Health Care Bill religious exemptions, Muslims
I am still trying to get answers on religious exemptions to participation in the so called Health Care Bill. I have been getting feedback that various religious groups getting preferential treatment may be the basis for some of the lawsuits. The American Thinker site posed this question regarding Muslims several days ago.
“Amish, Muslims to be excused from Obamacare mandate?”
“Apparently, this exemption will apply similarly to believers in Islam, which considers health insurance – and, for that matter, any form of risk insurance – to be haraam (forbidden).
Steve Gilbert of Sweetness & Light calls our attention to the probability that Muslims will also be expempt. According to a March 23 publication on an authoritative Islamic Web site managed by Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid, various fatwas (religious decrees) absolutely forbid Muslim participation in any sort of health care or other risk insurance:
Health insurance is haraam like other types of commercial insurance, because it is based on ambiguity, gambling and riba (usury). This is what is stated in fatwas by the senior scholars.
In Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah (15/277) there is a quotation of a statement of the Council of Senior Scholars concerning the prohibition on insurance and why it is haraam:
It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah (15/251):
Firstly: Commercial insurance of all types is haraam because it involves ambiguity, riba, uncertainty, gambling and consuming people’s wealth unlawfully, and other shar’i
Secondly: It is not permissible for the Muslim to get involved with insurance companies by working in administration or otherwise, because working in them comes under the heading of cooperating in sin and transgression, and Allaah forbids that as He says: “but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment”

“The act’s religious exemption is a per se violation of the Establishment Clause in that it vests in [the national government] the right to determine what is a recognized religious sect entitled to exemption under the act, and thereby discriminates between and among religions by preferring a ‘recognized’ religion over one deemed not recognized,” the suit says.
The Thomas More Law Center suit raises a similar argument but says the new law violates the Fifth Amendment’s guarantee of equal protection.
“By providing some religious exemptions from the mandates of the Health Care Reform Act, but forcing [objecting religious individuals] to contribute to the funding of abortion in violation of their deeply held religious convictions, defendants have deprived plaintiffs of the equal protection of the law,” the Thomas More suit says.
The Liberty University suit says the new law places school officials in the position of having to choose between upholding their religious convictions or complying with government mandates.”

In a press release just handed to Fox by the FBI, the six Michigan residents, two from Ohio, one from Indiana are charged with “seditious conspiracy.”
Reportedly, Hutaree is accused of attempted use of weapons of mass destruction. Charges range from August 2008 to today.
The militia group Hutaree are said to have conspired to oppose by force the authority of the US Government.
The members viewed local, state and federal law enforcement as “the brotherhood,” also known as their enemy, and have been preparing, the FBI says, to engage them in armed conflict.
According to one plan released by the FBI, the group was to kill a law enforcement officer, then during the funeral precession, hit again with IEDs to kill more LEOs.

How about if you consciencely object, like the draft. This is becoming a separation of church and state issue. If i’m a part of an organized relgious group ‘approved’ by the government, then I can out of health care. This is exactly the people can to American and founded the United States, they got sick of the government specifying approved religions!. I think it can be easily argued that if you are in one of these designated groups then you are in more priviledged class (with the government then favoring those religions)

I should clarify my comment about McCain and Palin. If McCain has been supported by Soros, just as BHO has been supported by Soros, then it is possible his pick of Palin was not “approved” by Soros. Maybe Soros was leaning buying a McCain presidency. However, when the “maverick” McCain went of the Soros reservation and picked Palin, he ticked off the globalist, internationalist Soros. At that point, Soros had to throw his support to BHO even tho a BHO presidency was more risky because of his ineligibility. Bottom line: the 2008 election was two card monty until McCain picked Palin.

I Read your post, and it brings several questions to mind. First- Since when does ISLAMIC LAW supercede US Constitutional law? Who is saying ,or otherwise implying that the Musalims are exempt from HC coverage. If these people expect coverage for FREE I am thinking that there are going to be an awful lot of extremely hostile people in the US,m and it might become much more.

So fill me in on what was actually the crime committed – “plans”?
Now, the lawsuits against the healthcare bill cannot go forward because no one can claim “harm” since nothing as yet as been put into motion – even though the signs are already that docs are leaving based solely on the “plan” for rationed treatment and recompense, thus leaving folks without good care, and the market is already being controlled just by the speculation of the results of this bill, thus already harming the investments of individuals (and their retirement plans, etc.), but nothing can be heard until something actually is put in motion.
Go figure.
Peter – I like Palin, but I’m not sure she is presidential quality. She is great in many ways, but there have been times where she looked very shallow (politically and intellectually). My concern was magnified when she went to Fox-in-the-hen-house news and when she campaigned for Soros-supported McCain. As of right now, I consider her a mixed bag. I would like to wholeheartedly support her, but I am holding back for now. Maybe she will shake off some of the doubts that her recent actions have stirred up in people like me. I’m a born Texan and not easily fooled, not gullible, not impressed by flash. She needs to leave Fox and leave her buddy Beck (the controlled opposition) in the dust. Glen Beck is TOXIC WASTE and no one with a political brain should get anywhere near Beck or anyone on Fox news for that matter.

that was passed by Congress on March 20, 2010. Among them, is the establishment of a civilian army that can be “involuntarily” called into service during

Wednesday, I had the extreme pleasure, along with regan dwayne, of signing an order to the men and women who occupy the office of Governor of each of the incorporated States of the United States Federal Corporation, and a second order to the armed forces of the United States of America, restoring lawful governance of, by and for the sovereign People. Yesterday, a day that will live in history, all such office holders were served with a warrant arresting their bonds, thus the de facto office of Governor has been re-absorbed into its de jure counterpart as an operation of law, and the occupants thereof are operating under the provisional de jure bond of the sovereign People. Most of the governors have been alerted to expect service.
Also yesterday, the armed force were served notice of the return of lawful sovereign (“civilian”) authority. And that the People have assembled as fifty well-regulated militias and reinhabited de jure grand juries in all American republics. As of Monday, the presumption of authority by private corporate actors impersonating public officials under color of law is pre-empted by lawful “civilian” authority, effectively ending the era of illicit corporations posing as legitimate governments. Finally, the children are free.
Upon delivery, all parties will have been informed that the sovereign People have EXPRESSLY accepted their respective state constitutions and the Constitution for the United States of America, circa 1787, as BINDING CONTRACTS upon them. They will be under orders to end state-sponsored terrorism against members of the sovereign People. They will be required to provide sovereign ID and passports. The governors have mere days to subscribe the new oath of office. They have been assured that the People do not intend to trespass on the rights of others to elect subject-class citizenship, thus ensuring a peaceful and non-violent transition. Our military public servants have been instructed to extend every reasonable effort to encourage repentance and forgiveness.
In light of concerns by the members of the De jure Grand Juries, and after discussions with some of the Elders, Tom assumed the role of lead contact for the armed forces and I had the honor of assuming the role of lead contact for the governors, Secretaries of State and Attorneys general for all of the republics. These were natural positions for both of us, and for which the Lord has groomed us with the richness of our lives’ experiences.

Don’t you think it is strange that the FRAUD took a surprise trip to Afghanistan at this time when his family is at Camp David…..maybe he is getting wind of what is about to come down and does not want to be in the country when the gauntlet is thrown down to him…..I would not be surprised if he leaves the country for good…..his family may not even know that he was a secret agent at one time!!!
You raise a reasonable point, Jacqlyn, and there are times I actually feel sorry for the innocent children of Ogiggles as he masquerades about as an unknown entity prior to 2004, who somehow “won” the last election (2008) on a message of hope & change. You can construct the most airtight case on the planet, but until somebody is able to bring our Federal judges back to reality, halt the abuse of the courts, and those seeking relief via the courts the abuse WILL continue unabated. Nor will any case, no matter how airtight,or damning it may seem, be allowed into ANY Federal court. This eliminates most of the NORMAL avenues of procedure. It also leaves “very few options”. We face a totally corrupted court system, and it is quite obvious that NONE of the Federal judges are ever going to permit any action to go ANYWHERE, anytime soon. Nor do I see the SCOTUS ever becoming involved with any action that contests Soetoro’s eligibility. He must be stopped from being able to run for a second term somehow. There is also another stumbling block now in place, which didn’t exist before. The fact that nobody was ever successful in bringing any action against him can now be translated as precedent. Since he was not removed from office , the DNC will probably stand on that premise, and make the case that he “must be eligible” because nobody brought any action to remove him from office during his first term. So until we have a HONEST FEDERAL JUDGE who is willing to see our Constitution as the law of the land, and uphold it as such leaves little doubt in my mind that it is unlikely anything will change soon.

Stay informed and inform others for now….that is what I try to do…..we are all finding out that email our representatives and calling has had very little effect…..all branches are compromised…..we have to find a way to break through….I think the GOTR are on the right track and the cheerleading is sometimes necessary to give people hope that we can someday get our republic back…..I pray for the GOTR that something can be done peacefully and without violence….if not….then so be it….it is and has been in the hands of the Lord since the beginning…..that is why the Guardians started this quest…..they believe the Lord called on them to find a way to restore America to it’s freedoms and liberties…..Prayer at this time can be very powerful!

I get the impression this is a new “angle” and a new report from the one Napolitano previously issued.
It goes on to say what we’re seeing now is similar to the 1990’s etc. (In case you didn’t know, Bill Clinton was really the first Black President). This report, though, has a new twist about Veterans returning home. Instead of saying this time (as the last report) that they were mentally unstable and likely to form “anti-government” groups, this report claims that they are targets for recruitment by “right-wing Extremists” because of their military skills.
Yet, The Serve America Act (still in legislation), which aims to have 250,000 AmeriCorps members by the year 2017, also states that Veterans with these skills are ideal for recruitment into national service under this Act (page 234):
‘‘(ii) recruiting veterans, particularly returning veterans, into service opportunities, including opportunities that utilize their military experience;
So, the DHS reports echos exactly what is in the Serve America Act, but instead of serving the government, they would be serving “right-wing” extremists. So i guess both the DNC (sponsoring this bill) and “right-wing extremists” want these guys for their skills according to the Serve America Act and the DHS report. Go figure!
The rest of the DHS report goes on to explain these “conditions” causing an increase in hostility towards the govenment etc. There is a small section on “Disgruntled Veterans” too (now looking further down in the report).
The first report of this nature put intense pressure on Janet Napolitano for releasing it. Will she get the same scrutiny for this report?

I still wonder if this report is referenced to make a point that the “new legislation” is recruiting the very people this report sees as a “threat” [i.e., Veterans].
First, they were considered anti-government and now, there is a chance they may be recruited by “right-wing extremists.”

The Superior Courts are as corrupt as their Federal counterparts. Point in question, disposition of case filed in DC Superior Court against Obama. DISMISSED per defendant’s request. Where I reside there is also a growing recognition that these courts are also compromised. Anything political is usually quickly thrown out resultant of trumped up allegations, of either procedure errors, or alleged invalidity. This state went Liberal last year. The capillary roots are permeating our state government as well. This is coming,and it is getting easier, and easier to see that soon it is going to effect ALL states. Then STATES RIGHTS will fall soon thereafter. This will be the beginning of the end to our Constitution, and a guarantee of our captive slave status soon thereafter. What you have articulated is the very reason why I home-schooled my daughter. I quickly found out what their “game” was, and I refused to allow them to “indoctrinate” my child!

I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, called upon America to unite behind Obama. Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen that I AM NOT uniting behind Obama!
I will respect the Office which he holds, and I will acknowledge his abilities as an orator and wordsmith and pray for him, BUT that is it. I have begun today to see what I can do to make sure that he is a one-term President!
Why am I doing this ? It is because:
– I do not share Obama’s vision or value system for America;
– I do not share his abortion beliefs;
– I do not share his radical Marxist’s concept of re-distributing wealth;
– I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make $150,000+ (the ceiling has been changed three times since August);
– I do not share his view that America is arrogant;
– I do not share his view that America is not a Christian Nation;
– I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%;
– I do not share his view of amnesty and giving more to illegals than our American Citizens who need help;
– I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage;
– I do not share his views that Radical Islam is our friend and Israel is our enemy who should give up any land;
– I do not share his spiritual beliefs (at least the ones he has made public);
– I do not share his beliefs on how to re-work the healthcare system in America;
– I do not share his strategic views of the Middle East; and
– I certainly do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes such as Iran.
Bottom line: my America is vastly different from Obama’s, and I have a higher obligation to my Country and my GOD to do what is Right!
For eight (8) years, the Liberals in our Society, led by numerous entertainers who would have no platform and no real credibility but for their celebrity status, have attacked President Bush, his family, and his spiritual beliefs!
They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs and their philosophies, and they never came together nor compromised their personal beliefs for the betterment of our Country!
They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated except being intolerant!
They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years!
They have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the founding and growth of our Country!
They have made every effort to remove the name of GOD or Jesus Christ from our Society!
They have challenged capital punishment, the right to bear firearms, and the most basic principles of our criminal code!
They have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms, the right of free speech!
Unite behind Obama? Never!!!
I am sure many of you who read this think that I am going overboard, but I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are the embodiment of Evil!
President Bush made many mistakes during his Presidency, and I am not sure how history will judge him. However, I believe that he weighed his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers!!!
Majority rules in America, and I will honor the concept; however, I will fight with all of my power to be a voice in opposition to Obama and his “goals for America.” I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our Country!! Any more compromise is more defeat!
I pray that the results of this election will wake up many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed the Socialist-Marxist anti-GOD crowd to slowly change so much of what has been good in America!

2. Regardless of whether they are right or not, our political system (and most of the rest of the world) is set up to prevent a tiny minority of having too much sway.
3. Ask yourself what you would do if you were a Governer and got one of these “notices” from somebody you had never heard of.
4. Mainstream media – all national and all major markets – would have to be totally in agreement with this and totally pre-briefed. This is who the sheeple will believe.
5. Anybody currently in power would not go quietly.

You are correct Rocknee….they were notified in advance that this was coming down….it was my understanding that they wanted to have these ready in the middle of March but because they didn’t have all the jurors in place in all 50 states they had to wait until the end of the month…..as of last week they were all ready to go!

MA wasn’t one of the ‘opt out’ states (CA, FL and PA??) mentioned and I find it impossible for our less-than-illustrious ‘governor’ Cadillac Deval Patrick to be on board with this.
Deval is Barky’s BFF, and there was talk after the election that Barky would relieve us of this boil-on-the-butt governor, bring him to Washington and place him in some high-level token job. It didn’t happen, but these two are a little more than casual buds.
This is why I’m having a hard time with the concept.

It looks as if it is not just state attorneys general that are filing a lawsuit against the new health care law recently passed by the Democrats and signed into law by President Obama. The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) put out the following statement:
The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) became the first medical society to sue to overturn the newly enacted health care bill, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). AAPS sued Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia (AAPS v. Sebelius et al.).
“If the PPACA goes unchallenged, then it spells the end of freedom in medicine as we know it,” observed Jane Orient, M.D., the Executive Director of AAPS. “Courts should not allow this massive intrusion into the practice of medicine and the rights of patients.”
“There will be a dire shortage of physicians if the PPACA becomes effective and is not overturned by the courts.”

On Feburary 26, the House ethics committee ruled that Rangel had violated House gift rules by accepting reimbursement for travel from Carib News Foundation to attend conferences in 2007 and 2008. Since corporations underwrote the conferences it was a direct violation of the House gift rules.
Rangel also used four rent-stabilized apartments – three as his primary residence and one as campaign headquarters. Additionally, he failed to report income from renting his beach-front Punta Cana villa in the Dominican Republic. And now, this tax evader and former author of many tax rules is sending his constituents reminders for them to pay THEIR taxes.

I received the letter I posted below in my e-mail today. I know the person it came from casually. I wouldn’t call them a friend. I’ve never discussed politics with this person before, but I was aware of their leanings.
What brought me together with this person was a terrible financial scam that they and a family member of mine fell victim to. I have helped this person out with information in the attempt to recover lost money, and I’m glad I was able to help.
This is what the DEMS are spreading around in e-mails these days. I find this kind of creepy…..

Violence, hate, hypocrisy does not help repubs
Standing up in the face of violence, hate rhetoric, and flat out acts of sedition are essential for Americans to retain a free democracy.
When some of the Tea Party/Republicans act out, shouting the N-word, spitting on politicians, cutting gas lines, and threatening via fax, phone, mail, and the internet, it is not acceptable.
The internet has many examples, video, pictures, and evidence of the racism, bigotry, and “fear and smear tactics” of some of the most horrendous Tea Party/Republican actions.
Their own RNC fundraising documents said that sending out scary messages was their primary tactic of raising money (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/33866.html).
Even when John Boehner belatedly offered a token speech saying that “violence and threats are unacceptable”, he still made sure to preface that by blaming the victims of the hateful crimes committed by some of the Tea Party/Republicans.
Some right wing leaders (and their Fox propaganda network) are even denying and lying about the overwhelming evidence of the actions that they have helped to fuel. That is, at the very least, tacit consent.
I thank the politicians who had the courage to stand up for healthcare reform, and the Democrats who go to work every day trying to get things done, in the face of overwhelming GOP obstruction.
The Democratic Party doesn’t quit work at 2 p.m. or hold procedural temper tantrums.
Why would anyone waste tax dollars on frivolous and fruitless lawsuits against a tax, which Congress is legally allowed to levy?
It doesn’t make sense to take the GOP seriously when they admitted themselves that repealing the healthcare law is just about political gain. President Obama still has veto power. In fact, many Republicans were in favor of the same healthcare proposals in the past. The mandate they are harshly criticizing now was originally a Republican idea (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/03/27/republicans-were-for-obam_n_515743.html).
I could take the Tea Party/Republican arguments more seriously if they weren’t behaving in such a violent and hypocritical manner. Or if so many of their leaders and loudest speakers weren’t on government assistance themselves (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/28/us/politics/28teaparty.html).
Healthcare reform will reduce the deficit and make our country healthier. We need financial reform. We have to support our troops as we end the wars. The Democrats are working on governing. The GOP is collecting a paycheck and healthcare out of our tax dollars for doing nothing.
If the Tea Party/Republicans didn’t like the deficit borrowing for war under Bush, if they were “pro-life” and pro-rights for the already born, or if they cared about liberty when Bush was wiretapping, I would believe that they were serious about their protests. But any violence, hate, and hypocrisy does not help their cause.
Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have made a FORTUNE perpetuating (black) racism; without it they are nothings!
Im still waiting for an apology from them when that black college student accused 5 white students of rape. That turned out to be a hoax, but you never heard a word from either of them
And where are they in the Black Panther voter intimidation case?????

Ya know, the more different groups form ‘exclusive’ organizations the more polarized they become. Miss Cuba USA, Miss Black America, the KKK, etc.
How can America be a melting pot with this kind of thing going on? It only serves to alienate people because we’re forced to see people as only members of these groups.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: Barky has set race relations back to pre-1950s levels.

I signed up to be a juror a long time ago and I have done the research on this group. If you understand theis country’s real past and how we got where we are today you will begin to understand what this is all about.

I agree, Kidmon. I don’t know if you’re old enough, but I am and was fortunate to see Dr. King’s speeches ‘live’ back then. He was the ‘Great Motivator’ and if people didn’t come away with that after hearing him, the entire ideal was lost.
He was a truly great man, and listening to him was an honor. I think, however, that his message has been muddied over the years. This may sound odd, but I’m glad he’s not around today to see his vision turned upside down.

Frank Rich spent many years as the theater critic for the New York Times, where, at worst, his venom could cause a Broadway production or two to close down.
Now, however, Mr. Rich opines on political and social issues for the Times, and, while the results are usually mildly amusing (even if unintentionally so), his reach has grown a bit, so the damage he causes can travel beyond the footlights. I’m not sure why anyone turns to Rich for political analysis—heck, you might as well read the rantings of a TV game show host—but the Gray Lady continues to pay him for his weekly column, and, at the rate she’s bleeding money, that’s no small sacrifice.
Anyway, Mr. Rich has apparently been able to get to the bottom of the vocal opposition to the “healthcare reform” bill that was recently …

Has he done or said anything either before or after the election of 2008 that would give us the idea he cares for America let alone the American people?
We are all painfully aware of the many videos that detail his empty promises on this/that and provide proof how he obviously proceeds to do the exact opposite. The evidence is there for all to see and yet, the MMM [as SueK calls it] ignores it.
Had the MMM accurately covered and exposed this bogus “candidate” from the primaries to the general election, he would not have received one “valid” vote.
Unfortunately, investigative journalism died, and we lost the ability to educate the masses about this “Fraud.” I am certain this was the intent of the “powers that be.”
It is obvious to me as I am sure it is to you, Bob, and all here, the Tea Party Movement is a threat to him so he has to “debunk” its effectiveness in his own mind through his empty rhetoric. We the People know better, and we are not going to fall for his empty promises and lies. Nor are we going to believe anything that comes out of his lying mouth.

Western Civilization and the Economic Crisis: The Impoverishment of the Middle Class
In the past few decades, the middle class has been forced to survive on debt. In order to maintain the image of middle class, and to maintain the functions of the middle class (i.e., to consume), the middle class needed access to credit and had to descend into a class of debt. Now, as the world is undergoing a rapid social, political, and economic transformation, the middle class has been marked for death. As a debt crisis takes the nations of the world into debt servitude, the middle classes of the western world will lose their access to credit, and will be forced into repaying their debts. As nations fall under a debt crisis, the middle class will collapse with it. A class built and sustained on debt is not sustainable. We are entering into a period of rapid class transformation on a global scale.
In August of 2009, Bank of America released a report in which they explained, “The consumer debt problem in the economy really is a debt problem for the middle class. The need to work off a chunk of that debt will sap middle-class families’ spending power for perhaps years to come.” The twisted irony here is that institutions like Bank of America encouraged and facilitated debt-based consumption, and engaged in far riskier debt-based transactions on a global scale, which caused the global financial crisis. Subsequently, the banks, like Bank of America, were given a blank check by the government that bought their bad debts, and are now going to charge the taxpayers, of which the Bank of America report states they need to “work off a chunk” of their own personal debt. They forgot to mention that the taxpayers would also be paying off the bankers’ debts, too.

Also I want to bring to everyones’ attention that I have learned of a new effort by the FED to completely monitor the internet,and IP service companies. The tipoff occurred as a result of Verizon now being in association with Yahoo. Yahoo has been a known place of monitoring, because of it’s popularity. Since ALL IP Companies are regulated, they are also monitored with focus on content, name, and address of users, and commenters on blogs as well. The office honcho at Comcast told me that they have been instructed how to monitor without generating an offense against the law. This IS a mandate of the FCC. According to the Comcast spokesperson the FED is really tryng to get control of the BLOGS, and the person,or persons operating them. Doing this certainly is not my idea of a good way to win people over. The Comcast person stated that electronic surveillance is being done 24/7 by Comcast as ordered by the FCC, Otherwise they could lose their liscensure. I have long suspected that this is being done by Verizon as well, but I only recently gained the confirmation of it actually being in progress. So be advised if you use either Comcast or Verizon as IP service you will be monitored. Further I personally believe that if both Verizon and Comcast is being required to monitor, there is a strong probability that many more IP service companies will be doing likewise.

Given the foregoing, it seems that this administration and its allies are purposely targeting its critics in a manner which it hopes will demean them as fringe players, thus stoking the poisonous whisper campaign that the Tea Party movement and other critics of Obama’s policies represent a fundamental and violent threat to the United States.
Thus we have been given a glimpse into a brave new world in modern day American politics, one in which dissent becomes conflated with violence at the topmost levels of government. If the first 14 months of this administration seemed a challenge for the conservative majority, Obama’s intolerance of any level of criticism will make the remainder of the term memorable on several fronts.

His role in the Harry Reid senate race is of significant interest, as polls suggest he might take away enough votes from the GOP candidate to give the election to Harry Reid with little over 36% of the vote.
Mr. Ashjian’s troubles are starting to mount. His contractor’s license was revoked just days ago. He is also being sued by the Independent American Party in Nevada who claim to truly represent the Tea Party movement. They are the traditionally libertarian presence in Nevada.

Obama Signing Reconciliation Health Care Bill With No Fixes for Abortion Funding
Under the health care bill Obama signed, there is no ban on abortion funding. While some states can opt out of funding abortions under the plan, taxpayers in other states will be forced to pay for them.
The bill contains other pro-abortion problems that are concerns for pro-life advocates.
It requires that at least one health care plan be promoted across the country that pays for abortions, more abortion funding would come via the affordability credits, and many of the so-called limits on abortion funding are temporary and could expire or be overturned at a later date.
The bill also pays for abortions under the Indian Health Service program. And it contains the Mikulski amendment that would allow the Obama administration to define abortion as preventative care and force insurance plans to pay for abortions.
The new health care law provides millions in funding for Community Health Centers without any prohibition on the money going towards abortions.
Finally, the bill does not contain language needed to offer full conscience protection for pro-life medical workers and facilities.
Those problems were theoretically solved with an executive order Obama signed in exchange for votes from some pro-life Democrats in the House– enough that the passage of the bill was ensured.
However, pro-life groups have said the executive order is worthless. They say an executive order can’t trump federal law, doesn’t address all of the abortion funding problems, could easily be overturned in court and could be reversed by Obama or a future president any time.
As a result, they say the new pro-abortion health care law is the greatest expansion of abortion and abortion funding since the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that saw the Supreme Court open the floodgates for 52 million abortions.

I cracked up laughing when I read this. Duh, and double duh. The Tea Party at least half of us are Dems maybe more. I can’t tell you exactly what Obama is: to me he is a South Side hood, slum landlord, with Communist, Socialist, Nazi, Fascist leanings a real potpourri of all of their worst traits. Just expect more harrassment if you are a conservative. Since nothing exact will be written down (only “guidelines”) re: just how much health care is deemed enough, they can just make it up as they go at your expense.
If someone saves and opts out for better care, willing to pay for it, be assured that somewhere they will find a way to fine you for not “contributing”. You’ll be taxed twice to “encourage” you to join up with the crowd.
