“In about three months, deposed Gov. Rod Blagojevich will again stand trial, and he says he has no plans to cut a deal.
As WBBM Newsradio 780’s Mary Frances Bragiel reports, in between the fiery rhetoric about his opposition to the recent state income tax increase, Blagojevich spoke about his upcoming trial and continues to proclaim his innocence.”
““This case is upside down. They lied about me. They couldn’t prove a single corruption allegation, and we didn’t even put a defense on,” Blagojevich said.
A jury deadlocked on 23 of 24 counts against Blagojevich last month, convicting him only of lying to FBI agents. Federal prosecutors are going forward with a second trial on the other 23 counts – including allegations that he tried to sell or trade an appointment to the U.S. Senate seat vacated by President Barack Obama.
Blagojevich calls it a “grim” duty to have to prepare and go to trial for a second time on April 20.”

This is an excellent article on Grand Juries.
It supports a point I have been trying to make – against a headwind of confusing information, or sometimes outright disinformation.
The constitution supports (yea, demands) Grand Juries – with POWER – as a primary method to exercise the sovereignty of We The People.
But the process currently broken. We need to fix the process. We need to pound on it from as many directions as we can – education, awareness, legislation – perhaps even as extreme as civil disobedience.
But, in the end, this has nothing relevant to do with our present national crisis. Once we get the system fixed, then in the future, yes. But right now, is seems a severe misdirection to mention Obama Eligibility and Grand Juries in the same sentence.
Can Obama be prosecuted for crimes? Via a Grand Jury process? Perhaps, especially via a “traditional” institutionalized GJ. But I don’t think any “institution” has the remotest interest in tackling a sitting president.
What about a run away jury or a self-formed Citizens Grand Jury. See above. The system is broken. Nothing can come of this. The most that could possibly happen is that a new way will have been discovered to be denied on the basis of standing or jurisdiction.
My suggestion is that we focus our efforts elsewhere. Somewhere that has a chance of working. It is not clear what that is. But if we all collect our energy in figuring this out, we will be closer than if we just spin our wheels and throw dirt.
That is my OPINION – hopefully with enough REASONING that others can analyze and judge for themselves – and I’m sticking with it. I don’t care about theory. I care only about practicality.
On the other hand, if someone can show an example of any CJG that has done anything of national, or even regional, significance in the last 50 years, then perhaps some revisions of opinion would be in order. Similarly we were assured over a year ago that there were dozens or even hundreds of CGJ’s (properly and legally constituted) that were underway. A year seems like ample time for results. If we had an update of actual truth and progress, that might be helpful as well.

You know, if they would get a backbone and just flat out say that such questions are unhelpful, at best, and are like even severe national security concerns – so knock if off already – – –
I don’t know what I would do. I don’t know what most of you would do? Would you still push anyway?
But at least it is an answer. This continuous lying, obfuscating, and ignoring the issue is insane. It makes them look like idiots. It also induces a whole other kind of national security problem.
Having this hanging over things is the WORST POSSIBLE DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL CRISIS. I don’t know why they don’t understand this. If I understand it, they certainly should. Look, at a minimum they could say:
“Hey people – Soetoro/Obama/whatever worked with the CIA for a number of years. In that capacity it was necessary to scramble his records and create a “legend” for him. So, no it is not easy to sort this out. And we are not going to waste our time with this.”
I don’t know if this is true or not. I hope it is not true. But it would certainly quell the crisis. So maybe I’m just afraid that this is what they will do – sooner than later.
Zen has a key concept – if there is no solution, there is not problem. There are several ways to make this happen in practice.

It is extremely puzzling as to why some of these politicians say more than they would really HAVE to say when interviewed. Why the strong affirmation, “I believe Obama is a U.S. citizen.”? Just like Beck a few weeks ago when interviewed by O’Reilly, when he turned to the TV audience and said (without really having to say it), “Obama was born in this country”, or something similar. I know that Beck and Cantor are not on a par, but, regardless, the same situation seems to exist.
I do believe that we should continue the drum beat as each feels led, BUT I do see a problem with immediately chastising and alienating those in Congress for not taking up the eligibility cause. It is obvious by now that they have their reasons. Perhaps, just perhaps, those are reasons they cannot share with us? Sometimes I think that we as citizens believe we have a right to know EVERYTHING that those in high places know. The strong influence of the internet has contributed much to that concept. Sometimes it has been a force for good, and, also a force opposing good.
What should our attitude be towards those newly elected to Congress? We seem to be expecting more than they may be able to give at this moment in time. Remember, their feet are being held to the fire to start reversing as much of the damage that Obama has done as quickly as possible. That is their prime concern at this point. Maybe they feel that getting mired down in the eligibility issue NOW would only impede that progress.
I know and understand the feeling that if he can be shown to be a usurper, then all that he has signed will be null and void. However, are we really SURE that he is NOT qualified to be President? People are relying on quotes from “Dreams From My Father” that Obama, Sr. is his father, thereby proving that O is not an NBC, but how do we KNOW that narrative about his roots is really true? What if his real father was a U.S. citizen and not Sr.?
It is absolutely abominable and wicked that O has hidden all of these records and not leveled with the American people. That is a given, but for us to put all of our eggs into the basket of the eligibility issue and neglect what Congress is now trying to achieve with upcoming investigations is probably not prudent.
Keep up the attacks on all fronts, but please don’t throw in the towel in disappointment, and don’t unduly vilify those in Congress who already have their hands full trying at the legislative level to extricate us from this mess. (Just my thoughts and opinions)

Read 42 page opinion and dissent. Interesting argument suggesting words mean what they are defined as. For awhile I was questioning the subtle difference between being a ‘resident of’ versus ‘residing in’ a place. This opinion suggests the law and Constitution show these are different. The opinion doesn’t mention it, but I felt all candidates ought to be held to a similar standard as are applicants for city civil service positions, such as police and fire. Apparently the majority here did not feel Emmanuel deserved an exemption. As a layperson it seems to me a strong opinion. Not sure it will be sustained in the most corrupt State of the Union. Should be very interesting. Emmanuel is going to have to spend a ton of his money pot on lawyers.

Good points. Freedom of a speech is a double-edged sword. It is hard to get it right. We cannot tolerate government control of speech – so that makes it especially open to abuse. Many scoundrels hide behind the shield of free speech. That makes it especially important that we police ourselves.
Just keep the discussion on the facts – and note and understand difference of opinions. But, the line has definitely been crossed when people run out of arguments and analysis and resort to calling other people names.

A LITTLE ALLEGORY
In the 1957 movie “A Night To Remember” about the sinking of the Titantic, there is a scene with the Captain and the ship’s builder. They decide that since the first 5 water-tight compartment have been breached, the ship was doomed and we all know what happened. Many years later after the wreck had been found there was much speculation about what could have been done. It was determined nothing could have been done except that they could have slowed down the sinking, thus giving more time for more rescue ships to arrive. This could be done by opening the remainder compartments thereby allowing the ship to sink in a more level and slower way, giving more time to rescue more survivors. I think our Government has decided that our country is like the Titantic and they are going to spend all they before we sink and like “rats on a sinking ship” they will grab all they can for themselves. In 1970, Timothy Geithner, his sister and mother visited relatives in my neigborhood, and became friends with my two sisters. One late summer afternoon, I was sent to retrieve them an witnessed a conversation between Tim and his sister about Barry’ religious studies, many, many names and his mother’s plans to send him to HI to live with is grandparents. However, the reasons for PERPETUATING the coverup may have morphed into something more than what we are privy to. That is the point I wanted to make. We just cannot get into the heads of these people. We can try and we can beat at them, but with there be the outcome we are expecting?
I think our best hope along that line is to still keep working at it with all of our might, because public awareness is growing the more we keep the subject in the forefront. With all due respect, my comments were not for anyone here to call them Obots, because I do not know of an OBOT blogging here, I don’t even use the term Obot. But, yes, my point is that if you can’t get along with someone, ignore them. This is not a difficult task. I chose everyday to pick my battles wisely and getting into heated exchanges is not something I will do over someone calling me names. I do believe that since the election is coming up, the more CW exposes Obama, the more Obama worshipers will show up and try to discredit his work and words. But, the courts have basically ruled no one has standing to take him to court, so how far could she have gotten if she tried that? Come on Free Speech, quit attacking Mario. He thoroughly explained his reasoning about why he is right. You have never explained your position other than saying “Well, Mario is still wrong”. This is just a milder flavor of name calling.
He took the time to write out his logic. You do not get to call him names or claim superiority without writing out an equally compelling explanation. “Opinion” is not just saying the same thing over and over. “Opinion” can certainly start as a random comment, but it needs to eventually stand on it’s own two legs. Mario put legs under his. Time for you to respond appropriately.
Also, the major argument against USSC ever dealing with this is that they have had plenty of opportunity if they wanted to. You are right the none of the cases have been perfect – so that makes it easier for them to run and hide. But that is no excuse. They hear flawed cases all the time.
Further – BIG SECRET – they don’t even need a case. They could institute a hearing on their own cognizance. They could take one of the other cases and say, we cannot grant the relief requested, but we can and will order discovery and announce a declaratory judgment. There are many many ways to proceed. There are also many ways to make excuses.
It is very clear that if they were going to do something, they would already have done it. After all, as you say – this is of the gravest constitutional significance. If they actually believed that, they would find a way. Hell, the would clear their desks and do nothing else.
Now – in a pure world I should not have to make this caution. This is the place where you usually explode. You take every disagreement with you, not as another’s freedom of speech, but a personal attack on you. So, resist the temptation to lash out. Instead, if you want to interact with me, please use logic and reason and explanation at least as complete as I have done.

Either way BO loses on the NBC issue, i.e., either he has a BC that makes him the son of a British/Kenyan subject making him a British subject at birth or he has a BC that makes him the son of an Indonesian citizen and a citizen of Indonesian. Either way BO is not constitutionally qualified to be POTUS.

None of the lawyers whose cases were dismissed made a Constitutional Contract Argument, but I agree a prevailing civil case will need a Plaintiff with the Stature of Congressman Issa, Sen. 1. Recognize where the problem is. You thought yesterday that I was baiting FS. If by disagreeing with him, you mean “baiting”, then I am guilty. But I thought we were allowed freedom of speech and open dialog. I disagree with FS a lot, but it is a matter of a law of averages. Some people here I agree with almost never, others sometimes, others more so, and others a lot. Somebody has to be average on this scale, some people are above average, and some people are below average. It just so happens that FS is way down my list. I have found over the months that he and I agree on very little. I think it is important to have balance. If I had the time, I would post a rebuttal to each and every post he makes that I don’t agree with. As it is, I am able to do it only about 1 in 10. But that is all what it is. I do not see that I am the bad guy because I disagree with him. After all, it could be him that is wrong? We need to allow for that possibility.
2. You and CW need to come down as hard as possible on bullying, name calling, lies, and misquotes. There is no excuse for anybody here starting down that path. Those are NEVER under any circumstances valid substitutes for civil discourse or logic. Come down HARD, even to the point of “penalty box” or “time out”.
3. I don’t know what your intention was – but other people than myself noticed that over the last two days, your comments, while addressing the whole spectrum, feel as they are biased toward FS. As a proof of this, even FS has several times profusely thanked you for smacking down his enemies. If this is what he understands from your messages, I think your messages are not working. I don’t wish to write exact words, but I would hope you could say something less ambiguous.
4. When this problem reached a boiling point before, the encouragements from the “can’t we just all get along crowd” did no good whatsoever. I don’t have the exact quotes handy, but people can confirm that my paraphrases are close – Somebody asked us to swear off the hostilities. I immediately responded that in the interest of letting the broth cool, I would not only comply but even swear off disagreeing with any body for a while. FS’s response was very near to “hell no, I will not forswear smacking down the obots”. The only thing that even helped a little was for people such as yourself – who were dead set on helping – was to make immediate after-the-fact posts that critiqued a post just made. As in, “please, we requested no name calling”.
5. I wish you also to clearly understand that I have nothing to do with the uncivil behavior. In the aforementioned previous crisis – I even voluntarily left off posting for some weeks. AND NOTHING CHANGED. Except several of the best and most patriotic posters here got brutally attacked for the simple reason of disagreeing.
6. Finally listen to Mario. In the community of people trying to fight the usurper, he has experience and credibility out the roof – second to none.

The link is valid, but no judge will touch it. It will be knocked down every time until the right person gets in front of the right judge, namely ISSA, IMO! No other case had stood on merit or standing. Sad, but true!

None of the lawyers whose cases were dismissed made a Constitutional Contract Argument, but I agree a prevailing civil case will need a Plaintiff with the Stature of Congressman Issa, Sen. I was a Dem until election frauds of 08 then PUMA, now Tea Party, had to write in Mrs. Clinton as a protest vote due to the FL awarding DNC nonsense. Although the researchers have uncovered much material I believe that there is more-I am reserving all judgement on R, D, Tea Party, etc. until I see who is running. Did the selfish ones ever think of the veterans of all of our wars-deceased and wounded and their family and friends? God rest their souls.

I know you don’t like me much either – and that’s OK, but I wanted to state that this is one of the clearest and most direct and most needed pieces of advice given. I hope SSOO reads it.
I would only add one more thought – people dispensing legal advice, ESPECIALLY IF OF THE PROFESSION – need to be extremely careful about suggesting things that will endanger people’s lives.

I am at present in a somber state of mind regarding where our country is headed and find little faith in leaders. Until we get a true leader, this is our reality. I have to go for now, I have to many things on my agenda this evening. Please be respectful, limit posting the same thing over and over and if you can’t get along with someone, ignore them, do not attack with verbal words, it only takes away from the work of CW and we should not discredit the man that gives us this forum!

It is our understanding that employers are not allowed to base questions on a person’s legal residence status based on their appearance or on the way they speak.

Here is one of the things I was talking about. FS is the FIRST ONE to violate a polite request and spit in your face. You know that he just recently defined “obama cheerleader” as an Obot. You know this is his biggest insult – equivalent to “scum of the earth”. You also know CLEARLY what “champions of losing legal arguments” means. This is a direct and frontal assault on the Patriot Mario Apuzzo and myself who is a big Mario fan. I have asked FS many times in the last several days, nicely, for him to quit pizzing on such a hero. I am about to ask un-nicely.
Sugar coating insults is being just as respectful, but adding the impertinence of being juvenile on top of it.
We are just getting sick of it. It is precisely this kind of behavior and none other that is dragging down this blog. This is what is turning CW’s fine place into a mess. Until this addressed – and we proved it before – THIS PROBLEM WILL NOT GO AWAY – it just morphs into various shapes.

Former Hawaii elections clerk Tim Adams has signed an affidavit swearing he was told by his supervisors in Hawaii that no long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate existed for Barack Obama Jr. in Hawaii and that neither Queens Medical Center nor Kapi’olani Medical Center in Honolulu had any record of Obama having been born in their medical facilities.

Agenda 21 is another UN Treaty/ agenda, first agreed to by Bush 41 in ’92. Bush and Clinton could not get Senate to ratify it so Clinton signed on to it by Presidential order, first sustainability bull begins to be pushed on us. The goal of this one is use the false Global Warming to usher in the UN One World Gov. They must use cause they can vilify anyone who might oppose. Every bit of this agenda- sustainability garbage is about the destruction of America as we know it. US is using up all the energy and must be stopped, before we destroy the world, before the third world countries get their chance to do it, and get rich also. Sustainability is all about no growth, or negative growth for the US, and “Sharing the Wealth” with other nations we have mistreated! And we will be the ones to finance it through international taxes /cap and trade, movement of jobs/ manufacturing, etc, UN will decide how much we will pay next year as they see fit. Minimum of 2% of GDP. The end of All private land ownership, we will all be moved into the cities, can’t continue to drive into our jobs and use all this fuel. We will need permission from the Gov to travel to other cities, by trains. No more roads, they have been “Re-wilded”. All rivers will be of limits, 75% of country will be “Re-wilded” with no habitat by Humans. ( we had cars in the 1980’s getting 60 mpg, I used to work on them, when the new ones now max @ 45mpg what progress is this, EU has a new diesel Ford getting 65mpg, but we can’t have them here?)
Most of the bills being passed right now that we are screaming about are tied to Agenda 21 in some way or steps toward the UN One World Gov. They must kill our economy and take our guns in order to fully implement this take over. They have already dried up a 400 mile Ca valley that was supplying 25% of our fruits and vegetables. Because a 2″ minnow was getting caught in the pumps supplying water to this irrigation system. Animals will have more rights than humans. Sustien has placed 1600 more species on the endangered list.
