How can you tell when a president is in trouble on a big issue?
When politicians of his own party avoid appearing with him when he’s in their home area.
Take yesterday. President Obama appeared in the Philadelphia suburbs to once again campaign for his health care takeover. He delivered the usual falsehoods – for example, Fox News reported that the president claimed $868 billion in savings that is simply a made-up number. He promised that his plan will not cost small businesses more, when everyone knows costs will skyrocket on small businesses.
And three Democrat congressmen from the Philly area – Murphy, Carney and Holden – did not appear with the president from their own party.
These three Democrats did not stand beside President Obama on their home turf, despite the fact that Obama carried Pennsylvania and their region in the 2008 election.
They know what we know: The American people have turned against this corrupt Washington health care takeover. The polls clearly show it, with every reputable poll showing strong majorities against the legislation. These congressmen have their ears to the ground in their districts, and they hear the powerful grassroots anger. It’s anger against the president’s arrogance in continuing to push a health care takeover while ignoring job losses and a still-faltering economy, despite the fact that the American people have clearly said, “Keep Your Hands Off My Health Care.”
We’re just days away from a crucial vote in the House of Representatives. Despite all the big talk from Speaker Pelosi and the liberals, they STILL DO NOT HAVE THE VOTES to pass their health care takeover.

They’ve put everything on the line for their ideology, as flawed as it is.
The question for us is: will we do the same for our values, our freedoms and our nation?

Roberts: Scene at State of Union `very troubling’

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts said Tuesday the scene at President Obama’s State of the Union address was “very troubling” and the annual speech has “degenerated to a political pep rally.”
Obama chided the court, with the justices seated before him in their black robes, for its decision on a campaign finance case.
Responding to a University of Alabama law student’s question, Roberts said anyone was free to criticize the court, and some have an obligation to do so because of their positions.
“So I have no problems with that,” he said. “On the other hand, there is the issue of the setting, the circumstances and the decorum.
“The image of having the members of one branch of government standing up, literally surrounding the Supreme Court, cheering and hollering while the court — according the requirements of protocol — has to sit there expressionless, I think is very troubling.”
Breaking from tradition, Obama criticized the court’s decision that allows corporations and unions to freely spend money to run political ads for or against specific candidates.
“With all due deference to the separation of powers the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests — including foreign corporations — to spend without limit in our elections,” Obama said in January.
Justice Samuel Alito was the only justice to respond at the time, shaking his head and mouthing the words “not true” as Obama continued.
Roberts told the students he wonders whether justices should attend the speeches.
“I’m not sure why we’re there,” said Roberts, a Republican nominee who joined the court in 2005.
Justice Antonin Scalia once said he no longer goes to the annual speech because the justices “sit there like bumps on a log” in an otherwise highly partisan atmosphere. Six of the nine justices attended Obama’s address.
Roberts opened his appearance in Alabama with a 30-minute lecture on the history of the Supreme Court and became animated as he answered students’ questions. He joked about a recent rumor that he was stepping down from the court and said he didn’t know he wanted to be a lawyer until he was in law school.
Asked about the Senate’s method of confirming new justices, Roberts said senators improperly try to make political points by asking questions they know nominees can’t answer because of the limitations of judicial ethic rules.
“I think the process is broken down,” said Roberts.
While Associate Justice Clarence Thomas told students at Alabama last fall he saw little value in oral arguments before the court, Roberts disagreed.
“Maybe it’s because I participated in it a lot as a lawyer,” Roberts said. “I’d hate to think it didn’t matter.”

All Americans are literally crime victims of the government. . . .still, there are millions of Americans who are totally blinded to the life threatening danger they are in. They will be the first to be led to the slaughter.

It becomes obvious why the Fed simply can not allow rates to go up. It has nothing to do with excess liquidity, which of course is a major concern as America goes from one excess-liquidity bubble to another. The problem is that the surging budget, which will need ridiculous amounts of debt for funding, will truly explode if rates were to go up merely to 5%. What happens if rates hit 7.5%… or 10%? At that point it is game over. And that sad ending will occur once the Fed and the administration realize that all ongoing efforts to kick start a consumption driven economy will fail. In the meantime, the economy will slowly grind to a halt as the servicing of public debt takes over a greater and greater portion of all tax receipts, until all taxpayer money is used merely to cover the interest expense. At that point buying CDS on the US denominated in euros, dollars, gold, .556, watermelons, or what have you, will be completely pointless as the bankruptcy of the US will be entirely priced in.

I love Chef Ramsey-I love his Restaurant rescues too, that’s the business end of things. He finds so much waste and Chef Ramsey has a real thing re: filth-near food, so important. I waitressed to put myself through college-you learn a lot-great customer service skills, taking good care of your patrons, fighting with prima donna chefs/bartenders (in the minority thank God) how to deal with customers even if they come in with a chip on their shoulder, how to diffuse fights (suburbs of Chicago) it’s a guy thing-take outside guys and much etc.
Hot tempered little maniac Chef Ramsey really is: not great on patience but he is there for a very important reason-to save your restaurant and possibly make it a big success. I loved his plain, simple good food. I watch it because Chef Ramsey is just like my father they always tell you the truth sometimes in stereo, but you learn, in my case don’t push your father too far.
Anyone who thinks we are seeing a comback of conservatism,need to keep watching because what you see in November is going to give you reason to REALLY dance and sing. For a while I’ve had the feeling that *the* long form BC was being fabricated, with the full cooperation of the Hawaiian government.
I may be wrong, but I’ve had dreams of it being released. They wanna shut the American public up; this is why each and every Hawaiian official hedges when asked questions, or is presented with a UIPA request.
The dirtiest of the dirty garbage is centered in Hawaii, I think.

The “powers that be” do not want us to know IMHO. If we knew before the election, no one would have voted for him. While some people admit they voted for him, this was a “selection” aided and abetted by fraud.
I agree on the network idea; so many had to be complicit in this blatant “cover-up.” However, as you say, his life story just does not add up, and it has been proven he was photo-shopped into many of those pix with which we are all familiar. For example, the basketball team pix; he is so much larger than anyone else in the picture…like maybe, he was older.
Someone or some group of someones went through a great deal of trouble to “create” a life story for someone who was pre-selected. I wonder, though, if those someones are happy with their creation since he has pretty much bungled everything he has touched.
I wonder, too, why they would have “chosen” someone whose IQ was no higher than 50.
I also do not feel comfortable with him anywhere near the “red” button. He is “explosive” and “infantile” and like Rush, I think he will say something without TOTUS in a moment of frustration or anger that will reveal to everyone exactly how he feels. It won’t be pretty watching him implode in front of God and everyone, either.

Facial Recognition Test? Surely, someone in this vast country knows how to do that or maybe, someone has already done that and been censored.
The photos have been analyzed. For example, in the photo of pp with his alleged Dunham grandparents, it appears he was added to the pix…look at Grandpa Dunham’s arm. This was a picture taken of two people on a bench, not three says the analyst.
BTW…what would a Facial Recognition Test prove? Would it prove he was or wasn’t related to the family in the picture?
One analyst claims that sometimes a person does not look like his/her parents; sometimes they look more like their grandparents or another family member such as an aunt/uncle.

I have seen the photo shop doctored up messes. I was thinking due to age progression are they all the same people, or where others used. Seems to me Obama went from a round face child to much thinner later and his mother with the school uniform looked like a totally different person. I think the insurance companies are all about the money, not about the care of the insured……they are just as guillty and complicit in abuse and waste as any …..as long as the end justifies the CEOs of their huge golden parachutes, would they care if their companies went bust and added thousands to the unemployment list??

Michelle, the govt can maintain low premiums for a while, subsidized by taxpayers……..but after a while, if the taxpayers all stop paying or revenue isn’t coming in due to business closing then the govt premiums will increase due to those low, subsidized primiums that aren’t subsidized with our tax dollars any longer.

Jesus had a special sense of mission to poor and oppressed people. At the outset of his ministry, sometimes referred to as Jesus’ mission statement, Jesus stood up in the synagogue at Nazareth and read from the prophet Isaiah:
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Luke 4:18-19)
The biographies of Jesus depict him repeatedly reaching out to those at the bottom of the social pyramid–poor people, women, Samaritans, lepers, children, prostitutes and tax collectors. Jesus was also eager to accept people who were well-placed, but he made clear that all, regardless of social position, needed to repent. For this reason, he invited the rich young man to sell all of his possessions and give the proceeds to the poor. (Matthew 19:16-30, Luke 18:18-30, Mark 10:17-31)
Jesus commanded, “Love your neighbor.” When asked to define “neighbor,” Jesus expanded the traditional meaning of the word–defining our neighbor as anyone who is in need, including social outcasts: “But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed.” (Luke 14:13)

If more people would live by the “Golden Rule,” they wouldn’t be engaged in discrimination against the poor or Americans, either.
It sounds like the “elite” are imposing their own set of rules as far as the poor are concerned.
BTW…did you know that pp is giving his Nobel Peace Prize money to charities?

Don’t feed the homeless? That is terrible! We have several homeless tent cities in the woods around us here. One man had an old bus that he converted with a washer, dryer, shower, etc. & would make his rounds to help them. Some stupid regulations found something wrong with it & shut it down.

As I was reading what Jesus was saying I was thinking Yes, they are poor and we are oppressed (Constitutionalists) , Thank God Jesus is looking out for us. How soon they forget. When Hurricane Andrew hit that area in 92, it was demolished, devastated. The people of Florida rallied and maybe other parts of the nation too and donated much needed food and water-tons of material . What I am trying to say is: who knows when one of us will be on the receiving end, I’m sure most people would rather by on the giving end. What purpose is served by being mean and nasty to poor people anyway? If you don’t want to give, don’t give-if you do want to give and fulfill a corporeal act of Mercy that’s fine too. Many of the “rich” today were once upon a time very poor themselves, creativity, initiative got them out. Scam artists that pretend they are poor, different story or groups that collect for the poor and give the poor .01 and keep .99 they are really low.

How kind and creative of that man to modify a bus in that way-the crime of just trying to help people who are down and out at this particular time of their lives. I wonder how many of the homeless were veterans?, victims of bad luck, I’m sure some have a few mental issues, had a nervous break down, divorce-just many reasons. If you can’t/won’t help then don’t hinder.
Michelle: In fact, my son & his friends who were always making trails & jumps in the woods to ride their bikes on came upon a homeless man & befriended him. I found out about it after the fact. They were bringing him food & supplies. They found him dead, burned to death in his campfire one day. They called the police & they almost tried to implicate them in his death.

All I can say is…Shame on Them!
It seems to me there is a “mindset” in this country that is bound and determined to “kill” both the body and the spirit from the unborn to the homeless to the elderly…a real “Culture of Death.”
I put the blame on the bums in Congress and the “head bum” for all of this misery that has befallen our beloved country.
However…”Vengeance is Mine Saith the Lord!” God help them; I cannot change minds and hearts; only He can.

Michelle: Well, the man had a bottle of vodka next to him & even the plastic chair (which my son took from our house to give him) was melted. But there was, reportedly, a rash of reports of some youth beating these poor souls. I was very proud that my son had a good heart in helping. I don’t care why these people end up like that, life happens.

I heard this on the news tonight, hit by a semi not a good thing. I imagine they were in a world of pain, but I’m sure they are on some powerful pain medication. I hope Mrs. Reid and her daughter will be ok, they will both be on the mend for awhile.

Mind boggling isn’t it, over 200 years without a dictatorship-well we are all much smarter now or should be.
As stated, I presume these crooks will still do this as that is what crooks do, but it is nice that the GOP actually read the law and received a confirmation that the Obama Congress can’t do what it is doing.
Gee I guess that is why for over 200 years no one in Congress until these Obamacrats got into dictatorship roles tried it.
