At the moment, the Yen is very strong, so strong that it is killing the Japanese economy. Several times the Japanese Post Office (the equivalent of our social security administration), has intervened to try to make the Yen weaker, so that Japanese exports are more attractive, thereby stimulating the Japanese economy, which is currently in the doldrums, and has been for over 20 years. You see, the Japanese economy is deflationary, so not one buys anything, because if they wait, the price drops. The Japanese has the problem of a ‘lost generation,’ — young people with superb university training, but no jobs.
This is the scenario that the U.S. Fed has taken steps to avoid, and the people who know how things work on a Macro Economic Level know that what they did are the correct steps to avoid deflation.
When you have Gold rising and the Dollar rising, then you have Japan, because that is exactly what has happened between Gold and the Yen. That is called economic stagnation. The dollar needs to fall against the price of Gold, and it hasn’t been — it too is rising! So, we are headed for a Japanese style ‘deflation,’ if we are not careful, along with its ‘lost generation.’
The risk of ‘hyper-inflation’ is small at the moment, because no one is buying, because of high unemployment. As the employment numbers improve, then the Fed simply sells the bonds that it has bought, taking liquidity out of the market. After that, it begins to raise interest rates to take money out of the market. That is how it works.

Then you have not had very much indepth Holy Bible and theological training. The book, “Satan Is Alive & Well On Earth,” by Hal Lindsey is 100% perfectly theologically & biblically acceptable to most mainstream Christian churches today. I have read the book. I recommend this book by Lindsey because it has rare insight and has biblical and prophetic answers for how to deal with evil and Satan in the situation that is happening on earth today.
This book does not say anything that is against the Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran and other mainstream Christian churches Christian biblical and theological teachings. Aussie, you haven’t read this book, and yet you are giving an opinion of the author, and you are refusing to read this book.
I have read the book and it is a great book. From the Christian teachings of
Hal Lindsey that I have either seen or read, I have found his Christian teachings to be biblically sound. I do not know what kind of a lifestyle he lives, so I let God judge his lifestyle. Unfortunately many T.V. evangelists are charlatans and frauds, but not all of them are.

I think Rush Limbaugh needs to increase his security…stay safe, Rush. How Limbaugh (my hero) phrased it about Usurper Obummer was classic. He was talking about a “Taliban” leader Mansour who was given U.S. and NATO money and coaxed to talk with Kharzai (sp?), Pres of Afghanistan, flown into his palace (our version of the WH), to negotiate a peace, and come to find out this Mansour was not with the Taliban at all, and took all the American/Nato “money and ran” in a “Catch me if you Can” scenario. How was this imposter not found out previously, Limbaugh asks? Much the same way as our imposter/usurper presently in the White House. The most dangerous thing I have seen in the last few weeks is the complete disregard for peace and respect that the Chinese have demonstrated. That ICBM fired off California was to make a point not to interfere with them, and they just had N. Korea attack S. Korea. We are looking a big showdown with the China, they have tested Obama and found him weak. Obama has just led the United States, and the world, much closer to the next world war. Do you suppose the Liberal Media can equate the two, or are they really that stupid and blind. I suppose they don’t want to admit they sold the turkey to us, and now it’s causing worldwide instability.

And as far as trade deficits and how to reduce them. There are two ways. One is a free market way, and the other is a socialist way. DIRTBAG: Guess Who Obama Was Traveling With Right Before He Defended Naked TSA Scanners? The CEO of Company That Makes the Scanners Coincidence? Yea right… (idiots)
(Tech Dirt)- As the whole mess with the TSA scanners has received a lot more attention in the last week or so, a few folks are noticing that ex-Homeland Security boss Michael Chertoff, who’s been quite busy defending the naked scanners, happens to be making a ton of money from one of the main ones, Rapiscan, made by OSI, a client of Chertoff’s consulting firm. Of course, similar concerns were brought up a year ago when Chertoff was busy promoting the scanners, but it appears that many in the mainstream press continue to highlight his old Homeland Security title, while downplaying his current role making money from seeing those scanners sold.
However, perhaps even more interesting is the news that President Obama was finally asked to address the whole thing this weekend, and (not surprisingly) defended the scans and the pat downs as “the only [procedures] right now that [the TSA] considers to be effective,” to prevent terrorism (while also admitting that he doesn’t have to go through security to get on airplanes, so he hasn’t experienced the scans.
No surprise there. Of course, what he didn’t mention is that he just got done traveling with the CEO of OSI, the parent company of Rapiscan, the makers of the main naked scanner that is being purchased and put into all these airports. Apparently, OSI CEO, Deepak Chopra (no, not the new agey guy), “was selected to accompany US President, Barack Obama, to Mumbai and attended the US India Business Entrepreneurship meeting…”

I have some girlfriend who had miscarriages-early or thru the 5th month-total devastation, totally heartbroken (husbands) too. Would not want to see any baby put at risk, also could it cause birth defects, since they don’t seem to know too darn much.
If the body scanners employ ionizing radiation (higher frequency electromagnetic radiation) e.g. gamma or X rays, there is absolutely a risk to body tissues, cells, etc. From what I have heard the resolution of these airport full body scans is very high. That would suggest to me, if indeed they use xrays, that the dose is more than one would expect. At greatest risk would be children (with developing cells) and pregnant women, especially in their first trimester for the same reasons. Unfortunately some women don’t even realize they are pregnant for several weeks, sometimes months. I haven’t traveled by air recently, but if you see the TSA workers wearing a dosimeter or radiation badge, (or if they stand behind a lead lined partition when scanning you) that would be a sure sign that they are using xrays. That should be your first clue to opt out of the scan. There is really no safe lower threshold for ionizing radiation. When used in medical and dental procedures, the justification has always been “when used in moderation, the benefit far outweighs the risk”
Prudent avoidance should always be the choice.
I have read where they are using both ionizing and non-ionizing scanners at the different airports. I certainly wouldn’t trust the gov’t or the TSA.

With regard to IONISING RADIATION you NAILED IT. The reason I know this for sure is that I was part of a support group within the 1954 Eniwetok H bomb tests . When you get some time or interest type in Eniwetok>operation Castle> Bravo test into your search engine. Then read all of the hits. Because of the lack of communication, wanton,disregard for safety, and just plain stupidity,the BRAVO test went out of control, and ended up contaminating over 7000 square miles of the South Pacific around the Marshall Islands. I personally received doses of gamma,alpha beta particles,and xrays in excess of 100 roentgens, in addition to inhaling Cesium 137 fallout dust. It carries a half life of over 50 years.Many crewmen of the CVE 115 were literally showered by this fallout without them even knowing it for several hours. Several of the affected crewmen died of multiple forms of cancer before their 50th birthday. Today there is a list of over 23 internal,and external cancers that are caused by LOW DOSE ionising radiation. The most recent discovery implies severe psoriasis can also be caused by such radiation. The radiation causes the T CELLS to run out of control, which generates high levels of plaque. The ionising radiation breaks the DNA strand,and as a result effected cells cannot accurately reproduce themselves. This leads to various cancers being generated instead.
If the TSA wands are emitting RF energy it becomes a cat of a different color.High levels of RF energy can literally fry you to “medium rare” inside and out quite quickly. If the radiation is MAGNETIC then there is much less chance of danger from it. But even a high density magnetic field administered to often can cause complications. MRI scans are often used in determining the cause of certain health issues. Cath scans are also used for essentially the same purpose. They are considered to be safe. So you must know what sort of radiation that you are receiving, and the LEVEL of energy in the radiation. As was the case with the Cesium 137 that I inhaled there was,and even though this occurred 56 years ago the half life of the Cesium 137 could still be potentially dangerous,and still has the potential to break DNA strands. It’s real easy to see that the US Dollar is going UP, not DOWN.
The Japanese WANT to have the weakest currency on the planet, but they have a very strong currency. But, they do not want it so strong, because it is anti-competitive, and leads to high prices fr exports, and massive unemployment at home.
They are constantly intervening in the marketplace to try and get the Yen to weaken, but whenever they try, Japanese senior citizens simply buy up the cheap YEN and put it back into their savings accounts at the Post Office. The Post Office then takes all of the surplus Yen and buy lots of (you guessed it!) — ‘worthless’ US Dollars.
What I am saying, — if I had to trade currencies based upon what some commentator wrote in some article, I’ld be broke in a hurry!
You have to have a very keen eye on what is reality, and what is simply disinformation put out by from someone who wants to pick your pocket.
I’m afraid that is what the article that you put forward for us to read was, bottomline. It was filled with loads of misinformation!

Every time we ladies go for even an X-ray, we’re asked if there’s any chance we could be pregnant. I smell a ton of lawsuits if women (who may not know they’re pregnant) undergo this total invasion of privacy and perhaps lose the baby.
Let’s add a charge of manslaughter in addition to the rest of the charges that will undoubtedly be spawned from this fiasco!
Wow, OldSalt you sure were at the wrong place at the wrong time. The gamma and xrays went right through you and did whatever damage it was going to do as it passed through your body. Although Cs137 has a physical half life of about 30 years, when it is ingested or inhaled, it also exhibits a biologic half life. I believe the biologic half life is about 100 days. Cesium tends to behave like potassium in the body and is excreted from the body in the same way. So basically every 100 days one half of what you ingest is eliminated from your body. After several months, it would virtually be gone. That’s not to underscore the huge exposure you received….I was just trying to ease your mind that the Cs 137 left your body a long time ago.

What I meant was really simple……IF the USD is so solid then why aren’t our debt instruments selling well? Just because the the USD looks a little better than the other fiat currencies in the basket doesn’t mean the dollar is strong….it only means it is less weak than the other currencies in the basket. NOT the same thing as having a strong dollar. Merkel is talking about the debt contagion possibly spreading across Europe. So, if (when) the Euro drops, the USD appears stronger…..but trading the USD on a futures market doesn’t change the financial fundamentals……we’re still in debt, and spending more than we take in.
I just read something about the groping and scanning that makes sense. Actually I hadn’t thought of this because I’ve been reading so much about the porno-scan and groping.
The TSA doesn’t care about our safety. I think that we can all agree, right? Well, say you’re in line and there’s tons of women, children, a few pregnant women, older folks in line awaiting their feel-up. Then it just so happens that someone really does have an explosive device somewhere on their body, and when the TSA gropes that person, it sets it off right there where all these people are. All the children, pregnant women, older folks and the TSA people are killed in the process.

A week or so ago I read the same thing. If it is the type of device that doesn’t need an added component to detonate, it seems entirely possible that such a thing could happen. In fact, the TSA agent wouldn’t necessarily have to accidently set it off, but rather the person being checked could set it off. I wonder if TSA ever thought of that? Hmm……without question this is all about control, not much about real safety.

Can you imagine a couple who spent $100,000.00 on in vitro fertilization or that other scientific designer baby stuff (something I personally would not do-too afraid) finally getting pregnant and this thing causes a miscarriage? They would do much better to study how Israel profiles and become trained. Israel does behavior training so they can recognize something with a person just isn’t quite right. All it takes is a couple of questions and watching the person. They can get a person through all of this in 25 to 30 minutes to catch their flight. And do so without angering their customer.

BTW, I mentioned this before quite a while ago. I was honored to be able to attend an anti-terror seminar back in 2005 in Boston. One of the speakers was Rita Katz, ‘The Terrorist Hunter,’ about whom 60 Minutes did a nice piece a few years prior to the seminar. Rita is an Iraqi Jew, and would don the full burkha (with recording devices under it all) and infiltrate Islamic ‘charities’ which were fronts for money laundering for terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda. That woman had more tennis balls than anyone I’ve ever met in my life.
She described how she was ‘wired’ and I asked her how she felt with all that gear on under the burkha and she said she was petrified that a wire would pop out somewhere and she’d be ‘outed.’ She also told me how easy it was to ‘hide practically anything’ under all that clothing.
Yet, they strip search and assault four year old kids and grannies, while letting the burkha babes slide through?
Any woman who travels by air should just buy herself a full burkha; that’d guarantee no one would bother her with scans or pat downs. She (and whatever else she was carrying) would have her head and shoulders checked only, and then, truck right on down to the gate.

Well, to do profiling here, first off, they would need people to work there who have common sense in order to be trainable. TSA, I don’t think, could be trainable, or at least some of them.
Yeah, they would need to do behavior profiling, plus also profiling looking for the right people, Arabs. But there could also be white people who have joined them, so they would really need to do both. That’s my opinion.

I had to watch The Good Wife because it is filmed in my hometown Chicago, and I like to look at the exteriors to see if I recognize any of the old neighborhoods. Tonight’s episode seemed to be one big roman a clef.

On the tapes-lots of them-all of a sudden a Ruth Yamaguci pops up-so in order to defend their client they tell the government lawyers do you want (due to Ruth) Obama tied to Muslim extremists-the government lawyers freak out and drop it because it was mentioned at the beginning that the government lawyers were going after all corrupt politicians in Chicago because they blew the Blago trial. Along the way the black politician tried to pull the race card but that was blown off. I have to look up this Ruth Yamaguci chick and see what that’s all about. They showed some real interesting crime maps (territory of drug dealers) very near mosque. I wonder if Ridley Scott is trying agitate or what???
Now I’m wondering if Mosques are delivery points for drugs and the charities are just money laundering outfits….

As you say, only common sense would dictate that just about anything could be hidden under those burkhas, and yet apparently those women are getting a pass with only a head and neck pat. ERIC HOLDER BETTER QUIT WHILE HE CAN

Right about now Attorney General Eric Holder should be planning his return to private practice, or someone in the White House should be planning it for him.
Last week (11/17), a jury in Manhattan acquitted Ahmed Ghailani of all but one of 285 counts he was charged with for his role in the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in which 224 people were killed.
Terrorists such as Mr. Ghailani, who was born in Tanzania and was captured in Pakistan, have no business being tried in a U.S. courtroom, afforded the same constitutional protections as are U.S. citizens. Yet Mr. Holder insists they be. More serious than his interference in national security policy, however, are his apparent violations of the law.
Soon enough, without the protection of a Democrat Congress, Attorney General Holder may find himself being prosecuted.

After his humiliating Asian trip — where foreign leaders at the G20 summit in Seoul treated him as if he had a social disease — President Barack Hussein Obama is desperate for something that could be spun as a foreign policy “triumph.”
That’s why he’s pressing so hard to have the Senate ratify in the lame schmuck session the nuclear arms reduction treaty (New START ) he negotiated with Russia last Spring.
This is a bad idea, for several resons, one of which is that he thinks it will further his fantasy of a nuclear free world. A nuclear free United States would be a nightmare for us in a world in which China and Pakistan have the bomb, and North Korea, Iran and Venezuela(!) aggressively are pursuing it. It’s time for Mr. Obama to wake up from his dream and smell the radioactive coffee.

It’s not the 4 year olds, or grannie, or the businessman, it’s MUSLIMS! If that statement makes me a bigot, then so be it. I don’t believe there’s any such thing as a ‘moderate Muslim.’ If you read the Koran, you’ll see that’s so. This is not a religion rather, a movement that borders on a cult, and a violent one, at that. I really don’t think we need to be that concerned about the Norwegians coming to the U.S. on holiday.
Here’s what I think is happening: a la Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, the gub’mint pushes the public a bit then, pushes some more. Eventually, the population reaches a breaking point and what we saw with Mr. Christina from CT (punching the TSA moron in the gut) becomes commonplace. Civil unrest will happen when the population is pushed and pushed, and their freedoms eroded. That’s when ‘they’ step in with their strong arm tactics and perhaps even declare martial law to finish off their agenda. Barky and his puppetmasters’ agenda, that is.
The American people are obviously not buying into it all, so the travesties escalate. Chip, chip, chip away at the American psyche is the plan, I think.
Sorry this all sounds so morbid, but it’s all going according to the plan. It must be stopped, by whatever means possible. Let’s face it, if we were presented with the circumstances and abuses that are happening today oh, let’s say, 20 years ago, we might think we were in a third world country run by a dictator. Are we that far away from that right now? Do we listen to one of the bestest ’80’s hair bands, Rainbow, who sang ‘Can’t Happen Here’ and scratch our heads? Can it happen here? We’re witnessing it.
It’s coming down. It must be stopped. NOW.

Actually, this might surprise you — The Chinese have an untradable or ‘blocked’ currency that is pegged directly to the US dollar. Which means that the US Federal Reserve Bank is ALSO the Chinese US Federal Reserve Bank.
The United States has been working for more than 20 years to get the Chinese to detach their currency from the US Dollar. That is what these ‘currency wars’ have been all about!
The Chinese currency has been held artificially weak for TOO LONG! This is why all of the world’s spare change is going to China, where goods and services are TOO CHEAP. Why? Investors are looking to make money off of WE AMERICANS through the back door.
By taking the action they did — Bernacke and Company told the Chinese — unless you get off using our Dollar, then we will create inflation for YOU! And that is exactly what has happened over the last month, and the Chinese are not very happy about it.
You know who used this tactic the last time? Ronald Reagan against the Evil Empire, causing the Soviet Union to collapse under the Arms race.
The sooner the Chinese disconnect their currency from the US Dollar and allow it to find its true level in the open market, the better it will be for the whole planet. They promised to do it in 2008, and still have not done it!
However, to stem the inflation caused by the US Federal Reserve, the Chinese government order their banks to increase their reserve margins by 50 basis points. Guess what? The US Dollar shot up in value immediately on the news.
The REAL story of what is going on is a whole lot more interesting than all of the huffing and puffing that you reading about in the rags.
The Russian Rouble is worthless as a trading currency, because they have no way to monitor its value outside of Russia. It is a ‘black market’ currency.
Neither the Chinese or the Russians have the ability to manage their currencies, because they are central planners. Only the Brits, the Germans, the Aussies,, the Canadians, and the US have that ability. The Japanese still try to manage thei Yen hands on — and it never works!
