Obama’s Rezko Auchi conflict of interest, Nadhmi Auchi, Saddam Hussein, Iraq war, Obama opposed war, Auchi high ranking official in Iraq Oil Ministry, 3.5 million dollar loan to Rezko, Obama home purchase

In case you thought we had forgottten about Obama being guilty of curruption, probably just as guilty as Rod Blagojevich, think again. The Citizen Wells blog series on why Barack Obama should be indicted and arrested will return soon. In the meantime, here is an interesting article for your consideration.

From the Hawai’i Free Press, September 17, 2008:

“Nadhmi Auchi is an Iraqi whose Baathist ties go back to 1959. A formerly high-ranking official in Iraq’s Oil Ministry, Auchi left Iraq at the end of the 1970s. His wealth then grew exponentially as a procurer of arms for Saddam Hussein’s government during the Iran–Iraq war. He is now one of the richest men in Britain. Saddam Hussein in 1995 selected BNP, which later merged with Paribas, as the sole conduit bank handling Oil-for-Food transactions. This Clinton-era arrangement was changed in 2001 by the incoming Bush administration.

Auchi was also a key financial backer for Chicago political fixer and dual US-Syrian citizen Tony Rezko. This writer explained the complex web of relationships in an August 24 article titled, “Iraqi Billionaire Threatens Reporters Investigating Rezko Affair”:

A secret $3.5 million loan from an Auchi company to key early-money Barack Obama fundraiser Antoin Rezko was exposed while Rezko was awaiting trial on fraud and money-laundering charges earlier this year. Rezko’s bail was revoked and police showed up banging on the doors of his Wilmette Chicago mansion to drag him off to jail early in the morning of January 28th. Auchi’s loan to Rezko had come on May 23, 2005 but had not been disclosed to the Court as required in his bail agreement. Three weeks later, on June 15, 2005, Rezko’s wife assisted the Obamas in the purchase of their South Chicago mansion by purchasing a next-door undeveloped lot being sold with the house.

According to the Times of London, “Mr. Rezko’s lawyer said his client had ‘longstanding indebtedness’ to Mr. Auchi’s General Mediterranean Holding (GMH). By June 2007 he owed it $27.9 million. Under a Loan Forgiveness Agreement described in court, M. Auchi lent Mr. Rezko $3.5 million in April 2005 and $11 million in September 2005, as well as $3.5 million transferred in April 2007. That agreement provided for the outstanding loans to be ‘forgiven’ in return for a stake in the 62-acre Riverside Park development.”

Rezko’s relationship with Barack Obama goes back to at least 1990, when Obama’s law firm did work relating to thousands of now-decaying Rezko apartment units in South Chicago. Rezko was a key early-money fundraiser in Obama’s state Senate campaigns and his failed run at the U.S. Congress.

According to The Times of London, “Mr. Auchi first met Mr. Rezko after the 2003 Iraq war and they have a business relationship.” At the time Auchi was facing the possibility of extradition to France. The Times of London explains: “Mr Auchi was convicted of corruption, given a suspended sentence and fined £1.4 million in France in 2003 for his part in the Elf affair, described as the biggest political and corporate scandal in post-war Europe. He, in a statement from his media lawyers, claims he is appealing against the sentence.”

In 2003, Nick Cohen of the UK Guardian wrote:

Allow me to introduce you to Nadhmi Auchi. He was charged in the 1950s with being an accomplice of Saddam Hussein, when the future tyrant was acquiring his taste for blood. He was investigated in the 1980s for his part in alleged bribes to the fabulously corrupt leaders of post-war Italy. In the 1990s, the Belgium Ambassador to Luxembourg claimed that Auchi’s bank held money Saddam and Colonel Gadaffi had stolen from their luckless peoples. In 2002, officers from the Serious Fraud Squad raided the offices of one of Auchi’s drug companies as part of an investigation of what is alleged to be the biggest swindle ever of the (British National Health Service). With allegations, albeit unproven, like these hanging over him, wouldn’t you think that British MPs would have the sense to stay away?”

“Here are some questions reporters should be asking Barack Obama:

Senator Obama: Lehman Brothers owes over $250 million to a bank owned in part by Nadhmi Auchi’s holding company. Auchi was a key financial backer of Tony Rezko. Sources indicate you met Auchi twice when he visited Chicago in 2004. If elected, how will your relationship with Rezko and Auchi affect your policy towards Lehman Brothers?

Senator Obama: There are reports that Nadhmi Auchi was in 2004-2005 seeking US residency while appealing his French court conviction in the ELF-Aquitaine case. If elected, would you look favorably on a US residency application from Auchi?

Senator Obama: You stated that the Lehman bankruptcy shows that Americans cannot afford four more years of the Republicans’ “failed philosophy”. Can Americans afford a President whose home was purchased with the assistance of now-convicted-felon Tony Rezko, a man characterized as having “permanent indebtedness” to Nadhmi Auchi?”

Barack Obama, passport, Kenya, anti Israel, pro arabism, Islamic socialist, Rezko, Auchi, Saddam Hussein, Odinga, Marxist, Black Panthers

I just received this comment and thought it worthy of highlighting. I agree with the person that provided this information, do research. Listen to the “feel good” speeches but do the honest research to check these candidates out. Remember the old saying, “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” I did not know that much about Barack Obama until fairly recently. All I knew was what the media force fed me and an occasional comment from someone. Based upon my research and the factual data from others, I am convinced that Barack Obama must not become president. Here is the comment that was posted. Read it carefully, do some research and let me know what you think.

*There is no doubt that average people refuse to take the time to research very much, (you did), but people like to dismiss that which overwhelms and sounds different, but they ought to search. I certainly know, of course, that they are all connected to Obama, if not related, and so, since I see there is space, I will add a little bit more, forgive repetition, and absorb the BLUNT honesty:

Obama has a dual citizenship with Kenya. His passport was breached today by inquiring minds because Obama is an anti-Israel pro-pan-arabism Islamic-socialist who has ties to marxist Libyan president Muammar al Gadaffi, Syrian tycoon Antoin Rezko, Saudi Arabian sheikhs, and Rezko’s “close friend” 3.5 million money pal Auchi, the one who gave Obama fundraiser money: Iraqi billionaire global arms dealer Nadhmi Auchi, was Baathist best friends with Saddam Hussein, and the main financial backer for Saddam’s Iraqi-Saudi oil pipeline, and who stood trial with Saddam in 1959 for conspiring to assassinate Iraqi President Qasim, (Saddam even killed Auchi’s brother, but they remained best friends), also marxist Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega is on the frontline supporting Obama for the revolution of the change, and then there’s hardcore anti-Israel, pro-Palestine PLO enforcer Rashid Khalidi, (Obama was on Khalidi’s Woods Fund). Obama was a member of the Woods Fund with communist domestic terrorist Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground who bombed the Pentagon, the US Capital, among other things, and their organization raised money for anti-Israel programs, and also AAAN, for Arabs, and then there’s especially Kenya… where in August of 2007 Obama went to support his E. Germany communist educated cousin Raila Odinga for Kenyan presidential election who claims, coincidentally, to also be a Christian yet who signed NAMLEF and other pacts with radical Muslims who set churches filled with Christians on fire, and macheted them in the streets, causing a political and religious mini-civil war over the MuO.

Sorry folks, I studied all of Obama’s mentors, buddies, political affiliations, organizational memberships, and all of his *hard-core militant Muslim* family members, like his brother Abongo “Roy” Odinga who hates America, and their communist grandfather who ran with Russia and hated America, not to mention his socialist connection to his profound childhood mentor Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Communist Party, CPUSA, and…well, we know Pastor Wright, Jesse Jackson, Jesse Jackson JR, Al Sharpton, and Nation of Islam minister Louis Farrakhan….and they have a *few* issues with america, white people, and jews—> so simply reverse it, and you’ll see they care about: Africa, Blacks, and Muslims, which can be corroborated by things they have said along with their affiliations.

*Don’t forget that Obama’s 2004 U.S. Senate political opponent, Republican Alan Keyes, accused Obama of being a “hard-core academic Marxist.”

-Marxist Nicaraguan President’s endorsement is for Obama, and he says: “It’s not to say that there is already a revolution under way in the U.S.; but yes, they [supporters of Barack Obama] are laying the foundations for a revolutionary change”

*Obama’s endorsement by Black Panthers. Check out their politics, ahem. Well, they are Marxist, of course.

__Militant Islam is the new Communism.__

**Socialism must be accompsihed through proletariat exchange, a revolution, and if you really see it, easily, you will see that the west, america, white people–rich white people–are the enemy. Obama titled his book “Audacity of Hope” after Pastor Wright’s sermon about the need to destroy capitalism and the middle-class at the hands of rich white america and the west. Race OVERRULES religion. POLITICS overrule race and religion: it’s about the change.

Pan-Arabism and Islamic-Socialism spans globally, it embraces not just governments as such but also individuals. All-black-brown people who are against the bourgeoise…rich-white, capitalist, american, western power:

RESEARCH.

Break the BUBBLE.

Barack Obama, Tony Rezko, Nadhmi Auchi, Saddam Hussein, Abdul Karim Qasim, Muammar Gaddafi, Pastor Jeremiah Wright, questions

I received a comment recently that raises a lot of Questions about Barack Obama and his associations with criminals and other associated with the likes of Saddam Hussein, Tony Rezko, Nadhmi Auchi, Muammar Gaddafi and Louis Farrakhan. Of course, there is a lot of misinformation in the press and on the internet, so I decided to do some searches. Within a few minutes I found enough credible evidence to give me reason to have concern. Check out the following for yourself. Let me know what you find out and what you think.

Here is the comment I received followed by some links that I found:

{This is NO rumor; it’s just not in mainstream media. You can google everything to see it’s true. This is not even half of it}

BOOM!!

Obama–>Rezko–>Auchi–>Saddam Hussein & Muammar al-Gaddafi

-Obama got his money from Tony Rezko who got his 3.5 million from Nadhmi Auchi:

-Rezko described his friendship with Auchi as “close”

-Nadhmi Auchi is an Iraqi-born billionaire who was charged along with Saddam Hussein for conspiring to assassinate Prime minister (president) Abdul Karim Qasim and stood trial in 1959. (Auchi gave fellow Baath Party members machine guns from his home for Saddam Hussein.)

-Auchi protected secret money for Saddam Hussein AND Muammar al-Gaddafi.

(Remember, Obama’s Trinity church Pastor Wright went with Nation of Islam minister Louis Farrakhan in 1993 to visit Libyan socialist leader Gaddafi.)

-Auchi also financially backed Saddam Hussein’s plan for a pipeline from Iraq to Saudi Arabia.

-Rezko was also a business partner with Nation of Islam Founder’s son: Jabir Herbert Muhammad.

Why isn’t the media talking about all of Barack Obama’s scary friends who have ties to the worst people in history?

*Don’t forget William (Bill) Ayers and Bernadine Dorhn of the Weather Underground.

*Obama’s cousin Raila Odinga who just became co-President of Kenya this week (after nearly 1,000 Christians were set on fire in churches and machete in the streets) whom Obama is said to be close to: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/7176683.stm –calling Odinga a few times a day and even during the New Hampshire primary is a major problem.

-Odinga signed a secret pact with Muslim jihadists who were to ethnically cleanse Christians in order to enforce Sharia law (Muslim law: ban booze, ban pork, Muslim dress for women, Islamic courts, etc). Portions of NAMLEF agreement is right on the internet. There is also an under the table pact that is worse.

*Obama’s cousin Raila Odinga was educated in communist E. Germany, and his father, Oginga Odinga led the communist opposition during the Cold War.

And why does Raila Odinga use Obama’s exact same campaign slogan: CHANGE….Vote for CHANGE: Look at his website:

Iraq war, history 101, United Nations, US role, facts, revisionist history

There are 1 or more people commenting on this blog that are purportedly University of Western Florida students. Responding with comments to my posts is ok. Disagreeing with me is ok. Trying to take over this blog is not. If you need a platform for your agenda, start your own blog.

History 101 and the Iraq War

Prerequisites: some fundamental knowledge of 20th century history. Closest analogy to Iraq war in past 100 years, World War II.

Topic 1 – The Iraq war is costing a lot of money. There is a cost of action and a cost of inaction. Assignment: calculate the cost of World War II in today’s dollars. Cost in human lives. What would the dollar cost and human cost have been if we had not entered the war? What would the dollar cost and human cost have been if we had gotten involved 1 year earlier? 2 years earlier?

Now, suppose we had not stopped the Iraq invasion of Kuwait. Now suppose we had left Saddam Hussein unchecked. Now factor in Iran and their desire for a nuclear capabability. Don’t believe for 1 minute that Iran has not been pursueing a nuclear program. A friend of mine 25 years ago was married to an Iranian nuclear physicist.

Lesson: there is always a cost for action and a cost for inaction.

Topic 2 – Does the US have a desire to police the world? The answer is no. The United Nations had a clear purpose to prevent Saddam Hussein from getting out of control. The United Nations failed to perform it’s duty. Why? Key members, France, Germany and Russia were “in bed” financially with Saddam Hussein. If my memory is correct, our so called policing was welcome in World War II when the world was going down the toilet and close to Nazi domination.

Lesson: The US is forced into action by the irresponsibility of other nations. Fortunately, the Iraq war was a coalition of many countries including Great Britain and Australia.

Myth: The US is the cause of death and injuries to the Iraqi People. This is an outright lie. The people saying this are liars. Saddam Hussein, remnants of his regime, factional frictions and outside radical Islamic cowards are the cause. And yes, anyone that would attack innocent women and children or ask them to become a weapon, that person is the lowest level of coward. Radical Islamists, if you were real men, you would face American men face to face and not send women and children to do your evil killing.

Any questions, class?

Iraq War justification, Iraq War reasons, can we justify, George W Bush or Bill Clinton, media lies, political lies, truth

On February 23, 2008 I posted the following:

https://citizenwells.wordpress.com/2008/02/23/iraq-war-justification-iraq-war-reasons-can-we-justify-hillary-clinton-john-mccain-barrack-obama/

This post was a list of 10 quotes regarding Saddam Hussein. I did not provide the source of the quotes at that time. Many people, for whatever reason, believe only George W Bush took the posture indicated in the quotes, when in reality, the entire Clinton administration believed that Saddam Hussein had WMD, had used them on his own people, posed a real threat and that the US was ready to stop him. All of the quotes from the original post came from the Clinton Administration. Below are the original quotes, followed by the source and the dates. Also, below, I have supplied the links to the CNN articles that contain the quotes. Interesting, isn’t it? Think of all the lies that have been told about George W Bush and the acceptance of revisionist history.

” We must stop Saddam from ever again jeopardizing the
stability and security of his neighbors with weapons of mass
destruction.”  “The chemical weapons Saddam has used and the biological weapons we know he has tested pay no attention to borders and nationalities.”   Madeleine Albright, February 1, 1998

2.  “If diplomacy runs out, we have reserved the right to use
force and if we do so it will be substantial.”   Madeleine Albright, February 1, 1998

3.  “No one has done what Saddam Hussein has done, or is thinking of doing.  He is producing weapons of mass destruction, and he is qualitatively and quantitatively different from other dictators.”   Madeleine Albright, February 18, 1998

4.  “What we are doing is so that you all can sleep at night.  I am very proud of what we are doing.  We are the greatest nation in the world and what we are doing is being the indispensable nation, willing to make the world safe for our children and grandchildren, and for nations who follow the rules.”    Madeleine Albright, February 18, 1998

5.  “Saddam (Hussein) must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons.”   Bill Clinton, December 16, 1998

6.  “If Saddam can cripple the weapons inspections sytem and get away with it, he would conclude the international community, led by the United States, has simply lost its will.  He would surmise that he has free rein to rebuild his arsenal of destruction.”   Bill Clinton, December 16, 1998

7.  “Earlier today I ordered America’s armed forces to strike
military and security targets in Iraq.  They are joined by British forces.  Their mission is to attack Iraq’s nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors.  While other countires also had weapons of mass desctuction, Hussein is in a different category because he has used such weapons
against his own people and against his neighbors.   Bill Clinton, December 16, 1998

8.  “Along with Prime minister (Tony)Blair of Great Britain, I made it equally clear that if Saddam failed to cooperate fully we would be prepared to act without delay, diplomacy or warning.”   Bill Clinton, December 16, 1998

9.  “The best way to end that threat once and for all is with a new Iraqi goverment — a government ready to live in peace with its neighbors, a government that respects the rights of its people.”   Bill Clinton, December 16, 1998

10.  “But once more, the United States has proven that although we are never eager to use force, when we must act in America’s vital interests, we will do so.”   Bill Clinton, December 16, 1998

Douglas Kinnard, UVM professor of political science, The War managers, University of Vermont, Vietnam vs Iraq, Question for professor, General Kinnard

First of all, I believed that we should not be in Vietnam when the war was going on and I believe that even more so now. I also respect Americans that served in Vietnam and followed their conscience. Dwight D Eisenhower, in a 1961 speech, warned of the military industrial complex. Here is the quote:

“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.”

The rest of the speech can be viewed here:

http://coursesa.matrix.msu.edu/~hst306/documents/indust.html

I believe we must be on guard against the undue influence of armaments manufacturers. I also believe these financial gain sources played too big a role in our involvement in Vietnam. Of course, we still need to employ our checks and balances to guard against any undue influence.

Many have tried to connect imaginary dots to form an analogy between the Vietnam War and the Iraq War. The only strong analogy I can discern is that both were unpopular wars. I hope that all wars are unpopular wars. However, many choices in life are choosing the lesser of evils. Some wars such as The American Revolution, World War II and the Iraq War are the lesser of evils. If we had entered World War II earlier, I am certain that millions of lives could have been saved.
I am also convinced that if the United Nations had performed as it was chartered, our involvement in Iraq would have been radically different. Of course that was not possible with France, Germany and Russia being “in bed” with Saddam Hussein financially.

Douglas Kinnard, UVM professor of political science, former general in Vietnam and author of “The War Managers”, was interviewed in The Vermont Quarterly in the Fall 2007 issue. He speaks of his involvement with Vietnam as a general, in the military, and his opinion of the Vietnam War. At the end of the interview, he states, “Those who fail to learn from history are forced to repeat it.” I wholeheartedly agree with that statement, but would add that as long as the learning takes place from a broad based factual account of history and not revisionist history.

Professor Kinnard adds this statement at the end: “If Bush knew the real lessons of Vietnam, he would get out sooner than stay.” I would like a clarification of that statement. Was the statement made to appease the ultra liberal folks at The University Of Vermont, or was it a general (no pun intended) statement about lingering past our eminent usefulness?

Dr. Douglas Kinnard, I respectfully request your response. I do not want to misrepresent your statement.

Brattleboro VT, Bush Cheney impeachment, indictment, arrest, Vermont, provide proof

Is there anyone in Brattleboro Vermont that can provide a rational, fact based explanation for your recent vote to impeach George W Bush and Dick Cheney? Arrest Bush or Cheney, just try it! Can anyone in Brattleboro VT provide any facts that support your claims about President Bush. Brattleboro VT, do you believe the rest of the country is going to stand by you? Citizens of Brattleboro VT, where do you get your information? University of Vermont, an extremely liberal college, where anything goes? NY Times? Citizens of Brattleboro VT, do you wake up every morning and say “I hate Bush”? Citizens of Brattleboro VT, do you know the real facts leading up to the Iraq War, the fact finding and opinions of the Clinton Administration? Citizens of Brattleboro VT, are you aware of intelligence reports of countries such as Great Britain? Citizens of Brattleboro VT, are you aware that the United Nations failed to deal with Saddam Hussein due to France, Germany and Russia being “in bed” with Hussein in financial dealings? George W Bush is a honorable, sincere apolitical man who does not play to the polls like his predecessor. So, Citizens of Brattleboro VT, what is your excuse for not knowing or caring about the facts?

Citizens of Brattleboro VT, give me your response.

Iraq War justification, Iraq War reasons, can we justify, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Barack Obama

Below are some of the justifications for the Iraq War. What are your reactions to these quotes with 20/20 hindsight? Were we justified to invade Iraq? Were these statements credible and based on credible intelligence? Did Saddam Hussein use weapons of mass destruction? Respond with your comments.
