Sarah Palin, Vice Presidential candidate in the 2008 election and author of a new book, “Going Rogue”, will be on the Rush Limbaugh show on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Rush Limbaugh loves Palin’s new book and believes she should not be ruled out for the 2012 elections. Rush states:
“truly one of the most substantive policy books I’ve read.”
“This woman, Gov. Palin, clearly is jazzed by policy, particularly environmental policy and energy policy.”
Several weeks ago, Rush Limbaugh had this to say about Sarah Palin and her new book on the Greta Van Susteren Show.

Think back on the recent thread here at CW about the clip with Beck saying something to the effect of “it’s not that we don’t like this guy.” That was very telling.
What was evident at that moment was he/they/FOX were going to “soften” or back away from their approach of “going after O.” Waiting a day or so watching the headlines will usually reveal exactly what was meant.
In this case, the headlines that followed that statement were of Major Garrett scoring an interview with “O.” I was waiting for that one.
It’s how the media game is played. It’s a very serious game…of numbers. After all, it’s always about building their viewership and, thus advertising dollars flow like wine. It’s truly that simple. They employ large staffs to accomplish that one goal. Advertising dollars fund the operation.
So, game on…they play hardball with a hot topic. We think they’re doing it for us. What else would we think after having been drug into their fight on the tube/radio. They aren’t doing it FOR us. They are able to do it BECAUSE of us (using us). In this case, they wanted badly to have more access to “O.” FOX was shunned & shut out at every turn, and we all heard about it…frm FOX of course.
They finally have what they wanted – in this case the interview with “The One.” But, alas, they still need us, the disillusioned and now confused viewing audience. They have to figure out a new and improved way to keep us engaged in their fight to stay on top of the chart, (advertising dollars flowing like wine) and still look like they’re really in this fight for US. We are nothing more than the vehicle they must use to get them where they want to be.
I like the analogy of a yo yo. Media (and their talent) play us like someone would play with a yo yo. And, we’re the yo yo, hanging on to by a thread (string). They reel us in, then let us go but never completely. We’re always still attached by the string.
Now they’ll change their “angle” and thus their approach to him/Washington and us, their viewership. This is what the media does. They figure out the “angle” first, then go after the story to retro fit the angle. That’s the game.
It’s nothing about Beck personally, he seems like a great guy – a good moral person. But, he is a player in the game. And if he wants to stay in the game, well….
That’s why I say FOX is controlled opposition. It beats a blank, as they say.
I was impressed with Palin during the campaign, and I believe she was stifulled by McCain’s handlers. She will whip impress more voters as time goes on. The question is, who would make a good running mate for her…..I know it’s way too early but we all know she is running.
I’m waiting on my SP book to arrive in the mail. I hope it’s a grand expose.
Speaking of Sarah Palin, I saw a commercial on the tube last night with Levi Johnson as the talent – I use that word loosely. He was hawking Pistachio nuts. I was livid. If anyone sees it, please make note of the company name. We need to launch a campaign against them.
The line was something to the effect of “this time he does it with protection.” What a sleaze bag. How could you do this to your own child? I’m not worried about Sarah…she can handle herself, but the child…unbelievable.

Right on with your analysis of Beck and Fox News. We have been played, AGAIN! We were foolish to think we had someone in our corner IMHO.
I, for one, have been skeptical of Beck from the start…wondered why he was the ONLY one ALLOWED to speak. I suspected it was a PLOY, and I guess you just confirmed that.

Thanks for this post. As usual, you are “up” on the latest NEWS.
I haven’t purchased Sarah Palin’s book as yet. Was planning to do it, but have been busy with other concerns here, there, and everywhere.
Don’t know where I read it [sorry], but I read that this book is about the PAST. Only 13 some odd pages are dedicated to GOING FORWARD.
Sooo…at this point, I am more interested in the NEXT book than I am in this one.
BTW…I believe Sarah Palin will be around for a long time to come. Her candid approach to the problems facing our country and her analysis of pp’s preposterous policies is much needed and worthy of our attention. We are sorely in need of a someone who speaks for us.
Whether or not she will run for POTUS in 2012 is anyone’s guess. Although I truly would like to see her run for office [either for the Senate or the Presidency], I tend to think she still has much HOMEWORK to do. Time is on her side, though, and she is a QUICK STUDY.

I just want to clarify something. It makes no difference if it’s Beck or someone else. It’s about HOW the game is played. If we are aware of how it’s played then we are more empowered to think for ourselves, not depending on one network or one media talent to “give” us the news. We must seek it out.
As Venice says, there’s always a kernel of “truth” – what ever that is – in there somewhere.
So, again, I don’t want to come across as bashing Beck. He seems like a good, moral person and I think he’s done some great things. But…he is limited in what he can do.
We have to seek out news and views from other sources. That’s why this site and others linked to CW are so valuable to us.

I have another viewing angle regarding Palin. I personally believe that she should not think in terms of 2012, Rather in terms of 2016,and in the interim prepare herself by running for a Senate Seat instead. I say this because she does need a little more experience in government. Granted running a state like Alaska is probably a little like holding a “tiger by the tail”. I believe that she needs a little political “maturity” if you will. I believe that given her very spirited approach to politics she will be a shoo in no matter what her level of experience is. I would feel really bad if she was elected then found to be incapable of administering the office. That would end any chance of a political career for her in the Federal government. A four year wait isn’t really that much,and at the same time her exterior case can be hardened to endure the rigors of holding a Federal Office. I too would like to see her become a successful candidate the first time around. I simply say that I think she should consider running for VP again, with somebody like Newt Gingrich for President. I personally believe that Newt would win a landslide victory,and if Palin was with him she would have her entire political career set in stone, simply because of her win with Newt. Right now she has 50% of the necessary attributes. She still needs to acquire the rest, and polish them well. She would win by a landslide.Thompson is a background choice. I also believe that Joe Wilson might be worth thinking about. He needs a lot of watching, and studying. Alan Keyes would also bear watching. He still has an lot of unknown values about him.
I believe that Palin could whip Hillary’s butt any day of the week, just on popularity by itself.
I don’t now,and never have looked upon Hillary Clinton as a really viable candidate for POTUS. She is too much of a SNEAK, and a lot of people know it. We have a SNEAK in office at the moment. We surely don’t need another.
The Clintons are horrible. Ii consider them both traitors.
