Now, with what I know about the charges that were filed against attorney Leo Haffey, the harrassment of and pressure placed on the Haffey family, the formal charges recently filed against Haffey’s hearing judge, Gloria Dumas by the TN Judiciary Committee, the suspicious affidavits that were filed against Haffey and other details, I am outraged.
I contacted the Nashville District Attorney’s office several days ago and contacted the recipient of a request for investigation. She could not talk to me. Her boss has not returned the call.
Yesterday, Thursday, October 8, 2009, I spoke to the office of Joseph S. Daniel of the Disciplinary Counsel for the Tennessee Court of the Judiciary, and left a message for him to call me. As of 11:00 AM ET, today, Friday, October 9, 2009, I have received no call.
It is clear that Leo Haffey did not receive a fair hearing. Allowing the recusal of Judge Gloria Dumas is not enough. At the very least, Leo Haffey should immediately receive a new hearing and be released on bond.

Three affidavits below echo what I was initially told, that the incidents involved neighbors and that no one was hurt. It never made sense that Leo Haffey was held on no bond under these circumstances. It makes less sense now unless the judge who was apparently recused was indeed biased, politically motivated or very misinformed. I do know that Leo Haffey was evaluated soon after his arrrest and found to be no harm to himself. He also is being held in a minimum security facility.”

Stokes found, pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated 5 17-5-304(d)(2)(A), that there is reasonable cause to believe that the Honorable Gloria Dumas has committed judicial offenses alleged herein in violation of Tennessee Code Annotated 5 17-5-302, and directed disciplinary counsel to file formal charges pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated § 17 -5-304(d)(2) (A).”

Over the past hour I have had 2 conversations with TN judicial and prosecutors offices.
3:04 PM – Mr. Joseph S. Daniels returned my call from this morning. I discussed the formal complaint against Judge Gloria Dumas and asked if there was any procedure to protect defendants who are affected by her recent rulings. There is none. I explained my reason for calling and asked if he was familiar with the Leo Haffey case. He was not. He suggested that a complaint form be filled out. I would like to thank Mr. Daniels for returning my call.
3:25 PM – I received a call back from the Nashville District Attorney’s office, press liason. I mentioned the formal complaint lodged against Judge Dumas. She was not aware of it. They, of course, cannot discuss the details of pending cases. I expressed my deep concern that Leo Haffey did not receive a fair hearing from this apparently biased judge. I also referred to the suspicious affidavits that were filed and the request for an investigation that was sent to the DA’s office. The lady I spoke to was friendly and indicated she also wants justice to be served. I urged her to read the formal complaint lodged against Judge Dumas. I would like to thank the DA’s office for returning my call.
Citizen Wells comment – I do not know how other jurisdictions handle such situations, but I think this is a sad state of affairs when the public is not more protected by judicial misconduct.

The more I think about the joke of Obama receiving the Peace Prize, that fool in the 20 years he was a community organizer South Side of Chicago he couldn’t bring peace to the children who are murdered there everyday. What would you do if you were Judge Carter?
Judge Carter surely knows that “natural born citizen” (as distinguished from “citizen”) to be POTUS disqualifies Obama since Obama’s dad was a British/Kenyan citizen on Obama’s birth. Judge Carter surely knows that Candidate Obama, in his individual as opposed to official capacity (that is, before he became POTUS) committed fraud over said ineligibility; and that this damaged Candidate Keyes, outside of any quo warranto action to eject ‘President’ Obama in his official capacity, the former being justiciable and actionable in his court. Yet at the same time, Judge Carter rightly feels it is unfair to dump the most significant crisis in American history since the Civil War in his courtroom, that being the bloodless coup against our Constitutional Republic, when absolutely no other entity will act, including Congress, the Supreme Court, the Military Joint Chiefs, nor or any major political party or media outlet.
So, Judge Carter does the best he really can, which is, leave the Keyes trial scheduled and at the same time leave the Dept. of Justice’s motion to dismiss pending without decision — that is, until events compel him to act.
Our collective prayers should be with Judge Carter.

Please read about the man who had attempted to investigate voter fraud, election fraud, and fund raising fraud by Obama and his organized crime syndicate and then was inexplicably arrested on a trumped up charge. The official charges are assault. His bond was revoked. He remains incarcerated. No one has been injured and there are serious questions about the political motives of his accusers who are politically powerful liberal Democrats.

The conversations at the Cosmos Club this week were very subdued. As it has been for generations, this is where the true power elite of Washington gathers. Whether it was in the East Garden Bar, the Old Club Room, or the Members Dining Room, the savviest veterans of Capitol Hill and K Street – Democrat and Republican – had a tone of fear and seriousness you didn’t hear the week before.
Something had scared them. Scared them like an earthquake had fractured their political foundations. The one whispered word you could overhear more than any other was “Copenhagen.”
For them, President and Mrs. Zero flying off to Copenhagen to beg the International Olympics Committee for Chicago and being rejected was not a matter of humiliation. It was scales falling off their eyes, and in an eye-blink realizing the enormity of the mistake America made last November.
And at breakfast in the Garden Dining Room this morning (10/09), there were hardly conversations at all, just shocked silence. The consequences of giving a president afflicted with pathological egomania combined with pathological amateurishness the Nobel Peace Prize were so grave they were speechless

I looked into the Nobel Peace Prize when it was given to Gore. It turns out that it is political. Unlike other Nobel prizes in science where a committee of qualified scientists make an award determination, the Peace Prize committee is made up of 5 people who are appointed by the norwegian parliament. There used to be a section on the website that explained the process of getting to be a committee member. It seems to have been removed. But basically these positions are political appointments by the parliament. Imagine is our house of reps got to create a committee to award prizes and then imagine who the recipients would be.

It’s hard to tell who is more shocked by this morning’s announcement that Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize. Obama? Bill Clinton? The right? The left? Reporters who were present at the Oslo announcement audibly gasped. Gore, Carter, Obama, soon Bill Clinton. See a pattern here? They are all leftist sell-outs. George Bush liberates 50 million Muslims in Iraq, Reagan liberates hundreds of millions of Europeans and saves parts of Latin America. Any awards?” Limbaugh says “Obama gives speeches trashing his own country and for that gets a prize, which is now worth as much as whatever prizes they are putting in Cracker Jacks these days.”

Do you realize Obama was nominated for the Novel Prize only two weeks into his term of office? Uh, this is what is going on here. Regarding your previous post regarding not counting all H1N1 cases: This started back in the summer, when the cases of suspected H1N1 flu completely overwhelmed every city, town and county in every state.
Many state labs would test only 1 out of every 5 samples and we know that the CDC in Atlanta sent their protocols to the states because they were also getting clocked with samples.
I did speak with someone ‘in the know’ about this, and it appears that of those presenting in E.D.s with ‘flu like symptoms’ only a few of that number actually tested positive for H1N1 with a rapid response kit. The rest were either regular flu, or no flu at all.
If every sample that came in were to be tested, the number of employees would need to be increased many times over, so what they’re doing is getting a *representative* sample of the cases at a particular location. In the interest of time and lack of personnel, more conservative testing had to be put into place.
We know this thing is widespread on the global scale and thank goodness that for the most part, it’s a mild flu. Those showing symptoms (unless they have a chronic underlying medical condition) are to stay out of work/school and ride it out.

Keep in mind that the prizes are political. There is a lot of pressure from different political bodies. Obama, just as Gore before him, is a stooge of the New World Order Crowd, of the Carbon Exchange, Cap and Trade Ponzi Scheme crowd, and a protege of Saudi Arabia. These people have bet billions of dollars and don’t want to let go of their puppet without a fight. They are trying to pull any string they possibly can to legitimate this fraud. An award is just one of those strings. Jimmy Carter got a Noble Peace Prize and he is known as a Saudi Money stooge who shamelessly appeared on TV, showed zero integrity and claimed that all criticism of Obama is racially motivated. After hearing this idiocy, do you still believe in High IQ and moral integrity of people getting Noble Piece Prize?
Percy Sutton an African American former Brooklyn Borrow president went on the record, on National TV (it was available on you tube) stating that a known Radical Muslim activist Al Mansur approached him asking to write a recommendation for Obama for Harvard law school, and he stated that Obama was supported by the Royal family of Saudi Arabia during his education.. in the last few years that I have been aware of them they do cover many religious based issues, freedom of speech and gatherings and such, but they have also been involved with Abortion/Life for people on a number of levels. I don’t read everything they send. They sent an email back in the spring that had to do with the radicalness of obama’s agenda and how they were go to fight his dismantling of the constitution.

Over the past hour I have had 2 conversations with TN judicial and prosecutors offices.
3:04 PM – Mr. Joseph S. Daniels returned my call from this morning. I discussed the formal complaint against Judge Gloria Dumas and asked if there was any procedure to protect defendants who are affected by her recent rulings. There is none. I explained my reason for calling and asked if he was familiar with the Leo Haffey case. He was not. He suggested that a complaint form be filled out. I would like to thank Mr. Daniels for returning my call.
3:25 PM – I received a call back from the Nashville District Attorney’s office, press liason. I mentioned the formal complaint lodged against Judge Dumas. She was not aware of it. They, of course, cannot discuss the details of pending cases. I expressed my deep concern that Leo Haffey did not receive a fair hearing from this apparently biased judge. I also referred to the suspicious affidavits that were filed and the request for an investigation that was sent to the DA’s office. The lady I spoke to was friendly and indicated she also wants justice to be served. I urged her to read the formal complaint lodged against Judge Dumas. I would like to thank the DA’s office for returning my call.
Citizen Wells comment – I do not know how other jurisdictions handle such situations, but I think this is a sad state of affairs when the public is not more protected by judicial misconduct.

This is so critically why it is important to ensure that the ‘appointers’ are upstanding. The fish rots from the head down.

Citizen Wells, as I am aware of Leo’s situation, I must tell you that I live in Waynesboro, Wayne County, Tennessee…I have sent hundreds of emails to Tennessee radio stations, news stations, and Tennessee newspapers…I have also sent lots of information to Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh also, but guess what??? I have read the above comments from a few Tennesseans and they are so correct, TENNESSEE is CORRUPTED BIG TIME…For instance, here in my own town/county where I live, our Elected County Judge who is an attorney, another well known attorney, the lady that is head of the Child Support Division, but is now the County Judge in a County east of us and our local, who lives here, Assistant District Attorney, were all busted a few years ago by the TBI (Tennessee Bureau of Investigation) at darkness one night on our own Courthouse Grounds, that sits right squarely in the middle of our town square for a VERY LARGE QUANTITY OF COCAINE…A friend of mine witnessed this happened as when these four CORRUPTED ELECTED OFFICIALS AND ATTORNEYS saw that the TBI agents were surrounding them…The County Judge took off a running and was tackled by one of the TBI agents…This story was not published in our local newspaper, but was published in The Daily Times located in Florence, Alabama the next morning, which we here in this county do receive it bia newspaper stands…It was also on just one of the Nashville News Stations our of several…We never heard anymore about it…They all got to keep they jobs, or like the Child Support lady, she became a judge, east of us…Had I not seen our County Judge wearing an ANKLE BRACELET (because I never saw the broadcast on the News Station in Nashville or had the opportunity to read The Times Daily, until a few weeks later, I would have never believed this…NOW TELL ME, DO YA THINK ALL OF TENNESSEE IS CORRUPTED??? YES, IT IS…I know of two District Attorneys with the last name of BOTTOMS that are cousins to the Gambino’s from the north and north east crime syndicate…I have been told on several occasions that every county on the southern part of Tennessee where I live, that touches the other states all have small time mafia groups involved in the courthouses, police forces, etc…I have watched in the Court in my County on several occasions of inmates who were innocent and sent to prison…I have seen our local County Jail mistreat inmates physically and practically starved to death…There are many things here that I could let you know about, but, I guess I should shut up for now, or I will end up like Leo…Best Regards CW, MoralsMan

True to form, I knew Obama needed SOMETHING to trump the glaring defeat of Copenhagen’s not choosing Corrupt Chicago to host the Olympics — but until now, I didn’t quite think the Obama minions would resort to manipulating the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Prize now, has been devalued and lost its import. By giving this to a person so undeserving, others have no incentive to strive hard to win its prestige as they have just witnessed how easy it is to get it.
There’s obviously nothing I can say that hasn’t already been said about the fraud of president, but keep this in mind: When Obama was told that he won this coveted Prize, he said this: “”After I received the news, Malia walked in and said, ‘Daddy, you won the Nobel Peace Prize, and it is Bo’s birthday.’ And then Sasha added, `Plus, we have a three-day weekend coming up.’. . .”.
So here’s my question! How many children whose parents don’t have jobs, and who do not have enough to eat, and many without shelter, have the LUXURY of remembering that its their dog’s birthday and that its a 3-day weekend?
The privilege and pretentiousness of the Obamas is galling.

Can a sitting president receive a Nobel Peace Prize?

There’s a problem for President Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize victory and it’s not his inexperience. From Article I, Section 9 of “that neglected curio,” the U.S. Constitution:
“No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”
Per Wikipedia, the Nobel Prize is awarded as follows:
“…the Norwegian Nobel Committee consists of five members elected by the Norwegian Storting (the Norwegian parliament).[9] In its first stage, several thousand people are asked to nominate candidates. These names are scrutinized and discussed by experts in their specific disciplines until only the winners remain. This slow and thorough process is arguably what gives the prize its importance. Despite this, there have been questionable awards and questionable omissions over the prize’s century-long history.”
While the Norwegian Parliament has no say in who receives the prize, the role it plays in selecting the committee ties it to the state. Congress will have to vote on whether to allow Obama to accept the prize.
UPDATE: Well, Roosevelt and Wilson accepted it while in office, but does anyone know if there were similar questions being asked at the time?
UPDATE 2: Ed Whelan of the Ethics and Public Policy Center sends me this, U.S. Code Title 5, Part III, Subpart F, Chapter 73, Subchapter IV, Section 7342: Receipt and disposition of foreign gifts and decorations. (Of course.) It does specify that the President is included in this:
(b) An employee may not—
(1) request or otherwise encourage the tender of a gift or decoration; or
(2) accept a gift or decoration, other than in accordance with the provisions of subsections (c) and (d).
(c)
(1) The Congress consents to—
(A) the accepting and retaining by an employee of a gift of minimal value tendered and received as a souvenir or mark of courtesy; and
(B) the accepting by an employee of a gift of more than minimal value when such gift is in the nature of an educational scholarship or medical treatment or when it appears that to refuse the gift would likely cause offense or embarrassment or otherwise adversely affect the foreign relations of the United States, except that—
(i) a tangible gift of more than minimal value is deemed to have been accepted on behalf of the United States and, upon acceptance, shall become the property of the United States; and
(ii) an employee may accept gifts of travel or expenses for travel taking place entirely outside the United States (such as transportation, food, and lodging) of more than minimal value if such acceptance is appropriate, consistent with the interests of the United States, and permitted by the employing agency and any regulations which may be prescribed by the employing agency.
Depositing the money with the employer would mean, well, putting it in the Treasury I would assume. But what of the title of Nobel Prize winner?
(d) The Congress consents to the accepting, retaining, and wearing by an employee of a decoration tendered in recognition of active field service in time of combat operations or awarded for other outstanding or unusually meritorious performance, subject to the approval of the employing agency of such employee. Without this approval, the decoration is deemed to have been accepted on behalf of the United States, shall become the property of the United States, and shall be deposited by the employee, within sixty days of acceptance, with the employing agency for official use, for forwarding to the Administrator of General Services for disposal in accordance with subsection (e)(1), or for disposal in accordance with subsection (e)(2).
So to play it safe (and to get some kudos for constitutional-mindedness) he should have Congress do a quick vote to allow him to accept the award. (Perilous question: If Congress passes a resolution allowing him to accept this award before they pass health-care reform, they could face criticism for bad priorities. It also becomes even more of a political football.)
And, lest we forget, the law definitely appears to discourage this sort of thing:
(i) The President shall direct all Chiefs of a United States Diplomatic Mission to inform their host governments that it is a general policy of the United States Government to prohibit United States Government employees from receiving gifts or decorations of more than minimal value.
Everyone, I am being told that the Nobel Peace Prize was chosen only two weeks after bo was sworn in to office, so that would put it at Feb. 3rd…
Now tell me, what did he do in those 14 days to deserve this!!!
