Larry Sinclair Delaware arraignment continued, Richard R. Wier, Jr backs out, Delaware Bar Association, Joe Biden, Attorney General Biden, Obama Campaign pressure?

Larry Sinclair’s arraignment in Delaware Superior Court has been continued. Wilmington Attorney Richard R. Wier, Jr, former Attorney General of Delaware, notified Sinclair yesterday at 5:15 PM, that he was withdrawing as Sinclair’s attorney. Here is Larry Sinclair’s statement on this:

Delaware Arraignment Continued/Official Complaint To Be Filed Against Attorney Wier

Posted by Larry Sinclair on Thursday, July 3, 2008

The arraignment scheduled in the Delaware Criminal Case for this morning at 8:30 AM has been continued to July 18, 2008.  I did provide the Court with a copy of the agreement entered into by Wilmington Attorney Richard R. Wier, Jr and myself on July 2, 2008 as well as informed the Court of Mr. Wier’s actions at 5:15 PM yesterday afternoon.

I have also contacted the Delaware Bar Association concerning the filing of a formal complaint in regards to Mr. Wier’s acts of the afternoon of July 2, 2008. Including the voice messages concerning the posting of the Detainer from Mr. Wier.

As an added note I would like to state that all the Obamablogonots who were threatening to appear at the Court House for the purpose of harassment and intimidation, did not show.”

Larry Sinclair, Delaware, Attorney General, Richard R Wier, Jr, Attorney General Biden, Joe Biden, Obama, Justice, Conspiracy, Weir backs out

What do Larry Sinclair, Obama, Joe Biden, Attorney General Biden, Richard R Wier, Jr and Delaware have in common. Miscarriage of justice. Larry Sinclair entered into an agreement with Richard R Wier, Jr, former Attorney General of Delaware, for legal representation. Mr. Sinclair is to be arraigned in Superior Court in delaware today, Thursday, July 3, 2008. Mr. Sinclair was notified at 5:15 PM, Wednesday, July 2, 2008 that Mr. Weir would not be representing him. According to Mr. Sinclair, this is the reason given by Mr. Weir:

“I cannot represent you knowing that you are saying the things you are saying about Senator Barack Obama and the Bidens.”

What does Larry Sinclair’s allegations and statements about the Bidens have to do with receiving legal representation?

Tomorrow is July 4. What is happening to American Justice?

What would the founding fathers think?

Larry Sinclair story, allegations, Obama Campaign controls press, David Axelrod, news suppression, George Orwell, doublespeak, MSM failure, Adams, Hearst, Brandeis, Einstein, Goebbels, Hitler, Jefferson, Orwell, Sinclair

“Abuse of words has been the great instrument of sophistry
and chicanery, of party, faction, and division of society.”
…. John Adams

“To be honest with you, it’s not so much whether you believe me or not, as much as you hear me.”

…. Larry Sinclair

The mainstream media has failed to do their job and will be held
accountable. Aside from a few notable exceptions such as ABC News
during the PA debate, Tim Russert and the Chicago Tribune, Barack
Obama has been given a free ride by the press. The Democrat
Party, David Axelrod and major monetary players in this country
and the Middle East have flexed their political muscles to
censor the truth about Obama. Phony news organizations like
CNN were never expected to report the truth. Fox News has
become an entertainment network and has been a disappointment.

The internet has increasingly become the primary news source
for many. Sadly, the Obama Campaign and Obama supporters have
aligned to attempt distortion and removal of news on the web.
Tampering with the truth and biased reporting are not a modern
day device. Accurate reporting has been a concern in this
country going back to the American Revolution.

Why has the MSM ignored or prejudged the Larry Sinclair
allegations? There are many reasons, but consider the
following:

Prosecutors routinely use convicted or known criminals to
prosecute other criminals.

Stuart Levine, an admitted heavy drug user and associate of
many crime and corruption figures in Illinois, was compelled
to testify after being wiretapped. His testimony helped
convict Tony Rezko and indict others.

Obama has admitted to drug use. He has a long list of associations
with crime and corruption figures in Illinois.

Larry Sinclair has admitted to prior drug use and brushes
with the law.

Larry Sinclair came forth on his own with his allegations.

A tremendous amount of resources have been expended attempting
to discredit Sinclair.

The Rezko trial and connections to Obama has been not reported
or under reported. It is no wonder that the Larry Sinclair
allegations have not been reported.

Consider the following quotes and ask why the MSM is not doing
their job:

“Please realize that the first duty of newspaper men is
to get the news and print the news.”
…. William Randolph Hearst

“The function of the press is very high. It is almost Holy.
It ought to serve as a forum for the people, through which
the people may know freely what is going on. To misstate or
suppress the news is a breach of trust.”
…. Louis D. Brandeis

“The (American) press, which is mostly controlled by vested
interests, has an excessive influence on public opinion.”
…. Albert Einstein

“Not every item of news should be published: rather must
those who control news policies endeavor to make every item
of news serve a certain purpose.”
…. Joseph Goebbels

“Propaganda must not serve the truth, especially not insofar
as it might bring out something favorable for the opponent.”
…. Adolf Hitler

“Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper.
Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that
polluted vehicle.”
…. Thomas Jefferson

“The past is whatever the records and the memories agree upon.
And since the party is in full control of all records, and in
equally full control of the minds of it’s members, it follows
that the past is whatever the party chooses to make it. Six
means eighteen, two plus two equals five, war is peace,
freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength.”
…. George Orwell

“When you pick up your morning or evening newspaper and think
you are reading the news of the world, what you are reading
is a propaganda which has been selected, revised, and doctored
by some power which has a financial interest in you.”
…. Upton Sinclair

We all know why the Larry Sinclair story is not being covered
by the MSM. The great minds above understood.

Obama, Patriotism, Sunshine Patriot, July 4, 2008, Symbols matter, Arrogance, Elitism, Clinging to Guns, Religion

Obama is playing the patriot card in a desperate attempt to appeal to the middle of the country, the “silent majority”, that clings to guns and religion. Our ancestors clung to guns and religion, defeated British tyranny and founded this country on the precepts of their religion and the concept of freedom from tyranny.

William Randolph Hearst stated:

“A politician will do anything to keep his job – even become a patriot.”

Thomas Paine wrote:

“These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.”

Zach Jones, a fellow blogger and seeker of truth, has a new article about Obama and patriotism. Read this article here:

Barack Obama, Jeremiah Wright, lies, racism, anti semitism, hate America, entitlement, health care, poor housing, African Americans tortured

“We control life, Winston, at all its levels.  You are imagining that there is something called human nature which will be outraged by what we do and will turn against us.  But we create human nature.  Men are infinitely malleable.” 1984 by George Orwell.
“Do not hate your brother in your heart.” Leviticus 19:17
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
I will present the truth and facts to you. Not white truth, not black truth, not green truth. Just the truth. If I discover an error by myself or others, I will correct it.

There are no white people or black people. Hold your hand next to a white sheet and black sheet of paper. There is only one race of people, the human race. Some of my best friends have skin color that is darker or lighter than my own. I am in their homes, they are in mine. Some of these people have spent days to a year in my home.

Slavery is a great evil. It is not a white skinned or black
skinned issue. Slavery, racism and bigotry are about taking
advantage of other people. This can become widespread due to conquest, laws and ignorance.
Slavery was wrong when light skinned people owned darker skinned people in America.
Slavery was wrong when American Indians owned darker skinned people in America.
Slavery was wrong when dark skinned people owned dark skinned people in America.
Slavery was wrong when Africans sold and owned dark skinned people in Africa.
Slavery was wrong when Vikings sold and owned people in Europe.
Slavery was wrong when Romans sold and owned people in Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa.
Slavery was wrong when Egyptians sold and owned people in the Middle East and Africa.
Slavery was wrong when Middle Easterners sold and owned people in the Middle East and Africa.
Slavery was wrong when ancient Europeans sold and owned people in Europe.
Slavery was wrong when ancient peoples of the Americas sold and owned people.

Slavery has not existed in the United States for well over a hundred years. Slavery did not begin here. It was too slow in being eradicated but it was ended. George Washington and Abraham Lincoln grew up in an era of slavery, racism and bigotry. The information they were “programmed” with led them to believe that blacks were inferior. They were products of their environment. Despite the misinformation they were given, they slowly came to the realization that what they had believed about blacks was wrong.
This is one of the reasons that what pastor Jeremiah Wright
is preaching is important. Most importantly, he is enfluencing
his parishioners, especially the children. He has also had an
impact on Barack Obama, who is running for president of the US. This is not a casual relationship. Jeremiah Wright has been consistently referred to as a mentor to Barack Obama. Don’t even begin to question the above. I am very well educated and studied quite a bit of history.

Next to statements regarding entitlement and what the US government owes it’s citizens. What the federal government is responsible for is quite simple. Here are the primary responsibilities: Defense, law legislation, Supreme Court decisions, federal banking and interstate commerce. The President of the United States has the primary job of Commander in Chief. Once again national defense.

Accountability is lacking in modern day society. Why do modern day Americans have a sense of entitlement. That is, the government owes them affordable housing, free health care, educations, etc. There are three main reasons for this. The modern day Democratic Party that get votes by promising hand outs from the government,
demagogues that gain from manipulating the masses and human greed.

Here is a good example of this lack of accountability from a
recent post on this blog:

“While it is clear that a disproportionate number of African Americans are tortured by inadequate health care; poor housing, inadequate educations, abusive criminal justice, unemployment and high crime, much of this today is because they live in poverty. And in the global capitalism of today these conditions now exist for countless numbers of other Americans, white, Asian, Latino and others.”

The word torture is used again. This is a common ploy of the liberal left. Once again, there is a lack of personal accountability. The reason many of these people are in poverty is due to a lack of personal accountability and the notion that they are owed everything. Much of this comes from the modern day Democrats and demagogues.
Just look around at all the people that come to the US knowing full well of the opportunity here. All they have to do is work hard and they do, and often turn their lives around in one generation.

One of the other great lies being told is about George W Bush
and the Iraq War. George Bush did not lie about the Iraq War. There are two posts on this blog concerning the tone of the country and the situation in Iraq prior to the war. 10 quotes were provided about Iraq and Saddam Hussein, yet people have short memories and many have an agenda of propagating lies. All of the quotes came from the Clinton Administration and substantiate what George W Bush acted upon.

Lies and diversions. These are the hallmark of the liberal left.
Barack Obama’s speech about racism was a diversion. Yes, it was brilliant and eloquent, but so was Adolf Hitler. The German people wanted change. Change is not always good. Some people posting on this blog are attempting diversions as well. They speak of this white pastor and that white pastor. This is once again a diversion and rationalization. Everyone is accountable for their own actions. Some of these pastors said some really stupid things. However, Jeremiah Wright is spewing racist hate, anti semitism and hate for America. When I hear these other pastors spewing this level
of hate and mentoring a presidential candidate for 20 years, then I will redirect my energies.

So, why am I and many others focusing attention on Barack Obama, Jeremiah Wright and others they associated with. Many red flags were raised by the hate speeches of pastor Wright, his mentoring of Barack Obama for 20 years, ties to Saddam Hussein, other suspicious middle eastern and African ties and ties to criminal elements. There were red flags in Germany prior to the rise of Adolf Hitler. The people chose to ignore them. They were swept up in the euphoria of the moment with a promise of change. Even though then, as now, words of racism, anti semitism and hate were being used,
it was somebody else that was responsible for their problems. This is too important to characterize as a blacks versus whites issue. We are all Americans and we need to make an informed decision.

John Stuart Mill, War, Good cause, Liberal Parliament member, War quote

John Stuart Mill was a British philosopher, political economist, civil servant and liberal Member of Parliament. He was also a  influential liberal thinker of the 19th century and a teacher of utilitarianism, an ethical theory developed by Jeremy Bentham. Mill was an advocate for Ireland, and the first Parliament member to propose that women be given the right to vote. Mill was a strong advocate of women’s rights. He believed that in some cases, war is the lesser of evils. Here is John Stuart Mill’s  famous quote concerning war:
“But war, in a good cause, is not the greatest evil which a nation can suffer. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse. When a people are used as mere human instruments for firing cannon or thrusting bayonets, in the service and for the selfish purposes of a master, such war degrades a people. A war to protect other human beings against tyrannical injustice – a war to give victory to their own ideas of right and good, and which is their own war, carried on for an honest purpose by their free choice – is often the means of their regeneration. A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. As long as justice and injustice have not terminated their ever-renewing fight for ascendancy in the affairs of mankind, human beings must be willing, when need is, to do battle for the one against the other.”

Douglas Kinnard, UVM professor of political science, The War managers, University of Vermont, Vietnam vs Iraq, Question for professor, General Kinnard

First of all, I believed that we should not be in Vietnam when the war was going on and I believe that even more so now. I also respect Americans that served in Vietnam and followed their conscience. Dwight D Eisenhower, in a 1961 speech, warned of the military industrial complex. Here is the quote:

“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.”

The rest of the speech can be viewed here:

http://coursesa.matrix.msu.edu/~hst306/documents/indust.html

I believe we must be on guard against the undue influence of armaments manufacturers. I also believe these financial gain sources played too big a role in our involvement in Vietnam. Of course, we still need to employ our checks and balances to guard against any undue influence.

Many have tried to connect imaginary dots to form an analogy between the Vietnam War and the Iraq War. The only strong analogy I can discern is that both were unpopular wars. I hope that all wars are unpopular wars. However, many choices in life are choosing the lesser of evils. Some wars such as The American Revolution, World War II and the Iraq War are the lesser of evils. If we had entered World War II earlier, I am certain that millions of lives could have been saved.
I am also convinced that if the United Nations had performed as it was chartered, our involvement in Iraq would have been radically different. Of course that was not possible with France, Germany and Russia being “in bed” with Saddam Hussein financially.

Douglas Kinnard, UVM professor of political science, former general in Vietnam and author of “The War Managers”, was interviewed in The Vermont Quarterly in the Fall 2007 issue. He speaks of his involvement with Vietnam as a general, in the military, and his opinion of the Vietnam War. At the end of the interview, he states, “Those who fail to learn from history are forced to repeat it.” I wholeheartedly agree with that statement, but would add that as long as the learning takes place from a broad based factual account of history and not revisionist history.

Professor Kinnard adds this statement at the end: “If Bush knew the real lessons of Vietnam, he would get out sooner than stay.” I would like a clarification of that statement. Was the statement made to appease the ultra liberal folks at The University Of Vermont, or was it a general (no pun intended) statement about lingering past our eminent usefulness?

Dr. Douglas Kinnard, I respectfully request your response. I do not want to misrepresent your statement.

Bush impeachment, Arrest, Iraq war, 1984, George Orwell, Minnesota, Liberal Democrats

I just received this comment from someone that is apparently associated with Minneapolis Minnesota and many left wing liberal groups. They actively promote ideas of impeaching President Bush, arresting Bush and that the president’s administration is involved in illegal activities such as wiretapping and torture. I would expect this kind of thought process in Minnesota just as I would in Vermont. Maybe the cold weather and indoor life affects their brains.

I went to one of their websites, and after scanning through their ridiculous comments, I came to the bottom where this appeared:
“I just want you to know that,
when we talk about war, we’re really talking about peace.”
-Bush, June 18, 2002

“War is Peace”
-Big Brother in George Orwell’s 1984

The real irony of this is that the democratic party, especially the left wing liberal segment, uses the tactics of Big Brother regularly. They constantly tell lies and distortions of truth that become reality to their cohorts. They are masters of doublespeak. Let’s address torture. The Iraq war is much more analogous to World war II than the Vietnam conflict. Real torture took place in World War II. The Japanese were masters of inflicting pain. Don’t whine to me about water boarding, you spineless wimps. World War II veterans are dying daily all around us. You insult them with your comments. If any of you have any thoughts of aggression toward President Bush, I suggest you come to NC, where the majority of the population will help you see the error of your way.

Here is the comment that was posted in it’s entirety:

Resolution on Impeachment of Bush and Cheney Whereas George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney: 1. deliberately misled the nation and doctored intelligence, as described in the Downing Street minutes, http://www.downingstreetmemo.com/memos.html about the threat from Iraq in order to justify a war of aggression and an occupation of Iraq, as further described in House resolution H. While Bush and Cheney have stated no truthful noble cause for the war, one of the central purposes appears to be to take control of Iraq’s immense oil reserves to financially benefit private corporate interests. See Bush’s benchmark listing fact sheet released the same day Bush announced the “surge” that expressly called on the Iraq parliament to “enact hydrocarbons law to promote investment . . . ” http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/01/20070110-3.html and http://www.alternet.org/waroniraq/56672/; 5. committed further crimes against peace by threatening Iran in violation of the UN Charter, as described in House resolution H. The Rumsfeld approved Guantanamo torture techniques were then imported to Iraq in August 2003, where the International Committee of the Red Cross found “systemic” mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners in several facilities and where the Schlesinger Report confirmed in August 2004 that abuses were “widespread” and “serious both in number and in effect,” and that there is both “institutional and personal responsibility at higher levels;”

8. approved at least two different illegal electronic surveillance programs of American citizens without a warrant in violation of the fourth amendment and in violation of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978, and repeatedly lied to the American people by stating that no surveillance was taking place without a court order. The first program includes intercepting phone and email conversations without warrants and was exposed by the NY Times on December 16, 2005 http://emoglen.law.columbia.edu/CPC/NYT_15cnd-program.html. After that programwas exposed Bush said the program was carefully targeted to just include international calls and suspected members of Al Qaeda. Then, the second program was exposed by USA Today on May 11, 2006. It provides a wholesale attack on the fourth amendment by recording call identification information of tens of millions of purely domestic calls as well as international calls http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2006-05-10-nsa_x.htm; 9. attacked basic human rights protections in the constitution including habeas corpus, fifth amendment freedom from loss of life, liberty and property without due process of law, eighth amendment freedom from cruel and unusual punishment, and fourth amendment freedom fromunreasonable search and seizure; 10. attacked the separation of powers in an effort to consolidate power in the executive; 11. attacked the messenger who revealed that Bush “twisted” intelligence “to exaggerate the Iraqithreat.” Just as Nixon retaliated against former Pentagon analyst Daniel Ellsberg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Ellsberg, according to papers filed in court by special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald in April 2006, there was “concerted action” by “multiple people in the White House” to “discredit, punish or seek revenge against” former Ambassador Joseph Wilson for his July 6, 2003 NY Times op ed piece http://www.nytimes.com/2003/07/06/opinion/06WILS.html?ex=1372824000&en=6c6aeb1ce960dec0&ei=5007 that ripped the cover off of Bush’s false assertions in his 2003 state of the union address that Iraq was trying to buy uranium from Africa for building a nuclear bomb. In retaliation, and to silence other would-be critics, the White House collected information about Wilson and disclosed to reporters that his wife, Valerie Plame, was a covert agent in the CIA counterinsurgency division, putting her life, and the lives of her contacts, at risk in violation of a US law protecting intelligence personnel (The Impeachment of George W. Bush, by Elizabeth Holtzman); 12. as the sole person under the Federal Stafford Act with responsibility and authority to issue emergency orders to mobilize the military and any federal resources needed to aid and assist in a disaster (see Failure of Initiative, February 2006 report of the House Select Bipartisan Committee to investigate the Preparations for and the Response to Hurricane Katrina http://katrina.house.gov/), Bush failed to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, violated the public trust, and demonstrated reckless and inexcusable indifference to human life before, during and after Hurricane Katrina. Bush knew but did not act until too late, and then he lied about it on national TV. Footage and transcripts from briefings Aug. 25-31 demonstrate that Bush was personally told well in advance of the “unprecedented strength” of the hurricane, the “devastating damage expected,” and that “water shortages will make human suffering incredible,” according to highly accurate predictions by the National Weather Service. The Associated Press reported that “in dramatic and sometimes agonizing terms, federal disaster officials warned President Bush and his homeland security chief before Hurricane Katrina struck that the storm could breach levees, put lives at risk in New Orleans’ Superdome and overwhelmrescuers, according to confidential video footage,” http://www.truthout.org/cgi- bin/artman/exec/view.cgi/47/18079. Yet Bush failed to muster resources to evacuate residents in advance and failed to assist New Orleans residents after Hurricane Katrina hit. Then three days

later Bush told Good Morning America, “I don’t think that anybody anticipated a breach of the levees.” http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp- dyn/content/article/2006/03/02/AR2006030202130.html In years before the storm Bush demonstrated inexcusable criminal negligence and violated the public trust by cutting the budget for hurricane defense, though the high probability of the breaching of the levees and the enormous risk to human life from a major hurricane hitting New Orleans were predicted and well known for years before the hurricane hit http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/09/03/katrina.chertoff/index.html; 13. failed to take care that the laws be faithfully executed by issuing signing statements that claim the authority to disobey laws based on the president’s own interpretation of their constitutionality, and then by taking action in violation of these laws, including the US law making torture a crime, laws regarding Congressional oversight that require providing information to Congress, laws regarding domestic spying, laws regarding civil liberties, and laws strengthening whistle blower protection, thereby expanding the president’s own power by stepping into the legislative and judicial functions at the expense of Congress and the courts, upsetting the balance among the three branches of government, and moving us away fromthe rule of law toward vastly increased executive power; http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2006/04/30/bush_challenges_hundreds_of_l aws/ and http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2006/03/24/bush_shuns_patriot_act_requirement/; 14. converted the Justice Department into an arm of the Republican Party by firing meritorious federal prosecutors who refused to base decisions on whom to prosecute on political considerations–to help Republicans win election, an offense James Madison discussed in a speech to the Senate on June 17, 1789, in which Madison said, ” The danger then consists merely in this, the president can displace from office a man whose merits require that he should be continued in it. What will be the motives which the president can feel for such abuse of his power, and the restraints that operate to prevent it? In the first place, he will be impeachable by this house, before the senate, for such an act of mal-administration; for I contend that the wanton removal of meritorious officers would subject him to impeachment and removal from his own hightrust.” http://www.gwu.edu/ffcp/mep/displaydoc.cfm?docid=fc11904http://www.commondreams.org/archive/2007/03/27/113/print/; 15. condoned criminal conduct and obstructed justice by commuting the sentence of convicted perjurer Scooter Libby to keep him silent and to demonstrate that Bush and Cheney will not allow high officials in the administration to be held accountable for their criminal acts;16. obstructed congressional investigations of these and other acts by the administration by defying subpoenas from Senate and House committees seeking documents and testimony under oath by administration officials and former administration officials; and Whereas the constitution requires the president to take the following oath of office: “I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States;” and Whereas the constitution provides that the president “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed;” and
Page 4
Whereas the constitution mandates that “the President, Vice President and all civil Officers ofthe United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors;” and Whereas impeachment was so important to our founding fathers that it is mentioned six times in five different sections of the constitution; and Whereas George Mason, a primary author of the Constitution, said that impeachment was the single most important part of the entire document. “Shall any man be above Justice? Above all shall that man be above it who can commit the most extensive injustice?” http://gunstonhall.org/georgemason/constitution.html July 20, 1787; and Whereas “high Crimes and Misdemeanors” is a term of art that means a serious abuse of power, whether or not it is also a crime, that endangers our constitutional system of government, or an abuse of public trust. (See Constitutional Grounds for Presidential Impeachment: Report of the House Judiciary Committee, 1974, http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/clinton/stories/watergatedoc_3.htm, articles by Elizabeth Holzman who served on the House Judiciary Committee during the impeachment hearings of Richard Nixon in 1974 http://www.thenation.com/doc/20060130/holtzman; and http://www.thenation.com/docprint.mhtml?i=20070212&s=holtzman, and the book, The Impeachment of George W. Bush, by Elizabeth Holtzman) Whereas each of the above listed acts meets or exceeds that standard; andWhereas impeachment is the only constitutional method to protect Americans from a president intent on abusing power, violating the constitution, violating the laws, and breaching public trust; and Whereas Bush and Cheney threaten further crimes, including launching a war of aggression against Iran, and whereas sufficient time remains in their term of office for them to commit thosecrimes so allowing either or both of them to remain in office for that remaining time will facilitate these crimes, and whereas pretexts for attacking Iran have been issued, as described by a former CIA Middle East field officer and current Time Magazine columnist http://www.time.com/time/printout/0,8816,1654188,00.html; and Whereas failing to hold Bush and Cheney accountable not only condones their crimes but facilitates a future president committing similar or greater crimes; and Whereas members of Congress swear an oath to “support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” and no part of this oath permits exception for partisan advantage, the next election, political expediency, whether it is distracting from other issues, or how much time they have left in office; and Whereas failure by Congress to initiate the one remedy–impeachment–provided by our founding fathers to protect the constitution from such serious abuses has put that constitution, the rule of law, civil liberties, our democratic form of government, the separation of powers, the lives of our men and women in uniform, and the lives of countless civilians at severe risk; and Whereas citizen pressure led the Vermont State Senate and 87 cities and towns around the nation to pass impeachment resolutions; and

Whereas a poll conducted by http://www.americanresearchgroup.com on July 5, 2007 found that 54% of American adults want the US House of Representatives to begin impeachmentproceedings against Vice President Dick Cheney while only 40% oppose, and whereas the poll also found that 45% are in favor of the same thing for President George W. Bush while 46% oppose; and Whereas in view Congress’ ongoing complicity with the war, the torture, the lies, the warrantless wiretapping, and the imprisonment without trial, and its failure to protect rights and civil liberties, it is up to the people themselves to defend the constitution and our civil liberties by building larger grassroots movements, including a movement for impeachment; Therefore be it resolved that the National Lawyers Guild calls upon the U.S. House of Representatives to immediately initiate impeachment proceedings, to investigate the charges, andif the investigation supports the charges, to vote to impeach George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney as provided in the Constitution of the United States of America; and Be it further resolved that the National Lawyers Guild will establish an NLG Impeachment Committee open to all members to coordinate action by the NLG in support of impeachment, to work with national and grassroots impeachment organizations, and to provide legal assistance for those efforts to strengthen the national campaign for impeachment; and Be it further resolved that the NLG Impeachment Committee will help organize and coordinate events at the local, state, and national level to build public participation in the campaign to initiate impeachment investigation, impeachment, and removal of Bush and Cheney from office without further delay; and Be it further resolved that the National Lawyers Guild calls on NLG members to ask their respective member of Congress to support H. Res. 333 to impeach Cheney and to introduce or support other impeachment resolutions; and Be it further resolved that the National Lawyers Guild calls on all other state and national bar associations, state and local government bodies, community organizations, labor unions, and all other citizen associations to adopt similar resolutions and to use all their resources to build the campaign demanding that Congress initiate impeachment investigation, impeach, and remove Bush and Cheney from office without further delay; and Be it further resolved that the National Lawyers Guild will forward a copy of this resolution to the Speaker and the Clerk of the US House of Representatives, to Representative John Conyers, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, to the various state and federal bar associations, to other peace and justice organizations, and to the news media. Implementation: By the NLG Impeachment Committee established by this resolution, by interested local chapters, and by national officers. Mar 7, 2:44 AM — Brattleboro VT, Bush Cheney impeachment, indictment, arrest, Vermont, provide proof

John McCain, network coverage, liberal bias, Brit Hume, Fox news, Grapevine

Liberal bias in the press is a reality. The press has a bad reputation in the US going back to the American Revolution. John and Abigail Adams, nearly saints in their dedication to this country, complained about the unfair treatment they received in the press. Now, John McCain, a hero and honorable man, is being treated unfairly by the likes of the NY Times and network news. Brit Hume, of Fox News, addressed liberal bias of the network news in his March 4 2008 Grapevine segment. Here is an excerpt:

Going Negative

“A study of the three broadcast network evening news programs indicates John McCain’s media fortunes have taken a dramatic turn south since early January. The Center for Media and Public Affairs says the percentage of McCain coverage it deemed positive was 46 percent from mid-December through mid-February. But look at the contrast between his 97 percent positive number before the New Hampshire primary on January eighth — and just 30 percent positive since.”

Vermont, Brattleboro VT, Marlboro VT, Bush Cheney indictment, impeached, arrest, drugs, idiots

First of all, I was in Vermont twice in 2007 and secondly, what I am about to say is not an attack or reference to the entire state of VT. However, Vermont is a haven for drug users and people with less than balanced thought patterns. The towns of Brattleboro and Marlboro just voted to indict President George W Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. Here is the actual statement that was voted on:
“Shall the Selectboard instruct the Town Attorney to draft indictments against President Bush and Vice President Cheney for crimes against our Constitution, and publish said indictment for consideration by other municipalities? And shall it be the law of the Town of Brattleboro that the Brattleboro Police, pursuant to the above-mentioned indictments, arrest and detain George Bush and Richard Cheney in Brattleboro if they are not duly impeached, and extradite them to other authorities that may reasonably contend to prosecute them.”

More can be read about the meeting here:

Here is some more information from a local news source:
“Up in the town of Marlboro, VT, population 1000, the town constable may have a new job. If President George W. Bush, or Vice President Dick Cheney should happen to stop by there, perhaps to pick up some freshly made maple syrup or maple sugar candy, he’d have to arrest them. Last night, the citizens of Marlboro voted in their annual town meeting to indict both men for war crimes, obstruction of justice and perjury. The vote was 43-25, with three abstentions.

Residents of nearby Brattleboro, population 12,000, did the same, voting 2012-1795.”

Now for my position. I cannot speak for the entire state of NC, but I believe many of the good people of North Carolina are of the same beliefs. I consider this an insult and attack on the president and vice president of the United States, our president and vice president. I would think twice about entering the state of NC. Remember, some of you talk a good talk, but we have a strong tradition of fighting for the establishment and safety of this country. This goes back prior to, during and after the American Revolution and includes my direct ancestors. I condemn your action and consider you cowards and traitors. Clear?
