Patrick Fitzgerald Obama Justice Department pawn, Fitzgerald aggresively pursued Ryan and Rove, Fitzgerald protects Obama
“Why did the Illinois Senate Health & Human Services Committee, with Obama as chairman, create and push Bill 1332, “Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act,” early in 2003, which reduced the number of members on the Board from 15 to 9, just prior to rigging by Tony Rezko and Rod Blagojevich?”…Citizen Wells
“I believe I’m more pristine on Rezko than him.”…Rod Blagojevich
From NewsMax December 10, 2008.
“Once he assumes office, President-elect Barack Obama will face a severe “trial by fire” over whether to fire U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald and other U.S. attorneys, following Democratic Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s arrest Tuesday for allegedly offering to sell Obama’s vacated Senate seat to the highest bidder.
Ordinarily, legal and political experts say, an incoming president has broad authority to change both the Cabinet and the U.S. attorneys who serve at his request. But with unanswered questions swirling over the degree of interaction Obama’s team has had with Blagojevich, and the alarming level of Illinois corruption exposed by the probe, any move to fire Fitzgerald would be highly controversial as a possible conflict of interest.
“There are enough connections between the worlds of Blagojevich and Obama that the whole thing has the potential to grow beyond a colorful Chicago tale of corruption to entangle members of the presidential transition team, to test Obama’s carefully cultivated reformist image, and to distract the president-elect just as he is preparing to take office,” Time.com reported Wednesday.”
“Citing the equivocal statements coming out of the Obama camp, Heritage fellow and legal scholar Robert Alt tells Newsmax: “You already have the whiff of cover-up in the air” inside the Beltway.
“If these sorts of stories continue,” Alt says, “and it starts to look like he’s covering up contacts with Blagojevich, if he then sacks Fitzgerald, that would look very bad indeed.”
In his news conference, Fitzgerald went out of his way to avoid implicating the Obama team, stating “there’s no reference in the complaint to any conversation involving the president-elect or indicating that the president-elect was aware of it.””
““My guess is if Senator Obama got elected, one of the first things that would happen is that they would remove Patrick Fitzgerald in Chicago,” the former senator told WIND’s John & Cisco In The Morning show. “And he’d have pressure to do so from all sorts of Daley administration people.” ”
“Obama’s main task, Marshall says, is “returning some credibility to the Justice Department, but the point is if [Obama] keeps him on, that is the exception rather than the rule.”
Firing Fitzgerald could cause Obama more trouble than it’s worth. The nightmare scenario for Obama would be if the Blagojevich investigation evolves into a smoldering, enduring controversy along the lines of the Whitewater scandal, which dogged and distracted the presidency of former President Bill Clinton.
For now, that appears to most observers rather unlikely. But given the president-elect’s admission of what he described as “boneheaded” involvement in a real estate deal with top Blagojevich fund-raiser Tony Rezko, questions are likely to linger.
And then there is Illinois’ daunting reputation for political corruption.
Law professor James Lindgren, a Chicago-area law professor at Northwestern University, tells Newsmax: “There is enough corruption in Illinois so that all it takes is someone who is serious about finding it to uncover it. If a U.S. attorney is not finding corruption in Illinois, they’re not seriously looking for it.””

“There are enough connections between the worlds of Blagojevich and Obama that the whole thing has the potential to grow beyond a colorful Chicago tale of corruption to entangle members of the presidential transition team, to test Obama’s carefully cultivated reformist image, and to distract the president-elect just as he is preparing to take office,” Time.com reported Wednesday.
Many of the concerns revolve around a statement Obama made Tuesday afternoon, which ultimately raised more questions than it answered.
“I had no contact with the governor or his office, and so we were not — I was not aware of what was happening,” Obama said, leaving open the possibility that his staff did have contact with Blagojevich. “And as I said, it’s a sad day for Illinois. Beyond that, I don’t think it’s appropriate to comment.”
Obama’s statement evoked concern among the mainstream media that it was too tepid to quell the rising hubbub. “I think it was a very passive statement by Obama yesterday. I don’t think it was enough,” NBC political director Chuck Todd told MSNBC viewers on Wednesday morning.
Concerns over what Obama’s staff knew regarding the blatant solicitation of bribes, and when they knew it, only deepened Wednesday morning as Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod recanted a November statement that Obama did meet with Blagojevich that month.
Wednesday afternoon, apparently in response to media rumblings, Obama commented again, saying via a spokesman that Blagojevich should step down as Illinois governor. Obama has not been considered particularly close to Blagojevich, but did voice strong support for him during his 2006 reelection campaign.
Citing the equivocal statements coming out of the Obama camp, Heritage fellow and legal scholar Robert Alt tells Newsmax: “You already have the whiff of cover-up in the air” inside the Beltway.
“If these sorts of stories continue,” Alt says, “and it starts to look like he’s covering up contacts with Blagojevich, if he then sacks Fitzgerald, that would look very bad indeed.”
In his news conference, Fitzgerald went out of his way to avoid implicating the Obama team, stating “there’s no reference in the complaint to any conversation involving the president-elect or indicating that the president-elect was aware of it.”
Alt, the deputy director of the Center for Legal and Judicial studies at Heritage, says he sees no indication in the criminal complaint against Blagojevich of any improper involvement on the part of Obama’s representatives – but he adds Obama must now tread very carefully.
“It will be a baptism by fire,” Alt tells Newsmax. “Any time there is an investigation touching on the president or close presidential allies, the sensitivity of hiring and firing the prosecutors becomes a high concern. It’s been previously said there’s not much time for on-the-job training for the presidency. And on the issue of U.S. attorneys, he’ll have to make some tough calls right away.”
Republican leaders are already challenging Obama to pledge that after he becomes president on Jan. 20, he will keep Fitzgerald in office.
“What he should do tomorrow is say, ‘Patrick Fitzgerald has a job and can have it for as long as he wants,’” the state Republican chairman of Illinois, Andy McKenna, told reporters. “Some have wondered if Barack Obama would keep Fitzgerald. It would be great if he confirms that he plans to.”
That Fitzgerald suddenly sees Republicans lining up to defend him is profoundly ironic, given that both prominent Republicans and Democrats have found themselves in his investigatory crosshairs over the years.
A former rugby player, Fitzgerald once told a reporter he’d left plenty of blood on the field because “that was the whole point.” No one has ever doubted Fitzgerald, 47, plays for keeps.
Born into a working-class Brooklyn family, Fitzgerald’s father of worked as a doorman in Manhattan. The future scourge of corrupt politicians attended Amherst, and after earning a law degree from Harvard University practiced civil law before becoming an assistant U.S. attorney in New York in 1988. There, Fitzgerald made his reputation prosecuting terrorists like Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman, the blind Egyptian cleric who sought to bomb city landmarks. He also tried four men accused of bombing the East African embassy.
As Fitzgerald was demonstrating his prosecutorial chops, a maverick Illinois senator named Peter Fitzgerald – no relation – was looking for a U.S. attorney who would clean up the state’s infamously twisted politics. According to The Washington Post, Sen. Fitzgerald called former FBI Director Louis Freeh and asked, “Who’s the best assistant U.S. attorney you know of in the country?”
Freeh didn’t hesitate: “Patrick Fitzgerald in the Southern District of New York.”
The senator then called the head of the New York office, asked the same question, and got the same answer: Patrick Fitzgerald.
That was when the senator recruited his namesake to be U.S. attorney in Chicago, and the rest is history — bitter history for those Fitzgerald has caught trying to scam the public.
Fitzgerald’s delicious gift for offending the rich and powerful on both sides of America’s partisan divide was never more evident than in the Valerie Plame Wilson case. On the one hand, Republicans were troubled that Fitzgerald decided to prosecute I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, the former top aide to Vice President Dick Cheney, for perjury charges that had little or nothing to do with the concerns that originally triggered the investigation — namely, that a Bush administration official may have broken the law by leaking the identity of Plame, a CIA operations officer, to columnist Robert Novak. Libby was convicted, but President Bush commuted his sentence in July 2007.
During his investigation, Fitzgerald also was targeted by the left and The New York Times, which pounded away at Fitzgerald in its editorial pages, stating that “in his zeal to compel reporters to disclose their sources, Mr. Fitzgerald lost sight of the bigger picture.”
Among Fitzgerald’s other high-profile prosecutions: The 2006 conviction of GOP Illinois Gov. George Ryan, for steering state contracts in return for payoffs.
Having survived repeated prosecutorial run-ins with powerful people bent on breaking the law, now the question is whether Fitzgerald will survive the transition that brings the once-junior senator of Illinois to the White House. Ousting Fitzgerald could raise serious questions about the sincerity of Obama’s commitment to do away with old-school politics.
In September, the former senator who recruited Fitzgerald warned his protégé’s days might well be numbered once Obama moves into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
“My guess is if Senator Obama got elected, one of the first things that would happen is that they would remove Patrick Fitzgerald in Chicago,” the former senator told WIND’s John & Cisco In The Morning show. “And he’d have pressure to do so from all sorts of Daley administration people.”
Bill P. Marshall, a deputy counsel in Bill Clinton’s White House, tells Newsmax that it is rare for U.S. Attorneys to stay on after a shift in power.
Obama’s main task, Marshall says, is “returning some credibility to the Justice Department, but the point is if [Obama] keeps him on, that is the exception rather than the rule.”

Obama removed Fitzgerald from the case against Blago by “promoting” Fitzgerald to a higher position in the justice dept, that way Fitzgerald wouldn’t have to visit prison to play basketball with his buddy Obama.
Homicide case involving Daley nephew closed without charges
For the first time, the Chicago Police said Friday they know who hit David Koschman and knocked him to the ground in a drunken confrontation in the Rush Street area, leading to his death from a brain injury 11 days later — but they’re not telling.
They said they are closing Koschman’s 2004 homicide case without asking the Cook County state’s attorney’s office to charge anyone because they concluded the punch was thrown in self-defense.
Police reports made public Friday black out the name of the man who detectives concluded threw the lone punch at Koschman. But the descriptions they provided and accounts given by witnesses and others to the Chicago Sun-Times make clear it was Richard J. “R.J.” Vanecko, a nephew of Mayor Daley and White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley.

JUST A THOUGHT
Has anyone on this site ever seen a bus – hit -from-the rear accident? Everyone jumps out holding their necks hoping for a quick no expense settlement, even though they were rear ended by little Honda? Why can’t some of our legal eagles here work up a damages lawsuit against the unlawful USURPER and put such a cost on it that all the little greedy non birthers will think they might get something for nothing and become instant believers. I figure we have about 60 commenters here and we can let CW handle the money. At just $10.00 we would have $600.00 and I am sure we could come up with a good 1 or 2 page indictment with the damages caused by TARP etc. to us that would be astronomical and wet the appetite of the small greedy minds of the USURPER’S fawning group. Some Pro Bono would be appreciated.

Have to share this!
Remember Lee Iacocca, the man who rescued Chrysler Corporation from its death throes? He’s now 82 years old and has a new book, ‘Where Have All The Leaders Gone?’.
Lee Iacocca Says:
‘Am I the only guy in this country who’s fed up with what’s happening? Where the hell is our outrage with this so called president? We should be screaming bloody murder! We’ve got a gang of tax cheating clueless leftists trying to steer our ship of state right over a cliff, we’ve got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can’t even run a ridiculous cash-for-clunkers program without losing $26 billion of the taxpayers’ money, much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, ‘trust me, the economy is getting better..’ Better? You’ve got to be kidding. This is America , not the damned ‘Titanic’. I’ll give you a sound bite: ‘Throw all the Democrats out, along with Obama!’
CAUTION (especially to newbies). Freedom of Speech is a wonderful thing and an important American right. However, this right is particularly subject to abuse. Some on this blog hide behind this flag to take sniper shots at other posters. Please do not be confused by this or prematurely taken in. Read everything. Think carefully. Figure out who reasons forward from the facts and who frequently substitutes bullying for analysis. Also beware of people who blame Obama for everything. They have the same level of credibility as the people who tried to blame Dubya for everything. They detract and defocus from the core issues being discussed here. In fact, some who do this are active disinformation agents. The only way you can tell is to read and learn. And finally, remember the key to free speech: “Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts”. God Bless America.
FS – Lee Iacocca gave birth to the Ford Mustang, saved the Statue Of Liberty, and Chrysler. He was dynamic. In the 60’s I was just starting in business in Wash.,D.C. and I needed a house to rent as I was in an apartment. Friends of mine said there was a house available in Kensington, Md. It was owned by physicist working for the Atomic Energy Com. He was being sent to France for several years. The first day I walked out the front door, a nice elderly neighbor asked me “How does it feel to live in Lee Iacocca’s house? He was then famous only for the Mustang. He was being called back to Dearborn, Michigan for a much more important job and so had to sell the house. Sadly, they don’t make that model anymore.

Mark Levin: “The possibility of impeachment does not immunize the president from criminal prosecution. He remains, at all times, a citizen of the United States who is answerable to the law.”
Rush Limbaugh: “Obama can’t complain if we go Egypt on him because he said that’s how democracy works, that’s what he said on Friday. This is the way real democracy works, so he can’t complain if it happens to him, and it will.”
Concerned citizens in all fifty States should contact your Congressman, Senators, County Sheriff, District Attorney, State Legislators, Governor, and County Grand Jury Foreman and demand that they indict and prosecute BHO and all his local co-conspirators for any and all of the crimes committed by Barack Hussein Obama and his co-conspirators in your State.
If your local public officials will not do their duty and indict BHO, then citizens should form their own Grand Juries as provided by the 5th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. Then citizens should exercise their 1st Amendment Rights, as recently discussed by Rush Limbaugh, and march on the White House with thousands of Indictments of BHO and his co-conspirators in hand. Then it will be impossible for the mainstream media to ignore the crimes of Barack Hussein Obama.
As Rush Limbaugh said, “Obama can’t complain if we go Egypt on him because he said that’s how democracy works, that’s what he said on Friday. This is the way real democracy works, so he can’t complain if it happens to him, and it will.”

GIBBS ADMITS TO POSTING BHO’S FRAUDULENT COLB ON THE INTERNET
A is A or Don’t Put the Cart Before the Horse!
IF THE TREE IS POISON, SO IS THE FRUIT. So why would you destroy the fruit and not the tree?
If the foundation is cracked or askew, so will be the structure. So why would the structure continue to be built without first correcting the foundation?
If the POTUS is not legal, so follows all his policies and every action he makes. So why would any one ignore the POTUS and simply focus on his illegal policies. Isn’t that putting the cart before the horse?
There is only one issue and only one issue for any presidential hopeful to put forward. OBAMA IS NOT OUR LEGITIMATE PRESIDENT UNDER THE NBC CLAUSE OF THE CONTSITUTION. REMOVE HIM ON THAT BASIS AND ALL HIS POISON POLICIES WILL BECOME NULL AND VOID. THERE IS NO BETTER OR OTHER STRATEGY THAN THAT.
If a presidential candidate avoids confronting the NBC issue of Obama for fear of ridicule and not being elected—THEN HOW IS HE GOING TO STAND UP TO CHINA, RUSSIA, THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD, THE UNIONS, OR ANY OTHER DECISION THAT DEMANDS COURAGE AND FEARLESSNESS? HE ISN’T WORTHY OF THE JOB.
If any candidate hopeful ignores this primary issue—with the false logic “this is not a very important issue and therefore it is far better to focus upon his policies”—then that hopeful is clearly in the process of FLIM FLAMMING, SHUCKIN & JIVEN, AND ATTEMPTING TO CON THE PUBLIC. IT IS DISRESPECTUL AND DEMEANINNG TO BE ASKED FOR OUR VOTE WHILE BEING TOLD WE DON’T RECOGNIZE WHAT IS VITAL TO AMERICA.
The great November 2010 “shellacking” Obama claimed he got has turned into another useless Congress of elected officials working hard protecting their careers instead of their country. Look at Scott Brown, the Rino. What has the forked tongue Daryl Issa accomplished? Rugged John Boehner claims Barry was born in Hawaii, is a Christian and there are more important issues than Bo’s eligibility.
There are only a few short months until the election. THIS IS OUR LAST CHANCE TO SAVE AMERICA VIA THE ELECTION PROCESS BEFORE THE ISLAMO/COMMUNIST/FASCIST COMPLETE THEIR TOTAL GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER.
IF WE THE PEOPLE – SOON TO BE VOTING FOR THE PRESIDENT OF 2012 FAIL TO BOMBARD POTENTIAL CANDIDATES WITH DEMANDS THEY CONFRONT THIS ISSUE, THEN WE LOSE THE RIGHT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT WHAT WE GET AFTER THE ELECTION.
We must produce under ground news letters and leave them everywhere. We must unite of this single cause and send letters to all the wannabe’s that we demand them to confront this issue or they will not get our donations or vote. We must continuously repeat this effort via letters to the editors, to any and all political, civic, and other groups, to the state’s AG, Governors, each and every one of our Senators and Congress people, and any and all who will listen. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. IT MUST BEGIN NOW.

I agree with much of your post but if bo is not removed prior to the 2012 elections our Republic will be destroyed.
It is time to do as Rush said and “Go Egypt on bo.”
_ _ _ _ _ _
I agree with you he must be removed before 2012. He should have been removed within the first two months of office. However if we fail to remove him prior to the 2012 election, America is basically one election of being lost to the Islamo/Fascist. It might never recover for many, many years.
We must hope for the best plan for the worst and shoot down the middle. We need a running start in the event he will run. I list the three most important items we the people must focus upon:
1. Locate a fearless candidate who can defeat Barry.
2. Demand this candidate make the center piece of his campaign Zero’s eligibility under the NBC clause of the Constitution.
3. Organize a significant amount of watch dogs to over see the integrity of the election, prevent voter fraud, and be certain the vote count honest and not “RIGGED”.
If we focus upon these three items, we may have a good chance to defeat this crack cocaine thug.
BO committed fraud when he had his forged COLB posted on the internet and falsely alleged that his Long Form BC was on file in Hawaii. BO should be immediately indicted for fraud.
Contact your congressman, senators, County Sheriff, DA, State Legislators, Governor, and County Grand Jury Foreman and demand that they indict and prosecute BO and all his local co-conspirators for the Murders and False Imprisonment of Opponents of the BO regime, Birth Document Forgeries, TSA Sexual Assaults & Illegal Searches, Election Fraud, Voter Fraud, Identity Theft, Illegal Foreign Campaign Contributions, Aiding and Abetting of Muslim Terrorists, Poisoning of the Gulf of Mexico, Theft of Private Property, Embezzlement of Government funds, WikiLeaks etc.

Wait a minute here! No. 1 that you have listed is already faulty – right out of the box. How can an IMPARTIAL citizens’ grand jury be selected when you “advertise and promote the Fact that you are forming a Grand Jury to investigate government corruption…..”?
You have already defined the purpose of the grand jury and only those who want to “investigate government corruption” will apply. Any judge would throw out any presentments from such a jury as being BIASED. You talk big, Free Speech, but you lack soundness and consistency, sorry to say.
I’ve been too busy to post much lately but have been reading. It seems there is an awful lot of flailing around these days – all good intentions apparently, but not a lot of worthy substance, especially from those who should, by reason of background, be capable of better. Just sayin’.
Nothing faulty about it OBOT cabby. The point is that when advertising your Grand Jury you do not mention that any particular politician is targeted, OBOT cabby. Try reading, before you make a FOOL of yourself, OBOT cabby.

Dod Gammit – We need Lee Iocacca NOW. He asked where are the people to stand up against the USURPER. Amongst us we should be able to e-mail , call or write to him and tell him of our cause. I still remember him going onto the Mike Douglas TV show in the 70’s and introducing the Chrysler -Plymouth Voyager. He said on the show “I’ll stake my entire reputation on this car.” I went out and bought the car and several days later 100 shares of Chrysler Corp. at about $17 per share. The stock paid for the car in no time. WHERE IS LEE NOW THAT WE NEED HIM?
I do not know if it really paid off but as the 08 elections were going on I typed up around fifteen blog names on paper. I wrote on each one that they must go to each one of the blogs and find out the truth about Obama before they voted for him. I put a stack of them on the table of our Republican Party office. There was a lot of them taken! I have hoped that I helped to change some minds of people who thought that the Kenyan fraud was so great.
Maybe if we did this all over the US we could inform a lot of people the truth about the fraud in the White House.
I wonder what to think of people who call other people Obots when they disagree with them, or even worse, when they are too ill-informed to have a valid opinion.
I wonder what to think of people who believe they alone know how to distinguish an Obot from a Patriot.
I wonder what to think of people who consistently confuse facts and opinions.
I wonder what to think of people who publish many lies and expect the rest of us to take them seriously?
I wonder what to think of people who substitute quantity and repetition for quality and insight?
I wonder what to think of people who post nonsense from known sensationalists and disinformation agents and believe they are contributing to the cause.
I wonder what to think of people who are obsessively unhinged and apparently lack the ability of introspection.

That is a potential snafu and sticky point, but that is not the BIG hurdle. That would be what to do with an indictment or presentment if you were ever able to create one.
The ONLY place for it to go is into the same black hole the the various lawsuits have gone into. We already know how that works. Another method to (slowly, laboriously) get to the same place and the same solution is not only unneeded, but it is frivolous.
No we are not afraid of this succeeding. We are afraid of the giant waste of time and the possibility of some gullible citizens getting hurt.
We wrote (I think yesterday) a definitive essay on why CGJ’s are good, when and how they will be useful, and how to restore them into common use. For anybody wanting the truth and the bottom line to this issue, we strongly suggest this essay.
Other suggestions for near-term joy (common here) are just woodpeckering a very thick concrete wall. The self-appointed prophet of all such things is either delusional or just “playing with himself”. (And yes, I meant it just that way! Might be fun for HIM, but totally non productive.)
Rather than any of us being Obots, it might be that HE is the Obot – dishing out red herrings and mis directions.

That is a potential snafu and sticky point, but that is not the BIG hurdle. That would be what to do with an indictment or presentment if you were ever able to create one.
**************************
Oh, I do so agree with you, but that sticky point so grabbed me, because elsewhere we have been warned by the same voice that a judge would be very cautious and scrutinizing of a grand jury that was assembled in such manner. The essay, BTW, hit the issue squarely.

We’ve already had thousands of demonstrations by the thousands, including huge marches in Washington. The difference is that the lamestream didn’t cover them, or if they did they downplayed the numbers and demonized the protesters.

Then you have been living in a closet and have your head in the sand. There have been many REALLY GOOD essays and critical thinking on this blog alone that ABSOLUTELY DEMOLISH the idea.
Further proof is that the people pushing this the hardest have been promising “results real soon now” and “dozens if not hundreds of CGJs in operation all over the country” for the better part of two years and NOTHING has happened. Further there is no evidence that there are now any such or ever were.
Further, when said self-avowed prophet is asked important hard questions, he refuses to answer, or when REALLY pinned into a corner he says “I refuse to answer questions from Obots”. Now, that really sounds like a person who knows what he is talking about, doesn’t it.

‘Birther’ bill losing supporters
By April Hunt
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Some Georgia lawmakers couldn’t backpedal fast enough Thursday on a “birther” bill supported earlier this week by a majority of House members.
First to block out his name with a heavy black marker on House Bill 401 was John Meadows, chairman of the powerful House Rules Committee.
A steady stream of legislators followed all day. By 5 p.m., at least 23 of the original 93 backers were gone from a proposal requiring presidential and vice presidential candidates prove they were born in the United States. Among them was the bill’s lone Democratic supporter, Glenn Baker of Jonesboro.

Yes, it is a good article and it is a great idea. It is something that REALLY REALLY needs to be done.
But even the tiniest bit of critical thinking (as opposed to wishful thinking or magical thinking) will tell you that it won’t happen for a very long time. It has taken 150 years for it to get the way it is – especially since 1940s. It is going to take decades, if not generations, to fix it.
Therefore – IT IS A DOA IDEA as far as anything related to current circumstances. It doesn’t even take a major V8-moment to realize this, just the tiniest bit of objective reflection.

Great article and some really good comments about Dr. Paul and a run for PREZ in 2012….check it out……

Ron Paul deserves far more respect!
By Brent Budowsky – 03/04/11 03:37 PM ET
Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul, chairman of a major House subcommittee and a man with serious ideas and a significant base of support, deserves far more respect than he is getting from the media and pundit communities.
I predict that when the voting begins in the Iowa caucus and the New Hampshire primary, Newt Gingrich, Donald Trump and Sarah Palin will not be running. Neither will Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, though unlike those three he would be a serious presidential candidate if he decides to run, which I do not believe he will. The media darling of the month, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, will not be a factor either, because he will not run, and the pundits will move on to another flavor of the month long before then.
If he runs, I predict again that Ron Paul will be one of three Republican finalists, and if the other two are close, he could be a kingmaker. So why doesn’t Ron Paul get more respect?
Paul has serious ideas that have become a significant factor in our national discussion. He has intensely loyal supporters who will come out to vote. He has enormous potential to raise money. The most recent money bomb for Paul was a major success. He chairs a major subcommittee with potential to regularly raise his issues and influence the debate.
As presidential candidates I think Gingrich, Trump, Palin and Christie are nothing more than media hype and will not be players in 2012. Ron Paul will be a serious player, one way or the other. He deserves far more respect from the political chattering class.
One of the great comments about Dr. Paul
BY Dave on 03/04/2011 at 17:43
Congressman Dr. Ron Paul might be America’s last chance to save itself. In a House full of cronies and tools on the take, Ron Paul is a breath of fresh air…and after two decades, we are FINALLY paying attention. I highly recommend his book “The Revolution”. It’s quick, easy, and extremely informative.
Look at the psychotic mob of fascist RP supporters chase down Sean Hannity. Don’t you just love the fascist’s flag waving? Paul attracts unstable and dangerous loons like flies to horse manure.
Totally agree with this person……
BY Ricardo on 03/04/2011 at 17:55
Brent, you asked “So why doesn’t Ron Paul get more respect” from pundits and the media?
We both know the answer. He would bring about real change, unlike Obama, who is basically a more intelligent and refined Bush at this point. The people that love this status quo own all the major media publications and virtually everyone in DC. The very idea of Ron Paul becoming President terrifies them. He would be the first real President this country had since JFK, and if the country woke up and gave him 4 years, he would turn the ship around and get us headed in the right direction towards fiscal sanity. We’d also be out of the wars and not propping up dictators in the middle east. I am convinced that that the Democrats and Republicans just want to play good-cop/bad-cop every four years and take turns maintaining the status quo and unsustainable path, breaking a trail of campaign promises along the way. The reason Paul has as many supporters as he does is because of the volumes and volumes of writings and videos where he says the same thing over and over again and has been proven to be correct virtually every single time with his warnings. As soon as more people realize how popular Ron Paul’s ideas are, they will say “I always liked him, and he CAN win!”. When that happens, tens of millions more people will be joining the Ron Paul Revolution, and there will be nothing the status quo can do to stop the people from awakening from cognitive dissonance. And that is why every attempt will be made to squash, smear, or distort Paul before that happens. I dare say it’s already too late.
More great comments from ” critical thinkers”…

I agree that Ron Paul will be one of three Republicans still in the presidential race after New Hampshire.

At the last Republican debates in 2008, Mitt Romney and others sneered at Ron Paul when he predicted the recession. All he has said has come true.
I hope he runs next year, he had my vote. He is extremely knowledgable on economics, is pro life, wants to get our troops out of the many foreign countries where they are no longer needed and wants us to take responsibility for ourselves. A good moral man. We need him for president.

A-M-E-N !!!
Paul WILL run in 2012 and he will, undoubtedly, prove to be more of a force than he was in 2008. As a consequence, the establishment, media, talking-heads and pundits will double-up on their efforts to both malign him personally and marginalize his candidacy. I can only pledge my commitment to do all I can to counteract those efforts. I trust there will be millions like me who see the importance of bringing Paul’s message to the fore and raising his candidacy to the level it so rightly deserves.

As we have seen in the recent news headlines, revolution is hard to stop once the ball gets rolling. Ron Paul represents an about-face on several issues, but more importantly he brings honesty and integrity. There is no question about where he stands, which largely drives his appeal. People are tired of politicians that say one thing but do another. It is sad in a nation of visionaries, we only have one man on the hill with true vision and belief in his ideals.
“We must produce under ground news letters and leave them everywhere. ”
I agree! I say we do ANYTHING to get the word out. I have sent out info about the sissy-in-chief in many ways.
Save all of your mail that contains “postage paid envelopes”….fill them to the brim with info about the usurper. His lack of bona-fides–his communistic bent–his support of unions over working people who pay their own way.
I have even targeted black churches…FIND their addresses locally! They usually are against abortion–target them with the usurper’s abortion zeal. Tell THEM about Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger and how she wished to decimate the Negro race!!! ( Don’t use your return address…and, mail from another town’s post office…where you work, or the next county.)
The time is NOW to use ANY means necessary to get the word out. If you get Mid America News, or NewsMax, leave the old copies in your dentist or doctor’s office, with your address BLACKED OUT or cut off.
Contact your Secretaries of State….let THEM know WE know of soros’ attempt to buy them. Tell them, we’re watching them.
http://spectator.org/archives/2009/12/04/soros-eyes-secretaries/print
Scare the crap out of your cashier at the grocery…ask them if they are “hoarding” food; do the same to anyone you meet for business. If they are perplexed, explain what an EMP is and that the government is buying up pre-packaged food for FEMA…I DON’T think FEMA is buying it for victims of floods…they are buying it for elitists and government workers.
Talk to the people you do business with…the people you buy gas from in the convenience store; the grocery; the people who walk your dogs, the people that clean your carpets.
I don’t CARE if people think I’m strange for doing this…you might be helping someone prepare, if the sh*t hits the fan, and, you may be making some dolts think, for once. They just might hesitate before putting this POS back in office in 2012.

ABC’s Jake Tapper blogs about Ron Paul/Hillary Clinton foreign policy
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpu…strongmen.html
Rep. Ron Paul, R-Tex, has made a career out of being the contrarian in Congress, and with uprisings sweeping across the Middle East he took the opportunity today to point out one of the inconvenient truths of American foreign policy: its support across successive administrations for key Middle East leaders who ally themselves with the United States in a difficult region, yet do not respect basic human rights and democracy in their own countries.
“A lot of people in this country have come to the conclusion that our policy overhaul has been inconsistent; that sometimes we support the bad guys and the bad guys become our enemies,” Paul told Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during a hearing of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
Rep. Paul pointed to America’s support for Osama bin Laden when he was fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan, its collaboration with Saddam Hussein against Iran in the 1980s, and its propping up the Shah in Iran for decades before that.
“But we keep supporting Algeria, Morocco, Yemen, all these dictators, and yet we pretend that as soon as, well, it looks like the dictator might fall, we’re all for democracy and we’re for freedom and we’re against these dictators,” he said.
Indeed, Egypt’s longtime strongman President Hosni Mubarak was a close US ally, and someone Secretary Clinton once called a close friend, but as it became clear the protestors were gaining the upper hand last month, the Obama administration began urging him to embrace reforms and eventually supported a transition to democracy.
Clinton was quick to point out the complexity of a region where the United States has numerous, often conflicting, priorities.
“Congressman, you make a very passionate argument, and my response is that, you know, the United States, over the course of its entire diplomatic history, has had to make some very difficult decisions,” she said.
“We try to balance what we believe to be in our interests. Sometimes, and I would argue most times, we get it right. Sometimes we don’t,” America’s top diplomat conceded.
However, she used the case of Egypt as an example of when US support for a government is necessary, regardless of how imperfect it is.
“I believe that it was in America’s interest and in Israel’s interest to support Egypt following the Camp David Accords. Thirty years of peace between Egypt and Israel — albeit, you know, not a warm and fuzzy peace, but nevertheless a peace — was an essential element of Israel’s ability to develop and continue to strengthen itself in a very tough neighborhood. The fact that we did have those relationships in Egypt made it possible for us to have very frank conversations and prevent what we now see going on in Libya,” she said.
Rep. Paul is not the first person to notice this contradiction. Secretary Clinton’s predecessor, Condoleezza Rice, actually argued a similar point during a seminal speech on democracy in Cairo in 2005.
“For 60 years, the United States pursued stability at the expense of democracy in the Middle East — and we achieved neither,” Rice said.
There’s also video. “I think a friend bought is not a friend.”
Good stuff. Positive coverage in the media on something other than economic policy.
Mrs. Rondeau replies: Has anyone taken a criminal complaint to the FBI or a federal grand jury?
Leo P H says:

Sharon,
Orly took criminal information to FBI and US Attorneys Offices in several cities. However, since they work for Obama and Holder it is highly unlikely that they will do anything. I have researched this issue for over two years now and the Federal Grand Jury is not the route to take, even in the unlikely event that a US Attorney would accept a presentment. Without getting into technical legal details, I can assure you that State Grand Jury Indictments are the only viable means to bring Obama and his local co-conspirators to justice. State Grand Juries accept criminal presentments, Federal Grand Juries do not.

I not talking about Ron Paul here. You have bought into the media ‘s assessment That Obama is smarter than Bush. Why? Don’t change the subject.
From an email from Dick Morris:
The FCC is planning to cripple talk radio. Not by the fairness doctrine, but by something far worse – threatening to close down stations themselves.
Their offensive takes three forms:
a) Shortening the licensing period for radio stations from the current eight years to four. This change gives the FCC power of life and death over stations while Obama’s appointees are still there.
b) Requiring 25% of talk stations’ programming to be locally produced. Since it costs vastly more to hire a talk show host than to subscribe to a national show, many stations can’t afford it. The result will be forcing many stations to give up talk radio entirely.
c) Requiring stations to establish community advisory boards.
These boards, composed of “community representatives” will report to the FCC on whether the station is satisfying the needs of the community. Ratings won’t matter, the opinion of these activists will. With their predictable liberal bias, their reports will provide the basis for an FCC denial of licenses to conservative stations.
The FCC also wants to be able to fine stations for failing to comply with the community board advice, a lesser punishment, with the fines going to NPR!
All these measures have one aim: To extinguish free speech.

This is frightening! My local station WINC had a locally produced show in the 6-9 am slot that they had to drop, I’m pretty sure due to the cost. Thankfully they replaced it with Bill Bennett. I get Rush and Hannity later in the day.
BTW, I’ve been thinking lately what a huge debt of gratitude we all owe Rush! I dare say, there would not be as much alternative media if not for him. He was the trail blazer.
This is off topic I suppose but I read this at the Daily Mail….
FBI to reopen case against sex offender friend of Prince Andrew (Jeffrey Epstein): Duke may be forced to claim diplomatic immunity to avoid questioning.
This pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein, had close ties to Bill Clinton and Al Gore as well.

Obama wants to get rid of Gadafi because he has been telling the truth all along about Obama, that he is a Kenyan and a Muslim. Come on, it’s plain as day. Obama wants Gadafi gone for this reason.

Mrs. Rondeau replies: The Post & Email is doing its best to find the truth about Obama’s past, which includes all his records. There has been plenty of coverage here about his having a British-citizen father and therefore being a British citizen himself. Others have written about it as well. The mainstream media refuses to cover that point because they know that it is a disqualifier, in my opinion. That’s why they stick with the birth certificate, which is really irrelevant.

Sharon,
Orly took criminal information to FBI and US Attorneys Offices in several cities.

Good Point. Like Blago, Gaffadi has very incriminating evidence on bo. Remember that “rev” wright and farrakhan can be directly tied to Gaddafi and terrorism and of course they are directly tied to the musbro Terrorist-in-Chief bo.

JS and FS are exactly alike. Foaming at the mouth and whipping dead horses. To a certain extent JS speaks for herself. EVERYTHING she has ever fixated on has turned out to be laughably wrong. FS seriously needs to see a “paranoid doctor”, as well. Perhaps some medication would help in his case. But I’m afraid JS may be beyond the help of medical science.

Why are the obots attempting to tie sex offender epstein to Bill Clinton and algore? Have Clinton and algore been testifying against bo?
Notice how the obots are always trying to divert attention from incriminating proof of bo by posting off-topic red-herring diversionary BS.

You bet, SueQ! I have a couple of friends who don’t get any news from any other source than Rush, and they are pretty well informed. I remember when he did a short stint on TV back in the late 80’s, on CNN, I believe. It was before Fox came into existence. That was when we first became acquainted with him.
Attention – Michelle Bachman to be interviewed on NBC NOW. I wonder if David Gregory will ask her about the eligibility question and believes the USURPER is a NATURALIZED citizen?

Anyone know what happened with the USSC case March 4, 20111 Hollister v Soetoro? I haven’t seen anything. Stay strong, keep fighting for Truth and Justice, God Bless.

Contrary to the BS posted by obot FOS, there is very little doubt that the Hollister case will will be denied a Writ of Certiorari.
FOS. My point to JS last night went right over her head, that being she doesn’t read or contemplate any thing that she posts. But she instead dug her heels in, changed the subject, lashed out and her mind eventually went into meltdown. My experiment is complete.

Again you OUTRIGHT LIE. My associates and I have been saying for months that the USSC is corrupt, including the conservatives. YOU on the other hand have been saying that there are Patriots on the court and they are getting angry enough to do something.
Your revisionist history is as bad as the Libtards we complain about. Are you sure you are cut from the same cloth????

Would you please explain for us in objective rational language – how it is that YOU are the one that falls for every cockamamie space-cadet nonsense that comes within view – and WE are the ones that are fools?
JS. You don’t just comment on Ron Paul’s vision. You post other people’s opinions, most of whom you don’t even know I assume and you tell us that you totally agree with them. I don’t think that you even fully contemplate them and that was my point.
This board has become absolutely sophomoric..I had first graders that exhibited more maturity..
There was a time when readers could count on viewing this blog for relevant information and links to latest national and world news…

…You will never get the fraud out of the office…not ever!! TPTB put him there; TPTB will take him out.
So, here’s some real news:
END of the USA-the elite are in charge. $200 a bl/oil
http://www.americanpreppersnetwork.net/viewtopic.php?f=121&t=8961&p=81687#p81687
Part I:
OPEC made an agreement with all oil nations except Iraq and Iran in the 70′s.
This was accomplished by our president agreeing to not produce any oil here and buy only OPEC oil, as they agreed to buy our T-note, federal reserve bonds.
The ELITES are destabilizing the oil nations to intentionally take the oil barrel prices to $200.
The standard currency in a sense isn’t the dollar-it’s crude oil- and the elites have been sponsoring the MUslim Bro. since the 70′s, as long as they hold our federal reserve bills and we don’t produce oil here.
But, the elites in 2012 will reneg on the deal, leaving the Arabs holding worthless dollars; therefore, oil will be cut off to us leading the need to open our wells and produce here.
Remember when Pastor Wms’ dying friend said watch Russia and China??? forget about the ME????
China made an agreement to buy all Russia’s oil (huge oil wells there)so China will not be affected by this mafia-style deceit and will remain independent of the U.S–they don’t need our oil.
Part II:
The elites staged the riots in Cairo, hoping the riots will spread throughout the M.E.
The elites want disruption of oil so they can get the crude oil prices up to $200 a barrel, the true objectives behind the staged riots.
With this taking gas prices to $7/$8/$9 dollars a gallon, definite economic collapse will happen for sure here and worldwide.
Why???
Because for years, the U.S. has had fields of oil deposits here —everyone knows they have been drilling, finding oil, capping the well, and moving on.
Four oil wells here…503 billion barrels in Montana, South and North Dakota, the Balkans..light sweet crude, easily processed
Stanberry, has 2 trillion barrels
Gull Island at Alaska, huge
Wildlife Refuge…undetermined
The elites objective is to drive the oil price up to cause total economic collapse here, then buy EVERY piece of commercial and residential real estate here(and world wide) and enslave us.
If you don’t have food, water, alternative cooking/heating, guns, ammo, medical supplies, lots of extra gasoline, oil lamps, cash, and much more..you’re already too late.
