Statements have been made in the public domain that if Obama was not born in Hawaii but rather in Kenya, that he actually committed a crime involving fraud. That leads me to think that if that were true, then Obama has a Constitutional and state common law right to avoid further self-incrimination and to remain silent. That could explain why he has neither talked publicly nor wants to talk in any court of law about where he was born. But his right to remain silent would not extend to withholding his original Certificate of Live Birth. Disclosure of documents is not testimonial (coming from a person’s mouth) and his 5th Amendment and state common law right to remain silent and to not incriminate himself would not prevent such disclosure. This leads me to the main point.
Obama at present finds himself in a trilemma: (1) Does he state publicly that he was born in Hawaii if he knows he was not and thereby “perjure” himself in the court of public opinion should the truth be eventually discovered? If he so swore under oath before Congress or any court of law, it would be actual perjury. (2) Will he produce his original birth certificate which may show and will he tell the public the truth that he was not born in Hawaii but rather Kenya and thereby betray his natural instinct of self-preservation and his life-long ambition to be President of the United States? or (3) Does he remain silent as to where he was born and continue to refuse to release his original birth certificate and thereby earn the contempt of those in the public who believe that he has not convincingly proven that he is a “natural born Citizen” and eligible to be President? I submit that Obama has made the third choice.
The consequences for Obama are the least drastic and he gains the most benefits under the choice involving remaining silent and not producing his original birth certificate which is exactly what he has done to date. There are at least two reasons for this:
(1) To date, no court of law has been willing to accept any case challenging his “natural born Citizen” status. The courts have dismissed law suits against him for reasons of jurisdiction, standing, political question, justiciability, and for reasons unknown. These procedural obstacles have allowed him to escape having to defend the underlying merits of the claims against him which would necessarily involve his having to make declarations under oath as part of legal discovery and before the court itself in case of a trial. He will simply continue to pursue this procedural strategy, for being so successful will allow him to maintain his silence and not produce his original birth certificate with the cost to him personally of only having to pay his team of lawyers. This strategy explains why he is willing to spend enormous amounts of his own money and resources for his legal defense (maybe not even his own money if he can make a case that he can use his campaign contributions to meet the costs involved) and cause private individual plaintiffs and public institutions (courts and public entity defendants) to spend theirs with no end in sight. This strategy also provides great impetus to the sales of his past and future books, thereby further filling up his coffers. This strategy also explains why he is not willing to simply spend less than $100.00 and produce his original birth certificate for the benefit of those Americans who want to see it. Lastly, this strategy provides an answer to the question of, assuming that Obama in the end simply produces his original birth certificate which shows he was born in Hawaii, why would Obama risk the public then perceiving him as one who played a dirty little game for the sake of aggrandizing his own image and increasing his profits.
(2) Obama wants (i) people who simply voted for him, (ii) people who are apathetic to the eligibility issue or because of ignorance, fear, or self-ambition refuse to address it; and (iii) people who in good faith believe he is eligible to be President (these categories may overlap), to believe that all the lawsuits and internet chatter questioning his eligibility to be President is political sour grapes, racism, or “tinfoil hat” conspiracy nonsense. These “explanations” for this outcry against him provide great camouflage for his silence and refusal to release his original birth certificate. This strategy limits any contempt backlash to only those who oppose him on the eligibility issue and to no one else, thereby greatly reducing the price associated with the public contempt component.
The benefits Obama gains from stonewalling compared to the price he has to pay for complete disclosure makes the choice to refuse to speak about where he was born and to produce his original birth certificate most attractive for Obama. The stakes are high in this game for the Office of President. Obama has shown that he has the arrogance and audacity to play the game any which way he wants simply to win that Office and greatly profit thereby. The question for many concerned Americans who doubt whether he is eligible to be President is what they can do to get the nation’s political, legal, and social institutions to adequately and honestly investigate and decide whether he is indeed qualified to be President. Obama’s strategy is now preventing these Americans from learning the truth about whether he is eligible to be President. The ball is in the court of those who challenge Him.

GAME – SET – MATCH ???
You lawyers out there need to provide a full explanation, but here is the gist of the story:
Many of us have been frustrated by the fact that Obama will not be disqualified for not being a Natural Born Citizen (he most definitely is not). But this is a rather special legal term that essentially nobody understands. Many people might think of this as capital punishment for someone going 36 in a 35 speed zone. But for those of us who know that Obama is not a US citizen – surely that is the “atomic bomb” that will catch everybody’s attention and get him tossed in with OJ Simpson where he belongs.
But – maybe not – – –
Last May, Obama was unexpectedly and mysteriously adopted by a Native American family. The best anyone could figure at the time, it was just a quirky ceremonial way to extend his base of special interest groups. But why all the bizarreness for a few Indians – surely they have no substantive effect on the election.
But now we learn that Native Americans are given a great deal of leeway in such practices and that any Native American (including adoptees) becomes quickly and automatically a US citizen. Just present some tribal papers at a local courthouse and – VIOLA! – no green cards, no waiting periods, no tests, no oaths of allegiance, nothing. Instant citizenship.
Obama’s Native American parents had a VIP pass to the inauguration. His daughters have been quietly getting to know them over the summer and have been calling them Grandpa and Grandma for months.

So lets say he is exposed. Why not charge him with death or personal injury to servicemen under his command or victims of abortions which might be performed by illegitimate passage of FOCA. Serious stuff!

It is the ‘natural-born Citizens’ who establish the government — not vice versa — so they are the principals who can change the government at will. From this vast pool of undivided loyalties, we elect our President — and from nowhere else.
The only other time the ‘natural -born Citizen’ phrase in the ‘Presidential Qualification Clause’ was used other than for eligibility for President, was when it was used as the key to emancipating the slaves by means of the 13th Amendment.
Lincoln’s first appointee to the Supreme Court decided that the freed slaves were ‘natural-born Citizens’, and so the “Civil Rights Act of 1866” conferred upon ‘free blacks’ the same rights enjoyed by ‘free whites.’
Thus, the ‘natural-born Citizen’ clause is one of the most important in the history of this Nation, and it is being misused right now — and it has been called by some the most discriminatory clause in the entire U.S. Constitution.
Such comments only disclose ignorance of American constitutional history.
Someone please find me a pre-2008 reference that claims that “natural born” means “having two US citizens for parents”.

However, my angle is this…where are the allegations that natural born implies that both parents are citizens written before this issues with Obama came to be? Disaster Uranium: Democratic Presidential Candidates Backed by Nuclear Powerhouses

While Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama continue to spar for the Democratic Party presidential nomination, a hidden conflict over uranium mining and radioactive waste dumping is simmering, pitting the two candidates, other prominent politicians and Wall Street financiers against many indigenous and non-native American communities.
Tens of thousands of people across the continental United States and in Hawai’i still suffer the effects of previous uranium mining booms during the 1940s and the Cold War, and fears are growing over how a nuclear power renaissance will impact tribal lands.
Tiokasin Ghosthorse, a member of the Lakota Nation, explains, “In western South Dakota, there is an unspoken nuclear Chernobyl. There are days when the sky is brown from the dust of uranium mining tailings in the air. This is cattle and wheat country. When the dust settles, no one knows they are being radiated.”
Ghosthorse, also the host of “First Voices Indigenous Radio” on New York’s WBAI, speaks in a firm voice when he discusses the impact of uranium mining on his home in Cheyenne River Indian Reservation. “A few years, there were only 19 of us left from my 1973 high school graduating class of 70 or 80 people. Nine out of 10 of them had died of cancer.”
To bring attention to the environmental threats and the destruction of sacred sites, hundreds of Native Americans and supporters began trekking from San Francisco to Washington, D.C., on Feb. 11. The five-month walk commemorates the 1978 Longest Walk that led to the defeat of 11 anti-Native American bills in Congress and passage of the American Indian Religious Freedom Act.
“The Walk is a call of action to the people to wake up and realize that the continued exploitation of Mother Earth cannot go on,” said Ricardo Tapia, a national coordinator of the Longest Walk 2. “This walk is for people of all colors. We are concerned about the trees, water and the sprit of the land. These things are alive. To most non-Indians, these are just seen as resources.”
‘ The New York Times recently noted that in the case of New Mexico, where the nuclear power industry is seeking to restart uranium mining near a Dine (Navajo) reservation, “mining companies walked away from their cleanup responsibilities” of a thousand open mines after the Cold War ended. The Times stated “among the horrors” that resulted were “shifting mountains of uranium tailings; open mines leaching contaminated rain into drinking water tables; wind-blown radioactive dust; home construction from uranium mine slabs; and even the grim spectacle of children playing in radioactive swimming holes and ground pits.”
NUCLEAR ENERGY BACK ON THE TABLE
Like many other commodities, from gold to oil to wheat, uranium’s price has risen because of speculation. As of 2003, processed uranium ore, known as yellowcake, was trading for $7 a pound. Last year, it hit $138. The dwindling of Cold War-era uranium supplies combined with anticipation that industrializing economies in China, India and Russia would turn to nuclear power, led hedge funds and other big investors to drive up the price of yellowcake and the stocks of uranium mining companies. It’s this paper wealth that has stoked mining interests around the world.
The Las Vegas Sun noted on Feb. 10, “More than 1,000 new uranium mining claims have been staked on federal lands near the Grand Canyon during the past three years because of rising uranium prices.” According to the U.S. Department of Energy, uranium exploration and development drilling totaled 5,000 holes covering 2.7 million feet in 2006. It is estimated that at least 50 percent of uranium deposits are located on Native-owned lands.
But to realize these vast profits, the uranium mining industry needs various governments to approve new mining operations and to revive the controversial and dangerous nuclear power industry. In Virginia, for example, which has a moratorium on uranium mining; the state Senate approved a bill commissioning a “study” on Feb. 13 to determine if it is safe to mine a site that contains the “largest unmined uranium deposit in the United States, worth an estimated $10 billion.”
While the Bush administration is pushing for nuclear power’s revival, its future is not just in the hands of Republicans.
Claiming the United States cannot meet its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions if nuclear power is not an option, Obama wants to spend $150 billion over the next 10 years to develop new “climate-friendly” energy sources. Clinton says the issue of nuclear waste storage can be overcome by American technological innovation.
The major political factor driving nuclear power’s revival is global warming. “What the industry’s public relations are trying to do is find a bigger boogie man that is greater risk than building nuclear reactors,” said Jim Riccio, the nuclear policy analyst for Greenpeace. “If you are afraid of nuclear power, you need to come up with an alternative that is more frightening. That is where the industry has latched itself to the climate change debate, and it is trying to sell themselves as a solution.”
THE DEMOCRATS DIRTY SECRET
The nuclear industry has helped bankroll the presidential campaigns of both Senators Obama and Clinton. Executives and employees of the Illinois-based Exelon have given Obama at least $221,517 – making Exelon Obama’s eighth largest contributor. Obama’s chief political strategist, David Axelrod, has also served as a consultant to Exelon.
NRG Energy is betting on Clinton. In September, NRG filed an application with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to open the first U.S. nuclear plan in more than 30 years. NRG Energy has given Clinton nearly $80,000 in campaign contributions. The company’s president and CEO, David Crane, is a ‘Hillraiser’ a Clinton backer who has raised at least $100,000. NRG Energy has also given $175 to The Clinton Global Initiative run by former President Bill Clinton.
A NEW AGE OF COLONALISM
Left unsaid on the campaign trail is the tragic fallout. Uranium exploration and mining, nuclear testing and radioactive waste dumping began more than 60 years ago, largely on lands that Southwestern Native Americans were forced onto generations earlier. Not only did Native communities receive little in the way of royalties for the uranium extracted from their lands, health and safety precautions were essentially non-existent.
As with people in South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana, Dine and Hopi communities in the Four Corner region (Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico) have suffered greatly from environmental contamination and widespread illness. These areas were deemed “National Sacrifice Areas” by the U.S. government lands determined “uninhabitable” due to the planned depletion of water resources by industry and widespread radioactive contamination.
For the Native communities who are all too familiar with the dangerous consequences of being the nation that possesses thousands of nuclear weapons and relies on nearly 20 percent of its power from nuclear generation, this is a cry for environmental justice. And the Democratic leadership does not seem to care.
“Not one of the presidential candidates has an energy policy that excludes exploitation of indigenous lands,” said Klee Benally, founder of Indigenous Action Media and a volunteer with the Save the Peaks Coalition.
Ghosthorse agrees. “Hillary and Obama are not going to do anything about this. It is not who we elect, it is the system.” While the presidential primaries continue to hypnotize the nation, the Native American resistance walks on.
“Politicians do not have the answers and we cannot rely on them to provide the answers in the context of a system that is built on the exploitation of our lands,” Benally said. “We do not just need political action, we need direct action in our communities because behind every environmental crisis is a social crisis.”
“This is the low-intensity warfare against Native people all of the time,” Ghosthorse said.

Otis – You really have to go back to the intent of the Framers to understand the idea behind Natural Born as opposed to just a citizen.
Even though they themselves where citizens, they knew that because their parents were foreign born and had foreign allegiances that they themselves were not eligible. So they wrote the grandfather clause which made them eligible. At that time, being a young country , it was important to keep foreign influences out of the Presidency.
The best way to describe what their concerns were is to put it this way. If the King and Queen of England were in the US on vacation and the queen were to give birth, then their child would be a US citizen by all definition. Now that child could go back to England and be raised British until he was 18 and then return here to maintain his US citizenship. Then the Prince could eventually run for President. If he won then we would have a President who was also a British heir to the throne. It’s a Stretch I know but that was the main reason for the Natural Born Citizen clause. To prevent a President from having dual loyalties. Which is what we have right now.
Right now Obama is subject to blackmail. What happens if his Kenyan family is Kidnapped? What will he do? That’s just part of all of the troubles that will most likely rise out of this fraud.

There was consistency in the discussion until out of the blue the matter of American citizenship as it applies to the presidency came up. It felt very much like a planted question.
I took notes so this is more or less what Bill said:

In light of the number of immigrants now residing in the U.S., it might be necessary to let someone who for example “who is 45 years old and who has resided 35 to 40 years, be allowed to govern”.
He went on further to say that the Constitution will be amended.
This is Bill Clinton warning those abroad (but not yet his own people) what is coming. It is an implicit acknowledgement of the current situation (and we all know they all know), but it also reveals what the game plan is.
This is what Americans are facing and one way or another this matter of “natural born citizen” needs to be resolved. They know Obama is not, but are already putting in place legal changes. The onlyquestion now is how will Americans deal with this.

This is a dire situation posted on Plains:
Closing of GITMO – Where Will All the Combatants Go?
This is a question everyone should be demanding of this new “administration”.
Based on what we’ve been told these possible terrorists in detention at the GITMO facility will most likely be absorbed into the U.S. Judicial System. There would be no other reason to ship these known combatants into the country.
What next? Bail? Safe harbor?
That being said, imagine the implications:
1. Known terrorist never steps foot on U.S. Soil.
2. U.S. Military captures terrorist for trial.
3. Terrorist gets “imported” into the U.S.
4. Technicality allows terrorist to be set free to roam about (i.e. bail, being granted citizen rights as a foreigner, etc.)
5. Terrorist now disappears into the U.S. with no passport, no papers, no point of entry, and not one single tracing mechanism.
What do people on here think about this possible, but most likely, scenario? Are we getting a little more concerned now?
I know I am. It could be construed as treason. “Inviting” known enemies of the U.S. into the country for trial is like asking Bin Laden over for dinner.

It is the only time the term “Natural Born Citizen” is used in the Constitution.
The concept goes back many years before the Constitution was ratified, and can be found in the “Law of Nations”. Our Founders were well-acquainted with “The Law of Nations”.
It has been defined in federal caselaw many times, as well as by the writers and promoters of the 14th Amendment which defines requirements for “Citizens” and “Naturalized Citizens”, and importantly, makes no mention of “Natural Born Citizens”, thus leaving the original Constitutional definition of “Natural Born Citizen” intact.

I want to question which came first his registration for candidacy for President or his alleged adoption by the Redskins. The timing might be a consideration to explore. Might want to take a look at older treaties that are still in force. If his candidacy was first then it would seem that by law he would have to adhere to everything as it was when he registered. The adoption could be ruled as moot given this precedent.

In thinking about the alleged adoption it seems to me that if the adoption occurred after his formal registration ,and Obama had already campaigned in several states, the adoption could be viewed as a campaign strategy, (tool). Under such circumstances it would seem that given the office being sought,would be contrary to the Constitution. The Constitution is the only acceptable bluprint for a Presidential candidate. To further clarify my point, he cannot legally change his citizenship status either as a candidate ,or after becoming sworn in as POTUS.

1. I would think that it would be the most feasible to either build a special prison on Catalina Island in CA 2. Re-hab Alcatraz 3. Rehab Leavenworth I doubt that Leavenworth is set up to hold enemy combatants. It seems that they would be best accomodated at the Hague holding facilities. At least they would not be on our soil. I personally think that it was a serious mistake to allow enemy combatants to have US civil rights. The Geneva Conference spelled out all of this years ago, and I find myself really angered whenever I think about the US “do gooders” who think that up is down and black is white. You bet phones and emails can be “intercepted”. However, we have some things we can do with email, such as encryption. There are some military encryption schemas that will knock your socks off.

The Supreme Court is not about justice, up holding and protecting the Constitution, or anything else that looks like American citizens’ rights are to be protected. The Supreme Court is about covering up, convoluting its articles, and making the innocenct look guilty. Not one–not one case filed against Obama will ever bear fruition. Just because some of the lawyers have worked very hard on the cases concerning BO’s Constitutional eligibility for POTUS does not mean those cases were well plead. Most of these cases were based on mandamus, a legal cause of action allowing petitioners to ask the Court – the judicial branch of government – to order state officials – the executive branch of government – to carry out a ministerial duty, that is, a duty spelled out in the law. But as I have stated for months, ad nauseum, no provision of any state or federal law requires any government official to vet the major political party candidate for POTUS as to Constitutional eligibility. So all of those cases that were denied at the lower court level were decided correctly. And all of the last-minute ‘hail Mary’ filings could not cure their infirmities. Direct your ire at the well-intentioned lawyers who bring these procedurally faulty cases and then incite the public – you – when they fail (‘We have no standing; we are like slaves!’).

Where were the cases you claim were granted cert published? There is no such order on the SCOTUS site.
The only mention of anything happening today was on the SCOTUS blog, and that came at 1:30pm and not “late this afternoon.” That related to one case and not “cases.”
Does your husband, and more importantly, Justice Scalia, know you are blogging this information? If you really are who you claim, I would think you would not refer to your husband’s honorable boss as “Scalia.”

Personally, how can there not be one good judge anywhere? I’m with you, and there as to be at least one, yet there’s probably more. How do we find them? I want to say Texas where I live, because there’s lots and lots of judges and some may be frowning upon BO not proving himself.
So, how do we find out the judges? Do we depend on asking attorneys? There must be some answer and if there’s a judge in a large town or a small town that frowns upon BO, then we MUST seek that place.

I have been wondering if everyone in the United States refused to pay anymore income tax until Obama posted a certified copy of his vault COLB. I would think that there would not be jails enough to hold everyone. In addition it would probably break the Federal Government(If that is what we are still required to call it).What a shame;all of Obama’s “good intentions” right out the window. All the people who were expecting a complete living for free would have to go to work. Boy what a mess refusing to pay taxes would create. Withholding income tax is a good idea. I have read that the bill was never ratified so it isn’t legal anyway. Plus it doesn’t go to help our country, it goes right to the banksters to pay the interest so they can issue us debt notes-our “money” isn’t backed by anything. Our country was always supposed to make its own money. The federal reserve and the government are wringing us dry so we’ll be so poor we have to accept the NWO.

Then we all stop purchasing stuff. Only buy absolute essentials. No clothes, toys, candy, cars, jewelry, presents, etc… All companies would start going bankrupt, especially those already in bad shape, which is most.
This would drive the USA into a great depression from which 0bama would be helpless to do anything about. It would absolutely destroy his presidency.
Then we let it be known we will reverse it only when he admits he is not NBC and new elections are scheduled.

Citizen Wells, what are the specific laws and or rules to make a change in Constitutional Law or rule? Can Congress do this in secret or does any possible change’ s have to be made public before it’s changed? I wonder about this as the cases get stronger and also include our military, it’s possible Congress will try to change it to protect their own A-s. I deeply feel one of the Law suits are going to succeed. I ask this because of the statements Bill Clinton made pertaining to changes would be made to the Constitution.

i believe not paying taxes , to the count of millions of us, will send a much stronger message to the feds and congress. They can’t come after a million people, and it cuts off their revenue stream and stream of income. This applies to businesses too, to stop paying employee federal taxes,etc.

How can we get the NBC discussion finished and actually find an answer to the question? Can we leave O out of the discussion and just try to get our best and brightest pinned down to define it in such a way that even elementary school children can understand?
Can we write and ask every official we can find what it takes to be a NBC? Why must we sue to get a definition of something that is in our Constitution? This should be basic and defined. We should all be in agreement. Everyone should be able to understand without looking at case law or US Codes. The founders understood without existing case law, codes, or additions to the Constitution.
Has Mike Ritze in the new Oklahoma proof of citizenship bill written in a definition of NBC?
How can someone in a SOS office , in Oklahoma, or anywhere declare someone a NBC if we do not have a definition that is clearly known and agreed upon?
As Americans we should demand to have this issued clearly defined for us and applied equally.
Most people on all these blogs are waiting for someone of authority to define the term of NBC. What are we waiting for? I have no authority but am feeling foxy today so I will declare a definition.
To be a NBC one must be born on US soil and have both parents be US Citizens. Blood and Dirt. All other combinations are suspect and can only be Citizens. I am not a lawyer and I should not have to be one to know the definition of NBC. Blood and dirt. It is short and sweet, simple and easy.
Am I wrong? Tell me why? Can’t we get the SCOTUS to impart their knowledge on what are the qualifications needed to be a NBC without a court case? Do the SCOTUS judges speak and answer questions from citizens without lawsuits? On an issue so fundamental why are they silent?

based on rachel’s comment, i guess the next step would be to sue the SC itself, just like the SOS, they swore an oath (correct me if i am wrong) to uphold the constitution. What is THEIR evidence that OBAMA is eligible?
also, they should be questioned in regard to meeting with a plaintiff behind closed doors in a pending case. I believe that the BERG case is the only case which specifically lists OBAMA as defendant, again unless i am mistaken, and all the other cases list state SOS’s as defendants. So unless the BERG case was dismissed, it is highly unusual for a judge, or judges, to meet behind closed doors. At least one judge, ALito, seems to realize the inpropriety of this.

I don’t agree. All of our taxes barely pay the interest on the national debt. Cutting that off only means the treasury will issue more notes and the Fed will print more funny money.
There is a movement that claims you can sucessfully evade taxes and not get in trouble. If someone would research that and find out if it is for real, I would be happy to not pay taxes. I just don’t think it would be effctive.
But why not try it and see, if we only knew how.

the whole tax issue, is to offer a defense to get to the bottom of the eligibilty issue…not get the US further in debt. I was responding to the OP who wanted to take our money of the bank. You rightly pointed out the difference. Let me repeat it, taking money out of the banking system does nothing to further expose OBAMA’s eligibility issue.
I agree with you on that one. however, it would provide a good defense to subpeona all of OBama’s records if you make a case that he, as head of the treasury, with his new executive orders to sponser abortion and other things specifically againts one’s religion, is a violation of religious rights and furthermore he doesn’t have the executive power to make an order because he’s illegit. So in defense of the latter, you would ask for his records. But alas, we already know he’s not natural born because he has basically admitted that his father is not a US citizen. But all efforts to bring forth this information to the voting public was muted.

I say it’s the latter, OBAma had lawsuits against him during the campaign, and he refused to address the issue.

I agree we need to start rallies in states. However, the Democratically controlled states like California and NY will not hear it. The focus should be in the Southern and western states (e.g. Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Nebraska, Kansas, Texas (wah? we neva heard of dis issua befoe ! According to Orly!!…sorry, I tawk funny like Bush. Ugh! I hate people like that. And you know I personally heard people say things like that. yes!), Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina. Those are the states , and few others I left out which IMHO should pass eligibilty legislation. Oh yeah, Oklahoma and Tennesee.

It will work and it is working. This is part of the strategy of passive, legal resistance that we began following when it became apparent back in Oct that the MSM was going to anoint Obama, and no court was going to assist the citizens of this great nation to find the truth.
You must remember that the banks are highly leveraged because of the fractal banking system they operate under. It is really nothing more than a giant Ponzi scheme. For every $1.00 that a bank has on deposit, they then “lend” 90 cents, allegedly keeping 10 cents “in reserve”. So, you borrow the 90 cents and deposit it into the bank. They then lend 90% of the borrowed 90 cents you deposited…and so on.
It doesn’t take much for the house of cards they have built to come crashing down.
The government doesn’t rely on the collection of income taxes anyways. It has openly admitted the only reason to collect income tax is for social policy — ie: to bend us to their will. That’s it. The real source of revenue is the interest on debt and the devaluation of the dollar (inflation) a hidden and far more dangerous tax. Were you aware that during the campaign, the “economic crisis” was used as a ploy to devalue the dollar by increasing the money supply by 70%?
A good primer for some of this is Griffin’s book,
The Creature from Jekyll Island, a Second Look at the Federal Reserve. Some good videos can be found on Youtube by Peter Schiff, an economist who is Ron Paul’s economic advisor, and Prof Badarnik (sp?).
The first strategy is to take your money out of the big banks that participate in the Federal Reserve System. You can join a credit union, or start one yourself in your community (just contact the NCUA people in DC). Money deposited into credit unions is not part of the Fed Reserve system, and its control is managed by the shareholders — ie every member who has joined and made a deposit. Credit Unions are set up as non profit, so “profits” must be returned to the membership, and/or services and fees reduced.
The second key item is to reduce debt. The Federal Reserve Monster feeds on debt. Take away debt and it will wither and die. The government can not coerce to take debt, nor can it coerce to live beyond your means, or purchase consumer goods. Most of the people in this resistance are either paying off their mortgages (if they can) or paying them down. Paying off all credit card debt is a given and not taking on anymore, save for basic revolving credit that you pay off in full at the end of each month — like a real credit card as was set up in the beginning. Do not carry balances.
Thirdly, reduce consumer spending and practice checkbook democracy. We have put off any major purchases, as have others who have joined.
Fourth, use your checkbook as a tool for your own plan to change behavior. We were disgusted at how Sarah Palin was treated in the press, and contacted the major advertisers in these publications. The least satisfactory answers came from Coke and Pepsi. We do not buy Coke or Pepsi products now. At first, I though this was going to be problematic, but it’s not.
We bought our son a Homemade Rootbeer kit, and the kids have been making homemade sodas and love it. Their friends are doing the same. They also now make pizza at home from scratch instead of ordering out.
The fourth thing we did was change our withholding to maximize our deduction and minimize withholding. This is legal. We looked at the last three years of income tax we paid, divided it by 12, and adjusted our withholding to reflect what we actually end up paying, rather than “loaning” the government money. It has freed up a significant amount of money each month, which we are using to purchase silver and gold (including liberty dollars).
We were fortunate enough to have sold a rental property in 2005 and I had planned on using those funds to start a business. Instead, we used that money to pay off our mortgage. So, now there is no revenue (interest income to report or income generated by business investment), no employees or no jobs (in fact, down a job since I am now “unemployed”) and our stress level has gone down. I refuse to work my guts out if the plan is to “redistribute” my sweat equity. When the federal government decides to change its priorities, I will change mine.
We have held bi-monthly meetings to discuss what we can do. Our strategy is having results. The local government here, which is very bloated, is now for the first time, making spending cuts, which it refused to do. Sales tax revenues are well off, and they know they can’t make them up, and resistance to any tax increase is high.
It won’t take much on a national level to force the policy changes we, rather than “they” want. Obama and the Democrats can’t force their socialization of the country along if productivity goes down and people refuse to take on debt.
They can’t force you to take on debt. They can’t force you to consume. And so on.
If every family did the above to the best of their ability, you can bet it would have a far reaching effect.

I’m drawn to your comments because the tax resistance thing has been on my mind a lot. First for the reason of defiance and much more now because Obama is taking steps to spend our taxes to promote abortion.
I was thrilled to be among the 100’s of thousands of young and old show up in DC on the 22nd. My point is that I see potential here. We need to bring different groups together against this common foe.
It would involve some sacrifice.
