Obamacare sticker shock, Huge premium increases, Higher deductibles, Young Obama supporters hit hard, Low information Americans continue to be deceived, Obamacare Facebook page angry comments
“The study says 27-year-old men in Nebraska will see a whopping 279 percent increase in premiums and 27-year-old women in Nebraska will get an also-shocking 227 percent increase in rates.”…Watchdog.org

“Rising medical costs, “combined with the costs associated with the Affordable Care Act, have made it increasingly difficult to continue providing the same level of health care benefits to our employees at an affordable cost,””…UPS memo

“Can we stop calling ObamaCare the Affordable Care Act now?”…Guilford College student

We told you so.

Obamacare is causing huge increases in health care premiums as well as higher deductibles.

And some of the groups being hit the hardest are young people. The core of Obama’s support.

From Last Resistance October 5, 2013.
“Americans Shocked At Obamacare Premium Increases”

  • ““Obama promised would see $2,500 in annual savings as far as the eye could see…Between 2014 and 2022, the increase in national health spending (which the Medicare actuaries specifically attribute to the law) amounts to $7,450 per family of 4.” – Forbes
  • “The study says 27-year-old men in Nebraska will see a whopping 279 percent increase in premiums and 27-year-old women in Nebraska will get an also-shocking 227 percent increase in rates.” – watchdog.org
  • “Based on a Manhattan Institute analysis of the HHS numbers, Obamacare will increase underlying insurance rates for younger men by an average of 97 to 99 percent, and for younger women by an average of 55 to 62 percent. Worst off is North Carolina, which will see individual-market rates triple for women, and quadruple for men.” – Avik Roy

The above quotes are just three of many describing the premium increases average Americans will suffer under Obamacare. During his campaign, President Obama promised that families would save an average of $2500 a year under the affordable care act. However, for months, data has been pouring in, telling us otherwise. In addition to that, basic sense tells us that socialized medicine is a dangerous idea.

Despite all the evidence and the decades of history backing up the claim that Obamacare was a very bad idea, average, low-information Americans continued to allow themselves to be deceived. Now that Obamacare has officially hit the streets, those same Americans have become indignant about the cost increases.

On the Obamacare Facebook page, numerous people posted angry comments regarding cost increases:

  • I am so disappointed…These prices are outrageous and there are huge deductibles. No one can afford this!””

“What did these people expect? Are they living in an alternate universe where information is inaccessible? How do they go about their days without sussing even a modicum of factual information from the world around them regarding Obamacare?

This is just so sad. We are a country of empty-headed followers. King Obama issues edicts from on high, and we just eat it up like so much food. We are a peasant class. We have a King making false claims—otherwise known as telling lies—and we simply take him at his word, because we believe him to be benevolent.”

  1. Now it is time to PAY THE FIDDLER! Those who sat on their duffs are either going to PAY UP, or be FINED. HAR HAR. Keep sitting on your duffs and the PAY UP AMOUNT will get LARGER,and larger….among other costs, that are already GETTING LARGER. Time to get off your duffs. LOCK,AND LOAD.

  2. ……..and NOW we have a DICTATORSHIP, and thousands of recent SNOT NOSED,OVEREDUCATED WORDSMITH COLLEGE GRADS,think everything that is going on is really “C-O-O-L ” to hear them tell it. They are so overeducated that they are STUPID. Sadly it is now and will continue to be the taxpayer who gets his/her pocket picked by the failed student loan programs, which failed because the students used the money to have their great times ingesting alcohol, and drugs, instead of what it was really for. Now they TOO must PAY THE BFIDDLER

  4. ……..and NOW American industry is going to go the way of our French, and European counterparts…….yet the Soetoro supporters think everything is HUNKEY DOREY, which clearly reflects their mental disabilities. People who think that an American corporation is OK when it is forced to lay off THOUSANDS of employees because of idiotic leadership at the WACKEY HOUSE,once again show their IGNORANCE. Bottom line= American corporations doing what Apple done. While their Corporate headquarters is nin the US the products are being made OUTSIDE of the US,in which case their earnings which come from foreign countries doesn’t get taxed……simply because it is EARNED outside of the US so legally Apple is doing nothing wrong, and it is clear that the company execs are USING THEIR GOURDS for something other than a hatrack.

  5. BYE BYE time to attend to other business……have a great Sunday everybody.

  6. Hi OldSailor, and All,

We’ve been saying all along that when this train wreck of a ‘law’ started to be implemented and barky’s younger base was affected by it, that’s when the excrement would hit the turbine.

Well, it’s hitting, but good; his minions are seeing the effects of a having a dictator in America’s driver’s seat.

We can only hope that the blinders come off for good and that this country will finally move in unison to get rid of the boil on America’s azz. There’s no other way.

  7. Spot on SueK….I say let Ovomitcare kick in and let those youngins (who think Obamacare and the affordable care act are 2 different things, lmao) see what it will cost them. They will NEVER sign up. And those that are vagabonds, homeless, druggies, etc., don’t even know how to get online. They will continue to rely on the social safety net should they need health care. So, this monster will cost TRILLIONS and still have millions uninsured.

Just what they planned all along….massive redistibuiton of wealth

    Hi Honor,

    Great to read you :).

Here’s the thing: The 20somethings just graduating from college, or those who’ve learned a trade and are already in the work force, historically earn a low ‘first salary’ until they get some experience under their belts. Now, if they’re over age 26, they can no longer be on mummy and daddy’s insurance policy so for the 26+ folks, it’s either buy into this Godzilla ‘law’ or pay a penalty. With what money, I ask? They don’t have it.

Something can only work if people participate in it, so it’s time to starve the beast. I’m sure you and other CWers have read the reports that few, if any, are signing up for this train wreck. If no one signs up, the system crashes and burns. That would be fitting, I’d say.

Having lived with Romneycare for several years, I can tell you that people are still using the E.D. as their doctor, and those who aren’t insured and can’t pay are still riding on the back of the taxpayers. While I understand that something had to be done in this moonbat state, this wasn’t it; we continue to pick up the tab.

This will only get worse, IMO, with folks seeing their premiums skyrocket for a lousy insurance plan that covers nothing for a high deductible. Tell me, why do those who live in countries with socialized medicine come to the U.S. for their care? Ya think because socialized medicine sucks?

I agree with you and hate to say it, but we need to let this thing play out. Not only do we currently have pissed off bikers, truckers, and Veterans, but when Joe Q. Citizen takes a gander of what he will NOT get for a LOT of his money, that’s when the worm will have turned, so to speak.

    Start popping the popcorn…

    Colin Flaherty:

“Combat soldiers no match for black mob …”

“An active duty combat veteran is dead, a victim of black mob violence.

The soldier, who has yet to be identified, had been celebrating his safe return from combat and his imminent release from the military. He was walking to his hotel early Saturday morning near a Seattle area military base where KOMO-TV news picks up the story: [video at link]

A group of men in a car drove by and someone inside shouted a racial comment toward the white soldiers, the Lakewood Police Department said.

“One of the soldiers yelled back something about the suspects treating combat soldiers with disrespect,” Lt. Chris Lawler said.

The vehicle turned around, and five black males got out of the car and confronted the soldiers, according to reports. As the verbal confrontation ensued, the driver of the vehicle realized the men were actually combat veterans and called his friends off.

While the men headed back to their vehicle, one of the suspects appeared to have bumped into the victim, witnesses say.

The soldiers saw their friend fall to the ground as the car sped away. The victim was bleeding profusely from a stab wound and died at the scene.

Police are searching for five black men who fled the scene in a midnight blue BMW-type sedan or VW Jetta-type car with four doors, tinted windows and stock rims and low profile tires, said KOMO.

The main suspect was wearing a hoodie.”

  18. In an exclusive interview, the Rev. Billy Graham tells Newsmax that President Obama’s “hope and change” mantra is nothing more than a cliche and warns that the nation faces increasing threats to civil and religious liberties from its government.

“Our early fathers led our nation according to biblical principles,” Graham wrote in response. “‘Hope and change’ has become a cliché in our nation, and it is daunting to think that any American could hope for change from what God has blessed,” he stated, an obvious reference to President Obama’s campaign motto.

“Our country is turning away from what has made it so great,” he continued, “but far greater than the government knowing our every move that could lead to losing our freedom to worship God publicly, is to know that God knows our every thought; he knows our hearts need transformation.”

  21. North Carolinians Shocked By The Size Of Insurance Premium Increases Caused By Obamacare –

Across North Carolina, thousands of people have been shocked in recent weeks to find out their health insurance plans will be canceled at the end of the year – and premiums for comparable coverage could increase sharply.

One of them is George Schwab of Charlotte, who pays $228 a month for his family’s $10,000 deductible plan from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.

In a Sept. 23 letter, Blue Cross notified him that his current plan doesn’t meet benefit requirements outlined in the Affordable Care Act and suggested a comparable plan for $1,208 a month – $980 more than he now pays.

“I’m 62 and retired,” Schwab said. “This creates a tremendous financial burden for our family.

Regarding the stabbing of the combat vet……SOON the tide is GOING TO TURN,and the BLACK PUNKS who can be easily detected by their STINKING UNWASHED A$$ES, will ALL BE lying about RIDDLED with HOLES. This could happen a hell of a lot sooner than anybody thinks. By the way if the same black mob met this soldier on the battlefield they would all be now DEAD………but STINKING PUNKS are still STINKING PUNKS.

  23. ……..and pathetically damn few of the STINKING A$$ PUNKS even posess enough intelligence to discern their own STINKING A$$ from a HOLE IN THE GROUND……….oh yeah they are BAD A$$ES, but NOT IN THE NORMAL SENSE OF THE PHRASE.

  24. …………..if and/or when the racial war begins, the UNINTELLIGENT STINKING ASSED PUNKS will be erradicated early on……simply because intelligence will always defeat stupidity. Black PUNK MOBS will NEVER be able to operate against intelligent patriots………..simply because their stupidity, and STINKING asses will PINPOINT exactly where they are, at which point an intelligent person would send them an air express, surprise package of anti personell dispatch. (airborn M-18s)……want BADASS there it is.

  25. ……..of course we cannot send CLAYMORES through the air,so we would rely upon the GOOD OLE 120mm mortar. (really even more effective than a stationary claymore.)……in the hands of people who are experienced with them.

  26. ………when the BATTLE begins, the black punks will find themselves up against a lot of trained military vets, and the battlefield will be right here at home. When the BATTLE ends, it will also be the end of the alleged race war, because intelligent blacks will be fighting right alongside their caucasian counterparts………and there will be a hell of a pile of rotting corpses of the DEAD PUNKS.

Money Talks, Obamacare Walks: Some Doctors to Accept Cash Only

If you can’t afford “Affordable Care” and do not have employer-provided health insurance, what are your options when you need to see a doctor?

The answer may be to find a physician who offers “concierge” or direct care (also referred to as membership medicine, cash-only practice, direct practice, or boutique medicine). Doctors who use this business model charge patients a monthly or annual membership fee or retainer for unlimited office access (usually including 24-hour email and/or telephone accessibility), and bill patients for tests and supplies that are used.

This business model is a win-win for doctors and patients – both parties avoid having to deal with insurance companies and the associated high costs, paperwork, and red tape.

According to data from a national survey of nearly 14,000 physicians conducted by physician staffing firm Merritt Hawkins for The Physicians Foundation, 9.6 percent of “practice owners” are planning to convert to concierge practices in the next one to three years.

“Physicians have been running for cover for several years now,” said Mark Smith, president of Merritt Hawkins. “There is a lot of uncertainty in health care now and the only certainty is there is a lot of talk about cutting physicians fees. One way to get out of it is to go off the grid.”

After accepting insurance for five years, Dr. Doug Nunamaker and his partner switched to a membership-based practice. Their patients pay a flat monthly fee to have unlimited access to the doctors and any service that is provided in the office. Their fees vary depending on age. For children, it’s $10 a month. For adults up to age 44, it’s $50 a month, and senior citizens pay $100. – See more at: http://www.thedailysheeple.com/money-talks-obamacare-walks-some-doctors-to-accept cash-only_102013#sthash.TVLjEKKD.dpuf

“SEIU unionists strike over Obamacare-related cuts”

“Members of the Chicago-based Service Employees International Union Local 1 have gone on strike over recent job cuts by a janitorial company called Professional Maintenance.

The reason for the cuts? The employer says it is because of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. This is ironic since SEIU is a major supporter of the law.”

“”We are seeing employer after employer cut hours so as to avoid the 30-hour definition of a full-time job,” Johnson said. The AFL-CIO passed a resolution demanding either Congress or Obama fix the law to stop it from hurting union members.”

  36. CitizenWells,

Happy I have a job, even if I must work 12-14 hours every day. Many, many more people are starting to loose employment. I see major corporations with the employee parking lots now half full, that were almost full even 2 years ago. We are drifting further into the economic abyss, and people are fixed on a stock market that reflects how much money the federal reserve has printed and bought stocks with, not reality.

The good news is that perhaps the ‘default’ will come sooner than later, and the can can’t be kicked down the road much further to the destruction of the middle class. Yes, I’m actually starting to believe that a default on the debt will be like a magic pill of events that could restore the Republic and the Constitution. Sequence: US Government defaults of the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve calls in it’s stocks, bonds, and assests to put pressure on the the public as well as take money out of circulation. People’s retirement will be confiscated by the current regime to float. The Government must then take over the job of the Federal reserve (either state or federal) and print money. Economically the dollar will be now off the world standard, but then it will be almost impossible for Americans to afford to purchase imports. A balanced budge amendment will be forced through by the public, to prevent a ‘recurrence’ of liberal irresponsibility. Then, those politicians involved in attempting to default the federal reserve will experience the same fate as the last two Presidents of the United States that crossed the bankers…..Abraham Lincoln (end of the civil war refused to pay war debt and had accident at Ford’s theater) and John Kennedy (who was going to get rid of the federal reserve and go to a government silver standard and had an unfortunate accident in Dallas). Next, our National Socialist party of America (the Democrats) will enjoy the same finality as they did in Germany. Whereupon, the Republic will be restored and the Commerce clause can be limited by amendments as well as future ‘borrowing’. Do not let a good crisis go to waste! We can Fundamentally transform America back to what our founding father’s wanted. Some politicians might have unfortunate ‘accidents’ along the way…………..

Ok, the truth is that the politicians will give into the bankers because they know they have a ‘gun pointed at their head’ and they can sell the public further into the hole easier than dealing with the Federal reserve. They will cave this week sometime.

    Good morning Zach, et al.

  38. Due to the shut down of National Parks, some are beginning to refer to Obama as the occupant of the “Spite House”. It boggles my mind that people complain but are too timid to just remove the “barrycades” and traffic cones, and go about their business. It also boggles my mind that priests obey directives and don’t deliver religious rites to their flock. “Low T” doesn’t seem to be the problem as you might suspect if you watch TV. Our problem is no T.

  39. Good morning CW…haven’t posted in a while…but I thought this was worth a read this a.m.

“And at the same time the consciousness of being at war, and therefore in danger, makes the handing-over of all power to a small caste seem the natural, unavoidable condition of survival… It does not matter whether the war is actually happening, and, since no decisive victory is possible, it does not matter whether the war is going well or badly. All that is needed is that a state of war should exist… The war, therefore, if we judge it by the standards of previous wars, is merely an imposture. It is like the battles between certain ruminant animals whose horns are set at such an angle that they are incapable of hurting one another. But though it is unreal it is not meaningless. It eats up the surplus of consumable goods, and it helps to preserve the special mental atmosphere that a hierarchical society needs. War, it will be seen, is now a purely internal affair. In the past, the ruling groups of all countries, although they might recognize their common interest and therefore limit the destructiveness of war, did fight against one another, and the victor always plundered the vanquished. In our own day they are not fighting against one another at all. The war is waged by each ruling group against its own subjects, and the object of the war is not to make or prevent conquests of territory, but to keep the structure of society intact. The very word ‘war’, therefore, has become misleading. It would probably be accurate to say that by becoming continuous war has ceased to exist. ” –George Orwell

” In the country of the blind, the one-eyed man is king ” – Erasmus
Both of these quotes are correct….

I am forever amazed at the knowledge of Orwell and his ability to foretell the future…he must have has some divine help.

In America today, it appears our only industry is permanent War…and all this continuous war footing is doing is eroding our weak and shaky economy …”everything going out, nothing coming in”.

But this permanent state of war does serve one purpose….War is now being waged against our own citizens because the ruling class lives in fear from the power of the common citizen… and to keep the structure of a corrupt government in power, it must keep the country in an everlasting state of war, as if they were protecting us from a foreign enemy. As Orwell say in his last sentence……” It would probably be accurate to say that by becoming continuous… war has ceased to exist. ”

As for the other quote I posted…It speaks for itself……when the citizens of a country are completely “blind” as to the illusory government they live under….the government has thus accomplished their task of conditioning the people to believe almost anything they say …and in the land of the blind ( America), the “one eyed king” is acclaimed and worshiped as the all-powerful ONE…..an unknown, illegal, and completely unqualified community organizer suddenly becomes an expert on world leadership… on a sinking ship of state which is headed directly into a fog bound abyss…an abyss from which recovery is not an option..
