CW, thank you for consolidating these links about Chicago corruption. I doubt these will lead me to sites that contain any information with which I was previously unfamiliar, having spent countless hours researching BO’s background early on in the primary season. But, gauging the recent responses of readers of this and other blogs to facts about the man that have been out there for several months, it would appear that, even relatively well-informed citizens still have a lot to learn about the corruption that is all things BO. (I suspect most of these ‘surprised’ readers are Republicans and did not follow the machinations of the Democratic primary. Those of us who did know, for example, HRC actually won the D primary – that is, she won the popular vote and amassed more pledged delegates from votes cast than BO – will never forgive BO from stealing the nomination. It only adds insult to injury that he is not a NBC.)

What the commentators were trying to say by this, is that prosecutors are NOT GOING TO ALLOW BLAGO TO ‘TALK!’ In other words, they are willing to cut his sentence to almost nothing (say 3 years instead of 15, for example), if he will plead quickly, and keep his MOUTH SHUT.

I can’t understand why they still insist on protecting the usurper when he is just as much of a criminal as Blago and Rezko, his buddies. It’s not right that they won’t allow Blago to tell the truth about zero’s involvement.

The summit ended with smiles, a lengthy communiqué and grandiose pronouncements … Gordon Brown, host of the G20 summit in London, claimed that the deal marked the emergence of a “new world order” as he announced a range of moves, including a pledge … boost to the International Monetary Fund.
Notice carefully that he claimed the “emergence”, not the “evolution” or “strengthening”. Clearly, in their own words, they believe they have made a monumental change to the world economic situation. The amount of change has yet to be totally comprehended – but you can be sure it is not good for the interests of the US. A “tip of the iceberg” synopsis follows:

“In a new development, the G20 agreed to let the IMF create $250bn of special drawing rights, its own currency, comprising dollars, euros, yen and sterling. This will boost the foreign exchange reserves of every country. Most of this cash will go to the big advanced economies, but poorer countries facing budgetary strains will gain new cash.”
This last paragraph may just fly right past you – so let me explain.
At a time when many of us are criticizing the US Federal Reserve (Fed) as being illegal, unconstitutional, and a key source of current problems – this G20 summit just created the mother of all “Feds” at the international level. The members of the IMF can deposit real national money (and gold and silver) with the IMF and the IMF will create a fiat currency based on those deposits – but expanded or inflated by, say, 100:1. This new currency is created largely out of thin air and will be managed by the IMF. They will set the price of this currency in regards all the other national currencies. All international obligations will be valued in relation to this currency. Or in the vernacular – all international bills must be paid in this currency.
For whatever reason (the paranoid would say – to more easily “put one over” on us), they failed to actually name the new currency (e.g. “Planetos”, “Worldars”, or some such), but the facts of the situation remain. There’s a new world currency and it ain’t the US Dollar.
This may be the most significant event to happen – ever – on the world stage – and we (US) just got screwed.

don’t hit me: no me pege OR no me peges …either is correct depending on whether one is using it formally or familiarly (that is casually)…though, I can’t remember which is which. They are both correct.
HOWEVER,
no me pego, ON THE OTHER HAND, means he/she didn’t hit me
Obviously, it’s really important to know exactly what was said because, as you can see, the meaning does change somewhat in these two instances.

Got it. Based on what you wrote, if I were doing an official translation, because you said it sounded like there was an “s” on the end of the word, I would have to go with:
He said, “No me peges.”
As an aside, you correctly put the tilde (accent mark) on the “o” for pego. But, DON’T use pego; because that would mean that the officer didn’t hit him. And, since you said he was getting beat up, it wouldn’t make sense for him to be yelling–he didn’t hit me, he didn’t hit me…which is what “no me pego” means. It’s key. It can
change the case.
