Scott Brown MA senate race, Massachusetts Senate Mystery: Scott Brown vs. Martha Coakley, WSJ, Boston Globe poll, Ted Kennedy’s senate seat, likely voters, race is closing, Wall Street Journal January 11, 2010

“Massachusetts Senate Mystery: Scott Brown vs. Martha Coakley – WSJ.com”

“Turnout for special elections is notoriously hard to predict, especially for a Massachusetts race in the dead of winter. ”

“People trying to follow the suddenly hot Massachusetts race to fill the late Ted Kennedy’s senate seat can be excused if they’re getting poll whiplash. On Saturday, the Democratic polling firm Public Policy Polling announced a startling survey of 744 likely voters that found Republican Scott Brown taking a 48% to 47% lead over Democrat Martha Coakley. “The Massachusetts Senate race is shaping up as a potential disaster for Democrats,” said Dean Debnam, president of PPP.

The next day, the Boston Globe displayed its own poll of 554 people, showing Ms. Coakley with a comfortable 15-point lead. “If there was ever a time for a Republican to win here, now is the time,” Andrew Smith, the director of the polling firm used by the Globe, reported. “The problem is you’ve got a special election and a relatively unknown Republican going up against a well-liked Democrat.””

“No one knows exactly who will turn out on January 19. But the evidence suggests the race is closing. In three polls taken before the December primary that made Ms. Coakley her party’s nominee, she had an average 29-point lead over Mr. Brown. In three surveys taken over the last ten days or so, her lead has shrunk to an average of eight points. Ms. Coakley is ahead, but Mr. Brown is making a late surge. He can only hope it isn’t stopped because previously apathetic Democrats respond to the polls by deciding to drag themselves out to vote.”

Petition to recall LA Senator Mary Landrieu has begun!!

The Secretary of State has accepted the filing
    ———————————
There has been another ruling that says in La. There is not a method for removal of federal elected officals and the petition has been stopped. I don’t remember the website where I saw it, it was a La. website.

Hannity just had the authors of that book “Game Change” on his radio show…..some interesting information they reveal about the Edwards campaign…..things Biden said about the FRAUD and most damaging….that Slick Willy was having a long standing affair with a woman during Hillary’s run for POTUS….they know who the woman is but did not reveal the name on the show. They are both on the Hannity TV show tonight…..I hope to read the book…..it is already # 4 on the best sellers!!!

    ****************************************

Yes…I thought about that too….also they were telling how Biden and the FRAUD really didn’t like each other and some story how the FRAUD came to the realization that he needed someone like Biden with experience…..what a joke….he had to hire Biden for payback for his son Bo keeping the Larry Sinclair story under wraps…..unbelievable they didn’t find out that story…..Larry should contact them both and tell them the true story as to why the FRAUD hired Biden!!!

  18. Jacqlyn Smith @ 4:37 pm
Jacqlyn really these “reporters” missed the most important detail ELIGIBILITY, all of Obama’s mob connections, fraud as a community organizer 20 years on the South Side of Chicago (got a bazillion times worse under Obama and Jarrett), Saudi and other miscreants these gossip columnists sure missed a lot. Like anything important Constitutionally and criminally.

  19. kittycat-in case you didn’t see anything on the news re: the earthquake damage-not too good, not too bad. I think if I were in CA I would leave the wine in the boxes rather than clean up the mess that you will see in the pictures.

  21. L J and Joy: Glad you liked it. Thanks for your kind words.

  22. I see The Boston Globe supports Martha C. and goes one step forward to lie just like her and say she is ahead by over 15%. Being an independant I’m glad I don’t simply back what party I’m for like the Globe did, does and always has. Hopefully some day both the Globe and Martha will be yesterdays news and gone. I’m so sick of the power-trip they try to pull on people. I’m voting for Scott Brown just like everyone else I know.

  23. THIS IS ABOUT AS CRITICAL AS A VOTE CAN GET, VOTE FOR SCOTT BROWN OR VOTE FOR A DEFECIT YOUR CHILDREN WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH.
