Obama accusers Larry Sinclair et al, Politico bias, Unsubstantiated allegations, Ben Smith, Herman Cain vs Obama

From World Net Daily November 09, 2011.

“Can we now talk about Obama’s accusers?”

“”Politico isn’t reprinting Sinclair’s allegations because they are unsubstantiated.” So wrote Ben Smith of Politico on June 18, 2008.

Those were the days!

Smith was referring to Larry Sinclair, who had enraged the Obama faithful by renting space at the National Press Club, there to share his allegations of a drug-fueled sex tryst with Barack Obama in 1999.

Smith, however, was not at all shy about sharing what he knew about Larry Sinclair. Indeed, by the end of the Politico article, the reader knew more about Sinclair, all of it unsavory and most of it likely true, than he did about Obama.

That much said, when Sinclair made his own case at the National Press Club – unfiltered by attorneys and unaccompanied by Gloria Allred – he did so in exquisite and oddly believable detail.

Sinclair claimed to have fellated Obama twice during their two-day encounter, but he said it as matter-of-factly if he had shaken his hand or slapped his back.

The accusation Sinclair had come to make had to do not with sex but with drugs. According to Sinclair, he and the then-state senator shared a few lines of cocaine before Obama procured some crack for the two to smoke. As Sinclair related, Obama’s claim that he had not done drugs since college was a lie.

When the Obama camp first became aware of Sinclair’s accusations in 2007, an Obama liaison, “Mr. Young,” reportedly contacted Sinclair to tease out the story.

Through numerous calls and text messages, Young let it be known that he himself was intimately involved with Obama. After some back and forth, at least according to Sinclair, Young finally told Sinclair that Obama did not intend to be any more forthcoming about his drug use.

Allegedly, Sinclair and Young last communicated in early December 2007. A few weeks later, according to the police report, Donald Young, the openly gay choirmaster of Obama’s church, was found dead at his “residence” of “multiple gunshot wounds.”

According to an earlier police report, on Nov. 17, 2007, Larry Bland, another allegedly gay member of the Trinity United Church, was also found dead in his “home” of “multiple gunshot wounds.”

At the press conference, Sinclair made no accusations. He simply shared the phone numbers he had for Young and Obama and asked the reporters to check their records against his own during the relevant time periods. They seemed disinclined.

In the Q & A, the first reporter asked why Sinclair had not come forward in 1999. To the reporter, this failure apparently undermined Sinclair’s “credibility.”

Sinclair chuckled, as he should have, at the question’s absurdity. What sense would it have made for him to rat out a lowly state senator on a drug and sex escapade he himself had initiated?

Sinclair had come forward in 2007 and done his first YouTube video in January 2008. At the time, Hillary Clinton would have been the obvious beneficiary. That did not stop the second reporter from asking whether Sinclair was being funded by the Republican Party. Sinclair laughed this one off, too.

Despite his best efforts and an occasional piece in the Globe, Sinclair’s story reached its high water mark on that bizarre June day at the National Press Club.

His name remains as foreign to Obama fans as Juanita Broaddrick was to Bill Clinton’s. The Democrats who rush to the Internet each day to find new allegations about Herman Cain sleep safely knowing that their man has nothing to fear from an inquiring media.”

“Unlike Cain, Obama has not had a single charge leveled against him by a woman. For Obama fans concerned about re-election, this is a mixed blessing.

“Cosby never got the girl on ‘I Spy,'” Obama laments in his 1995 memoir “Dreams from My Father,” but in his own retelling, he does not do much better.

Although Obama spent 13 years on the mainland as a single man, on only one occasion in “Dreams” does Obama make any reference to his love life.

In a brief recounting, he tells his half-sister Auma that in addition to a white woman he had loved and lost, “There are several black ladies out there who’ve broken my heart just as good.”

The problem is that Obama shares with the reader not a word about any of the black ladies, and not one of them has come forward on her own.

The white woman in question presents a different set of problems. In terms of height, hair color, eye color, parentage, and highly specific place of origin – namely a large country estate with a lake in the middle – she is a dead ringer for Bill Ayers’s lost love, the late Weatherwoman, Diana Oughton.

One can imagine the conversations between Obama and his muse. “Hey, bro, we got 457 pages on the bachelor king of Chicago, and you don’t get so much as kissed?”

“Make something up, Bill. Just be sure it’s by a girl.””

I am glad that Politico has lowered Obama’s status from Messiah to prophet and actually covered some of the no brainer negative aspects about his personality and administration. I am glad that Politico covered some real problem aspects of Obama, but this is still fluff journalism.

“7 stories Barack Obama doesn’t want told”

“The Obama White House argues that all of these storylines are inaccurate or unfair. In some cases these anti-Obama narratives are fanned by Republicans, in some cases by reporters and commentators
But they all are serious threats to Obama, if they gain enough currency to become the dominant frame through which people interpret the president’s actions and motives.”

  • “He thinks he’s playing with Monopoly money”
  • “Too much Leonard Nimoy”
  • “That’s the Chicago Way”
  • “He’s a pushover”
  • “He sees America as another pleasant country on the U.N. roll call, somewhere between Albania and Zimbabwe”
  • “President Pelosi”
  • “He’s in love with the man in the mirror”

John Harris and Politico, don’t you think that Obama does not want the American public to know that he has spent approx 2 million dollars avoiding producing proof that he is a natural born citizen? How about the deeper ties to Rezko, Blagojevich, et al when he was a IL Senator? Perhaps he would rather not answer questions about where he was in early November 1999.

I am not accusing Politico of being bought by the Obama camp, being anti American, anti US Constitution, dull witted, profiting by targeting the niche market of left wing wackos, having poor reading comprehension skills or anything else. But for the life of me, what the hell motivates them to write such biased, unfounded in facts, un American crap. There are many others out there who would like an honest answer.

So, Ben Smith, John Harris and the rest of you at Politico, do you have an answer or response for number 1 on the Internet Billboard. Why Obama has employed a legion of private and government attorneys to avoid producing a legitimate birth certificate proving his country of birth. Lou Dobbs, while he was at CNN of all places, asked why Obama doesn’t produce a birth certificate. US taxpayers are paying for some of Obama’s legal representation. Who is paying for the rest? Cost estimates run near two million dollars. These are real issues requiring serious journalism and reporting.

When this story breaks big, the biased, incompetent or fearful folks reporting in the MSM and internet are going to have a lot of explaining and soul searching to do. After all, this is our country and the country we will leave our descendants.

It is one thing to ignore the Obama eligibility issues. It is quite another to attack and demean honest, patriotic, concerned Americans who look to the US Constitution for guidance.

Politico had this to say about the Obama eligibility issues on March 1, 2009

“Culture of conspiracy: the Birthers”

“Barack Obama rests his hand on President Lincoln’s Inaugural Bible as Michelle holds it as he takes the oath of office.
Photo: AP Bill Clinton had the Vince Foster “murder.” George W. Bush had 9/11 Truth. And the new administration has brought with it a new culture of conspiracy: The Birthers.
Out of the gaze of the mainstream and even the conservative media is a flourishing culture of advocates, theorists and lawyers, all devoted to proving that Barack Obama isn’t eligible to be president of the United States. Viewed as irrelevant by the White House, and as embarrassing by much of the Republican Party, the subculture still thrives from the conservative website WorldNetDaily, which claims that some 300,000 people have signed a petition demanding more information on Obama’s birth, to Cullman, Alabama, where Sen. Richard Shelby took a question on the subject at a town hall meeting last week.
Their confinement to the fringe hasn’t cooled the passion of believers; the obscure New York preacher James Manning turned up at a National Press Club session in December to declare the president “the most notorious criminal in the history not just of America, but of this entire planet.”
A quick reality check, before we dive in: The challenges to Obama’s eligibility have no grounding in evidence. Courts across the country have summarily rejected the movement’s theory — that Obama can’t be a citizen because his father wasn’t —as a misreading of U.S. law; and Hawaii officials, along with contemporary birth announcements, affirm that Obama was in fact born in Honolulu in 1961.
But belief in obscure, discredited theories is a constant in a country with a history of partisan division — a country in which, a recent survey showed, 34 percent of the public believes in UFOs and 24 percent believes in witches..”

*** Update ***

I would like to thank the Dancing From Genesis Blog for the following astute observation:

“Ben Smith has responded to the allegations that Obama is hiding his true legal birth status, claiming at his Politico blog that Philip Berg’s lawsuit is specious because Obama has supposedly proven that he’s a natural born citizen of the United States, which certainly is not the case, and thereby demonstrates that Smith and his Politico are but tools of the left, not to be trusted, as he obfuscates the real issue, where is the proof that Obama is a natural born citizen of the United States?

Smith has raked http://CitizenWells.wordpress.com over the coals for reporting this as serious news, and now, if you click on the link, Citizen Wells has called out Smith, challenging him to respond to his call, so we shall see if Smith hides, or addresses the issues raised by Citizen Wells and Philip Berg in his lawsuit, soon to be considered at the Supreme Court.”

*** Update End ***

You folks at Politico seem to be some real rocket scientists. However, this is not complicated. That is why I put the biggest no brainer in the world as number 1 on the Internet Billboard. Why is Obama avoiding the natural born citizen issue?

Article II, Sec. 1, cl. 5 of the US Constitution

“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President. . .”

From the 20th Amendment to the US Constitution.

“or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until
a President shall have qualified;”

November 30, 2009

Attention: Politico, John Harris, Ben Smith

It is not a conspiracy theory. Using the term “birther” in a condescending, Orwellian manner to discredit decent, hard working Americans who believe that the US Constitution is the law of the land, will not be tolerated.

1. Barack Obama has employed a legion of private and government attorneys to prevent revealing his country of birth. Innocent and eligible persons seeking the office of president do not do that.

2. Barack Obama’s father was a citizen of Kenya and a British citizen.  “natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution” was explicitly written to deal with the issue of foreign allegiances at the time of the writing of the US Constitution.

3. Barack Obama’s citizenship and allegiance was further tainted when he was adopted by his stepfather Lolo Soetoro and Obama became an Indonesian citizen.

4. Some combination of the above allowed Obama to travel to Pakistan in 1981 when travel there was restricted to US citizens.

5. The only document presented by the Obama camp is a Hawaii COLB. There has been no substantiation that it is authentic and it does not establish country of birth. As Lou Dobbs stated, “It is a piece of paper that refers to another piece of paper.”

6. All other documentation, all school records, that would establish country of birth have been kept hidden and restricted.

7. No authentic documentation has been presented to establish that Barack Obama was born in the US.

8. The records of all hospitals in Hawaii have been searched. There is no record of Stanley Ann Obama ever having given birth to a child.

9. Barack Obama’s paternal grandmother in Kenya has stated on multiple occasions that she was present at Obama’s birth in Mombasa.

10. Others have stated, including multiple family members, officials and press, that Obama was born in Kenya.

This has been presented in a manner that a fifth grader can understand. However, if you have any questions, please contact me on this blog.

Failure to learn more about and understand this critical issue and take appropriate measures can only be construed as apathy,  ignorance or having an un American agenda. This includes the Mainstream Media and  Politico.com.

Politico.com, Ben Smith, Rumors, Lies, Sloppy reporting, October 31, 2008, Obama Camp, Ben, How much are they paying you?

I have revealed the lies/misrepresentations/sloppy reporting of Ben Smith once before. I can take no more.

In an article dated October 31, 2008, Ben Smith completely misrepresents Obama’s citizenship status and the Philip J Berg lawsuit that states Obama is ineligible to be president. Here is an exerpt:

“Cover this! Inside the nastiest ’08 rumors

by Ben Smith”

Probably the most widely e-mailed Obama “tip” at the moment alleges that he isn’t a natural-born American citizen and thus isn’t eligible to run for president. This began in the die-hard pro-Hillary section of the blogosphere, which spent part of the summer discussing laws that deal with the citizenship of a child with one American parent born abroad. When it emerged that this challenge wouldn’t hold water if Obama had been born in the United States, the focus shifted to the allegation that he had been born outside the United States.

In August, a Pennsylvania lawyer, Philip Berg, filed suit in federal court in Philadelphia. Berg, who also has been active in arguing that there was “government complicity” in the attack on the World Trade Center, demanded that the court force Obama to produce his original birth certificate. The court dismissed the lawsuit.

So why isn’t this getting wide coverage? Well, first, there’s lots of evidence that Obama was born in the United States, and none that he wasn’t. The campaign handed over an official copy of his short-form birth certificate — the standard document produced by the Hawaii Department of Health — to Factcheck.org. And Poliltico has confirmed the authenticity of a contemporaneous announcement of his birth in the Honolulu Advertiser.

Berg fights on, though, on a website with supporters known as ChileMan, ChileWoman and MommaERadioRebels. He recently told conservative talk radio host Michael Savage that he has an audiotape of Obama’s Kenyan grandmother recalling the candidate’s birth in a Kenyan hospital.

“l’ll release it in a day or two,” he said six days ago.

A spokeswoman for the Hawaii Department of Health, Janice Okubo, said she’s forbidden by state law from releasing birth certificates, but directed a reporter to the FactCheck.org item dismissing the rumors.”

Read more here:

If Ben Smith was being honest, or accurate or not in bed with the Obama camp, he would have stated that Berg is more concerned about Obama being an Indonesian citizen. That being said, there is no real evidence that Obama was born in the US. There is evidence that Obama was born in Kenya, including corroboration from multiple family members. The documents Smith is referring to can be obtained by anyone. And now for the piece de resistance. Obama put up a fake birth certificate on his website and later changed it and his story. John McCain produced a vault copy of his birth certificate for congress. Obama has resorted to legal wrangling to avoid accountability. Obama is Indonesian and has not provided an oath of allegiance to prove US citizenship. In a journalistic feat of extraordinary proportions, Smith quotes (regurgitates left wing propaganda) Annenberg’s Factcheck.org, which now has zero credibility.

So why is Ben Smith and Politico.com reporting lies and misrepresentations? Which combination of the following applies:

  • Sloppy reporting.
  • Bias.
  • Sensationalism.
  • In bed with the Obama camp.
  • Getting paid by Obama camp or puppeteers controlling Obama.
  • No concern for this country or the Constitution.
  • An elitist attitude of superior insights and all knowing persona.

So, Ben Smith, care to respond?

I triple dog dare you!
