All you need to know about health care reform
What is the current attempt by Obama and liberal Democrats at health care reform all about?
- Appeasing their far left core support.
- More control over the American people to get votes.
- Payback to trial lawyers and other big supporters (refer to contribution table above).
- Achieving the goals of far left, socialist, communists who are controlling the party with the goal of redistribution of wealth..
Why do a high percentage of attorneys support the Democrat party? The Democrat party supports big government and that means more work for attorneys. Have you ever noticed the multitude of attorney ads on TV for representation with Social Security matters?
What will it take to really fix health care?
- Tort reform. This has to do with medical malpractice lawsuits and insurance and the cost of litigation for doctors, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies. Trial lawyers such as John Edwards have become wealthy at the expense of the American Public. Obama and the Democratic party are controlled by their high contributor law buddies.
- Open up health care policies across state boundaries. This is the only area the federal government should control, to allow a basic health care policy to be sold nationwide. If the states want to supplement this, the additional coverage can be taylored by state.
- Health care policy portability. This would allow keeping the same policy when changing jobs.
- Provide a basic safety net policy for those currently uninsured who cannot afford insurance now. Adding these people to Medicare is one proposal.

I can vouch for Mcconnell…… he opposes any attempt to create a government-run health plan…..from his letter:
1)Americans want reform
2)the ‘public plan option’ would eventually become the only option
3)private companies can’t compete with the government
4)government option would be run with taxpayer’s money
5)government plan would dictate prices to doctors
6)coverage for millions would be undercut
7)experts have estimated that 119 million Americans will lose their current insurance and end up with the governmment-run plan
Congress should take these steps to lower health care costs:
1)insurers and employers should expand prevention and wellness programs
2)it should be easier for businesses to purchase coverage for their employees
3)tort reform, or reform medical liability lawsuit abuse..(I guess he thought I didn’t know what tort reform was??)

Well this happens all the time here. For instance, Val, who posted above you at 7.46 quotes a newspaper article which quotes the words of the Australian Prime Mininster, reported in a newspaper or official online news service report, and then passed aroudn the internet. I’m guessing John Howard has no control over wherever what he said ends up, but the Proffessional Journalist could well be narked that he isn’t getting paid for Val quoting him.
I would *never* quote someone, without acknowledging where the source came from.
You can ‘quote’ a few lines, supply a link to the ORIGINAL source, acknowledging their ‘ownership, and that covers most if not all ‘copyright’ situations. You can the paraphrase the rest of the article, but be sure to get it right.
(JBJD may know the number of words or lines deemed acceptable…for her own work I believe it is ‘none’ but generally, my definition is acceptable. JBJD has very specific reasons for NOT wanting her work to be quoted without permission)

All-re: apple cider vinegar. On the rare occasion that I get a sore throat I swallow a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, if it really hurts two. It burns but after a minute it doesn’t hurt anymore. Killed those mean little germs. I know some people gargle, I’m not that coordinated I’d probably choke, so that’s easier for me. You could do it with a glass of ice cold water as a chaser. And I like the elderberry liquid, to relax you and put you to sleep. The old rest get plenty of liquids etc. I do this because I HATE needles.

No, no…you didn’t step on my toes, BUT there is a chance you (in legal/copyright terms) stepped on the toes (or rather, infringed the copyright) of the journalist who filed that report, *even though* John Howard’s comments went around the world within days!
Some journalists get narked if they see their work (even if it’s only 40 odd words at the start of a John Howard interview/press conference) posted without attribution.
To stay safe from people getting ‘narked’, we should always post a link from the original source. Even if your friend who sent you the email didn’t send the link (which is fine, as it’s private), you can just use google to search for the original article for yourself.
All I meant to say was that really, it’s best to provide a link to the source of the comments you have quoted, I was’t getting at you at all. I used your post as an example of the kind of thing many of us do.

Actually I think Joy was the fairest with Orly so far. She did not attack Orly, she gave her a chance to speak, interrupted occasionally as all women do when they are speaking, she said she would check into the facts that Orly presented, etc… I think they did pretty well together. Better than I expected. Much better than MSNBC and others.
I would suggest we all email Joy and ask her to do the research she said she would and then have Orly back on with a follow up.
This is in no way a plug for Joy. I haven’t watched the View in a very, very long time and Joy is one of the reasons why. I still won’t watch the View, but I would consider an email to Joy asking her to follow up on this very important matter.
Orly was charming! She got out so much information, and she was easy to understand this was her best yet interview on TV. There will be a lot of people thinking. Thank you Lord!

Back in the day, I assessed hazardous waste sites for the EPA’s Superfund program (which probably explains why I’m this way).
I can tell you that every military base (both in operation and abandoned) was loaded with buried and surface hazardous waste-the nasty stuff. I remember one site that created its own toxic ‘lagoons’ and just dumped everything under the sun ‘out back.’ It looked like the surface of the Moon.
Nope, doesn’t surprise me at all. I’m sorry for the service people who have to deal with this.

WEST PALM BEACH – The state’s case against two young men charged in the savage attack on a mother and son in Dunbar Village is nearly done.
Prosecutors told the judge late Wednesday that they will rest after a police detective finishes his testimony Thursday. Defense lawyers for Tommy Poindexter, 20, and Nathan Walker Jr., 18, gave no indication to Judge Krista Marx whether or not they will call defense witnesses.
The announcement came on the day the 37-year-old victim testified about the attack.
The woman, flatly, as if in a state of shock, recounted the sexual acts committed upon her. She asked for several breaks, sipping water.
“Some have sex twice, some have sex with me three times,” she said in Creole-accented English. “I was crying and praying at the same time.” In fear for her son’s life, she submitted.
Dressed in a white lace dress — like one you might wear to church or a wedding — she answered questions in a monotone voice, that shook at times and fell to a whisper once, when asked about being forced at gunpoint to have sex with her son.
“He didn’t want me to. He was crying,” she said.
“You did do it?” prosecutor Aleathea McRoberts asked.
“Yes,” she whispered.
She said the ordeal started on the night of June 18, 2007, when three men appeared at the door with guns and forced themselves inside, demanding money. The crowd of attackers grew up to 10, she said.
She recounted the nail polish remover and vinegar poured on and inside her, as they attempted to destroy the evidence on her, and one of the attackers then suggested they set her on fire.
“They keep me asking me for a lighter,” she said, adding she falsely claimed she did not have one. “They didn’t see it. Thanks God.”
She was not able to identify the attackers, as they wore masks.
The woman’s version of the sexual acts jibed with testimony given Tuesday by co-defendant Avion Lawson, 16, who has pleaded guilty and testified against Poindexter and Walker.
But it varied in one critical point. Lawson depicted Poindexter as the leader of the group who held an assault rifle, did most of the yelling, and laughed.
“All of them were laughing,” she said.
Poindexter’s defense attorney, Carey Haughwout, questioned her about the height of the attacker who held the assault rifle. The woman described herself as 5-foot-8 and the man being shorter than her.
Poindexter, according to his driver’s license record, is 6 feet tall.
Also Wednesday, a fingerprint examiner, Jack McCall, of the West Palm Beach Police Department, testified that multiple prints of Walker were found at the scene.
West Palm Beach Police Detective Dave Lefont continues his testimony Thursday, with jurors likely to hear the confession he elicited from Poindexter.
In it, Poindexter blames Jakaris Taylor, 17 — the fourth young man charged — for much of what happened.

That person then decides to run for Governor, Senator, Congressman, in their own district.
They win the election, and begin to inform more of their constituents about the IRS, and the Federal Reserve Bankers.
Citizens start to revolt, and viola! The Fed is abolished, and we’ve returned to a Constitutional Republic.
And it all started with a simple blog post.

Kim, a friend of mine on another forum has been a general practitioner (physician) for 30 years. She recommends vitamin D 5000 units a day and have your blood levels checked in a month and the range should be about 85 to 105 iu per /ml. She says that she has seen every case of “flu” resolved with this and good nutrition. IMO high quality probiotics can also help, although it takes several days for them to really work. Elderberry extract (Sambucol) should also help, if you can go out and get some.

I’m listening to Congresswoman Michele Bachmann right now on Glenn Beck’s radio show. She says that the defunding of ACORN only lasts through the end of this month (October 31st). After that, they get funding again from the federal government.
She recommends that we call our reps. (member of Congress and both senators) every single day. Tell them that we do not want the federal government to take over our health care and ACORN needs to be defunded permanently. She says that so few people call. We needs to call and melt their phones down.
She also says that the 9/12 protest was noticed (by members of Congress) — even though they are acting like it was nothing.
She also says that Nancy Pelosi has made her (Michele Bachmann) the number one target in next year’s Congressional elections. Pelosi has been working on raising a tremendous amount of money to spend on defeating Michele.

I don’t care how we get rid of him….as long as he and everyone else involved in this cover up go away as well….like Pelosi, Biden, Clinton, Rhambo, Axelrod, Gibbs, all of them…..they all need to be in prison for misleading an entire country and getting this FRAUD in our White House……we indeed have a Constitutional Crisis and you can bet these Liberals will throw any and all under the bus to save their own hides once this FRAUD is taken down!!!

I got it…..
If you follow the link that JustMe posted and read the article, it bears out what we were talking about a few posts ago…that the gub’mint has stockpiled ‘an adjuvant.’ My guess was that it’s Squalene, and it seems that was right.
Let me just remind everyone that Squalene is NOT approved to be used in any vaccine in the U.S., so if they’re fixin’ to use it in the H1N1 vaccine, they’re breaking the law (so what else is new?).
My thinking is that they will sneak the Squalene in, because there’s not enough of the H1N1 vaccine to go around right now, and the Squalene will stretch the number of doses they can get out of a batch.
Let me see if I can find out what’s shakin’ with this .

My idea was to overlay the 9-12 poem on a panoramic photo of the march- or to paint the scene from someone’s photo (although all the people would be a huge task to take on). I believe Judge Carter should be the one praised, if he does indeed allow this case to go to trail.
What did Orly do ? The actual transcript of the hearing said she pissed the judge off, would not shut up, etc. etc…….
Kreep and Taitz both came unprepared, and neither gave even a minimally acceptable presentation. Neither cited any precedent cases effectively.
If Judge Carter cornered the DOJ to prevent an appeal, he gave the win.

just noticing Patriot Dreamer’s post about Tamiflu. I’ve read/heard a number of medical professionals weigh in on using Tamiflu especially with the H1N1 virus. It actually creates an adverse effect increasing the level/intensity/longevity of symptoms of H1N1 – has to do with the Cytokine storm, I believe.
Also my understanding is Tamiflu shouldn’t be given to children period. I don’t recall the name of the ingredient at this moment, and hubby is gone, but it is a similar “makeup” as angel dust. It’s listed on the package insert. Can cause hallucinations.
Do you feel comfortable weighing in on this for folks here?

I saw things quite differently.
According to Judge Land’s Order imposing a $20,000 fine on Orly, she was sanctioned in part for arguing as ‘fact’ her own speculations. Even Stephen Colbert ridiculed her on his show for insisting, being a NBC means, both parents were U.S. citizens at the time of birth. As he pointed out, no provision of settled law or, the Constitution says so. Her appearance on that show was months ago; but she is still repeating her ‘conclusions’ on this subject, as fact.
Orly held up a pamphlet of Vattel’s “Law of Nations,” and made the statement, the founders relied on this document (for the definition of NBC). But no, they did not. At least not judging from what they wrote in the Constitution.
Until a federal appellate court rules on what is the definition of NBC, in a case on point; insisting the definition promoted by her fellow ‘birthers’ is the real definition makes her look foolish. Stephen Colbert knew this; Joy Behar knew this; and even those of us who question BO’s authenticity and have ‘outed’ ourselves as Birthers, know this.
Also, she argued with Joy about the process by which newspaper birth announcements were printed. In so doing, she credits the fact, these were printed; and no such authentication has been made. For example, what would have happened if Orly had said something like, ‘Yes, Joy, images of birth announcements have appeared throughout the internet. In fact, Annenberg Political FactCheck posted a birth announcement on its web site. But they cleverly never said what newspaper it came from; in fact, in one of those cases filed to try to establish his eligibility for office, BO and his attorneys submitted a Motion to the federal court, asking the judge to take judicial notice that APFC had posted that newspaper announcement on its web site. But guess what? BO and his lawyers never mentioned the name of the newspaper that supposedly issued that “contemporaneous” birth announcement, either. Now, I ask you; given that neither APFC nor BO mentioned the name of the newspaper they claim issued that announcement they say is evidence he was born in HI, how were you and your staff able to determine this so-called newspaper birth announcement was actually printed in the ______________?’ Then, she could have handed over a printout of the federal court docket, and the case; as well as screen shots of APFC. And she should have said, ‘Check these out at your leisure. Or access the court docket on your own, to see exactly what BO and his lawyers said.’ And she could have teased Joy. ‘You are a good supporter of the President; look how you came up with a better narrative to establish his authenticity than even he and his lawyers provided to the federal court!’
From the fluffing of the hair, on camera, to the false eyelashes, she fulfills the purpose of her appearance; that is, she looks the ‘clown’ and discredits the ‘movement’ she is credited by the press, of spearheading.
Just once, I would like her to preempt the interviewer by saying, ‘Did you see that COLB BO posted on line, on the web site he paid for, saying this would answer questions about whether he is a NBC? And he had this ‘document’ authenticated by his former employer, Annenberg? You know, the people who hired him to Chair their Chicago Annenberg Challenge? Can you imagine, based only on his posting and his employer’s authentication, he said, this proved, he was born in the U.S.A.?
Then, let Joy or anyone else even raise the ‘fact,’ APFC is “independent.”
The best comeback to any challenge will be that federal court case. ‘Okay, assume that COLB for real. Then why didn’t BO and his lawyers submit this document to the federal court instead of just talk about it? After all, they did tell the court, APFC said, it was real.’
Of course, that case, the Hollister case, was filed by Berg (based loosely on my theory that military Plaintiffs could gain standing in federal court). Could these facts explain why Orly has never used BO’s admissions in the case, to the benefit of the ‘Birther Movement’?

If this is Not settled Law? Then why did the Secretary of State in Arizona require that he sign a document stating he met the Constitutional Requirements which includes the natural born citizen requirement?
As far as i am concerned this is the legal loop that can be unraveled by requesting that the Secretary of State of Az prove just what that means, instead of citizens trying to challenge an ‘unsettled issue’.
Clarify this for me, please.

A citizen can be a rep. or a senator. only a natural born citizen can be the President… it is written that way in the constitution. Soetoro and his partners know this. it is why they tried to change the requirement in previous years.
Margie. I know this, but all this legalese about unsettled law is what I am trying to understand here. How can Natural Born Citizen be a requirement for President, when it is supposedly, unsettled law? Seems to me a Constitutional lawyer would have known this, and most probably would have seen the weakness in the requirement.
So when the Secretary of State of Az requires a signature for an issue which is “unsettled law” seems to me that it would be the requirement of the Secretary of State to define that term before using it as a requirement.

Schools are now distributing the vaccine. A clinic is scheduled here for next week. My youngest brought home a consent form yesterday. I wrote “Hell NO” all over it and will be keeping my kids home that day, just to be safe.
