“Representatives of the court confirmed Thursday that the former Illinois governor’s petition to postpone the June 3 trial had been delivered to the chambers of Justice John Paul Stevens.
Lawyers for former Gov. Rod Blagojevich have taken their bid to delay the start of his corruption trial to the U.S. Supreme Court.”
“Blagojevich’s defense team is seeking to delay the trial until after the high court rules on the constitutionality of the “honest services” fraud law by the end of June. Justices have been critical of the law as too ambiguous.”

This week, Big Hollywood and Big Government contributor “Jon David” was profiled in the Wall Street Journal. The acclaimed Hollywood screenwriter and musician has written a song, American Heart, that has been called by many the “tea party anthem.” While many have been touched by the song, most were not aware of what, to us, is the most interesting part of the song’s pedigree; Jon David is a pseudonym. “Jon David” works in Hollywood, after all, where differing points of view are not tolerated. In the WSJ profile, “Jon David” ‘burned his boats’ and outed himself as a Hollywood conservative whose real name is Jon Kahn. Unlike most of us, Jon Kahn has risked his career by simply admitting he’s a conservative. In the United States. In 2010. He may lose some Hollywood “friends”, but we will always have his back.
While I don’t know enough about Justice Stevens,I would think that he would be hesitant to interfere in the scheduling,or venue of the Blagovich trial. However if Stevens does intervene in the scheduling I would think then that he would deeply anger the prosecution,and to a degree instill a “what is the use” attitude in the prosecution which I think would work to heavily diminish the fervor of the prosecution to a level that would equate with NO TRIAL AT ALL from which Blago would walk away a free man. Perhaps this is a deliberate design by his lawyers, because they must know that it would substantially weaken the prosecution’s ability to do a 1st rate job of prosecution. Perhaps I am wrong but I will be waiting to see what Stevens does with it. In the past I have seen case schedules constantly change until the case is nearly forgotten about. Then when they finally do reach the courtroom there is literally zero interest in pursueing it,and it is either plea bargained away,or dismissed outright for lack of evidence. Either way this could get real interesting,and could even be an indicator of things to come with regard to such trials. We have already seen a number of totally justified actions dismissed for a like number of reasons.I personally didnot really see that much wrong with the cases as they were presented, because DISCOVERY would have cleared up,and otherwise clarified the charges. Such actions should have at least allowed SWORN DEPOSITIONS from the plaintiffs. But who cares I AIN’T the 800 lb gorilla in the room,rather just a humble elder stating my view.

It would also seem to me that any laws written by LIBERALS would be a literal “epidemic” of ambiguity, and probably would require a whole panel of justices to even figure out what the law implys. In all probability it will take the Supreme Court FOREVER to make a ruling on the law above and beyond what has already been said…………too ambiguous.
And perhaps this is indeed part of the science behind the attempt to reschedule the Blago trial.

Here’s an interesting note we got from a reader, asking us to start using the term “criminal entrants” instead of “illegal aliens”.
Words have immense power.
The “aliens” always lends itself to cute ET or Roswell green imagery.
The “undocumented workers” garbage the PC-police on the Left keeps trying to push is something we never used for the Mexican reconquista invaders who illegally cross our borders and believe American immigration laws do not apply to them.

I can’t speak for anyone but myself, but I’m mad as hell about the President of Mexico standing before our Congress and “bad-mouthing” Arizona’s immigration laws which are nothing but a mirrored image of our current federal laws, that are not enforced. And have not been enforced during tenure of the past four American presidents.
Calderon reminds me of the little kid who ate all the cookies at school then pointed his finger at the other kids on the playground. The president of Mexico has NO right to complain about any country’s immigration law. Before he does, he should get his own country’s immigration laws corrected first.
It is a felony to be an illegal immigrate in Mexico punishable by 5 years in prison. Every person entering Mexico must have a paper trail following them or they go to jail. They are required to carry them and show them upon request of the authorities. No one but a Mexican citizen can vote in their elections. It is against the law of Mexico to hire anyone but a Mexican for a job. And the restrictions go on and on.
Perhaps people in America don’t know but the ILLEGAL Mexicans in America are sending back to their families in Mexico 15 billion American dollars every year. This source of income to Mexico is second only to oil production for the Mexican economy.
Now everyone wonders why our federal government hasn’t done anything to secure our southern border from this invasion of Mexico. The answer is simple. It’s called “The North American Union”.
Our last 4 presidents have taken their “march orders” from the Council of Foreign Relations and The Trilateral Commission. Those march orders have dictated no borders between Mexico, the USA and Canada.
We are now in the last stages of putting that into action. But, looks like Arizona and most of the southern states will complicate that little deal. If not, Americans should prepare themselves to live a Mexican style life in a government where we the people have no voice in the affairs of our nation.
What really pissed me off when Calderon spoke to our Congress yesterday was to see those damn stupid Democrat weasels give Calderon a standing ovation for tearing down our country. If the Democrats are so happy with what Calderon said, perhaps they should go and live in Mexico and experience the thrill of socialism firsthand.
I’m 75 years old, spent 27 years in the military fighting for the American way of life. Now in my golden years and with a tear in my eye, I am witnessing our way of life being destroyed by a nit-wit, probably foreign born, maybe not even a citizen according to the Constitution, destroy everything our forefathers worked so hard to establish.
This country is rising, our people are mad, and soon all hell will break loose. When this happens, who do we blame?
Do we blame the politicians, both democrat and republican for not looking closer at obama’s record and background, what little is know about the man?
Do we blame the federal courts for not looking at the merits of all the 400 plus cases that have been brought against the usurper claiming that no one had standing to question the elgibility of the man entrusted with our state secrets and had his finger on the nuclear trigger of the country?
Do we blame the main stream media for becoming an arm of the federal government and abandoning their real mission of checking the powers of our government with their freedom of the press?
Do we blame our military for not stepping in when they are witness to seeing our country leaning toward socialism at the best, but most likely communism in reality?
Or is it the duty of the military to follow their clownish CinC Pied Piper lock step off the cliff ? I wonder how a General George Patton, or General Douglas MacArthur would have answered that question?
Or do we have no one to blame but ourselves, We The People for allowing this charade to begin in the first place?
No, each mentioned above must share in the blame, for each has failed in laying down a line of defense against this usurper.
Things are moving at a very fast pace now and something will happen soon. Either we restore our country with a great deal of pain in the process, or we must prepare ourselves to live under a completely different and alien form of government.

The case against Barrack Hussein Obama involves all “Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls” of the United States and of all foreign nations with diplomatic status with the United States. Furthermore, the case against Barrack Hussein Obama involves all States of the United States as parties.
Following much good faith research regarding the issue of original jurisdiction in the Supreme Court of the United States, We the People have found no cases in the history of jurisprudence of the United States of America wherein a Defendant disputed the Constitutional fact that the Supreme Court of the United States has original jurisdiction over “all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls” as plainly stated in the Constitution of the United States, Article III, Section 2.
That being the case, “We the People” respectfully request that the Barack Hussein Obama stipulate to the fact that the Supreme Court of the United States has original jurisdiction over all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls; or, in the alternative, that Barack Hussein Obama show good cause why the Supreme Court of the United States shall not have original jurisdiction

As of today, May 21, 2010, 18 states are planning 1070-style anti-trespass bills of their own. 1070 authors Prof. Kris Kobach and Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce have to be feeling good about the popularity of their bill-now-law not only among Arizonans but among Americans across the country. There would be 30 states by now with mirror bills but for the ACLU class action suit having already been filed. Hopefully, a decision on that frivolous suit will be rendered shortly.

This thing is so popular that to speak out against it is making those who do quite unpopular! Whereas in years past cries of “racial profiling” and “racism” would cause those who might support such a bill to “cower in a corner”, now the worm has turned and it’s the leftists and reconquistas who are reeling! Their cries of “racial profiling” and “racism” are falling on deaf American ears. Why? Because thanks to leaders like Russell Pearce and Governor Brewer in Arizona, Daryl Metcalfe in Pennsylvania and so many others like them–along with the wonderful vehicle of American talk radio–Americans are finding out just how deadly and vicious and detrimental the Invasion by 40 to 50 million foreign nationals (most of them Mexicans) really is. Not just Rob Krentz’ murder by a cowardly illegal alien but also the 25 Americans killed by DUI accidents caused by illegals and murdered daily by illegals across the country, the hundreds of thousands of rapes, child molestations, kidnapping, burglary, battery, the massive document fraud committed by millions of illegals against Americans and our continuing to get them “bennies” while all this is going on! Something had to “crack” and it was Arizona that said “No more!”

Yesterday, CNN’s Jack Cafferty wrote a (racist) column suggesting that SB 1070 is “already working” to stop illegal immigration. His evidence: Mexico recently issued a travel advisory alert warning Mexican citizens that they may be racially harassed if they VISIT (euphemism for crossing the border) Arizona. Touting the usual right-wing propaganda, Cafferty cites the usual, anti-Latino tropes about the illegal immigration “problem”: he thinks all illegal immigrants are Mexican, and all Mexicans are violent, sociopathic drug lords.
That being said — could SB 1070 already be “working”, but in a manner harmful to Arizona’s economy? City officials around the country are joining Congressman Raul Grijalva in calling for an economic boycott of Arizona. And University of Arizona president Robert Shelton sent an email to the campus this morning, saying that campus police will enforce SB 1070 if the law comes into effect. But, Shelton also included the following paragraphs in his statement:
We have already begun to feel an impact from SB1070. The families of a number of out-of-state students (to date all of them honors students–yeah, right) have told us that they are changing their plans and will be sending their children to universities in other states. (watch out Michigan, Connecticut)
This should sadden anyone who cares about attracting the best and brightest students to Arizona.(now, there’s more financial aid for bright, Arizona students)
Additionally, large numbers of UA students, faculty (illegals teaching illegals???), staff and appointed professionals have expressed concerns that they or members of their families or their friends may now be subject to unwarranted detainment by police. Many of these individuals are from families that have been residents of Arizona for generations. While I am completely confident that no one need fear the way that UAPD will approach the application of this law, I nevertheless appreciate the anxiety that friends and colleagues are feeling. It is a concern and fear that no one should have to harbor.(so, if you’re illegal, harbor those fears–if not, breathe freely!!)

Isn’t it a question of just IGNORING your theories, rather than trying to refute them?
No matter how good the Citizens’ Grand Jury approach is, 1) how could the verdict get to the next level, since the court system we have in place will not accept it, and 2) with the time required for court cases to go through the system (years, not months), how can anything substantial be achieved in the short time we have before BHO takes us over the cliff?
After sorting all of these matters out, it is my opinion that the only way to remove him is through impeachment. That is the constitutional way to remove a sitting President.
Congress would not now be prone to do this, but if there is enough pressure put on them by We the People, the idea would at least be introduced. If everyone that shares our anquish over BHO would BOMBARD our congressmen with the info that we talk about here every day and demand that something be done, we would be following the Constitution and could have a chance at some point.
Trying to wait for any court to address the issue is hopeless, because the legal processes are too drawn out. Just look at the Blago trial! We don’t have that kind of time. And that includes the citizens’ grand juries. The concept is probably good but not practical at this stage, IMHO.

Don’t we find that the “silent treatment” is preferred by DOJ? They just trash the whole thing, not thinking it is worth considering in their own minds.
No, I am not confusing impeachment with indictment. Indictment is a regular court process, which will take years to go through the system, that is, if you can even find a judge that will not dismiss the case for some reason.
Impeachment is the way our Founding Fathers determined to remove a SITTING President. It is all clearly spelled out in the Constitution, as you know. The process can be rather quickly accomplished once Congress knows they have to do it or incur further wrath of We the People.
Of course, all of the alleged crimes committed by BHO would be a part of the charges against him, plus he could be removed for other more vague charges such as “high crimes and misdemeanors”. His failure to secure the borders and even demean efforts to do so, his
treasonable acts which are many, his ineptness as President, and on and on, could fit into the latter category. From my memory of the Clinton impeachment by the House, charges have to be substantiated, etc., but there is not the long, drawn out process that you find in the court system. The House brings the Articles of Impeachment and then the Senate votes on whether he should be removed from office. In the Clinton situation, I felt that the Senate acted unwisely in voting against removal.

Joy, You are correct… My daughter lives in the area of the former Aryan Nation Church… She also is a teacher in the area.. The spokesman from New Viena said the van the 2 men were driving was registered in Ohio and had the local Aryan Church signea on it. Whether or not it was stolen or not has not been determined. The church has been closed, but there is a man who lives at times in there, and the windows are covered with old newspapers.

Regarding the protocol officer who tripped on her hem and landed on her behind, it did provide a good laugh. The 2 suspects are not from Ohio, don’t know why they were driving a van with Ohio plates, but they were from Florida, on their way home from doing the foreclosure avoidance seminars. Another thing, they came out of the van shooting, so the cops had every right to shoot back.
