NC unemployment rate of 9.4 among worst in nation, 9 plus percent at least for the rest of the year, Appalachian State professor, Nearly 10000 workers left labor force between April and May

“The United States economy has lost more jobs than it has added since the recovery began over a year ago.”…NY Times Sept. 20, 2010.

“Guilford (Large NC County) appears on it’s way to a third consecutive year with annual jobless rates in double digits. Economists say that likely hasn’t happened since the Great Depression.”…Greensboro News Record December 2, 2011

“the Times of the nineteenth of December had published the official forecasts of the output of various classes of consumption goods in the fourth quarter of 1983, which was also the sixth quarter of the Ninth Three-Year Plan. Today’s issue contained a statement of the actual output, from which it appeared that the forecasts were in every instance grossly wrong. Winston’s job was to rectify the original figures by making them agree with the later ones.”…George Orwell, “1984″

The Democrat Convention in Charlotte, NC should be extremely interesting. Of course Obama can outdo any character in “1984” when it comes to Owellian lies. He will of course “rectify” all of the factual numbers.

From the Greensboro News Record June 16, 2012.

“North Carolina’s unemployment rate was unchanged last month at 9.4 percent, breaking a four-month streak of declining unemployment rates, state officials said toay.

The total number of unemployed North Carolinians dropped by almost 4,000 people, but the rate remained the same because the size of the work force got smaller.

The rate was previously unwavering at 10.7 percent between July and September, but had been gradually declining since October.

North Carolina’s May unemployment rate is 1.1 percentage points lower than its May 2011 rate. The state fares worse than the national rate, which rose slightly to 8.2 percent in May.

“The NC state economy is continuing to not grow at a sufficient enough rate to put much of a dent in the unemployment rate,” said Harry Davis, professor of banking at Appalachian State University. “We simply are not creating enough jobs to lower the unemployment rate and absorb people entering the labor force.”

The largest job creation was in the Trade, Transportation and Utilities sector, which added nearly 2,000 jobs. Government jobs slightly declined by about 700 positions. Davis noted continued declines in the construction and leisure sectors as particularly problematic.

“It’s not making the comeback needed to get the unemployment rate down very much,” Davis said of the construction industry. “It continues to flounder, and if it wasn’t for apartment buildings there wouldn’t be much going on right now.”

The size of the work force in North Carolina continues to shrink. Nearly 10,000 workers left the labor force between April and May.

“Unfortunately, I believe we’re going to live with an unemployment rate in the 9 percents for quite some time, at least for the rest of the year,” Davis said. “Hopefully, that’s not the new norm.”

State Republicans quickly capitalized on the report, localizing national trends of both parties feuding over the North Carolina economy. Both the Romney and Obama campaigns have targeted North Carolina as a November battleground state and have been flooding the state with high-profile political figures to talk economics.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Pat McCrory and the Republican Governors Association issued press releases after the unemployment figures were released, criticizing Democratic gubernatorial candidate Walter Dalton’s economic views.”

Donald Trump speech NC GOP Convention, MSNBC Greensboro News Record cover Trump on Obama birth certificate Kenya and college records, Media threats to Romney

“Why has Obama, since taking the White House, used Justice Department Attorneys, at taxpayer expense,  to avoid presenting a legitimate birth certificate and college records?”…Citizen Wells

“I do not know where Barack Obama was born. I do know that he has used taxpayer dollars to keep his records hidden.”…Citizen Wells

“The Solomon Bill, requiring students at Columbia and other colleges to register for the draft and references to Obama being born in Kenya until 2008, explain why Obama did not register for the draft and why Obama’s Selective Service Application was forged.”…Citizen Wells

From MSNBC June 1, 2012.

“Donald Trump on Friday warned that the media are the biggest threat to Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign, but added that the press he has garnered for the Republican nominee has caused his poll numbers to rise “very substantially.”

Speaking at the North Carolina GOP Convention, Trump praised Romney for his business experience and promise to stand up against China and fight for American economic interests. But the business mogul also focused a portion of his speech on his questions about where President Obama was born. It is the reason why on Tuesday, when Romney earned the 1,144 delegates necessary to secure his party’s nomination, much of the news cycle was devoted to his decision to appear with Trump at a fundraiser that day.

A desire by the media to protect Obama is the reason Trump told the more than 1,000 people gathered here that reporters are “really dishonest” and “the biggest thing Mitt Romney has to fear is the press. They don’t tell the truth.”

But, speaking to reporters after the speech, Trump said it was the media attention he drew for Romney that led to a spike in the polls. “I think he got the headline on a day where I did get a lot of press, and interestingly, since then, his polls numbers have gone up very substantially,” Trump said of his appearance with Romney. “So I really think, and he really thinks, that the press has helped and it’s been good.”

And during his address, Trump again used his appearance as a platform to question the president’s birth certificate, the reason he has branded himself as a controversial figure on the national political scene. Calling for the president to release his college records, Trump said, “There is one line called place of birth, I’d like to see what he said..Perhaps it’s going to say Hawaii, perhaps it’s going to say Kenya.”

He dismissed that his motives were based in race by citing his recent decision to award African American actor Arsenio Hall the winner of his reality TV show “Celebrity Apprentice.”

“Somebody said, ‘Oh, because I brought up the birth certificate, I’m a racist. I said, ‘How can I be a racist, I just picked Arsenio Hall,” said Trump.
Asked after the event why he continues to bring up the issue of the president’s birth certificate, Trump said it was the demand from people who want to hear him talk about it, pointing out that the loudest applause line of his nearly hour-long speech came when he was questioning the president’s birthplace.

Trump’s speech tonight hit on many of the themes that made him a popular figure a year ago when he was mulling over his own presidential run. He called the United States “a patsy” for not take a stronger stance towards China, and he even gave credit to former President Bill Clinton and Newark Mayor Cory Booker for not condemning Romney’s work at Bain Capital. He urged the United States to take oil from Iraq to help pay for the war there.

Trump, who has said he likes making money and creating jobs, used Friday’s news of an uptick in unemployment to bolster his argument against Obama’s economic record. “This is bad news and frankly you could say good news for the Republicans in terms of an election, but I don’t care. We love the country first, so it’s bad news as far as I’m concerned.”

But despite his ability to excite some members of the Republican party, he dismissed any talk of joining a presidential ticket.
“A lot of people tell me that, but I don’t see it,” said Trump.”

The Greensboro News Record, which has provided a lot of honest reporting lately on the NC and US economy, covered Trump’s speech but erroneously reported Trump as questioning Obama’s citizenship.

News Record, that is wrong and irresponsible!!!

Obama’s Natural Born Citizen status and therefore eligibility to be president is being challenged. Also, since we do not know where Obama was born, and we recently discovered that Obama’s publisher bio stated from 1991 to 2007 that Obama was born in Kenya, it is more important to see Obama’s college records.

From the Greensboro News Record, June 2, 2012.

“Trump rallies Republicans”
“Real estate mogul Donald Trump told hundreds of guests at Friday night’s N.C. GOP Convention banquet “to fight like hell” to sway people to vote for Mitt Romney and oust President Barack Obama.

Trump says the president lacks the business savvy to lead the country toward economic progress.

“We really have to do something,” Trump said to the crowd at the Koury Convention Center. “We have to do something soon. North Carolina is one of the most, if not the most, important state in terms of who’s going to become the president of the United States.”

Obama narrowly won the state when he ran for his first term in 2008.

“We need a president who’s smart, and tough, and gets it,” Trump said. “We need a president that has business acumen. … We also need a president that has heart.”

That would be former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, in Trump’s opinion.”

“Trump once again expressed his doubts about Obama’s U.S. citizenship. He said he wanted to see what’s next to “place of birth” on his college records.

Trump pulled out a document from 1991 that said Obama was born in Kenya, instead of Hawaii.

“I’m not a believer, but we’ll see what happens,” Trump said. “I’m about jobs. I’m about economic development.””

I have noticed a lot of honest reporting from the Greensboro News and Record regarding the unemployment situation in NC in recent months. The Charlotte Observer on the other hand, recently endorsed Jim Pendergraph for congress and then after he questioned Obama the Observer retracted that endorsement. The latest unemployment data for NC was just released. First the Charlotte Observer article, which I had to really dig to find.

From The Vail Business Journal May 26, 2012.

“Charlotte region’s unemployment rate drops

By Celeste Smith, The Charlotte Observer, N.C.

May 25–The Charlotte region’s unemployment rate stayed below 10?percent in April for the second straight month, and it dropped significantly from a year earlier, according to figures released Friday by the N.C. Department of Commerce’s Division of Employment Security.

Unemployment in the Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill metropolitan area declined to 9.1?percent from 9.6?percent the month before. The unemployment rate a year earlier was 10.6?percent.

Statewide, unemployment rates fell in April from the previous month in 93 of North Carolina’s 100 counties, including Mecklenburg, where the rate fell to 9.0?percent from 9.5 percent. Rates are not seasonally adjusted.

Mecklenburg’s unemployment rate beat the state average of 9.1?percent. But more than 43,700 people remained unemployed in the county.

Some surrounding counties fared better than Mecklenburg in year-to-year comparisons, said UNC?Charlotte economics professor John Connaughton. For example, the 1.7?percent drop in Catawba County’s unemployment rate compared to April 2011 exceeded Mecklenburg’s 1.2?percent.

But Connaughton said that’s also a sign the region’s economy is improving.

“We’ve gotten a lot better in the last year,” Connaughton said.

“What it’s suggesting is, after the great financial collapse and the impact on a lot of our manufacturing (sector) in the surrounding counties, those things seem to be getting back on track.”

Statewide, April 2012 unemployment rates declined in 88 counties compared with last April. Rates increased in 11 counties, and remained the same in one.

“Looking at over-the-year numbers, most of North Carolina’s counties have lower unemployment rates which is certainly positive,” said commerce Deputy Secretary Dale Carroll.

For the second straight month, unemployment rates decreased in all 14 of the state’s metro areas, according to the state data.

Connaughton predicts the Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill metro area will beat the state’s rate in upcoming months.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re below 8?percent by the end of the year. Not that that’s great, but it’s a lot better than the last couple of years,” Connaughton said.

“We’re starting to see some job growth come back, and that’s really important, and it’s been consistent.””

From the Greensboro News Record May 26, 2012.

“By DONALD W. PATTERSON
Staff Writer”

“Unemployment rates fell in 93 of North Carolina’s 100 counties in April , including those in the Triad .

That’s good news, obviously.

Yet, analysts said, those numbers mask a deeper, more troubling trend — the shrinkage of the state’s labor force.

Over the last year, only the Piedmont Triad and the Research Triangle have posted gains in their labor pools, which represent those people who have jobs or are actively looking for work.

The 12-county Piedmont Triad economic development region saw its workforce grow by 0.3 percent in the past year. Granted, that’s a small increase, but aside from the Triangle, the other five regions of the state experienced declines in their labor pools during that period.

“Although the drop in the unemployment rate is unquestionably a positive sign, we should not read too much into this as a measure of the state’s long-term recovery,” Allan Freyer , a policy analyst with the N.C. Budget & Tax Center in Raleigh , wrote in his April jobs report. “Much of the mathematical drop in the unemployment rate is simply due to the decrease in the labor force in most of these regions across the state.”

Freyer said the unemployment rate can drop when job seekers become discouraged and stop looking for a job.

“We’re seeing troubling signs of a two-tier recovery in the state,” his report said. “ … Regions like the Triangle and the Piedmont (are) growing their labor force and employment base, while the rest of the state gets left behind.”

In the past year, Freyer said, the Piedmont Triad’s employment has grown by 1.5 percent. In the Triangle, it’s gone up 1.9 percent.

“The biggest areas (in the state) are the ones getting the most job growth,” Freyer said in an interview. “The Piedmont Triad region is growing because its metro areas are growing.”

In the Greensboro-High Point metropolitan area, for example, manufacturing jobs increased over the past year by 2,300 , or 4.5 percent. In the Winston-Salem metro, leisure and hospitality jobs rose by 800 , or 3.9 percent. In the Burlington metro, government jobs jumped by 5.5 percent, or 400 jobs.

Even so, six area counties still have unemployment rates at 9 percent or higher.

The rate in Guilford County , for example, dropped to 9.1 percent compared with 10.2 percent in April of 2011 .

Area rates ranged from 8.5 percent in Forsyth to 10.4 percent in Rockingham .

Statewide, the unemployment rate stood at 9.1 percent in April .

Compared with last December , the state has added nearly 26,000 jobs, but 85 percent of the gain occurred in January .

“Over the last two months, North Carolina has essentially netted no new jobs,” John Quinterno , a principal with South by North Strategies , a research firm in Chapel Hill , wrote in his monthly jobs report. “While North Carolina’s job market began 2012 moving in a positive direction, it has failed to maintain that momentum.”

In all, more than 421,000 North Carolinians were unemployed in April . That’s nearly twice the number without jobs in December 2007 , when the recession started.

In addition, just 56.6 percent of the state’s total population had a job last month.

“This suggests that the state’s economy is creating just enough jobs to keep treading water,” Freyer’s report said. “(That’s) nowhere near enough to keep up with population growth and replace those jobs lost during the recession.””

http://www.news-record.com/content/2012/05/25/article/job_growth_stalls_across_state

Were they writing about the same state?

Greensboro is the largest city of the Triad. Raleigh  the largest city of the Triangle.

Compare the following exerpt from the News Record to the Observer article:

“Over the last year, only the Piedmont Triad and the Research Triangle have posted gains in their labor pools, which represent those people who have jobs or are actively looking for work.

The 12-county Piedmont Triad economic development region saw its workforce grow by 0.3 percent in the past year. Granted, that’s a small increase, but aside from the Triangle, the other five regions of the state experienced declines in their labor pools during that period.”

On May 18, 2012 Raleigh WRAL was noted for their honest reporting on NC employment.

For what can only be described at best as misleading reporting on the employment situation in NC I award the Charlotte Observer 4 Orwells.

Greensboro is the hometown of Edward R. Murrow. I believe that Mr. Murrow would be pleased with the News and Record for this report.

The Democrat Convention will be held in Charlotte, NC.

“Führer, my Führer, give me by God. Protect and preserve my life for long. You saved Germany in time of need. I thank you for my daily bread. Be with me for a long time, do not leave me, Führer, my Führer, my faith, my light, Hail to my Führer!”…Recited by Hitler youth

“Red and Yellow Black and White, all are equal in his sight, MMM MMM MMM, Barack Hussein Obama.”…Recited by school children in 2009

“With those children [Winston] thought, that wretched woman must lead a life of terror. Another year, two years, and they would be watching her night and day for symptoms of unorthodoxy. Nearly all children nowadays were horrible. What was worst of all was that by means of such organizations as the Spies they were systematically turned into ungovernable little savages, and yet this produced in them no tendency whatever to rebel against the discipline of the Party.”…George Orwell, “1984”

History is repeating again.

Nazi Germany indoctrinated youth in schools.

“Lowered Educational Standards

Throughout Germany, the entire teaching profession all the way up to university level had been purged of Jewish professors and anyone deemed politically unreliable regardless of their proven teaching abilities or achievements, including Nobel Prize recipients. Teachers who remained in the college classroom lived under the constant fear they might be denounced by one of their students and wind up in a concentration camp. This insecurity resulted in gross academic timidity which further lowered educational standards.

National Socialist teachers of questionable ability stepped into grammar school and high school classrooms to form young minds, strictly abiding by the Party motto: “The supreme task of the schools is the education of youth for the service of Volk and State in the National Socialist spirit.” They taught Nazi propaganda as fact which was then recited back by their students as unshakable points of view with no room for disagreement or discussion.

Over the years, the Hitler Youth organization would gradually supplant the traditional elementary and secondary school system and become the main force educating German youth. And the quality of that education only got worse. Students emerging from the elite Adolf Hitler Schools were in superb physical condition and thoroughly drilled in Nazi ideology, but lacked basic skills in math and science. Biology, for example, had been completely corrupted to advance Nazi racial doctrine.

Under Hitler, a school system once among the finest in the world, became substandard almost overnight. Nazi scientists, educated before Hitler, would later complain they were partially hindered in developing new super weapons by the recruitment of young graduates from the elite Nazi schools.

In 1936, all of the Catholic parochial and Protestant denominational schools were abolished. Christian holy days which had usually meant a day off from school were now ignored and classroom prayers were banned. Celebrations of Christmas and Easter were discouraged, replaced by pre-Christian Yule or Solstice celebrations. The Nazis later forced all teachers to renounce any affiliation with professional church organizations.”
“Schirach’s goal in 1936 was to enroll the entire population of ten-year-olds throughout Germany into the Hitler Youth as a present for Hitler on his 47th birthday. Called “The Year of the Jungvolk,” enormous pressure was put on young children to join. In school, they were pressured by Nazi-affiliated teachers.”

To those who support Barack Obama because:

They are die hard support any Democrat.

They are left wing, the end justifies the means, idealogues.

They are the me me me, give me crowd.

But especially to teachers, who influence and mold impressionable young minds and raise Obama to God like untouchable status,

I award 5 Orwells.

The Thought Police is alive and active in NC.

From the Salisbury Post May 19, 2012.

“After reviewing a video in which a North Rowan High School teacher tells a student he can be arrested for speaking ill of President Barack Obama, the Rowan-Salisbury School System said it can be a learning experience.

Meanwhile, an expert on politics at Catawba College says the social studies teacher just doesn’t have her facts straight when she insists speaking your mind about a president can get you charged with a criminal offense.

Although two students provided the name of the teacher, the Post is not publishing it because officials within the school system would not confirm her identity and she could not be reached for comment.

The video captures audio of the dispute but does not show the teacher or anyone else. It appears to have been shot with a phone or other device as the camera pointed at the ceiling the entire time.

Rowan-Salisbury spokeswoman Rita Foil confirmed the teacher is still employed with the district and has not been suspended for disciplinary reasons. Foil emailed this statement to a Post reporter Friday on behalf of the school system:

“The Rowan-Salisbury School System expects all students and employees to be respectful in the school environment and for all teachers to maintain their professionalism in the classroom. This incident should serve as an education for all teachers to stop and reflect on their interaction with students.

“Due to personnel and student confidentiality, we cannot discuss the matter publicly.”

The nearly 10-minute video, shot by a student and uploaded to YouTube on Monday, had been viewed more than 1,000 times by Friday afternoon.

It begins with a classroom conversation about a recent news story detailing Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney allegedly bullying a classmate in prep school. It turns into a heated, sometimes confrontational debate.

One student asks, “Didn’t Obama bully someone though?”

The teacher responds: “Not to my knowledge.”

In response to the Romney story, conservatives have recently been pointing to a passage in Obama’s book, “Dreams from My Father,” in which the president writes that while in grade school he shoved a little girl, the only other black student in his grade, after other students called him her boyfriend.

When the student tells the teacher that Obama admitted to bullying a girl in school, the teacher goes on the defensive.

“Stop, no, because there is no comparison,” she says. Romney, she says, is “running for president. Obama is the president.”

When the student says they’re both “just men,” the teacher continues to argue that Romney, as a candidate for president, is not to be afforded the same respect as the president.

The teacher tells the class Obama is “due the respect that every other president is due.”

“Listen, let me tell you something, you will not disrespect the president of the United States in this classroom,” she says.

The student replies that he’ll say what he wants.

“Not about him you won’t,” the teacher says.

Later in the conversation, the teacher tells the class it’s criminal to slander a president.

“Do you realize that people were arrested for saying things bad about Bush?” she says of former President Bush. “Do you realize you are not supposed to slander the president?”

The student responds by saying being arrested for talking badly about the president would violate the right to free speech.

“You would have to say some pretty f’d up crap about him to be arrested,” he says. “They cannot take away your right to have your opinion. … They can’t take that away unless you threaten the president.”

Principal Darrel McDowell referred questions about the video to Foil.

Michael Bitzer, a political science professor at Catawba College and a widely known political analyst, weighed in on the video.

“I think what this broke down to was a perceived personal slight by an instructor against someone she sees in a positive view, and things just went out of control from there,” Bitzer said in an email to the Post.

Bitzer said he thinks the teacher did go a “bit overboard in being rude towards the student.”

“I think the student was also trying to pick a fight, honestly,” he said.

Bitzer said it appears the teacher’s attempt to make a point about showing respect for the office of the president gets overshadowed by her personal feelings for Obama.

“Her point about not being able to say anything ‘disrespectful’ about the president does fly in the face of the First Amendment, and while she may wish to enforce that edict about ‘respecting’ the president, the issue seems to have gotten personal on her part,” Bitzer wrote.

“Granted, she apparently tried to ensure that a respectful conversation was had about the president, but she seems to have taken things a bit too personally — and it appears the student was set on making a confrontation in the guise of raising a question about ‘who bullied who — both Romney and Obama?’ ”

Referencing former president George W. Bush, Richard Nixon and Abraham Lincoln, Bitzer said the fact that there are a lot of “mean, derogatory things said about our elected officials” is part of American history.

Bitzer said he has “no idea” what the teacher is talking about when she claims people were arrested for saying bad things about Bush.

“I have never heard of anyone arrested for saying derogatory things about George W. Bush , which I am assuming she is referring to,” he said. “Her belief that if one slanders the president is not very accurate — if you ‘threaten’ the president, that is another story, and that is a criminal offense.””

My hat is off to WRAL for this honest report.

From WRAL May 18, 2012.

“NC unemployment rate continues slow decline”

“People leaving the labor force were a big reason that North Carolina’s unemployment rate dropped to 9.4 percent in April, a month when only 1,400 more people got jobs.

The rate dropped from 9.7 percent in March and a percentage point from April a year ago, according to the figures from the state Division of Labor and Economic Analysis. The rate was stuck at 10.7 percent from July to September, then started a slow decline in October.

More than 11,000 people left the labor force in April compared to May, the figures show. More than 21,000 people have joined the North Carolina labor force since April a year ago.

“The bulk cause of this is the labor force decreased,” division spokesman Larry Parker said of the monthly decrease.

People leave the labor force for many reasons, he said: They quit looking for work; they retire; or they might move. The decrease isn’t related to the demise of extended benefits, which ended last week for about 17,000 people, he said.

The number of unemployed decreased by 12,686 to 439,368 over the month, while the number of employed increased by 1,471 to more than 4.2 million over the month and by 63,513 over the year.

North Carolina’s unemployment continues to be higher than the national rate, which fell slightly to 8.1 percent in April.”

Voter fraud in NC is being investigated again and for good reason.

Governor Beverly Perdue vetoed the NC voter ID bill passed by the legislature.

From WRAL News June 23, 2011.

“Gov. Bev Perdue has vetoed a controversial proposal to require voters to show photo ID at the polls.

She refers to the “constitutionally guaranteed right to cast their ballots” for “North Carolinians who are eligible to vote.” What about the rights of North Carolinians to not have their votes diluted by ineligible voters?

From Citizen Wells April 5, 2011.

“Students from area universities have been working behind the scenes to protest the proposed voter ID bill that is currently in the House. They held a forum Monday morning to discuss the bill and followed it with a press conference to voice their concerns.

“This bill makes it more difficult for me to exercise my vote and my voice,” said UNCG junior Caleb Patterson. “The voter ID bill would add one more obstacle to vote, which will discourage students from voting.”

“On Monday June 23rd, 2008 the SBI initiated an
investigation into allegations that employees of the
Alamance County Health Department specifically Dr.
Kathleen Shapley-Quinn and Nurse Karen Saxer were
knowingly and willingly falsifying patient medical
records.”
“At the request of some patients, Alamance
County Health Department provided work
notes and prescriptions in alias names.

Providing these services would assist illegal
aliens with maintaining assumed or stolen
identities, which may be a violation of state, or
federal law. (Identity Theft, Fraud, etc.)”

“Veronica Arias, of Texas, reported on May 2nd, 2008 to
the ACSO that someone in Swepsonville, NC had
stolen her identity and was using same to be employed.

Maria Sanchez was arrested on May 6, 2008 by
investigators of the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office
for stealing and using the identity of Veronica Arias.

Sanchez used the name, SSN, DOB, of Veronica Arias
who is a living resident of Texas.”

That is impossible.”

A Durham (NC) official is asking state elections administrators to check approximately 80 voter registration forms for possible fraud.

Mike Ashe, Durham County’s elections director, said the forms were among about 4,000 submitted to his office over the past four to six weeks by a national left-wing group called Acorn, for Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

“They will be turned over to the State Board of Elections for investigation and prosecution,” Ashe said of the questionable documents.

Most of the forms at issue bear one of six names. Ashe was not sure whether the people named existed or not.

Many of the papers are incomplete, which Ashe said is a nuisance, not a crime. But the group contains very different versions of what are purportedly the same person’s signatures.”

“VOTER FRAUD? YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTHIN’ YET!”

“Filmmaker James O’Keefe exposes ‘total liars’ in undercover video”

“North Carolina is the latest state featured by Project Veritas in its series on how America’s electoral system is extremely vulnerable to voter fraud. During last week’s North Carolina primary, James O’Keefe and his colleagues demonstrated how easy it is to obtain ballots even if the person has publicly professed not to be a U.S. citizen.

Poll workers insist that the ridiculously dressed activists do not need to show identification or a passport. The video further shows an election official telling Project Veritas that it’s “up to the public” to expose voter fraud.

O’Keefe also tells WND about his group’s visit to the University of North Carolina, where a dean and a program director laugh off confessions of voter fraud and even seem to encourage it. Yet a day later, both officials tell conservatives that voter fraud never happens.

“We’re trying to highlight the hypocrisy of these individuals and their inablility to do the right thing,” O’Keefe told WND.

And Project Veritas catches up with an election official who says he can no longer agree to uphold the state constitution in his oath since voters passed the amendment establishing only traditional marriage as the definition of marriage in the state.”

NC marriage amendment passes.

Mitt Romney wins NC Republican primary.

Obama has a NC problem and it is getting bigger.

Jim Pendergraph, who was endorsed by Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who questioned Obama’s birthplace and had his endorsement by the Charlotte Observer rescinded, is in a close battle with Robert Pittenger in the Republican 9th district US Congress race.

Charlotte Observer Obama facts, Obama hides Birth certificate college and other records, Taxpayer dollars aid in Obama deception, Sheriffs Arpaio and
Pendergraph question Obama

“Why has Obama, since taking the White House, used Justice Department Attorneys, at taxpayer expense,  to avoid presenting a legitimate birth certificate and college records?”…Citizen Wells

“Why is Obama now employing private attorneys to keep his name on state ballots, despite compelling evidence that he is not a natural born citizen?…Citizen Wells

“Pendergraph’s long experience as a public servant, especially his 12 years as Mecklenburg County sheriff, would be an asset. He understands the value of service to constituents and responding quickly and efficiently to their cares and concerns.”…Charlotte Observer

Since the Charlotte Observer endorsed Jim Pendergraph, rescinded the endorsement when Pendergraph questioned Obama’s birthplace and attacked Jim Pendergraph and Sheriff JOe Arpaio for simply doing their job and asking simple questions, I feel it is my duty as a natural born citizen of the United States, eligible for the US Presidency and a native born citizen of North Carolina and resident of NC, to do the job that the Charlotte Observer and most members of the mainstream media have failed to do. That is, explain to you why Jim Pendergraph and Sheriff Joe Arpaio have questions and concerns about Obama’s birthplace, birth certificate, eligibility for the presidency and other records.

I am going to make this so simple that anyone can follow it.

01. First and very important. Barack Obama, unlike John McCain, has never presented a legitimate long form certified copy of his birth certificate. This
includes the numerous court challenges to Obama.

02. Various entities placed images of a COLB (Certification of Live Birth) on the internet purported to be Obama’s but never proven to have originated from
the State of Hawaii. Even if Obama had personally presented one of these in court, it would have been thrown out as conclusive proof of Hawaiian birth. There were 4 ways of getting one of these when Obama was born and one could be born abroad.

03. Numerous challenges to Obama’s eligibility have been made in court beginning in 2008. These challenges have demanded proof of Obama’s eligibility and most have requested legitimate copies of Obama’s birth certificate, college and other records. None of these challenges has been pled before higher courts
or the Supreme Court of the US.

04. Irrespective of where Obama was born, per the accepted definition of Natural Born Citizen when the US Constitution was written, Obama is not eligible
because he did not have 2 US citizen parents.

05. Obama has employed numerous private and government attorneys to avoid presenting documents and proof of eligibility.

06. In 2008 Obama employed Robert Bauer of Perkins Coie and other private attorneys to assist him in keeping his records hidden. Obama hired Robert Bauer as White House counsel in 2009.

07. Since taking the White House, Obama has used numerous US Justice Department Attorneys, at taxpayer expense, to assist him in keeping his records hidden.

08. Recently Obama has employed private attorneys to assist him in eligibility challenges. Remember, in 2008 when John McCain was challenged on his
eligibilty, he promptly presented a legitimate birth certificate.

09. Tim Adams, an election official who worked in the elections office in Hawaii in 2008 signed an affidavit stating that there was no birth certificate for
Barack Obama in HI in 2008.

10. The new Governor Of Hawaii, Neil Abercrombie, soon after taking office, stated that he could find no birth certificate for Obama.

11. In April 2011, an image purporting to be the long form birth certificate for Barack Obama was placed on WhiteHouse.com. Most experts immediately
determined that it was a clear fraud. All one has to do to dismiss this image as evidence is to read the bottom of the image:

“I certify this is a true copy or abstract of the record on file in the Hawaii State Department of health.” Alvin T. Onaki, Ph.D.

Abstract: “The term abstract is subject to different meanings, but in a legal sense, it refers to an abbreviated history of an official record.”

Or abstract disqualifies it.

12. Sheriff Joe Arpaio, at the request of hundreds of his constituents, assembled a cold case posse, at no cost to taxpayers and performed a professional investigation, seeking the truth about Obama’s birth certificate and other records. The image placed on WhiteHouse.gov was determined to be a forgery and Obama’s selective service application is believed to be a forgery as well. Sheriff Arpaio is currently attempting to get the Selective Service Administration to cooperate.

13. Documented and reported here, Obama lied on his Illinois Bar Application. Obama omitted his other names and his numerous parking tickets that he later paid when running for president.

The above are just the highlights, the proverbial tip of the iceberg. Any rational, concerned, believer in the US Constitution and rule of law would have doubts about Barack Obama by being aware of these facts.

How many of these facts were reported by the Charlotte Observer?

The damning information about Obama may be in his college records and Selective Service Records.

Charlotte Observer Obama media arm, Media bias example, Times of “1984”, Praises Jim Pendergraph one minute then attacks him, Orwellian two minute hate

“we give our nod to Mecklenburg County commissioner Jim Pendergraph. We believe he has broad appeal and understands the district’s needs best. He speaks with a strong conservative voice but seems pragmatic in how he would represent the district – focusing on constituent needs and getting things done.”…Charlotte Observer April 28, 2012

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it”…Joseph Goebbels

“And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed
–if all records told the same tale–then the lie passed into
history and became truth. “Who controls the past,” ran the
Party slogan, “controls the future: who controls the present
controls the past.”…George Orwell, “1984″

Despite the fact that what the Charlotte Observer has done in Orwellian, Joseph Goebbels fashion to demonize Jim Pendergraph and Sheriff Joe Arpaio after praising Pendergraph in an endorsement, disgusts me, I would like to thank the Observer for providing one of the clearest examples of media bias and “1984” thought control. I began quoting Orwell regularly in early 2008. Images of “1984” and Nazi Germany abounded. The similarities to the Obama camp were and are striking .

For example, note how the Charlotte Observer first praises Jim Pendergraph in their endorsement.

From the Charlotte Observer April 28, 2012.

“But we give our nod to Mecklenburg County commissioner Jim Pendergraph. We believe he has broad appeal and understands the district’s needs best. He speaks with a strong conservative voice but seems pragmatic in how he would represent the district – focusing on constituent needs and getting things done.

He did sign a no-tax increases pledge and said he would focus on spending cuts. But he said he would consider taxes if “every other way possible” was tried and failed to reduce the deficit and get the economy going.

Pendergraph gained national exposure as sheriff for his leadership in the 287(g) program, which allows local officials to enforce federal immigration laws. He was the first sheriff east of California to use the controversial program. But his views on immigration reform are more nuanced. He favors both enforcement and reforms that would allow the immigrant workers that the country needs to be able to work here. The issue should be dealt with in a “common-sense” way, he says.

Pendergraph’s long experience as a public servant, especially his 12 years as Mecklenburg County sheriff, would be an asset. He understands the value of service to constituents and responding quickly and efficiently to their cares and concerns.

This race has been marred by negative advertising, largely aimed at Pendergraph from GOP challenger Robert Pittenger, a former state lawmaker. Those ads and the sniping back and forth at debates distracted attention from the candidates’ records and positions. The people in the 9th district deserved better. We hope the candidates will give them better in the waning days of this primary season. If not, voters should remember that in the voting booth.”

Next, after Jim Pendergraph mildly questions Obama.

From the Charlotte Observer May 3, 2012.

“What a run for Republican Jim Pendergraph. After winning the Observer’s endorsement in his bid for Congress, he has done nothing but embarrass us and himself.

By buddying up to one of America’s more hateful egomaniacs and then joining with fringe “birthers” to question President Obama’s citizenship, Pendergraph has contradicted much of what he told the Observer’s editorial board in his endorsement interview last month. As a result, we have lost faith in him, and urge voters to consider Edwin Peacock or Ric Killian in the 9th Congressional District race.”

“Then he rallied in Huntersville with Maricopa County (Ariz.) Sheriff Joe Arpaio, a Melvillian character on a never-ending crusade against Latinos. The only thing that energizes Arpaio more than stroking his ego is profiling Hispanics. The U.S. Justice Department found Arpaio led “a pervasive culture of discriminatory bias against Latinos” and one expert in the report said Arpaio led the worst racial profiling in U.S. history.

Pendergraph pandered further this week by saying he has “reason to be suspicious” about whether President Obama was born in the United States. “… Generally when there’s smoke, there’s got to be fire somewhere,” he said, even as he acknowledged “I haven’t seen the facts.”

It all gives one the sense that Pendergraph will say whatever a given audience wants to hear, if it will help him get elected. That makes how he would act in Congress a mystery.”

From “1984” by George Orwell.

“The next moment a hideous, grinding speech, as of some monstrous machine running without oil, burst from the big telescreen at the end of the room. It was a noise that set one’s teeth on edge and bristled the hair at the back of one’s neck. The Hate had started.

As usual, the face of Emmanuel Goldstein, the Enemy of the People, had flashed on to the screen. There were hisses here and there among the audience. The little sandy-haired woman gave a squeak of mingled fear and disgust. Goldstein was the renegade and backslider who once, long ago (how long ago, nobody quite remembered), had been one of the leading figures of the Party, almost on a level with Big Brother himself, and then had engaged in counter-revolutionary activities, had been condemned to death, and had mysteriously escaped and disappeared. The programmes of the Two Minutes Hate varied from day to day, but there was none in which Goldstein was not the principal figure. He was the primal traitor, the earliest defiler of the Party’s purity. All subsequent crimes against the Party, all treacheries, acts of sabotage, heresies, deviations, sprang directly out of his teaching.”

I happened to witness some reactions to Jim Pendergraph questioning Obama and the Charlotte Observer discrediting him. Though not as vehement as some in “1984”, they were just as party programmed and automatic.

Scary.
