Justice Department protecting Obama, Evidence, Evidentiary Proffer, Blagojevich prosecution delayed and manipulated, Collusion

“Why did the Illinois Senate Health & Human Services Committee, with Obama as chairman, create and push Bill 1332, “Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act,” early in 2003, which reduced the number of members on the Board from 15 to 9, just prior to rigging by Tony Rezko and Rod Blagojevich?”…Citizen Wells

“I believe I’m more pristine on Rezko than him.”…Rod Blagojevich

This is the first article in a series about corruption in the US Justice Department and specifically an operation I refer to as “Protecting Obama.” Many events smelled back in 2008, but with the passage of time, the stench is corroborated. Below is the Evidentiary Proffer, a summary and timeline of the bulk of evidence that reveals how Obama was protected in the investigation and prosecution of Tony Rezko, Rod Blagojevich, et al. The time is right to present my case. There are enough well documented events to make a strong case. As I have mentioned recently, I have contacted a prominent congressman about this issue and others and this is a way to get the facts in front of the congressman, his staff and the public. The Proffer will certainly be updated from time to time. I will next present an opening statement and then go on to present the case in more detail. However, anyone who has been paying careful attention or who reads this Proffer, will come to the obvious conclusion presented here  of collusion involving the US Justice Department, Patrick Fitzgerald, Barack Obama, and probably Rod Blagojevich and Tony Rezko.

Before reading the Proffer, here is a recap of how important Rezko is to the prosecution of Blagojevich and ultimately indicting Obama.
It is understandable why the Blagojevich defense team does not want Rezko on the stand. Judge Zagel’s comment about Rezko being a bad witness reeks of conspiracy. Convicted felons of all categories are regularly used as witnesses. Stuart Levine, the key witness in the Rezko trial was not only enmeshed in corruption but was a long time drug user.

Here are the approximate number of times that “Rezko” is mentioned in US Justice Department documents.

Indictment:  87 times.
Criminal complaint:  170 times.
Evidentiary Proffer:  288 times.

Even if a strong argument is made against using Rezko as a witness, and good luck with that argument, Stuart Levine was used extensively as a witness in the Rezko trial, and his name was mentioned approx. 146 times in the Blagojevich Criminal Complaint. And remember, Blagojevich’s name was mentioned at least 30 times on one day of the Rezko trial.

U.S. Citizens

V.

U.S. Justice Department,

Barack Hussein Obama

Evidentiary Proffer supporting charge of Collusion in protecting Obama during the course of investigating and prosecuting Tony Rezko and Rod Blagojevich.

Jan. – Aug. 2003:  Obama was Chairman of the IL Senate Health and Human Service Committee.
Feb. 20, 2003: Senate Bill 1332 “Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act” filed. Reduced members of IL Health Planning and Facilities Board from 15 to 9.

(Rezko Trial March 13, 2008; 3:09 p.m.)

“Almanaseer was appointed to the planning board in 2003 on Rezko’s recommendation. Prosecutors contend he became part of a five-member voting bloc on the board that followed Rezko’s wishes. Almanaseer said board Chairman Thomas Beck tried to steer his voting.

“He said, ‘If you just don’t know which way to vote, vote the way Mr. Levine votes because that’s the way Tony would want the vote to go,” Almanaseer recalled, referring to Stuart Levine.”

Spring 2003 – Nov 2003: (Rezko trial March 11, 2008; 10:58 a.m.)

“Jennifer Thomas, a former aide to Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s patronage chief Joe Cini, continued on the stand Tuesday morning and gave a few more insights into those regular Monday morning meetings she and Cini held in 2003 with Antoin “Tony” Rezko at his office.”

“Thomas said Rezko floated the names of several people to sit on the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board, which the government claims Rezko corrupted with the help of board member Stuart Levine. And Thomas said Rezko at one point made it clear that he wanted to see Levine reappointed to the panel, which was being overhauled by the governor in 2003.”
May 21, 2003: Senate Bill 1332 passed by House and Senate.
June 27, 2003: Blagojevich made this the effective date of Senate Bill 1332.
June 2003: (Rezko trial March 10, 2008; 4:16 p.m.)

“Ziegelmueller asked Hayden about a 2003 e-mail exchange with Lichtenstein, then the governor’s top lawyer, in which Wilhelm made recommendations for the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board.
The name of Barack Obama, the Democratic front-runner for the presidential nomination, also appears in the e-mail as a member of a strategic team reviewing hospital board matters with the governor’s staff when he was a state senator. The hospital board was scheduled to be revamped in the summer of 2003.
Obama was then chairman of the Senate Committee on Health & Human Services.”
June 30, 2003: Obama gets the following donations.

$5000 Ali Ata was appointed as Director at IFA
$6000 Alison Davis gets appointment on Investment Board
$15,000 Dr. Michael Malek gets appointment on Hospital Facility Board
$5000  Abdelhamid Chaib’s wife gets appointment on Employee Security Board
$10,000 Elie Maloof – Rezko used him as one of several strawmen to donate funds to certain politicians.
$1000  Phil Cacciatore (one of Auchi’s Riverside Park Investors) gets seat on Board
$1000  Velma Butler (one of Auchi’s Riverside Park Investors) was recommended for Board
$1000  Martello Pollack (Vegas Crystal Comm) received Iraqi Construction contracts
$1000 Jack Carriglio gets appointed to Board
$500  Anthony Abboud gets appointed to Board
$3000 Michael Winter, who helped Rezko in funneling kickbacks through investment firm
$1000 Talat Othman gets appointed to Board
$1000 David Gustman, $1000 from Gustman’s wife after he is appointed Board Chairman
Late 2003: Earliest documented awareness by FBI and Patrick Fitzgerald of corruption in Blagojevich admin. Pamela Meyer Davis agreed to secretly record conversations involving state health planning board with an FBI wire.
Oct. 29, 2003: Blagojevich interest in presidency (Blagojevich criminal complaint pg 14).

“During the conversation, Cari and ROD BLAGOJEVICH discussed Cari’s fundraising background and work as a national fundraiser. ROD BLAGOJEVICH discussed his interest in running for President of the United States.”
Dec 17, 2003: Former Governor George Ryan indicted.

http://www.justice.gov/usao/iln/indict/2003/warner_ryan.pdf
Dec 31, 2003: (NY Times)

“Mr. Fitzgerald announced that he was prosecuting former Gov. George Ryan, a Republican, in a scandal that had been swirling around long before Mr. Fitzgerald got here and that many people thought would never touch the most powerful politicians in Illinois. But there Mr. Fitzgerald was, a week before Christmas, ticking off the details of a 91-page indictment against Mr. Ryan, seemingly from memory.

That, even Mr. Fitzgerald’s former opponents in the courtroom say, is classic Fitzgerald: dogged, dispassionate and endlessly prepared.”
2004 – 2005: (February 10, 2008 Sun-Times)

“In the media, Obama always made it sound like he rarely saw Rezko, saying they met for breakfast or lunch once or twice a year. However, the FBI mole John Thomas helped investigators “build a record of repeat visits to the old offices of Rezko and former business partner Daniel Mahru’s Rezmar Corp., at 853 N. Elston, by Blagojevich and Obama during 2004 and 2005,“

During his March 14, 2008 interview, the Times told Obama, Thomas is an FBI mole and he “recently told us that he saw you coming and going from Rezko’s office a lot.”

“And three other sources told us that you and Rezko spoke on the phone daily.””
March – May 2004: (Rezko trial exhibits)

FBI chart presented to the jury on April 28, 2008, shows 257 calls from Rezko’s phones to Blagojevich’s chief of staff, Lon Monk, between March 2004 and May 2004 alone.

http://www.justice.gov/usao/iln/hot/us_v_rezko_exhibits/2008_04_28/phone_chart_07.pdf

April 3, 2004: (April 14, 2008; 12:57 p.m. Rezko trial transcripts)

“Stuart Levine, the prosecution’s star witness, said he and Obama were at a party Rezko threw at his Wilmette mansion on April 3, 2004, for Nadhmi Auchi, a controversial Iraqi-born billionaire who Rezko was trying to get to invest in a South Loop real-estate development.

Auchi, now a citizen of the United Kingdom, has faced criminal charges in Europe. He also figured in the revocation of Rezko’s bond early this year after attempting to wire him more than $3 million. Upon learning of that attempt, U.S. District Judge Amy St. Eve declared Rezko a flight risk and ordered him held in a federal jail in the Loop.

The Rezko party in 2004 was designed to induce Auchi to pour money into the South Loop investment. Obama’s presence at the party was not previously known. At the time, Obama was fresh off a surprise win in the Illinois Democratic primary for U.S. Senate and was riding a crest of national publicity.”
April 8 – May 21, 2004: (Rezko Trial March 12, 2008; 11:11 a.m.)

“FBI Special Agent Daniel Cain, the primary case agent on the investigation into Levine and Rezko, is on the stand now in testimony that is laying the foundation for entering the wiretaps into evidence.

Cain said the investigation, dubbed Operation Board Games by the federal agents, began in December 2003 and was prompted by information gleaned from an informant whom he did not identify. That witness, he said, took part in meetings with two other individuals who were in contact with Levine by phone at his home.

Cain said Levine had three phone lines in his North Shore home. Federal agents recorded conversations on those lines April 8-May 21, 2004. Those dates span the time when Levine, Rezko and others allegedly were working to rig the hospital board vote on a Mercy Health System hospital proposal for Crystal Lake and other kickback schemes prosecutors claim they were engaged in.”
April 21, 2004: (Rezko Trial March 11, 2008; 5:27 p.m.)

“The former lawyer for a state board that regulates hospital expansions took the stand late in the afternoon and said she told Stuart Levine of her concern after an odd vote on the Mercy Hospital project that included Levine whispering to other board members before the project was approved.

His response was no less troubling, she said.

“He shrugged his shoulders and said, ‘Sometimes you have to be a good soldier,'” said Anne Murphy, the former lawyer for the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board.

Murphy said Levine’s remark followed a vote that saw the plan for a new hospital in Crystal Lake squeak by with the minimum of five votes in favor on the nine-member board.

With eight members present at the April 2004 meeting, Murphy said the vote was stalled with three members voting “yes,” two voting “no” and two abstentions when Chairman Thomas Beck was called to give his vote.

Beck said, “Where’re we at?” Murphy testified. He then went over to whisper with Levine off the record, she said. When that conversation ended, Murphy said, Levine got up and whispered to Imad Almanaseer.

Beck then voted yes, Murphy testified, and Almanaseer changed his vote to “yes,” giving the plan the necessary votes to pass.

“There was an audible, collective gasp across the room,” Murphy recalled of the April 2004 meeting.

Prosecutors contend the five members who voted for the hospital were a Levine-led bloc that Rezko had placed on the board and controlled. The two were charged with arranging to accept a kickback from the builder who was going to build the Mercy project in Crystal Lake.

The entire board was new as of the summer of 2003, Murphy said. She said she had given the new members memos on ethics, including conflicts of interest.”

May 18, 2004: (March 21, 2008; 12:10 p.m. Rezko trial transcripts)

“Another government wiretap has been played with Antoin “Tony” Rezko’s voice on it, and this one could prove damaging to his defense. On the tape, recorded May 18, 2004, Rezko can be heard giving orders to political fixer Stuart Levine about how he wanted to manipulate the vote of one of Levine’s fellow members on the Illinois Health Facilities Planning board, Danalynn Rice.

Late 2005 early 2006: From the Kenneth J. Conner complaint against Mutual Bank filed Oct. 16, 2008. The lawsuit is still active.

“11.  In late 2005 or early 2006, Conner performed an appraisal review of the Adams Appraisal (Exhibit C) per the directive of Richard Barth and James Murphy. Conner prepared a written Appraisal Review report (ARR) opining that the Adams Appraisal overvalued the Greenwood lot by a minimum of $ 125,000.00″

“18.  On October 23, 2007, eight days after Conner’s October 15, 2007 email to Schlabach attached as Exhibit J, Mutual Bank terminated Conner’s employment for pretextual reasons.”

Conner later told World Net daily when he initially was fired, that the bank and the Rezkos were engaged in “fraud, bribes or kickbacks, use whatever term you want,” to benefit the Obamas.

Soon after the Blagojevich arrest, Conner was interviewed by investigators from Fitzgerald’s office.
Jan. 2006: Rita Rezko sells the Obamas one-sixth of her lot for $104,500.
Feb. 4, 2006: (Chicago Sun-Times)

“Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich has always been rumored to be interested in higher office. A single entry in a campaign-finance report he filed this week could add fuel to the speculation.

Blagojevich paid $7,500 in December to one of the top Democratic political strategists in Iowa, where contacts are important for anyone with presidential aspirations.”

Nov. 7, 2006 (Chicago SunTimes)

“The Rezko story broke last week, when Obama was wrapping up a national tour serving several purposes: promote his new book, The Audacity of Hope, raise money and stump for Democrats, and lay the groundwork for a possible 2008 White House bid.”
Jan. 16, 2007:  Obama announces his intention to run for president.

“I’ve navigated some fairly difficult territory in my political career and, you know, there are some folks in Springfield who are pretty wily.

And I’ve always been able to operate effectively, but also do so in a way that’s consistent with my values and ethics. I make no claims of perfection, but I think that generally my judgment and my assessments of people have been pretty good and that’s part of how I’ve stayed out of trouble in what can be a pretty hurly burly political environment. ….. I think that the way [voters should view the Rezko relationship] is that I made a mistake in not seeing the potential conflicts of interest or appearances of impropriety. But they should see somebody who was not engaged in any wrongdoing, who did not in any way betray the public trust, who has maintained consistently high ethical standards and who they can trust.”
Feb 10, 2008: (Chicago Sun-Times)

“Sources said Thomas helped investigators build a record of repeat visits to the old offices of Rezko and former business partner Daniel Mahru’s Rezmar Corp., at 853 N. Elston, by Blagojevich and Obama during 2004 and 2005.”

“A former Illinois real estate specialist says FBI agents have questioned him about a Chicago property that had been bought by convicted felon Tony Rezko’s wife and later sold to the couple’s next-door neighbor, Sen. Barack Obama.

The real estate specialist, Kenneth J. Conner, said bank officials replaced an appraisal review he prepared on the property and FBI agents were investigating in late 2007 whether the Rezko-Obama deal was proper.

“Agents and I talked about payoff, bribe, kickback for a long time, though it took them only a short number of minutes of talking with me while looking at the appraisal to acknowledge what they already seemed to know: The Rezko lot was grossly overvalued,” Mr. Conner told The Washington Times Monday.

“Rezko paid the asking price on the same day Obama paid $300,000 less than the asking price to the same seller for his adjacent mansion,” he said. “This begs the question of payoff, bribe, kickback.””

in interviews with the government that he engaged in election law violations by personally contributing a large sum of cash to the campaign of a public official who is not Rod Blagojevich. … Further, the public official denies being aware of cash contributions to his campaign by Rezko or others and denies having conversations with Rezko related to cash contributions. … Rezko has also stated in interviews with the government that he believed he transmitted a quid pro quo offer from a lobbyist to the public official, whereby the lobbyist would hold a fundraiser for the official in exchange for favorable official action, but that the public official rejected the offer. The public official denies any such conversation. In addition, Rezko has stated to the government that he and the public official had certain conversations about gaming legislation and administration, which the public official denies having had.”10

  1. We posted a couple of important comments at the tail of the previous thread to deal with the Japanese Nuclear Reactor(s) Disaster.

Hopefully some actual data and analysis and reasoning will help you avoid the misleading soundbites and hyperbolic handwringing.

  2. http://www.prisonplanet.com/chain-reaction-meltdown-all-the-nuclear-reactors-in-quake-hit-city-will-explode.html

    As reported by the BBC:

Japanese engineer Masashi Goto, who helped design the containment vessel for Fukushima’s reactor core, says the design was not enough to withstand earthquakes or tsunamis and the plant’s builders, Toshiba, knew this.

Mr Goto says his greatest fear is that blasts at number 3 and number 1 reactors may have damaged the steel casing of the containment vessel designed to stop radioactive material escaping into the atmosphere.

He says that as the reactor uses mox (mixed oxide) fuel, the melting point is lower than that of conventional fuel. Should a meltdown and an explosion occur, he says, *****nium could be spread over an area up to twice as far as estimated for a conventional nuclear fuel explosion. The next 24 hours are critical, he says.

    ABC News In Australia reports:

Currently the reactors are releasing small amounts of xenon-137 and iodine-131, which have a half life of 3.8-minutes and eight days respectively. But experts are more concerned by the release of cesium-137, which has a 30-year half-life.

Professor Aidan Byrne, director of the College of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the Australian National University in Canberra, says there’s still a chance the Japanese reactors could go into meltdown.

“It’s not impossible, because they have problems with the coolant. The Three Mile Island accident which is the previous one similar to this certainly did have a core meltdown. So it could happen in one or maybe even two of these [reactors],” he says.

Professor Richard Wakeford, a nuclear expert at Manchester University, said yesterday: ‘If the fuel is not covered by cooling water it could become so hot it begins to melt – if all the fuel is uncovered you could get a large-scale meltdown.’

Today it looks as if that scenario is playing out.

Shaun Burnie, an independent atomic energy consultant, also warns that Japan’s nuclear crisis is much worse than it seems:

The Japanese government is playing down the scale of the disaster, however, experts have pointed out that it has a long history of nuclear cover ups, and that this is the latest.

Documentary filmmaker Tony Barrell says in 2003 reactors across the country had to be shut down after it emerged the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) had hid accidents.

“They had to shut down 17 plants in 2003 because they’d been falsifying the records about what had been happening at them,” he said.

“Lives were threatened, systems broke down, there were failures to report and there were cover-ups. People pretended things hadn’t happened.”

Barrell says several other major incidents have occurred and gone relatively unreported:

“A place called Monju, which in 1995 sprang a leak in its liquid sodium cooling system which made the whole thing absolutely red hot and had to be shut down immediately and stayed shut down until the beginning of last year – 15 years.” he told ABC News in Australia.

Barrell also pointed out that the Fukushima Daiichi plant should have been shut down long ago because it is now 40 years old.

Should other plants in Japan experience complete meltdowns, the entire country could become a nuclear wasteground, and the radiation could engulf the entire planet, leading to huge numbers of deaths.

14 March 2011 Last updated at 13:14 ET

Technicians are battling to stabilise a third reactor at a quake-stricken Japanese nuclear plant, which has been rocked by a second blast in three days.

The fuel rods inside reactor 2 at the Fukushima Daiichi plant have been fully exposed on two separate occasions, raising fears of a meltdown.

  4. At least, 3 reactors are in meltdown. France is advising its citizens to evauate Tokyo. Brittain and Germany are advising against travel to Japan. The nuclear fallout is expected to hit the US in days and bo does NOTHING.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/03/13/us-japan-quake-france-idUSTRE72C21G20110313

“We strongly advise our nationals not to travel to Japan and we strongly recommend delaying any journey planned.”

Britain and Germany advised nationals against non-essential travel to areas affected by Friday’s earthquake and a tsunami that is estimated to have killed more than 10,000 people.

Japanese authorities were battling on Sunday to avert a meltdown at three nuclear reactors that were crippled by the earthquake.

Authorities and many scientists say the reactors are likely to be brought under control, with a negligible risk of radiation danger.

The French embassy said the other scenario was that one of them could explode, releasing a radioactive plume of smoke.

“This plume could reach Tokyo within a few hours, depending on the direction and speed of the wind,” its statement said. “The risk is that of contamination.”

  5. Great Job CW. Is the Congressman you mention showing interest in taking your lead and following up on investigations? BTW, wasn’t Stuart Levine found dead? Or am I confusing him with someone else?

  6. Aussie | March 13, 2011 at 8:26 pm |

    What fallout?

The radiation from the release of pressure at the reactor was minimal. The reactor is not harmed.

    ======================================
    Aussie | March 14, 2011 at 12:43 am |

The fact is that there was a very small release of radiation at one of the plants…There is almost no chance of this affecting people in the USA… The reactor is quite safe.

    =====================================
    Aussie,

Could you please state the basis for your conclusions that the Japan Reactors which are in meltdown are safe?

Your conclusions are refuted by all credible News and Scientific Reports. Please see the reports above from the BBC, CBC, ABC, CNN etc.

    Aussie,

Are you not aware that the French Government has alerted its citizens to evacuate Tokyo and Brittain and Germany have alerted their citizens not to travel to Japan?

If there was no danger of radiation poisoning from the meltdowns at the Nuclear reactors then why would the French, Brittish and German Governments be alerting there citizens that there is grave danger from nuclear fallout?

  8. CW,
I commend you for the countless hours and tremendous effort you have put into your latest report on Obama and Rezko. According to the Ulsterman insider you are on the right track. Late Monday, the chief government spokesman said there were signs that the fuel rods were melting in all three reactors, all of which had lost their cooling systems in the wake of Friday’s massive earthquake and tsunami

“Although we cannot directly check it, it’s highly likely happening,” Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano told reporters.

Experts have suggested that, if there were a reactor meltdown or major leak at Fukushima, the radioactive cloud would likely be blown out east across the Pacific, towards the US West Coast.

    ***

“The wind direction for the time being seems to point the (nuclear) pollution towards the Pacific,” said Andre-Claude Lacoste of the French Nuclear Safety Authority, briefing journalists in Paris on the Japanese crisis.

    ***

Earlier the NRC said it was “examining all available information as part of the effort to analyze the event and understand its implications both for Japan and the United States.”

  24. OldSalt,

Got your e-mail; no offense taken!

Am at work, so will check in later.

Local and state officials are being bombarded with calls regarding supplying KI (potassium iodide) to rescue workers traveling to Japan to help.

No one knows at this point if a meltdown can be averted. All state, local and federal experts, as well as nuclear engineers are being consulted at this point. Everyone’s working as a team to try to figure out how to stop the reaction; the seawater is a last ditch effort but there’s no guarantee it’ll work.

The earthquake damaged the valves which control the guts of the nuclear power plant; that’s why they’re having so much trouble controlling the processes.

No word on preparations for any fallout that may hit the continental U.S. (is eff’ing Barky playing GOLF again?), but our array on the roof in MA is ready to monitor anything that comes towards the East coast; arrays in NH, VT, ME and CT are also ready; I’m sure that they’re also being ramped up all over the U.S.

    Pray this can be stopped!

  25. bo does NOTHING to avert nuclear fallout poisoning in US while covering up for GE, the designer of the failed nuclear plants in Japan and 23 faulty nuclear power plants in the US.

Did we really expect anything different from the Messiah?

Wonder which 60’s group is playing at the White House tonight….

  29. Paxson, GE built the plant, and you are right, it has nothing to do with the current problem.
That problem is due to a number of unforced errors, as well as the impact of the tsunami.
Things are developing rapidly with a third facility in trouble.

However, the Japanese are working to try and prevent the melt down from the reactors.

Once again, I take the Japanese statements at their word. The first explosion was not due to a melt down. There was a release of hydrogen and that caused the explosion. The explosion damaged the outer housing but according to the Japanese the actual housing of the reactor was undamaged.

The current crisis is due to the rods being exposed for something like 2 and half hours when the water was not flowing. This in turn was caused by something to do with air pressure being switched off, which caused the water to stop flowing. The power plant workers are pumping sea water into the reactor. However, only one of the pumps had been working, which in turn has helped to create the new crisis which is due to the lack of flow of water, and which has exposed the rods.
Up until this morning the information that I had was that there was a crisis but it was not that bad, however, the additional information that I have seen this morning indicates that the situation is far more serious than expected.

  30. The reactors were built to withstand a magnitude 8.0 earthquake. There very well could be some design flaws that GE should address at some point. Today, this very minute, should be focused on containment. Its as though there is some morbid curiosity as to how bad that this NATURAL DISASTER can get.

Obama is quiet because he is incompetent and a very poor leader.

    Great letter to Bachmann….

An Open Letter to Michele Bachmann
    82Share 0diggsdigg
WHAT ABOUT YOUR OATH TO UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION?

    by Marc Shea

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann represents the Sixth District in Minnesota, having been elected initially in 2006

(Mar. 12, 2011) — Michele Bachmann, you are a fraud. Your quip about releasing your birth certificate should you decide to run for president should land you in prison for treason, as it demonstrates that you are fully aware of the constitutional crisis in which we find ourselves.

    Yet you do nothing.

There are tens of millions of people clamoring for justice due to the high probability that Barack Obama aka Barry Soetoro is not eligible to the office of the presidency. We cannot begin to prove this until we see the real birth certificate, and the patriots who demand this simple request of the usurper are being denied the right to choose our chief executive via the constitutional standard of natural born Citizenship. In short, our natural right to exercise consent is being stripped, and the entire rule of law is being undermined. We are dangerously close to an outright dictatorship. If an ineligible (illegal) man is serving as president, are we not living under a dictatorship?

And you, Ms. Bachmann, make a quip about the birth certificate to pander for votes?

Attention, Congresswoman! Your duty is clear. Stand up and demand an investigation into the usurper’s constitutional eligibility! Do it now, with the tools at your disposal that are being denied to us by judicial tyrants. Use the power of the subpoena to force this man to produce his documentation. Enough with the snarky comments. The definition of natural born Citizenship is very clear. He is either eligible or not. He either has two citizen parents and was born in the country or not. We have the right to see the birth certificate, and not have our tax dollars used against us to hide this basic documentation by an illegal destroyer of the rule of law. Demand justice, and adherence to OUR Constitution! Let it be done, though the heavens fall.

    What say you, Congresswoman Bachmann?

    http://www.thepostemail.com/2011/03/12/an-open-letter-to-michele-bachmann/

  43. OK, folks…this is straight from the horse’s mouth (our Rad/Nuke Program Director).

He has been in touch with the ‘expert’ from G.E. throughout the day.

Each of the 3 reactors has had a *partial* exposure of the fuel rods. The reactor vessels **have NOT melted down.** The fuel rods, however, are in serious jeopardy. If there is a meltdown, the entire vessel is gone then, we do have a problem.

What is currently being released into the atmosphere: Iodine-131, Krypton-85, Cesium-137 and Tritium.

Hopefully, I’ll continue to get reports throughout the evening, but that’s what’s happening right now. I can’t say at this point what discussions are being held to stop this reaction, but I’ll post whatever I get.

Two-Year-Old Treason Complaint against Obama has Never Been Answered
    204Share 0diggsdigg
“IT’S GOING TO TAKE LARGE NUMBERS OF PEOPLE”

    by Sharon Rondeau

The criminal complaint for treason filed with the U.S. Attorney’s office in Knoxville, TN on March 17, 2009

(Mar. 11, 2011) — This St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, will mark two years since LCDR Walter Francis Fitzpatrick, III filed a criminal complaint of treason against Barack Hussein Obama with the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee in Knoxville.

The complaint named Obama as an “impostor president” and cited the U.S. Army’s deployment of troops into the town of Samson, AL on the evening of March 10, 2009.

    According to Wikipedia:

On March 10, 2009, in the Alabama towns of Kinston, Samson and Geneva, Michael McLendon killed several people before committing suicide. In response, troops from nearby Fort Rucker were deployed to the streets of Samson where they manned barricades and guarded a makeshift morgue. This was later determined to be in violation of the Posse Comitatus Act, which prohibits federal troops from performing law enforcement actions.[3]

A report following the incident stated that approval to deploy U.S. troops in Samson would have had to have been approved by either the Alabama governor or the president; another report contends that Gov. Bob Riley was not even aware of the deployment by Army troops.

    Fitzpatrick’s complaint states, in part:

Posing as an impostor president and commander in chief you have stripped civilian command and control over the military establishment. Known military criminal actors—command racketeers—are now free in the exercise of military government intent upon destruction of America’s constitutional government.

Free from constitutional restraint, and following your criminal example, military commanders deployed U.S. Army active duty combat troops into the small civilian community of Samson, Alabama last week in a demonstration of their newly received despotic, domestic police power.

The U.S. Attorney, Russell Dedrick, stated that he was unable to prosecute Obama without an order from a federal judge, although the website for the office does not indicate that to be the case.

The treason complaint did not raise the issue of whether or not Obama is constitutionally eligible to hold the office of President and Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. military, contrary to news reports from Fitzpatrick’s local area which failed to show the actual document or quote from its contents.

The question of Obama’s eligibility had initially been raised in 2008 with a lawsuit filed by Attorney Philip Berg on August 28 of that year. Many other lawsuits followed, none of which was ever heard on the merits, including Kercher v. Obama & Congress, which named others in addition to Obama as defendants. Most recently, Hollister v. Soetoro was conferenced twice by the U.S. Supreme Court but did not gain a hearing. Two U.S. Supreme Court justices appointed by Obama did not recuse themselves from the deliberations. The court docket appears to indicate that Obama does not contest the fact that he is also known as “Barry Soetoro,” an identity he did not divulge during the 2008 presidential campaign.

The various lawsuits cited several reasons why Obama did not qualify as a “natural born Citizen” as required by Article II, Section 1, clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution, among them having a foreign citizen parent at birth, possibly being born in a foreign country, acquiring Indonesian citizenship as a child with no proof of repatriation to the U.S., and being born to a mother who was too young to confer U.S. citizenship to him according to the laws in force at the time. Obama has never made available any of his historical documents, including an original birth certificate, medical and college records, or passport records.

Although Fitzpatrick was visited by members of the Secret Service whom he believes are aware that Obama is not constitutionally eligible for the office he holds, the complaint itself has never been addressed.

Fitzpatrick has told The Post & Email that as a retired member of the U.S. military, he is subject to recall and the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). He stated that he should have been jailed for mutiny if the accusations identified in the complaint had been proven false.

Following the filing of Fitzpatrick’s complaint, a group of private citizens from the state of Georgia personally served presentments naming Obama in the act of treason to sheriffs, U.S. attorneys, district court judges, the Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives, and the Georgia Secretary of State. One of the citizens was visited by the Secret Service, but the complaints were never addressed.

Beginning in April 2009 and continuing into 2010, at least 166 American Grand Jury members indicted Obama for fraud, election fraud and treason and delivered presentments throughout the country to judges, courts, district attorneys, attorneys general and governors. One response was received from Judge Royce Lamberth of the U.S. District Court in Washington, DC, which stated that presentments from citizens are not actionable by the courts despite their inclusion in the Fifth Amendment of the Bill of Rights.

Last August, a private citizen gathered 3,150 signatures and filed a criminal complaint against Obama, Nancy Pelosi and others with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Among the charges were Obama’s constitutional ineligibility for the presidency, election fraud, violation of bankruptcy laws, bribery, abuse of power, and violating an order from a federal judge. Neither FBI Director Robert Mueller nor anyone from the agency responded to the complaints. The entire package with exhibits can be read here.

Some states require a specific form to be used for filing a criminal complaint.

Of his two-year-old complaint against Obama, Fitzpatrick told The Post & Email, “It’s time to use the word ‘treason’ everywhere. If enough people get behind a treason complaint, that would exonerate Theresa Cao and Lt. Col. Lakin, who sits in prison tonight. Putting Lakin in prison was treason. Obama is replacing our constitutional government with another form of government, and that’s treason.”

On March 10, 2011, LCDR Fitzpatrick was a guest on the Paul Revere Radio Show hosted by Rick Johnson, during which Fitzpatrick detailed why he wrote the complaint, where he delivered it, and how he inadvertently discovered and exposed the endemic corruption within his county grand jury and judicial system.

Why have the thousands of treason complaints not been answered? How many more will it take for our public servants to respond to the allegations? Does America have the numbers?

Please ignore scare-mongering corporate propaganda about nuclear fall-out from Japan

    By Benjamin Fulford

There is a blizzard of panic mongering about nuclear melt-downs in Japan being generated out of U.S. corporate propaganda “media” and their Japanese employees. Please do not play into their hands because the generation of fear and panic is one of their last weapons.

Here is a list of the corporate sponsors of the so-called “Egyptian revolution” as compiled by the Japanese magazine “Kami no Bakudan” (paper bomb): Howcast, Edelman, Google, MTV, CBS “News,” Mobile Accord, You Tube, Facebook, MSNBC, National Geographic and the Omnicon Group. They have proven themselves to be unreliable in the past so please ignore any exaggerated panic causing news emanating from any of these propaganda outlets and their Council on Foreign Relations god-fathers.

The world now faces a choice between mutually assured self-destruction and world peace. We believe rational minds will prevail.

Japan’s Nikkei.com is reporting that the explosion at the Fukushima No. 1 reactor was due to a meltdown of nuclear fuel rods in its insufficiently cooled core. This was consistent with reports of radioactive cesium and iodine outside the plant, as well as the suggestion that it was a build up of hydrogen gas inside the reactor that led to the explosion earlier in the day. (You can see video of that explosion here.)

Ron Paul: No-Fly Won’t Fly Constitutionally
Submitted by Michael Nystrom on Mon, 03/14/2011 – 14:31
by Ron Paul | Texas Straight Talk
    March 14, 2011

Last week we once again heard numerous voices calling for intervention in Libya. Most say the US should establish a “no-fly” zone over Libya, pretending that it is a benign, virtually cost-free action, and the least we could do to assist those trying to oust the Gaddaffi regime. Let us be clear about one thing: for the US to establish a “no fly” zone over all or part of Libya would constitute an act of war against Libya. Establishing any kind of military presence in the sovereign territory of Libya will require committing troops to engage in combat against the Libyan air force, as well as anti-aircraft systems. The administration has stated that nothing is off the table as they discuss US responses to the unrest. This sort of talk is alarming on so many levels. Does this mean a nuclear strike is on the table? Apparently so.

In this case, I would like to make sure we actually follow the black letter of the law provided in the Constitution that explicitly grants Congress the sole authority to declare war. This week I will introduce a concurrent resolution in the House to remind my colleagues and the administration that Congress alone, not the president, decides when to go to war. It is alarming how casually the administration talks about initiating acts of war, as though Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution does not exist. Frankly, it is not up to the President whether or not we intervene in Libya, or set up “no-fly” zones, or send troops. At least, it is not if we follow the Constitution. Even by the loose standards of the War Powers Resolution, which cedes far too much power to the president, he would have no authority to engage in hostilities because we have not been attacked – not by Gaddafi, and not by the rebels. This is not our fight. If the administration wants to make it our fight, let them make their case before Congress and put it to a vote. I would strongly oppose such a measure, but that is the proper way to proceed.

Constitutional questions aside, Congress also needs to consider the interests of the American people. Again, we have not been attacked. Whatever we may think about the Gaddafi regime, we must recognize that the current turmoil in Libya represents an attempted coup d’etat in a foreign country. Neither the coup leaders nor the regime pose an imminent threat to the United States and therefore, as much as we abhor violence and loss of life, this is simply none of our business. How can we commit our men and women in uniform to a dangerous military operation in Libya when they swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution? We must also understand that our intervention will undermine the legitimacy of whatever government prevails in Libya. Especially if it is a bad government, it will be seen as our puppet and further radicalize people in the region against us. These are terrible reasons to put our soldiers’ lives at risk.

Finally we need to consider the economic cost. We don’t have the money for more military interventions overseas. We don’t have the money for our current military interventions overseas. We have to rely on the Fed’s printing presses and our ability to borrow from China to fund these wars. That alone should put an end to any discussion about getting involved in Libya’s civil war.

There are 23 nuclear power plants operating in the U.S. using the same General Electric Mark 1 reactors as the Fukushima Daiichi Unit 1 that suffered a hydrogen explosion on Saturday and then again early Monday, according to a fact sheet just released by the Nuclear Information and Resource Service, a Maryland-based nuclear power watchdog group.

This design, a General Electric Mark I, has been criticized by nuclear experts and even Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff for decades as being susceptible to explosion and containment failure.

A chilling NIRS fact sheet from 1996 essentially predicts what has happened in Japan in the last few days:

  86. Suek………………………
It is my belief that Cesium is only produced as a direct result of FISSION. It would seem that a reactor would have to reach critical mass for that to occur,or the rods would have to melt down. If Cesium137 is put into the air then wherever it falls the radiation could prevail for about 35 years. The halflife of Cesium 135 is about 35 years. It was the reason why a few of the crewmembers of the USS Bairoke CVE 115 died before their respective 50eth birthdays. They ingested it into their respiratory systems. The US Government concurred that there are now 23 known forms of cancer that nuclear radiation can cause. This was as of two years ago.

  89. obots are desperately spreading disinformation about the nuclear fallout from the disaster at the GE designed plants in Japan.

  90. Out of curiosity I looked up the sv reference which relates to nuclear radiation. Heretofore I have never seen the need to look at this as a measure of radiation. It is a system called SEIVERT. 1 seivert equals 100 milliroengtens. However I again state that most EMERGENCY ORGANISATIONS STILL REFER TO the measure of IONISING radiation in either ROENGTENS,REMS,OR RADS. For all practical purposes they are all the same. Further the DEPARTMENT of HOMELAND Security also accepts this measure. I would expect the SEIVERT to be used wherever it is convenient to translate levels of radiation into increments of 100 milliroengtens each. At the Navy radiological school we were trained to use only roengtens, and milliroengtens. Since we were in the Marshall Islands to support the AEC in the testing program, it was essential that we used the same measurement criteria which they used. Interestingly the bottom of the lagoon near Bikini Atoll was tested just last year. Even after a little over 50 years the bottom of the lagoon is still covered with Cesium 137,and it was then still quite active, even though it has been immersed in salt water for the entire time. There has ben very little decay to the radiation levels.
While I in no way support our (ALLEGED) POTUS I have to say that there is DAMNED little that he,or anyone else can do to mitigate the atmospheric movement of radioactive dust once it is airborn. He can only have FEMA trepare the US CITIZENS for any fallout that might occur over US Soil. At this point I personally think that such a fallout is very unlikely.

    Maine’s new Governor is causing quite a buzz……WOW 🙂

The new Maine Governor, Paul LePage, is making New Jersey ‘s Chris Christie look like an enabler. He isn’t afraid to say what he thinks. And, judging by the comments heard at the cigar shop and other non-political gathering places, every time he opens his mouth his popularity goes up.

He brought down the house at his inauguration when he shook his fist toward the media box and said, “You’re on notice! I’ve inherited a financially-troubled state to run. Observe…cover…but don’t whine if I don’t waste time responding to your every whim for your amusement.”

During his campaign for governor he was talking to commercial fishermen who are struggling because of federal fisheries rules. They complained that President Obama brought his family to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park for a long Labor Day holiday and found time to meet with union leaders, but wouldn’t talk to them. LePage replied, “I’d tell him to go to hell and get out of my state.” Media crucified LePage, but he jumped 6 points in the pre-election poll.

The Martin Luther King incident was a political sandbag which brought him national exposure. The ‘lame stream’ media crucified him, but word on the street is very positive. The NAACP specifically asked him to spend MLK Day visiting black inmates at the Maine State Prison. He told them that he would meet with ALL inmates regardless of race if he were to visit the prison. The NAACP balked and then put out a news release claiming falsely that he refused to participate in any MLK events. He read it in the paper for the first time the next morning while be driven to an event and went ballistic because none of the reporters had called him for comment before running the NAACP release. He arrived at that event and said on TV camera, “if they want to play the race card on me they can kiss my butt” and he reminded them that he has an adopted black son from Jamaica and that he attended the local MLK Breakfast every year that he was mayor of Waterville . (He started his morning there on MLK Day.)

He then stated that there’s a right way and a wrong way to meet with the governor and he put all special interests on notice that press releases, media leaks and all demonstrations would prove to be the wrong way. He said any other group which acted like the NAACP could expect to be at the bottom of the governor’s priority list!

He then did the following, and judging from local radio talk show callers, his popularity increased even more: The state employees union complained because he waited until 3 p.m. before closing state offices and facilities and sending non-emergency personnel home during the last blizzard. The prior governor would often close offices for the day with just a forecast before the first flakes. (Each time the state closes for snow, it costs the taxpayers about $1-million in wages for no work in return.)

LePage was CEO of the Marden’s chain of discount family bargain retail stores before election as governor. He noted that state employees getting off work early could still find lots of retail stores open to shop. So, he put the state employees on notice by announcing: “If Marden’s is open, Maine is open!”

He told state employees: “We live in Maine in the winter, for heaven’s sake, and should know how to drive in it. Otherwise, apply for a state job in Florida !”

Governor LePage symbolizes what America needs…refreshing politicians who aren’t self-serving and who exhibit common sense!

    ==================================

To any newbies or anyone else bewildered – Aussie and SueK have a long track record of being reliable sources. Paxton has a track record of being a calming influence and a voice of reason.

Free Speech (as particularly evidenced by his similar muckraking and alarmist involvement in the Gulf disaster) is proven extremely unreliable.

The primary reason is that he has no background in the relevant science and technologies and misinterprets everything to suite his paranoia.

A case in point: He has been whining all day about ‘meltdowns’ and ‘exposed rods or cores’. Admittedly these are very bad things and may very well be true. But depending on the containment strategy and technologies, this may mean nothing other than the reactors being disabled. A giant economic disaster for sure, but not a worldwide radiation hazard.

We recommended valuable credible articles earlier today that explain things. They are long reads, but necessary to get past the hype. Distrust ANY soundbites from ANY source.

Please pray that CW will stick a sock in FS before anybody gets hurt or wastes a ton of money following his hyperbolic nonsense.

Yes, Kitty, I’m here; just a little behind right now!

The ocean water being used to cool the systems is failing; I think they knew this all along. The explosions you see are most likely hydrogen explosions, but no one knows for sure because no one can get close enough to see what’s happening.

Let’s hope the containment holds until they can put ‘Plan B’ into effect but to be honest, I don’t know what Plan B is.

Stand by. I’ll see if anyone has anything further for me.

  106. I personally feel that unless there is a very large saturation of radioactive dust that finds it’s way into the high altitude wind it is unlikely that much radioactive dust will find it’s way to the West Coast. Even if it does I doubt that it will be at any real strength. However I temper this by adding that it might pay to invest in a GIEGER-FULLER counter, and learn how to use it. IF you detect anything over a normal of about 10 milliroengtens to around 14 or so, you are safe, but if you detected something like 100 milliroengtens then you would need get out of the area immediately and hit the shower as quickly as possible, and rechecking your self until you have scrubbed your radiation down to about 15, milliroenftens or so. Just reiterating what was NORMAL decontamination procedure in the 1950s,and I see no reason why it would not work still today.

  117. FS……………..
Have you ever been involved with any fallout? I tell what I know from EXPERIENCE. I have been in radioactive fallout measuring upwards to 400 milliroengtens. Not the best place to be ANYTIME. Fortunately some of us (dependent where we was at during the fallout) were close to a shower that was not yet contaminated. We all hauled our butts into the showers as quickly as our legs would carry us. Our Dsimeters were showing a level actually heavier than what we actually received. In those days film badges were to be seen only as an indicator. Every group of support personell had a Geiger Fuller counter. Some of the crewmen of the USS Bairoko CVE 115 were not so lucky. They received a PLASTERING of radioactive fallout CESIUM 137 and it is reasonable to assume that they ingested a lot of it into their respiratory systems. They had no idea what the snowlike substance was that was falling all over the flight deck of the carrier……..until it was too late. This level of fallout can only occur after a nuclear, or thermo nuclear DETONATION which carries both debris and by products of a combination of both fission and fusion which is basically what happens in the H bomb.

Right, Kitty, and I hope the folks from G.E. and others in the industry can figure out something, but they have to do it FAST!

The hydrogen explosions are chipping away at the containment structures, so even if they have an *idea* it’s worth a try at this point.

People need to read the articles that have been posted here, even if there is a crack, the concrete walls of the outer shield is not compromised.

My son works in this field & just explained the entire thing to me, he was on the phone all day & knows what is going on there..

Also, he said the use of the word “meltdown” is very misused, the fuel rods are melting but the containment of it is NOT and if that was blown or gone, then & only then should the word “meltdown” be used.

  130. OLD SALT,
thank you for the timely comments. I happen to agree with your comments about the likely effect of any “fallout”.

The reports that I have seen have stated that the explosions have been hydrogen.

From what I have seen there is also cautious comments about the possible and likely semi melt down of a component of the rods.

My understanding of the situation is that there is a problem with the backup generators and the pumps that have failed, which has led to the increase in temperature, pressure and the exposure of the rods to the air. They were exposed for something like 2 and a half hours.

The use of the sea water is not failing but the pumps have failed because of damage sustained.

The reactors that were built are safe. The initial failures occurred outside of the reactors, namely the fence that was pummelled by the tsunami, which was supposed to stop the water, and the placing of the generators on too low ground.
When the earthqake struck the reactors were shut down according to procedure – it worked perfectly. However, when the generators failed this led to the failure of the water to continue to pump and keep the rods cool.

If this failure to keep the water pumping continues, then yes there is cause for real alarm.

  131. We posted a couple of important comments at the tail of the previous thread to deal with the Japanese Nuclear Reactor(s) Disaster.

Hopefully some actual data and analysis and reasoning will help you avoid the misleading soundbites and hyperbolic handwringing.

Thanks, marmar, and of course, your son is spot on with his assessment.

To some, everything is a ‘meltdown’ and they have visions of a Chernobyl-type event. This isn’t necessarily so; different reactor, different fuel, different situation. Human error was at the fore of that one in 1986.

Yes, the containment vessel is the important part of the whole setup; if that’s gone (as I mentioned in an earlier post) then we’re talking about a formal meltdown. That’s the worst case scenario and of course, that’s what they’re trying to avoid.

The situation in Japan is bringing back the memory of 1986. I have relatives who were within eyesight of Chernobyl immediately after the accident. They were on a visit to Kiev at the time. The Russians kept them incommunicado holed up in some hotel somewhere for over 10 days before they finally put them on a plane to Helsinki. The US officials could offer no assistance during that period of time as the Russians put a lid on all news and we could only wait and pray.

From what I recall the Chernobyl meltdown created a graphite fire that was next to impossible to contain and also cover with a makeshift sarcophagus (which is presently deteriorating and in serious need of repair/replacement).

Check out this website for present day photos of the dead zone around Chernobyl, taken by a fearless young woman who rides a motorcycle through the area. Page one is an explanation and the photo collection starts when you click on the link for “next page”:

  146. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/15/world/asia/15nuclear.html

It was not immediately clear if the blast was caused by the buildup of hydrogen, as occurred at the two other reactors at Daiichi — one on Saturday and the most recent one on Monday, when there was also a large explosion at the No. 3 reactor. Some early reports in the Japanese press suggested the latest explosion amounted to a different and more critical problem than the previous two.

This explosion, reported to have occurred at 6:14 a.m., happened in the “pressure suppression room” in the cooling area of the reactor and inflicted some degree of damage on the pool of water used to cool the reactor, officials of Tokyo Electric Power said. But they did not say whether or not the incident had impacted the integrity of the steel containment structure that shields the nuclear fuel.

Radiation levels around plant spiked after the explosion to 8,217 microsieverts an hour from 1,941 about 40 minutes earlier, the company said. Some emergency workers there were evacuated, though the levels would have to rise far higher to pose an immediate threat to health, officials said.

Any damage to the steel containment vessel of a nuclear reactor is considered critical because it raises the prospect of an uncontrolled release of radioactive material and full meltdown of the nuclear fuel inside.

Workers had been having difficulty injecting seawater into the reactor because its vents — necessary to release pressure in the containment vessel by allowing radioactive steam to escape — had stopped working properly, they said.

A Tokyo Electric official had earlier described the situation as improving. “We do not feel that a critical event is imminent,” he told a press conference.

But the explosion appeared to suggest that the efforts to contain the problem at that reactor had failed.

In reactor No. 2, which is now the most damaged of the three at the Daiichi plant, at least parts of the fuel rods have been exposed for several hours, which also suggests that some of the fuel has begun to melt. Government and company officials said fuel melting has almost certainly occurred in that reactor, which can increase releases of radioactive material through the water and steam that escapes from the container vessel.

In a worst case, the fuel pellets could also burn through the bottom of the containment vessel and radioactive material could pour out that way — often referred to as a full meltdown.

“There is a possibility that the fuel rods are heating up and starting to melt,” said a Tokyo Electric spokesman told a late-night conference on Monday, televised on public broadcaster NHK. “It is our understanding that we have possible damage to the fuel rods,” he said.

Industry executives in touch with their counterparts in Japan Monday night grew increasingly alarmed about the risks posed by the No. 2 reactor.

“They’re basically in a full-scale panic” among Japanese power industry managers, said a senior nuclear industry executive. The executive is not involved in managing the response to the reactors’ difficulties but has many contacts in Japan. “They’re in total disarray, they don’t know what to do.”

But the situation a reactor No. 3 was being closely watched for another reason. That reactor uses a special mix of nuclear fuel known as MOX fuel. MOX is considered contentious because it is made with reprocessed plutonium and uranium oxides. Any radioactive plume from that fuel would be more dangerous than ordinary nuclear fuel, experts say, because inhaling plutonium even in very small quantities is considered lethal.

The two reactors where the explosions occurred are both presumed to have already suffered partial meltdowns — a dangerous situation that, if unchecked, could lead to a full meltdown.

Here’s what is known about each:

    – Dai-ichi Unit 1: Some uranium pellets in the fuel core have already melted. Workers trying to prevent total meltdown, released steam in attempt to lower pressure in reactor vessel. Led to hydrogen explosion that blew away much of the containment building. Reactor vessel said to be intact. Regular cooling methods have failed; large amounts of seawater being pumped into reactor vessel to try cooling the severely overheated uranium core. Offsite radiation has been reported.

    – Dai-ichi Unit 2: Ability to cool unit has been lost. Officials say fuel rods have been fully exposed, at least twice. An attempt to channel seawater into the reactor failed due to stuck rod, so officials were trying to spray cool water on the top of the reactor vessel. Explosion occurred early Tuesday at this reactor. Partial fuel melt believed to have already occurred.

    – Dai-ichi Unit 3: Hydrogen explosion on Monday. Radiation believed released. Officials using seawater to cool the unit. Partial meltdown also has occurred.

    – Daini units 1, 2 and 4: Retained offsite power, but operators were experiencing equipment failures and increased pressure inside the containment vessels. There have been problems with residual heat removal systems.

    – Onagawa units 1, 2 and 3: Officials have said they’d detected higher-than-permitted radiation levels. When the levels fell, they said the radiation could have been from a release at the Dai-ichi units.

Ron Paul supporters already out in force for 2012 Republican nomination

    * March 14th, 2011 2:55 pm ET

Richmond area Ron Paul supporters will be out in force Monday afternoon waving signs at the intersection of Pump and Broad from 4:30pm.

So why sign waving and why Ron Paul? The Examiner spoke with organizer Igor Prohorov who expects a decent turnout.

“Sign waving gets the message out to a lot of people in a short period of time, and it’s a lot of fun.”

Prohorov says it is hard to gauge the support for Congressman Ron Paul as a Republican candidate in the 2012 Presidential election because of the lack of substantive polls.

“It is hard to really know but Ron Paul’s message is really resounding with a lot of people,” Prohorov says. “Most of the people I know at work are tired of the wars, of the spending, and will not be voting for Obama next time.”

“The real challenge for Dr. Paul will not be Barack Obama, because only Ron Paul can take some votes from Obama’s base. For example, Ron Paul is very popular with young people and he is considered a hero by the anti-war movement and those who hold civil liberties dear. He is also popular with Independents,” enthused Prohorov, a long-time supporter of the libertarian conservative doctor from Texas.

“Everyone knows conservatives will not vote for Obama, so to beat Obama you have to be able to persuade those people I mentioned previously; that’s how you beat him!”

What about the other Republicans rumored to be running for the White House?

”No one else, whether it be (Mitt) Romney, Sarah (Palin), (Mike) Huckabee or (Herman) Cain…can win those key demographics. So, the real challenge for the Republican Party is how much do they really want to get Obama out of office?,” Prohorov asks.

TOKYO – Japan’s nuclear safety agency said an explosion Tuesday at an earthquake-damaged nuclear power plant may have damaged a reactor’s containment vessel and that a radiation leak is feared.

“A leak of nuclear material is feared,” said another agency spokesman, Shinji Kinjo. He said the agency had no details of possible damage to the chamber.

  186. You are correct Old Salt in that Cs-137 is produced though fission. In a nuclear reactor, you have a “controlled” chain reaction of the neutrons produced by the fuel atoms (usually U-235) to bring on more fission. This produces energy in the form of heat. You need the fission to create the energy. That doesn’t mean it is in meltdown. The Cesium is a natural decay result of the fission. So the presence of Cesium is to be expected, not an indication of meltdown. They can also absorb the neutrons to control the fission. What causes the meltdown is when you can’t stop the heat. The pumps that controlled the water for cooling stopped working and the heat just continued to increase. This created immense steam. When they tried to release the steam, it combined with oxygen and combusted. I believe it was the steam (with all the radionuclides) that has been detected near these reactors.
If the heat cannot be controlled, then you have the potential for meltdown. These reactors have so many safeguards, that even if the rods melt, hopefully all the radiation is contained within the steel and cement casings. What little is vented out through steam would be the only risk of contamination. And evacuations took care of that risk.

These containments could stay forever with all that “melted” radiation and be of no particular threat. If it should melt a hole through it, then you would have ground contamination. Or if the steel and cement is blown through, then you could have air contaminants. Trust me, I am NO expert on nuclear reactors but I have a long history working with radiation.

I worked with radiopharmaceuticals for many years; including but not limited to Xenon, I-131, I-125, Thallium, Technetium, Krypton, Gallium, and Indium-111, to name a few. All longer half-life waste was stored in leaded containers and decayed out in a special lead-lined room. It was monitored regularly and disposed of properly once it decayed out. All radioisotopes have half lives and if properly stored can be safely managed until it decays.

Most, if ingested will also have a biologic half life as well, so say for instance, I 131 has a half life of aprroximately 8 days, but the body is normally eliminating it, you have a biologic half life 0f about 5.5 days. So in essence, in 5.5 days, 1/2 has left your body. By the way, the thyroid gland has an affinity for Iodine. In normal circumstances, it will absorb as much as it needs for normal function. That is why they give Potassium Iodine tablets in the event of a radioactive I-131 contamination. If the gland is saturated with stable Iodine, it will absorb very little of the radioactive iodine. Then the radioactive iodine will just flush itself out of the body.

I hope this helps a bit. Let’s just pray the integrity of those containments holds up like they were designed.

Looks like Trump forgot about the FEC rules when he sent someone to Iowa on his behalf…..UMMMM…this could get interesting….not very smart on Trump’s part!

Also as a side note….the author didn’t even get the story right…..

The headline to this article is incorrect: “Ron Paul aide files complaint over Donald Trump’s private jet”? This guy isn’t an “aide” to Ron Paul, he’s a supporter of Ron Paul, as the article later states. Ron Paul doesn’t know this guy exists, so describing him as an aide is absurd.

    Correction, Maggie Haberman?

By MAGGIE HABERMAN | 3/14/11 1:29 PM EDT

Donald Trump versus Ron Paul, round two.

The back-and-forth between Trump and Paul has prompted a booster of the Texas congressman filing a complaint with the Federal Election Commission against the billionaire potential 2012 hopeful.

Ron Paul aide files complaint over Donald Trump’s private jet
The complaint, first reported by The Daily Beast, accuses Trump of violating election laws because an adviser, Michael Cohen, used the developer’s personal jet to travel to Iowa to measure support for a campaign. Cohen, who co-founded a draft committee to get Trump in the race, said he wasn’t making the trip on Trump’s behalf and that another draft movement founder financed it.

The Daily Beast report put the cost of the trip at about $125,000 and noted that Cohen used a Trump organization email address to alert reporters about it. POLITICO’s Ben Smith raised questions about the trip at the time it took place, with the plane’s blazing “Trump” logo visible at the Des Moines airport. [See also: The campaign Kabuki phase]

The complaint was filed, the report said, by Ron Paulite Shawn Michael Thompson. Thompson’s lawyer described him as an active tea party member who also organized for Paul in Florida in 2008.

“Donald Trump is by his own admission testing the waters for election to the presidency,” the complaint says, according to the Beast, “and he is… a de facto candidate for the Republican nomination. He has not filed or registered with the Commission any exploratory committee [commonly called a Testing the Waters committee] or principal campaign committee, or statement of candidacy on FEC Form 1-or any other filing whatsoever with the FEC. A testing the waters committee requires adherence to contribution and limits and prohibits corporate contributions.

Fears that America could be hit by the nuclear fallout from the Japan earthquake have dramatically increased after the reactor hit by the tsunami went into ‘meltdown’ tonight.

The fourth reactor caught at the crippled Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power complex caught fire tonight, spewing radiation at levels that the Japanese government warned could affect human health.

NBC was reporting tonight that the meltdown is now the second biggest nuclear disaster ever – and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has admitted it is ‘quite possible’ the fallout could reach America.

Other scientists in the U.S. warned yesterday of a ‘worst-case scenario’ in which the highly radioactive material could be blasted into the atmosphere and blown towards the West Coast.

They said it could be picked up by powerful 30,000ft winds, carrying the debris across the Pacific and hitting the West Coast. Some estimates claimed the radiation could arrive on America’s shores by Tuesday evening, according to the AFP.

“Right now it’s quite possible that there could be some radiation floating over the United States,’ said Nuclear Regulatory Commission spokesman David McIntyre.

PASSING ON A NEW EMAIL I JUST RECEIVED…..

URGENT REQUEST FROM CONGRESSMAN JOHN FLEMING, M.D.
    AUTHOR OF H. RES 615

On Wednesday the House votes on whether to do another short-term continuing resolution (CR). This CR currently contains no provision to cut spending on the health care bill endorsed by the President. There is approx. $105 billion identified in that bill that will fund over 150 new agencies. However, cutting this funding would require waiving a House rule that doesn’t allow such an amendment on a CR.

So I ask you an important poll question. Please go to my website and register your preference. http://fleming.house.gov/Forms/Form/?ID=1140

“Do you favor Congress waiving its own rule that would allow us to add an amendment that would eliminate up to $105 billion of advanced funding for the government takeover of health care even if this amendment may not pass the Senate and could result in a government shutdown?”

I remain committed to continue to work aggressively in Congress to repeal what I firmly believe to be an onerous and unconstitutional health care reform law and support market-based solutions to our health care needs.

    Sincerely,

    JOHN FLEMING, M.D.

Thank you. And thanks to Aussie and SueK and several others who actually apply some intelligence and analysis to their reporting. The objectivity is much appreciated.

Elsewhere and otherwise there are many lies, much disinformation, and an overall misguided tone of hysteria. I used to hate nothing worse than people with Bush Derangement Syndrome, but I am getting really to dislike Obama Derangement Syndrome nearly as bad.

Not that he doesn’t deserve it, but it is very disruptive to those who are trying to draw attention to actual problems with the Obama Reign. The ODS ultimately backfires and it splashes kook juice not only on the nonsense spouters but on the rest of us who are at least trying to be objective and focused.

    God help us.

In the meantime, let’s try not to dwell too hard on the ‘sensation’ of the whole Japanese disaster and focus on how we might help the survivors and pray for their well being.

I really wish CW could figure out a way to police this blog better. Stifling beneficial speech is one thing, but allowing hate and lies and “throwing acid” on other well-meaning comenters is just beyond the pale.

Mr. Kan said that radiation had spread from the crippled reactors and there was “a very high risk” of further leakages.

Looks like the integrity of the steel containments might be deteriorating.

As Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ) read the Constitutional requirements for a United States president, Theresa called out from the gallery, “Except Obama, except Obama, help us, Jesus! My name is Theresa.” Unlike what had occurred previously with the Marxist-Leninist Left-wing group Code Pink and Cindy Sheehan merely being escorted out of the chamber when they severely disrupted sessions in the House of Representatives, Theresa Cao was arrested (for her one sentence statement–and no, she wasn’t “chanting” as one of the leftist news services has written. In other words, leftists can protest in Congressional chamber all they want, but one conservative (and Christian?) person who dares to question the illegal president will be arrested.

Much of radiological contaminants that are ingested are picked up by the THYROID gland, which is considered to be our body’s vacuum cleaner. Sadly not ALL of the half life products flush themselves out of the body befor they do serious damage to many of our glands and organs. There is and has for many years been solid evidence produced that our IMMUNE systems are often severely effected by IONISING RADIATION. T cells become erratic and begin working overtime. This can produce illnesses like severe psoriasis. Johns Hopkins University has spent a great deal of money and time in researching the T cell angle as it relates to a radiation damaged immune system.. I respectfully invite you to go to their searcheable database and read some of the research results that have been posted. Much can be downloaded, and printed off.

Then, this morning, the building housing Unit 2, with its dangerously overheating nuclear core, also experienced an explosion. Shigekazu Omukai, spokesman for Japan’s nuclear safety agency, said the bottom of the container that surrounds the reactor might have been damaged. Another agency spokesman, Shinji Kinjo, says that “a leak of nuclear material is feared.”

“This is going to be worse than Three Mile Island. We basically are looking at three Three Mile Islands,” says nuclear consultant Lake Barrett, a former Energy Department and Nuclear Regulatory Commission engineer.

SOMA, Japan — Japan’s nuclear crisis deepened dramatically Tuesday. As safety officials sought desperately to avert catastrophe, the government said radioactive material leaking from reactors was enough to “impact human health” and the risk of more leaks was “very high.”

In a nationally televised statement, Prime Minister Naoto Kan said that radiation has spread from four reactors of the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant in Fukushima province that was one of the hardest-hit in Friday’s 9.0-magnitude earthquake and the ensuing tsunami.

“The level seems very high, and there is still a very high risk of more radiation coming out,” Kan said.

    Hi Honor,

Ya, I got the same report from another source; we’re all having a very late night.

That level of radiation is indeed a cause for concern; it scares the hell outta me.

I have no idea where the team of experts is in relation to their arrival in Japan; I understood that they were ‘on their way’ several hours ago. It’s a long trip, and time is running out.

Between the pressure that continues to build and the hydrogen explosions chipping away at the structures, it seems (and no one can say for sure) that the vessel itself may very well have been breached at 2. I can’t think of any other explanation as to why those rad levels would be so high; no hydrogen explosion or release of steam would get them up that high.

If there is indeed a leak, seawater pumping will have to be fast and continuous; it’s like filling a balloon with water that has several holes in it.

Let’s hope help arrives in time.

Yes, I saw the Nikkei info, but didn’t know about Australia. Maybe Aussie can shed some light on that?

  228. http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2011/03/is_japan_covering_up_a_radiati.html

Some nuclear experts believe that Japan may be covering up the extent of the radiation leak at the Fukushima Daiichi plant. nuclear plant—claiming that their inability to get a radiation reading is a sign of a cover up. “The actions of the Japanese government are completely contrary to their words. They have evacuated 180,000 people but say there is no radiation. They are certain to have readings but we are being told nothing.” said John Large, an independent nuclear engineer… He said a radiation release was suspected “but at the moment it is impossible to know. It was the same at Chernobyl, where they said there was a bit of a problem and only later did the full extent emerge.”

  229. http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2011/03/is_japan_covering_up_a_radiati.html

Documents recently released via WikiLeaks, disclose a conversation in which a high-profile member of Japan’s lower house, tells U.S. diplomats that the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry—the government department responsible for nuclear energy—has been “covering up nuclear accidents and obscuring the true costs and problems associated with the nuclear industry.” In 1995, a sodium leak and fire at Japan’s Monju reactor was suppressed and employees were gagged from talking about the event. And in 2002, the chairman of Tepco, the company which owns the Fukushima plant, resigned after reports revealed that safety records were falsified. “What we are seeing follows a clear pattern of secrecy and denial,” said Paul Dorfman, co-secretary to the Committee Examining Radiation Risks from Internal Emitters, a UK government advisory committee disbanded in 2004.

  234. “Update on Georgia Presidential Eligibility Bill – Part 2”

“MRS. RONDEAU: It would seem that the future of this legislation might determine the future of the country.

REP. HATFIELD: Exactly. I’m concerned because I see that similar legislation has been introduced in other states, but it seems that nothing is happening. In fact, I know a number of those bills in other states are already dead. In Georgia, we have a Republican majority in the House and the Senate, and we have a Republican governor. There’s absolutely no reason that we should not be passing this legislation this year. If we don’t do something, then the bill is going to die.”

are very useful. I draw attention to the comments from Clive Cookson.
Of major concern has been the fire in a 4th reactor. It looks like the fire has been extinguished.
These latest updates indicate that radiation particles are expected to move inland.
The Japanese authorities appear to be managing the checking of people who might have been contaminated. There seems to be ver little effect upon the population so far.
Let’s concentrate on those in imminent danger rather than worrying about what is a remote possibility.

Just for you FOS…..should Paul run….here’s why he will be elected this time around….people weren’t ready for him last time but after the FRAUD….his time has finally come….below are comments to the article about the Ron Paul’s Group Raised $1.1 Million in the Past Month….supporters from the 2008 campaign write the following……

    Blonduxo [Moderator] writes……
“Campaign for Liberty uses his 2008 campaign e-mail list to stay in touch with supporters, conduct issue advocacy, and generally keep the Ron Paul movement alive.” Uh…I do not think Ron has any trouble keeping the movement alive…it is an enigma in and of itself.

There are 699 Campaign for liberty meetups around the world, and many other groups that meet who are liberty lovers and Ron Paul supporters. One should take the time to learn about him as he has cured the apathy of many…see dailypaul.com or RonPaulforums. Find your local group and check them out. Or check him out on youtube…watch the debates from 2008-where history has shown him to be right on- or go back 30 years- he was right then too.

Dr. Ron Paul the rx for what ails America! Real hope for America for the real change we need.

    Robert Timsah [Moderator]
Ron Paul illustrates the power of an intellectual movement. It’s a movement of ideas, not personality and that’s what’s so unique and exciting about it. Sarah Palin and President Obama are all celebrity and very little on substance. Ron Paul is becoming more mainstream than even he realizes.

    Ronald Schoedel [Moderator]
Aside from the money, Ron Paul actually does get votes. He had 10 second place primary finishes and 17 third place finishes. By comparison, early 2008 favorite Guiliani got third place in exactly one state. Ron Paul went to the convention with 21 times as many pledged delegates as Guiliani, and close to 200 “soft” pledged delegates. Of all the potential GOP candidates, only Ron Paul can appeal to non-hardcore right-wingers in the general election. And only Ron Paul will hold Obama accountable in the debates for his failures and broken promises thus far, as all the other GOP candidates agree with Obama’s policies for the most part.

THESE ARE ALL GREAT COMMENTS AND WHY I’M PUTTING MY MONEY ON PAUL THIS TIME AROUND!!!

That’s a shocking statement by a former candidate for president.

Does he really think the press is that good – and that unbiased?

Not only did the press ignore all questions about Obama’s eligibility throughout the 2008 campaign, but they have systematically ridiculed the idea that any questions remain – even to the point of lying.

Take, for example, this recent dispatch from the Associated Press, the largest news-gathering organization in the world.”

  238. OBAMA FULFILLING THE BIBLE

Can you guess which Bible verses Barack Hussein Obama likes to avoid?
Proverbs 19:10 (NIV): “It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury – how much worse for a slave to rule over princes!”
Also Proverbs 30:22 (NIV) which says that the earth cannot bear up under “a servant who becomes king.”
And Ecclesiastes 5:2-3 (KJV) advises: “let thy words be few…a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words.”
Although Obama is not descended from slaves, he may feel that he’s destined to become a black-slavery avenger.
Or maybe an enslaver of all free citizens!
For some stunning info on Pres. Obama and his fellow subversives, Google “Michelle Obama’s Allah-day,” “Obama Supports Public Depravity,” “David Letterman’s Hate Etc.,” “Un-Americans Fight Franklin Graham” and also “Sandra Bernhard, Larry David, Kathy Griffin, Bill Maher, Joan Rivers, Sarah Silverman.” Also Google “Prof. F. N. Lee’s ISLAM IN THE BIBLE [PDF].”
PS – Since Christians are commanded to ask God to send severe judgment on persons who commit and support the worst forms of evil (see I Cor. 5 and note “taken away”), Christians everywhere should constantly pray that the Lord will soon “take away” or at least overthrow all US leaders who continue to sear their conscience and arrogantly trample the God-given rights of the majority including the rights of the unborn. Do we need a second American Revolution?
PPS – For a rare look at the 181-year-old endtime belief which has long neutralized millions of American patriots by promising them an “imminent rapture” off earth – which has diverted them away from being prepared to stand against all enemies, domestic as well as foreign – Google “Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty,” “Pretrib Rapture Diehards,” “Edward Irving is Unnerving,” “Pretrib Rapture Secrecy,” and “Pretrib Rapture – Hidden Facts” – all by the author of the bestselling nonfiction book “The Rapture Plot” (the most accurate documentation on the pretrib rapture’s long hidden birth in Britain in 1830 – see Armageddon Books). Also Google “Stamping Out Harold Camping.”

This interview with the woman facing court tomorrow in DC should make every TRUE AMERICAN LIVID……when will we storm DC and stay there until these corrupt A-HOLES have their wings clipped??? I can’t stand it….UNBELIEVABLE!!!

    http://www.thepostemail.com/2011/03/14/another-obama-opponent-headed-for-jail/

    The Interview

Sher: Theresa, it’s been good getting to know you over the past few days. What you are now fighting is a government regime that appears to become more dictatorial every day. Although multiple US Constitutional issues are in motion, this seems to predominantly be an issue of First Amendment Free Speech rights. I understand that after your first court appearance your court-appointed attorney April Downs told you to take a plea deal. Can you tell the readers how Ms. Downs presented it to you?

Theresa: On February 8, 2011, when Judge Marisa Demeo appointed April L. Downs as my court appointed Public Defender, she suggested I pursue a “Stet” Docket. I, at that time, indicated to her that I would like to pursue my case based on my Constitutional rights. It turns out that a “Stet” Docket and the “FTO” (AKA First Time Offender) were new Plea Deals from the Prosecutor’s Office–offered on March 7, 2011 at my 10:30 a.m. appointment with Attorney Downs.

In essence, Attorney Downs stated in both instances that these Plea Deals would not implicate my case as “Guilty” but would be considered “Not Guilty”; but it would include 40 hours of community service, and 6-9-12 months of probation, with my promise of “Good Behavior.” Last but not least, I would NOT be able to speak about my Constitutional rights; specifically, the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth Amendment rights, AKA the Bill of Rights.

Attorney Downs wanted me to believe that the “FTO” was different from the “Stet” Docket. I had to connect the dots, so to speak, after the fact after my appointment with her on March 7, 2011. Thus, there is a question of fraud and collusion with the Prosecutor and the Judge to threaten to “Shut [me] Up” and thereby not pursue my Constitutional rights–the Supreme Law of the Land–and not just in theory, but as the basis of our Republic form of Government.

This specific example of corruption and fraud, being one of a few other examples that implicates Attorney Downs, is an integral part of the corrupted judicial system. I shall offer other examples of Attorney Downs’s collusion with the anti-Constitutional system, below.

Sher: Considering the fact that Marxist Code Pink and Cindy Sheehan have disrupted the US House of Representatives on multiple occasions–with only escorts out of the building–how shocked were you that you seemed to be targeted and singled out for arrest?

Theresa: Here are the other examples of Attorney Downs’s collusion with the anti-Constitutional system. I asked Attorney Downs specifically to research what has taken place with Code Pink at our initial meeting on February 8, 2011, giving her over one month to find out information for me. But she did not do her job. Her response to my following up with her on this detail was “ho-humming” and beating around the bush–until she said something to the effect that she didn’t recall that question. Then she later remembered that I did ask her and responded asking how can she find out any information if there were no arrests made?! She did not do her job…period. So, to date, I still have to do some research on this specific issue.

I will be pursuing this matter of “Arrest” in both my “Motion to Dismiss” as well as preparing for my Court Trial–should that be the direction of my Criminal Misdemeanor case.

Sher: You said you plan to go to trial, but that the judicial system is warning you to take their plea deal–which strongly appears to be a direct infringement upon your free speech. How do you plan to proceed?

Theresa: Plan One: I plan to file a “Motion to Dismiss” based on my Constitutional rights, on Monday, March 14, 2011, the day before my court hearing date scheduled for the following day, March 15, 2011.

The reason for this late date for filing the “Motion to Dismiss” was due to the fact that Attorney April L. Downs, the Public Defender assigned to me by Obama’s court appointed Judge Marisa Demeo, stated that I could not file the stated Motion prior to my court hearing.

One of two of my advisers/sources, Margy and Jack Flynn, from the website americancitizensoftheconstitution.com, although not attorneys per se but who are students of the Constitution of the United States, have advised me that I can file for the Motion prior to the court date. It should be noted that my advisers did bring to my attention [to the fact] that I could file the Motion prior to my court hearing, which was prior to my meeting with Attorney Downs earlier this week on March 7, 2011. The Flynns have been key instruments in assisting me with learning about my inherent, God-given Constitutional rights.

My other sources/advisers, come from the website avoiceforchildren.com. Pamela and Will Gaston, who penned the book “Sui Juris: The Truth in Record A Process For the People to Access the Court,” is an essential resource for all American Citizens who are currently involved in the corrupted U.S. Court system to stand upon their unalienable, God-given, Constitutional rights.

Pamela and Will Gaston have paid a very high price (which Pamela paid with her life, while serving prison time), paving the way, to teach us how to defend ourselves without the corrupted attorneys who supposedly are on our side; the entire judicial system is pursuing enacting Shariah law in place of the Constitution of the U.S., which is current news as of two weeks ago. And since December 2008, the Treasury Department of the U.S. has taught Shariah Law 101 and installed Shariah Laws into our Constitutional system.

Please tell your family and friends and all American Citizens everywhere of these two sources of mine noted above by which we can win, case by case, against this prevailing wicked and corrupt system. We must be brave and courageous! We can no longer be subservient to the New World Order system! We must stand and defend our own cases, without so-called attorneys, if they will not defend the Supreme Law of the Land!

“We the People” must actively defend our Constitutional rights and not back down to the corrupted system that utilizes the “Attorneys-Judge-Bar Association‘s” corrupted, anti-Constitutional system to “terrorize” defendants into taking a “Plea Deal;” so that we do not pursue our cases based on the Supreme Law of the Land–the Constitution of the United States. “Plea Deals” force the American people to admit “Guilt” and thus succumb to the pretentious, anti-Constitutional rights, when in fact the judicial system has infringed upon our unalienable, God-given Constitutional rights.

Plan Two: Dismiss Attorney April L. Downs from my case because she has not done her homework for my case, has misled me concerning my options (given by the Prosecutor’s office) and is still indicating that I should take the FTO [First Time Offender] offer. Other details, also, lead me to believe that she does not want to defend me based on my Constitutional rights; even though she says I still have the final choice by Tuesday, March 15, 2011, to decide the direction of the case.

I may request that Judge Marisa Demeo assign me another court-appointed Public Defender due to the negligence of Attorney April L. Downs. I am not definite on this matter; I may just want to have a trial scheduled.

Plan Three: If Judge Marisa Demeo refuses to abide by the Constitution of the U.S. and the Bill of Rights by not dismissing my Criminal Misdemeanor Charge/Case, then I will ask for a Trial by Jury based on Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Amendments.

Sher: Thanks so much, Theresa, and I’m hoping for as many people as possible to show up at the courthouse to support you on this tomorrow.

ALERT: Patriot Raided by SWAT Under Patriot Act

  247. Cabby, you are right to be upset.

I will reiterate what has been happening with those reactors:

    1. In the case of the first two reactors that exploded there has been a negligible amount of radiation detected. The explosions were caused by a build up of hydrogen. the outer shell of the reactor was damaged but the inner core was undamaged.

    2. There has been a third reactor that has had an explosion. This one was a bit more serious and it is not certain if there was damage. On top of the third reactor, there has been a 4th where there has been a fire. It does appear that there are higher levels of radiation coming from these two reactors.

    3. When the quake hit the reactors went into shut down. However, the rods need to be cooled down after the shut down. What went wrong? The emergency generators were placed on low lying land behind the walls that were not supposed to be breached by a tsunami. However, the water was higher than expected and the generators were knocked out. This left the battery operated generators and they only had a life of 8 hours. This was only the start of the difficulty. In the first two reactors they were able to keep the water flowing and after the explosions things started to cool down. For these two generators there is no real risk of any further melt down.

    4. The 3rd and 4th reactors are another story. In the case of the 3rd reactor the rods were exposed for 140 minutes. This means that it is more than likely that there was a small melt down in the third reactor. Also, it is the third reactor where there is a higher radiation that has been indicated. The levels are still low but are now at the point where humans can be harmed by the radiation. More information is required about the condition of both of these reactors.

I am pointing this out because initially there was no real danger from the reactors but that changed when reactor 3 exploded.

It is highly unlikely that this will be another Chernobyl. The type of reactor is different plus the housing of the Japanese reactors is more stable. At least for the first two incidents there was no damage to the inner structure.

I should point out that the map which shows radiation moving towards the USA has been disavowed by nuclear experts. I have already posted links on this subject.

“Once the shutdown occurred, even on the first day, we were really not talking about meltdown … what we’re talking about is overheating and damage of the cladding of the core.

“(And) at the moment, the fundamental nuclear protection hasn’t been violated at any of these reactors.”

Wow the perfect storm , while the US focus is on the tragedy in Japan.
By Thursday this week Congress will quitely fund $100 billion+ for the implementation of Obamacare.

  254. Bill Cutting

Might as well start calling each other comrade………….

[Now that it has become clear that the current Continuing Resolution will help cement Obamacare in place — by establishing a $105 billion permanent funding mechanism — the House leaders still refuse to excise the diabolical spending measure.

In other words, they’re violating their first promise to you, the electorate that put them in office]

  255. Bill Cutting

The new law attempts to bypass the normal appropriations process, another feature that makes defunding more difficult. By making advance appropriations for tens of billions of dollars up to the year 2019, these provisions of Obamacare seek to remove spending decisions from the reach of the current Congress and from future Congresses and Presidents. Although Obamacare was not pitched to the public as a mandatory spending entitlement, the details of the legislation reveal an intent to block any future Congress from controlling Obamacare’s spending.

The possibility of a full-blown nuclear meltdown of one or more of the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear reactors seems to increase by the hour. Millions of weary Japanese citizens are desperately hoping that the worst case scenario does not play out. A major nuclear disaster is the last thing that they need at this point. So could radiation from a meltdown of one or more of the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear reactors reach the United States? Unfortunately, the answer is yes.

Mikan in Tokyo writes: “There is a growing sense that the Japanese government is not telling us the true story. On one end, there is the Japanese media that plays down the nuclear drama and focuses on human drama, and at the other, the foreign media is up-playing the nuclear disaster. In my company I heard at least half the essential staff is being sent to Hong Kong, Singapore or even Sydney. I am preparing to leave Tokyo and/or Japan. So are many of my friends. There is a sense of deserting Tokyo as soon as possible.”

Radiation Levels Shoot Up In Tokyo, Vicinity

TOKYO (Kyodo)–Radiation levels shot up in Tokyo and its vicinity Tuesday following the nuclear accident at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant in northeastern Japan that was triggered by last week’s massive earthquake and subsequent tsunami, local governments said.

  259. http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/03/15/us-japan-nuclear-health-idUSTRE72E2JF20110315

(Reuters) – Radioactive materials spewed into the air by Japan’s earthquake-crippled nuclear plant may contaminate food and water resources, with children and unborn babies most at risk of possibly developing cancer.

TOKYO (Reuters) – Japan faced a potential catastrophe on Tuesday after a quake-crippled nuclear power plant exploded and sent low levels of radiation floating towards Tokyo, prompting some people to flee the capital and others to stock up on essential supplies.

Although the mainstream media and government officials continue to downplay potential dangers to our country, a number of experts are beginning to come out with warnings that say otherwise.

  276. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20110314/pl_afp/japanquakenuclearuswestcoasthealth

Japan is some 5,000 miles (8,000 kilometers) from the US West Coast, and nearer to Alaska in the north. Some experts suggest that, blown along by the fast-moving jet stream, radioactivity could reach north America in 36 hours.

“The worst case scenario is .. the fuel rods fuse together, the temperatures get so hot that they melt together in a radioactive molten mass that bursts through the containment mechanisms, said nuclear expert Joe Cirincione.

“Some of the radioactivity could carry in the atmosphere to the West Coast of the US,” added Cirincione, head of anti-nuclear group Ploughshares Fund.

He cited the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster to underline how far radioactivity can travel.

“The radioactivity spread around the entire northern hemisphere,” from the devastated Ukrainian plant, he said.

Harvey Wasserman, a senior adviser to environmental group Greenpeace in the US added that after Chernobyl “fallout did hit the jet stream and then the coast of California, thousands of miles away, within ten days.

“It then carried all the way across the northern tier of the United States,” he said.

In a brief morning address to the nation Prime Minister Naoto Kan pleaded for calm but warned that radiation that had leaked earlier had already spread from the crippled reactors and that there was “a very high risk” of further leakage.

The sudden turn of events, after an explosion Monday at one reactor and then an early-morning explosion Tuesday at yet another — the third in four days at the plant — already made the crisis at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station the worst nuclear accident since the Chernobyl reactor disaster a quarter century ago.

  282. Morning, All,

Not looking good this morning for Japan.

We’ve gotten word that the water being pumped into Reactor 2 is boiling; this means that the temperature is increasing, and no matter how much water is pumped in, at these temps it will turn to steam and do nothing to cool the fuel. If this is so, it’s an uncontrolled (and uncontrollable) nuclear reaction.

Now, there’s a skeleton crew working in short shifts due to potential for radiation exposure. If Reactor 2 goes, they’ll all go, as it will be impossible to gain control of the other reactors with no personnel on hand to keep on trying to save the other reactors. The entire complex will have to be abandoned. Fast.

Not trying to be an alarmist, but this is what my boss is getting right now.

Pray for a miracle. I think we’re at that point right now.

Hacker Group Anonymous Brings Peaceful Revolution to America: Will Engage in Civil Disobedience Until Bernanke Steps Down

    by Tyler Durden
    ZeroHedge

The world’s most (in)famous hacker group – Anonymous – known for effectively shutting down their hacking nemesis security firm (with clients such as Morgan Stanley and, unfortunately for them, Bank of America) – HBGary, advocating the cause of WikiLeaks, and the threat made by one of its members that evidence of fraud by Bank of America will be released on Monday, has just launched communication #1 in its Operation “Empire State Rebellion.” The goal – engage in “a relentless campaign of non-violent, peaceful, civil disobedience” until Ben Bernanke steps down and the “Primary Dealers within the Federal Reserve banking system be broken up and held accountable for rigging markets and destroying the global economy effective immediately.”

    The Anonymous manifesto:

    * We are a decentralized non-violent resistance movement, which seeks to restore the rule of law and fight back against the organized criminal class.
    * One-tenth of one percent of the population has consolidated wealth in unprecedented fashion and launched an all-out economic war against 99.9% of the population.
    * We are not affiliated with either wing of the two-party oligarchy. We seek an end to the corrupted two-party system by ending the campaign finance and lobbying racket.
    * Above all, we aim to break up the global banking cartel centered at the Federal Reserve, International Monetary Fund, Bank of International Settlement and World Bank.
    * We demand that the primary dealers within the Federal Reserve banking system be broken up and held accountable for rigging markets and destroying the global economy, effective immediately.
    * As a first sign of good faith we demand Ben Bernanke step down as Federal Reserve chairman.
    * Until our demands are met and a rule of law is restored, we will engage in a relentless campaign of non-violent, peaceful, civil disobedience.
    * In our next communication we will announce Operation Empire State Rebellion.

    **************************************
The last thing we need right now is a psychological disorder influencing statements of opinion. We need sane, sensible, well-thought out information that is reliable, not some hyperbole from the typical fear-mongers that spread over the internet like fleas on a dog.

Another thing we must not forget, and it is tragic to even have to interject this at such a difficult, horrendous time for our Japanese friends: Our enemies never waste a good crisis and they seem to be making hay over this to discourage future nuclear power development. Don’t doubt that for one minute!

All of the info coming over the MSM is NOT pure, unadulterated fact. As I mentioned before, this Joe Cirincione that has been interviewed is president of Ploughshares Fund, which is an organization funded by none other than George Soros, who is not a friend of the USA. Cirincione is just one of several who are being consulted that have an agenda against proliferation of nuclear power. This is THEIR moment of opportunity to nix future nuclear development. Listen with discrimination and discernment. Don’t automatically buy into everything that is “out there.”

What we can agree on is that God’s help and power is needed now to give wisdom and to care for those brave Japanese. They exemplify a calm and patience that we would do well to emulate.

The atomic emergency now rates at six on a seven-point scale of gravity, making it worse than the 1979 accident at Three Mile Island, the French nuclear watchdog said Tuesday.

Paxson, what really troubles me is the fact that there are so many patriots who are following every pied piper out there. It seems to matter little what the consequences of certain actions would be – just bang away at anything that tickles the fancy for the moment.

These folks could end up being one of our greatest threats to the restoration of the Republic, because they attempt to neutralize the voices of those who have given thought to responsible action. Does anyone doubt that the defunct cRAP movement which was pushed so much last year has somewhat hurt our cause? If nothing else, the energy of many was diverted into useless endeavors and wasted effort. Besides that, the progressives just laugh all the more at our apparent foolishness and divisiveness.

  323. OMG, I think our boy has finally outed himself. Read through some of the posts above. It is now obvious that he is an econutsie plant to sabotage important discussions on energy independence.

One of the WORST FEARS (on a global basis, as opposed to the Japanese people) is that wackos would seize on this disaster and set back any nuclear energy initiatives by decades. The impact on the World Economy would be outrageously enormous. The impact on World and especially USA energy independence would be outrageously enormous.

While it is true that Obama is a Dufus (at best) and AntiAmerican (most likely) in squashing Oil and Coal in the USA, those fossil fuels are not enough. We need Nuclear Energy also.

The reaction to pizz on Nuclear Energy plays DIRECTLY into the hands of our existential enemies – the Islamic (Caliphate! Jihad!) oil-producing countries. So our ‘friend’ has finally revealed on whose side he is, after all.

After the immediate aspects of this strategy have played out, the proper response is to analyze and see what can be learned. Then proceed ahead – using all available means for Energy Independence.

ENERGY DEPENDENCE IS THE #1 PROBLEM/ISSUE IN USA!

Many other “popular” problems are secondary to, or a result, of that.

    GOD KEEP US SANE!

Fed to meet as risks to the economy are growing
Central bank will debate to continue with bond purchases to maintain growth

WASHINGTON — Higher oil and food prices. Unemployment near 9 percent. Crises in the Middle East and Japan.

The U.S. economy faces threats at home and abroad that have the potential to dull growth or stoke inflation. Or both.

When they meet Tuesday, Chairman Ben Bernanke and his Federal Reserve colleagues will debate those risks. At the top of their agenda is whether to make any changes to the Fed’s $600 billion Treasury bond-purchase program, which is set to expire at the end of June. The bond purchases are intended to help the economy by keeping long-term interest rates down, encouraging spending and driving up stock prices.

Economists think the Fed will agree Tuesday to maintain the pace and size of the bond purchases. But the risks for the economy will likely complicate Bernanke’s efforts to forge consensus.

The Fed chief and a majority of his colleagues argue that the economy still needs support from the bond purchases, especially with unemployment still high and home prices in many areas depressed.

But a vocal minority on the Fed has raised concerns that the bond purchases, combined with higher prices for food, fuel and other commodities, will spread inflation through the economy. They also say they worry that the purchases could feed speculative buying that could inflate new bubbles in the prices of stocks or other assets.

Charles Plosser, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, has said he may push for an early end to the bond-buying program. And Richard Fisher, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, has said he might push to scale back the bond purchases.

A contentious debate is expected Tuesday. If, as expected, Bernanke prevails and the Fed decides to keep the bond-buying program intact, Plosser and Fisher might dissent.

“The recent spike in oil prices makes the Fed’s job that much more difficult,” said Victor Li, associate professor of economics at Villanova School of Business. “The Fed’s hope is that rising prices and inflation will accompany sustained and robust economic growth. However, rising energy prices may lead to a situation of stagflation: higher inflation and lower growth.”

Upheaval in the Middle East has sent oil and gasoline prices up. A sustained run-up in those prices could cause Americans to reduce spending on other items and slow the economy.

Bernanke has predicted that rising oil prices will cause only a brief and slight rise in consumer inflation. But he’s warned that any prolonged surge in oil prices would pose a danger to the recovery. Other potential risks have emerged, from a slowdown in U.S. growth to renewed worries about Europe’s debt problems to economic effects from the earthquake and nuclear crisis in Japan.

When the Fed last met in late January, optimism about the U.S. recovery was rising. Fed officials predicted the economy would grow at a faster pace this year — between 3.4 percent and 3.9 percent. Even so, unemployment would stay elevated — at best dropping only to 7.7 percent by the end of 2012.

Fortified by tax cuts, Americans are spending more. Retail sales grew strongly in February, marking the eight straight monthly increase. Businesses are hiring more. The unemployment rate has fallen nearly a full percentage point in just three months — the sharpest drop in a generation.

Still, some economists are now lowering their forecasts for growth in the first three months of this year because they think high energy prices will slow consumer spending. JPMorgan Chase now predicts growth in the January-March quarter of just 2.5 percent, down from 3.5 percent. It’s also lowered its projection for the April-June quarter.

Economist Michael Feroli at JPMorgan Chase Bank thinks the Fed will stick with its bond-buying program to further aid the economy. But he also says the Fed might express more concern about the prospect of higher inflation.

Once the recovery is more firmly cemented, the Fed will start boosting interest rates and taking other steps to soak up the money it pumped into the economy during the financial crisis and recession.

Feroli doesn’t think the Fed will start boosting rates until the end of 2012. Others think it will start raising rates early next year.

The central bank’s key interest rate has been at a record low near zero since December 2008. An increase in that rate would boost lending rates charged to consumers. These include rates on certain credit cards, home equity loans and some adjustable-rate mortgages.

He created a panel Friday to recommend ways to dispose of used nuclear fuel and is expected Monday to propose tripling loan guarantees for new plant construction.

But here at home, concern is mounting whether U.S. nuclear power plants, like San Onofre in northern San Diego county, and Diablo Canyon on the central coast… could withstand similar natural disasters.

Officials say there is no cause for concern. The San Onofre plant is built to withstand a 7.0 earthquake, far more powerful than the 6.5 temblor scientists predict could strike, according to Gil Alexander of Southern California Edison, the generation station’s operator.

Still, Japanese officials had also assumed their plants would hold up as well.

“It does tell us our assumptions about safety may be wrong,” said Victor Galinsky, former commissioner of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, “and I think we really need to go back and take a look at our systems to make sure our assumptions are still valid.”

Phil Moffett has a message for Washington DC: Stop Trespassing in Kentucky. Nullify Federal Regulations

    Louisville, KY – March 15, 2011

Nullification: Get the Federal Government off Kentucky Farms

Kentucky’s Tea Party candidate for governor Phil Moffett calls on Governor Beshear to declare a right of nullification against unconstitutional power grabs from Washington DC. We need a “Kentucky revolution” against Federal regulations. Simply put, “Nullification of Federal agencies” means NO trespassing in Kentucky.

“Protecting Kentucky’s farmers, producers, and consumers from suffocating Federal regulations that kill jobs is imperative if we are to revive our economy,” Moffett said. “Soaring food prices make this a state of emergency. Kentuckians are more capable of taking care of themselves than far-off bureaucrats and it’s time to get the FDA, DEA and Dept. of Agriculture off our farms and defend Kentucky against this Federal choke-hold.”

In the Kentucky Resolutions of 1798, Thomas Jefferson was the first to introduce nullification in response to a Federal attack on the great state of Kentucky. Jefferson said, “Whensoever the general government assumes undelegated powers….a nullification of the act is the rightful remedy.” Kentucky must again nullify. In the tradition of Jefferson, Phil Moffett is here to carry the banner of liberty forward for Kentucky once again. With Moffett’s leadership we will say NO to the Federal government when it claims powers not granted to them in the Constitution.

“The Tea Party is up in arms. The Federal government is spending and regulating us to economic death. Even with a $1.5 trillion deficit on the table Washington has only proposed $61 billion in cuts. If Washington isn’t going to cut the spending, we’re going to have to stop Washington ourselves by eliminating redundant and unconstitutional Federal departments. For example, Kentucky has its own department of Agriculture, so there is no need to pay for an additional Federal agency to do the same job. Kentucky needs real leadership to stop the madness and as governor I intend to give the tea party platform real teeth,” said Moffett. “The Tea Party message to Washington D.C. is very clear – We don’t need the Federal government in our daily lives. We are free and capable people. We can take care of ourselves.”

Nullifying the Federal regulatory agencies off our farms will incentivize the multi-billion dollar organic and natural food industries to invest in Kentucky — a move that would bring more jobs and more choices to our state. One such crop currently blocked by the DEA is industrial hemp. Right now we are importing industrial hemp products into the U.S. from 31 western industrialized countries including Canada worth hundreds of millions of dollars in textiles, clothing, fabrics, oils, rope, pet products and many other goods. We are needlessly exporting jobs and dollars that could be in the pockets of Kentuckians.

Regardless of what the Federal government says about industrial hemp, We only need to look at the success of the Canadian industrial hemp industry. We must bring this untold million dollar industrial hemp industry (and others) to our state and stop the Federal government’s stranglehold on Kentucky’s economy.

“Inspired by Thomas Jefferson, I’m calling on Kentucky and the Tea Party for their support in our fight” said Moffett. “As Governor, I will ensure Kentucky farmers economic opportunities, defend state sovereignty, and promote self reliance.”

Russian military prepares for nuclear fallout

China became the first government to issue a mass evacuation order of all its citizens from the entire north east of Japan late last night.

Austria followed suit by announcing it would be moving its embassy from Tokyo to Osaka, over 250 miles (400 kilometers) away, due to radiation concerns. France and Finland have also urged their citizens to leave Tokyo and either move to the South of Japan or get out of the country altogether.

The Czech military has reportedly sent in planes to evacuate its nationals, While Russia says it is preparing to remove all of its soldiers and civilians from the Kuril islands, which are disputed with Japan.

Inside Russia, in the Far East of the country, military units are reportedly preparing to evacuate towns on concerns of nuclear fallout, while residents are rushing to buy iodine pills.

Reuters reports that several multinational companies have also issued evacuation orders, yet American based companies, including JP Morgan and Citigroup banks have refrained from doing so because they are following guidance by the U.S. embassy, which has not urged nationals to leave Tokyo.

  393. Hi All,

Having trouble loading CW’s blog due to the high number of comments, and a less-than-stellar computer.

Left work early today, but I got this from one of our emergency planners just before noon.

This is the NRC’s (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) site and they do have timely articles about what’s happening. They also take comments:

Please read through to find out what we’re doing to help. Two ‘boiling water reactor experts’ were sent to Japan on Saturday (they’ve arrived) and a team of 8 more are due to arrive on Wednesday.

I’d suggest that you check this site rather than rely on obscure sites that may not be telling the public the truth about what’s going on.

  394. da verg | March 15, 2011 at 12:26 pm |

Da verg, I hope that someone actually read what you wrote. My guess is that you are about 75% correct in what you have stated.

    My reasoning is as follows:
    1. when the quake hit the operating nuclear plant did in fact shut down.
    2. the disaster has been created by the placing of the generators on low lying land.
    3. The steel housing withstood the earthquake. The concrete housing was damaged by the hydrogen explosions.

The present crisis seems to be caused by the fact that the rods were exposed for 140 minutes in reactor no 2, and on top of that there appears to be damage in the pool underneath.

I would suggest that the GE built reactors have done their job as they were meant during an earthquake but there was an ill-preparedness for a tsunami of that size. The protecting wall was breached and the generators were knocked out. So yes they had an inadequate backup system for a powerful earthquake and tsunami.

  395. Aussie,

Could you please provide us with links to support your claim that the “reactors are quite safe and there is no threat of fallout in the US?”

  399. Does anyone here know anything about this? Found at Lucianne.com.

In view of the many problems of drilling for oil, burning coal, the expense of wind power and the threat of meltdowns in nuclear reactors, it is time to let you know:

THERE IS A NEW SOURCE OF ENERGY!

It is called the Energy Catalyzer or E-CAT.

It was invented and developed by Dr. Andrea Rossi of the ‘Leonardo’ Corporation.

The E-CAT uses Hydrogen and Nickel.

    The waste product is Copper.

No Carbon Dioxide is produced. Only X-rays and low energy Gammas are produced (under 300 KeV) which are easily shielded.

Ask your senators and congressmen to study and enable its use in the US.

First installation will be in Athens Greece this October.

Why are you posting disinformation, Aussie?

  401. ms.helga | March 15, 2011 at 3:31 pm |

There is no shortage of energy in the US. All the supposed “shortages” were created by bo and his cohorts.

  402. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ac/20110315/tr_ac/8065482_fukushima_disaster_cast_doubts_on_south_texas_nuclear_project_expansion_1

HOUSTON — The unfolding nuclear disaster in Japan in the wake of one of the most devastating earthquakes and tsunamis in world history has reached across the Pacific and has cast doubt on the planned expansion of the South Texas Nuclear Project near Houston.

  403. some interesting facts and assessments to be found here:
    http://bravenewclimate.com/2011/03/15/thinkclimate-nuclear/

  404. The nuclear site expert who called in to Rush’s program today (and with whom Rush appeared to agree) stated that companies such as GE build according to the requirements of the client. He stated that Japan was the one who miscalculated, asking only for a build with requirements for much less than what this catastrophe required and that was what was built for them. The failing sites (at least a portion of them) were built some 40 years ago and were ready for shut down this year, 2011. He said that the sites held up pretty well for the much lower standards that were required by Japan at the time they were built. He said that it was the tsunami size that complicated things rather than just the quake itself. So Japan miscalculated and he said that you can’t compare other sites elsewhere built by same company to what happened there….unless of course other miscalculations are made.

  405. A good way to determine the truth is to find out what disinformation bo, the bo regime and the obots are putting out and believe the opposite of the obot disinformation.

Did I state that there weren’t????
In ongoing science discovery as in other human endeavors, hindsight is always 20/20. And whole cities have been built on fault lines for decades – even after a history of catastrophes of that realm. Ah, the many factors that always are a part of any human undertaking … most especially the bureaucracy and the financial limitations of the moment….as well as the always present unexpected future conditions, some of which can never be calculated. Another big unfortunate of the moment is the real dearth of leadership in most countries and the broken financial systems for aid.

  413. After obot FOS was outed and banned under the username of citizen carlyle he came back under several different alias. So I doubt obot FOS will be gone for long but he is easy to identify and out.

  414. CW,
Is there any way that you can rein in 2 posters here? I hate to say ban them, but maybe pull them aside and explain some basic rules of public discourse and common courtesy? In fact, if you published a list of basic ground rules for behavior, I’m sure most here would have no problem abiding by them. It sure would make our experience here a lot more pleasant. It would also save a lot of time and band width (especially if you limited repeat posting).
I am not saying that I have not participated in rude behavior…I have. One particular case (Sam Sewell) still makes me feel bad, even though I apologized. But it is usually because I feel the necessity to defend myself against the knee-jerk name callers, simply for disagreeing with them. And sometimes you don’t even have to disagree with them… you only have to agree with an opinion by someone else they don’t like. I have been called an obot and a pea brain multiple times by these 2. Others here have been called far worse names, and these are reasonable, well informed people who contribute a lot to your blog. If these 2 are permitted to carry on the way they do, you may experience an exodus…a brain drain…and then people like me will leave too, because all that will be left are the ego-maniacal know-it-alls who contribute nothing! (Funny isn’t it, how these 2 resemble BHO in that respect… will the real obot please stand up?).
I came here to learn. But sanity and reason are being drowned out.

  415. Observer,

It is not a matter of hindsight. Scientists knew before the GE plants were built that the GE designs were faulty.

It was the generators that were placed in the wrong location and required as the backup that were damaged by a tsunami that breached the wall that was supposed to protect.
The biggest failure was in the reactor which was the last to have an explosion and where it apears that the suppression chamber has been damaged. This was a failure caused by human error which left the rods exposed to the air for 140 minutes. This is the most worrying situation because of the dangers associated with such long exposure of the rods.
