First of all, sadly, I was not surprised. Obama was given a forum to distance himself further from Jeremiah Wright and to do multiple soliloquys to talk about change and race relations without answering a question of substance.
The toughest questions, about Wright, had already been addressed. This just gave Obama a forum to present polished diversionary responses.
Obama was asked about the temporary gas tax removal proposed by Clinton and McCain. The real question that any 6th grader could come up with is:
Mr. Obama, what action of any substance during your time in the senate or otherwise have you undertaken regarding solving the energy crisis?
Mr. Obama, Jeremiah Wright, is certainly controversial, but what about your strong ties to Lawrence Lessig and his repeated playing of the gay Jesus video at seminars?
Mr. Obama, what about the allegations made about you by Larry Sinclair regarding cocaine use and connections to Donald Young and his murder?
Mr. Obama, wasn’t your Illinois Senate campaign kicked off in the home of underground bomber Willaim Ayers?
Mr. Obama, what about your ties to Rezko and revelations coming out in his trial about crime and corruption in Chicago and Illinois?
Mr. Obama, what about charges of money laundering and undue influence regarding your $ 8,000 per month legal retainer from Robert Blackwell and Blackwell’s ties to Rezko and the Governor of Illinois, whose name comes up repeatedly in the Rezko trial?
The questions go on and on. The American public deserves answers to these questions. It is apparent, NBC, Meet the Press and the MSM have failed at their job of news reporting and will suffer the fate of the dinosaurs.
Not specifically a comment on Russert-I refused to watch -knew what was coming-just this on RevWright–I predict he will continue to speak outrageously to make himself more and more famous and WILL RETURN TO Trinity and really rake in the $$$$$- because here in Cleveland,Ohio, Rev.Otis Moss has announced his retirement from a famous Black church here and it is rumored that his son, Rev.Moss III will take over for him. Rev III is NOW at Trinity… interesting timing for Moss Sr. to decide to retire.
I thought Russert was going to get down on his knees and worship at the feet of Obama. I am quite afraid that he will get the nomination; however, because too many people do not see through him. For this, I am very sad. I feel that he will totally ruin this country for his and his friends purposes( “New World Order”.) By the time people see through him and Larry’s story comes out, it will be too late. I live in the Indianapolis suburbs, and I get sick when I see all the people swoon over him when in reality he says very little–just rhetoric. I think we should all start praying for our country and praying for Larry’s safety when he meets with the detective.
Does Reverend Wright WANT to hurt Barack’s bid for the Presidency? It turned out Gennifer Flowers worked for the Republican Party when she tried to end President Bill Clinton’s first campaign for the White House. Certainly the GOP are ruthless and clever enough to look for ways to damage such a strong candidate as Obama. Maybe even the Clintons are, although my money is on the GOP.

Dear Editor:
The purpose of a free press is to preserve the truth by reporting it. This ideal would, if it existed, create battling publishers, editors and reporters all struggling against each other to provide reality to the readers/viewers. Instead, there is cooperation between media outlets to preserve, protect and defend the establishment. Owners of these outlets deliberately, or upon orders, censor the truth.
These facts are evident upon the death of one of the establishment’s mouthpieces. There would be, under a free press, a rush to say, “Maybe we can win that time slot now.” Instead they all, like the hypocrites they are, line up to eulogize their (supposed) opponent.
Today the funeral service for Russert was held at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. It was a perfect setting because that’s what the media does—it performs for the corporations, government elite, and owners who control what is broadcast and printed. Truth has been sacrificed as have the American people. And a free press—one without fear or favor of the powerful—has gone the way of the dodo bird.
