From the BBC October 10, 2014.

“Ebola is ‘entrenched and accelerating’ in West Africa”

“The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that Ebola is now entrenched in the capital cities of all three worst-affected countries and is accelerating in almost all settings.

WHO deputy head Bruce Aylward warned that the world’s response was not keeping up with the disease in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

The three countries have appealed for more aid to help fight the disease.

The outbreak has killed more than 3,860 people, mainly in West Africa.

More than 200 health workers are among the victims.

Speaking on Thursday, Mr Aylward said the situation was worse than it was 12 days ago.

“The disease is entrenched in the capitals, 70% of the people affected are definitely dying from this disease, and it is accelerating in almost all of the settings,” he said.”

Of course you already knew that.

“National Nurse Survey Shows Hospitals Still Not Prepared for U.S. Ebola Patients

RNRN Press Release, 10/3/14

Contact Information | Media Center

80% SAY THEIR HOSPITAL HAS NOT PROVIDED POLICY FOR ADMISSION OF POTENTIAL INFECTED PATIENTS

Following reports that a Dallas hospital failed to hospitalize a patient infected with the Ebola virus and failed to properly communicate essential information to caregivers about his health status, National Nurses United is stepping up the call on U.S. hospitals to immediately upgrade emergency preparations for Ebola in the U.S.

Several weeks ago, National Nurses United began surveying registered nurses across the U.S. about emergency preparedness.  Most of the nurses are telling NNU that their hospital is not prepared for the Ebola virus.

In updated preliminary results from nearly 700 RNs at over 250 hospitals in 31 states released Friday:

  • 80 percent say their hospital has not communicated to them any policy regarding potential admission of patients infected by Ebola
  • 87 percent say their hospital has not provided education on Ebola with the ability for the nurses to interact and ask questions
  • One-third say their hospital has insufficient supplies of eye protection (face shields or side shields with goggles) and fluid resistant/impermeable gowns
  • Nearly 40 percent say their hospital does not have plans to equip isolation rooms with plastic covered mattresses and pillows and discard all linens after use, less than 10 percent said they were aware their hospital does have such a plan in place
  • More than 60 percent say their hospital fails to reduce the number of patients they must care for to accommodate caring for an “isolation” patient

NNU is calling for all U.S. hospitals to immediately implement a full emergency preparedness plan for Ebola, or other disease outbreaks. That includes:

  • Full training of hospital personnel along with proper protocols and training materials for responding to outbreaks,
  • Adequate supplies of Hazmat suits and other personal protective equipment
  • Properly equipped isolation rooms to assure patient, visitor and staff safety,
  • Sufficient staffing to supplement nurses and other health workers who need to care for patients in isolation.

At a rally of 1,000 nurses last week in Las Vegas, “we warned that it was just a matter of time in an interconnected world that we would see Ebola in the U.S. Now, everyone should recognize that Texas is not an island either, and as we’ve heard from nurses across the U.S., hospitals here are not ready to confront this deadly disease,” said NNU executive director RoseAnn DeMoro.”

ISIS gained power on Obama’s watch, To make US and world safer arrest impeach or remove Obama from White House, ISIS evolved from Al Qaeda, Obama bragged of demise of Al Qaeda

“The military sophistication of Isis in Iraq is much greater than al-Qa’ida, the organisation out of which it grew”…The Independent June 16, 2014

“al Qaeda’s core leadership has been decimated.”
“That’s why, working with Joe Biden and our national security team, we’ve been able to decimate al Qaeda.”…Barack Obama October 23, 2012

“Winston dialed ‘back numbers’ on the telescreen and called for the appropriate issues of The Times, which slid out of the pneumatic tube after only a few minutes’ delay. The messages he had received referred to articles or news items which for one reason or another it was thought necessary to alter, or, as the official phrase had it, to rectify. For example, it appeared from The Times of the seventeenth of March that Big Brother, in his speech of the previous day, had predicted that the South Indian front would remain quiet but that a Eurasian offensive would shortly be launched in North Africa. As it happened, the Eurasian Higher Command had launched its offensive in South India and left North Africa alone. It was therefore necessary to rewrite a paragraph of Big Brother’s speech, in such a way as to make him predict the thing that had actually happened.”…George Orwell, “1984”

The rise in power and wealth of ISIS happened on Obama’s watch.

Or whatever you call playing cards and golfing during a crisis is.

From CNS News November 1, 2012.

“President Barack Obama has described al Qaeda as having been “decimated,” “on the path to defeat” or some other variation at least 32 times since the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, according to White House transcripts.

This comes despite Libyan President Mohamed Yousef El-Magarief, members of Congress, an administration spokesperson, and several press reports suggesting that al Qaeda played a role in the attack.”

“Fox News reported Monday about an Aug. 15 emergency meeting of personnel at the U.S. Mission in Benghazi over concerns of al Qaeda training camps in the area.

An Aug. 16 cable from Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was killed on Sept. 11, was sent to the Office of the Secretary of State and briefed on the emergency meeting, saying, “on the location of approximately ten Islamist militias and AQ training camps within Benghazi … these groups ran the spectrum from Islamist militias, such as QRF Brigade and Ansar al-Sharia to Takfirist thugs,” Fox News reported the communication as saying.

One day after the Benghazi attack that occurred on the 11th anniversary of 9/11, Obama spoke at a campaign event in Las Vegas on Sept. 12.

“A day after 9/11, we are reminded that a new tower rises above the New York skyline, but al Qaeda is on the path to defeat and bin Laden is dead,” Obama said in Las Vegas.”

“Obama said Oct. 23 at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla., “al Qaeda’s core leadership has been decimated.” He repeated the same line at a campaign event in Delray Beach, Fla. that day.

That day in Dayton, Ohio, Obama said, “That’s why, working with Joe Biden and our national security team, we’ve been able to decimate al Qaeda.””

From The Independent June 16, 2014.

“With its multi-pronged assault across central and northern Iraq in the past one and a half weeks, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isis) has taken over from the al-Qa’ida organisation founded by Osama bin Laden as the most powerful and effective extreme jihadi group in the world.

“Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, also known as Abu Dua, the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isis) has suddenly emerged as a figure who is shaping the future of Iraq, Syria and the wider Middle East.

He began to appear from the shadows in the summer of 2010 when he became leader of al-Qa’ida in Iraq (AQI) after its former leaders were killed in an attack by US and Iraqi troops.”

From Rush Limbaugh in August 2014.

“I was prepared to spend a lot of time on it today, and then it changed.  Here’s the timeline of this.  One year ago, Barack Obama… Thirteen or 14 months ago now, Barack Obama declares a red line to Bashar al-Assad of Syria, because a year ago there’s a civil war in Syria. That civil war is still going on, by the way. A year ago we were under the impression that Assad was gassing his own people and committing other unspeakable atrocities on his own people.

We, a year ago, were banging the war drums to send American bombs and other armaments to the “rebels” in Syria opposing Bashar Assad.  And the red line Obama drew for Assad was to get him to stop gassing his own people.  Well, Obama drew the red line, but people in Syria continued to get gassed. They continued to die.  And the Regime, the Obama Regime continued to believe — as did everybody else — that Assad was gassing his own people.

Most everybody believed this, and that went on for a year.  It was last August or September that we were this close — I’ve got my index finger and thumb about 16th of an inch apart. We were this close to actually maybe sending troops but bombing Bashar Assad, and Assad targets.  We didn’t do it.  Obama got called a paper tiger; Assad was puffing his chest out because red line was drawn and Obama didn’t do anything about it.

His credibility again was on the ropes.

And then shortly thereafter I remember talking about this on the radio and I had read a piece, which I reprinted yesterday and studied it all over again by Yossef Bodansky which documented (one year ago) that Assad was not gassing his own people. So I took that piece and I came here to the EIB Golden EIB Microphone and I openly speculated, based on what I had read in Yossef Bodansky, “You know, what if…?

“What if Assad isn’t doing this?  What if it’s being made to look like Assad is gassing his own people by the rebels?” Who we learned later were Al-Qaeda. The Bodansky piece documents how the United States was on the verge — with Turkey and Qatar and a couple other allies — of arming (I mean, heavily arming) the Syrian rebels and planning bombing strikes against Assad targets.  Now, that never happened.”

I am not sure if I trust the Syrian Government more than Obama.

However, this Wikileak document looks interesting.

Did the Syrian Government make a serious offer to cooperate with the US to fight terrorists in Syria.

You do not have to be a rocket scientist to figure this out.

One of 2 scenarios:

1. Obama was caught with his pants down literally or figuratively.

2. This is part of some diversionary scheme or plot to please the Saudis, et al.

Loretta Fuddy, at the center of the Obama birth certificate controversy, is the only death out of 9 passengers who had minor injuries.

We were told yesterday:

“One of the passengers even swam to shore to try to get help. But not everyone got out alive. One person died in the tragic crash.

“That person remained in the fuselage of the plane. Not much details. Always a difficult situation when you can’t get everyone out, and unfortunately that was the case here,” Capt. Seelig said.”

“Nine people were onboard when the plane took off. One person was pronounced dead, three were flown to Honolulu and taken by ambulance to the Queen’s Medical Center. Another three stayed on Molokai and were hospitalized. The rest did not need any medical help.”

Today we find out.

From KHON 2 .

“One of the survivors in a plane crash off Molokai was determined to get everyone out and into their life vests, even swimming a half mile to shore to flag down help!”

“”Nothing like the movies. No one was screaming or yelling, just trying to get out of there. And the way it was filling with water, it seemed the best course of action was to just get out of there,” Hollstein said.

He says everyone did make it out ok and he helped people get into their life vests.

“There was one couple that had their vests. The guy had a seat cushion to his chest leaning back. He couldn’t open it. I went and helped him open it, shoved it over his head, and fired the thing off,” Hollstein said.

Hollstein last remembers seeing Health Director Loretta Fuddy with a life vest on. Then he took off swimming for shore.”

From ABC News.

“Last Moments Recounted of Official Killed in Crash”

“In the final moments of her life, Hawaii Health Director Loretta Fuddy clung to the hand of her deputy after a small plane taking them back to Honolulu crashed in the ocean off the island of Molokai.

Fuddy, who gained notoriety in 2011 for her role in making President Barack Obama’s birth certificate public, was one of nine people onboard the flight that went down Wednesday. She was the only one who died.

In the water, Fuddy held hands with deputy director Keith Yamamoto as he tried to help her relax, said the Rev. Patrick Killilea, who consoled Yamamoto after the ordeal.

“He recounted how he said he helped Loretta into her life jacket and he held her hand for some time,” the priest said. “They were all floating together and she let go and there was no response from her.””
“Rescue swimmer Mark Peer said when he swam to Fuddy, she was unresponsive and he couldn’t find a pulse.”

“Other details remained sketchy Thursday on how Fuddy, 65, was killed and how the others survived. Molokai General Hospital Vice President Randy Lite said Fuddy’s body will remain at the hospital until an autopsy is conducted.”

“Immediately after the crash, Fuddy’s body was taken to a care home at Kalaupapa, where Killilea, the pastor of Kalaupapa’s St. Francis Church, said he made the sign of the cross on her forehead as she lay on a gurney surrounded by nurses and the distraught Yamamoto.”

“Fuddy and Yamamoto were on the flight after an annual visit to Kalaupapa, where the state exiled leprosy patients until 1969. The area is accessible only by plane or mule.”

“I do not believe John Kerry is fit to be commander in chief of the armed forces of the United States. This is not a political issue. It is a matter of his judgement, truthfulness, reliability, loyalty, and trust–all absolute tenets of command.”…REAR ADMIRAL ROY F. HOFFMAN, USN (RETIRED)

“Testimony from victims strongly suggests it was the rebels, not the Syrian government, that used Sarin nerve gas during a recent incident in the revolution-wracked nation, a senior U.N. diplomat said Monday.

Carla del Ponte, a member of the U.N. Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria, told Swiss TV there were “strong, concrete suspicions but not yet incontrovertible proof,” that rebels seeking to oust Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad had used the nerve agent.

But she said her panel had not yet seen any evidence of Syrian government forces using chemical weapons, according to the BBC, but she added that more investigation was needed.”…Washington Times, May 6, 2013

Obama and John Kerry are trying to make the case for a US attack on Syria.

They are both documented liars.

From Zero Hedge September 7, 2013.

“While one can speculate if the sarin gas attack on August 22 was ordered and orchestrated by Saudi/Qatari petrodollar interests, with the assistance of the CIA and the funding of al Qaeda, and executed by the Syrian “rebels” (there is much circumstantial evidence pointing in the false flag direction: herehere, here and here), the reality is that since the narrative behind Obama’s offensive Syrian air strikes has been staged as punishment for Assad, the onus is on the affirmative proof, namely clear and unequivocal evidence that it was Assad who ordered the attack. So far, despite repeated vows and promises that such proof exists, none has been presented, aside from numerous YouTube clips which show an attack did take place (and even that is in question). When it comes to the actual perpetrator, John Kerry and company are reduced to emotional pleadings to the audience to look at pictures of dead children redirecting from the most important question of all: did Assad actually do it. The reason for such Copperfieldian tactics is that there simply is no link – Reuters reports that  “No direct link to President Bashar al-Assad or his inner circle has been publicly demonstrated, and some U.S. sources say intelligence experts are not sure whether the Syrian leader knew of the attack before it was launched or was only informed about it afterward.” And yet Obama’s entire publicly stated motive is to punish Assad… for something there is zero evidence he did.

The excerpt below from Reuters is how far the mainstream media will go of accusing Obama of conducting a false flag without actually “accusing” him.

While U.S. officials say Assad is responsible for the chemical weapons strike even if he did not directly order it, they have not been able to fully describe a chain of command for the August 21 attack in the Ghouta area east of the Syrian capital.

It is one of the biggest gaps in U.S. understanding of the incident, even as Congress debates whether to launch limited strikes on Assad’s forces in retaliation.

After wrongly claiming that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction before the 2003 U.S. invasion, the U.S. intelligence community, along with the Obama administration, are trying to build as solid a case as they can about what it says was a sarin nerve gas attack that killed over 1,400 people.

The Syrian government, backed by Russia, blames Sunni rebels for the gas attack. Russia says Washington has not provided convincing proof that Assad’s troops carried out the attack and called it a “provocation” by rebel forces hoping to encourage a military response by the United States.

Identifying Syrian commanders or leaders as those who gave an order to fire rockets into the Sunni Muslim areas could help Obama convince a war-weary American public and skeptical members of Congress to back limited strikes against Assad.

But penetrating the secretive Syrian government is tough, especially as it fights a chaotic civil war for its survival.

But isn’t that what the NSA is for: after all Obama had an extended tangent during his G-20 press conference explaining precisely that the role of the NSA is to keep America breast on non-public developments. And the whole “access to everything” should mean not a single Syrian communication was left unintercepted. Or maybe, just maybe, the NSA was meant solely to spy on America’s citizens, while ignoring what happens in Damascus, instead forcing the administration to come up with made up stories?”

“So what if any evidence is there, aside from YouTube clips of course?

Much of the U.S. claim that Assad is responsible was initially based on reports from witnesses, non-governmental groups and hours of YouTube videos.

U.S. officials have not presented any evidence to the public of scientific samples or intelligence information proving that sarin gas was used or that the Syrian government used it.”

From the UN March 21, 2013.
“Opening remarks to journalists on Syrian Government request to investigate alleged use of chemical weapons

Good morning. Thank you for coming at this early hour and with such short notice. Thank you very much again.

As you know, there have been disturbing reports about the possible use of chemical weapons in Syria.

The two-year long conflict has plunged the country into extreme chaos with terrible consequences for the Syrian people.

As the situation worsens, the international community’s concern about the safety and security of chemical weapons stockpiles as well as possible use of by all parties has increased.

I have repeatedly stated that use of chemical weapons by any side under any circumstances would constitute an outrageous crime. Anyone responsible must be held accountable.

I have emphasized the primary responsibility of the Syrian Government to ensure the safety and security of any such weapons or materials.

I have spoken out on this many times and sent letters to President Assad twice to remind him of this solemn duty.

Against this backdrop, yesterday I received a formal request from the Syrian authorities requesting a specialized, impartial and independent mission to investigate the alleged use of chemical weapons.

If requested by a Member State, I have a mandate to consider conducting an investigation on alleged uses of chemical, biological and toxin weapons pursuant to General Assembly resolution 42/37 C of 1987 and reaffirm by Security Council resolution 620 of 1988.

With this in mind, I would like to announce that I have decided to conduct a United Nations investigation on the possible use of chemical weapons in Syria.

My senior advisers are working on the modalities in close consultation with the relevant bodies, including the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

These include detailed issues such as: overall mandate, mission composition, and operational conditions including safety and security.

I have also been in close contact with OPCW Director-General Mr. Ahmet Uzumcu and WHO Director-General Dr. Margaret Chan. They have both assured me of their full support and cooperation.

It is my hope that the mission would contribute to ensuring the safety and security of chemical weapons stockpiles in Syria.

The investigation mission is to look into the specific incident brought to my attention by the Syrian Government. I am, of course, aware that there are other allegations of similar cases involving the reported use of chemical weapons.

In discharging its mandate of an investigation mission, full cooperation from all parties will be essential. I stress that this includes unfettered access.

I will reiterate this point in my communication with the Syrian authorities.

I will also communicate my decision to the Security Council.

There is much work to do and this will not happen overnight. It is obviously a difficult mission. I intend for this investigation to start as soon as practically possible.

Again my announcement should serve as an unequivocal reminder that the use of chemical weapons is a crime against humanity.

The international community needs full assurance that chemical weapons stockpiles are verifiably safeguarded.

Finally, let me repeat that the horrors of the last months and years prove beyond doubt: the military solution in Syria is leading to the dissolution of Syria.

I call on the regional and international community to find unity and support the efforts of Joint Special Representative Lakhdar Brahimi to help the Syrian people reach a political solution.

Thank you very much.”

“RUSSIA DELIVERS 100-PAGE REPORT TO U.N. SAYING SYRIAN REBELS BEHIND SARIN GAS ATTACK IN MARCH”
“Russia has delivered a 100-page report to the United Nations that claims Syrian rebels are responsible for a sarin gas attack in March 2013 — an overlooked incident, it says, in the wake the alleged sarin attack in August that the United States and other nations say the Syrian government is behind, McClatchy news reports.

According to a statement posted to the Russian Foreign Ministry’s site late Wednesday, the March 19, incident in Khan al Asal, a town outside the city of Aleppo, was the reason U.N. investigators were in Syria when the Aug. 21 attack took place.

“Unfortunately, that investigation still essentially has not begun,” the statement said.

In addition, the Russian report on the March attack — in which 26 people died and 86 were injured — says it contains scientific detail that’s lacking in the much-shorter intelligence summaries the United States, Britain, and France delivered as evidence that the Syrian government launched chemical weapons against Damascus suburbs on Aug. 21.

The Russian report, apparently delivered to the U.N. in July but not released, asserts that each of the three nations’ summaries regarding the August attack relies primarily on circumstantial evidence to make its case, and details in each report differ, most notably the number of people who died.

More from McClatchy:

Russia said its investigation of the March 19 incident was conducted under strict protocols established by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, the international agency that governs adherence to treaties prohibiting the use of chemical weapons. It said samples that Russian technicians had collected had been sent to OPCW-certified laboratories in Europe.

The Russian statement warned the United States and its allies not to conduct a military strike against Syria until the United Nations had completed a similarly detailed scientific study into the Aug. 21 attack. It warned that what it called the current “hysteria” about a possible military strike in the West was similar to the false claims and poor intelligence that preceded the United States invasion of Iraq.

“The Russian report is specific,” the ministry statement said. “It is a scientific and technical document.””

I do not trust Obama.

Why should I?

Obama has plenty of reasons to divert attention away from his issues and administration.

Not the least of which is the economy and impact of Obamacare.

You can only fudge the numbers so long.

This alone is reason enough for Obama to push for a Syria attack.

But remember, Obama stated that he would stand with the Muslims.

“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

I listened to Rush Limbaugh yesterday.

From the Rush Limbaugh transcripts September 3, 2013.

“Bodansky: What If Bashar Didn’t Do It?”

“RUSH: All right. So here’s the deal.  Last week, Obama reverses himself and says that he’s not gonna go into Syria.  Remember, they’re using nerve gas.  John Kerry goes out there, 1,500 people, 2,400 people, a lot of kids, nerve gas, sarin gas, got the proof.  Look, I’m gonna get into all the hypocrisy.  Yes, Kerry dining with Bashar back in 2009 and talking about what a great guy Bashar was. The bottom line is this administration is as incompetent as Jimmy Carter.  There’s only one difference.  If there were anybody else running this administration right now, this would be reported as incompetent and as buffoonish and as frightening at Jimmy Carter’s.

This is Jimmy Carter’s second term here.  This is absolutely frightening what’s happening here.  Obama with this inadvertent, trying to make himself look like a tough guy, red line comment this past summer.  Well, the Syrians crossed the red line, so Obama’s obligated.  And late in the week last week, he said, “You know what?  I’m gonna go get congressional authority,” after maintaining he didn’t need it, maintaining he didn’t want it, maintaining he’s gonna be a tough guy, gonna act alone. He’s gonna save the people of Syria. He’s gonna make sure this Bashar guy gets what’s coming to him.

Then all of a sudden he switches gears we’re told after a walk Friday night on the White House grounds.  Yes.  He decided he’s gonna use congressional authority. He’s gonna go to Congress.  Now, when this announcement was made — ’cause this had been discussed.  I mean, the idea of congressional authority for use-of-force authorization had been discussed.  There had been test votes taken by virtue of interview.  At the time, there was no way Congress was gonna authorize it.  Didn’t stand a prayer, which Obama knew, which the point was to blame Republicans.  It was the Limbaugh Theorem in play.  Obama forget about it essentially.  The plan was change direction, reverse field, announce that he’s gonna go to Congress to get a use-of-force authorization, and then when the Republicans don’t give it to him, blame them for dead Syrians. ”

“You have here, ostensibly, Bashar al-Assad nerve gassing his own people.  Sarin gas.  Lurch told us. John Kerry.  He told us this Friday.  Obama’s got the red line drawn out there.  They crossed the red line.  Obama’s manhood is on the line.  Oh, my God, he’s a gotta huff and puff! He’s been huffing and puffing.  All of a sudden, “You know what?  To hell with it!  I’m gonna wait awhile.  I’m gonna wait on Congress.”

Wait a minute. People are dying, I thought.  He’s nerve gassing people!  He’s nerve gassing his own people, chemical weapons, weapons of mass destruction, and we’re gonna wait for Congress to get back?  We gotta wait a few days, rather than strike now? ‘Cause all we’re gonna do is we’re gonna have a, what, three-minute to five-hour strike, whatever it takes to show that…”

“What if Bashar didn’t do it?

Sit tight, ’cause I’ve got a story by a man whose credibility is intact and beyond repute.  His name is Yossef Bodansky. He “is an Israeli-American political scientist who served as Director of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare of the US House of Representatives from 1988 to 2004. He is also Director of Research of the International Strategic Studies Association and has been a visiting scholar at Johns Hopkins University’s Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).”

“”There is a growing volume of new evidence from numerous sources in the Middle East — mostly affiliated with the Syrian opposition and its sponsors and supporters — which makes a very strong case, based on solid circumstantial evidence, that the August 21, 2013, chemical strike in the Damascus suburbs was indeed a pre-meditated provocation by the Syrian opposition. The extent of US foreknowledge of this provocation needs further investigation because available data puts the ‘horror’ of the Barack Obama White House in a different and disturbing light.”

This guy is not a kook, folks.  He’s not a nut.  He’s not an Internet Looney Toon, the guy writing this, Yossef Bodansky.  In fact, in reading further about this guy, Yossef Bodansky argued that the deception playing out right now in Syria is a deception similar to one used in Sarajevo in 1995 to provoke air strikes against the Serbs for the benefit of the Bosnian Muslims. ”

We didn’t attack Saddam Hussein when the following occurred.

“As early as April 1987, the Iraqis used chemical weapons to remove Kurds from their villages in northern Iraq during the Anfal campaign. It is estimated that chemical weapons were used on approximately 40 Kurdish villages, with the largest of these attacks occurring on March 16, 1988 against the Kurdish town of Halabja.

Beginning in the morning on March 16, 1988 and continuing all night, the Iraqis rained down volley after volley of bombs filled with a deadly mixture of mustard gas and nerve agents on Halabja. Immediate effects of the chemicals included blindness, vomiting, blisters, convulsions, and asphyxiation. Approximately 5,000 women, men, and children died within days of the attacks. Long-term effects included permanent blindness, cancer, and birth defects. An estimated 10,000 lived, but live daily with the disfigurement and sicknesses from the chemical weapons.

Saddam Hussein’s cousin, Ali Hassan al-Majid was directly in charge of the chemical attacks against the Kurds, earning him the epithet, “Chemical Ali.””

You have been informed at Citizen Wells about the real unemployment situation and economy.

Here is another example.

From Zero Hedge September 3, 2013.

“Unemployment At One Year High, Gallup Finds”

“Since lately it seems that the BLS’ sole mandate is to smooth and otherwise seasonally adjust noisy, incomplete employment data, even as the one part of employment that should not be rising – part-time jobs – continues to creep ever higher both seasonally adjusted and otherwise, it has become virtually impossible to get an accurate, unadjusted perspective of how the US labor force is truly doing. And with this Friday’s non-farm payroll report “the most important ever”, as every other month of course, this time because it will seal the fate of the taper (or won’t) depending if the data is bad enough, everyone is eager to get a sense of what is going on behind the scenes and how to position for Friday.”

“Which means that while the Gallup data is largely useless from a policy, or trading perspective, it is very useful in one key fashion: it shows that the US economy continues to deteriorate, and that increasingly more people have no jobs when stripping out the BLS’ favorite labor force participation adjustment gimmick.”

If you still don’t believe that Obama has motivation to divert attention away from the economy, Obamacare and his other issues, you had better wake up and start making plans to survive the real crisis that could develop.

FBI failed after Tamerlan Tsarnaev 2011 warning and trip to Dagestan, Tsarnaev green card, Russia Security Service warning possible Islamist radical, Tamerlan not put on no fly list

” the FBI reviewed its records and determined that in early 2011, a foreign government asked the FBI for information about Tamerlan Tsarnaev. The request stated that it was based on information that he was a follower of radical Islam and a strong believer, and that he had changed drastically since 2010 as he prepared to leave the United States for travel to the country’s region to join unspecified underground groups.”…FBI press release April 19, 2013

“Saudi Arabia, which gave us 15 of the 19 Sept. 11 hijackers, will soon get the coveted “trusted traveler” status from the Department of Homeland Security.”…NY post March 21, 2013

“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”…Barack Obama

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, unlike his brother Dzhokhar, had a green card and was not a US citizen.

From the Chicago Tribune April 21, 2013.

“FBI’s handling of Boston suspect comes under scrutiny”

“U.S. lawmakers asked on Sunday why the FBI had failed to spot the danger from one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects, and they complained it was one of a series of cases in which someone the agency had investigated had later taken part in attacks.

House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul wrote to the FBI and other officials asking why Tamerlan Tsarnaev did not raise suspicions after Russia asked the bureau to investigate him two years ago.

“Because if he was on the radar and they let him go, he’s on the Russians’ radar, why wasn’t a flag put on him, some sort of customs flag?,” McCaul, a Texas Republican, said on CNN’s “State of the Union” program. “And I’d like to know what intelligence Russia has on him as well.”

The FBI interviewed Tsarnaev, the elder of two ethnic Chechen brothers suspected in the Boston bombing, in 2011 shortly after Russia’s Federal Security Service asked the agency to look into him as a possible Islamist radical who might soon travel to Russia.

Asked on Sunday about lawmakers’ concerns, the FBI said it had no further comment beyond a statement it issued on Friday night when it said it “did not find any terrorism activity, domestic or foreign” after speaking to Tsarnaev and checking his travel records and Internet activity.

Less than a year after the FBI interview, Tsarnaev did in fact travel to the volatile Dagestan region of southern Russia on a six-month trip out of the United States. Much of what Tsarnaev did on that trip is still a mystery to U.S. investigators.

Neighbors contacted by Reuters say Tsarnaev spent at least a few weeks in Dagestan, a predominantly Muslim region in the North Caucasus mountains where Islamist militants have long been a thorn in the side of governments in Moscow.

Republican Representative Peter King of New York told “Fox News Sunday” he wondered why the FBI did not take more action after Tsarnaev returned to the United States last year and put statements on his website “talking about radical imams.””

“One U.S. counterterrorism official urged perspective. “If we thoroughly investigated every one of these terrorism tips we get, we’d never get anything done,” he said.

A senior U.S. law enforcement source said that the number of tips received from Russian intelligence to the FBI each year is “not that many.”

But nationally, he said, the FBI receives at least 100 terrorism tips a day – from the public, local and state law enforcement, other federal agencies and the intelligence community.”

“The 26-year-old “appears to be the fifth person since September 11, 2001, to participate in terror attacks despite being under investigation by the FBI,” the pair said in a joint letter.”

Vermont liberals enable gun violence, Liberals help create gun violence blame guns, Existing laws not enforced, Vermont leniency leads to shooting, VT most liberal state

Vermont liberals enable gun violence, Liberals help create gun violence blame guns, Existing laws not enforced, Vermont leniency leads to shooting, VT most liberal state

“Liberals, lacking accountability for their failed policies, and reason for their irrational fear of guns, blame guns and conservatives for gun violence.”…Citizen Wells

“Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA – ordinary citizens don’t need guns, as their having guns doesn’t serve the State.”…Heinrich Himmler

“The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference – they deserve a place of honor with all that’s good”…George Washington

Vermont, formerly a conservative state, began morphing into a liberal state in the 60’s.

I have been to Vermont multiple times. Despite being the home or college campus of many wacko liberals, I encountered quite a few normal nice people there.

Spend some time in Burlington VT or read about wackos in Brattleboro threatening to arrest Bush and Cheney (been there too) and you will get the picture.

From the NY Times October 1, 2012.

“‘New’ Vermont Is Liberal, but ‘Old’ Vermont Is Still There”
“Vermont is a quirky state, politically speaking. It was President Obama’s second-best state in 2008, behind only his home-state of Hawaii. But Vermont is also the most rural state and the second whitest, normally strong predictors of Republican leanings.”

“Vermont’s political landscape began to change in the 1960s and 1970s. City dwellers from nearby states like Massachusetts and New York began fleeing struggling metropolises like Boston and New York City. Heading north, these migrants had a choice of where to settle, and some self-sorting took place.

More conservatives tended to choose New Hampshire, attracted to its low taxes and “Live Free or Die” ethos. Vermont, where cows outnumbered people before 1963, tended to attract young, left-leaning and outdoors-loving professionals, both Mr. Nelson and Mr. Johnson said.”

“Mississippi Most Conservative State, Vermont Most Liberal: Gallup”

“The most liberal state as measured by the percentage of voters who claim that label was Vermont at 30.5 percent. Again, not a surprise for a state that could send Sen. Bernie Sanders to the Senate.”

From the Greensboro News Record February 23, 2013.

“Editorial: Vermont leniency leads to shooting”

“Vermont has 1,000 offenders on furlough and most of them are doing fine, a probation official said this week.

But not Mikel Brady.

“Human behavior is incredibly difficult to predict, and obviously, we were really taken aback by what happened,” Bill Soule, a probation and parole district manager, told The Valley News of White River Valley, Vt. “We didn’t see it coming down the pipe. We were quite surprised.”

They should be ashamed, not surprised. Their criminal-justice system granted Brady a light sentence for a violent, sadistic crime, then released him on furlough even though he had once jumped bail and had to be chased to Mexico by federal marshals.

This time Brady ended up in North Carolina, where he allegedly shot a state trooper four times following a routine traffic stop near Durham Monday. Thank goodness, Michael Potts is recovering and Brady was arrested the next day in Raleigh.

Although he’s only 23, he has a frightening criminal history that nevertheless did not convince Vermont authorities that he posed a danger to anyone.

At 18, Brady embarked on a “two-year crime spree that police believe included more than 100 burglaries,” The Herald of Randolph (Vt.) reported in January 2011. “Crimes included … the alarming theft of enough dynamite from the Rock of Ages quarry in Bethel in August 2008, that it triggered a federal anti-terrorism investigation.”

In 2009, he and another man broke into a home looking for marijuana and cash and beat the occupants with baseball bats. One of the victims, who used medical marijuana to control pain from a previous injury, said in court that Brady cut her arm repeatedly with a knife as he demanded money.

Yet, by the time of his sentencing in January 2011, Brady had convinced even prosecutors that he was no longer a threat. The judge acknowledged she was giving him a “remarkably good deal” because he had turned his life around while in custody “to a degree that is unusual and deserving of consideration,” according to The Herald of Randolph. Only 18 months later, last June 25, he was out of prison on furlough.

Vermont authorities continued to show leniency. Brady was arrested by wildlife officials in October for attempted poaching. Despite having a loaded rifle — obviously not allowed — he was still not taken into custody. Then, when he failed to report to his probation officer, he was listed by the Vermont Department of Corrections as having escaped.

Soon afterward, he became North Carolina’s problem. He is not being treated leniently here. He’s in the Durham County jail with bond set at more than $10 million, facing serious charges.

And in Vermont, “An incident like this leaves a mark on all of us,” probation manager Soule told The Valley News.

A mark that was painfully felt in North Carolina.”

Obama gun statements Second Amendment position, Rhino Times, February 7, 2013, Common sense reporting in NC, Dogs locked up mentally ill allowed to roam free

Obama gun statements Second Amendment position, Rhino Times, February 7, 2013, Common sense reporting in NC, Dogs locked up mentally ill allowed to roam free

“And it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigraant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment, as a way to explain their frustrations.”… Barack Obama

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”… Barack Obama

“Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA – ordinary citizens don’t need guns, as their having guns doesn’t serve the State.”…Heinrich Himmler

Commonsense reporting from John Hammer of the Rhino Times in NC.

With the increased control of the press by Obama, special interests, including foreigners and now Warren Buffett via Berkshire Hathaway, independent publications like the Rhinoceros Times become even more important.

From the Rhino Times February 7, 2013.

“President Barack Hussein Obama has evidently fired a shotgun, but we all know that he doesn’t “shoot skeet all the time.” At least Obama didn’t say that after he shot the skeet he cleaned it and Michelle cooked it for a healthy family dinner.

But he did say, “We do skeet shooting all the time.” Can you imagine if he had said, “We do basketball shooting all the time.” Or “We do golf ball hitting all the time.” People shoot skeet, they don’t “do skeet shooting.”

But the mainstream media just accepts whatever comes out of Obama’s mouth as the gospel.

Obama keeps talking about country people who grew up hunting and says they have a right to be able to continue that tradition, as if the US Constitution said, “Because people like to hunt, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

That is not what the Constitution says. The Second Amendment reads, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The Second Amendment is not about hunting or target shooting, it is about individuals having the right to bear arms to protect themselves from people who don’t want them to live in a “free State.” It is so that “the people” can protect themselves from the government.

The idea that this right has not been infringed is pretty silly, but the Second Amendment should not be infringed anymore. If Obama and the liberals think that the Second Amendment is outdated, there is a process to change it. When it turned out prohibition didn’t work the president didn’t issue executive orders allowing certain people to drink alcohol at certain times, nor did he issue an executive order making martinis legal but keeping beer illegal. Instead Congress acted responsibly and the 18th Amendment was repealed by the 21st Amendment.

Let Obama start the process to repeal the Second Amendment if he thinks it needs to be done. And we’ll see how that works for him.

Insane people are going into places where they can be relatively certain that no one else has guns and shooting people. In the case of Newtown, Adam Lanza went into an elementary school and killed children, which tears at everyone’s heart. But if the problem is that some insane or evil people are shooting others in places where guns are outlawed, is the solution to outlaw more guns? Lanza stole those guns from his mother, whom he killed. Is it possible to stop insane people from killing responsible gun owners and stealing their guns?

The Obama response to the shooting at Newtown is despicable, because it is simply political. The kids were killed with a rifle that looks like, but is not, an assault rifle. So the response from our president, who is supposed to be smart, is to ban rifles that look like assault rifles. Does Obama really believe that if the gun Lanza had stolen from his mother had had a wooden stock instead of a plastic one that he would not have shot anyone? Would it have really saved lives if the gun had not had a flash suppressor? Are we supposed to believe that if he had had to put in a new magazine more often he would have just given up and gone home without killing anyone? He reloaded several times as it was, so slipping in a few more magazines would not appear to have been a problem for him.

He could have killed just as many people with a rifle that looked more like a traditional hunting rifle. Obama is not asking Congress to outlaw guns that operate like the one used in Newtown, but just guns that look like the one used at Newtown. Are the American people going to fall for that level of absurdity?

A better way to keep insane people from killing others is to have a place for insane people to go where they can be kept safe and others can be protected from them. According to the reports on his behavior, Lanza needed to be somewhere he could be treated. But in the US we have decided that it is wrong to provide care and treatment for the severely mentally ill.

If you spend any time length of time with the homeless you know that many of them could benefit from someone taking care of them. They are homeless because they can’t deal with society, and society won’t help them except to give them blankets so they won’t freeze to death while they sleep on our streets.

It is ever so interesting to me that when I was a child dogs roamed free and the mentally ill were locked up for their own good. Today dogs are locked up for their own good and the mentally ill are allowed to roam free. One of the big reasons given for locking up dogs was to protect them. It is a strange society that cares more about the welfare of dogs than people.”

“What, Sir, is the use of a militia? It is to prevent the establishment of a standing army, the bane of liberty. Whenever governments mean to invade the rights and liberties of the people, they always attempt to destroy the militia, in order to raise an army upon their ruins.”… Elbridge Gerry

8.0 earthquake Tsunami deaths Solomon Islands, February 6, 2013, Numerous aftershocks up to 6.6, Pacific Ring of Fire

From Reuters February 6, 2013.
“Tsunami kills at least five in Solomons after big Pacific quake”

“A powerful 8.0 magnitude earthquake set off a tsunami that killed at least five people in a remote part of the Solomon Islands on Wednesday and triggered evacuations across the South Pacific as island nations issued tsunami alerts.

The quake struck 340 km (211 miles) east of Kira Kira in the Solomons, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii said as it issued warnings for the Solomons and other South Pacific nations including Australia and New Zealand. It later canceled the warnings for the outlying regions.

A tsunami measuring 0.9 metres (three feet) hit near the town of Lata on the remote Santa Cruz island, swamping some villages and the town’s main airport as people fled to safety on higher ground.

More than three dozen aftershocks up to magnitude 6.6 rocked the region in the hours after the quake, the U.S. Geological Survey said.”

“The Solomons, perched on the geologically active “Pacific Ring of Fire”, were hit by a devastating tsunami following an 8.1 magnitude quake in 2007. At least 50 people were killed then and dozens left missing and more than 13 villages destroyed.

“It’s an area that is very prone to earthquakes,” said Jonathan Bathgate, seismologist at Geoscience Australia. “We’ve had seven 6-plus magnitude earthquakes in this region since January 31, so it has been very active in the past week.””
