Sarah Palin book tour, Rush Limbaugh interview, November 17, 2009, Going Rogue, Governor Palin interview, Republicans, Independents, Reagan

Sarah Palin, former vice presidential candidate, and now author of a new book, “Going Rogue”, was interviewed by Rush Limbaugh today, Tuesday, November 17, 2009.

Here are some exerpts from the transcripts:

“RUSH: We are going to open this hour with a rare personal interview, a rare guest.  It doesn’t happen much on this program, but we are happy to have with us former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, whose book, Going Rogue, hits the shelves today and it’s already headed for I think a record in sales.  Governor Palin, thanks for making time.  It’s great to talk to you again.  We spoke last Thursday in an interview for the Limbaugh Letter, but it’s great to have you here on the radio.
GOV. PALIN:  Hey, thank you so much, and dittos from an Alaskan.
RUSH:  Where are you, by the way?  Where are we speaking to you from?
GOV. PALIN:  In a hotel room in New York City.  I’m going to do a couple of interviews after that and then head to Grand Rapids for the kickoff of the book tour.
RUSH:  This is going to be exciting.  Are you looking forward to that?
GOV. PALIN:  I am so looking forward to this.  I cannot wait to meet some of these good Americans all across this country.  It’s going to be a blast.
RUSH:  They can’t wait to meet you, judging by the reception you got during the campaign.  Now, ladies and gentlemen, Governor Palin, when we spoke last Thursday I spoke to her a lot about the things in her book regarding the campaign.  That stuff you’ll read in the Limbaugh Letter, and I predicted to Governor Palin then that much of her book would be ignored in light of the dirt that she was supposedly dishing from the campaign.  So Governor Palin what I’d like to do here is go some different directions from what we did in the newsletter interview and start with the economy.  We have 10.2% unemployment.  We see no end in sight.  The administration and others are suggesting next year could be just as bad with unemployment going up to 11%.  What would you do differently than is being done now?
GOV. PALIN:  It’s over 10%, and in fact it could be closer to 17 or 18 when you consider those who have kind of given up and are not applying for unemployment benefits. So it’s bad, it’s really bad and then of course Fed Chair Bernanke announced that there are still weak job prospects for the very short term and probably long term, and that’s an uncomfortable place for our country to be.  What we need to do is shift gears and really head in another direction because what we’re doing right now with the Fed, it’s not working. We need to cut taxes on the job creators.  This is all about jobs, creating jobs.  We have to ramp up industry here in America, and of course reduce the federal debt, quit piling on and growing more.  But those commonsense solutions there, especially with the cutting taxes on the job creators, that’s not even being discussed.  In fact, increased taxes is the direction it sounds like Obama wants to go.
RUSH:  You mean that you don’t even hear it being discussed on the Republican side or within the administration?
GOV. PALIN:  Within the administration, and as it is discussed on the Republican side, Republicans need to be bolder about it.  Independents need to be bolder about that solution that has got to be considered and plugged in.  This is the only solution that will be successful.  We need to rehash some history that proves its success.  Let’s go back to what Reagan did in the early eighties and stay committed to those commonsense free market principles that worked.  He faced a tougher recession than what we’re facing today.  He cut those taxes, ramped up industry, and we pulled out of that recession.  We need to revisit that.
RUSH:  Why do you think this administration is ignoring that blueprint?  What is their ultimate objective here?  They’re sitting in the middle of abject failure of their number-one stated goal, and that’s job creation.  So what are they really trying to do here do you think?
GOV. PALIN:  Well, you wonder, you wonder because history proves what will work and you wonder if they’re realizing that and if it’s just perhaps a stubbornness at this point that they are so committed to going down this road of growing government and interjecting the Feds’ control in the private sector more and more, which will prove to be more failure.  I don’t know if it’s obstinate thinking that they’re engaged in right now or if they truly just do not believe what the free market, free enterprise economic solutions are that built up this country.
RUSH:  Do you think this is going to be a major issue in the congressional elections in 2010, and if so, how would you advise Republicans to pursue it?
GOV. PALIN:  It better be a major issue, absolutely.  Of course, national security will be, too, and hopefully we’ll talk a little bit about some of the decisions being made in that arena that cause so many of us concern but, yeah, the economy, that’s what it’s going to be because it’s all about jobs, it’s all about Americans who are hurting right now and what those solutions are that are so obvious, so commonsense that need to be plugged in.  And those are Republican, they’re commonsense conservative principles that we just need to apply.
RUSH:  New York-23 is being portrayed as a race in which you and I — because we supposedly went up there — handpicked Doug Hoffman, he supposedly lost, even though that race, they still haven’t finished counting the votes.  It’s two weeks!  This is not Chicago.  They haven’t finished counting the votes.  He says he wishes he could un-concede now.  But they’re trying to diminish conservatism, and I think in the process intimidate the Republican Party from going in that direction.  What’s your read on New York-23?
GOV. PALIN:  I think this is exciting.  It’s encouraging.  No matter the outcome even with his recount of some of those, well, uncounted ballots, it’s exciting that the race is going to be even closer, and it’s a clearer and clearer picture that what Americans are seeking, even in a district there in New York, they are seeking commonsense, conservative solutions to all the challenges that we’re facing.  I’m glad to see this.
RUSH:  So the positive thing there is that the Republican Party was rebuffed in nominating essentially a RINO, a liberal?

GOV. PALIN:  Well, I think what you saw there is — and of course it’s not just the Republican machine, it’s the Democrat machine, too.  You know, if you’re not the anointed one within the machine, sometimes you have a much tougher row to hoe and that’s what Hoffman faced. He was the underdog.  I think great timing for him, though, to stand strong on his conservative credentials and essentially come out of nowhere and prove that an American without that resume, without that machine backing can truly make a difference in an election like this.

RUSH:  Well, now, you used the term, “If you’re not the anointed one by the party machine, you’re the underdog and you have a tough row to hoe.”  Based on things that I read, the Republican establishment would not anoint you to be a nominee of their party should you choose to go that way.  I’m not asking you the question because I know you’re not going to answer and give away what your plans are in 2012.

GOV. PALIN: (chuckles)

RUSH: Do you consider yourself one of these unanointed ones within your own party?

GOV. PALIN:  Well, to some in both parties, politics is more of a business.  It’s not so much a commitment to an agenda or a person or values or issues.  It’s more of a business — and, no, I’m not a part of that.  So if they’re going to keep using that way of thinking in their decisions on who they anoint, who they will support or not then, no. I’ll never be a part of that. But hopefully we’re going to see a shift with independents, with the Republican Party and the Democrat Party, and we’re going to get back to what the issues are, what really matters, and then hopefully we’re going to go from there, which will be much fairer to the electorate.

RUSH:  All right, independents, slash, third party.  A lot of people — mistakenly, in my view — are looking at New York-23 as evidence that, see, a third party could actually do well. But that’s not a good example because there was no primary there.  As you said, the party bosses chose Dede Scozzafava on the Republican side and a Democrat.  Had there been a primary, New York-23 would not have been constituted as it was.  So what are your thoughts now on the viability of a third party if the Republican Party can’t be brought around?

GOV. PALIN:  You know, to be brutally honest, I think that it’s a bit naive when you talk about the pragmatism that has to be applied in America’s political system. And we are a two-party system. Ideally, sure, a third party or an independent party would be able to soar and thrive and put candidates forth and have them elected, but I don’t think America is ready for that.  I think that it is… Granted it’s quite conventional and traditional, but in a good way that we have our two parties, and I think that that’s what will remain. And I say that, though, acknowledging that I’m not an obsessive panther, I understand why people — good people like my own husband — refuse to register in a party. Todd’s not a Republican and yet he’s got more commonsense conservatism than a whole lot of Republicans that I know because he is one who sees the idiosyncrasies of the characters within the machine and it frustrates him along with a whole lot of other Americans who choose to be independent.  But in answer to your question, I don’t think that the third party movement will be what’s necessary to usher in some commonsense conservative ideals.”

  1. Watching Sarah on the center stage these next couple of days is going to be fascinating. It’s like a coming out party. Looking forward to it!!!!

  2. Thanks CW for all you’re doing to keep us informed. Saddest thing is I need to thank you, what happened to My Father’s Country? We were once a people for the people. We knew our neighbors, helped the old and handicapped. What happened? Ironically, For the First time in my life I am disgusted with my Country!! Unlike Michelle… Thief !!!!!

  3. Last night I was flipping through the channels on TV and the DemoCRAPS have their panties in a wad already just after the one interview that Palin did with Oprah…..the are already trying to discredit her and trying to get people to believe she is not a real threat in 2012….there is especially an evil woman name Stephanie someone on Larry King who can not say one good thing about Sarah….she is an SOB in my book

  5. I listened to part of Dr. Manning’s, Nov. 17th audio, and let’s say that they arrest him. Okay. Couldn’t this lead to getting the discovery process going? You’d think so. Maybe he’s thinking, bring it on, bring in on now!

Of course, those guys could have been bluffing him too. Regardless, I hope that his attorney knows and is ready to handle those thugs. And Dr. Manning didn’t make a threat. He just said the truth of the matter.

We need to urge the Senate to NOT include the Stupak Amendment because Stupak and others have stated that if it’s not in the Bill, they won’t vote for it! There are many pro-life Blue Dogs(God Bless Them for That) that voted for the House Bill because the Stupak bill was included. Without that amendment, it would not have passed.

    Army,

Do you remember when listening to Dr. Manning about him on an occasion mentioning that that long-legged mack daddy need to be tried for treason, then hung and shot or something? I think it’s about that, but there are other things that he didn’t bring up. I guess they took that as a threat.

I mean, give me a break. He said he needed to be tried for treason, then hung, etc. How can that be a personal threat? That’s a statement. Not that he was going to do it himself.

  17. God Bless Rev. Manning!!!!!

  18. LM-Fraud will be a hit no doubt about it. I have seen parts of the video elsewhere. I love to hear my fellow Americans speaking their minds, even if I don’t always agree with them. Obama’s speeches leave me cold, it seems to me he uses a thousand words to say NOTHING. I hope all the American people wake up with this movie, and more than that our legislative and judicial branches. The people have had enough of the same old political rhetoric (pap) that fixes or changes nothing or makes an issue worse. Health care bill over 2,000 that is ridiculous on its face. Just fix the parts that may be broken- 10 pages. I don’t think their political tricks work for either party anymore. Good bye and good riddance to very bad rubbish. Obama is from the cesspool of corruption he would have to climb high to become bad rubbish.

  19. If he said this first , ” he should be tried for treason” and then hung , etc, that implies he meant though the Justice system, .

If he was questioned on this , then he should file charges , violation of his constitutional rights.

  20. Army,

I’m fixing to go back to free republic because someone has posted a link to listen to and said that he didn’t say anything wrong.

And maybe BO is feeling some guilt, which is a good sign that something in his mind might be a little right. Maybe it’s not guilt, though. Heck, who knows what goes on in that guy’s mind. I’m sure that I don’t really want to know anyway.

  24. From the moment Sarah Palin stepped onto the national stage, she held my interest. She spoke plainly and clearly of her love of country and of Alaska. As I read her impressive biography, I couldn’t help but admire her regardless of her Party affiliation. I found her both intelligent and knowledgeable of what it means to “serve” her constituents and the state of Alaska.

As an American and a woman, I was embarrassed by the media coverage of this fine lady and her family. While those in the public eye can expect scrutiny, the opposition went further than anyone could anticipate to criticize her. And yet, she took it all gallantly and tried her best to support her running mate even though he was less than supportive of her IMHO.

Whatever Sarah Palin does, she puts her best effort into achieving. I do not doubt her book tour will be a success nor do I doubt she will again succeed in winning the hearts and minds of the American people.

IMHO, she “owns the sandbox” and if the boys want to play in her sandbox, they had better play nice or they will have more than dirt on their faces. If you think you are going to side-line the “Baracuda,” you had better think again, boys!

Ladies, Hillary will not run for POTUS again. She has aligned herself with a “losing” administration and no matter how hard she tries to disassociate herself with them, she will not be able to do it IMHO. Michele Bachmann will represent her state well when she runs for the Senate, and Sarah Palin could run for the Senate as well or they both could team up and run for the White House…who knows?

Rush’s interview with Sarah Palin was a treat! Thanks for posting this interview, CW! As usual, you are right there “on the front lines.”

    Peace…Linda

  25. Army, here’s the link from FR that tells you what Dr. Manning says. Yep, he calls Beck a Nazi and calls others crooks too.

Well, you’ll just have to listen to him. He was talking about justice prevailing and justice convicting BO of treason, not him personally hanging him: http://atlah.org/atlahworldwide/?p=1193

You have to scroll down to there it says AMN, just a little down.

Oh, this is the FR link: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2388502/posts?q=1&;page=51

They’re having a pretty good discussion on it. And I’m thinking that the reason that he is saying this about Beck, and not only Beck, is that he says Beck probably knows BO is an illegal. They, meaning those talk show guys need to start talking about the birth certificate issue. Keep pushing on this issue. However, I think it’s more about all of his papers instead of just he BC because thinking about it, what if he received foreign monies from other nations for his college.

  26. Reverend Manning may be a “little rough around the edges,” but he speaks “truth to power.”

From the “get go,” he has spoken to his congregation and chastised them for backing a man who was not of their heritage. After all, he is a “Preacher” who must be the strongest witness to the truth for those who “believe.”

While his style may appear “crude” to some, to others he “tells it like it is.” He has had some people leave his church because they did not want to believe what he was saying about pp was true. He is, however, a “light” in the darkness that spotlighted the “audacity” of one man who he believed was in “cahoots” with the evil one.

He gets angry when people blindly follow anyone who “talks the talk,” but cannot “walk the walk.” His sermons, at times, are admonishments to the stupidity of the masses. And yet, he has been one of the few who have publicly called out the Fraud and who is not afraid to do so.

As usual, Reverend Manning gets fired up and yet, anyone who has listened to his broadcasts knows he will never incite others to violence. Words are often taken out of context to discredit the messenger. I believe Reverend Manning believes pp should be tried for treason against this country. In days of old, the punishment was hanging. Since Reverend Manning believes pp has committed treason, then his conclusion is he “should” be hung. That, however, should not be taken literally because it is no longer a punishment we dole out today. All Reverend Manning is saying is, he believes pp has committed the highest form of crime against the citizens of this country, and the punishment should fit the crime. It is that simple.

May God Bless and keep him safe…Linda

  27. Greta is going to talk about the five million pink slips…

  28. Hi, Linda:

When Dr. Manning mentions “hanging,” I know exactly what he’s talking about. A crime of treason is really a high offense to any nation whether one lives. And it deserves the ultimate punishment just like a person murdering someone. Treason is horrible, i.e. You committed a huge sin against your country, meaning the people in that country, being against mankind, i.e., and you’re also committing a sin against Yahweh, who is against treason himself.

  29. Typo, meant to say: to any nation wherever one lives…

    sorry

  37. Every American needs to see this Documentary.

Proof: We’ve been scammed by the Federal Reserve Banks and the IRS.

There is no law requiring us to pay an income tax. The Founders were vehemently against a tax on ones income.

In 1913 the Federal Reserve Bank moved it’s blood sucking tentacles in on our society, started printing money for congress, and what did they want as payback?

The ability to impose an income tax on us.

This documentary has actual attorneys and IRS agents telling you plain as day, that we’ve been had.

    There is no law!

It’s a scam that we’ve all been groomed from birth to believe.

Wake up your neighbors, spread the word, pass this link on to everyone you know!

Why would they want to arrest Manning now, after he has been saying the same for almost 2 years? Why are there so many resignations as Charlton clearly spells out?

I’ve been posting about the clear signal that China will no longer kowtow to the U.S. Economically and therefore politically the situation is tenuous at best for this administration.

Obama’s appearance on Fox is a clear signal that their war against Fox has failed. And the president continues to look like “death warmed over” so to speak.

The Feds are printing money at a furious pace, but are barely able to stave off an economic crisis, while Bernanke is reassuring that the American dollar is doing fine. Meanwhile Buffet is sounding the alarm bells that the American dollar is dead. Consequently gold is positioning itself to go through the roof, and if that isn’t a statement about the American economy I don’t know what is.

    Is this another Watergate moment?

  52. Hi, Linda:

You’re welcome! And that fits this term, which you can say that he made a name for himself, meaning Judas. Even in today’s time, a person can be accused of being a Judas, which carries a very bad meaning:

    Main Entry: Ju·das
    Pronunciation: \ˈjü-dəs\
    Function: noun
Etymology: Late Latin, from Greek Ioudas, from Hebrew Yĕhūdhāh
    Date: before 12th century

1 a : the apostle who in the Gospel accounts betrayed Jesus b : a son of James and one of the twelve apostles
***2 : traitor; especially : one who betrays under the guise of friendship
3 not capitalized : peephole —called also judas hole, judas window

lol I’m thinking our founders would have put him in a lock box.

I vote to put him in a locked padded room. That behavior is, well, I would say cuckoo, but I don’t want to insult the cuckoo bird. But truly, Reid’s personal mental health issues are glaringly obvious.

Everything our country’s founders did was to protect the people from these kind of underhanded shenanigans. !!!!!

    Thanks! Right back atcha.

  56. Linda from NY // November 17, 2009 at 10:43 pm

    Hi Linda,

Maybe he *does* wanna get arrested-that’d certainly put the whole birth certificate issue on the front burner…no talk from him of Cap and Trade, the DeathCare bill-none of that. Dr. Manning’s focus is and has always been the *birth certificate!*

I think the gubmint is really thinking about this, now. Let’s see if they make the smart move, or the stupid move. If they make the stupid move, you can bet the MSM won’t be able to ignore his what, 2M + followers?

(Bunny is much better-thanks! His appetite is up and that’s what we’re looking for right now.)

  57. Yep! Reid’s got the bill locked up but the Senate is suppose to vote on it Friday????

    How is this Legal?

  58. Kidmon // November 17, 2009 at 10:44 pm

    Hi Kidmon,

As we’ve seen all along, these thugs will stop at nothing. Intimidation? I’d like to see them try; they picked the wrong gut to try to intimidate.

I watched Dr. Manning’s vid-there’s no threat there, and there’s nothing he says that isn’t true. Even though it’s been modified through the years he’s right-the penalty for treason is hanging. It’s history; it can’t be changed. These days there other penalties for treason however, some countries still stick to the original punishment.

Let’s see how it all shakes out. Praying for Dr. Manning.

  59. Kidmon

Do you have a link for that?

  60. I don’t think they want to arrest Dr.Manning.

He has a huge following, and it would open up a severe can of worms for Obama. That would be like arresting Glenn Beck.

They would be asking for a war they can’t win.

    NOT legal.

  67. I think when the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke Pastor Manning was listening. How many times was the Rev. King arrested before this nation obeyed its Constitution and Civil Rights was finally passed, not that long ago. I hope Pastor Manning’s civil rights are not violated, but Obama has violated all civil rights for all Americans.

  68. c.n.d.e. ville II

I find I am bearing a grudge against Congress.

Re: the death fare bill, I want to say: If you had done your job — to expose and remove this fraud, or at any immediate moment would do your job — we would not be wasting our time with these bills that are so bogus the people touting them should be arrested.

Congress people pressure us to help them defeat a bill, when all the while THEY are sitting there with the power to stop the whole charade.

This phenomenon, I just do not get.

I AGREE totally. We have to get SANE people back into Congress.

  69. Sue K:

Glad to hear “Bunny” is doing better…power of prayer sure is amazing.

For Reverend Manning, the birth certificate is all we need to know about pp because “all of the above” is null and void if he is proven to be an illegal alien. All of his appointments, all laws he has signed, all executive orders…even the election…becomes null and void.

If he had nothing to hide, why is he hiding all documents that could point to his eligibility? Answer: because he knows he is ineligible, and he knows if those documents were made public, he is finished…he has failed. Wonder what the punishment would be from his “handlers.”

Whew…NY is “in the news” a lot lately!

Go, Bunny, Go…soak up all of that love!

  70. We need to elect businessmen not lawyers and lobbiest! We need to change campaign laws, give each candidate a certain amount of money and that’s is all they can use. Most of all we need to outlaw lobbying – its all a power struggle and the one with the most money wins! This is WRONG!

We also need to outlaw unions. Unions are a fly in the face of Equal Opportunity, BS!!!!!!

  71. Maybe to pay for the HC bill they could cut the secret service budget….

  72. Now there’s an idea!

Maybe Dr. Manning has something up his sleeve? As I said, this may be the thing that breaks this wide open; you *cannot* ignore Dr. Manning!

I tell my Obot friends that each day he keeps those documents sealed, the guiltier he becomes. He knows he’s ineligible…for cryin’ out loud isn’t he supposed to be a Constitutional attorney? He’s admitted it several times and I just ask why it’s up to the American people to have to prove it?

His handlers will toss him aside (or worse) and get the next fall guy in line to pick up where Barky left off. I’m convinced that there are more, just waiting.

If she is serious about her opposition to o., WHY did she not step in as Governor to give standing to the military folk seeking to verify his credentials through the Court?

From that standpoint, she appears to be just like the other leaders and media people; she consistently and successfully avoids the issue of o.’s real identity and the fact that his “presidency” is as illegal as can be.

  90. Linda NY,

    good morning,

Just catching up this a.m. and saw your post.

Yes, resignations were coming. I believe this was from Lindsey Williams warnings courtesy of his “death bed confession” with one of the elites.

Something else I’ve noticed in the past two weeks, a few movie trailers as well as ads for upcoming tv specials/shows that fit with those predictions. It’s how they acclimate us.

One other thing I’ve noticed is the about face on women needing regular mammograms – saying new findings say….blah blah. This is pure garbage, IMO, and is nothing more than getting us ready for the bad medicine coming our way – and we’ll think nothing of it. Day in and day out we are ALWAYS being programmed for something either by way of the Internet, radio, television, magazines or newspapers.

Regarding Rev. Manning, I can’t help but wonder if he did this on purpose since he was outwardly frustrated with the Tea Party Goers. Or, was it indeed a slip of the tongue? He has spent a number of years in prison as a young guy and came out of incarceration committing his life to God.

I bet his congregation and family are beside themselves. He’s a fearless man, and was willing to risk it all for this country, wasn’t he?

  91. JustMe,

To carry on perhaps with Linda’s question. Yes resignations are significant, but as a precursor to what kind of event?

What I was trying to say, is we all know what the “ultimate event” will be – One World Order operating under U.N. Control. The forming of unions – E.U., North American Union others yet to come, presided over by a president of “the world” and governed by United Nations rules/laws enforced by U.N. troops.

Obviously, there will be many events leading up to that “one.” We see a number of those events happening now, under the guise of environmentalism, healthcare reform, safety, sustainability, etc…So, to answer what event these resignations are a precursor to is difficult, as it could be any number of events. Does that make sense?

    Arresting a black Reverend??

  111. Peter Francisco,

you’re on a roll this morning! Love your energy.

I have always loved Rev. Manning. He’s the real deal. I, too, believe his name will be right up there next to MLK and Booker T’s.

I was listening to his video this morning and believe the context of what he was saying was speaking of what happens to those who have committed a treasonous act and are facing “the squad.” (You can fill in the blanks here. I don’t want the S.S. to pay a visit to CW for something one of us would post.)

This, to me, was evident by continuing the conversation of treason and including the names of others guilty such as Hillary, Cheney…

  112. Just Me:

Makes perfect sense to me, but there are “interim” events and missing puzzle pieces that will help us thwart the “planned” outcome IMHO.

I cannot help but think we might be missing a “piece” of the puzzle. The writing is “on the walls” all around us; we just have to “read and heed.”

We need to be ever watchful of the “warning” signs lest we be caught “off guard.” We need to keep hammering home our objections, not only that we “disapprove” of what they are planning on doing, but that we “are” going to prevent it.

    Thanks for your ever-thoughtful posts.

    snipped from:
    http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=16152

Obama is carrying on the work of George W. Bush and Henry Paulson. He’s trying to pry open Chinese markets to US financial services. That’s right, the lavish executive junket doesn’t have anything to do with human rights, climate change, or dollar/yuan rebalancing. That’s all just public relations mumbo-jumbo. 100% bunkum.

…[T]he outsourcing of jobs, the off-shoring of businesses, and the “free trade” laws are mainly the work of cutthroat American corporatists NOT the “rascally Chinese” as the media would like everyone to believe.

CHINA IS NOT DESTROYING AMERICA; blue-blooded, brandy-guzzling, Harvard-educated Americans are. It’s just good-old-fashioned class warfare….and our class is losing.

For those who want to know what Obama’s trip is really all about; ignore Obama altogether and read Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner’s article in the Wall Street Journal, “The Road Ahead for Asia’s Economies.”

It tells the whole story. Geithner candidly admits that US markets will remain stagnant for years to come and that other emerging nations (ie China) will have to develop their own domestic markets so that WALL STREET speculators can attach themselves parasitically to a more succulent host.

In other words, more lowering of trade barriers, more lost jobs at home, more unemployment.

The article concludes with a spirited appeal from Geithner to China to open its markets to the gaggle of financial pirates and bank-vermin who just blew up the global system and are looking for new prey.

The fact that Sarah Palin avoids the eligibility issue is befuddling to me as well.

However, it may be that addressing this issue would slow her momentum…deter her from her goal of gathering the disaffected to her side.

Has Michele Bachmann mentioned the eligibility issue? I don’t think so.

It’s a “red herring” better left to the “conspiracy enthusiasts” in their world…so they think.

How is it the entire Congress sat idly by when they verified the electoral vote? Were they threatened? Are they complicit? Why didn’t Cheney ask for any objections? Accidentally on purpose? Are they all already “one party” that stages the “fight” for their amusement?

    Who knows?

    Peace…Linda

Notice which medical specialty is not represented on the task force that came up with this decision?

  130. Something about Pastor Manning reminds if of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. I think it is the rhythm, rhyme and meter of his lectures. So he had a little visit from the secret service, who must have been embarrassed to visit him. If I were in the secret service I would want to be working on crime and criminals and terrorists etc. not wasting my time harassing men/women of the cloth. For all AMERICANS, I hope Rev. King’s words come true..”in the words of the old Negro spiritual. FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST, THANK GOD ALMIGHTY WE ARE FREE AT LAST.”

  131. Obamateur’s INSURGENCY PRESIDENCY originated and trained by the Communist wing of the CIA with funding and backing of Muslim Jihadists and NWO bankers. This happened because we have a “Free” (more like Slave) Press that is devoid of intellectual and ethical honesty or curiosity and a populace that has been propagandized and brainwashed by the EROSIONIST MOVEMENT in the USA and all over the world to be malleable into submission.
This Erosionism take a big leap during Woodstock when all that we knew for community standards was turned upside down. All of a sudden criminality and perversion were main streamed and teh cancer spread from there.

We as Christian Conservative of Common Sense need to step up and stand up to stem the Erosion and return this country to our Foundings that happened with the Guiding Hand of a Loving God.

Spread the TRUTH, make it a point to tell one person per day and bring them here to this Blog and others like it to open their yes like ours have been opened.

    God Bless US

How very true! BTW…have you noticed more people are returning to church?

I think when people suffer, they returned to their Faith. We have much repenting to do for our errant ways IMHO.

However, I take comfort in the words “the few will save the many.” Hope you can, too.

    Peace be with you…Linda

Health ‘Reform’ Gets a Failing Grade
The changes proposed by Congress will require more draconian measures down the road. Just look at Massachusetts.
    by JEFFREY S. FLIER

As the dean of Harvard Medical School I am frequently asked to comment on the health-reform debate. I’d give it a failing grade.

Instead of forthrightly dealing with the fundamental problems, discussion is dominated by rival factions struggling to enact or defeat President Barack Obama’s agenda. The rhetoric on both sides is exaggerated and often deceptive. Those of us for whom the central issue is health—not politics—have been left in the lurch. And as controversy heads toward a conclusion in Washington, it appears that the people who favor the legislation are engaged in collective denial.

Linda….I believe both of these women know the FRAUD is not eligible and they are waiting for the right moment…..Michelle was confronted with the question before and sort of side stepped it but never said it wasn’t true…..I think she knows he is a FRAUD but she has to be careful not to be labeled a “birther” until enough of them can gang up on the FRAUD and his minions!!!

  140. More P-BO Stuff….

The Rev. Manning was on the Michael Savage show stating Obama should bring his grandmother to the WH for Christmas. If Obama didn’t do it, Rev. Manning said he and his church would.

According to Senators being interviewed there is only one copy and Reid’s locked it up so noone can read it!. Sen. McConnell stated they can’t read it but are suppose to vote on it Friday!

My question to Reid is WHY? and what are you hiding?

They are following the lead of their “leader” Obamateur HIDE, SEAL and LOCK everything! Hide the TRUTH at all costs while professing that you stand for transparency and truth. Maybe stand in front of it to hide it.
That is how we play Obamateur Monopoly Transparency.

Well, be damned, if the bill hasn’t been read, would a sane person vote for it??

Oh, right, that requires common sense, and that leaves out most of Congress.

Linda, this has always been my thought……but not necessarily threatened with their lives or their families……something much bigger, I’ll leave it there for now.

AP Turns Heads for Devoting 11 Reporters to Palin Book ‘Fact Check’
Reviewing books and holding public figures accountable is at the core of good journalism, but the treatment Palin’s book received appears to be something new for the AP. The organization did not review for accuracy recent books by the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, then-Sen. Joe Biden, either book by Barack Obama released before he was president or autobiographies by Bill or Hillary Clinton. The AP did more traditional news stories on those books.

The attraction to Palin doesn’t appear to be partisan, since AP didn’t fact-check recent political tomes by Republicans Rudy Giuliani or Newt Gingrich.

  147. Another town hall meeting with birth certificate questions….

  148. jj—what do you think happened at the EC vote that day? I thought it was all crooked, but I have no clue past that.

  149. Linda,
I just read your questions to JS—all of them are right on target and these are the ones we are all struggling with, too. I agree that MB and SP and probably everyone in the Congress knows about the ineligibility. And, I’d like to know why on earth VP Cheney didn’t “ask” the question? This has bugged me since that day. But, it’s not just Cheney—it’s all of them.
