Lakin court martial, Where is the military, Answer from retired military officer

From Carmen Reynolds, Lt Col (Ret), USAF, September 23, 2010.

“Answer on WHERE is the military?

Many are asking why the military is doing nothing on the Lt Col Terry Lakin court-martial case.

Many do not understand that the military doesn’t say “Boo” unless directed by their Civilian Masters.  The Joint Chiefs of Staff, who direct the Services, derive their orders from Civilian Authorities above, emanating from the Commander-in-Chief.

Many now get to their general ranks by being “yes men” rather than independent thinkers. So in order to keep their jobs, they are onboard with the current trends and flavor of the ruling administration. Gen Bostwick has recently come out calling military personnel “bigots” if they will not psychologically accept gays, and that they should get out.  Lady Gaga is trying her best to socially engineer our society into believing it’s OK too and proceeds to denigrate our troops by shouting, “Get out! Get out! Get out!” (that is if they don’t/can’t accept gays.)
All active-duty military members are subject to reprisals for any involvement in these matters. They are prohibited from making public comments regarding vital issues. For example, in the 90’s, we were told NOT to make any more Clinton jokes as military members. I put my retirement papers in shortly afterward.

A nation that forgets its soldiers is soon forgotten. In the absence of any assistance from the above, The U.S. Patriots Union has created two White Papers, outlining a proper defense for Lakin and has ensured he receives this. They have attorneys standing by and are raising funds for this effort.

USPU also created a Veterans Council, headed by Gen. Vallely in an effort to mount large numbers of Patriots concerned about our country to include: military, retired military and family members.

USPU has identified six areas of emphasis so Patriots can concentrate in one area to effect change. As the tea parties are being infiltrated and infighting is occurring, membership will have differing levels of security.
If you really want to know where our soldiers are, they are in the Veterans Council at the U.S. Patriots Union, and they are focused on returning this nation to greatness.

Don’t ask where our soldiers are… They are at Patriots Union!

  1. Lady GagGag has proven how dangerous the Woodstock and Animal House mentality has become. She has about as much knowledge and understanding of homosexual concerns of the military as Clem Kadiddlehopper. Sorry for the insult Clem. Back in the 50’s most Americans tolerated the gay community, but we didn’t want them in the military. Blackmail was always a concern by most government agencies. Then the 60’s came and “flaunting your gayness” became the fad. As far as I am concerned, this was the beginning of the downfall of America IN THE EYES OF GOD.
I have to go and throw up now as William Jefferson(KISSIT) Clinton is being interviewed on MSNBC now about his Clinton Global Initiative.

    The Chivalric Code
    By Pixel Patriot, 9.21.2010

The term “chivalry” originated in medieval times and was used to define the ideal qualities of a medieval knight. Also referred to as The Chivalric Code, it is based on principles such as God fearing, courage, loyalty, respect, honor, speaking the truth, steadfastly faithful, finishing everything you start and never refusing a battle regardless of the odds.

It is for good reason why our men and women in uniform are known as “The Nation’s Finest”. For they have earned that badge of honor. They have exhibited these same qualities while enduring the most horrid of challenges that would literally break the spirit and will of the common man. Though writhing pain, the stench of carnage and the grievous hues of death permeates the battlefield, the soldier never questions the validity of the orders.

    Until now.

Barack Hussein Obama’s eligibility is challenged.

  12. UPDATE: MY MESSAGE BELOW WAS DELETED FROM COURT MARTIAL PAGE.

    At this site http://court-martial-ucmj.com/ltc-lakin-trial/comment-page-2/#comment-1232

I posted the link to an article at

    http://www.thepostemail.com/2010/09/19/military-law-manual-authority-to-order-courts-martial-resides-with-the-commander-in-chief/
In reference to Military Law Manual: Authority to order courts-martial resides with the Commander-in-Chief.

And Mr. Sullivan gave me his opinion. Here is my answer to him and his words.
    ———————————-
Thanks for your opinion Mr.Sullivan I’m not a lawyer, my English is broken since is not my first language, I posted the link to the article by Fitzpatrick, I thought it was educational, but I would like to ask you some questions since I guess you are a lawyer and please forgive me if I give my opinion on another issue. I will understand since is not related to the Court Martial if you ignore me. I will post this at the source of the article at http://www.thepostemail.com/2010/09/19/military-law-manual-authority-to-order-courts-martial-resides-with-the-commander-in-chief/

    —————————————–

    http://law.onecle.com/constitution/article-2/10-commander-in-chief.html

“Section 2. Clause 1. The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, (1) when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Office, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.”

Please explain the meaning of below.

1-When called into the actual Service of the United States,.

The Limited View.—The purely military aspects of the Commander-in-Chiefship were those that were originally stressed. Hamilton said the office “would amount to nothing more than the supreme command and direction of the Military and naval forces, as first general and admiral of the confederacy.”112 Story wrote in his Commentaries:(2) “The propriety of admitting the president to be commander in chief, so far as to give orders,

    http://michaelehline.amplify.com/2010/09/07/soldier-vindicated-deployment-order-revoked/

U.S. Army Major Stefan Cook has had his deployment order revoked. Yesterday we told you about Maj. Cook and his assertion that President Barack Obama is not a legal, natural-born U.S. citizen, and therefore does not have the authority to send soldiers to war. Today that deployment order was revoked with no statement from the military.

Obama, Barack – President, [D] United States
This review is now complete. And as Commander-in-Chief, I have determined that it is in our vital national interest to send an additional 30,000 U.S troops to Afghanistan
    ————————————————
    Mr. Sullivan
If Obama is a Constitutional president and per the Constitution the Commander in Chief like he said he is and he determined to send troops, why any judge or any military in service who took the Oath to the Constitution could not ask, verify or make sure after so many cases in court or comments by Constitutional experts to see his real long birth certificate verified by Hawaii as step one for his Constitutional post? Then after is done by the State ,the Senate should declare him natural born as they did with McCain, both parents at birth had to be citizens but Obama’s father was not citizen, then Senate will not override what they declare before it will have to be done by the Supreme Court, but they do not want to get involved like Judge Thomas said at Congress. What should We do then? Let it go, wait few years for the truth to come out or solve now by two ways, first at this Court Martial or an investigation by Congress to impeach the Usurper.
In the 19th century some new Republics in Latin America had their Constitutions similar to ours. Mexico in their 1917 Constitution has that to be elected president has to be a Mexican citizen by birth, in the full enjoyment of his rights, and the son of Mexican parents by birth.

In reference to your opinion below it’s like chinese to me, I do not understand.
If the Court Martial is giving to a soldier for not obey orders, and the cause for his reason exist but can not be seen by any one, like do not exist, the consequence is that we have the Constitutional Crisis we are facing. Some times I wonder how smart was Ben Franklin, when he gave us a Republic, and how ignorant we are because we didn’t know how to preserve it.

    http://court-martial-ucmj.com/ltc-lakin-trial/

    Dwight Sullivan 09.21.10 at 18:27

Ms. Mata, Colonel Winthrop indicated that the President has the power to convene general courts-martial as both an incident of his Commander in Chief authority and by statute under the Articles of War. Under Article 22(a)(1) of the UCMJ, that continues to be the case. But the President’s own power to convene general courts-martial doesn’t mean — and it isn’t the case — that military officers derive their authority to convene courts-martial from the President. Article I, Section 8, clause 14 of the Constitution gives Congress the power and authority “To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval forces.” Congress exercised that power by adopting the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Article 22 of the UCMJ (10 U.S.C. 822) governs who may convene general courts-martial. Among the classes of individuals so authorized is “any other commanding officer designated by the Secretary concerned.” There is almost certainly a Department of the Army General Order in which the Secretary of the Army has designated the Commander of the Military District of Washington as a general court-martial convening authority. That is the source of the convening authority’s power to create the general court-martial that is currently trying LTC Lakin and to refer LTC Lakin’s case to that general court-martial.
BTW, Walter Fitzpatrick’s account of history is seriously flawed.

  34. You put together a great video, CW. I think the relevance to the statement about R. Murdoch is very important here. I don’t know if the story about the media being threatened if they brought up the birth issues is true or not. Regardless, Glenn Beck is well aware of the controversy. I mentioned in a previous post that it was his email several years ago that alerted me to this story. He has mentioned on the air that he has the full force of the FOX news researchers and he pays for many more on his own. In fact, he has more paid researchers than anyone else in the media.

No one cany deny that he is on a mission to rid the government of corruption. He and his family are under constant guard. He did mention that he believes Obama to be born in Hawaii……But we all know, that has NOT been proven. I guess that is my point. Until he has proof positive of Obama being illegitmate, he won’t state, on-the-air, anything different.
He has everything to lose (including his family) if he can’t undeniably back up what he says.

Somehow I have this gut feeling that what he said on the air yesterday might be leading up to something big. He questioned why did the WH put up O’s presidential passport. I am questioning, why did Glenn bring it up?

Someone, somewhere is getting very close.

I remain astounded at the number of people who post here who cannot read, or having read, cannot understand – even the simplest and most transparent parables. I don’t know whether to laugh or weep!

Anybody who thinks that CW ought to be more pro-active in expressing his displeasure about certain behaviors on this blog needs to speak up. I do not advocate banning anyone (except under extremely dire and obvious circumstances), nor the legitimate debate of ideas – even conflicting ones. But I wish CW would at least post a warning to disengage from infantile activity. He has done it before and it is time to do it again.

As the recipient of a disproportionate number of vulgar attacks, it would seem too self-serving for me to complain too loudly. But if enough of you state that certain activities are poisoning this blog, perhaps he will listen to you.

As was pointed out yesterday, if not thousands, at least dozens, of worthy posters left this site precisely because of certain unacceptable activities. A bunch of the R-P groupies left simply because they were R-P groupies – I’m not talking about those. I’m talking about the large number that left because they found the atmosphere more congenial among that crowd of extremists. That is a shame and it could have been avoided.

That very well may be – but no one seems able to articulate what that is. It remains a nebulous cloud. Not to say that we should not worry and fight, but it is next to impossible to fight a fog.

In the meantime, while we are sorting that out, we need to ensure that the more minor (as you imply) enemies feel our wrath also. There is nothing wrong with applying the sword to the brigands we find along our path to the main goal.

PS – In addition to not knowing who this “main enemy” is, I’m not sure we are even looking in the right place. I think most of the common answers – Soros, NWO, International Bankers, etc. – are too pat and too flip. It would be nice if we had the resources of the MSM at our disposal – perhaps we could make more progress.

I read everything you post. As you may recall, I have called your insight and analysis “brilliant” on occasion. Everything you write, except on one topic, seems pertinent and insightful. That is why I am convinced that you are not inherently Anti-Semite, but just learned that “stuff” from somebody close to you or otherwise trusted – therefore have a difficult time letting it go. I was under the impression that some progress had been made last week in providing you with an antidote to that poison. Perhaps I am too optimistic.

    ================================

Wrong again – refusal or inability to READ. I said no such thing about CW or any other blogger here. That comments was CLEARLY directed at just some of the “stuff” YOU post.

On the other hand, perhaps you did read it. You have over and over identified yourself with CW and with this blog as somehow the official spokesman and police. You have been more than clear on numerous occasions that any disagreement with you on anything is a direct frontal attack on CW, this blog, all the bloggers, and all that is righteous and holy. That must be quite a weight for you to bear.

Then perhaps we have revealed our enemy. . . the UN. Who controls it? Who funds it? Who fears it? Who obeys it?

    ======================================

The UN is CERTAINLY an enemy to the US – and has been for decades. It has also evolved into being Anti-Western-Civilization. At this point in time it is a TOP enemy – whether or not the #1 enemy, I don’t know.

Another TOP enemy is the unholy combination of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. These have always since the beginning in the late ’40s been detrimental to the United States. But again has evolved into a primary channel to MAKE the US pay “reparations” to 3rd world countries for having the audacity to out-develop them. “We have used more than our fair share of the world’s resources, not it is there turn.”

NOW – PLEASE LISTEN CAREFULLY – CCFUBO “SCOOP”

You may have heard me criticize Paul Wolfowitz before. Many readers would say “who?”. My “scoop” is that PW may be the most evil man on the planet. He is not rich like George Soros, but he has been just barely behind the curtain of the worst abuses of power in the last few decades. He is the common denominator to all that is bad – but always escaping unscathed. (example: He more than any other person – not Bush, not Cheney, not Rumsfield, not Rove – was THE INSTIGATOR and force behind the Iraq war.) One thing that makes him so evil is that he may be the smartest “world figure” or “statesman” in generations. There is NOTHING more evil than misguided genius.

(Yes, maybe he is even a Jew – but I am not criticizing his “Jewishness” – I criticize the man regardless of culture or ethnicity.)

    Read about him here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Wolfowitz

This wikipedia article is recommend with all the usual caveats, of course, and obviously does not get deeply into his evil. But read about his succession of assignments and consider the positions he has been in and how much trouble he can make.

But, now full, circle – guess what his last Big Gig was? Drum roll. President of the World Bank – where his self-chosen emphasis was “the poorest people of Africa”.

One of these days soon I hope to write a summarizing essay on the Bretton Woods agreement, the WB and IMF, Keynesian economics, and why Europe and US, in particular, are in the toilet right now. I am trying to condense it enough to fit on this blog.

All this is probably New News to most of you. “If this is SO BAD, how come I have not heard of it?” Guess!

PPS – In a rare shoutout to Truthers – If there is any truth at all to the idea that Government officials knew about or were even involved in 9/11 events – start with Paul Wolfowitz. This is definitely something he is evil enough to do, and fits PERFECTLY with his misguided WORLD VIEW.

In truth, it matters little because we can never know for sure, though we will find an answer of sorts every day living with the consequences. It is sad, but FS poisons this blog just as he claims BP has poisoned the Gulf. It has become too much to endure. He posts the SAME OLD VIDEOS, the SAME OLD QUOTES about grand juries (THIS IS A MENTAL ILLNESS – I suspect he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and does not remember he has already posted the same information, sometimes two or three times even within the same thread). How much of his crap can a sane person endure? He has effectively diluted and dismantled the function of this blog – to be a place where people can share information and ideas and build a consensus to approach the grave problems that challenge our very existence. In my opinion, nothing else he says can redeem the fact that FS continuously poisons this blog and undermines almost everyone else that posts good information and intelligent observations.

This is a good example of a non credible report. It is rendered non credible by the inexperience of the poster. It is all about timing and assumptions. This is a very old picture, and came from a reasonably credible source. But it was based on an assumption that the oil spill would go on much longer than it did and with more intensity/volume. It was also based on the fact that the surface pollutants would spread out and catch a ride on the loop current. Both of these assumptions are now known to be false.

Repeating what was once a credible projection of what MIGHT happen, when it is no longer applicable, is amateur journalism at best, and purposeful disinformation at worst.

I don’t even know the person and really don’t care one way or another, but this is why I repeatedly blast the “work” of this individual. Sterling, Va.
Flanked by drywall and cedar planks at a family-owned lumber company, House Republicans on Thursday released a long-promised governing agenda, laced with ‘tea party’ slogans, that aims to create jobs by shrinking the size and scope of government.

Call it the un-stimulus. The heart of the Republican plan is that you create jobs by cutting government spending and reducing the uncertainty so that small businessmen, like the Tart Lumber Company in Sterling, Va., can invest and hire.
The plan would permanently extend the Bush tax cuts, repeal and replace health-care reform, zero-out unspent stimulus funds, and roll back government spending to 2008 levels – before President George W. Bush bailed out banks or President Barack Obama signed a $789 billion stimulus package.

The Deepwater Horizon wellhead that tapped the Macondo reservoir was capped on 15 July 2010. After the venting of oil and gas into the Gulf waters was stopped, everyone felt a sense of relief. Multiple news outlets have reported that the surface oil has disappeared, for the most part. I read many reports that stated conclusively the oil had been either transferred to the atmosphere (via evaporation) or that it had been consumed by oil-eating microorganisms. Everyone’s reaction was, not surprisingly, ‘what a relief !!’.

Should we be relieved? Is this disaster over?

On the whole, I believe the answer to both questions is no… The fact that this oil is “invisible” makes it no less of a danger to the Gulf’s fragile ecosystems. Quite the contrary, the danger is real and the danger is much more difficult to quantify, track and assess.

Or, maybe, I dunno, maybe I watch too much television?

But here is the vision. Picture a dark attic somewhere where lives a mal-content. Everything is dirty and grungy and ill kept. The clear intent is that the lowest of scum lives here. And as the ‘camera’ pushes into the interior, we see an old rickety door a bit ajar. With fear and trepidation we carefully peek into this room (all the while scary moody music is playing). In there we see what can only be called a shrine. The object and subject of the said mal-content’s life is plastered all over the wall. Photographs, newspaper clippings – anything and everything. Various particular passages are circled. There are strings and pins every which way connecting this with that and that with this. There are darts and knives stuck into the pictures in some cases. In a couple of places the pictures or articles have been violently ripped from the walls. In other cases, various items have been crossed out with giant X’s carved into them. Some have a large red slashed circle pasted over them. On the table are many more items waiting to be pinned or pasted to the wall. And then the camera pans around the room – same on both side walls, same on back wall, even over the door frame – there is no empty space left.

Then it just sort of fades out. I never see the mal-content and I could not see the object of his psychopathic lust.

I just don’t know why I am getting all these dreams and visions lately.

This is a correct assessment. THIS is what Sunstein and Obots do. Thank you for recognizing that.

  107. If this bill passes then all sunstein has to do is have one of his obots like citizen carlyle/bo post false “terrorist” info on CW and bo’s dept of injustice will shut CW down.

As Philip Giraldi notes, the government continues to invent excuses to intervene into the internet. All of these “arguments for intervention are essentially themselves fraudulent and are in reality being exploited by those who favor big government and state control,” writes Giraldi. “The real reason for controlling the internet is to restrict access to information, something every government seeks to do.”

In July, a hosting company pulled the plug on Blogetery, a blog website, after the FBI told the hosting service that a blog on the site had posted bomb-making information.

PS – let me add some explanation – and “unintended” consequences.

This law allows the authorities to operate in a “guilty until proven innocent” mode. Upon being challenged or suspected, a website can be shut down until they can prove that the website has no copyright violations. Which means that there is no quoted material or that all quoted material has appropriate approvals and signed paperwork to back it up.

For a “designed” website in which the owner and author is responsible for the entire content, this is risky enough. But for ANY blog site in which a vast majority of the content is provide by “outsiders”, this is fatal.

There is no blog in existence what does not at least APPEAR to violate copyright restrictions every day. Even without attributed quotes, if any blogger says anything close to what is in printed materials, they can be held under suspicion of copyright violations until they can prove that they neither plagiarized nor paraphrased published copyrighted material.

Such a law would allow the authorities to shut down any blog indefinitely for essentially no reason, no due process, or no oversight. Try to convince me that said authorities will never use the power of this tyrannical law for political purposes, or “legally” curtail free speech.

“bo demRats have much of a chance of survival.”
Let us hope that bo demRats do not survive-DNC went with suicide by Obama so I hope they all go down big time. I always wondered what purge really meant when I read in history books, Russia-such and such party got purged-Dems should have purged long ago, they have gotten so far off the track it is unreal-if 10 per cent decent Dems remain, they can go back to the basics and start again with a clean slate and some decent ideas based on the Constitution.

  111. If passed this is the law that the bo regime will use to shut down blogs like CW.

    http://www.examiner.com/technology-in-san-francisco/the-combating-online-infringement-and-counterfeits-act

Copyright holders already have the tools required to remove infringing content in the form of DCMA notices. Unlike DCMA which is used by copyright holders to specifically target infringing content, this bill uses the broad stroke of a government agency to shut down an entire site. Many questions remain. For example, at what point will Blogger… be labeled as an infringing site and be shut down blacking out all content including those which are not infringing? Does the infringing material have to be 10% or 90% of the content?

  112. Being that copyright owners already have provisions in existing copyright laws to enforce copyrights coupled with the fact that this bill would do nothing to enforce foreign infringers of US copyright holders; this bill is NOTHING MORE THAN AN INTERNET CENSORSHIP BILL.

  113. Re: Blogetery. There is a lot of misinformation about what took place. The whole thing has been resolved. Here are the facts:

There was one blog on the Blogetery system that was a front for Al Qaeda. They were posting a “newspaper” or something like that, and they were posting information on how to make bombs.

The FBI during their investigation discovered the name of the hosting company and sent them a letter. The owner of Blogetery was not contacted by the FBI, and he was away when the hosting company, acting upon a statement in the letter, pulled the plug on Blogetery. They did not contact the owner of Blogetery when they did this action. Instead they gave him some form of refund. The owner of Blogetery lives in Canada.

What the hosting company did was wrong. It was not done on the urging of the FBI and the FBI did not demand that all the blogs were to be shut down.

The last time that I looked for information, the people responsible for the Al Qaeda blog had been arrested and are to be prosecuted because of their activity. I assume that the FBI now has possession of the blog content which will be used as evidence.

The actions of the FBI in shutting down that particular blog was legal. The actions of the hosting company was in my view illegal and unwarranted. However, the owner of the Blogetery site still has the obligation to ensure that such sites are shut down as quickly as possible.

    “Sigh…

CC – give up. It’s not worth your time and effort to combat this loser.”

Many readers concur with your comment here and also think Free Speech has poisoned this blog like Soetoro et al & BP have poisoned the Gulf. I have tried to give to Free Speech the advice to please get his own blog. Unfortunately Free Speech has run amok and hijacked this blog and has run it into the sewer but CW allows Free Speech & also a few other rude and disgusting egotistical & mean spirited commentators tirades to go unchecked.

Helen thinks Free Speech is running this blog now and she thinks CW is not involved with this blog any more because it has been overrun with so much bizarre poisonous, evil hearted, & mean spirited personal attacks that she doesn’t think CW is officially involved with this blog or running it any longer.

When I see Free Speech, CC’s, & Aussie names I cruise on by and don’t bother to read what they say. I do look at the videos that are posted here. How true, there are gems here, but you have to wade though the manure and it gets tedious and I just cruise on by now and rarely will I take the time to post here anymore since Free Speech, Aussie, CC and others have blown this blog into an Alzhheimer’s attack mode sewer with their mental and emotional problems and after a long day and night of work I’d rather avoid precious life and time reading their poisonous posts. I only take the time to read the informative commenters who are great on here who don’t personally attack other commenters, and who state their opinions, thoughts, or disagreements with respect, dignity, and with polite manners.

  115. With regard to blogging and the right to free speech, if such legislation is passed and challenged at the SCOTUS level, that legislation will be struck down, so long as Anthony Kennedy remains on the bench. This is one of my conclusions based upon the content of the judgment and opinion given in the Citizens United case. The 5 justices (the majority) were very concerned about the chilling of free speech which is why they made their decision in that case.

I tend to agree, Aussie. However it would takes years for a case to get on the SCOTUS docket and in the meantime, the bo regime will have stopped free speech at a crucial time while bo is installing his Totalitarian Police State. Once the bo regime has complete control does it matter what SCOTUS rules?

I was able to follow you into that room which evidenced that the mal-content is a very disturbed, perhaps, psycho who spends much time and effort in arranging and coordinating all of the info gleaned from many sources.
Furthermore, it appears that this inner sanctum is frequented often, because there is evidence of recent activity of the sort to cause an observer to believe this is the main interest of the occupant – This inner sanctum is the room where the occupant spends the most time and derives the most satisfaction.
This haunt also reveals a definite, conscious effort by the occupant to discriminately select the material that suits the particular fancy at the moment. A very strange vision, indeed!

We have to put these things into perspective and not get too bristled over what’s perceived as an insult. A certain poster here, or, several, have said insulting or hurtful things to many of us at times, but we have to give them the benefit of the doubt and move on. As you say, we can just skip over, but that should not keep us from posting what we feel needs to be shared.

I wrote earlier today something that might help. I suggested it was inappropriate to ban any poster except under the most extreme circumstances. But I asked that any and all that are concerned about the “tone” of the blog to make a note to CW that he at least post a warning to cease and desist on certain juvenile and harmful activities.

Now would be a good time to speak up.

So far, I have seen no such requests posted here by anybody. For those who are concerned, please do this. Complaining directly to the source is ineffectual – just a simple short note to CW will help.

  125. @Cabby,

I have noted that there are some posters here who DO in fact bear a grudge. What is worse is that one particular posted continues to be a real hypocrite with comments, including the belittling of others, but cannot stand to be corrected when said poster continues to post what has no relevance to this blog.
A real pity, because I have tried to correct some of the misinformation regarding certain subjects including what took place when Blogetery was taken down.
I had a blog on Blogetery, but I rarely used that blog, so it was no big deal for me to lose it. As such I was interested in learning the truth, and I discovered that there was a very different story to the one floating about that it was the government, or the FBI that had “closed” down Blogetery, affecting all the people who posted blogs there. It was not the case at all.

The pulling of Blogetery was solely the responsibility of the web hosting site. The web hosting site had received a letter from the FBI relating to ONE blog, which was run by Al Qaeda loyalists. Those people have now been arrested and arraigned because of their activities, and I have no doubt that the blog content will be a part of the prosecution case against them. They did not recommend that all blogs on Blogetery should be shut down.

I suspect that the owner of Blogetery might even consider suing the web hosting company over that action. It was wrong, and it should never have happened. Had the owner of Blogetery been informed that these people were using the service, he would have pulled the plug on them. He lives in Canada.

    Here is a POLL

Since it has been brought up today and a couple of posters have weighed in, here is a poll where you can help steer the “tone” of this blog. Please post your choice of which you would prefer to see me do:

    A. Call out “the problem” for juvenile and disruptive behavior – particularly when I am misquoted or misrepresented – this is hard for me not to do in that I don’t want lies about me multiplied – but I will follow the will of the righteous posters here – perhaps the “high moral ground” answer is to let others point out the misquotes – but I would not ask anyone to do that because that would result in taking an inevitable verbal bullet for me.

    B. Point out false or misleading postings – particularly as regards the GOM – the purpose being to remove confusion.

    C. Post correct and well-researched posting regarding the GOM, but without even indirect reference to false ones, and let the reader, cognizant of source, sort out the wheat from the chaff.

    D. Simply post comments of my own choosing but being especially careful to not refer directly or indirectly to “the problem”. This is the head in the sand, denial, pretend it doesn’t exist approach. But perhaps the best for the sanity and smoothing functioning of this blog.

  129. CW – Thank you so much for maintaining this forum where we can share our concerns and those of others. It has been an extremely useful tool in disseminating information that many otherwise would not hear.

Also, very much appreciated are your persistent and consistent efforts to keep us abreast of those subjects that are the closest to your heart – Blago and Chicago thugs, O’s ineligibility, Lt.Col. Lakin’s ordeal, and on and on. Your being on top of these issues helps to keep us fired up also.

Now, there has developed a problem here over the last number of weeks where there has been a great deal of incivility that is offensive to many.
I’m not suggesting that anyone be banned from posting, but a word from you – reminding us of our obligation to be respectful and not go on the offensive attack as some have – would be most helpful and appreciated.

We all get very passionate about the subjects that motivate us, but this business of calling people “obots” is hurtful and nonproductive.

Thank you for listening. May God bless!

But I agree with Free Speech that in the meantime – and it could be a long meantime, and at a very critical juncture – Internet Citizen Journalism (AKA: The Voice of Truth) could be effectively silenced.

We need to watch this legislation very carefully. And like with Gun Rights legislation and other Pet Projects of the Lunatic Left, this is not going to go away. They will just keep pounding away with different variants. It will be another decades long game of Whack-a-Mole.

Thanks for correcting the misconceptions about the Blogetery matter. There is SO much information bombarding us daily over the internet, and couple that with human misunderstanding at times, a real brew can develop. That’s why it is vital that the subject be brought back to being in line with TRUTH before it gets so far afield and widely disseminated.

  134. @CC,

yes, you have it correct.. it is hate with a passion. On top of that there is the hypocrisy of the declaration of being a “Christian”, yet in the next breath she is going over the edge with comments like “you are mean-sprited, blah blah” and that kind of outrage comes even when she is not being addressed.

It sure sounds like someone who needs to be on medication… but then again it is probably because she is mixed up with the TAP crowd.

  135. @FS and CC,

both of you have a point about the length of time that it could take to get something so evil to be overridden by the SCOTUS. The Citizens United case took a few years to be heard. However, keep in mind that the lower courts do have recourse to using the decisions of the SCOTUS.

After the Citizens United case there was another that involved something similar and the lower court took into account the ruling in Citizens United. Having read through the majority of the Citizens United judgment, I am hopeful that a lower court would rule against legislation that attempted in such an outrageous fashion to limit the right of bloggers to have free speech.

This is one of those issues that impacts the rest of the free world. I am on your side here. Now that we have a Marxist in control of the Australian govt. and the watermelons have been given greater power (the watermelons are the Green Party), I fear that they will take the lead from the Congress of the USA and attempt to introduce and pass their own version of that legislation.

I am hoping that the Republicans can take the House of Representatives so that there will be an end to the insane agenda. On top of that I am hoping that Tony Abbott will succeed in forcing a situation where we Australians will have to go back to the polls (and this time that the electorate will get it right by not voting for watermelon candidates!!)
