“Obama Got Pre-Christmas Intelligence Briefing About Terror Threats to “Homeland””
“President Barack Obama received a high-level briefing only three days before Christmas about possible holiday-period terrorist threats against the US, Newsweek has learned. The briefing was centered on a written report, produced by US intelligence agencies, entitled “Key Homeland Threats”, a senior US official said.
The senior Administration official, who asked for anonymity when discussing sensitive information, said that nowhere in this document was there any mention of Yemen, whose Al-Qaeda affiliate is now believed to have been behind the unsuccessful Christmas Day attempt by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to bring down a transatlantic airliner with a bomb hidden in his underpants. However, the official declined to disclose any other information about the substance of the briefing, including what kind of specific warnings, if any, the President was given about possibly holiday attacks and whether Yemen came up during oral discussions.
According to the senior official, the holiday threat briefing, one in a series of regularly-scheduled sessions with top counter-terrorism officials, was held in the White House Situation Room on December 22. Present were representatives of agencies involved in counter-terrorism policy and operations, including Attorney General Eric Holder, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and FBI Director Robert Mueller. The CIA and National Intelligence Directors Office were represented by deputy agency heads: CIA deputy director Steven Kappes, and David Gompert, the principal deputy to National Intelligence Czar Dennis Blair. Also present was Michael Leiter, director of the National Counter-terrorism Center, a unit of the Intelligence Czar’s office which was created after 9/11 to ensure that intelligence reporting about possible terrorist plots was shared quickly among all US agencies who might have some capability to do something about it.
The senior official said that beginning in early December, based on reports coming in from intelligence agencies, policy-makers had begun tracking a stream of information which alluded to a possible holiday-period plot against the US orchestrated from somewhere in Pakistan. However, the official said, this reporting later turned out to be “garbled” and it was determined that the threat probably was a washout. The official denied that the White House received any report, representing the concensus of US intelligence agencies, warning that a Holiday-period plot originating in Yemen and targeting the US homeland could be in the works.
In a background briefing for reporters on December 29, also attributed in an official White House transcript to a “senior administration official”, that official asserted that in the wake of the attempted underpants attack, it had become clear to the President and top advisors that before Christmas, the US government was in posession of “bits and pieces” of information, which, if they had been properly knitted together, “could have…allowed us to disrupt the attack or certainly to know much more about the alleged attacker in such a way as to ensure that he was on, as the President suggested in his statement, a no-fly list.” In the briefing, the official identified three rough categories of information that the government had which could have been relevant to foiling the attack: information about Abdulmutallab and his plans, info about Al-Qaeda and their plans, and info “about potential attacks during the holiday period.””

Michael van Der Galien writes, “This foreign law-enforcement organization can operate free of an important safeguard against government and abuse. Property and assets, including the organization’s records, cannot now be searched or seized. Their physical operational locations are now immune from U.S. legal and investigative authorities.”
Obama has given an international organization unsupervised freedom to investigate Americans on our own soil without recourse or the supervision of our own government.
Andy McCarthy writing for the National Review asks some very significant questions: “Why would we elevate an international police force above American law? Why would we immunize an international police force from the limitations that constrain the FBI and other American law-enforcement agencies?
Why is it suddenly necessary to have, within the Justice Department, a repository for stashing government files which, therefore, will be beyond the ability of Congress, American law-enforcement, the media and the American people to scrutinize?”
Interpol is the enforcement arm of the International Criminal Court, or ICC. The United States never signed onto the Rome Treaty, which created the ICC, because of the potential for abuse by foreign interests. Obama has signaled he may sign the treaty over these objections and subject Americans to prosecution overseas in the ICC.
This is harmful for two reasons. First, the U.S. Constitution clearly states that it is the supreme law of our land, and allowing the ICC to supersede the U.S. Constitution violates America’s sovereignty.
Second, the War on Terror is unpopular with Europeans, and the ICC may attempt to prosecute heroic American soldiers with trumped-up war crimes.
Obama is putting brave American men and women at grave risk. An added wrinkle to this executive order is that Interpol’s operations center for the United States is housed within our own Justice Department. Many of the agents are Americans who work under the aegis of Interpol.
This order has potentially created the new civilian security force that Obama proposed during his campaign.
This group of law-enforcement officials is no longer subject to the restraints enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.
The order guarantees that Interpol officers have immunity from prosecution for crimes they may commit in the United States.
Ironically, some Interpol nations are attempting to try American intelligence agents for their work abroad in the War on Terror.
This order shows blatant disregard for the U.S. Constitution. While Obama is extending due process rights to terrorists he is weakening those same rights for American citizens. If a citizen were to be prosecuted by Interpol, their newly granted immunity would interfere with the discovery process.
Since Interpol files are immune to disclosure, a citizen could be denied his right to see the information used to prosecute him or her.
Obama’s executive order has done more to weaken civil liberties than the much-maligned Patriot Act. The silence in the mainstream media on this issue should scare all freedom-loving Americans. Obama just signed away parts of our precious legal protections.

I am of an entirely different opinion about Interpol’s broad reach. On December 2, 2009 nearly 600 IT specialists, forensic accountants and other professionals landed in DC and have been here since. This little ditty has now been sourced by three separate global finance analysts from three different countries.
I may very well be wrong BUT I believe 0 was forced to expand Interpol’s powers b/c the financial criminal act perpetrated by American bankers, political elite, uber wealthy and others is in September 2008 is what is finally coming to a head.
Think about it for a sec, our stock market collapse and the fraudulent financial schemes our banks and government created affected the entire global economy and all of her people. This was a criminal act. Like it or not.
Our current government has not held the first friggin hearing into that September debacle. Have you seen any investigations? Have you heard a peep? I don’t know about you but $75k was stolen from my hub and I in September. Gone with a snap of a finger. Multiply this times the millions who also lost wealth and by george you have an international financial scandal on your hands.
To think the US government would investigate, arrest and bring to justice these criminals is a fantasy; especially this administration. Therefore, a world body needed the necessary powers to investigate, search, sieze and arrest these global criminals.
I’ve stated this before and will again, this feeling we have, this hunch is very real. Trust it. But it is bigger than us, it is bigger than just the US, it is HUGE. When a country and her government commit such financial devastation to the people of this world who else should be the body to bring these criminals to justice? The CIA, Mossad, MI6? Get a grip.
The world court is set up for this very thing. Interpol is their investigators. Take a breath. They aren’t after you and me, they are after the cabal who has committed this devasting financial fraud on the good people of this world. Parochial thinking is not going to help you on this one. It’s way bigger than you and me.
So my cheap advice, hold onto your hats b/c chit is getting ready to hit the proverbial fan and this criminal cabal will finally be put out of business.

Thanks for the vid clip. The U.S. consulted El Al after 9/11, and even put some of their methods into use however, the further we get from 9/11, the more complacent we become. Most of their methods have been dropped due to ‘political correctness’ and the threat of being called ‘racist.’

HOUSTON — Police went to a southwest Houston apartment to break up a disturbance but ended up finding something else, KPRC Local 2 reported Wednesday.
A woman called police on Monday and said a man was forcing his way into her apartment in the 5300 block of Elm Street.
When officers went inside, they found something that made them concerned enough to call the bomb squad.
They found an AT-4 shoulder-mounted rocket launcher. It can shoot a missile nearly 1,000 feet through buildings and tanks.
“It gives infantrymen the advantage with an ultra-light weapon that can stop vehicles, armored vehicles as well as main battle tanks and fortifications,” said Oscar Saldivar of Top Brass Military and Tactical on the North Freeway.
That type of rocket launcher has been used in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The renter of the apartment didn’t want to talk to KPRC Local 2.
“This is my house,” the woman said. ” Get away from here. I don’t want to talk to nobody.”
The woman did tell police that the rocket launcher belonged to Nabilaye I. Yansane, someone whom she allowed to store items at her apartment.
Police records show that she didn’t want Yansane at her apartment, so she called them.
According to court documents, officers also found Jihadist writings that allegedly belonged to Yansane. The woman didn’t want to talk to KPRC Local 2 about that, either.
“I don’t know,” she said. “You’ll have to ask the police.”
Yansane was charged with criminal trespassing and pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to three days in jail, which he has already served. No charges related to the rocket launcher or writings were filed.
“Other people could have had access to the apartment, so maybe if a rocket launcher was located there, as is stated in the offense report, maybe it belonged to somebody else,” attorney Garl Polland said.
Prosecutors said there are no state charges for having the unarmed launcher or possessing Jihadist writings, unless they contain some type of threat.
The former director of Houston’s FBI office said rocket launchers can be dangerous if they’re in the wrong hands.
“I don’t know any other use for those weapons except in combat,” Don Clark said. “I’ve had them in combat, used them in combat. That’s what they are used for.”
Houston police said they did a thorough investigation and did not find any ties to terrorists or a terrorist network.

In a phone call Thursday, Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., urged South Carolina Republican Attorney General Henry McMaster, the head of a group of 13 GOP state attorneys general who are threatening to file a lawsuit against the Senate health care bill, to reconsider, Politico reported.
A Democratic senator from Nebraska who played a crucial role in getting health care legislation passed in the Senate last month has asked South Carolina’s top attorney to “call off the dogs” — a reference to the state official’s threat to challenge the constitutionality of the bill.
In a phone call Thursday, Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., urged South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster to reconsider, Politico reported. McMaster is the head of a group of 13 GOP state attorneys general who are threatening to file a lawsuit against the Senate health care bill.
Nelson asked McMaster to “call off the dogs,” according to a copy of the memo sent by McMaster’s chief of staff to other GOP state attorneys general detailing the call and obtained by Politico.

The President’s staff, not Republican Senators, is writing the health care bill that will allow government to control aspects of our personal lives. Obama bestows upon an international entity, an authority that transcends our Constitutional rights. First of all you might find what I have to say contradictory to what you think regarding the alleged “rocket launchers” but bear with me, and I will do some explaining.
WW2 bazookas to LAWs, and to supposed AT 4 light anti tank weapons, are still LAWs. NONE OF THEM are dangerous unless they contain a round. The launchers by themselves are only the directing device. They are designed to be “throw away” entities after they are used. The WW2 bazooka is an easily RELOADABLE DEVICE, as such. That is why there are usually more rounds available for the operator on an immediate basis. This made the bazooka a very desirable weapon in combat. The others are reloadable but only with much more difficulty in doing so. That is one reason why they are throw away directing devices. Another reason is because they are light and easy to carry.(Hence the name LIGHT ANTI TANK WEAPON.) They require extensive reworking before they can be beloaded they are not worth keeping during the heat of battle. Many are made of fibreglass.Expediency is the magic word here. You put the loaded weapon to your shoulder, fire it at the enemy, and while he is in a world of pain you discard the empty launcher, and move forward to finish off those enemy who survived the blast with rifle fire. While I am quick to reiterate that the launchers could be again used, but to be immediately dangerous they MUST CONTAIN a round. Otherwise they are for the most part JUNK by themselves.

Regarding the Israelis, I only wish that they still had Moshe Dayan, and Golda Mahyer, to handle things for them. I am terribly afraid that they no longer have any combatants who have the clarity of thought on their feet which is imperative in their situation. They need field commanders who KNOW HOW to be effective, and can command enough respect from their subordinates to GET effectiveness. Otherwise about all they will be able to do is fight mediocre defenseive actions. Their enemies have come a long way in the last 30 years, and the Israelis are now up against some real bad asses. If you are offended then it was probably me who offended you. Of course you must remember that we are also posting our personal beliefs as we feel they are pertinent. Most of which I have posted is either out of actual experience from the 78 years that I have been on earth,or is my personal belief based upon such things as our Constitution (which I was required to read in full in the 5th grade,)along with the Bill of Rights. My perception is that your are a man of honor, and I respect your public service and your ardent attempts to improve our nation. However, I think your email below ignores the undeniable truths of the shift in the political landscape that have occurred and will soon impact the mid-term elections. As a result of these truths, enumerated below, I believe that it is no longer a viable approach to throw stones at the Democrats and to invest resources in returning common Republicans to office. There is a growing group of independents that call themselves Constitutionalists, or similar, and they have no patience for the common perversions and prevarications of party ping-pong, where Dems and Reps together maintain power and control with no accountability on either side to the people. To attract these voters and their capital in the future, there must be many changes in the principles and strategies of the Republicans, else these voters will grow their numbers and their capital resources to undermine both parties and elect true Constitutionalists to positions of power in our government at every level.
Below I have attempted to share the truths that in my opinion will dictate our elections (assuming fair elections) in the future:
1. It is no longer acceptable to campaign on a platform of “change” or “reform”, as we need a campaign of “replacement”. The so-called representatives of the people have expanded their power and pursued policies in direct contradiction to the will of the people and to the Constitution. 95% of those in office need to go, especially Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Frank, and Dodd, just for starters. Nelson and Landrieu are next line. In my opinion, there are very few in either party that are worth keeping.
2. It is no longer acceptable to campaign on one set of principles, which are then readily abandoned once our representatives reach DC. The party executives must commit to employ their own resources to recall or repeal one of their own candidates with haste when that representative has forfeited the principles upon which he/she was elected. This party policing is not about adherence to a platform, but rather it is about integrity between the party and the people. If the party cannot police itself and assure accountability, then we will replace it with a new one that can.
3. It is no longer acceptable to cast stones at the other party without offering real solutions. LOOK at your email below! Simply pointing out the mistakes of the incumbents creates no bond between the party (or its candidates) and the people. This is like starting a marriage proposal by pointing out how bad the last boyfriend was. This type of rhetoric may have won elections in the past, but the people are awakening to the reality that this rhetoric only serves party ping-pong process. We want every real problem to be presented with appropriate Constitutional solutions.
4. It is no longer acceptable to maintain massive power in DC that is not vested in the people. We want 95% of the federal government dismantled, with only essential components remaining. The federal government was created to serve the people and the states, not to dictate to them. We want elimination of all unfunded mandates, election of U.S. Senators through state legislatures, severe restrictions in the career and money exchanges between our elected representatives and the lobbyist community, and an audit of the Federal Reserve.
5. It is no longer acceptable to stretch the Constitution beyond its stated boundaries with progressive and “modern” interpretations that are simply not found within the document. We want a return to Constitutional principles in every facet of our nation’s business. To that end, we want (i) CBO-like audits of the Constitutionality of every law before it is voted upon, (ii) repeal of all un-Constitutional laws including federal tax withholding laws, (iii) formal remands (and if necessary withdrawal of funds) for government agencies executing un-Constitutional authority, and (iv) elimination and redistribution of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals among the neighboring circuits.
6. It is no longer acceptable to grow the population of the United States and of the Democratic party via unfettered access to our porous national borders. We want (i) voting rights for only the legal citizens of our land, (ii) removal of all illegal immigrants from our nation, (iii) assimilation requirements of immigrants to become citizens, (iv) citizenship requirements that do not reward illegal entry into our nation, and (v) strengthening of our border to prevent further abuse of our nation’s resources.
These six truths among others will be pursued by a wide array of people who believe that (i) the two-party system has abused the electorate, and (ii) our country has lost its core values. The Republican party will become irrelevant over the next 3 years unless the party cleans house, begins to police its own ranks, and pursues policies focused on freedom, states’ rights, and Constitutional principles.
We look forward to your input on these observations, and we remain hopeful that you and other public leaders will take part in this Constitutional campaign of replacement.

What I’m hoping for is that if the Libs feel the election is ‘in the bag’ for Coakley, they won’t show up at the polls. I’ve seen that around here; it they think it’s a runaway for Coakley, they’ll stay home.
Waiting for my union (sorry, had no choice but to join this weak organization) to endorse Coakley sometime next week. They always back the Dems and losers and with every e-mail they send, I fire one off to the union Prez. telling him to pretty much stuff it.
I will be at the polls, birth certificate in hand (again), on 1/19 to vote for Scott. Three feet of snow? No probelm! I’ll get there :).

Suicide Bomber who Killed CIA Agents was Well-Known Trusted Informant
Here is a video report on the suicide bomber attack that killed seven CIA agents in Afghanistan earlier this week. The report reveals that the bomber was a well-known informant for the CIA in Afghanistan who apparently was a double-agent. The Taliban in Pakistan claim he was a double-agent for them. He reportedly came from the Pakistan side of the border. He was driven onto the base in Afghanistan and was reportedly not subjected to a search because he was known to people there. He blew himself up in the gymnasium of the base, killing the agents. The CIA is looking for a way to bring those responsible for the attack to justice.

Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered because someone says a 30-second prayer before a football game. So what’s the big deal? It’s not like somebody is up there reading the entire Book of Acts. They’re just talking to a God they believe in and asking him to grant safety to the players on the field and the fans going home from the game.
But it’s a Christian prayer, some will argue.
Yes, and this is the United States of America , a country founded on Christian principles. According to our very own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200-to-1. So what would you expect — somebody chanting Hare Krishna?
If I went to a football game in Jerusalem , I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer…
If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad , I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.
If I went to a ping pong match in China , I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha.
And I wouldn’t be offended. It wouldn’t bother me one bit.
When in Rome …..
But what about the atheists? Is another argument.
What about them? Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We’re not going to pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds. If that’s asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of ear plugs. Go to the bathroom. Visit the concession stand. Call your lawyer!
Unfortunately, one or two will make that call. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do.. I don’t think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world’s foundations.
Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying.
God, help us. And if that last sentence offends you, well, just sue me.
The silent majority has been silent too long. It’s time we tell that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard that the vast majority doesn’t care what they want. It is time that the majority Rules! It’s time we tell them, you don’t have to pray; you don’t have to say the Pledge of Allegiance; you don’t have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right; but by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away. We are fighting back, and we WILL WIN!
God bless us one and all … Especially those who denounce Him, God bless America, despite all her faults. She is still the greatest nation of all. God bless our service men who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God.
Let’s make 2010 the year the silent majority is heard and we put God back as the foundation of our families and institutions. And our military forces come home from all the wars.

Ginger, Grave concerns about those Sequoia voting machines are warranted, they have problems with accuracy, and manipulation of results.
I would prefer all voters dip their finger into ink and we use the voting system used in Iraq. Saw a story about those machines (Sequoia) in a news magazine. The article said votes were loaded into the machines prior to the election, that would guarantee a win for now ex President of Honduras Zelaya.

Its not just the blatant corruption from this administration that’s at issue, if it were, that might be a somewhat easier job to tackle. It is the DECEIT that makes the honest person’s job that much harder. When that DECEIT emanates from the White House and trickles down to state governments (which is what we are already beginning to see) that DECEIT corrupts ten fold and feeds on itself.
Under these left-wing liberal parasites, rules, regulations, and laws that affect STATES RIGHTS are being put into place by the minute. Under these parasitic rules, regs, and laws — in each — there is language that refers to yet *other* bills somewhere in our vast body of laws. Each of these new laws feeds on another part of the law, making it impossible for the layperson to [a] understand what the law is [b] makes it difficult to abide by the law [c] forces more people into court to fight an injustice. With the corrupt left wingers in the judge’s seat, no one will win because the INTERPRETATION of these BAD LAWS is ultimately left to the triar of fact: the corrupt judge.
In essence, the FEDERAL government, by piecemeal legislation (health care included) are not only usurping the USConstitution, they are PREEMPTING the STATE LAWS and thus preempting your rights as a US Citizen. This preemption overrules whatever “rights” you may have thought you had at home in your state. Suddenly, what you’ve been doing for your entire lifetime, is no longer protected activity. Arrests are imminent — and we are seeing more arrests for what can only be described as infractions. This is only the beginning.
The result is, it makes abiding-by-the-law(s) that much more difficult. Once it becomes THAT difficult to abide by the law, and more of us are convicted of “federal” offenses, guess what? Those who have been convicted of a federal offense CAN NO LONGER VOTE! Think about it. By diminishing the pool of eligible voters by so-easily tainting their unblemished life long records, the left wing liberals can now control who votes.
Innocent Americans are now being forced to live under a regime.

What I do know is that machines were made available in 2006 to people with disabilities so that they could vote. There are 361 municipalities in this commonwealth, and only certain, more populated areas (i.e., Boston) had the machines available to voters.
My town (~30,000 souls) is on paper ballots, as are most cities and towns in the area.
BUT IT IS ALSO OBVIOUS THAT HE HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO SET ASIDE OUR CONSTITUTION BY BOTH CONGRESS, AND OUR ALLEGED SUPREME COURT, SO WHO IS TO STOP HIM FROM INVOKING MARTIAL LAW IF HE SEES FIT?………
