Sorry bringing this over so Sue K will see it. Remember Lyme disease tests are very inaccurate. Even the CDC says Lyme tests are just for reporting lyme. I tested negative twice. Glad to see you are sending lab to CA. Hoping it’s to IGENEX Lab because they specialize in tick diseases. My specialist uses IGENEX with the Western Blot test. Even then you only have about a 70% accuracy rate. Wish you could get to a specialist…other doctors have no idea what they are doing….I saw 11 different doctors.
FYI— lyme disease is the great imitator. MS ,bi -polar, ALS, lupus, autism, fibromyalgia, alzheimer’s, parkinson’s, chronic fatigue are just a few of the diseases that can actually be Lyme disease. My specialist says many people diagnosed with these conditions actually have Lyme. The right antibiotics can cure.

He’s merely asking for an actual vote on the bill. He’s not stopping the bill. A simple majority will pass it. It is not a filibuster.
The reason that the dems don’t want to vote, but rather just pass it based on senators ok, is that it will show that their paygo bill is a sham. So, they paint this as a filibuster and slime republicans as heartless. When, all they would have to do is have an actual vote on the bill and get a majority. Piece of cake, but it would show them for what they are, in light of the paygo provision.

Hi Vicki, and thanks for chiming in-I appreciate your info!
I told my local hospital to call IGeneX for their protocols on the complete Lyme screen and also to get their free kit that shows what the specific procedures are. I even gave them the phone number.
They did some of screening tests locally and despite my telling them to get the PCR test and IGG/IGM Western Blot to IGeneX, they sent it out to some lab in Salt Lake City. Not what I told them to do!
I’ve been researching Lyme and know that it can mimic other diseases, even down to the plaques in the brain that are typical of MS!
I must say that I’ve been on the antibiotic, Augmentin (which is an Amoxycillin/Clavulanate combo) to knock out this ‘flu’ bug I had. It’s a 14-day course of treatment, and I’m on day #12. I have to tell you that I’m feeling better and my legs are working again.
What I plan to do is to call my insurance company and have them recommend a Lyme specialist from their list; there is one in the area, but her reviews are bad and she’s afraid to treat due to the legal implications. My insurer seems to be the best bet, because my PCP is recommending Rheumatologists, and that ain’t gonna cut the mustard! If they can’t help, my Neurologist will.
Thanks again, Vicki….I’ll find someone who specializes; geeze, I live in the Boston area, home of some of the best docs on the planet so there *must* be someone who knows this thing and can help.

Evening, venice, and thanks! There has been a marked inprovement in my mobility and it’s not the ‘placebo effect.’
Although my Neurologist didn’t test for Lyme when I had the spinal tap last year (a test I *refuse* to repeat) they did test for Lupus and that was negative. He said that ‘testing for Lyme didn’t seem to be indicated.’ Um, I worked at a wildlife sanctuary for nearly 10 years in the woods, with deer; four coworkers came down with full-blown Lyme. If I were a betting woman, I’d say that it certainly was ‘indicated!’
Will get to the bottom of this-appreciate your support!

The MA State Lab used to do challenges for area hospitals, not only the biggies in Boston, but the smaller suburban hospitals, as well. These challenges were for bioterror agents and while some nailed the samples, others failed.
Sorry, but we have to do a better job screening for this stuff because people are suffering, not knowing what’s wrong with them, and all it’d take to figure it out is instruction on the proper screening methods.
As we already know, the CDC is a miserable failure in more ways than one.
Sue K – I too was diagnosed w/Lyme’s Disease but early on. I was bit by six deer ticks in a day at a wildlife preserve. The tiredness hit me almost right away. I went on antibiotics right away which seemed to nip it in the bud. You may want to go on Z – pack right away. That is what I was given immediately. I avoided the long miserable experience of Lyme’s but do I know many who have endured it.
Btw, the only reason I knew my fatigue had anything to do with Lyme’s is b/c I found a tick on my body w/a white spot on its back. I took that sucker, literally, and pressed two pieces of tape, one on it bottom side and the other on its top side. I had the evidence to show my doc who immediately put me on antibiotics. Thank God.
If you were roaming in the woods for 10 years w/your former wildlife job, you are making the right decision to test, re test and re test. Lyme’s goes away, whereas the the other diseases do not.

Since the TARP I realized what’s going on. They bail out the banks with taxpayer money, but they don’t forgive any of our debt. The banks turn around and charge higher interest rates. We end up paying twice. Meanwhile our income is taxed to pay the interest that the federal reserve charges to make money that the Constitution says should be created by Congress debt free to the American people. We are enslaved!

When I start looking at numbers like 51-52%, it is just too familiar. Always notice how the desirable candidate for those in charge always make it just under the wire? It’s never too much or too little, it’s just enough, every time.
These are rigged results, one way or another. The pattern is so old and recognizable by now.

The primaries, yes every one that counted was the same. The general election, again just under the wire. Even the Brown victory was the same. And those are just the obvious ones. Yep, there is just too much money at stake if Perry didn’t win.

I still think that you need to get in contact with Johns Hopkins University at Baltimore, and see if they can recommend a LYMES specialist in the Northeast. I find this a bit strange because it was in Connecticut that the first Lymes disease was isolated. It was treated by a Doctor in Connecticut. It was he who first isolated the disease. You might want to research this as well. I have a about 17 pages that I printed off, and I will be more than happy to forward this material to you. By the way the person in Connecticut who had the lymes disease was a 14 year old youth. His mother had a real hassle trying to find a doctor who could determine what was wrong with her son who was then getting sicker,and sicker. Finally she found a GP who was willing to put forth an effort to try and determine what was wrong with her son. He did and he won the game. This was in either the late 60s, or early 70s. Further there is a company in Boston, it is called Boston Biomedical. I believe that they make test kits as well. I have been unable to find anything online regarding a research lab in St.Louis. That is allegedly where my test was evaluated. My doctor passed away two years ago,and my file was sent over to the GP who I now use. I do not know the name of the lab in St.Louis.I never asked.

Reporting from Salt Lake City – Long frustrated by Washington’s control over much of their state, Utah legislators are proposing a novel way to deal with federal land — seize it and develop it.
The Utah House of Representatives last week passed a bill allowing the state to use eminent domain to take land the federal government owns and has long protected from development.
The state wants to develop three hotly contested areas — national forest land in the Wasatch Mountains north of Salt Lake City, land in a proposed wilderness area in the red rock southwestern corner of the state, and a stretch of desert outside of Arches National Park that the Obama administration has declared off-limits to oil and gas development.

If dual citizenship was allowed, why did our founding fathers write in an exception for themselves?? They were all British Subjects prior to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. If dual citizenship was allowed, they would have been eligible without the exception.
Of course, I could be wrong, after all I am just an ole country boy.
