The primary motive for this article was to make money for Time. I get that.
However, the article is so full of half truths and lies mingled with some truths, lib speak and orwellian speak, it is difficult to react to it in a rationale manner. I do not want to be the proverbial person arguing with the fool .
First, “Here are a few things the framers did not know about:”
What is their point? The founders were intimately familiar with tyranny and far more hardships that I hope that we ever know.
Second, “Tea Party and its almost fanatical focus on
the founding document.”
In typical left wing fashion they insult decent Americans who uphold and defend the Constitution. Is breathing, drinking water and eating fanaticism?
Third, “If the Constitution was intended to limit the federal government, it
sure doesn’t say so.” The founding fathers realized that the original Constitution focused too much power in the federal branch and added the Bill of Rights, the first 10 amendments. The Tenth Amendment alone makes it clear that the Federal government is not all powerful.
Fourth, “is also a nation that makes it constitutionally
impossible for someone who was not physically born here to run for
President. (Yes, the framers had their reasons for that, but those
reasons have long since vanished.)” In typical left wing arrogant fashion, they know more than the out dated old fuddy duddies.
And lastly, my ending response to the article ending.

constitutions. A constitution must embody something that is in the

freedom and liberty under threat in Europe. Hand noted that we are
Americans by choice, not birth. That we are Americans precisely
because we seek liberty and freedom — not only freedom from oppression
but freedom of speech and belief and action. “What do we mean when we
say that first of all we seek liberty?” he asked. “I often wonder
whether we do not rest our hopes too much upon constitutions, upon
laws and upon courts.”
If you read the above carefully, they make my point. That is, we had a upheld, intact Constitution that allowed Learned Hand to speak. Perhaps if the good citizens of Nazi Germany had rested their ” hopes too much upon constitutions, upon laws and upon courts” a disaster could have been avoided.
It’s the Constitution stupid!

That is the only conclusion one can draw from the misinformation, disinformation and disinterest they have shown to the serious questions swirling around not only the unique case of Barack Obama but also to the definition of “natural born citizen” in future presidential elections.
It’s not unprecedented that failing republics dumb down eligibility requirements for the presidency. It’s not unprecedented that failing republics ignore or obscure eligibility requirements for the presidency. It’s not unprecedented that failing republics make tragic mistakes in permitting non-qualified candidates to serve in the presidency.
It happened in 1932 in Germany with a candidate named Adolf Hitler.
In fact, this tragedy, which resulted in the deaths of tens of millions of innocents and the utter destruction of the German republic, is documented in the biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer by Eric Metaxas.
We learn that on March 13, 1932, the day the German national election was being held to determine who would be president, “Nazi rowdies rode around in the backs of trucks with megaphones, stirring things up. A month earlier Hitler was found ineligible to run since he was born and reared in Austria. But this problem was strenuously shoved through a loophole, and he would run after all.”
On Jan. 30, 1933, Hitler became the democratically elected president of Germany.
Imagine how the course of history might have been changed had that “loophole” not been found – if the German people, political elite and media elite had held firm to their constitution that required presidents to be German-born when Hitler clearly was not.
I can almost visualize the reaction to what I am saying here: “Farah is comparing Obama to Hitler!”
No, I am not.
Hitler is in a unique historical class of tyrants and fiends and mass murderers. There’s Hitler and Josef Stalin and Mao Zedong. Together they are responsible for the deaths of more than 100 million people.
For perspective, Obama has merely contributed to the economic and moral degradation of the greatest country on earth.
I use the Hitler illustration only to demonstrate there are real-world consequences to bending the rules in constitutional republics for political expediency.
That’s what happened in Germany in 1932.
It is happening again in America in the 21st century.”

Interesting post, CW, from Time Magazine. I think C.S. Lewis called this sort of thing “chronological snobbery.” Because we live in a more modern and “enlightened” age, we are better able to judge things, not held in by the prejudices and ignorance of a former age, as this type of snobbery goes. Problem is, human nature hasn’t changed and the older age had their equivalent things to flying and Lady Gaga. The horse and buggy did them fine. Just watch the mini-series on John Adams to see portrayed the French Lady Gagas with their freakish makeup.
There are things the older ages did better than we do. The Bible came from an older age. Shakespeare came from an older age. So did Bach and Beethoven and so did our Constitution.
The Elites are chronological snobs. They have a complex which their snobbery tries to hide. In truth they feel inferior. So they must try to put down what came before as old fashioned and out of date. They are ignorant and foolish.

Why did Obama, Clinton and Holder do this? It’s obvious to even the most casual observer; they did this to further the propaganda they pushed in early 2009 – that the U.S. has a gun problem because “90%” of the confiscated weapons in Mexico are coming from the U.S. – in order to justify more aggressive restrictions on gun ownership in the U.S.
Keep in mind that when the operation was created in 2009, the Obama administration had not anticipated that it would be exposed. The Democrats had a majority in both the House and Senate and any investigation would have had to have been brought forward by their own party – which Obama, Clinton and Holder knew would not happen. That Dodd-Frank Act seems to me like a time bomb waiting to go off, and when it does, then the uninformed masses “will know what’s in it.” I am leery about too much gold being held for an investment for the very reason you give. [This is a follow up to my last report, US SUPREME COURT PRECEDENT STATES THAT OBAMA IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT. ]
Since my last report, many people have asked why the definition in Minor v. Happersett of a “natural-born citizen” (as a person born in the US to parents who are citizens) is binding legal precedent. The answer is in the Court’s holding that Virginia Minor was a US citizen…because she was born in the US to parents who were citizens. That part of the actual holding is listed in the official syallbus of the case.
And furthermore, Minor was the first case to hold that women are equal citizens to men. To this day, that case is still cited as the first US Supreme Court decision which recognized that women were, in fact, citizens. It is still precedent for that determination. Google [ “minor v happersett” “women are citizens” ] and review the results. A multitude of articles discuss the holding of Minor – that women are US citizens.

Section 4 forces me to notify a governmental official, which I did when I notified the Director of the FBI.
I will also be mailing him and the special agent in Hawaii the final 28 page report.
If they do nothing, read section 3 of the law–interesting isn’t it? If I don’t get an answer from them that they are doing something, then next step is to notify every Federal Judge that will get a copy of the report along with the final Affidavit. If I don’t hear from them, then it will be every Federal Attorney will get copies. The Final ones on the list listed under Section 4 is the Military. Well then line Generals will get a copy. After all I am compelled by the Federal statutes to notify these officials.
Since I am the one that proved Obama’s COLB is a Forgery I guess it is going to be my job. You may please contact the news media and the newspapers and anyone else you can, like Congressman and Senators and maybe between both of our efforts we will make it so hot for him that he will resign.
