The tax and control bill being forced down our throats is most certainly not health care reform and most assuredly unconstitutional. Here are some exerpts from a letter written by Florida Attorney General, Bill McCollum, on March 16, 2010.
“As you know, President Obama has announced that he will push forward with health care legislation that includes a living tax on Americans who choose not to purchase health care insurance. Congress may take actiopn as soon as this week to send a bill to the President. After a thorough analysis of the individual mandate to buy health care insurance, I reman convinced it would be unconstitutional if signed into law.”

“Florida Attorney General promises lawsuit against unconstitutional health care bill”
“Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum has written a letter to Jon Bruning, President of the National Association of Attorneys General, inviting him to “join me in preparing a legal challenge to the constitutionality of whatever individual mandate provision emerges, immediately upon the legislation becoming law.” The letter was sent March 16, 2010 and includes an analysis of what McCollum perceives as unconstitutional provisions of the bill being contemplated by Congress.
Among his many objections to the bill, McCollum cites: “…the individual mandate, whether levied as a tax or as a tax penalty, is a capitation or direct tax that is not apportioned evenly among the states as is constitutionally required.” The closing paragraph of the six-page document states, “While affected citizens of every state may pursue judicial relief from the individual mandate provisions, states have standing to sue the federal government to protect their sovereign and quasi-sovereign interests.”
According to his website, McCollum has also called for a group of state agencies to analyze the financial impact of any federal health care legislation on his state. Participating would be the Office of Insurance Regulation, the Department of Children and Families, and the Department of Health, among others.
McCollum is a candidate for governor of Florida. He has stated that the Florida Constitution has a provision which guarantees “the right to be let alone and free from governmental intrusion into [their] private life.”
On Thursday, March 18, South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster announced that he would join McCollum in legal action if federal health care legislation is passed. McMaster reportedly said, “”It is my belief and that of other attorneys general that this is clearly unconstitutional. That’s why we’re moving forward. We need to protect the sovereignty of our states and the liberty of our people.””

Monroe County Democratic Committee officials say a brick shattered glass doors at the party’s headquarters in Rochester on Saturday or Sunday. No one was in the building at the time. Rochester police are investigating.
A brick was thrown through a window at Democratic Rep. Louise Slaughter’s district office in Niagara Falls early Friday.
Slaughter’s district stretches from Rochester to the Buffalo area. She has been a key supporter of the health care reform bill passed Sunday by the House.

A small faction of Socialists has just declared WAR on liberty loving Americans.
The country has now been neatly and surgically divided into the following classes:
EVIL ELITE – the monsters who perpetrated this abomination – including those who were threatened or bribed.

FREE AMERICANS – the majority of the people who smelled a rat from the beginning – including those late bloomers who eventually “got it” – this bill has essentially nothing to do with healthcare and everything to do with government control.
Fortunately the FREE AMERICANS are in a sizeable majority – not just nationally, but region by region. Many who voted for this will be removed from office in a very few months – IF there are unrigged elections – a big IF.
There are also significant and immediate battles to play out in the Senate over the next few days – and a flurry of high-level lawsuits (federal courts for sure, and most likely Supreme Court) across the country. A significant battle was lost but the war is far from over.
The most recent event(s) have sharply turned the corner from what might have still been a civilized discussion and honest debate into an all out war. America has been massively (fatally?) harmed.
The process to get this bill passed has been the most biased, unlawful, corrupt, and opaque legislative action in the history of America. History will record this as the day America “changed”. In fact Obama just said “this is what change looks like”.
And it didn’t have to be like this. A good bi-partisan healthcare reform package could have been put together – one that would have addressed the major problems without making a sharp left turn into Un-American territory.

1st of all, his upcoming “trial” is not that at all, but just a grandstanding opportunity – but for sake of this discussion, let us say it is “real”.
But I still don’t “get it”. Everybody knows that the government supplies fake identities to people for a number of valid reasons – witness protection, foreign agents, etc. This often involves creating a rather extensive manufactured background.
So if what Manning says is true, does this work against us? Suppose Obama were really a CIA agent and had a fake background created – one that is important to maintain even through the present time.
Doesn’t this make him a ‘super American’ and a ‘war hero’? Doesn’t this bolster his claim that he has strong legitimacy?
And I suspect that Columbia has assisted the CIA or FBI with fake credentials on many occasions – believing themselves to be righteous and patriotic in doing so?
Finally, if the CIA angle is true – I don’t see them letting even Mannings “mock trial” go forward.

This is true, either our Constitution is an intact document subject to Amendments or it is not.
If it was a product say cake mix-could you take out at the store-the sugar, the salt, the flour out of the box and still have an intact product? Would the product have any value? The sum of its parts.
Is it just me-it seems that since the day Nancy Pelosi became speaker of the house, every time she refers to something/anything it is always HISTORIC, but I don’t ever remember her using the word CONSTITUTIONAL.

I don’t think they ever said Obama was a CIA agent, just that he was “recruited” by the CIA when they need info/intel re: Afghanistan-he spoke a needed language, resided in Indonesia etc. I wonder if there is any information in Charlie Wilson’s material that could shed some light on what was going on during those times.

Only a certain segment of the American populace voted for pp; those who were hypnotized and drank the Kool-Aid. The rest of his voting pool was fraudulent; dead, voted multiple times and/or machine-generated!
IMHO, we did not have an election, and he did not garner the percentage of the vote they said he did. Accordingly, the election results were announced before half of the country voted.
In addition, a certain percentage of the population, who voted for him in droves, have been socialized for generations…they are already dependent upon the government for their daily bread so they would vote for someone who promised to help them continue to receive benefits paid for by those who work for a living.
People who lost their jobs certainly did not vote for pp; people who owned guns did not vote for pp; people who are knowledgeable about his past associations did not vote for pp.
IMHO, Al Sharpton is an expert in only one area, creating controversy that garners attention to his radical ideas and himself.
However, maybe, his is correct; those who voted for pp voted for a handout; like the woman who expected him to pay her mortgage and gas bills!
None of us, IMHO, voted for SLAVERY! Those of us who did have known nothing else in their lives…it is their status quo, and they don’t want it changed.

We’ve been reminded many times that elections have consequences. Yesterday we saw the consequence of voting for those who believe in “fundamentally transforming” America whether we want it or not. Yesterday they voted. In November, we get to vote. We won’t forget what we saw yesterday. Congress passed a bill while Americans said “no,” and thousands of everyday citizens even surrounded the Capitol Building to beg them not to do it. Has there ever been a more obvious exhibition of a detached and imperious government?
In the weeks to come, we can expect them to try to change the subject, but we won’t forget. Don’t let them move on to further “transformational” steps while forgetting what Congress just did against the will of the people. Though Obamacare will inflict billions in new taxes on individuals and employers, at least it creates some jobs: the IRS might have to hire as many as 16,000 new employees to enforce all the new taxes and penalties the bill calls for! And that doesn’t include all the other government jobs from the 159 new agencies, panels, commissions and departments this bill will create. As the private sector shrinks, we can count on government to keep growing along with the deficits needed to keep it all afloat. (Is this the kind of “change” Americans asked for?)
In the end, this unsustainable bill jeopardizes the very thing it was supposed to fix – our health care system. Somewhere along the way we forgot that health care reform is about doctors and patients, not the IRS and politicians. Instead of helping doctors with tort reform, this bill has made primary care physicians think about getting out of medicine. It was supposed to make health care more affordable, but our premiums will continue to go up. It was supposed to help more people get coverage, but there will still be 23 million uninsured people by 2019.
Though they’d like us to forget, we will remember the corrupt deals, the corrupt process, the lack of transparency, the deceptive gimmicks to game the CBO score, and the utter disregard for the will of the American people. Elections have consequences, and we won’t forget those who promised to hold firm against government funding of abortion, but caved at the last minute in exchange for a non-binding executive order promised by the most pro-abortion president to ever occupy the White House.
All along we’ve said that we want real health care reform, but this isn’t it. We mustn’t be discouraged now. We must look to November when our goal will be to rebuke big government’s power grab, reject this unwanted “transformation” of America, and repeal dangerous portions of Obamacare that will bury us under more Big Government control.
This is just the beginning of our efforts to take back our country. Consider yesterday’s vote a clarion call and a spur to action. We will not let America sink into further debt without a fight. We will not abandon the American dream to government dependency, fewer freedoms and less opportunity. Change is made at the ballot box. If we work together, we can renew our optimistic pioneering spirit, revive our economy, and restore constitutional limits.

In particular, it is exceptionally easy to frame this as part of the income tax (especially by having used the “brilliant” idea of making the IRS the enforcers).
Simply increase everybody’s income tax by a few thousand dollars. Give a tax credit to all who have an approved insurance.
We won’t like that, and might squeal like stuck pigs, but in the end, that is all we can do. How can you make any kind of case that this is “unconstitutional” or “against state’s rights”. We have the evil and ugly precedent of income tax.
IMHO, we are doomed unless we can simultaneously escalate this to address the whole income tax / IRS issue. Very unlikely I think.

It would seem that it would behoove us to contact McCollum and urge him to try to get together with the attorney generals of as many states as possible, and form a group.the bigger the better to appear in a US Courtroom together when, and if the lawsuit against the illegal healthcare mandates begins. I heard this A.M. on Fox (Stu Varney) that part of the big Pharma deal was that generics of their branded drugs would not be made available for 12 years. And that the protections against Insurance Companies from raising premium rates was removed late yesterday. So in essence Big Pharma and Insurance Companies are the big winners. Their stocks should soar.

Yes, very aware of this. However, NOBODY has ever survived any attempt to make use of this. Let alone the courts, juries of their peers have convicted “tax cheats” who have tried this.
1. The fact that IT is unconstitutional and unlawful is simply “unbelievable”. It is too deeply rooted in our collective conscious.
2. Everybody hates tax cheats. If for no other reason than it rubs our noses in the fact that they are smarter or more clever than we are.
Furthermore, income tax is absolutely fundamental to the current Federal Government regime. It is the very foundation; it is the biggest wedge and hammer that the Feds can use to “pursuade” the State Governments to fall in line. The long-term goal MUST be to deprive the Feds of their own revenue stream and return to the mechanism where the states fund the Feds – and thus return power to the states. Until this happens, all the states rights posturing is just that – posturing.
But I don’t see how to do this.

I’m sure it was the ever popular “promote the general welfare”. That covers everything and anything.
Until we can get a righteous and conservative court to rule that this phrase means something specific, it basically opens up the constitution to mean whatever the legislature (or executive) wants it to mean at any given moment.
In other words, the entire rest of the constitutioin is rendered immediately meaningless by the liberal interpretation of this phrase.

Years ago when I sometimes used unsavory language, I often used the expression “Bull S***.”
As I grew up a bit and discovered it was not necessary to use such crude language, that expression became “BS.”
What did I really mean when I used those expressions? I meant that something was ridiculous, or idiotic or a half truth or just stupid. It covered any number of negative formats. The dictionary defines it as: nonsense; especially: foolish insolent talk…
I have decided that I no longer will use either of those expressions in the future. When I have a need to express such feelings, I will use the word “Pelosi.”
Let me use it in a sentence. “That’s just a bunch of Pelosi..” I encourage you to do the same. It is such a nasty sounding word, it really packs a punch, we are no longer being vulgar, and it clearly expresses our feelings. If enough of us use it, perhaps the word could be entered into the dictionary.
When on a ranch watch your step and don’t step in Pelosi. It will get on the bottom of your boot and won’t go away until next election.
What a fitting and descriptive legacy for the Speaker of the House!
Pass it on to at least 10,000,000 people. Do not break this chain or you will get more Pelosi than you can shake a bull at.

Mar. 23 during which, as currently planned, U.S. bases/ commands will be at ‘Charlie’ (C) security level on Monday and then at DELTA (D) security level on Tuesday, March 23. To the best of my knowledge, the last time we were at ‘Delta’ was the day of 9/11, then reduced not too long after 9/11 to ‘Charlie’. My understanding is that the base security levels correspond to DEFCON levels, and that Delta is very high. There’s also something strange about the lack of general alert to personnel on the base where I work, the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, Calif., about this exercise, as I’m told that other Navy bases in our Navy S.W. Region alerted their personnel to this exercise as much as a month ago, and that Navy instructions were/are for all bases to do the same, yet so far there has been no all hands alert at NPS, and I was also told that someone said they didn’t understand why there was all the ’secrecy’ surrounding the coming exercise for NPS and not elsewhere.
A Wikipedia entry on Force Protection Condition (FPCON) currently used by the Department of Defense describes FPCON CHARLIE as a situation when an instance occurs or when intelligence reports that there is terrorist activity imminent. FPCON DELTA describes a situation when a terrorist attack is taking place or has just occurred.
“The decision on what level of FPCON to implement is affected by the current threat of terrorism towards military facilities and personnel, the amount of security forces available, and current relationships between the United States and the world, which may affect the chances of an attack.”
The threat level is set by USNORTHCOM.
According to the Washington Post, the Pentagon went to an Alpha security and defense alert once news of the WTC attack was reported, and after their building was hit, they went to a Charlie level of security. “Exercise Solid Curtain/Citadel Shield 2010 is a single, large, Navy-wide integrated exercise designed to enhance the training and readiness of Navy security personnel to respond to threats that may happen in the real world, but is not in response to any specific threat. Loud noises may be heard and members of the surrounding community may experience changes in traffic flow. Gate access may be slowed due to Random Anti-terrorism Measures being in effect. As a part of the exercise, Force Protection Conditions may be elevated, and communications channels may be interrupted.”

MY point is first of all hypothetical:
What if a true blue American was given a false identity? Suppose further the the real identity was destroyed – or at least that it is important to keep hidden. Can such a person be President?
There is a reasonable argument of YES.
In which case, I am prediciting that the opposition may trot out this argument in regards Obama. In other words, essentially every thing we know about this guy is made up – including Muslim sympathys, etc. etc. And that his real identity was/is lilly pure.
I am not saying “they” gave him a good identity to cover up his “un American ness”, but “they” gave him a bad identity for national intelligence purposes. Suppose he was a hero and prevented a nasty nuclear war or something. Should he be denied the presidency?
I am trying to get you all to think about what if they use those kinds of arguments.

I’m sorry to tell you this, but even if he is NBC, he has sign numerous docs using a fake name and denied using any other name (Ill. Attorneys board), etc.
Lying on official docs is still a crime and also using numerous SS numbers is a felony. He is toast any way you look at it.
Perhaps the CIA already did it’s magic. Suppose they had told congress and key news figures that Obama was a CIA operative with an erased background. And that EVERYTHING – including his books – were part of the big National Intelligence manufactured background.
And that not only in the past, but perhaps in the present, Obama was critical to some International sting operation. And that he was our best or only hope to rid us of the Muslim Terror once and for all.
Or some such thing. That would mean that everything we think we know might be false. This would explain everything.
After all, for all our suspicions, NOBODY has yet come up with a credible theory of why ALL the congress people and ALL the news media (including our usual friends) are not only silent on this but push back against us very hard.
I’m not sure we will ever make much progress until THAT question has been answered. For Mr. and Mrs. everday American, it is an exceptionally compelling arguement: “None of that could be possibly true because it would require the 100% conspiracy (not even a single leak) of more than a thousand individual national figures – many of whom would benefit from outting this if it were even remotely possible to be true”.

MY point is first of all hypothetical:
What if a true blue American was given a false identity? Suppose further the the real identity was destroyed – or at least that it is important to keep hidden. Can such a person be President?

The Mafia was a powerful “family” of families; many of whom would NOT benefit from outing any one…lest they be fitted with “cement shoes.” They operated with the same scrutiny many national figures operate…they were untouchable! Without a “snitch,” law enforcement would have been hard-pressed to bring down any member of the family. In CIA fashion, they infiltrated the “family” and were successful in learning how it operated and which ones were on the “hit” squad.
If he is being shielded by something similar to a Mafia family, no one would be talking. Anyone who has come close to revealing his background has been silenced [killed]. Larry is still alive because they think no one will believe him, especially since he has had trouble with the law in the past. That did not stop them from harassing him, though, or making it tough for him to publish his book. He survived, but others did not.

I contacted the office of Sonny Perdue, Governor of the state of Georgia this morning with 2 questions:
When will the state of Georgia join the more than 10 other states who are preparing to sue this out of control government regarding yesterday’s illegal and unconstitutional “vote”?, and second question:
What is the latest status of Georgia’s efforts at declaring their Sovereignty, per Constitutional 10th Amendment?, as they are planning to do.
After the usual “phone tag” I was connected with the Georgia Attorney General and while the woman there was something less than helpful, she indicated Georgia hasn’t concluded they have any plans in the near future to sue this government as yet.
About the Sovereignty issue with regard to the 10th Constitutional Amendment, again the legislators haven’t arrived decided on the format, language and “Constitutionality” of the final ruling.
So much for Georgia…………………

jbjd – you might want to extend your research to one level deeper – there are a number of good articles on what that really means – and how that relates (or not) to what is being currently done.
In particular, try to connect the dots from that (or any other constitutional provision) to laws, to regulations, to corporate witholding, or somebody showing up at your door to do an audit. It is not possible. There is a break in the chain.

Those of us who have our own insurance carriers for our Medicare Supplemental, allegedly face having any benefits paid to a provider taxed as income. Do you have anything pertinent to this possibility. Conceivably if my insurance carrier pays $5000.00 to a healthcare provider that $5000.00 will be taxed against my Social Security Income. Is it legal?

At the time I thought the story was an odd one to devote so much time and attention to. If a plane slams into a building that’s “breaking news”, but this? Passport peeking? I thought the coverage at MSNBC verged on the bizarre. Someone looked at Obama’s passport information . . . really what was the big deal? Strange, indeed, to devote so much time to something, that on the surface appeared to be rather minor and of little note.

Peter…..you are correct……in 1894 and 1913 the Supreme court ruled that taxing people pay was unconstitutional……there is NO law that says you have to pay taxes on the money your employer pays you…..it is strictly voluntary and not mandatory….the 16th amendment as I understand it was put in place and says the FEDS do not have the power to make mandatory any new tax!! There can only be direct tax and indirect tax and forcing citizens to pay taxes on the money they earn for services does not fall into either category!!! Watch the documentary I have posted here numerous times since yesterday…

Today I received a post card from the CENSUS. Notice before I mentioned that there was no Signature or the name of the Director and it looks like the only “required” info was the tope left box…everything else may be voluntary.
On the postcard today there is a signature and name of teh director and it sounds like it is all voluntary and no mention of renforceable or anything else. They acll it a request to PARTICIPATE. It was sent to yoru address as part of our effort to conduct the most accurate census possible. It is important that you respond. If you haven’t responded please do as soon as possible.

So, the House just passed verbatim the Senate H/C bill – complete with bribes, pro-abortion, and goodness knows how many other abominations. Things even a lot of House members are dead set against. But they were apparently appeased by being promised that the Senate bill would be “fixed” based on an extensive Reconciliation Bill the House also passed. Further the pot was sweetened by Obama issuing an Executive Order to prevent the Senate bill from funding abortions.
Well how stupid are they? Or how stupid do they think we are to buy such b-ll cr-p in November?
1. The House Reconciliation Bill is illegal and will probably never see the light of day. Further, it was difficult to get the Senators to agree to the exact form/wording of the bill as it now is – how eager will they be to change/dilute it?
2. The president cannot change a piece of legislation simply by executive fiat. The bill is what it is and says what it says. When Obama signs it, it will instantly become law, word for word. Even if he bothers to promulgate an Executive Order or to make a Signing Statement – these are worthless against any kind of constitutional challenge. And rest assured that there will be. Obama can then say “oops, I tried my best”. Further Obama could undo any Executive Order just as quickly and easily as he can create one.
3. Finally, there is NO WAY Obama intends to force “no abortions”. He obviously has something up his sleeve. By all past actions and all past words out of his mouth, he loves killing babies way more than any stupid H/C reform. He would no way ever agree to curtailing these activities, NEVER. Plus his major constituency would not let him.
So – bottom line – this is all just smoke and mirrors. You would think our representatives would be at least a little smarter than livestock.

The document, date-stamped March 18, 2010, was filed by William Spencer Connerat III and claims that Obama’s failure to answer his requests for confirmation of his natural born Citizenship is an “admission of ineligibility” and “the basis for an act of treason.”

I was born in Iron River, Michigan. My mother was of Polish descent and my father of Bohemian descent. My father worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps and then in the iron mines of Iron County. He died in a mining accident in 1957 and my brother and I were raised by my mother, with the help of family. I graduated from West Iron County High School in 1970. I have watched with horror and disbelief as congress has voted to spend trillions of dollars on legislation that no one even read. · Job Creation. Our best hope lies within the private, not public, sector. In particular, we need to support small business, which creates the bulk of new jobs. Government should step aside and let the free market work by reducing burdensome regulation and taxation.
· Fiscal Responsibility. Government is out of control and is squandering our children’s future! I say no to more government bail-outs, business takeovers, and growing entitlements. It is time to make drastic cuts in spending, balance our budget, stop printing money and start paying down our ballooning national debt.
· Lower Taxes. I believe that a government which governs least is a government which governs best. We need a government of the people, by the people and for the people. We need to reduce oppressive taxation and allow individual citizens to keep and invest more of their hard-earned money. We need to shrink the size and scope of our government to be in line with that envisioned by our founding fathers.
· Secure Borders. Immigration must be legal and regulated and our borders must be secure. Uncontrolled access to our country increases entitlement expenses, decreases available jobs and renders us vulnerable to terrorists who want to destroy us.
· Health Care. America has the best health care system in the world – a system which needs fine-tuning but definitely not a government take-over! We need to focus on free market reforms which will increase competition and decrease costs. A good place to start would be to allow health care insurance to be tax deductible, portable and sold across state lines. Additionally, we must pass tort reform to rein in skyrocketing costs associated with frivolous medical law suits.
· Energy Independence. Radical environmentalism has rendered energy development next to impossible. While we must be good stewards of the earth, God gave us this earth and all its resources for our needs. America has huge coal, natural gas and oil reserves. We need to responsibly tap into these reserves and stop relying on other nations to supply our energy. In addition, we need to vigorously expand our use of nuclear power as a safe, clean and efficient source of energy.
· National Defense. It is a primary responsibility of our federal government to provide a strong national defense to protect our nation, our liberty and our ideals. We should honor and respect our armed services and veterans, not undermine their strength and dignity. Additionally, we must aggressively pursue the war on terror and we must try prisoners of war in military tribunals, not as citizens in our civilian courts.
· Second Amendment. I believe in the individual’s right to self defense. The right to bear arms secures other rights such as freedom of speech, freedom to assemble and freedom to practice religion. If we allow disarmament of our citizens, we render our nation vulnerable to tyranny.
· Right to Life. I believe in the inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Paramount is life. From conception to death, all human life must be considered sacred and must be protected.
If you believe in personal responsibility and limited government, please support me in my effort to change the status quo in Washington and return responsible representation to the 1st District of Michigan. If you feel powerless as you watch our government take your hard earned money and spend it foolishly, choose me. If you want an honest, hard working congressman who will answer your letters and phone calls, choose me.

Nick “Gunny Pop” Popaditch was born in East Chicago on July 2, 1967. He was raised in Indiana and graduated from North Terre Haute High School in 1985. The following year he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.
Nick served with the 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division, was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, and served as a tank commander during Operation Desert Shield/Storm in 1991. After six years of active duty service Nick was honorably discharged in 1992.
For the next two years he worked on a construction crew in San Diego, during which time he was promoted to crew chief. The Popaditch family relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana, when Nick took a job as a correctional officer with the Indiana Department of Corrections. Despite promotion to Officer in Charge of a housing unit, the Popaditch family missed Marine life, and in September of 1995 Nick reenlisted back into the Marine Corps.
Popaditch reported to 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division at 29 Palms, California, where he once again served as a tank commander. Based upon his proven performance in the Fleet Marine Force, Nick was assigned as a Drill Instructor at MCRD, San Diego from 1998 until his return to the 1st Marine Division in 2002.
During Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003), Nick was assigned as a tank commander and Platoon Sergeant. Fighting at the “tip of the spear,” Nick’s unit was recognized worldwide as a symbol of American freedom when it helped topple the infamous Saddam Hussein statue in Firdos Square in April 2003. There, an AP photographer snapped a photograph of Nick in his tank’s cupola smoking a cigar with the statue of Saddam looming in the background. The stunning image, which earned him the nickname “The Cigar Marine,” appeared on the front pages of newspapers around the globe. Following his return stateside as a Gunnery Sergeant, Nick volunteered to return to battle in Iraq in 2004.
“Gunny Pop” was awarded the Silver Star for actions in combat that April during Operation Vigilant Resolve (the First Battle for Fallujah). During the same battle, “Gunny Pop” was wounded in action by a Rocket Propelled Grenade to the head. Blinded, he was medevaced to Germany and then stateside. At Balboa Naval Hospital, 8% of the vision in Nick’s remaining left eye was restored by the hospital’s tireless professionals. Nick was medically retired at the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.
Nick is an active advocate of veteran’s issues. In addition to advising and consulting, he serves on the boards of multiple organizations advancing the care of our wounded and their families. Drawing upon his Drill Instructor background, “Gunny Pop” is finishing his California state teaching credential in social science at San Diego State University.
Nick is the author (with Mike Steere) of Once a Marine: An Iraq War Tank Commander’s Inspirational Memoir of Combat, Courage, and Recovery (Savas Beatie LLC, 2008), which earned a coveted spot on the Commandant of the Marine Corps recommended professional reading list for all ranks, won The Military-Writers Book of the Year for 2009, and was a national book club selection. Only a certain segment of the American populace voted for pp; those who were hypnotized and drank the Kool-Aid. The rest of his voting pool was fraudulent; dead, voted multiple times and/or machine-generated!
IMHO, we did not have an election, and he did not garner the percentage of the vote they said he did. Accordingly, the election results were announced before half of the country voted.
In addition, a certain percentage of the population, who voted for him in droves, have been socialized for generations…they are already dependent upon the government for their daily bread so they would vote for someone who promised to help them continue to receive benefits paid for by those who work for a living.
People who lost their jobs certainly did not vote for pp; people who owned guns did not vote for pp; people who are knowledgeable about his past associations did not vote for pp.
IMHO, Al Sharpton is an expert in only one area, creating controversy that garners attention to his radical ideas and himself.
However, maybe, his is correct; those who voted for pp voted for a handout; like the woman who expected him to pay her mortgage and gas bills!
None of us, IMHO, voted for SLAVERY! Those of us who did have known nothing else in their lives…it is their status quo, and they don’t want it changed.

Slimey Bastard, Al skipped that One Big Ass Mistake America lied about things like: if you like your doctor you can keep your own doctor, if you like your plan you can keep it, nobody is going to pull the plug on granny, no tax increase, no national deficit, premium will decreased, you will save money…. Jesus, name it he lied it. He has been doing the opposite of what he said period. Did not keep one promise except taking his wife on a date on our tax dollars.

By your thoughtlessness with your lack of any obvious effort to make a more educated decision and vote in accordance with the accepted Constitution, the “Law of the Land” for more than 230 years, our precious Constitution you have committed treason and should be ashamed of yourself. If you are so well versed in our Constitution, please show me where exactly in those hallowed pages there is any right, either expressed, implied, or inferred that the U.S. Government had some sort of permission to force it’s citizens to accept, under the threat of financial penalty, medical insurance, or for that matter, any kind of insurance. I did not go to DC but went to Columbus due to money.Cheaper for me to go to more local,which I have not seen any footage from any media on the local level of people showing up at their state capitals.Good turn out for spur of the moment.People knew about the BC issue,and it doesn’t matter where he was born his father held Foreign soverignty to Kenya.Alot of people are tired from both sides ,been lied to from both.They want constitutional candidates that work for them.Trust me they are taking notice!It was so inspiring and full of great love for our country!They are studying the Constitution more and more each day!Here’s one video that was put up from Ohio!

Well, you’ve gotta call a porker for what it is.
The backlash is great to witness :).
A couple of things: First, we need to keep the heat on with the calls, faxes and e-mails. They think that just because the vote is ovah, they’re off the hook….wrong!
A suggestion at Freeper was that when we call we slowly say (almost in a whisper) Nooovvvveeeemmmmbbbbbeeeerrrr. I like that!
Also, I think that unfortunately, we may be reading about some suicides. A person’s conscience pretty much rules his/her life and I’m of the opinion that some will just not be able to live with themselves after the stupidity they manifested with this vote. Don’t be surprised if a few take themselves out.
The sh*t has hit the fan; the question is where it lands…

Well, we know they ridicule when they can’t back up anything they say with facts; it’s just a tactic.
Of course they’re gonna pull the race card and I have to laugh at that; Barky is Arab and Caucasian…only a small percentage of him is Black and that’s why he refers to himself as a ‘citizen of the world.’
The Blacks were suckered, too; what has he done for them except screw them over (think Chicago projects run by slumlords)? They’re not part of his ‘agenda’ so he shoves them out of the way, just as he does with the rest of the American citizens.
All tactics to get him elected. Appeal to the masses.
An acquaintance commented on this today and I tend to agree: It’s not race that makes the person, it’s what in his heart. I see pure evil in Barky’s heart and I’m sorry to say this, but I think it’ll be a very cold day in hell when anyone ‘of color’ is elected President down the road. There are some good people out there (Alan Keyes springs to mind) but I see an uphill battle for any ‘minority’ who chooses to run in the future.
Yes, the civil rights movement was a historic time and I’m glad I was around to see it, but I’m sorry to say that this particular Kendonesian has set race relations back to the 1950s.

I’m not sure if you’re aware, but back in July ’09, Kathleen Sebelius signed a decree granting vaccine makers total legal immunity from lawsuits should we get sick or die from the H1N1 shot.
In essence this document also gives the pharmaceutical companies permission to put any “untested vaccine” out on the market.

I find comfort in the fact that not only did CWers not buy their hype, but neither did the rest of the world; millions of shots just sitting around with no takers. They were trying to sell their surpluses to ‘developing countries’ for cheap, but even they didn’t want the stuff.
Now, I follow this, as you know, and I don’t ever remember a setup where the manufacturers couldn’t be held accountable for any harm their vaccines did.

If a company, any entity knew that they were not going to be held accountable in any way shape or form, wouldn’t they tend to become sloppy, criminal, etc. For instance say you worked in a bank and had to total out at night, wouldn’t you want to make sure your cash agreed with the balance-not off by hundreds, thousands, millions of dollars. No accountability makes no sense in any entity. I would not want to make a product that would hurt people accidentally or intentionally, hence a huge need for whistle blowers for those who would cut corners, or not value human life-on a par with murders if people are poisoned due to neglect in whatever form neglect takes.

In a March 16 memo Office of Management and Budget (OMB) director Peter Orszag ordered federal agencies to resume funding the group whose employees were caught on hidden camera videos last year condoning and encouraging a variety of crimes including child prostitution and tax evasion.
The memo came a week after renegade federal judge Nina Gershon of the Eastern District of New York made permanent her temporary injunction prohibiting Congress from cutting off funding for ACORN. If that 39% actually knew what was in there instead of the lies they were told, that total would be more like 10% – or even less.
Everyone who lives and works in our country should pay into Social Security.
However, I believe that you must be a citizen in order to collect SS benefits. Your payments as a foreigner into Social Security is what you pay for the privilege of living and working in the USA.
When and if a foreigner applies for citizenship and goes through the process to become a citizenship then, and only then can he or she be eligible to receive SS benefits.

Between now and the midterm elections in November, the battle for the constitutional liberty of the American people will be decided. From day one, Obama’s behavior and that of his factional cohorts, has confirmed that the “change” they intend to impose on the United States is a change of regime- from a constitutional government that recognizes and respects the sovereignty of the people to an elite party dictatorship that imposes its will regardless of their consent.
Though some are still blind enough to believe that Obama is the cause and focus of this battle, others are finally waking up to the reality that Obama is simply an historical figurehead. He embodies the spirit of elite domination that transcends contemporary lines of party and ideological division. As that astute observer of history Alexis de Tocqueville realized, the United States of America emerged as part of a general movement in which the people as a whole challenged the rule by domineering elites that had been the invariable pattern for government throughout human history. Tocqueville thought that the special circumstances of the Americans, with respect to geography and politics (in the broadest sense), as well as moral and intellectual character, made their assertion of self-government the most promising salient of this democratic movement, which is to say the most likely to produce a stable result, reasonably consistent with justice and basic human decency. Something of the outward luster of human ambition would be lost, but the general material and spiritual contentment of humanity would be well served.
It’s fair to say that until the present day the results far exceeded Tocqueville’s expectations. Keep in mind that Tocqueville was no cheerleader for democracy. He understood its inherent dangers, including especially tendencies that combined the dissolution of natural social institutions (like the family) with a taste for the concentration of political power. This portended a gradual elimination of intermediary human agencies, which would leave isolated individuals helplessly subject to the irresistible power of one pervasive and controlling tyrannical power. Tocqueville saw hope for democracy in America precisely because the religious character, and the social and political habits of its people, worked to mitigate democracy’s decline toward tyranny.
By and large, the people who most profoundly shaped and influenced the establishment of the United States government appreciated the dangers of democracy just as Tocqueville did after them. Given that fact, and what should have been the effect of their own elite self-interest, it seems a miracle of Biblical proportions that a substantial proportion of the most influential American elite at the time sincerely understood and embraced the promise of greater justice involved in the democratic political principle. They accepted the premise that just government had to consult the will of the whole people when making judgments that affected their common good. But because they reflected, and meant to respect, the social and political habits of Americans (what they called the ‘genius’ of the American people) the founders of America’s constitutional republic consciously crafted political institutions that embraced democracy in principle, but in which the implementation of republican and federal principles served to mitigate its most dangerous effects.
Tocqueville thought it likely that among Americans the republican form of government would outlast the government of the United States. He argued that the moral effects of slavery would divide the character of the people, leading, perhaps inevitably, to conflict and separation between the slave states and the free. As it turned out, he has so far been proven wrong in both respects. Tocqueville understood that the religious, moral character of the American people was crucial to their ability to understand and preserve the political institutions that implemented their sovereignty. But because he did not foresee the moral developments that preserved the Union through civil war, he could not foresee the intellectual developments that would provide the basis for an elitist movement first to subvert and then to overturn the historic movement toward government based on the consent of the people. Where liberty was concerned, the “genius” of the American people combined an understanding of justice derived from the authority of the Creator, God (natural right); with an understanding of human nature that makes human liberty a function of the equality by God’s will of all human beings (natural rights). This recognizes and relies upon God as the source of the basic provisions for justice in human affairs. It is in this sense that the authors and signers of the Declaration of Independence especially relied upon God’s Providence for protection as they embarked upon what they knew would be a difficult struggle to sustain it.
This appeal to Providence had to do with God’s moral and spiritual provisions, the ones that guide conscience and sustain moral confidence amidst the dangers of battle and imminent death. It has little to do with provisions for material comfort, or even the necessities of life. The signers of the Declaration expected death and wounds in battle. They expected the loss and destruction of material possessions. Most of them were not disappointed. What they expected and got from God was the moral assurance that their actions were justified; and the courage born of knowing that, as subjects of God, human beings enjoy an objective worth and dignity that cannot be measure or destroyed by any material thing. This is the courage that with no false bravado taunts “O Death, where is thy sting? O Grave, where is thy victory?”
Such courage, and the successful assertion of self-government it makes possible, was especially the historical fruit of maturing Christian faith. Without the prideful ethos connected with aristocratic heritage; without the violent hatred and resentment that fire the uprisings of desperately brutalized and downtrodden masses; people at large could find the courage deliberately to undertake the dangerous work of resisting injustice, whether on their own behalf or for others. When the America revolution occurred Americans were materially pretty well off, not economically desperate. They acted with deliberate courage, and in light of passions stirred and moderated by a sense of justice. This led to the establishment of national democratic republican institutions that avoided the hate-filled excesses of the French revolution and could even survive the excruciating anguish of the Civil War and its aftermath.
Yet ironically, the ostensible triumph of freedom over moral and economic slavery in the nineteenth century may have set the course on which moral, economic and political slavery (totalitarian centralism) stand poised to triumph over America’s republican form of government in the twenty-first. This tragic irony is all too aptly confirmed by the personal background of the man now set up to be the focus and figurehead of the relentless, elitist effort to overturn the constitutional sovereignty of the American people. Though in skin color he superficially resembles the people freed from slavery by America’s bloody civil conflict, both his claimed African tribal heritage and his lifelong commitment to Marxist-Leninist ideology place him among the elitist enslavers of humanity.
Obama’s indoctrination in Marxist-Leninism also identifies him with an understanding of human history that conflicts with any reliance on God’s providence as the basis for understanding human justice. Yet as Lincoln articulated it, the common sense of the American people understood the Civil War to be a consequence of God’s provision for human justice. Thanks to the moral confidence that resulted from that understanding, the Union survived the division caused by slavery. But the triumph of the North was also the triumph of the Northern industrial base. It marked the emergence of a society that would come more and more to reflect the mores of urban life. Over time those mores have become increasingly materialistic, increasingly centered on human arts and sciences, technology, and engineering (the works of human hands). Such mores began to produce people with little interest in or tolerance for an understanding of God’s providence that defines human equality in terms of human rights (i.e., the human obligation to do right) rather than human needs and material desires. Though the words of the American Declaration of Independence still stir their feelings, such people are increasingly indifferent to the invocation of God’s authority without which the words lose any claim to stand upon objective truth.
The fact that most American’s still profess to believe in God and even in His Creation should offer some hope that America’s allegiance to its founding creed can be restored. That ought to be the aim that fuels the deliberate purpose of those who must rally now to drive from office the elite subversives bent on replacing liberty for all with the renewal of elite tyranny. But who is there now to call them to that firm and true reliance upon God’s providence that is the key to a sustained effort, that will not ebb and flow with every turn of events, or every deceitful maneuver aimed at mollifying their rightful indignation? If only there were true Republicans, truly committed to preserving the real meaning of the term. If only there were true Democrats, who really cared to preserve the government of, by and for the people- instead of arrogant elitists who subvert and overturn “the liberties of republics…paying obsequious court to the people; commencing demagogues and ending tyrants.” And if there are such true partisans of American freedom, if only, despite all our prideful rejection of Him, God will bring us to those places of the heart where we will rally to His cause and so restore our own.

Idaho has set the example for others states to follow in the continuing revolt against naked body scanners, by passing a law that limits the use of the x-ray scanning devices in airports and government buildings and also forces Homeland Security to disprove health concerns.
Athol Republican Rep. Phil Hart’s bill, which was passed 58-9 on Thursday by the Idaho state legislature, limits use of the scanners to people who have failed a prior security check, such as a metal detector.
The bill also enforces by law the option to take a manual pat-down as an alternative to the body scan, a choice that was never available in other countries that have introduced the scanners and one that the TSA has made clear it seeks to abolish, forcing everyone to use the scanners.
“Hart’s bill would also require the Idaho Department of Homeland Security to prove the scanners aren’t detrimental to health before any machine is allowed to operate in the state,” reports the Associated Press.
Despite governments claiming that backscatter x-ray systems produce radiation too low to pose a threat, the Inter-Agency Committee on Radiation Safety concluded in their report that governments must justify the use of the scanners and that a more accurate assessment of the health risks is needed.

Having entertained houseguests for a couple of

we have a war to win.
You know, after pondering “what if” the
vote had gone our way, I can see that the
resolve is higher and the fervor more intense
the way it turned out. A “no” vote would have
been a victory, but perhaps only a temporary
one at best. Now, we realize how ferocious this
war really is, and the progressives have been
stripped of their facade.
This battle was hard fought and tested the
endurance of all patriots. As a result we are
stronger and the progressives have been
shown to be what they really are – a bunch
of common criminals and thugs willing to do
anything to achieve their goal of slavery for
the American people.
Personally, I love the admonitions to seek God’s

“The government takeover of health care will go down in history as the worst piece of legislation to emerge from a Congress held in general disdain by the American people. The only bipartisanship on the health bill was in the opposition.
Usually autopsies are reserved for after the patient has died, but in this case it is useful to get ahead of the matter. The malformed health legislation is not the only reason Democrats are facing political extinction in November, but it is one of the most dramatic. The legislative process in this country has never been so unseemly. Arm twisting, backroom deals, special privileges and potentially criminal “government jobs for votes” agreements became a normal way of doing business. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi fixated on the mantra that the Democrats’ health plan is “historic,” but so was the Black Plague.
President Obama went to Capitol Hill on Saturday to give a final pep talk to Democrats, where he absurdly called his socialist health care measure “one of the biggest deficit reduction measures in history.” This contradicts the chief actuary at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, who says his staff currently has no idea what the impact of the plan is “due to the complexity of the legislation.” Democrats have been hoodwinked into believing they won’t pay a political price for their actions, but they will soon discover they miscalculated.
The new system will suffer a tsunami of bad publicity when states sue the federal government over unfunded mandates, when the IRS begins enforcing the aspects of the bill that voters never knew existed, when small businesses start firing employees because they cannot afford the higher costs of the new system, when new and unforeseen costs blow out the already record federal budget deficit, and when seniors begin to feel the impact of Medicare cuts. All of this is what Mr. Obama euphemistically calls “bending the curve” but which seniors will find out is better termed “denial of care.” Whether the formal “death panels” will convene before the November elections is still to be determined.
Many members of Congress probably don’t know exactly what is in the bill. The 2,300 pages of “fixes” to the Senate bill presented last week were only a draft, and no member can be certain what has been slipped in. A frantic Democratic Party memo sent out Thursday instructed members — twice, in italics — not to “get into a discussion of details of the [Congressional Budget Office] scores and the textual narrative” with the bill’s opponents. But the devil was in those details. Mrs. Pelosi’s offhand statement that members would learn what was in the bill after it was passed should have been a warning.
The majority party was even having problems over the weekend determining if they could vote to amend a law before it was signed by the president. It is a sad day for America when senior members of Congress either dont understand the Constitution or no longer think it applies.
Democrats in Congress refuse to believe the contempt with which the American people hold them. Gallup shows congressional approval ratings in the teens and headed downward. Gallup also found that “more Americans believe the new legislation will make things worse rather than better for the U.S. as a whole, as well as for them personally.”
Democrats are in much worse shape than in 1994 when they lost power, and the opposition is far more energized. Once voters have a chance to tell the most irresponsible government in American history that enough is enough, the Democrats’ brief reign will expire, and be deemed death by suicide.””

They’ll fight it in the courts. They’ll fight it in the states. They’ll fight it at the polls in November and in 2012. While Democratic leaders hailed the House vote Sunday night and the likely Senate passage of a companion “reconciliation” bill, Republicans insisted that the war over health care is far from over.
“This will not stand,” a defiant Newt Gingrich, a former House speaker and architect of the 1994 GOP takeover of Congress, told The Washington Times in an interview. “We should challenge every candidate in 2010 and 2012 to be for repeal.”
“The people I represent in the state of Arizona are not going to sit still for this. They’re going to want this repealed,” said Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican. “We will challenge this in the towns, we will challenge this in the cities, we will challenge this in the farms. We will challenge this all over America.”
President Obama on Tuesday morning is set to sign the bill approved Sunday night by the House, and plans a trip to Iowa on Thursday to tout the legislation’s benefits and build political momentum. Separately, the Senate on Tuesday formally takes up a second bill of “fixes” to the first bill, with the Democratic majority using a procedural route to sidestep a GOP filibuster.
But Republicans in Washington and beyond the Capital Beltway vowed to fight on.
In Utah, several GOP governors met Monday to discuss ways to block the implementation of key parts of Mr. Obama’s health care plan even after it becomes law. Among their options: a constitutional challenge to mandates in the bill that all citizens and legal residents must purchase health insurance.
“If Congress goes ahead with this financial and economic insanity, which is unconstitutional, then we’ll sue,” Idaho Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter told The Times on its “America’s Morning News” radio show Monday.
On Capitol Hill, GOP lawmakers in both the House and Senate introduced bills to repeal what Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota called “the Democrats’ government takeover of health care.” The move came just hours after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pushed through the vote late Sunday night at the close of an often raucous House debate.
A number of GOP strategists suggested that Republican candidates this fall will run on a platform of repeal. Polls were already projecting significant Republican gains in Congress and in statehouses even before health care reform was passed.
“Let’s fire Nancy Pelosi,” Republican National Committee Chairman Michael S. Steele said in a fundraising e-mail sent to party donors Monday, suggesting that big GOP gains in November could cost the California Democrat the House speaker’s gavel. ”

GOP Sharpens Health Bill Amendments”

President Obama on Tuesday is expected to sign into law the health care overhaul, but the battle over alterations demanded by House Democrats is just beginning in the Senate.
Republicans are preparing a series of amendments and objections to the secondary bill designed to force Democrats to take difficult political positions.
Republican Sen. Charles E. Grassley of Iowa said Monday he plans to introduce an amendment to require the president, Cabinet members and White House staff to buy their insurance through the government exchanges. As written, the overhaul prevents them from going to the exchanges because they get their insurance through their employer.
Senate Democrats are expected to have the 51 votes they need to pass the package of changes under reconciliation rules. So the drama will rest with the Senate parliamentarian, who will decide whether the Republicans’ objections are legitimate, and with Republicans, who will decide how long they plan to try to block the bill.
Any change the Senate makes to the legislation would force the House to take another tough vote to pass the plan and possibly kill it.
Top Senate Democrats have said that they have asked the rank-and-file to vote against every amendment to the bill — even if they agree with them. (!!!!)
Sen. Bernard Sanders, a Vermont independent who caucuses with Democrats, was expected to introduce an amendment to establish a public insurance plan. But a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Monday that he hasn’t seen any pending Democratic amendments.
The package of changes passed the House on Sunday after the primary bill passed. It would decrease the impact of a tax on high-cost insurance plans, eliminate state-specific deals that critics say were crafted to “buy” votes and insert a new Medicare tax on wealthy Americans. Thirty-three Democrats joined all 178 Republicans in opposition.
House Democrats said Monday that they’re confident the Senate can complete the job.
“We’ve received every assurance the Senate will move forward this week,” said Rep. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
“In the very unlikely event that it would happen to come back to the House, we will get it done. The votes are clearly there to get it done.”
The Senate will debate the bill through Thursday and then start voting on the amendments in a frenzy called “vote-o-rama.” Lawmakers stay in the Senate chamber all day working through votes on the amendments with only a few minutes to debate the merits of them or read them.
Republicans also say they plan to raise many objections to the so-called Byrd rules that restrict what kind of legislation can pass through reconciliation. For instance, they plan to argue that the bill’s tax on high-cost insurance plans would impact Social Security, which would be a violation of reconciliation rules.
Republicans said Sunday, shortly before the House voted, that they are confident the objection would hold up, but Democrats on Monday called it a phony move designed to scare House Democrats.
The parliamentarian, Alan Frumin, would decide whether the objection is legitimate. Whoever is presiding over the Senate at the time – it could be Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. – would decide whether to accept his advice. If the objection is deemed legitimate, Democrats would have to corral 60 votes to override the decision.
But all 41 Republicans have said they wouldn’t support such a move.
Sen. Ben Nelson, Nebraska Democrat, said Monday that he intends to vote against the reconciliation bill because it includes changes to the student-loan industry that would essentially ban private banks from issuing student loans. Sen. Blanche Lincoln, Arkansas Democrat, has said she plans to vote against the bill as well because she doesn’t agree with reconciliation. ”
