Barack Obama, Commander in chief?, US Constitution, Oath of office, US Military, ZachJonesIsHome, Tortured Duty & Tortured Mission, Military service, Natural born citizen issue will not go away

“I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and
defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies,
foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to
the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental
reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully
discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter.
So help me God.”
US Military officer’s oath of office

Officers in the service of the United States are
bound by this oath to disobey any order that
violates the Constitution of the United States.

From the 20th Amendment to the US Constitution.

“or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until
a President shall have qualified;”

I never refer to Barack Obama as president. The 20th Amendment to the US Constitution reveals why.

Zach, the name I use for the owner of the Zach Jones Is Home blog, has been a patriot blogger for almost two years, in the struggle to expose the truth about Barack Obama and to save this country. I have had many phone and email discussions with Zach. He has been an invaluable contributor to this blog and to the combined efforts of citizen journalists. In the article below provided by Zach today, January 1, 2010, Zach writes of his and his family’s military service. I would like to thank Zach, his family and all of those who have served this country in the military. I would also like to thank Zach for his efforts to reveal the truth about Obama and to take back this country.

From Zach Jones Is Home, January 1, 2010.

“American Soldiers – Tortured Duty & Tortured Mission – The Whys and Whats Becoming Harder to Answer?”

“Families that honor military service are spread all across this nation.  I grew up in one. Even as a teenager in the sixties, I remember knowing that freedom wasn’t free.  My father had served in Patton’s 3rd Army, fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and served as a guard at the Nuremberg War Trials. How could I not know the price of freedom? WWII, now that was a just war.  Everyone knew it.  Everyone knew the war had to be won at all costs because failure clearly meant tyranny and death for an entire people, the Jewish people. Everyone knew, even the media knew the Whys and Whats.  Why they were fighting? What they were fighting for? They knew the cost of winning and losing! And,  victory wasn’t a dirty word.

However, my brother and I served in the United States Navy during a time in America’s history dominated by numbing callousness, selfishness, and indifference.  The loss of the Vietnam War brought about by the media and endless protests of duplicitous, naïve dreamers and schemers; the festering pain of Watergate continuously exploited by politicians in D.C., the good but lackluster caretaker President Ford portrayed as a bumbling stumbling fool on Saturday Night Live, the My Lai massacre and Lt. Calley’s conviction not quite distant enough to avoid its stench, and a war/corruption weary people’s vote for change promised by Jimmy Carter all marked this period.  Amazingly, like today, Carter’s change didn’t live up to expectations. Instead it brought gas lines, high inflation, 20+ percent interest rates and high unemployment – despair.”

“It was a perfect storm that had brought us Carter Presidency.  And with it’s battered and bruised image, the United States military seemed to have a hell of time riding out that storm until President Reagan could put his hands to the reigns. Reagan’s zero-tolerance drug testing came along after I got out and things started turning around rather quickly according to my brother.  I believe the foundation that President Reagan built (or rebuilt) continues to serve soldiers today and will not be easily surrendered by the military leadership.”

“See no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil is not a command structure that serves the military or the individual soldier well.  Neither is going with the flow.

But it’s the military leadership, the career guys and gals, who have a shot at controlling or changing the flow. Yes, sometimes they fail, but it’s their job to address the issues. It’s especially egregious when they, like politicians, just won’t see or acknowledge that something is becoming a problem – when they don’t want to get ‘their’ hands dirty or risk jeopardizing ‘their’ career paths.  Two words – Ft. Hood.

And so I come to write this conflicted accolade to today’s American Soldier.”

“Soldiers serving in the first few years after 9/11 must have had an incredible sense of the Whys and Whats that carried them through each and every day.”

“Today, we have Obama in the Oval Office and a Democratic controlled Congress (dominated by the radical left since 2006) and they are galloping as fast as they can towards creating a socialist system that would make Vladimir Ilyich Lenin proud. If you look past the rhetoric you easily see that they are attempting to create larger and larger voting blocks that are wholly dependent on the federal government, hands out, afraid to question anything, afraid to vote for anyone calling for personal responsibility. Having a nation of sheeple, like birds at a bird feeder, is not good for the country or our future. Look at the recent action Obama took diminishing our American sovereignty on Dec. 17. Constitution be damned.  Does anyone really think the Second Amendment is safe?”

“I use the phrase “defending freedom overseas” instead of “around the world” because, as much as I love them, I’m not sure they are defending our freedoms at home.  I can’t really blame the enlisted soldier because when I was in the military, I didn’t have time to keep up with what politicians at home were attempting to do to us. I basically thought politicians were all self-serving pieces of crap and the voting process would weed them out.  Unfortunately, that’s not the case today. (The statement that politicians “were all self-serving pieces of crap” is still accurate, but the vote might not be able to undo the damage they are doing to our freedoms and the Constitution.)

And the military leadership continues to see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil and ignore “the flow” that’s becoming more and more turbulent.

(And the American soldier is expected to accept “the flow” as he or she finds it?)”

“All of these illustrate situations where officers up the chain of command, including the “Commander In Chief”, appear ready to shirk their duty to the Constitution and America Soldiers under their command so they can protect their relatively trivial career ambitions and/or pursue their personal political agendas.

This is when it becomes hard to answer the Whats and Whys.  What does support and defend the Constitution mean?  Who are the enemies of the United States?  Why am I defending something that seems optional for my superior officers?   What is really important to the chain of command – advancement, career or the Oath? Who are the Oathkeepers? Why should I obey my superior officers when they choose to ignore parts of the Constitution? What’s the point? What am I doing that protects the Constitution and the Freedoms of my family and friends?”

“The duty – I think of this as the soldier doing his or her best to live up to the oath they took when they enlisted.  Basically the duty is to support, protect and defend the Constitution and the freedoms/protections flowing from it to each and every citizen.”

“The “natural born citizen” issue will not go away and I’m sure it’s on the minds of many in the military; it affects morale, re-enlistment decisions, and how many traditional military supporters view the institution.  It’s similar to how the epidemic of drug use in the 70’s military effected civilians & soldiers who knew about the problem and cared about what it said about the institution.”

“To the American Soldier – Thank you for your service and sacrifices for this country.

I am truly sorry to be in the position of having to speak so bluntly about an institution that I love.”

  1. Hey…I just got contacted by BROWN campaign for cyber-phone banking…I am READY!
Does anyone know if calling political-pushing is off-limits on New Years Day? I have noone around with time on my hands.

  2. Thank you CitizenWells! I hope you have great success this year and we all know what that means. Zach

Very good writing. I also served during the 60’s and this coward in chief is not the Commander in Chief. He is a fraud. I would be in so much trouble now, if I was still in the military. It was bad enough serving under carter, I don’t think I could serve under a British subject (obama).

Let me clarify-any criticism of the current administration that is accurate is a valid critism. I think it the duty and obligation of all citizens of any party to speak out when they see a wrong. It does not make something more/less correct if a President or potus is commiting an act. We are all well are aware of fraud crimes commited by DNC, Madame Pelosi and Obama and they want “respect”? Respect is earned not bought or purchased.

  5. Don in California

Michelle: Respect is earned not bought or purchased.

    How very true.

  6. Jonah:

I agree with you about the separation of powers. It seems this administration doesn’t care about the Constitution. When someone asked pelosi whether forcing people to buy health insurance was constitutional, all she could say was “are you serious?”

I think Scott Brown would be a very viable candidate for President. He is showing a lot of promise. You guys are making him well known very fast. I was sort of hoping for a “dark horse candidate” myself, and Scott has many of my favorite attributes-fiscal responsibility, a military background, much etc. 2012 or sooner depending.
I would love to watch Scott debate Obama. I know not a fair fight. Scott discusses issues coming from experience and good common sense as opposed to Obama’s boring company line. Obama is so one note.

  8. I go over to every so often & am surprised that these unconstitutional issues are rarely mentioned in their discussion forums. I suppose, not being in the military, that there are reasons I don’t understand. But I am bringing this over from the last thread regarding Oathkeepers:

  9. It is 2010, what is the game plan? When are we taking it to streets to be heard? The rally needs to be for Natural Born Citizen. I need someone to explain to me, how the son of a foreignor is an American Commander in Chief. Surely we have a fraud on our soil. Time to Rock and Roll some heads.

  10. Happy New Year to All

Let our greatest efforts in taking back and restoring America come forward this 2010.

I have been enjoying the magnificent Rose Bowl Parade, this morning. This parade is one of the finest examples of the benefits of capitalism combined with the finest within American Society. It embraces everything that is great about our values and aspirations. The floats represent the great achievement of talent and team work. The dignitaries–especially this years’s grand Marshal–Captain Sully(spl.?) who landed his plane safely in the Hudson River represent the finest moral character and dedication to duty humanity is capable of producing. Let us not let any one take this away from us to take us back into the dark ages.

Interestingly–Barry and Michelle Evita were conspicuosly absent from one of this country’s great traditions. They are too busy vacationing in Hawaii on the tax payers stolen blood, sweat and tears money.

Let today mark the beginning of the anger of America converting to action. Let us be brutal in the facts we collect to turn them into ammunition against the tyranny of
this fraudulent government. Let us first start with identifying the reality of what they are actually doing. With this thought I would like to include a post from another blogger who is known as Sherman Tank–

“While one New Years Day Paper headlines that “President Asif Ali Zardari has vowed to defeat the Taliban and al-Qaida (See, another article by Sharon Theimer, printed, Jan 1, 2010, the AP News reports, that the Saudi and Norway Governments Give MILLIONS to BILL CLINTON. In that same article, it states, “WASHINGTON (AP) – Foreign countries including Saudi Arabia and Norway gave millions of dollars to former President Bill Clinton’s charity as Hillary Rodham Clinton served her first year as President Barack Obama’s secretary of state. A donor list released on New Year’s Day by the William J. Clinton Foundation shows that Saudi Arabia and Norway each donated somewhere between $10 million to $25 million to the former president’s charity. The BIGGEST DONORS included the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which gave more than $25 million.” (See

AMERICA: What’s wrong with this left wing liberal-Democrat-fueled picture? Do you REALLY believe the Democrats are fighting Al Qaida? Or do you believe that everything they do is geared toward lining their own pockets? Meanwhile Americans are JOBLESS, lost our homes to foreclosure, OUTSOURCING continues unabated, our troops are still in Iraq and Afghanistan dying for an ungrateful President, NAFTA still exists, sucking up our jobs and we now stand to lose what health care we already may have; not to mention this stupid president wants to REDISTRIBUTE YOUR WEALTH, no matter how small. ALL the promises this President made are unmitigated LIES. He signaled right and turned left off the cliff.”

I am beginning New Years with this specific piece because it is spot on as to why this government chooses to use politically correct babble in place of calling Muslim terrorist attacks exactly what they are. Thier refusal to call a spade a spade is strongly suggestive they are complicit in these attacks. At this stage, it is imperative– if we our to protect ourselves– to be precise in identifying our enemy.

Remove the fraud from office in 2010. Failue is not an option.

    Yes we can!

  11. Nancy Drew……………………………………
First of all MMMSSS. PEPOSI is a TOTAL NINCOMPOOP, who is so caught up in her POWER INTOXICATION, that she is unable to function logically. She lives in her own LITTLE FANTASY WORLD wherein she is GOD and therefore can DO ANYTHING SHE PLEASES TO ANYONE . In reality she is a PSYCHOPATH. (PARANOID), schizophrenia. She demonstrates ALL of the classic symptoms everytime she is on television. She then confirms her illness by opening her mouth. US Navy officers are required to undergo periodic fittness examination, including psychiatric. Why the hell are people like her, and her crowd allowed to get by without such fitness axams? After all they are in a higher pay grade than most of our Naval Officers. It is obvious to me that this is just one facet of the whole picture, but clearly it indicates the need for CHANGE, but not Soetoro type of change. More like getting mentally compromised people out of government. This includes NARCISSISTIC persons. They are UNFIT FOR DUTY.

  12. Happy New Year…..

    Looking forward to 2010. I’m so excited! 2010 goals…

Defeat of Health Care and Cap and Trade Bills.

Removal of Obama (aka. the destroyer, divider, lair, fraud, joker, etc.) from office.

Let’s get busy, time is wasting.

    Happy New Year, Magna!

Ya knowm I wouldn’t mind a phone call however, it is a holiday and some may get a little twitchy with a political call on New Year’s Day.

I would start on Saturday, which is exactly what I intend to do…call ’em and bomb all *my* personal constituents with e-mail :).

  14. Thanks Sue…will wait then.I will map out my door-knocking here in Houston Jack-Ass Lee’s district.I so hope we can lose her this time.

  15. Michelle // January 1, 2010 at 2:33 pm

    You betcha, Michelle!

Those of us here in Taxachusetts have been following Scott for quite some time, and I was thrilled when he announced back in September!

Of course, everyone in these parts with a TV knows his wife, Gail Huff, and Ayla came into the spotlight with her appearance on American Idol.

Yes, I can see him as POTUS, as well. Not to compare, but he holds the very same values as Mrs. Palin and would also be a strong leader, I think.

I’d like to see a Barky/Scott debate, too, just as much as I’d like to see a Barky/Sarah debate. My TV is rarely turned on, but I’d do it for that :).

  16. magna carta // January 1, 2010 at 3:04 pm

Magna, I’m *so* sorry you got stuck with Lee! By all means, get that fool outta there!

I have a pal and her hubby in Houston. Let me shoot her an e-mail and get her take on Lee; bet it’s the same as the rest of us. Dumb azz…..

  18. Honest to goodness who writes this twinky garbage, former soap opera writers? Obama doesn’t have a battery that needs recharging, in his case the thing called a mind just doesn’t work.
CBS Frets Obama Must Work and So Can’t ‘Recharge His Batteries’ During Hawaii Vacation
By Brent Baker (Bio | Archive)
    January 1, 2010 – 14:02 ET
The failures that allowed the unsuccessful Christmas Day terrorist attack have marred President Barack Obama’s relaxation schedule in Hawaii, CBS’s Jeff Glor and Chip Reid regretted Thursday night as Reid fretted Obama had “hoped to spend this vacation recharging his batteries, but now he appears to be spending most of it working” and assured viewers Obama is moving fast to protect Americans: “The President has immersed himself in the details of the review and that individuals will be held accountable, but the top priority now is to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”

  19. HAPNHAL…………………………………..

Your rifle is well zeroed. Now all we need is to pray that the MORON puts himself squarely in front of one of his own GOON squads, like the SCOTUS, and that whatever he does puts all of them in one hell of a bind. You wouldn’t have to fire a shot. The SCOTUS would finish him off. After all they too know when to abandon ship, and I am sure that they too are holding a lot of secret information that if publically exposed would end Soetoro’s little adventure immediately. If they really got pi$$ed of at him I believe that they could take him out with a smile. Soetoro would be the first to be thrown OVERBOARD. The public would be so caught up in watching Soetoro swim for his life that they would totally forget about his GOON squad. One by one they would exit in a lifeboat on the opposite side of the ship.

  21. Great words Zach.

I just got through with my favorite New Years Day passtime watching the US Natl. Debt Clock. I have the unfortunate duty to tell you that the total US Unfunded Liabilities is $106 TRILLION DOLLARS

  22. Has anybody wondered what else he is doing in Hawaii besides vacationing? Maybe making visits to see MMMSSS. FUK—INO, and sort of showing her the trail to follow, and what to say.

That is a GREAT pic on Lame Cherry! Reminds me of the mug shot of him on Oil For Immigration site a few months ago.

  24. I’m hoping Rush Limbaugh will do a little investigation of Obama’s birth certificate while he’s laid up in the hospital.

    I’ll be back later.

  25. zachjonesishome……………………………………..

While you were in did you ever run across Kerry anywhere? I personally think he is a lying sack of manure? He was allegedly in a position to write HIMSELF up for service medals. Pretty damned unique wouldn’t you say. I served during the Korean war, and to my knowledge NOBODY had the right, or authority to write themselves up for service medals, no matter who he/she was, or what their rank was.

  26. Rush Limbaugh to Address Public on Health Condition:

Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh will hold a press conference at 10:45 a.m. to update the public on his health condition.

He will be joined by officials from the Queen’s Medical Center.

Limbaugh was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after experiencing chest pains.

  27. truthbetold11

Rush might say? Thank you folks for your prays and cards. I am feeling better since ive been at obamas hospital. Excuse me sir a hospital spokesperson he was born at the other hospital. Rush oh i thought it was this one! Can someone find out please! Bingo instant publicity

I am at a loss for words when it comes to the compromised position in which pp has put our servicemen/women who put their lives on the line every day for our freedom.

I thank you and your family for your service to our country, and I pray for an end to this shabby treatment of our servicemen/women.

Peace be with you and your family…Linda

  31. Rush in on now! Fox News!

  32. I can see the headlines tomorrow:

Rush Uses Health Scare in Hawaii to Destroy Obamacare.

I’m grateful he is doing well.

  33. I mean Rush did say that he received exceptional care at that hospital (SueK did say it was a very good facility), and he said that it proves there is nothing wrong with the healthcare as it is. At the end of the news conference he stated something like he could not say anymore at the time because it was not the right time & place to bring up & speak about political issues.

Note: When Rush said he didn’t receive any special treatment because of who he is, I am inclined to not believe that.

Ya, when he went winging his way to Paradise on our dime, I asked myself the same question: Was he going to visit his pals at HI DOH while he was there? Go out for a Mai-Tai with them, perhaps? Confiscate his own records, maybe?

  39. Don in California

    Confiscate his own records, maybe?
    Or replace them?

  40. Rush was at Queens…wasn’t that one of the two hospitals Obama was born at?

  41. You decide

What Should Obama Set as His Top Priority in 2010?

Those are great, thanks for the laugh.

  49. A year ago tonight I was looking forward with great anticipation to the presidency of Barack Obama. I thought that this may very well be the “new age” that I have been looking forward to for most of my life. What a difference a year makes. Thus far, as you might imagine, I have been let down by this president. That is why it is so funny to see him labeled by the Right a “radical socialist”. If Obama were half as radical as the Conservative media is trying to portray him, people like me wouldn’t be one tenth as disappointed in him as we are.

Don’t misunderstand, I am still grateful that he was elected last year. I thank God every day that John McCain will not be sleeping in the Executive Mansion tonight and that Fascist Barbi will not be a heartbeat away from the presidency. While it is true that he has not yet given us the “change we can believe in”, it is still too early in his term to make any final assessment. There is some time for optimism – although that time is dwindling rapidly. Still, the alternative to Obama’s election last year is just too weird to even contemplate. We should be grateful for that – I guess.
