“USCCB Responds To Inaccurate Statement Of Fact On HHS Mandate Made During Vice Presidential Debate”
“The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) issued the following statement, October 12. Full text follows:
Last night, the following statement was made during the Vice Presidential debate regarding the decision of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to force virtually all employers to include sterilization and contraception, including drugs that may cause abortion, in the health insurance coverage they provide their employees:
“With regard to the assault on the Catholic Church, let me make it absolutely clear. No religious institution—Catholic or otherwise, including Catholic social services, Georgetown hospital, Mercy hospital, any hospital—none has to either refer contraception, none has to pay for contraception, none has to be a vehicle to get contraception in any insurance policy they provide. That is a fact. That is a fact.”
This is not a fact. The HHS mandate contains a narrow, four-part exemption for certain “religious employers.” That exemption was made final in February and does not extend to “Catholic social services, Georgetown hospital, Mercy hospital, any hospital,” or any other religious charity that offers its services to all, regardless of the faith of those served.
HHS has proposed an additional “accommodation” for religious organizations like these, which HHS itself describes as “non-exempt.” That proposal does not even potentially relieve these organizations from the obligation “to pay for contraception” and “to be a vehicle to get contraception.” They will have to serve as a vehicle, because they will still be forced to provide their employees with health coverage, and that coverage will still have to include sterilization, contraception, and abortifacients. They will have to pay for these things, because the premiums that the organizations (and their employees) are required to pay will still be applied, along with other funds, to cover the cost of these drugs and surgeries.
USCCB continues to urge HHS, in the strongest possible terms, actually to eliminate the various infringements on religious freedom imposed by the mandate.

It’s about lies. The administration has done nothing but lie, promise what it can not deliver, and cloud the truth. The lies became difficult, very difficult for even the liberal media to swallow. The terrorist attack on 911, was a terrorist attack. The manipulation, and downright leaving off unwanted data, on the economic information was scary even for Orwell’s 1984. There comes a time when the lies get so big, and the performance is so poor, that the public sees the emperor without clothes. The debates are moments for people to compare what Obama and his minions have said, versus what they see. Many have decided to believe their lying eyes!!!
It’s also, and mostly about jobs and a future. Obama has managed a non-recovery recovery. The federal government gets bigger, spends more money, and provides no economic improvement except juggling the numbers. People, many of whom feel taxes are to high already, see no future in an economy where the POTUS job Czar sends 35-40K US jobs overseas every year! (Immelt and GE) The administration was so busy with Lesbian/gay community, stealing from medicare, and forcing abortion and planned parenthood, as well as bogus green companies, that they completely forgot about the formerly middle class americans trying to feed their families and keep their houses.
The democrats, and especially Obama, have been all in a grand poker game on a pair of 5’s for 4 years. Americans are growing restless with the bluffs, the broken promises, and the complete 1984 government tactics. You can feel a swell of movement towards another direction, to one of a recovering economy and a future for children. The fear is now palpable on the part of administration. Finally, to anyone who managed to make it this far, I have heard statements that make me believe that Obama and his illegal friends will not just ‘walk away’ from the crimes they have committed.

Obama Administration Had Video All Along that Showed There Was No Protest at Benghazi Consulate
For the last month the Obama Administration has misrepresented the 9-11 terror attack in Benghazi that left four Americans dead including the
US ambassador to Libya. President Obama and his administration repeated the line that protesters gathered outside the consulate before the deadly attack.
Video footage from the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya, taken the night of the Sept. 11 anniversary attacks, shows an organized group of armed men attacking the compound, according to two U.S. intelligence officials who have seen the footage and are involved in the ongoing investigation. The footage, which was recovered from the site last week by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, offers some of the most tangible evidence yet that a military-style assault took place, according to these officials.
The Obama administration has been studying the videos, taken from closed-circuit cameras throughout the Benghazi consulate’s four-building compound, for clues about who was responsible for the attack and how it played out. The two officials tell The Daily Beast that analysts are hoping to decipher the faces of the attackers and match them up with known jihadists.
The videos could also play into an expanding investigation by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform that is looking at whether security steps could have been taken that would have saved the life of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans killed that day. Rep. Jason Chaffetz, who is one of the Republicans leading the House investigation, says he hasn’t been given the footage.
In addition to the footage from the consulate cameras, the U.S. government is also poring over video taken from an overhead U.S. surveillance drone that arrived for the final hour of the night battle at the consulate compound and nearby annex.
Video from the compound’s cameras debunk the initial line from the Obama administration that there was a protest in front of the consulate on the night of the attacks, according to one of the U.S. intelligence officials who has seen the footage, and a senior Obama administration official familiar with what they show.
One has to wonder why Obama would insist on wearing a ring he’s had for so many years at his own “christian” wedding unless it was his way of insisting and it being accepted by Mooch of his real leanings as far as choice of belief. And of course it’s been said that Wright found a way for Obama to remain faithful to his muslim leanings while joining that “congregation”. It’s also a way of showing the muslim leaders/brotherhood his true preference. I doubt if one would be so insistent if it was simply a ring made in another country, like Indonesia. You could simply wear the extra ring on other fingers.

“In Thursday night’s Vice Presidential debate, the Administration’s green agenda was, once again, part of the verbal sparring. The exchange ended with Congressman Ryan’s unanswered question: “Where are the 5 million green jobs…?”
Moderator Martha Raddatz cut him off mid-question, steering the conversation elsewhere: “I want to move on here to Medicare and entitlements. I think we’ve gone over this quite enough.”
Ryan didn’t finish his question. Vice President Biden wasn’t pressed into an uncomfortable answer that would have wiped the smile off his face.
Had Ryan not been interrupted and been allowed to finished the question, he likely would have continued: “…Candidate Obama promised in 2008 when he pledged to jumpstart the economy with an influx of green jobs. Many times, he specifically stated: ‘I will invest $15 billion a year in renewable sources of energy to create 5 million new energy jobs over the next decade—jobs that pay well; jobs that can’t be outsourced; jobs building solar panels and wind turbines and a new electricity grid; jobs building the fuel-efficient cars of tomorrow, not in Japan, not in South Korea but right here in the U.S. of A. Jobs that will help us eliminate the oil we import from the Middle East in 10 years and help save the planet in the bargain. That’s how America can lead again.’ Where are those green jobs?”
Had Biden answered, he might have tried the same line Obama used in the 60 Minutes interview clip that didn’t air on national television: “We have tens of thousands of jobs that have been created as a consequence of wind energy alone”—though that hardly adds up to 5 million. Try as he might, Biden couldn’t have smiled his way through a recitation of green jobs created through the proposed $15 billion a year. It is not a happy story.
In fact, through the 2009 stimulus, more than $15 billion a year was allocated for green energy projects—which in his four-year term would have added up to $60 billion. Instead, while the numbers quoted vary, $80-90 billion has been made available for green energy projects.
With the assistance of researcher Christine Lakatos, I have been chronicling Obama’s stimulus-funded green energy failures.
First we looked at the companies that have gone bankrupt, and then those that are heading that way—or, at least, have financial issues. Within those reports, we frequently addressed specific green jobs failures. For example, regarding Fisker, the electric car made in Finland, we say:”

Romney should call a press conference and issue a challenge in front of the nation. He should agree to release more of his tax returns, only if Obama unseals his college records. Simple and straight-forward. Mitt should ask “What could possibly be so embarrassing in your college records from 29 years ago that you are afraid to let America’s voters see? I was visiting with my dear sister-in-law from PA. She’s been in touch with her son in Florida, (which is in his mid 20’s and apolitical). He tuned in to the vice presidential debate for some reason, and was totally disgusted by Joke Biden’s behavior.
The next day… THE VERY NEXT DAY(!), he registered to vote! He fully intends to vote for Romney.
SO! Don’t tell me that only women thought that Biden was offensive!
Don’t tell me that no minds were changed!
And don’t tell me that my nephew was the only one… I’m sure that there are many many more like him. Take heart patriots.

While Romney, to his credit a religious man, was not exactly spewing Jesus’ gospel during this encounter, he was exposing the truth – namely that, however dangerous to the nation, the “Muslim in chief” is a two-bit, socialist political hack who cares more about the status and perks of being president than actually doing the job of president.”

“With government corruption and treasonous acts running rampant, particularly with regard to President Obama and his administration, many have asked what ordinary American citizens can do to legally mete out justice.
Short of violent revolution, there is only one strong legal mechanism that can be invoked. That is the so-called “citizens grand jury,” by which Americans themselves can enforce the law.
This is our only recourse to hold the president and his accomplices truly accountable for their actions. Over the years, impeachment has not worked, nor has any other means to address crimes at the presidential and other high levels of government.
In this regard, the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution establishes that “no person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury.”
A proper understanding of the effect of this requirement begins with the common law, since, as Supreme Court Justice Learned Hand stated in In re Kittle, “we took the [grand jury] as we found it in our English inheritance, and he best serves the Constitution who most faithfully follows its historical significance.”

Actually, Biden has it right, and the bishops have it wrong. Their claims that the health law violates religious liberty are based on a “big lie”–a gross falsification constantly repeated and embellished to lend credibility. Notwithstanding claims to the contrary, the health care law does not force employers to act contrary to their consciences.
Employers may comply with the law by choosing either of two options: (1) provide qualifying health insurance plans or (2) do not provide such plans and instead pay assessments to the government. Unless one supposes that the employers’ religions forbid payments of money to the government, the law does not compel them to act contrary to their beliefs.
The second choice does not amount to “violating” the law and paying a “fine,” as some suppose. As the law “does not explicitly mandate an employer to offer employees acceptable health insurance” (http://www.ncsl.org/documents/health/EmployerPenalties.pdf), there is no such “mandate” to “violate.” Rather, the law affords employers two options, either of which is as lawful as the other.
Nor are the assessments set so high that paying them would drive employers out of business, as some speculate. The law provides that if a “large employer” (i.e., one with at least 50 employees) chooses not to provide health insurance, it must pay assessments of $2,000 per year per employee after the first 30 employees. That is much less than an employer typically would pay for health insurance. Small employers would pay no assessments at all. Because of this potential saving and because the law affords individuals realistic opportunities to obtain insurance on their own, many employers are considering this option–for reasons entirely unrelated to religion.
