–if all records told the same tale–then the lie passed into
history and became truth. “Who controls the past,” ran the
Party slogan, “controls the future: who controls the present
controls the past.”…George Orwell, “1984″

A recent survey indicated that 15 % of Democrats believe that the economy is bad. Perhaps they selected a sample of mostly young and uneducated folks.

I just asked a classicly liberal older gentleman about his impression of the economy and he gave me an honest answer. He described it with emphasis as extremely bad.

Economic growth figures are frightening, the stated unemployment rate is the worst on record for months above 8 percent and the Labor Force Participation Rate has hit record lows. That is, the only reason that the unemployment rate is 8.1 percent instead of 11.1 percent or higher is because so many people have left the labor force.

From Bloomberg September 27, 2012.

“Plunge in Goods Orders May Restrain U.S. Expansion: Economy”

“Demand for U.S. durable goods other than transportation equipment unexpectedly dropped in August for a third consecutive month, signaling that slowdowns in business investment and exports will restrain the economic expansion.

Orders for goods meant to last at least three years, excluding volatile demand for airplanes and automobiles, fell 1.6 percent last month after decreasing 1.3 percent in July, the Commerce Department reported today in Washington. Total bookingsplunged 13.2 percent, the most since January 2009, as demand for civilian aircraft collapsed.

“The corporate sector is getting very nervous from a combination of worries about Europe, worries about the fiscal cliff and a general lack of confidence in the recovery,” saidEthan Harris, co-head of global economics research at Bank of America Corp. in New York, whose estimate for the drop in ex- transportation orders was the closest of economists surveyed.”

“The median forecast of 53 economists surveyed by Bloomberg projected a 0.2 percent gain in ex-transportation goods orders. The Commerce Department revised July data down from a previously reported 0.6 percent decrease.

The decline in total orders was more than twice as large as the 5 percent drop projected by the median estimate in the Bloomberg survey.

The world’s largest economy expanded at a 1.3 percent annual pace in the second quarter after growing at a 2 percent rate from January through March, other figures from the Commerce Department showed today. The revision, the third estimate for the quarter, compared with a previously reported 1.7 percent gain.”

I spoke to a young man a few days ago. He is employed in IT. He is supporting Obama and the Democrats and is obviously brainwashed. I do not exaggerate. Just as the folks in Nazi Germany and “1984” were constantly bombarded with the big lies, the young and ignorant are in this country.

He believed that the economy was better and that Obama had created jobs. I reminded him that the Democrats took control of both houses in January 2007 and that the unemployment rate where we stood is 10.2 percent. He did not know that. I explained that we were still in the worst economy since the great depression.

We still have work to do.

George Orwell warned us in “1984.”

Rush Limbaugh warned us again.

The 2012 election is nearing and the combination of Obama’s lies about creating jobs combined with the best efforts of the mainstream media to prop him up are working on Democrats.

From CBS Washington DC September 20, 2012.

“Study: Only 15 Percent Of Democrats Believe Economic News Is Bad”

“With just 47 days before the general election and Mitt Romney attempting to pivot the focus of the election back on the state of the economy, citizens with Democratic leanings are actually doing an about-face on the economy compared to their Republican counterparts, according to a recent study from the Pew Research Center.

New data found that just 15 percent of Democrats believe that recent economic news is mostly poor, a percentage that took a significant drop from the 31 percent of Democrats polled last month who did think that economic news was mostly bad. According to the study, the 15-percent clip is among the lowest percentages during President Barack Obama’s nearly four years in office.

But with those citizens with Republican leanings and no political leanings at all, the outlook remains the same. Sixty percent of Republicans find that most of the economic news is bad. Among independents, the percentage is 36 percent. Both of these data sets remain virtually unchanged from a month ago, according to the study.

The study, released on Sept. 11, could show Obama making gains on the economy, which has been what Romney ultimately has wanted to make the election about to this point, crystallized even further in his acceptance of the nomination at the Republican National Convention. Despite Romney’s efforts to turn the attention back to the economy following the backlash from the “47 percent” video, the data found that some Americans were actually beginning to feel better about the outlook of the economy. The percentage of people who feel that most of what they hear about the economy is bad dropped six percentage points in a month, from 41 percent to 35 percent, according to the study.”

The Greensboro News and Record has done a pretty good job lately of reporting the news about the local and state job situation. However, on Friday September 21, 2012, they printed an article that caused a double take and review.

The headline in the Business Section reads:

“Greensboro’s job picture brightens”

To the left the headline reads:

“Bank of America planning to cut 16,000 positions”

Below the article reads:

“American Airlines says it plans to lay off up to 72 people at Raleigh-Durham International Airport and more than 1,400 in Florida”

From the Greensboro News and Record September 21, 2012.
“More than 10 percent of people who want jobs in Greensboro still can’t find them.

But Greensboro’s defying the odds in another job statistic: The total number of people working in the city is now higher than it was before the recession began in 2008.

That puts the city in a category of one when compared with other cities in the region, the state and the nation, according to a new report from the Greensboro Partnership, Greensboro’s leading economic development agency.

Growth in total employment suggests that the city will ultimately have more jobs available for all the people looking for work.

Between January, 2008 and July, 2012, Greensboro’s workforce grew by 2.6 percent, meaning that 3,270 more people were working.”

http://www.news-record.com/content/2012/09/20/article/greensboro_workforce_growing

The article begins honestly with:

“More than 10 percent of people who want jobs in Greensboro still can’t find them.”

The article then tries to spin some job growth, which does not keep up with population growth, as good news. That is like falling down a well while grasping a rope and breaking both legs instead of dying.

The print edition contains the following statement:

“The unemployment rate remains high because the population has outgrown the number of available jobs, but as the number of people with jobs rises, that brings hope that unemployment will drop.”

Huh???

Here are the facts from Citizen Wells.

The latest stated unemployment rate in NC: 9.7 %.

The latest stated unemployment rate for Greensboro, High Point: 10.2 %.

The NC Labor Force Participation Rate is 62 % and is lower than the record setting national rate of 63.5.

And once again:

“Guilford (Large NC County) appears on it’s way to a third consecutive year with annual jobless rates in double digits. Economists say that likely hasn’t happened since the Great Depression.”…Greensboro News Record December 2, 2011

Obama youth indoctrination by teachers, North Rowan Salisbury NC teacher, Hitler youth, History repeating, Obama propagandists receive 5 Orwells

“Führer, my Führer, give me by God. Protect and preserve my life for long. You saved Germany in time of need. I thank you for my daily bread. Be with me for a long time, do not leave me, Führer, my Führer, my faith, my light, Hail to my Führer!”…Recited by Hitler youth

“Red and Yellow Black and White, all are equal in his sight, MMM MMM MMM, Barack Hussein Obama.”…Recited by school children in 2009

“With those children [Winston] thought, that wretched woman must lead a life of terror. Another year, two years, and they would be watching her night and day for symptoms of unorthodoxy. Nearly all children nowadays were horrible. What was worst of all was that by means of such organizations as the Spies they were systematically turned into ungovernable little savages, and yet this produced in them no tendency whatever to rebel against the discipline of the Party.”…George Orwell, “1984”

History is repeating again.

Nazi Germany indoctrinated youth in schools.

“Lowered Educational Standards

Throughout Germany, the entire teaching profession all the way up to university level had been purged of Jewish professors and anyone deemed politically unreliable regardless of their proven teaching abilities or achievements, including Nobel Prize recipients. Teachers who remained in the college classroom lived under the constant fear they might be denounced by one of their students and wind up in a concentration camp. This insecurity resulted in gross academic timidity which further lowered educational standards.

National Socialist teachers of questionable ability stepped into grammar school and high school classrooms to form young minds, strictly abiding by the Party motto: “The supreme task of the schools is the education of youth for the service of Volk and State in the National Socialist spirit.” They taught Nazi propaganda as fact which was then recited back by their students as unshakable points of view with no room for disagreement or discussion.

Over the years, the Hitler Youth organization would gradually supplant the traditional elementary and secondary school system and become the main force educating German youth. And the quality of that education only got worse. Students emerging from the elite Adolf Hitler Schools were in superb physical condition and thoroughly drilled in Nazi ideology, but lacked basic skills in math and science. Biology, for example, had been completely corrupted to advance Nazi racial doctrine.

Under Hitler, a school system once among the finest in the world, became substandard almost overnight. Nazi scientists, educated before Hitler, would later complain they were partially hindered in developing new super weapons by the recruitment of young graduates from the elite Nazi schools.

In 1936, all of the Catholic parochial and Protestant denominational schools were abolished. Christian holy days which had usually meant a day off from school were now ignored and classroom prayers were banned. Celebrations of Christmas and Easter were discouraged, replaced by pre-Christian Yule or Solstice celebrations. The Nazis later forced all teachers to renounce any affiliation with professional church organizations.”
“Schirach’s goal in 1936 was to enroll the entire population of ten-year-olds throughout Germany into the Hitler Youth as a present for Hitler on his 47th birthday. Called “The Year of the Jungvolk,” enormous pressure was put on young children to join. In school, they were pressured by Nazi-affiliated teachers.”

To those who support Barack Obama because:

They are die hard support any Democrat.

They are left wing, the end justifies the means, idealogues.

They are the me me me, give me crowd.

But especially to teachers, who influence and mold impressionable young minds and raise Obama to God like untouchable status,

I award 5 Orwells.

PP effluent from Obama and left.

Political Platitudes.

These are designed to appeal to Obama’s core support, the left, the elitists, the experts at spending other people’s money, like colleges and universities.

Obama PP in recent speeches.

In regard to the Republicans plan:

“three-point plan for $2 gas”

“Step one is to drill, step two is to drill, and step three is to keep on drilling.”

“not a strategy to solve our energy challenge.”

“It’s the easiest thing in the world to make phony election-year promises about lower gas prices,”

“What’s harder is to make a serious, sustained commitment to tackle a problem that may not be solved in one year or one term or even one decade.”

And straight from “1984” by George Orwell.

“In 2011, the United States relied less on foreign oil than in any of the last 16 years. Because of the investments we’ve made, the use of clean, renewable energy in this country has nearly doubled, and thousands of Americans have jobs because of it.”

Obama is speaking to his elitist, know it all support, such as the UNC University System, which recently raised tuition in a down economy.

This is a Truth Team moment.

While I agree that we need a comprehensive, common sense based energy program, we also need cheaper oil products in the short term. If Obama and his cronies really cared about poor and working class families, they would be concerned about rising gas prices which in turn raise the price of almost everything else, especially food prices. Obama appeases lower income folks with his lying rhetoric and the left with PP, Political Platitudes.

Obama states “not a strategy to solve our energy challenge.” in response to Republicans wanting lower gas prices. Obama’s startegy to help the economy and jobs has failed.

Obama, what is your stategy to help the poor and working families afford food.

More food stamps!

“phony election-year promises”

Obama is the king of phony election year promises.

Obama plan:

Tax

Spend

Promise

Blame

And in case you haven’t noticed, here is a chart presented here last year of the gas prices since Obama took office. I am certain you are aware of food price increases.

UNCG 10 percent tuition fee hike proposal, $660 increase in state, University of NC at Greensboro, Spending like drunken sailors, Out of control expansion

UNCG 10 percent tuition fee hike proposal, $660 increase in state, University of NC at Greensboro, Spending like drunken sailors, Out of control expansion

Drive through the campus of UNCG, the University of NC at Greensboro, on any day and you will notice a plethora of Obama stickers. Converse with the faculty and staff and the Obama, left wing support will be obvious. Therefore, what I am about to report will come as no surprise. The same kind of mentality that pervades the Obama camp, permeates UNCG and many other colleges and universities. Spending other people’s money.

Sadly this happens all too often in “institutions of higher learning,” where our young people are supposed to be prepared for life, to manage their own finances.

From the Greensboro News and Record November 16, 2011.

“UNCG proposes 10 percent hike in tuition, fees”

“Tuition would rise 10 percent for UNCG students next year according to a proposal the university’s tuition and fee committee presented Tuesday night to the Student Government Association.

In-state undergraduates would see a $660 increase in their bills next year — an extra $345 for tuition and $315 for fees, bringing total tuition and fees to $6,158.

The increase would generate $7.4 million, with half of it used to offset budget reductions. The rest of the money would be used for need-based financial aid and pay increases for faculty, who have gone without raises in recent years.

UNC leaders are allowing chancellors to propose increases above the 6.5 percent cap to help make up for budget cuts.

The universities’ boards of trustees and the UNC Board of Governors must approve any tuition increases.

The Board of Governors isn’t expected to vote until February but has asked campuses to submit their proposals by early December.

UNCG Chancellor Linda Brady said next year’s proposed increase is a temporary salve.

“That doesn’t restore the $26 million cut that we took at UNCG just this year,” she told students and faculty during the meeting in the Elliott University Center.

The meeting got off to a rocky start, with a group of about a dozen students interrupting it, calling the meeting a “sham.” They recited from slips of paper they held, demanding that there be no hike in tuition.

They also asked that the money UNCG is using to build student housing in the Glenwood neighborhood be used to close the budget gap.

Brady said housing fees will repay the debt on that project.

University police escorted the group from the room.

While the remainder of the meeting was mostly civil, students did ask some pointed questions, such as the amount of Brady’s salary and whether administrators would be willing to take a pay cut.

Brady, who answered that she makes $324,000 annually, said that employees have not been given pay raises in four years.”

I am infuriated and insulted on several levels by this move.

  • I am a lifelong resident of NC and this reflects poorly on the state.
  • Education and influences on young people is one of my concerns. Raising costs by 10 percent in the worst economy in my lifetime is an outrage.
  • I began college at UNCG and was on their first wrestling team and the golf team. Unlike Steve Jobs who made a conscious decision to leave a college curriculum and seek knowledge independently, I lucked into computer software classes taught by an IBM employee. I took several more classes at UNCG, other colleges as well as from the IBM Education Center in Washington, DC. I thank God that I was removed from the liberal arts atmosphere at UNCG, even though then they exercised more control over spending.
  • I taught college level computer science courses years ago (not at UNCG.) I have insights into the academic  and business worlds.
  • I have watched UNCG for years spending like drunken sailors. They seem to be more concerned about building and expansion than education and keeping it affordable for more students.

The article states:

“The meeting got off to a rocky start, with a group of about a dozen students interrupting it, calling the meeting a “sham.” They recited from slips of paper they held, demanding that there be no hike in tuition.

They also asked that the money UNCG is using to build student housing in the Glenwood neighborhood be used to close the budget gap.

Brady said housing fees will repay the debt on that project.”

The students ask a valid question. “will repay”. When?

I have watched UNCG spend enormous sums on athletic facilities, student housing and generally swallowing up property surrounding the campus, including the Glenwood area.

UNCG Chancellor Linda Brady stated that she makes $324,000 annually and that there have been no pay raises in four years. Where I come from, $324,000 is a lot of pay for poor performance.

Perhaps Chancellor Brady should be removed, with a savings $324,000, along with others responsible for this fiasco, and replaced for a while by a volunteer panel of business people.

Occupy Wall Street protesters composed of Obama supporters Labor thugs and uneducated sheep, Imbeciles of America untie (unite)

While viewing the Occupy Wall Street protest, I am reminded of a Far Side cartoon by Gary Larson.

Occupy Wall Street scenes.

The protest is composed of the usual suspects, Obama supporters, Labor thugs and uneducated sheep. Most of the protesters are the hard core Obama supporters who believe that the demonized Wall Street and Tea party folks are to blame for the economy and jobs situation. As Professor Kingsfield stated on “The Paper Chase” they have “skulls full of mush.” Glenn Beck stated earlier today that he was considering cutting off funding for his children’s college “education.” Beck is rightfully concerned. If the youth of today had been encouraged to seek the truth and make informed decisions, Obama would not occupy the White House. Of course it is not all Obama’s fault. The far left in cahoots with a incompetent Congress caused gas prices to climb and affect the price of nearly all goods. And let’s not forget banning coal mining which has led to importing coal in some areas.
They speak of destroying capitalism yet they enjoy it’s fruits.

Maybe if they were really educated they could understand what I just wrote.

Time Constitution article, One Document Under Siege, It’s the Constitution stupid, Tenth Amendment

Time Constitution article, One Document Under Siege, It’s the Constitution stupid,  Tenth Amendment
“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.”…Abraham Lincoln

“If in the opinion of the People, the distribution or modification of the Constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates. But let there be no change by usurpation, for through this in one instance, may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed.”…George Washington
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it”…Joseph Goebbels

From Time June 23, 2011.

“Here are a few things the framers did not know about: World War II.
DNA. Sexting. Airplanes. The atom. Television. Medicare.
Collateralized debt obligations. The germ theory of disease.
Miniskirts. The internal combustion engine. Computers. Antibiotics.
Lady Gaga.

People on the right and left constantly ask what the framers would say
about some event that is happening today. What would the framers say
about whether the drones over Libya constitute a violation of Article
I, Section 8, which gives Congress the power to declare war? Well,
since George Washington didn’t even dream that man could fly, much
less use a global-positioning satellite to aim a missile, it’s hard to
say what he would think. What would the framers say about whether a
tax on people who did not buy health insurance is an abuse of
Congress’s authority under the commerce clause? Well, since James
Madison did not know what health insurance was and doctors back then
still used leeches, it’s difficult to know what he would say. And what
would Thomas Jefferson, a man who owned slaves and is believed to have
fathered children with at least one of them, think about a half-white,
half-black American President born in Hawaii (a state that did not
exist)? Again, hard to say.”

“Where’s the Crisis?

A new focus on the Constitution is at the center of our political
stage with the rise of the Tea Party and its almost fanatical focus on
the founding document. The new Republican Congress organized a reading
of all 7,200 words of an amended version of the Constitution on the
House floor to open its first session. As a counterpoint to the rise
of constitutional originalists (those who believe the document should
be interpreted only as the drafters understood it), liberal legal
scholars analyze the text just as closely to find the elasticity they
believe the framers intended. Everywhere there seems to be debate
about the scope and meaning and message of the Constitution. This is a
healthy thing. Even the framers would agree on that.”

“If the Constitution was intended to limit the federal government, it
sure doesn’t say so. Article I, Section 8, the longest section of the
longest article of the Constitution, is a drumroll of congressional
power. And it ends with the “necessary and proper” clause, which
delegates to Congress the power “to make all laws which shall be
necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers,
and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of
the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.” Limited
government indeed.”
“It is true that the framers, like Tea Partyers, feared concentrated
central power more than disorder. They were, after all,
revolutionaries. To them, an all-powerful state was a greater threat
to liberty than discord and turbulence. Jefferson, like many of the
antifederalists, did think the Constitution created too much
centralized power. Most of all, the framers created a weak Executive
because they feared kings. They created checks and balances to
neutralize any concentration of power. This often makes for disorderly
government, but it does forestall any one branch from having too much
influence. The framers weren’t afraid of a little messiness. Which is
another reason we shouldn’t be so delicate about changing the
Constitution or reinterpreting it. It was written in a spirit of
change and revolution and turbulence. It was not written in stone. Its
purpose was to create a government that could unite and lead and
govern a new nation, a nation the framers hoped would grow in size and
strength in ways they could not imagine. And it did.”

“Some opponents of birthright citizenship argue that illegal immigrants
are not under U.S. jurisdiction and therefore their children should
not automatically become citizens, but this argument doesn’t hold up
under scrutiny. Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has suggested
he might offer an amendment to overturn the principle of birthright
citizenship. I’ve always thought it odd that a nation united not by
blood or religion or ethnic identity but by certain extraordinary
ideas is a nation where citizenship is conferred on the basis of where
you were physically born. It’s equally strange to me that a nation
that was forged through immigration — and is still formed by
immigration — is also a nation that makes it constitutionally
impossible for someone who was not physically born here to run for
President. (Yes, the framers had their reasons for that, but those
reasons have long since vanished.)”

“The Constitution
works so well precisely because it is so opaque, so general, so open
to various interpretations. Originalists contend that the Constitution
has a clear, fixed meaning. But the framers argued vehemently about
its meaning. For them, it was a set of principles, not a code of laws.
A code of laws says you have to stop at the red light; a constitution
has broad principles that are unchanging but that must accommodate
each new generation and circumstance.”

“We can pat ourselves on the back about the past 223 years, but we
cannot let the Constitution become an obstacle to the U.S.’s moving
into the future with a sensible health care system, a globalized
economy, an evolving sense of civil and political rights. The
Constitution, as Martin Luther King Jr. said in his great speech on
the Mall, is a promissory note. That note had not been fulfilled for
African Americans. But I would say the Constitution remains a
promissory note, one in which “We the People” in each generation try
to create that more perfect union.”

The primary motive for this article was to make money for Time. I get that.

However, the article is so full of half truths and lies mingled with some truths, lib speak and orwellian speak, it is difficult to react to it in a rationale manner. I do not want to be the proverbial person arguing with the fool .

First, “Here are a few things the framers did not know about:”

What is their point? The founders were intimately familiar with tyranny and far more hardships that I hope that we ever know.

Second, “Tea Party and its almost fanatical focus on
the founding document.”

In typical left wing fashion they insult decent Americans who uphold and defend the Constitution. Is breathing, drinking water and eating fanaticism?

Third, “If the Constitution was intended to limit the federal government, it
sure doesn’t say so.” The founding fathers realized that the original Constitution focused too much power in the federal branch and added the Bill of Rights, the first 10 amendments. The Tenth Amendment alone makes it clear that the Federal government is not all powerful.

Fourth, “is also a nation that makes it constitutionally
impossible for someone who was not physically born here to run for
President. (Yes, the framers had their reasons for that, but those
reasons have long since vanished.)” In typical left wing arrogant fashion, they know more than the out dated old fuddy duddies.

And lastly, my ending response to the article ending.

“A constitution in and of itself guarantees nothing. Bolshevik Russia
had a constitution, as did Nazi Germany. Cuba and Libya have
constitutions. A constitution must embody something that is in the
hearts of the people. In the midst of World War II, the great judge
Learned Hand gave a speech in New York City’s Central Park that came
to be known as “The Spirit of Liberty.” It was a dark time, with
freedom and liberty under threat in Europe. Hand noted that we are
Americans by choice, not birth. That we are Americans precisely
because we seek liberty and freedom — not only freedom from oppression
but freedom of speech and belief and action. “What do we mean when we
say that first of all we seek liberty?” he asked. “I often wonder
whether we do not rest our hopes too much upon constitutions, upon
laws and upon courts.”

If you read the above carefully, they make my point. That is, we had a upheld, intact Constitution that allowed Learned Hand to speak. Perhaps if the good citizens of Nazi Germany had rested their ” hopes too much upon constitutions, upon laws and upon courts” a disaster could have been avoided.

It’s the Constitution stupid!

Not a suggestion.

Trump birth certificate questioned, Obama birth certificate ignored, Lies & misinformation continue

“Why has Obama, for over 2 years, employed numerous private and government attorneys to avoid presenting a legitimate birth certificate and college records?”…Citizen Wells and millions of concerned Americans

“Those who can do, those who can’t teach.”…George Bernard Shaw

“Those who can’t teach or do anything else productive must be reporters.”…Citizen Wells

From ABC News March 29, 2011.

“Donald Trump learned the hard way this week that if you’re going to call on the president to release his official birth certificate, you’d better do the same.

Trump, who has been putting pressure on Obama lately to make public his long-form birth certificate from Hawaii, decided to set a good example and release his own on Monday. Only problem was, the document that Trump provided to the conservative Website Newsmax wasn’t his actual birth certificate, but rather a  “hospital certificate of birth.”

On Tuesday, Trump, who is contemplating a presidential run in 2012, sought to correct the oversight, providing a copy of his official birth certificate issued by the New York City Department of Health to ABC News.

It shows that “Donald John Trump” was born June 14, 1946 in Jamaica Hospital in Queens. It lists his father as Fred C. Trump and his mother as Mary Mac Leod. The date of the report is listed as June 14, 1946.

The image came with an accompanying memo from a member of Trump’s staff.

“A ‘birth certificate’ and a ‘certificate of live birth’ are in no way the same thing, even though in some cases they use some of the same words,” wrote Trump staffer Thuy Colayco in a message to ABC News. “One officially confirms and records a newborn child’s identity and details of his or her birth, while the other only confirms that someone reported the birth of a child. Also, a ‘certificate of live birth’ is very easy to get because the standards are much lower, while a ‘birth certificate’ is only gotten through a long and detailed process wherein identity must be proved beyond any doubt. If you had only a certificate of live birth, you would not be able to get a proper passport from the Post Office or a driver’s license from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Therefore, there is very significant difference between a ‘certificate of live birth’ and a ‘birth certificate’ and one should never be confused with the other.”
Trump has been turning up the volume on his calls for Obama, who has been the target of allegations that he was not born in the United States by so-called “birthers,” to release his official birth certificate.

“This guy either has a birth certificate or he doesn’t,” Trump said in an interview on Fox News on Monday. “I didn’t think this was such a big deal, but I will tell you, it’s turning out to be a very big deal because people now are calling me from all over saying please don’t give up on this issue.”

The Obama campaign released a “certification of live birth,” which is a shorter document that carries the same legal weight as the long one, in 2008.”

I suppose I should congratulate Michael Falcone for getting the title of the document posted on the internet for Obama as a Certification of Live birth.

The audacity of ends justifying means goes on. Obama has been given a free pass until now and Donald Trump presents a real document that provides information about his birth and the biased media pounces on it as insufficient and lauds the COLB as gospel. This was probably Trump’s intention.

Note the following Orwellian spin from the article:

“The Obama campaign released a “certification of live birth,” which is a shorter document that carries the same legal weight as the long one, in 2008.””

Same legal weight? To prove natural born citizenship status?

NO.

Ok, reporters, liberals and other low IQ individuals. Pay close attention.

Certification of Live Birth, State of Hawaii format, posted on the internet, allegedly for Obama, 101.

  • Per Hawaii law, a person born outside of HI can obtain a COLB.
  • There is no proof that the internet COLB was obtained by Obama.
  • The internet COLB has never been authenticated as coming from Hawaii.
  • A COLB from Hawaii may be legal for some transactions where citizenship must be proved, but not to insure natural born citizenship status for the presidency.
  • A long form birth certificate, such as John McCain produced, is required for most evidence for such everyday activities as playing Little Leage Baseball.

Ed Koch Palin defense, Palin highly intelligent,  We should denounce unfair false and wicked charges

I heard Rush Limbaugh mention recently that Ed Koch, former mayor of New York City, had not only defended Sarah Palin, but praised her. God bless Ed Koch.

From Real Clear Politics january 18, 2011.

“As I see it, in the current battle for public opinion Sarah Palin has defeated her harsh and unfair critics.

After the January 8 shooting of U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords and the murder of six others in Tucson, Arizona, some television talking heads and members of the blogosphere denounced her and held her in part responsible for creating a climate of hatred that resulted in the mass attacks.

An example is Joe Scarborough and his crew on the “Morning Joe” show, which I watch and generally enjoy every morning at 6:30 a.m. when I rise to start the day. Because Palin designated Congresswoman Giffords and others for defeat in the November elections by the use of crosshairs on website maps of the Congressional districts, they blamed Palin for creating an atmosphere that caused Jared Loughner (whom everyone now recognizes as being mentally disturbed) to embark on the shooting and killing spree.”

“How dare Sarah Palin, cried the commentators, use that phrase to describe the criticism of her by those who blamed her for creating the atmosphere that set Loughner off in his murderous madness. Some took the position that it proved their ongoing charges that she is not an intelligent person and probably did not know what the phrase meant historically. In my opinion, she was right to denounce her critics and use blood libel to describe the unfair criticism that she had been subject to.”

“Why do I defend Palin in this case? I don’t agree with her political philosophy: She is an arch conservative. I am a liberal with sanity. I know that I am setting myself up for attack when I ask, why did Emile Zola defend Dreyfus? Palin is no Dreyfus and I am certainly no Zola. But all of us have an obligation, particularly those in politics and public office, to denounce, when we can, the perpetrators of horrendous libels and stand up for those falsely charged. We should denounce unfair, false and wicked charges not only when they are made against ourselves, our friends or our political party but against those with whom we disagree. If we are to truly change the poisonous political atmosphere that we all complain of, including those who create it, we should speak up for fairness when we can.

In the 2008 presidential race when Sarah Palin’s name was first offered to the public by John McCain as his running mate, I said at the time that she “scared the hell out of me.” My reference was to the content of her remarks, not to her power to persuade voters.

It was McCain who lost the presidential election, not Palin. Since that time she has established that she has enormous power to persuade people. A self-made woman who rose from PTA mother to Governor of Alaska, she is one of the few speakers in public life who can fill a stadium. Her books are enormous successes. Her television program about Alaska has been a critical and economic success. When Sarah Palin addresses audiences, they rise to their feet in support and applause. She is without question a major leader of the far right faction in the Republican Party and its ally the Tea Party.

I repeat my earlier comment that she “scares the hell out of me.” Nevertheless, she is entitled to fair and respectful treatment. The fools in politics today in both parties are those who think she is dumb. I’ve never met her, but I’ve always thought that she is highly intelligent but not knowledgeable in many areas and politically uninformed. I don’t believe she will run for president in 2012 or that she would be elected if she did. But I do believe she is equal in ability to many of those in the Republican Party seeking that office.

Many women understand what she has done for their cause. She will not be silenced nor will she leave the heavy lifts to the men in her Party. She will not be falsely charged, remain silent, and look for others – men – to defend her. She is plucky and unafraid.

While I disagree with her and I am prepared to oppose her politically, in the spirit of longed-for civility I say, Ms. Palin you are in a certain sense an example of the American dream: You have the courage to stand up and present your vision of America to its people. Your strength and lack of fear make America stronger and are examples to be emulated by girls and boys, men and women who are themselves afraid to speak up. You provide the example that they need for self-assurance.”

Obama speech writer excels, Rhetoric doesn’t match actions, Obama camp continues Orwellian hate speech, Orwellian word smithing

“We control life, Winston, at all its levels. You are imagining that there is something called human nature which will be outraged by what we do and will turn against us. But we create human nature. Men are infinitely malleable.”…George Orwell, “1984″

The speech that Obama gave in Tucson recently was appropriate. The pep rally setting and actions of some in the audience were not. Obama’s speech writer did a good job and Obama read it well. However, these are just words, and as we know, actions speak louder than words.

The Citizen Wells blog began comparing our world, increasingly controlled by the Obama camp by mid 2008, to that of “1984” by George Orwell. The equivalent themes of lies being broadcast on the screens inside each home, the altering of history and hate speech, were all too reminiscent of a Orwellian society.

Sarah Palin, like Goldstein in “1984” and the Jews in Nazi germany, has been the focus of much of the hate emanating from the Obama camp.

Reprinted from Citizen Wells November 20, 2009.

“What has been will be again,
       what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.”…Ecclesiastes 1:9 (NIV)

“I took with me certain simple criteria with which to measure.
That which made for more life, for physical and spiritual health, was good;
that which made for less life, which hurt, dwarfed and distorted life, was bad.”…Jack London

“Before the Hate had proceeded for thirty seconds, uncontrollable exclamations of rage were breaking out from half the people in the room.”
“the sight or even the thought of Goldstein produced fear and anger automatically.”
“He was an object of hatred more constant than either Eurasia or Eastasia.”
“There were also whispered stories of a terrible book, a compendium of all the heresies”
“In it’s second minute the Hate rose to a frenzy. People were leaping up and down in their places and shouting at the tops of their voices”… George Orwell “1984″

Lies

Leftists

Liberalism

If you are offended by references to the Bible, good versus evil or anything that is not politically correct, you are in the wrong place.

Everyone is tap dancing around the attacks on Sarah Palin. People with the best of intentions speak of her as a conservative female threatening the philosophies and positions of those on the left. Let’s call this what it is. This is a classic struggle between good and evil, right versus wrong.

The modern day Democrat Party is controlled by far left socialists who are driven by a message of hate. Hate George Bush, Hate America and recently Hate Sarah Palin. The Beatles, in their song “Revolution”, had this to say:

“But when you want money
for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait”

“You say you’ll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it’s the institution
Well, you know
You better free you mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
You ain’t going to make it with anyone anyhow”

It seems the leftist Democrats have covered all the bases. Hate, change the Constitution and carrying pictures of  Chairman Mao (Anita Dunn).

Sarah Palin is not a perfect person, her humanity prevents that. She is, however a good person who loves her family, her country and follows her moral compass, her concept of God, the creator of all. She is against many of the ideological positions that have slowly taken hold of this country.

Sarah Palin represents what is right about this country. She tries to live her life by doing the right thing. She apparently intimidates those who believe:

  • Women should follow the dictates of the Democrat Party.
  • Abortion is always ok and should not be reserved for the lesser of evils.
  • There is no God.
  • There is no right or wrong.
  • The founding fathers and US Constitution are out of vogue and not relevant to modern issues.
  • European countries should be emulated.
  • A Government option will improve health care.
  • Global warming is real and is mainly the fault of Americans.
  • An endangered fish is more important than endangered humans.
  • Drilling for oil is always wrong.
  • Terrorists are regular criminals with constitutional rights.
  • Patriotism, Religion and Guns are not fashionable.

I am next going to refer to Jesus of Nazareth. The life and tenets of Jesus are known by Christians, Jews and Muslims, so most of you should understand what I am about to write. While Sarah Palin cannot be compared to Jesus on one level, reactions to the good in Sarah Palin and other children of the light are paralleled in the reactions to Jesus, his teachings and actions.  The hypocrites and evil doers of Jesus’ time attacked him and demanded  his crucifixion.

The modern day hypocrites have put Sarah Palin under a microscope. They employ legions to fact check her statements and her new book and gave Barack Obama a free ride on his books and election campaign. As Jesus would state, they look for a speck in Palin’s eye and ignore the beam in theirs.
I wish to make an important point. It is ok to disgree with Sarah Palin. Since Palin embraces American values, she would be the first to agree. It is not ok to trash, lie about and attack Sarah Palin. This is wrong (remember, most of us believe in right and wrong.) When you attack Sarah Palin, you attack America and decent Americans and we are not going to take it anymore.

This is fair warning to those, and I do not care who you are, who viciously attack Sarah Palin. If you are a company like NewsWeek, that belittled Palin with the sexist magazine cover, we are going to boycott you. If you are a politician, we are going to run you out of office. If I personally hear someone attack Palin, I am going to quietly get in their face and ask why they hate America. I suggest you do the same.

Generally, I do believe we should pray for those who have lost their way. However, there is a concept called righteous indignation. A response, sadly lacking in many of those who profess to be Christians. And how ironic. Jesus, who was all about love for thy neighbor, entered the temple, saw the moneychanger’s wrongful acts, and overturned the tables in righteous indignation.

The lesson is simple. We must rise up in righteous indignation and say no more to attacks on Sarah Palin and others.

And be certain you are clear about this.

This is a struggle between good and evil.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”… Ephesians 6:12.
