“GOP House Call II Rally at Capitol — Pictures and Video”
“I returned just a few minutes ago from the House Call II rally at the grounds of the US Capitol, held by Reps. Steven King and Michele Bachmann, who were joined by other GOP reps.
There was a much smaller crowd than was there Thursday, but many who were from states close to the DC area turned around and came back.
I’m currently uploading video of some of the speakers. Here’s some photos until then.”
“Rep. Joe Wilson, who received probably the loudest applause. The crowd chanted “Thank You, Joe” before he even said a word.”
“This Representative said his vote wasn’t just “No” but “Hell no!” For Virginia District 11 citizens, he noted that Rep. “Jihad” Gerry Connolly annouced his support for Obamacare, even though he doesn’t like the taxes.”
“Attendees who showed up at the rally today were allowed by the Representatives gathered there to go up in the House gallery so Pelosi and the liberal Democrats could “look you in the eye” when they vote on the bill.
Should the bill pass the House, the Reps. and Tea Party organizers are planning to have more “House Calls” of the American people on Washington during the conference meetings with the Senate.”

I sure hope Stupak was listening when the Dem chairs (3 different ones) would not guarantee Boehner that the Stupak bill would be in the Final Mark-up!
I’m ashamed of these representatives that didn’t advise their constituents to file medical bankruptcy. Yet, they instead ADD to their already horrific debt load with this bill.

We’ve noticed that there are some buildings that are having all kinds of problems, and we can’t figure out why; this may be the reason.

add to this problem…your medications. Many common meds are manufactured in China. A few months back, I had an issue with a routine medication I take.
I noticed a few things that seemed “different” when I began taking my newly refilled Rx. Called the pharmacy to inquire about the manufacturer and was told to STOP taking that medication as it had been recalled. I tried to get more info, but was unable to. Big surprise, huh?
So…word to the wise, pay attention to meds and changes in side effects…even the subtle ones. Listen to your body.

WASHINGTON (CNS) — Two months into his new posting as an on-call chaplain at the United States’ largest Army base, Father Ed McCabe had the longest day of his military chaplaincy.
Father McCabe was 10 minutes into a weekly chaplain staff meeting at Fort Hood when the clergy got word of the shooting spree taking place at the base.
“We ended the staff meeting and came to the hospital and that’s where we stayed,” Father McCabe said, “because that’s where the wounded were. And then I went over to the crime scene to comfort the people who were there.”
Of the 13 who died in the shooting, Father McCabe said he anointed 11.

From what i understand, it’s only a tactic aimed at Blue Dog Demos who do not want to vote for a bill that includes federally funded abortion. This bill would have taken that out, and given the Blue Dogs “cover” when they are up for re-election. It’s defeat puts many blue dog votes in question—-will they vote for OCare with abortion funding?

Speaker Pelosi has already broken many promises thus far in this “reform” exercise. She promised that this would be a bi-partisan effort, but the bill she’s pushing isn’t bi-partisan. She promised that the final version of the bill would be posted online 72 hours before it comes to a vote so that the American people could clearly see what’s in it and how we will pay for it. But she broke that promise too when she decided to rush the bill to a vote this weekend.
The speaker must be held accountable for her broken promises. Now is the time for Americans who believe in the free market and who believe that we need policies that promote job growth instead of job loss to say once and for all, “Enough!” Stand up and make your voices heard before it’s too late. Call and email your representatives and tell them to vote “no” on Pelosi’s train wreck of a health care bill, or else we will vote “no” to sending them back to Washington when we go to the polls in less than 12 months.

IMO, it doesn’t matter what happens tonight, although I’d like to see a defeat.
It’s clear to everyone that this is all about Obama, as everything is with this guy.
They waited for the election, it didn’t turn out well, but they said WTH anyway! He probably thinks he can spend the next year mending fences, seeing that this wouldn’t kick in until 2013 so there wouldn’t be any affects immediately. Maddie-so glad the priests were there for Extreme Unction and to help the wounded. They had on the news neighbors of Officer Munley describing her. One of her girlfriends was able to visit her in the hospital. A wound to the wrist-I don’t know, not too many details.

They’re (BOTH the Dems/Repubs) making the claim this bill will improve quality of care. Doc asks by what yardstick?
With your denominator being total patients treated over patients with positive results the denominator decreases because this plan is based on rationing.
You have to take into account this bill includes denial of services, for a variety of reasons – too old, too sick, etc… Whenever you have a rationing system of any kind, you change the denominator of patients treated.
By excluding/denying you are able to make your results look better and therefore can claim improvement of quality of care. It’s all rhetoric.

I’ve never been a follower of politics (believing most were corrupt, anyway) but I’m getting a hard education since Barky assumed the position of ‘Resident.’
State legislatures do this often-sneak in a vote on a weekend or in the wee hours and they think that no one notices. Well, with this one, the entire country is noticing, and the payback will be a beatch.
One party is *not* any better than the other and these two ‘major’ parties sure were not the parties our parents knew…

Not necessarily. You could be exposed, but there’s nothing to guarantee that you’re a ‘carrier’ or will get the flu.
Take your D-3 and Sambucol and keep the AVC/honey handy. If you think you’re been exposed, up your dose of D-3 and follow the label directions for ‘intensive care’ with the Sambucol. I’d hit the ACV/honey, too, just in case.

My concern is making others that we were going to visit sick, like my sister-in-laws, both of them. Hi Linda,
If the legislature passes a bill and it goes to the voters it will fail, just as it has in all other states that it’s gone to a vote.
MA passed it a few years ago, but it was never put on the ballot; all the surveys I’ve read say that if the question were placed on the ballot for the people to vote on, it too, would be defeated.
That’s that.
On to the Senate.

I hope you’re right about us taking our country back. I have done and will continue to do everything I can in my power to help the cause. I love my country with all my heart and always have, and that goes for the military as well.

I believe that if Soetoro is somehow driven from the Whitehouse within the remaining time in his first term, there would still be time to kill the bill. Here’s an excerpt about the intent and the target of the shooter from a former soldier that refused to deploy. He believes it wasn’t so much about HIM (the shooter) being deployed, as it was about keeping a large number of soldiers from deployment.
“Victor Agosto, an Iraq war veteran who was discharged from the military after publicly refusing to deploy to Afghanistan, has had firsthand experience with the SRP at Fort Hood, where he too was based.
“I knew there would be a confrontation when I was there, because the only reason to do that process is to deploy,” Agosto explained, speaking to Truthout near Fort Hood . “So the shooter clearly intended to stop people from deploying.”
