Blagojevich trial, AP article, Fluff article on Blagojevich

“The past is whatever the records and the memories agree upon.
And since the party is in full control of all records, and in
equally full control of the minds of it’s members, it follows
that the past is whatever the party chooses to make it. Six
means eighteen, two plus two equals five, war is peace,
freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength.”…. George Orwell “1984”

I shook my head in disbelief as I read the following article. Is there a gameplan scripted by the Obama camp controlling articles written by the AP? The AP article written in 2008 regarding the announcement by HI Health Department Director Dr. Fukino was at best misleading and at worst an outright lie. Read the following exerpts and then full article and compare them to the legal documents describing Rod Blagojevich’s activities over many years. See how they mesh.

From the Chicago tribune May 30, 2010.

“Former Ill. governor faces fight of his life”

“In the year and a half since his arrest, Rod Blagojevich has lost his job and become a political pariah and a comic punch line. But he’s maintained the bravado that defined him as governor with repeated declarations of innocence that are vintage Blago: Confrontational. In the limelight. Never giving an inch.

“There has always been a damn-the-torpedoes aspect to his personality,” says State Rep. John Fritchey, a friend-turned-critic.

That’s been obvious as the impeached governor has popped up everywhere: Early morning radio, late-night TV. On stage with Second City comic actors lampooning him. At a block party where the avid Elvis fan crooned one of The King’s songs.

And most recently, Blagojevich, now 53, was on “The Celebrity Apprentice,” where he seemed baffled by a computer, and was, for the second time in a year, fired.

“I think people are intrigued by him, fascinated by him,” claims Glenn Selig, his Florida-based publicist.

So is it wise for Blagojevich to be clowning around while facing serious charges?

“I think he has a great sense of humor and he’s willing to laugh at himself,” Selig says. “Self-deprecation is not necessarily a bad thing. He’s the real deal.””

“”His ego won’t allow him to give up the stage,” says Kent Redfield, a professor emeritus of politics at the University of Illinois-Springfield. “He has this supreme confidence in his ability to win people over.”

Blagojevich’s loose-lipped style has some former associates wondering if the ex-governor’s endless patter is designed to show potential jurors he’s full of political bluster, not criminal intent.

Blagojevich has his own explanation.

“I … have this need to tell everyone and anyone who would listen that I didn’t do anything wrong and that I am innocent of any criminal wrongdoing … ,” he wrote in “The Governor.”

Blagojevich maintains he wasn’t trying to sell or trade Obama’s Senate seat and was trying to arrange a deal in which he’d appoint Lisa Madigan, the state’s attorney general. In exchange, her father, House Speaker Michael Madigan, his nemesis, would push through a public works bill the governor wanted.”

“Milorad “Rod” Blagojevich has long regarded himself as a fighter for the little people.
He sees his life as an American dream that unraveled into a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions: The son of a Yugoslav-born steelworker, he was raised in a blue-collar family, attended law school and climbed the political ladder, he says, only to fall victim to betrayal and jealousy.”

“”He’s personable,” Green says. “He speaks well on his feet. He’s good-looking. … And he was able to raise an awful lot of money.”

When Blagojevich was elected in 2002, he already was eyeing a bigger prize: the White House.

Democrats were thrilled to have one of their own in the governor’s chair for the first time in 26 years. But Blagojevich soon made enemies on both sides of the aisle.

“He enjoyed the sexy part of government, the glad-handing, the attention of followers,” says Fritchey, the state lawmaker. “But at a certain point, you’ve got to get out of campaign mode and into governing. That’s where he had difficulty.””

“Blagojevich claims in his book that he’s a “big picture” guy who didn’t want to be “slowed down by having to spend my time mired in a bureaucracy that could be like quicksand.” ”

“Still, Blagojevich, bolstered by a Democratic majority, racked up a list of accomplishments: He raised the minimum wage (angering some business groups), provided state-subsidized health insurance to every child in Illinois, banned discrimination of gays and lesbians, increased education spending, won approval to expand preschool and increased mammogram and cervical cancer screening for uninsured women.

“He did a lot of good,” says Clifford Kelley, a former Chicago alderman who now is a talk show host on a black radio station and has welcomed Blagojevich as a guest. “Once two ladies called to thank him for saving their lives” with mammograms, he says.”

“Blagojevich plans to testify at his trial, one more step in his high-profile campaign. Will it succeed?

“I don’t know if it’s a plan or it’s just goofy,” Green says. “… If it does work, he’s a genius … and I guarantee you he’ll run for office again — as a victim.””

Blago only needs one juror to hang the jury. Does anyone doubt that bo’s TERRORIST PALS have the money to buy the entire jury if they want to?

  3. Reading the “fluff” about Blago, reminds me of a very dear friend who came from Illinois to live in AZ for a number of years, and then returned to rejoin her family. She comes from a long line of Democrats but is a typical non-politico. When I mentioned Blago several months ago, she wasn’t a little bit hesitant about telling me how BAD he has been for their state. No one likes him, apparently…..he has been a crook, a fraud, etc., etc. He has been criticized highly by the people of Illinois. Where in the world does he get the bravado, the schmaltz? It has to be a seared conscience.

  4. Free Speech

    Cabby,

Blago may be detested by a majority of the people of Illinois, but all it takes is one juror in Chicago to hang the jury; and if that happens Blago walks.

This fluff piece was obviously commissioned by Blago’s defense team to gain favor with potential jurors.

Read the book or watch the movie, RUNAWAY JURY, and you will see how juries can be rigged. No doubt, Blago’s defense team knows everything there is to know about every potential juror in the jury pool. They already know which ones can be bought and which ones can be backmailed and which ones will vote for acquittal of Blago no matter what.

One of the hallmarks of Fitzgerald’s previous previous prosecutions is aggressiveness in the charges and zealousness of the prosecution, e.g., Scooter Libby; the poor man was ruined for nothing more than an inconsequential slip of the tongue.

    Lewis Libby
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaJump to:navigation, search
    I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby

    Born August 22, 1950 (1950-08-22) (age 59)
    New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A.
Occupation Unemployed; former lawyer (1976–2007; suspended from the practice of law in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., in 2007; disbarred by the D.C. Court of Appeals on March 20, 2008)
    Hudson Institute policy advisor (2006–2007)
Government official and policy advisor (1981–2005)
    Spouse Harriet Grant
    Children Two

Irve[1] Lewis “Scooter” Libby (born August 22, 1950) was an Assistant to the former President of the United States, George W. Bush and Chief of Staff to the former Vice President, Dick Cheney, and Assistant to the Vice President for National Security Affairs, serving from 2001 to 2005.

Libby resigned all three government positions immediately after he was indicted on federal charges of obstruction and perjury resulting from the grand jury investigation into the leak of the covert [2][3] identity of Central Intelligence Agency officer Valerie Plame.[4] Plame’s relationship with the CIA was formerly classified information.[2]

In his trial for his role in the Plame affair, United States v. Libby,[5][6] the jury convicted Libby on four of the five counts in the indictment: one count of obstruction of justice; two counts of perjury; and one count of making false statements to federal investigators.[7]

The day after his conviction in that trial, he resigned his later appointment as senior advisor at the Hudson Institute (January 1, 2006 – March 7, 2007).[8][9]

Libby is the highest-ranking White House official convicted in a government scandal since John Poindexter, the national security adviser to President Reagan in the Iran-Contra Affair. [10]

On June 5, 2007, the presiding trial judge, Reggie B. Walton, sentenced Libby to 30 months in federal prison, a fine of $250,000, and two years of supervised release, including 400 hours of community service,[11][12][13][14] and then ordered Libby to begin his sentence immediately.[15] On July 2, 2007, when Libby’s appeal of Judge Walton’s order failed, President Bush commuted Libby’s 30-month prison sentence, leaving the other parts of his sentence intact.[16][17] In commuting Libby’s prison term, Bush stated: “I am commuting the portion of Mr. Libby’s sentence that required him to spend thirty months in prison. … My decision to commute his prison sentence leaves in place a harsh punishment for Mr. Libby. The reputation he gained through his years of public service and professional work in the legal community is forever damaged.”[16] After Libby paid his monetary fine and penalty totaling $250,400, Judge Walton queried aspects of the presidential commutation,[14][18] and lawyers filed their briefs supporting Libby’s serving supervised release, resolving the issue and thus clearing the way for Libby to begin the rest of his sentence, the two years of supervised release and 400 hours of community service.[19][20]

On December 10, 2007, Libby’s lawyers announced that he would drop his appeal of his conviction in the case, leaving intact his remaining sentence and fine and leaving on his record his felony conviction, unless he were granted a full presidential pardon.[21] The next day, December 11, 2007, Bush issued 29 pardons but did not include Libby among them.[22][23] As a consequence of his conviction in United States v. Libby, his license to practice law was suspended by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in December 2007.[24] On April 3, 2007, the District of Columbia Bar suspended his license to practice law in Washington, D.C., and recommended his disbarment pending his appeal of his conviction.[25][26] On March 20, 2008, after he dropped his appeal, he was disbarred by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, in Washington, D.C., at least until 2012, when he is eligible to apply for reinstatement.

Compare Fitzgerald’s prosecution of Libby to his prosecution of Blago.

Ex-VP Dick Cheney outraged President Bush didn’t grant ‘Scooter’ Libby full pardon
    BY Thomas M. Defrank
    DAILY NEWS WASHINGTON BUREAU CHIEF

    Updated Tuesday, February 17th 2009, 11:00 AM

Sources close to Cheney told the Daily News the former vice president repeatedly pressed Bush to pardon Libby, arguing his ex-chief of staff and longtime alter ego deserved a full exoneration – even though Bush had already kept Libby out of jail by commuting his 30-month prison sentence.

“He tried to make it happen right up until the very end,” one Cheney associate said.

Several sources confirmed Cheney refused to take no for an answer. “He went to the mat and came back and back and back at Bush,” a Cheney defender said. “He was still trying the day before Obama was sworn in.”

The unsuccessful full-court press left Cheney bitter. “He’s furious with Bush,” a Cheney source told The News. “He’s really angry about it and decided he’s going to say what he believes.”

He did just that the day after becoming a private citizen. In an interview with The Weekly Standard, Cheney heaped praise on Libby and denounced his conviction. “He was the victim of a serious miscarriage of justice, and I strongly believe that he deserved a presidential pardon,” Cheney said

George Bush Should Pardon Scooter Libby
    December 23, 2008 01:52

    By Michael Barone

I wholeheartedly endorse the position taken by this lead editorial in the Wall Street Journal urging George W. Bush to pardon Scooter Libby. Libby was a dedicated and hypercompetent public servant who was brought down by a prosecutor investigating a scandal that wasn’t a scandal. The investigation purportedly was an attempt to discover who had told Robert Novak that Valerie Plame was a CIA “operative” (Novak’s word). But prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald knew before the investigation began that the leaker was Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage. It is astonishing that Armitage and his friend and boss Secretary of State Colin Powell didn’t inform Bush of this and allowed two of his top aides, Libby and Karl Rove, to be harassed by Fitzgerald for months and years.

If the article is a ‘trial balloon’ to test for public reaction to a Blago acquittal or soft sentence, I pray for a million puncture holes to shred the thing and the hurricane force winds of public indignation to scatter those tiny shreds like chaff.

Let the guilty bear the consequences of their lawless acts. They can never repay the misery and injustice they’ve effected in the lives of their fellow citizens. We are now in “them or us” mode. “Them” have done enough damage.

What I ask is that you all take this seriously….watch and listen carefully…..do your due diligence and then pass this information on to all of those who are still in the dark as to what has happened to our country in the last 150 years…….you will not get this in any of the instruction you received through the “public FOOLS system” and I guarantee you have never read this information in any of our history books nor will the propaganda media inform you on the truth!!!!

  24. I am trying to find out why the 13th amendment needs to be wiped out. It put an end to slavery. The 19th alowwed us women to vote. Included in the rest was a term limits for Presidents and the right of 16 year olds to vote

Amy, my point is that you will not get anything from RAP/AGJ FOOLS but disinformation. Notice the site that js posted has nothing about what the RAP/AGJ BS plan is, that is because their only plan is to confuse & harm true Patriots. I have gotten hundreds of emails from them and it is all BS.

  26. BTW, I have a copy of the The Constitution of The United States and The Declaration of Independence right in front of me given to me at my tea party and The Heriage Foundation. If you all dont have one, you can send for one as instructed by Hannity.

  27. “Blagojevich maintains he wasn’t trying to sell or trade Obama’s Senate seat and was trying to arrange a deal…”

Ohhhhhhhh, I get it. Wink, wink. “….it follows

I believe Illinois has had ENOUGH of you, Blago. Do the time for your crimes.

  28. Free, give me more credit than that. I am NOT asking questions to join this organization. I am asking these questions, for the tea party, as we have a young man wounded in Iraq who is giving us sessions on the Constitution, and we plan to ask his opinions.

MO also got a fair share of the laughter and head shaking.

I don’t know about Chicago or Man’s Country but at an establishment here in Nashville where boCohorts were abusing children, the mayor, DA, & police tried to coverup those crimes by saying that it was not true but just the rants of “right wing extremists”. 42. Blago fulfills the role of entertainer quite skillfully demonstrating that he enjoys media attention. As I have mentioned before, Blago told a relative long ago that he was approached by important people to be their ‘ace in the hole,’ in case of an emergency. Then, the whole thing sounded ludicrous to the relative, as it would to any sane person hearing someone was approached/selected for some unforseen event in which they would play a role. Yet, here he is fulfilling a role. Perhaps, his ‘family’ connections made him the ideal choice to enter politics and eventually be installed in the governorship.

Many of you may know that betting is a lucrative venture in Chicago sports bars, and that I am completely off topic in broaching that subject here in the context of the subject of any of the usual suspects mentioned in my post. But, there is enough ‘action’ on football, baseball, hockey, even horse-racing (which is more of an East Coast wise guys thing) to cause a significant amount of money to exchange hands between those wishing to place bets on the action and those able to direct that money to betting pools and back to winners. Rubes who indulge in this pasttime and lose can wind up owing a chunk of change to certain people for a very long time. Once, I had occassion to hire a moving company whose young adults were quite voiciferous about the betting activity on Chicago’s North Side. Seems one of the young men played and lost very badly and was quite indebted to certain bookies who were leaning on him to payoff or else. He was motivated to continue making arrangements and working overtime to settle his debts.

Knowledge of certain activity in Chicago is quite widespread, so Fitzgerald has to be aware of whom he is leaning on, just as Obama had to have been aware of whom he was involved with in both his political endeavors and personal alliances.

When Blago was first arrested, we all hoped he’d sing, but since then have seen those hopes dashed. I believe he will not sing because powerful people in Chicago and powerful international players all have a vested interest in the CCX. The establishment of the CCX will do more than just enrich those who have a stake in its activation; global regulation of carbon consumption/emissions will provide the pretext for global governance, harmonization between the world’s economies and redistribution of carbon taxes to the UN for nation-building.

Imho, cleaning up the environment, conservation and global stability is a worthy goal, but it all depends on how much power is vested in whom and how they exercise that power. There is an inherent danger in ceding power to the UN which is unable to counter the Islamic supremacists in the OIC. Nation-building in Islamic nations or providing infrastructure, jobs, education and services which encourage unchecked demographic expansion should worry any rational person, but for some reason doesn’t terrify the DC and global elites who seem commited to the climate change agenda.

In summary, I, too, believe Obama is untouchable, to repeat a phrase oft invoked to describe this President. It would seem that Fitzgerald did pull the plug on his investigation. Blago is the patsy, a distraction designed to keep our eyes off of the real agenda. Later, as many have already speculated he can be pardoned by Obama. The CCX is the goal, as Beck has reported, and many others can see that this is all about something much larger than just Blago, Fitzgerald or Obama. Nothing can or will happen to Obama because he is the one who makes their dreams possible. Let us all hope that their dreams are not our nightmares.

  43. The OBOTS love to seek and divide.

  44. Free Speech,

I thank you for your patriotism and constant defense of our constitution. I have a question. Do you know if Lyndon LaRouche is behind the RAP/AGJ and if this is one of LaRouche’s movement’s? I know that several month’s ago one of the old regulars here was saying they were in daily contact. I advised them to “stay away” from LaRouche and I received a response saying basically “LaRouche is holding their interest”. Shortly after that they became heavily into RAP/AGJ. I had advised them at the time to at least “look” into LaRouche before having anymore contact. I have try’ed to look into who is behind RAP/AGJ to basically no avail. My only question is, is Lyndon LaRouche and one of his movement’s behind RAP/AGJ?

The antidote to that ploy is millions of Illinois citizens howling in the streets, blitzing the media, pounding down the doors of state and federal legislators, cutting off political donations, filing endless criminalcomplaints, and downright refusing to pardon Blago of any of his crimes.

Throw in demanding the impeachment of Blago’s partner in crime.

(Illinois citizens were already in the process of impeaching Senator obama before the election. They know all about his enmeshment in Chicago crime. )

Amy1 so youre a joker . go find another site to get what if feels like to be called a abot. this site is not for jokers but for dreamers who are serious

  50. !?!! @ 2:40 pm
I was wondering how long it would take to get to this point, I guess the press at large is just now figuring out the majority of the American people are not falling for the garbage anymore. What American isn’t putting themselves in the place of the Gulf Spill, the Nashville flooding pain, and all the pain Obama/minions have inflicted on the American people. They are so stupid they think this is all about politics and self aggrandizement-NO, it is all about WE THE PEOPLE, it shouldn’t matter which state you are living in, we are the United States of America with a Constitutional Republic as our guide.
AZ, LA, TN and more currently under siege.

  51. truth.. Are you able to interpret the thirteenth amendment for me?

  52. truth, I was a dem just like Michelle. I campaigned for Hillary. I was a regular on Democrat Taylor Marsh site during the primaries. The Obots in there was my first experience with their vile name calling and NO, its not a joke. Its NOT funny.

  53. According to the Declaration of Independence our responsibility, as citizens of our nation, is to cut off power to the corrupt “elite” who have set themselves above the Constitution and the law.

“….and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.”

“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security-….”
    Declaration of Independence

I believe a significant number of us have hit critical mass with regards to government abuses. We are done suffering. We are depriving the abusers of their power, which originates with us. I pray millions more join the growing trend to restore our nation’s foundations.

  54. After that experience, I registered republican. I do NOT or have I ever supported OBAMA. He is an USURPER and we all know it. It is NOT funny!

  55. It is NOT funny to have our president clain we are no longer a Christian nation.

  56. amy1 // May 31, 2010 at 2:43 pm

    !?!!.. Bo’s not just sad. He’s pathetic.
    +++++++++++++++++
Agreed. Beyond pathetic into demented pathology. . . . . which is becoming clear even to the besotted.

  57. It was not funny when O appologised to those foreign country.

  58. It is not funny what he has done to our country.

  59. Bill,
Why would you call Amy a obot just because she asked for info on RAP? Responding like that makes RAP look that much more like a scam….
No one will answer simple questions about it, just start name calling.

Sounds like Chicago could use a “righteous revolution” by the infuriated masses, powerful in their unity of purpose – to clean up their city.

  61. Lillibet @ 2:50 pm
When I was last in Chicago (suburbs) Lottery was legal, and the track was legal. Did they change the law? In the suburbs they were always raiding the bars for illegal gambling on sports, which on the news was big brown grocery bags full of cash. Some of the bars in the western suburbs, the joke was why was the parking lot full of cars after 2 am (bars close in Chicago and suburbs) the answer was more illegal gambling. I heard but I don’t know if this is true that the big semi trailers are converted into gambling operations I don’t know if they are in motion or just parked somewhere. It surprise me too. I’m not a gambler our boss took us to the track in Melrose Park one time-she loved it I was bored out of my gourd. I had no idea it takes an hour between races for a 3 minute run, the crowd was interesting tho, interesting slice of life. Slots are on the qt in certain places too.

  62. It is NOT funny that he has brought shame to our country.

Whatever you think about Lyndon LaRouche does not matter. Whatever I think about Lyndon LaRouche doesn’t matter.
The fact is – LaRouche knows what time it is. He is one of the most clear thinking, spot on, analysts alive today.
He is not allowed a front seat anywhere around DC because, like Jim Trafficant, he speaks the truth.
Truth and reality are not allowed in American leadership. To become a star in DC, you need to be a traitor to America, and a traitor to We The People.
To be a star in DC you need take your marching orders from the Israeli – ADL lobby. Then you need to swear your allegiance to the corporate DC – Wall Street – Goldman Sachs – Federal Reserve Bank criminal cartel.

I didn’t change my Dem registration but I am now Tea Party. In FL you have to be a member of Dem or Rep to vote in the primaries as one of my girlfriends found out the hard way when she changed from Dem to Ind.
I hope that by keeping the Dem registration that I skew their numbers big time. I think 50-60 per cent of Tea Party members are Dems/former Dems and at the rate Obama is screwing up it could be 80 per cent soon.

  70. Free, If the White Knights are restoring the world, I hope they do it quickly before its too late.

I also would be interested in knowing if Lyndon LaRouche has any connection whatsoever with RAP. He has a history of former Marxist activity and then distanced himself and began infiltrating patriotic organizations for the purpose of dividing and conquering. He is one person to be watched very carefully, because he operates behind the scenes for no good purpose.

This is what you’re looking for, so you recognize it when you see it. I love Mr. Finks illustrations.
    http://www.amazon.com/Constitution-United-States-America/dp/0941807991#reader_0941807991
This is a visually wonderful book. Sam Fink originally did a pen-and-ink version of this, which was later revised to be a full-colour version for Welcome Books. Apart from the briefest of commentary pieces, this is simply the text of the U.S. Constitution, from Preamble to Twenty-Seventh Amendment. Fink has done an engaging hand-inscribed version with illustrative artwork, sometimes symbolic and sometimes demonstrative. For example, for the Thirteen Amendment (the one passed in 1865 to abolish slavery), Fink’s graphic shows strong chains being broken by a pair of shears that have been painted red, white and blue like the flag. For the Sixteenth Amendment (the 1913 amendment permitting general income taxes), Fink’s drawing shows a man standing next to Uncle Sam, with Uncle Sam’s hand reaching surreptitiously into the unsuspecting man’s pocket.

  79. Why would anyone want to remove womens rights to vote, remove the amendment that allows 18 year olds to vote, remove the amendment that limits terms of president???? If someone wants to restore Anerica, just place the changes as new amendments.

I think they are lying or deluded beyond all comprehension. All Hillary supporters who saw the usurpation of the convention knew something bad was going on, they just didn’t know the extent at that time. PUMA-Party Union my A## was started, they thought us Dems would fall in line, but we didn’t, just the opposite. Remember Country before Party. I hope Obama and the corrupt DNC fall lower than the hole BP is trying to fill-talk about slime-in recognition of their great work in the wonderful world of corruption. Obama/DNC have shown us where so much of it lays, but I’m sure there is more. BARF, how low can they go, that is the last question to be answered. The corrupt ones including the media did not expect WE THE PEOPLE to react the way we did, big mistake on their part.

“The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. But I should mean that every man should receive those papers and be capable of reading them.” –Thomas Jefferson to Edward Carrington, 1787. ME 6:57

“The most effectual engines for [pacifying a nation] are the public papers… [A despotic] government always [keeps] a kind of standing army of newswriters who, without any regard to truth or to what should be like truth, [invent] and put into the papers whatever might serve the ministers. This suffices with the mass of the people who have no means of distinguishing the false from the true paragraphs of a newspaper.” –Thomas Jefferson to G. K. van Hogendorp, Oct. 13, 1785. (*) ME 5:181, Papers 8:632

“Our liberty cannot be guarded but by the freedom of the press, nor that be limited without danger of losing it.” –Thomas Jefferson to John Jay, 1786.

“I am… for freedom of the press, and against all violations of the Constitution to silence by force and not by reason the complaints or criticisms, just or unjust, of our citizens against the conduct of their agents.” –Thomas Jefferson to Elbridge Gerry, 1799. ME 10:78

“To preserve the freedom of the human mind… and freedom of the press, every spirit should be ready to devote itself to martyrdom; for as long as we may think as we will and speak as we think, the condition of man will proceed in improvement.” Thomas Jefferson to William Green Munford, 1799.

“No experiment can be more interesting than that we are now trying, and which we trust will end in establishing the fact, that man may be governed by reason and truth. Our first object should therefore be, to leave open to him all the avenues to truth. The most effectual hitherto found, is the freedom of the press. It is, therefore, the first shut up by those who fear the investigation of their actions.” –Thomas Jefferson to John Tyler, 1804. ME 11:33

“Considering [the] great importance to the public liberty [of the freedom of the press], and the difficulty of submitting it to very precise rules, the laws have thought it less mischievous to give greater scope to its freedom than to the restraint of it.” –Thomas Jefferson to the Spanish Commissioners, 1793. ME 9:165
“It is so difficult to draw a clear line of separation between the abuse and the wholesome use of the press, that as yet we have found it better to trust the public judgment, rather than the magistrate, with the discrimination between truth and falsehood. And hitherto the public judgment has performed that office with wonderful correctness.” –Thomas Jefferson to M. Pictet, 1803. ME 10:356
“A declaration that the Federal Government will never restrain the presses from printing anything they please will not take away the liability of the printers for false facts printed.” –Thomas Jefferson to James Madison, 1788. ME 7:98

“I deplore… the putrid state into which our newspapers have passed and the malignity, the vulgarity, and mendacious spirit of those who write for them… These ordures are rapidly depraving the public taste and lessening its relish for sound food. As vehicles of information and a curb on our funtionaries, they have rendered themselves useless by forfeiting all title to belief… This has, in a great degree, been produced by the violence and malignity of party spirit.” –Thomas Jefferson to Walter Jones, 1814. ME 14:46

“Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle. The real extent of this state of misinformation is known only to those who are in situations to confront facts within their knowledge with the lies of the day.” –Thomas Jefferson to John Norvell, 1807. ME 11:224

“Nations, like individuals, wish to enjoy a fair reputation. It is therefore desirable for us that the slanders on our country, disseminated by hired or prejudiced travellers, should be corrected.” –Thomas Jefferson to James Ogilvie, 1811. ME 13:69

“The materials now bearing on the public mind will infallibly restore it to its republican soundness… if the knowledge of facts can only be disseminated among the people.” –Thomas Jefferson to Archibald Stuart, 1799. ME 10:104

“The printers and the public are very different personages. The former may lead the latter a little out of their track while the deviation is insensible; but the moment they usurp their direction and that of their government, they will be reduced to their true places.” –Thomas Jefferson to James Monroe, 1811. ME 13:59

  87. Michelle @3:09:

Your knowledge of Chicago probably supersedes my knowledge since I haven’t lived there for quite some time. There was a horse-racing track at Arlington that was quite active considering the Midwest is not really horse-racing territory. And, then horse-trading/horse-selling fraud was proven to the motive for the murder of Helen Voorhees Brach of the Brach candy fortune who lived in the western outskirts known as horse country outside of Chicago, iirc.

Didn’t know about the mobile semi-trailer betting operation, but am aware of how the usual suspects outsmarted standing laws to anchor floating gambling parlors just off the shoreline in the Chicago harbor and near Joliet. Floating gambling parlors are, of course, paying taxes which is something the mobile operations you reference are designed to evade.

Wasn’t Obama adopted by a Crow Indian tribe in the spring before his election? Wonder if the Crow have gambling operations on their land? Wonder if Barack amended his legal name on his BC to reflect his new adopted parents. LOL! Nothing would surprise anyone at this point. If he was legally adopted by the Crow Indians, then he is a citizen of their sovereign nation within the sovereign United States. Would his proper title be President Black Eagle? LOL!

Thanks for your informative posts. I identify with the quest for truth here about this man because having some personal knowledge from my teenage years about Barry and Timmy elicits my unbridled curiosity about how ‘coincidental’ the connections are that we see playing out on the national and international geopolitical/financial stage.

Btw, are you familiar with the Democracy Alliance? Read a story a couple of days ago quoting someone by the name of Laura Zeller who commented that the Socialist Progressives/New Party had fumbled their game plan for almost 40 years, but were back on track. Can’t seem to find the source for her exact quotation now. Forty years ago would have been 1970, just shortly after my grandfather died. I remember that he mentioned to family members that he was a Progressive Socialist/New Party advocate. Of course, he was of Swedish parentage and quite liberal, but his children did not share his political affiliation or views. In the 60’s he discussed with one of his sons about how the Democrats needed a ‘multi-cultural’ candidate to carry forward a progressive agenda which would focus on education as one of the progressive planks. As, I mentioned above, no one in the family paid much heed or endorsed his political ideology although we all worshiped him personally. I often wonder what he would make of Barry Soetoro.

    amy1 // May 31, 2010 at 2:26 pm

I am trying to find out why the 13th amendment needs to be wiped out. It put an end to slavery. The 19th alowwed us women to vote. Included in the rest was a term limits for Presidents and the right of 16 year olds to vote

    ===========================

Amy1 – As you may recall, I am not a believer in RAP. But here is some logic to consider.

The original constitution was a charter, i.e. instructions and directions, whereby the sovereign States delegated enumerated and constrained powers to the new Federal government. Think of the States as being independent countries and the Federal government being a service organization that was to perform certain common functions for all the states.

All the body of the constitution and the 1st twelve amendments were directed against the Federal government.

After the Civil War, there was a rash of amendments in which the Federal government assumed it’s own supremacy and thereby dictated various items against the states.

This was in strict violation to the very concept of the constitution and was extremely Un-American. In short, the 14th being the worst. This is the one that upended the world – the one that created the hierarchy with Federal government on top and the States subservient.

Since that time, essentially ALL ‘constitutional law’ has been outgrowths and interpretations of the 14th amendment. In the major law schools they don’t even teach the constitution anymore – they teach the Supreme Court decisions and precedents (i.e. applications of the 14th amendment) as if that were The Constitution. As they say, “The constitution is what the Supremes say it is”.

This is all backwards and upside down.

The only way the constitutional republic will ever be restored is to reset to that point in time and the status of the constitution was before it was fatally damaged.

There is nothing very important that cannot be fixed that was amended after the 12th, and much that is bad, very bad.

    For instance:

    1. The 13th did not end slavery. Slavery was ended by other means. The 13th simply formalizes the role of the Federal government to enforce this. Whatever you may think of slavery, I think a worse fear is the Federal government have the power or the charter to enforce ANYTHING. They are supposed to be subservient to the states.

    2. Women were never disallowed the vote by the constitution. It was just common practice that they did not get proper input into politics. Again, allowing women a proper voice was achieved by other means, the 19th amendment just gave the Federal government to power to enforce it. The original American/Republic intent was for the states to make these detailed decisions.

    3. The 17th is one of the worst. It is the final nail in the coffin of States Rights. It ensures that the official form of government is now popular Democracy (i.e. mob rule). As of that amendment the Constitutional Republic we are all fond of is DEAD!

So, you see, a major reset is needed. The Federal constitution needs to be re-established on grounds of original intent. And then the various State constitutions need to be upgraded to address new important things like slavery, women voting, etc.

Anyway – that is the truth and the logic.

What we all do about it is still open, I guess.

  89. Free Speech

Most recently, it appears that some rallies have been infiltrated with thugs shouting racial slurs at black congressmen in the fight over health care. Violence has broken out a few times. The tea party movement is being successfully discredited as radical fringe – just as Lyndon LaRouche has planned. Coincidentally, that violence and racism falls right into the plans of the Southern Poverty Law Center and its government sanctioned reports that label our entire movement as potential terrorists. How convenient.

I believe it all goes together – LaRouche, Jones, and the Southern Poverty Law Center – possibly leading to a government crackdown of our movement.

This is a warning to the Freedom Movement: the growing anger and suspicion is being planted in order to destroy the most important grassroots effort in American history. Forces led by Lyndon LaRouche and, in my opinion, Alex Jones, are working deep inside our movement to see it implode into fights, caused by distrust and hatred. I believe they are manipulating the media to show the freedom movement as simply a band of nuts not to be taken seriously. It is by deliberate and calculated design. LaRouche’s tactics have always been to discredit lovers of American freedom and he is succeeding now, expertly. Today, with a powerful mouthpiece like Alex Jones, LaRouche is reaching greater heights than he could have calculated.

The battle to preserve our precious rights and freedoms could disappear before our eyes, destroyed from within by committed Marxists like LaRouche, who hold no love for our Republic. It will happen unless we focus on this very real enemy and cleanse ourselves of these monsters who are playing on fear in order to stop our true mission – restoring the Republic.

Thanks so much, Tennbrock. I knew I had read a recent article about LaRouche and was just about to go searching for it. Everyone who has any suspicions about what sinister forces are trying to do to Patriots needs to read this, even if you don’t agree with it all.

As a teaser, here is a quote from Cliff Kincaid, for whom I’ve had much respect as an investigative journalist:

However, as investigative journalist Cliff Kincaid wrote in 1981 in Human Events, “The evidence is overwhelming, however, that LaRouche and his followers have not repudiated their Marxist beginnings. They push the Soviet line and, at the same time, smear some of the most effective conservative groups and individuals, who are exposing Soviet operations. Responsible conservatives should not snap at LaRouche’s bait.”

Everyone, just be on your guard!!

    2) Is it true that the PLAN includes wiping out all the amendments from the 13th and thereafter?

I believe RAP has restored the Republic and wanted to go back to the Organic Constitution, The Constitution for the united States of America, which contained only 13 Amendments, and go from there. All Amendments after the 13th were made unlawfully by the UNITED STATES CORPORATION formed in 1868 (The Constitution of the United States of America). If you watch the video provided by Jacqlyn, you will have a good understanding of the whats and whys of things of the RAP… Most likely you will find the answers to your questions in it. Hope this help.

free, If you believe those thugs calling racist names at the black congress are actually tea partiers, you are absolutely incorrect. Thet were planted there to make us look bad. You are smart enough that you should realise that is the way they operate… NONE of those people in MY tea Party are racist. As a matter of fact, they publically denounce racism.

Amy, I am well aware that boCohort groups like RAP/AGJ/LaRouche are planting “racists” at Tea Party demonstrations. I have witnessed it!

Again, I think the Tea Parties & Townhalls were GREAT for America, but they have not resulted in our Regaining control of our government. Some of the worst laws like boCare were passed after the Tea Party demonstrations.

    Free Speech – 4:06 PM

“”The battle to preserve our precious rights and freedoms could disappear before our eyes, destroyed from within by committed Marxists like LaRouche, who hold no love for our Republic. It will happen unless we focus on this very real enemy and cleanse ourselves of these monsters who are playing on fear in order to stop our true mission – restoring the Republic.”

Absolutely true!!! We must guard against “pie-in-the-sky” promises, which sound too good to be true. Remember, “Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.” VIGILANCE – that means “be on your guard – watch.”

    Carlyle,

Could you please elaborate on your statement referencing the text of 17th amendment please: ” The 17th is one of the worst. It is the final nail in the coffin of States Rights. It ensures that the official form of government is now popular Democracy (i.e. mob rule). As of that amendment the Constitutional Republic we are all fond of is DEAD!”

    *******************************************
    Text of 17th amendment

The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote. The electors in each State shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the State legislatures.
When vacancies happen in the representation of any State in the Senate, the executive authority of such State shall issue writs of election to fill such vacancies: Provided, That the legislature of any State may empower the executive thereof to make temporary appointments until the people fill the vacancies by election as the legislature may direct.

This amendment shall not be so construed as to affect the election or term of any Senator chosen before it becomes valid as part of the Constitution.
