing to do with it. Banks just suddenly and for no reason started lending money to people they knew could not afford their mortgages.

Time magazine makes no mention about the central role played by laws like the Community Reinvestment Act. Nothing about the government-built and government-supported behemoths Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, which changed the rules so that “underrepresented” borrowers could buy a home, too. The government told lenders to lend to high-risk borrowers — or else. What, or else? The government actually threatened fines and held up prudent bank mergers if one or both sides did not sufficiently “lend” to borrowers who, under normal circumstances, failed to qualify.

NPR, however, took the pretzel-twisting in defense of Obama to an even higher level. When the disappointing first quarter numbers came in, NPR’s Scott Neuman actually asked this question: “Common sense says high growth rates are good and slower, more modest ones are not so good. But is that always the case? After all, the ‘irrational exuberance’ of the early 2000s helped bring on the recession, as people borrowed and spent their way to prosperity.”

So bad economic news is actually good economic news. Four more years!”

“It is surely true that everyone should have a sense of humor, and, of course, what’s funny to one person is not necessarily funny to someone else. Politicians are mocked, caricatured, and ridiculed all the time. It’s part of America’s history to make fun of our leaders and to bring them down to our level.
But what happens when the so-called “humor” crosses the line? It’s one thing to make fun of someone, but trying to discredit an entire movement of frustrated Americans and doing it with taxpayer money is something entirely different. How much longer are we going to continue to fund left-wing propaganda with OUR money? Just look at the NPR web site for their latest “humor” directed at the hundreds of thousands of “Tea Party” activists across the country.
Prominently displayed on the National Public Radio (NPR) web site is a new cartoon titled, “Learn To Speak Tea Bag.” Of course, Tea Party activists don’t ever use the term “tea bag,” a phrase that refers to a sexual act and which has been used by the media to demean the entire tea party movement.”

“‘Vitriol’ Cited As Possible Factor In Arizona Tragedy”

“Law enforcement officials continue to piece together the facts in Saturday’s shooting rampage that left a federal judge dead and a congresswoman critically injured in Arizona, and some are questioning whether divisive political rhetoric may have played a role.”

“At a news conference Saturday night, a clearly emotional Dupnik, who has been close to both Giffords and Roll, repeatedly cited what he characterized as the “vitriol” that has infected political discourse. He said that his own state has become “the mecca for prejudice and bigotry.”

There is reason to believe, he said, that the shooting suspect “may have a mental issue,” adding that people like that “are especially susceptible to vitriol.””

“Giffords, a moderate “Blue Dog” Democrat and gun rights advocate who in November eked out a win for a third term over Tea Party-backed Republican Jesse Kelly, underwent surgery at University Medical Center in Tucson. Hospital Director Pete Rhee said that a bullet had entered and exited the congresswoman’s head, but that he was as “optimistic” as he could be in the situation.”

So, who is being vitriolic?

Dilbert, Sunday, January 9, 2011, Clarity makes people angry, Left confused like deer in the headlights

“Why has Obama, for over 2 years, employed numerous private and government attorneys to avoid presenting a legitimate birth certificate and college records?”…Citizen Wells and millions of concerned Americans

I am a big fan of “Dilbert” by Scott Adams. I, like Dilbert, am often surrounded by idiots. The Dilbert cartoon today, Sunday, January 9, 2011, was custom made for the far left, NPR (subliminal man), in this country. More on NPR later.

The question above about Obama is a great “deer in the headlights” question.

From Dilbert:

“If you were able to comprehend both the problem and my recommended solution, you would agree with me.

So what appears to be a difference of opinion is just you wrestling with your own defective brain.

There’s no reason to get the rest of us involved in that mess.

Have you ever noticed that clarity makes people angry?”

Speaking of angry, here are a few comments placed here recently:

“Wells:

Why on earth would John, or Glenn or anyone of importance call a stupid nobody like you xxxxxxxx? You run a blog for crazy people. Thats all. You are IRRELEVANT xxxxxxxxxx.

get that thru that ugly pissed off head of yours.”

“There’s a huge distinction between reading the Constitution and actually comprehending what it says

You birthers just fail to epically on the latter.

Uneducated fools who think they can lecture actual constitutional experts on what the Constitution “really means”.”

“Staged by the BO regime? You people are cold, callous and absolutely sick.”

Obama narcissism, Barack Obama narcissistic impulses, Not about me, This isn’t about me, Obama lies, Radical socialist associations

“The lady doth protest too much, methinks.”… William Shakespeare “Hamlet”

Everything that Barack Obama does can be explained by the following:

Narcissism

Lies

Radical and  socialist associations

David Limbaugh wrote an excellent article about Obama’s narcissism on January 25, 2010.

“‘It’s Not About Me’ — Wink, Wink”

“The more painful exposure we have to Barack Obama — and we’re talking hyper-exposure at this point — the more we realize how narcissistic he is. Indeed, we are treated to this overexposure precisely because of his narcissistic impulses. He can’t keep himself out of the spotlight.
So it was that on the heels of his crushing personal defeat in the Massachusetts senatorial election last week, Obama’s principal reaction was, “This isn’t about me.”

When someone says that one time or a few times, you might believe him. But when he says it repeatedly (see below), you have to conclude he is protesting too much and means just the opposite.”

“His entire domestic and foreign policy agenda is so much about him that he insists on cramming it down our throats even though the polls overwhelmingly indicate that we Americans do not want it and, more importantly, that it is bankrupting this nation and making us less safe. That’s not selflessness. It’s self-indulgence and conceit to an obscene degree. He is so brainwashed in Marxist and appeasement ideologies that he continues to believe in their maxims in the face of their historical failure and of the miserable failure of his own agenda in the here and now. He is so convinced he knows better than we do what is in our best interests that he must thwart our ignorant will.”

“–On Feb. 15, 1990, after becoming “the first black president of the influential Harvard Law Review,” Obama said, “I realized my election was not about me, but it was about us, about what we could do and what we could accomplish.”
–On Nov. 2, 2004, when Obama visited the campus of the University of Illinois during his campaign for U.S. senator, he said: “Ultimately, this election is not about me. … It’s about the willingness of our citizens to get engaged and get involved.”
–On Dec. 11, 2006, in a speech in New Hampshire, Obama said, “It’s not about me.” But, according to an NPR reporter, “it really is all about him.”
–On Dec. 10, 2007, Obama said, “This campaign is not about me; it is about the hundreds of volunteers … in Rhode Island … and the millions of people across the country who want change we can believe in.”
–On Dec. 14, 2007, when asked about a New Year’s resolution, Obama said he needed to keep reminding himself, “This is not about me.”
–On Aug. 28, 2008, Obama said in his acceptance speech, “This election has never been about me; it’s about you.”
–On July 20, 2009, Obama said (exactly as he repeated following the Massachusetts election): “This isn’t about me. This isn’t about politics. This is about a health care system that is breaking America’s families, breaking America’s businesses and breaking America’s economy.”
Whom do you think it’s about?”

The Democrat party has done a good job of revealing their real agenda. From ramming an unwanted Health Care Bill down our throats to insults from Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and others. Recently NPR, an increasingly liberal radio outlet, insulted millions of concerned Americans and then acknowledging the insult, refused to apologize.

Citizen Wells comments

Notice the insult:

“Stop the Tea- Baggers”

Orwellian spin:

“To counter the hysteria and lies of Glenn Beck and other talking heads”

From the Grassroots Campaigns website

“Grassroots Campaigns (GCI) is an independent organization that does strategic consulting, fundraising, and field organizing for good causes and candidates. We specialize in building and running face-to-face outreach operations in neighborhoods and in high-traffic public venues to build support for groups, issues, and campaigns.
GCI was founded in December of 2003, and by April of 2004 had opened offices in 40 cities throughout the country. By July 2004, we had over 2,000 staff knocking on doors and talking to voters on behalf of the Democratic National Committee. With continued work on behalf of MoveOn PAC in October, we added a volunteer force of 50,000 individuals canvassing their neighborhoods in 17 of the most hotly contested swing states of the 2004 Presidential Election. Since 2004, we’ve continued to partner with groups and campaigns to advance good issues, raise money for progressive causes, help take back Congress, and build activism at the grassroots level.”

“Since its founding in December of 2003, GCI has partnered with a wide variety of groups and campaigns. We’re best known for working with MoveOn Political Action to pioneer innovative get out the vote strategies in the 2004, 2006 and 2008 elections, as well as raising millions of dollars in small donor contributions for the Democratic National Committee.”

“In the two years leading up to the 2008 election, GCI staff worked to organize MoveOn’s most active members into nearly 200 Councils nationwide. These Councils tool a lead role in MoveOn’s massive election recruitment effort to boost the Obama Campaign. Councils organized canvasses, held call parties to recruit volunteers in battleground states and volunteered directly with the Obama Campaign. Councils working with GCI staff took an especially leading roll in enabling the call party program, which culminated in over 7,480 house parties where volunteers made 2.14 million calls, recruiting over 90,000 volunteers for Obama in swing states.”

It is obvious from the above that Grassroots Campaigns is closely affiliated with the Democrat party and exhibits the same disdain for hard working, concerned Americans. The Craigslist ad reveals a priority for the Boston area.

NPR insults Tea Party Movement, National Public Radio insults Americans, Learn to speak Tea Bag, Ellen Weiss, Cartoon is staying up, NPR values, civility and civil discourse, Alicia C. Shepard

Many years ago I listened to NPR and Rush Limbaugh. I considered that a balanced approach to getting information. There were many decent shows on NPR (National Public Radio), my favorite being “Car Talk.” In the early nineties some of the NPR shows would slip in what I considered elitist, condescending comments about politicians and those of differing political opinions, but it generally did not get out of hand. I began listening less and less to NPR because a trend developed of increasing elitist comments, “we know more than you do.”

Recently NPR crossed over the line with a wholesale attack on average, hard working, patriotic Americans. The following was posted here, January 5, 2010.

“NPR Shows Everyone How to Speak ‘Tea Bag’… with OUR Money”
“Prominently displayed on the National Public Radio (NPR) web site is a new cartoon titled, “Learn To Speak Tea Bag.” Of course, Tea Party activists don’t ever use the term “tea bag,” a phrase that refers to a sexual act and which has been used by the media to demean the entire tea party movement.”
NPR insults hard working, concerned, patriotic Americans

Apparently NPR, in lock step with their kindred spirits Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama, is so out of touch with reality that they believe the Tea Party Movement is composed of a bunch of Right Wing extremists. Nothing  could be further from the truth. And this attitude comes from an organization that claims to present the news.
To add insult to injury, NPR has come out with a response. This response is no apology. The first part is an attempt by
Alicia C. Shepard to diffuse the controversy. The last part reveals the attitude of NPR management.
From the NPR ombudsman, Alicia C. Shepard, January 8, 2010.
“Loud Protests on NPR’s ‘Tea Party’ Cartoon”
“When the “Learn to Speak Tea Bag” cartoon making fun of “Tea Party” activists was published on Nov.12, there were 5 comments. By 6 p.m. this past Monday, there were 258. By Wednesday night, over 1,100 people had commented and it was still the most-recommended link on NPR’s web site. On Monday and Tuesday, calls came in every 10 minutes. Over 300 wrote to me — most of them angry.

The 90-second animation, which creator Mark Fiore calls satire, rather summarily dismisses participants in the Tea Party movement as inarticulate, paranoid bumblers. The video “teaches” the viewer to speak conversational “tea bag.”
Moderator: Finally, learning a new language doesn’t have to be hard. You can be fluent in conversational tea bag in just a few short minutes. Lesson one: Don’t get distracted by the confusing words of other languages.
Character: I think the public option and the competition it would foster would really — socialist, socialist.
Moderator: Good, very good. Lesson two: If you’re having trouble understanding the words of others or being understood yourself, use teabag’s stronger, more descriptive words.

Character: “Nazi, Nazi, Nazi.”

It’s actually not that funny — especially to those on the right, including members of the Tea Party movement, which is populated by passionate Americans who don’t like the direction President Obama is taking the country.

“The cartoon is a perfect caricature of what NPR looks like to conservatives: liberals snidely imagining conservatives to be monosyllabic clods who can’t make an argument beyond name-calling,” said Tim Graham, director of media analysis for the conservative Media Research Center. “Conservatism is ‘satirized’ into a form of political retardation.””

“That said, there are problems with the Tea Bag animation. Chief among them is it doesn’t fit with NPR values, one of which is a belief in civility and civil discourse.

Fiore is talented, but this cartoon is just a mean-spirited attack on people who think differently than he does and doesn’t broaden the debate. It engages in the same kind of name-calling the cartoon supposedly mocks.”

“There will be no apology and Fiore’s cartoon is staying up, said Ellen Weiss, senior vice president for news. “Opinion and satire are going to sting some members of the audience and soothe others,” she said, noting NPR has received some positive feedback. “This one satire is not the only coverage on the topic and while it offends some members of the audience, I see no reason to remove it.””

This goes way beyond opinion and satire. As Alicia C. Shepard stated,
