Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have referred to this tax and control bill as historic. Indeed it is. It marks the most corrupt congress and white house administration in US history. It also will define the Obama administration and this Democrat controlled congress.
In phase 1, informed Americans tried to prevent an illegal takeover of the US government by the Obama camp.
In phase 2, more and more Americans learned the truth about Obama. This includes Democrats, Independents and even a few in the MSM, perhaps now even including Jack Cafferty.
We are in the midst of phase 3, the corrupt attempts to pass this tax and control Health Care Bill against the will of the governed. At best, this will allegedly begin covering some Americans in approx. 4 years after taxing us to death and ruining the economy even more.
Phase 4 begins tomorrow after the probable chicanery passes tonight. Do not worry. This will become a rallying cry. Like the shot heard round the world in the American Revolution. This will consist of numerous court and state challenges as well as futher preparation to vote the asses out in November. Remember, these fools have helped us in a way. They have placed a large red target on their backs.
Phase 5 will of course be the removal of these arrogant, corrupt politicians. That will include the removal of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi being removed as Speaker of the House and either impeachment proceedings against Obama or minimally his political demise by 2012.

Phase 5, all of the states aversely effected by this healthcare reform legislation should ratify a constitutional amendment that will allow voters at any time to recall any of a state members of the House or Senate with a petition signed by 1/3 of registered voters in their electorate.

We nominate Bart Stupak for that special place in American history reserved for men who abandon all principles, forsake their countries, their Gods, and their values, and do something unimaginably terrible to bring eternal disgrace upon themselves and all their descendants.

This obscene government has a proven track record of lawlessness, disregard for the American people, and willingness to harm them. It has secretly supported 37 Muslim training camps in the US. Maybe the military will refuse to shoot at its own citizens, I am certain the Muslims will have no moral conflict to kill us. It will be a Muslim militia the vulgar Steve Dunham will use.
We have been betrayed. Looking at the track record of all the judges who refused to hear the case of Obama’s eligibility on merit and dismissed the case on “standing”, I suspect Mark Levin, all 38 states, and who ever else attempts to remedy the travesty that is taking place today through our judicial system will meet with the same judicial betrayal as the eligibility issues.

WASHINGTON — (Sunday, March 21, 2010, 6 PM EDT) — In response to today’s announcement regarding an agreement between Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mi.) and President Obama on the pending health care bill (H.R. 3590), the following statement was issued by the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC), the federation of right-to-life organizations in the 50 states:
The National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) remains strongly opposed to the Senate-passed health bill (H.R. 3590). A lawmaker who votes for this bill is voting to require federal agencies to subsidize and administer health plans that will pay for elective abortion, and voting to undermine longstanding pro-life policies in other ways as well. Pro-life citizens nationwide know that this is a pro-abortion bill. Pro-life citizens know, and they will be reminded again and again, which lawmakers deserve their gratitude for voting against this pro-abortion legislation.
The executive order promised by President Obama was issued for political effect. It changes nothing. It does not correct any of the serious pro-abortion provisions in the bill. The president cannot amend a bill by issuing an order, and the federal courts will enforce what the law says.

The order does nothing at all to mitigate the other abortion-related problems described in the NRLC letter, dealing with bill provisions that create dangerous regulatory mandate authorities, revise Indian health programs, and create pools of directly appropriated funds that are not covered by existing restrictions on funding of abortion. Nor can the order correct the omission from the pending legislation of the necessary conscience-protection language that had been included in House-passed health care legislation last November (the “Weldon language”).

Thanks for you blog. I never felt that I would have to post that it is clear that our politicians pay each other off with our money and our futures, while they openly violate the laws and the Constitution.
During the voting today, there was a very loud lighting and thunderstorm here. Thunderstorms are common in Florida, so is lightning, but it had an different tone. This time I was startled because it sounded like explosions and gunfire. While I remain a man of science, I couldn’t help but think it was an omen.

We have donated and will donate again. I would donate more if they took my advice and placed the ad in different newspapers like USA Today, NYTimes, LATimes, WSJ, WP, etc. They keep preeching to the SAME choir.
Another question:
I know that it has been suggested that forcing citizens to purchase health insurance is unconstitutional … well, isn’t forcing doctors who could make a lot more for their skills serving private patients, accepting private insurance, also unconstitutional? Some doctors should take this to court. How can they be forced to accept only what the gov. is willing to pay them, forcing them in debt, esp. since there is nothing changed re: lawsuits against them, when they could accept patients willing to pay them more?? Why would anyone go into medicine now? They still have to pay $100,000 or so for insurance without getting reimbursed enough to keep them from bankruptcy. Go figure.
Who will be left to administer this program? More “underemployed” ACORN types trained by the death panels, backed by the IRS, and pretending they have authority to give grandma some sleeping pills and putting the “non-producers” on those looooong waiting lists.
I hope the Repubs “make fools of themselves” (as was mentioned by Juan Williams) by stalling things on minutia even if for nothing else to prevent anyone from concentrating on legalizing the illegals just in time to vote in Nov!
And why would any new technology for, say, heart disease, go forward, since most of those patient types are seniors or getting close….too expensive. There go more medical miracles out the door. Something very wrong going on here. It wasn’t 3 weeks ago, Pelousi admitted she could not get house members to vote on the Senate Bill.

Don’t you think there will also be suits brought by those who have good insurance – more coverage than gov offers, but which has to pass through gov. scrutiny and gets denied because it may be “too good” and cause those with lesser means to “feel bad”?? I place the blame for all this directly on the MSM. I don’t expect them to be conservative shills, but they needed to have at least explained or outlined what is in this bill.
I am convinced that at least half of the (misinformed) citizens who think they are in favor of this would immediately hold their head in their hands and scream HELL NO.
Further, most of the congress people have not read this and are only voting because their leaders (lyingly) are telling them that the bill is relatively benign and centerast, and that it is a good thing.
Again, I think a lot of congress people must think that if the MSM is not raising a stink about it, it can’t be all that bad.
Before we take after our congress people with pitchforks and torches, maybe we should completely disable the MSM first. We need to figure out some national boycott or other action that would “get their attention”.
I have not watched abc, cbs, nbc or any of the others in over a year. I canceled my newspaper 8 months ago because they were so liberal.

The Vote: As of now, it looks like the final vote on $1 trillion in new taxes, $2 trillion in new spending, socialized medicine, and the confiscation of much of your freedom will be voted on at about 10:00 PM Eastern time tonight. I don’t know what is going to happen. I fear they will win. I pray they will not.
In an astounding show of arrogance, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and a posse of her fellow Democrats chose to walk right through the group of people still protesting against the bill and for their civil and constitutional rights. They could have taken the tunnels under the Capitol, they clearly did this on purpose. She did this while holding a giant over-sized Speaker’s gavel in a gesture intended to taunt the assembled multitude. I’m not sure it is possible to overestimate the arrogance of this ruling majority. Their sense of omnipotence and their dismissal of the Constitution, the will of the people, the facts, and all pretense of equity makes me so angry that my hands are shaking as I write this. Just to show that the Democrats are still spending your money, socializing all of American society, and still cutting special deals for their friends, here’s another tidbit for you. As part of the Health care bill, Democrats included a provision having nothing to do with health care. Under the bill, no student loans will be permitted except as a loan from the government. They will eliminate all private lenders from the student loan program. This, by the way, completes the 4 year quest by Democrats to totally socialize all student loans. This is what the future under Obama/Pelosi/Reid rule looks like. Government controls more and more of your life; you have less and less freedom, and you get to keep less and less of your money. But if you are a friend of one of our rulers, you may get a special deal. Then, you can do what no one else can, you may not have to pay the taxes everyone else does and generally live under a different set of laws than the rest of us. The National Organization for Women is incensed that President Barack Obama agreed today to issue an executive order designed to appease a handful of anti-choice Democrats who have held up health care reform in an effort to restrict women’s access to abortion. Through this order, the president has announced he will lend the weight of his office and the entire executive branch to the anti-abortion measures included in the Senate bill, which the House is now prepared to pass.
President Obama campaigned as a pro-choice president, but his actions today suggest that his commitment to reproductive health care is shaky at best. Contrary to language in the draft of the executive order and repeated assertions in the news, the Hyde Amendment is not settled law — it is an illegitimate tack-on to an annual must-pass appropriations bill. NOW has a longstanding objection to Hyde and, in fact, was looking forward to working with this president and Congress to bring an end to these restrictions. We see now that we have our work cut out for us far beyond what we ever anticipated. The message we have received today is that it is acceptable to negotiate health care on the backs of women, and we couldn’t disagree more.

Democrats are worried about holding their members together on a GOP motion that could kill the healthcare bill.
Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) said House leaders are specifically concerned about a Republican motion to recommit that would contain only language on abortion that Stupak originally had wanted to include in the Senate bill.
The concern is based on the fear of GOP attack ads painting Democrats who vote against a motion to recommit that includes Stupak’s favored language on abortion as “flip-floppers” on the issue.
Sixty-eight Democrats voted for Stupak’s language in a November vote. They could be portrayed as flipping if they now voted against it.
“They are concerned about it,” Stupak said after his Sunday press conference.
If enough Democrats with Republicans backed the motion to recommit the bill to committee, it would effectively kill the healthcare bill.

In the coming days, Obama plans to take several trips across the nation to counter what Democrats expect will be an onslaught of criticism and misinformation about the legislation.
President Obama is set to begin an immediate public relations blitz aimed at turning around Americans’ opinion of the health-care bill, assuming the House passes it, White House officials said Sunday afternoon as they waited for the final votes.
Planning inside the West Wing for the post-vote period has proceeded quietly, even as the president and his allies on Capitol Hill have been fighting for the measure’s passage.
Reshaping the legislation’s image will take place in three phases, aides said: the immediate aftermath; the seven months until the November midterm elections; and the several years that follow, during which many provisions in the measure will gradually take effect.
Conservative talk show hosts and activists are already targeting members and planning protests. And Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli II, a conservative Republican, said he would file a lawsuit challenging the law within hours of its passage
Republicans have made clear that they intend to keep the pressure on throughout the election year, using the law — which they contend is highly unpopular almost everywhere — to batter Democratic officeholders and candidates.
“There’s an overwhelming likelihood that every race in the country is going to be a referendum on this issue this fall if this passes,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) said last week.
Senate Republicans say they intend to mount a fierce assault on the bill of “changes” in their chamber. If they succeed in killing it, that would leave Democrats with the original Senate legislation, which even many Democratic lawmakers dislike

The more I see of Mr. Boehner the more I respect him, he is a cool head with an extensive resume of fighting for the American people for a long time. I am not a cool head, but at times like this it is good for the cooler heads to prevail. This first vote is HR 3590 which is the HC bill as passed by the senate in December…the actual HC legislation. If this bill passes, the House will then vote on whether to recommit the reconciliation bill; the legislative package that was used to make budgetary changes to the HC legislation. That vote gives Republican’s one last chance to change the reconciliation package. If that motion fails the house will then vote on passage of the reconciliation bill.

I taught a course on the Schiavo case; great for explaining government separation of powers. You misunderstand the facts. 1) Ms. Schiavo’s parents stood by while their ‘chubby’ daughter wasted down to skin and bones – she was bulemic- at the same time she was undergoing fertility treatments to give them a grandchild. 2) Her parents failed to ensure their daughter wrote either a will or a living will or a health care proxy. 3) Under FL state probate law, when a person is unable to make reasoned decisions as to medical care, such decisions will be made by the next of kin. In the case of a married woman, her next of kin is her husband.
Ms. Schiavo suffered a fatal heart attack because she had no potassium in her body, as the result of extended periods of improper diet coupled with regular purging. She was a grown woman when she purged, when she failed to draft a medical proxy; and when she died.

I doubt the elections this fall will make a difference. I doubt petitions will make a difference. The law suits will come too late.
Only one more state needs to vote to call a Constitutional Convention. At this point in our history we must take the opportunity to legally reaffirm our personal and states rights. We CAN dismantle the wrongs foisted upon us by an oppressive federal regime.
What do we have to lose? At this point in time, not much. Most of our freedoms have already been stolen from us. We are just a few more pieces of legislation away from having no freedoms. In our own personal lives we have all made decisions to stop discretionary spending. If we could dismantle much of the bureaucracy of the federal government we might also be able to pay off our debt and prevent the economic collapse of our country.
I know in the past some of you have expressed fear at the mere thought of a Constitutional Convention. A Constitutional Convention would give us a 50-50 chance of restoring the Founders’ vision for America. He and the other Founding Fathers recognized at the very beginning of the American experiment that for the new nation to flourish would require that our people recognize that the source of their liberty is God, not government. We must not, in the name of “affordable health care for all” or any other political enticement, forsake the foundational principle upon which our liberty and our dignity rests.

jbjd ..That’s a crock of misinformation on the Schiavo case. Husband had total emotional control over her. She was scared to death of him. He was an abuser before her. There was testimony to implicate him. The court order to kill her was made by a judge and attorney/avec husband conspiracy united under the very powerful Florida euthanasia coalition. The facts are very obvious to those who truly know the underlying foundation and not those who only read the talking points of the euthanasia movement (btw, the husband’s atty used to talk to the spirits of dying patients, finding it fascinating!). Evil personified there, esp. in husband who illegally used funds granted by former jury for rehabilitation to get that order for murder through dehydration. Have you seen the testimony of those considered “vegetables” due to their inability to simply communicate and the process of dehydration was begun???? There were some who came out of such a coma state, diagnosed as Terri, who emphasized that they were screaming inside for fluids but couldn’t communicate the agony. It is a horrendous way to die. Most places mandate against dehydration – it is NOT any kind of “extraordinary” means of care. It is basic human care for any living person.
Under FL state probate law, when a person is unable to make reasoned decisions as to medical care, such decisions will be made by the next of kin. In the case of a married woman, her next of kin is her husband.
The husband should have been disqualified because of his own current situation that would have, in any upright court, removed him as biased with a current living situation (with new family) with benefits to him of the death of his wife. There was ALL kinds of testimony of nursing staff of the man preventing even basic human care and much pointing to his own attempts to tamper with medical devices. (when will the “bitch” die)
The “nursing home” (hospice) was violating statutes itself since, at the time its manipulated acceptance of Terri was done the diagnosis was NOT one of imminent death within the period of time mandated. And it never was – that’s why the husband HAD to get the court order to kill her deliberately. This was a court ordered murder/euthanasia and you obviously are not up to snuff with the enormous, now verified, dossier on the background, including damning testimony not permitted by the judge. A true crime.

Usually I “pick on” jbjd, but I wanted to enjoy this rare opportunity to agree with her. This thread is probably now old and dead so it won’t matter. But such a load of crock cannot go unchallenged.
The “TS incident” was at the time and still is a great embarassment to Republicans. They just need to let it go and move on. It is the single most major example of the Dem’s accusation that Repubs are not even worthy debating partners when it comes to matters of life and death.
TS was DEAD for many months, if not years, before the plug was pulled. She was not even remotely “alive” or capable of being re-incarnated short of the Second Coming. Her brains were physically scrambled eggs.
At some point – regardless of religion, wishful thinking, political bias, etc. – there has to be some sanity on things like this.
If we don’t have it already, we are literally weeks or months away from having enough technology to keep a corpse circulating vital fluids indefinitely. Death must be defined – and with some dignity.
