Remember Ross Perot, the Texas Billionaire? Remember Perot’s pie charts. Remember phrases like “This ain’t rocket science”.

Ross Perot has a new website:

http://perotcharts.com

The question at the top is, “Why this website now? Because we are running out of time.”

“The American people must wake up and face the reality that promises made in the past will soon bankrupt this nation. These problems are explained in an easy-to-understand chart presentation discussed further at the bottom of this page. Comments to the charts and other material described to the right are encouraged.”

Meet the Press, Obama, Tim Russert, May 4, 2008, Obama lovefest, soliloquys

Barack Obama was the guest of Tim Russert on Meet the Press, Sunday, May 4, 2008. Did Russert ask Obama tough questions? Did Obama answer tough questions or did he launch into another diversion of a soliloquy?

Did Russert ask Obama about William Ayers?

Did Russert ask Obama about Robert Blackwell?

Did Russert ask Obama about Tony rezko?

Did Russert ask Obama about Larry Sinclair?

Did Russert ask Obama about Donald Young’s murder?

Here are questions Tim Russert asked Obama:

1. Jeremiah Wright.  Russert asked a few tough questions about Wright and the fact that Obama knew about Wright’s hate sermons in 2007.

Obama used the opportunity to distance himself from Wright and used most of the first 20 minutes as a soliloquy to talk about race, etc.

2. Russert asked if Obama thought it was fair to question his judgement.

So far, after about 20 minutes, it has been an opportunity for Obama to present his platform and ignore questions with diversions, and soliloquys.

I will keep you updated.

3. Oooh, here’s a tough question. What do you think about Clinton’s temporary gas tax removal?

Obama agreed it wa pandering. Why didn’t Russert ask Obama if he had done anything meaningful in the senate regarding our energy policy.

4. Oooh, another tough question. What about ethanol a subject important in your state?

5. Iraq and Iran. Would you support limited strikes in Iran?

Obama responded:

Iran is the beneficiary of our being in Iraq. We should have regional discussions and direct talks. When asked about the comments that a quick withdrawal from Iraq would cause genocide, Obama spoke of a phased withdrawal. He mentioned 1 to 2 brigades per month and taking 2 years. (This sounds like the current plan).

6. Should the US protect other nations from Iran.

Obama gave an evasive answer unlike Hillary’s earlier response.

7. Afghanistan. Would you as president, be in favor of a surge?

Obama, yes.

8. If the super delegates get together and pick Clinton, what would you do.

Obama rambled and spoke of supporting the Democratic party against John McCain.

This was one of the worst interviews I have ever witnessed. It came as no surprise. NBC is in bed with their “golden boy”, Obama. I am disappointed in Russert. He is capable of so much more. We get no surprises from the MSM.

Marc Rich, Denise Rich, Clinton pardons, criminals, Denise Rich donations, Rewriting History

Dick Morris, in his book “Rewriting History”, addresses the Marc Rich pardon and large donations to the Clintons and Democratic Party from the exwife of Marc Rich, Denise. Here are some excerpts:

“Of course, that was not Clinton’s only problematic pardon. The most controversial went to Mark Rich, a fugitive who fled the United States, renounced his American citizenship, and settled in Switzerland to avoid answering federal fraud charges. National anger over pardoning a man who wouldn’t appear in court and was no longer even an American citizen-and still won’t come back to the United States as of this writing-was long and loud.

Rich’s estranged wife, songwriter and Clinton supporter Denise Rich, fought hard for the pardon, and distributed her financial largesse far and wide to win favorable consideration. Among her donations to Clinton-related funds was $ 450,000 to the Clinton Library, $10,000 to the Clinton’s legal defense fund, $ 70,000 to the Hillary Clinton campaign or committees that suppported her campaign, as well as a gift of $ 7,000 worth of furniture to the Clintons. Rich also gave $ 1 million to the Democratic Party and other Democratic candidates.”

“Rewriting History” by Dick Morris is a must read.

Posting rules, disagreement, civility, accuracy, insults, hate, Clinton versus Bush taxes

Several days ago I posted an email that was sent to me regarding the tax rates and federal taxes imposed under the presidency of Bill Clinton and George W Bush. I clearly stated that the data came from an email and provided a link to The Tax Foundation. I knew that tax rates have been lower during the presidency of George W Bush and that Democrats are generally known for raising taxes and Republicans for lowering taxes. I posted the email as received and wanted responses. I received a response that is typical of a certain political segment that is known for slinging insults and an agenda of hate. The poster used a derogatory term and therefore the post got deleted. It was ok to disagree with a post on this blog or me. However, it must be done in a civilized manner. I have posted corrected data which still shows a big difference between the taxes paid during the Clinton years versus while George W Bush has been in office. This is one of the many lies about George W Bush that have been told, that he only cuts taxes for the rich. The Republicans try to keep taxes lower for everybody that earns income and thus prevent government from taking more of our money. It belongs to us!

My friends, I urge you to seek the truth. Do real research and go beyond the political rhetoric and lies.

Bush versus Clinton corrected tax data, tax tables, George Bush taxes

The email that was sent to me had some math errors, however the message is the same. Your taxes have been lower under the presidency of George Bush. Here are the corrected figures:

The table below presents the correct amount of tax paid by each of the hypothetical taxpayers in the comparison. Note that this comparison does not take into account the Alternative Minimum Tax, and the taxpayers in these examples take the standard deduction and do not have children.

Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Rewriting history, Dick Morris, Lies, Deception, Half Truths

US voters have short memories and many are oblivious to the truth and resemble more cattle been driven to the slaughter.

I have been revisiting “Rewriting History”, by Dick Morris, that was published in 2004 and made the NY Times bestseller list. Dick Morris was an advisor to Bill Clinton and became his campaign manager in the 1996 election. Dick Morris spent a lot of time with Bill and Hillary Clinton and knew them intimately. Dick Morris has become a serious critic of Bill and Hillary Clinton and in “Rewriting History” he reveals the truth about Hillary, the truth that only an insider and confidant could have. It still amazes me how much of the public ignores or refuses to believe the true nature of the Clintons. Here are some excerpts from “Rewriting History.” I urge you to read the book for yourself and do corroborating research.

“But some of Hillary’s hidden side is indeed dark.”

“Both of the Clintons are masters of subterfuge.”

“By contrast, Hillary knows full well who she is and what parts of her must never be exposed to public view. She reminds herself consciously, day after day, which parts of herself to hide and which to expose. Where Bill’s instinct for deception is neurotic, Hillary’s is opportunistic. He wants to hide his private life from our eyes; Hillary seeks to conceal her character from our view. But the things that Hillary hides are integral to her political essence. They are who she is and what makes her tick. Her trickery is designed to hide her most basic character and instincts from all of us.”

“The Clintons released their tax returns, but not for 1978 or 1979. Why not? I wondered. When the scandal about Hillary’s winnings in cattle future emerged, I had my answer: They were apparently anxious to hide her profits, lest there be questions about insider trading…”
“In fact, Hillary did not report her commodities profits on her
1980 tax returns; indeed, she reported a loss of $ 1,000. In April 1984, Clinton attorney, David Kendall had to announce that the Clintons were paying $ 14,615 in additional taxes, interest, and penalty on their underreported income for these years.”

A lot has been written about the “Whitewater Scandal”, but what Dick Morris has written is a must read. Here is a small sample:
“Hillary writes warmly of Susan McDougal for choosing years in jail rather than answer Starr’s questions. “Susan was suffering in jail for refusing to testify before the Whitewater Grand Jury.” But Hillary hasn’t always been so nice about Susan McDougal. When it looked as though she might turn on the Clintons, Hillary told me: “She is such a liar. She worked for Zubin Mehta and stole his silver. She’s crazy, unstable, and totally dishonest. You can’t trust a thing she says.” Susan was eventually acquitted of stealing from Mehta.”

“While I was working for the Clintons, I had firsthand experience with the tactics they used to distract, delay, and derail the work of special prosecutor Kenneth Starr.”
I could go on and on quoting Dick Morris, but it is better if you
read the book for yourself. Dick Morris has a website and if you have any questions or want more insight, visit:

Democracy, stages, big government, dependence, political speeches, Alexander Fraser Tytler

As you listen to the political speeches, platforms and promises of the 2008 presidential campaign, ponder the words of Alexander Fraser Tytler, a british lawyer and writer. Tytler believed that governments and democracy go through stages that last 200 years. His thoughts are rather amazing when compared to the current state of democracy in the US. I believe we are in the apathy to dependence stage. Listen to the presidential candidates speak of what you are due from government, what you are entitled to. Is this what you really want, dependence?

A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.
The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

  • From bondage to spiritual faith;
  • From spiritual faith to great courage;
  • From courage to liberty;
  • From liberty to abundance;
  • From abundance to complacency;
  • From complacency to apathy;
  • From apathy to dependence;
  • From dependence back into bondage.

Federal income tax, Clinton versus Bush comparison

Once again, the nice lady from the west coast has delivered an interesting email. Think the democrats are watching out for the little guy? Think George Bush and the republicans are just trying to help the wealthy? Read the following:

After watching a focus group of democrats that watched the democratic debate the other day in Vegas, ….  for the most part, all of them bashed Bush over and over again on how he is out for his millionaire friends and the big oil companies and he has totally forgotten or disregarded the little guy.  So, an ex-IRS employee decided to look back on the tax tables to see if there is any truth to what they said and the media keeps stating as fact, “Bush is only out for the rich in this country.”

Based on using the actual tax tables (see link below), here are some examples on what the taxes were/are on various amounts of income for both singles and married couples. so let’s see if the Bush tax cuts only helped the rich.
Taxes under Clinton 1999                                     Taxes under Bush 2008
Single making 30K – tax $8,400                           Single making 30K – tax $4,500
Single making 50K – tax $14,000                         Single making 50K – tax $12,500
Single making 75K – tax $23,250                          Single making 75K – tax $18,750
Married making 60K – tax $16,800                     Married making 60K – tax $9,000
Married making 75K – tax $21,000                     Married making 75K – tax $18,750
Married making 125K – tax $38,750                 Married making 125K – tax $31,250
If you want to know just how effective the mainstream media is, it is amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever.  If any democrat is elected, ALL of them say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can’t wait for it to happen.  This is like the movie ‘The Sting’ with Paul Newman, you scam somebody out of some money and they don’t even know what happened.  Now this is effective (maybe not honest) marketing or maybe a better word is brain washing.
