Several days ago I contacted NC Senator Richard Burr’s office via email and telephone message. I received no response. I was inquiring about a health care forum that was scheduled for today, Tuesday, September 1, 2009. I discovered today by an internet search, that Senator Burr is part of a forum with John McCain and other Republicans. What concerns me is that they are fielding questions from “invited parties.” Senator Burr is against the Obama backed public option and that is good. However, why is Senator Burr not hosting town hall meetings for the public?

With these goals in mind, Senator Burr recently joined with Senator Tom Coburn and Representatives Paul Ryan and Devin Nunes to introduce the Patients’ Choice Act, a bill that delivers on the shared principles of promoting universal access to quality, affordable health care, and does so without adding billions of dollars in new debt or taxes.
The Patients’ Choice Act would transform our health care system through the following key reforms:
Puts affordable coverage and choice within reach of all Americans. This is accomplished by first ending the discrimination in the tax code that rewards corporations and employers yet offers no benefit to the unemployed or those who do not have access to coverage through their job. Specifically, the Patients’ Choice Act would shift health care tax benefits to individuals and families, regardless of employment status, in the form of a tax credit worth about $2,200 for individuals and $5,700 for families. Americans would receive this benefit upfront, so they would not have to wait until they file their tax returns to get it. And Americans would be eligible for this benefit regardless of how much they pay in taxes. What’s more, under this plan, if you like the health care you have, you can keep it – but you’ll have more money in your pocket because you will still receive the tax credit.
Prevents cherry picking by guaranteeing access to coverage. The Patients’ Choice Act prevents cherry picking – when insurance companies choose to cover only healthy patients – by adjusting risk across insurance companies through an innovative reform called State Based Health Exchanges, which would be a voluntary, one-stop marketplace of insurance plans. These state exchanges — which would be open to all Americans — would offer a broad range of plans but all would be required to have the same standard benefits as those enjoyed by Members of Congress. Through this innovative reform, no individual could be turned down based on their age or health. This is because insurers who do cherry pick healthy patients would be penalized, and those that cover patients with pre-existing conditions and emphasize prevention and wellness would be rewarded.
Strengthens the health care safety net. Currently, about 40 percent of doctors and hospitals do not accept Medicaid patients because payments are so low. This means that needy moms and kids may have health coverage, but poor access to health care. The Patients’ Choice Act would remove the stigma from Medicaid recipients by giving them the ability to purchase the health coverage and care they need from any provider. We also provide simple new opportunities for automatic enrollment to help people who need coverage.
The United States currently spends twice as much on health care per person than other industrialized nations, yet we are not twice as healthy. The solution is not for the federal government to spend and tax Americans more, the answer is to get more value for our health care dollar through more choices. And this is exactly what the Patients’ Choice Act would accomplish.
Senator Burr understands the growing cost of health insurance, and as a Member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, he will continue to work on solutions to this problem.”

Just a thought on the Big Picture:
Perhaps we should give up on the birth/citizenship issue. There are too many “reputable” people and institutions that are dead set against dealing with that. I think the bigger issue that EVERYBODY can sink their teeth into is blackmail.
We must force Zero to open his records. As long as they are closed and as long as he is overly protective of them – even if he IS the Messiah, even if he IS the Magic Negro, even if he IS the Anti Bush – he is an enormous security problem. We need to turn the discussion away from “Barack is evil” and toward the concept that even if he is righteous and well-intentioned, the current situation makes unacceptable peril for him and the country.
Let’s write to congress people, news people, etc. and get them to understand this issue and simply demand a full disclosure of records. Let the chips fall where they may.

We do not really know where “he” was born or under what circumstances. But even if you stipulate that the unusual “abstract” of a BC that he has produced is real, you are still left with the following interesting situation.
You may look this up. These are known facts:
1. The most recent available documentation for “him” shows his name as Barry Soetoro and his citizenship as Indonesian.
2. There are no available documents that show a name change to Barack Obama nor a change of citizenship.
The lack of available documents does not necessarily prove anything, but it is more than a passing curiosity. Even if the long-form BC or school records prove “personally embarrassing” in some way and warrant a level of secrecy – it should be a simple non-controversial matter to document one’s official name and citizenship.

If they say they will do a thing in school, I will offer to organize an assembly for students with veterans/soldiers & play s0me Lee Greenwood music. I am SURE they will not help me do so. I need your help. Who should I contact to make aware that this disservice of our military has occured. They have done away with Veterans Day without many noticing.

Why didn’t NP VET Obama prior to the GE and when will the BC come out along with his other records (interesting comment was—- wouldn’t say where he was born— not a word about HI—but instead said that we would all know the facts in about TEN YEARS!)

Looking at all the fascist activity lately the regime some call a “government” is encouraging a real-life, full-bore revolution.
When at first I thought about this I assumed they are doing this by design. But looking back at the last 5 months, I’m leaning heavily toward the fact that they are rapidly losing control over the American People, and they are getting desperate, clinging feverishly to what’s left of their financial, political, and legal stronghold.
That is eroding fast. The jig is up folks. It’s merely a matter of time. Remember how erratic the Soviet government became shortly before the wall fell? Remember Iraq? That’s what we’re seeing here. I’m not 100% certain of anything. This can go either way, but looking at all the angry pissed off Patriots in this country (I’m counting about 70+ million) I have a strong strong feeling the government is definitely feeling threatened. That can be a bad thing in the wrong hands, but rest assured We the People are not afraid because we are empowered by our own will to uphold the Constitution. America is no stranger to conflict.

You are spot on. We are not a sick, impoverished nation who’s been wrought with war and internal strife for generations. We are hard working, wealthy Americans with careers, families, and money. Lots of it. We are very educated and even the dumbest of us know we’re being duped, even when these folks refuse to admit it.
It’s all a matter of time now. The wheels are in motion and we are on a collision course with destiny. The tyrannical government has a choice:

2. Fight and lose
That’s all they have as the cards are stacked against them. They are outwilled, overpowered, outgunned, and outnumbered. We are too free, too intelligent, and too prepared in this country to be bottled up like a bunch of Socialist sardines. I’m seeing massive fronts of peaceful redress against the government in the form of Patriots just aching for an excuse to throw this government out on its keyster for good. That’s a wonderful sign and I’m so proud to be a Patriot now more than ever. Through the worst of times we still fight and will continue to fight on all fronts. Let the pro-usurping Americans stand on their own. I doubt they will. They can’t even make a good decision on a leader that will save them let alone take care of themselves. When the time comes, we will act and the house will fall.
This is not over yet folks. Not by a long shot. Keep informed and stay alert. Make sure you are prepared for the worst, but be assured God is on our side and we will win, with his help. Spread the word that we are winning the revolution, one cycle at a time. Every time they speak, we speak louder. Every time they act, we act larger. When the time comes, snare the traps and let them fall right into it hook line and sinker.
We are witnessing a great event in the history of the world. Let’s focus on doing everything we can as individuals and Patriots to do what’s right and fight for what we believe in.

Polls are known to be manipulated. I only look at trends. It reflects the mood of the nation and therefore the most important info.
I agree. There’s at least a 10-15% fudge factor here in most of the polls.

Nancy, our schools observe Veteran’s Day. We do have one school that keeps the kids in that day. But they do it to have Veterans visit the school all day. The Veterans give speeches, and then the kids put on a show for the Veterans. The whole school was surrounded by small US flags. The flags and the show made me cry last year!

We had the not so great pleasure of being entertained by Micheal Smerconish filling in for Jay Severin for a week or so. He had a question that I thought really showed just how out of touch people in MSM and in DC are.
He asked “why are people so up in arms at these heath care town hall meetings?” He asked that question and then went to ‘report” that the data from web based news sources tell the people did read stories on health care or related stories and went on to site different cities and some of the stories that topped the read and emailed to others list. They were odd stories, not of national interest and some were just plain weird stories.
I typically don’t call into radio shows and I was not able to get in. But for myself, and I am sure of many of you, we do not get our “important news” from news sources of the internet. For instance my day begins with a 1 1/2 hour commute. I listen to Imus and other news outlets like WBZ on my way in. So when i get to he office I know what the news of the day is. So when I launch my browser and Foxnews comes up I don’t click on stories that I have already been informed of during my commute.
So I will click on odd stories of interest and then of course come here and elsewhere to get info on other stories from blogs and commentators.
So Micheal, because your routine is to get up and read the MSM outlets to be “informed” is not how We The People get informed. And the ranting at town hall meetings have less to do with “heath care” as they do with the trampling of our liberties, and Rev. Manning has pointed out, just keep pushin, keep pushin, you just keeeeep pushin.

Trust your children, they are a lot sharper than people are giving them credit. Get a copy of the Constitution and go over sections of it every day. History books are a very good source-so many hero’s throughout our history. I’m sure most libraries have a children’s version of our history and our Founding Fathers, the Constitution etc.
As far as school on Sept 8th … I will take my child out early that day. He usually gets perfect attendance and I don’t want to ruin that, so I will sign him out before “That One” is on the tube. We’ll take our time on the way home and stop for ice cream !

Barack Obama Sneaks Through “Union Only” Order Shutting 8 in 10 Construction Workers Out of Federal Projects
There has not been a lot of coverage of this. It happened back in July and is only now winding its way through the federal system.
Barack Obama and his administration are about to significantly drive up the costs of federal building construction. This is an astonishing reach. The Office of Management and Budget has directed that any federal construction over $25 million benefit unions.
The order would make all federal construction projects 10-20% more expensive by requiring all contractors to either use union workers or apply inefficient union apprenticeship and work rules to their employees. Contractors would also be required to make contributions to union pension funds and other union programs that non-union workers will never benefit from.
This will hugely drive up the cost of construction of federal buildings and line the pockets of unions without even having union workers involved in the projects. The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that only 15.6% of private construction workers in America belong to unions. In other words, 8 out of 10 construction workers in America will be legally denied the right to work on federal building projects.
This is appalling.

Growing up in Massachusetts, I know first-hand about the Kennedy legacy and appreciate what the family means to this state… in good times and bad. Even so, it has been amazing to see ALL the people who have turned out to pay their respects to Senator Kennedy… lining the streets of Boston for the procession… standing in line for hours to walk past his casket. Given the outpouring, it really was quite a shock to see one of the Kennedys flipping someone the bird during the procession for Senator Kennedy in Boston on Thursday.
Our photographer just happened to be focused on the limo carrying the young Kennedy woman right when she made the obscene gesture near Fanueil Hall. The woman in question appears to be 21 year old Rose Schlossberg, the daughter of Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg and Edwin Schlossberg and granddaughter of former president John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
Our photographer was not close enough to know what happened to prompt Rose to do this, but it looks like she was responding to someone in the crowd. Who knows what rude comment she might have heard? In the video you can see someone nudge her right after it happens. Funerals are stressful for every family. When you live under the glare of the spotlight like the Kennedys, perhaps this funeral is even more stressful. But what was JFK’s granddaughter thinking? Cameras are always rolling when the Kennedys are around, especially when there’s a procession for Great Uncle Ted and tens of thousands of people turn out. What do you think? Inappropriate gesture on a solemn day or no big deal?

I don’t hold out much hope for any sort of relief in any Federal Court. Because of the level of corruption that now exists in our country’s Federal Courts it is very unlikely that any action against Soetoro will ever be heard, no matter how many lawyers participate, or which Federal court the suit is filed in. It will be thrown out or dismissed. What this all means is that we have already lost our Federal court system in it’s entirety. The recently discussed DC Superior Court will not have any jurisdiction over Federal property in DC. There is no possible way to bring legal action against Soetoro until sombody comes up with absolute proof of his ineligibility. Once it is certain, and documented beyond question, the only entity left is the JOINT CHIEFS. They must be compelled to examine the documents. They cannot then say that they havn’t seen any documents. It would seem that they would have a vested interest in taking a look. He is their civilian boss, but that is where it ends. By oath each joint chief has an obligation to protect the United states from all enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC. They must hear,and see the evidence of wrongdoing by their CIC. If they are convinced they CAN ACT to remove him as CIC.

IMHO, it is appalling when the court orders what a parent can do to educate his/her children. There is no question this girl is getting a “first-rate education.” Then, what’s the problem? Socialization? Kids get more “socialization” from Internet conversations with their friends than they do in school, IMHO! Also, home schooled children have more opportunities for socialization through activities outside of school than public school children have and more time to engage in them as well.

A citizen that violates their probation may go to jail again while an illegal that is here stealing after ordered Deported continues here for at least another TWO years? DEPORT HER NOW, no more hearings. There is only ONE LAW, equal justice to all.

Greg is stationed at Ft. Bragg and received permission from his commanding officer to come speak at our function. Everything was on go until Obama made a policy that NO U.S. SERVICEMAN CAN SPEAK AT ANY FAITH-BASED PUBLIC EVENTS ANYMORE. Needless to say, Greg had to cancel his speaking event with us. Didn’t know if anyone else was aware of this new policy. Wonder what kind of news we all will receive next?

Some statistics: 2 billion dollar a year “industry” and the odds of having miscarriages multiply enormously after abortion (s). One of the major reasons I hate abortion-I am Roman Catholic, that is just one reason. In a span of 3-5 years in Chicago we had a number of crib deaths among family and friends. I counted 11 babies.I cannot tell you how terrible that is. Heart broken parents crying their eyes out for all these little babies all under the age of one. Dale Evans wrote a very good book about this” Angels Unaware”. She and Roy Rogers lost their baby too. How many of my mother’s friends were crying in our kitchen over these much loved babies and sometimes miscarriages. I lost count.
Others could not have children, so they adopted, I wish the mothers could see where their babies landed, in affluent homes, with so much pent up love the new parents floated with happiness the first few months. If you know any young girl who is pregnant a joyful option is adoption, keeping the baby in the family to me is best. If you are from a big family you always know there is room for one more, you just shift a little bit.

In reading your comment I find myself having the same feelings,………but I stop, and remember that the military joint chiefs did not render the decision that was ultimately made against Cook. This decision was made by an OBAMA AID, and sent to the DOD at an echelon far below the joint chiefs. I seriously doubt if they have ever heard of Major Cook. You can also open any link on a new window, leaving CW up, by using same technique SHIFT CLICK or Right Clicking and choosing Open in New Window. Also in right click you can Copy Shortcut to Save or Post elsewhere.
Also when replying to a post if everyone just at least highlighted the first line of original post that you are replying too and possibly first or pertinant fews lines or paragraph…and Paste on top of your reply first with ============ for separeation and then enter your reply kinda like some of us already do it will make things easier.

Hello All,
I praise you and your staff for assisting me with Disability problems years ago. I have one more question. With law as it is, North Carolina as well as other State citizens are being left in chronic pain due to the DEAs’ involvement in the Medical field. The Doctors go to school to do their job and the DEA should be involved minimally. MAYBE a case by case basis. Most Doctors are afraid to help us as AMERICANS that have been injured or have Pain for life.
Is there anywhere we can turn for relief. I know why people kill themselves after the 15 days I have spent in bed because my leg and hip are in SEVER PAIN. My comment is also here.
If anyone knows where to sign a petition to keep the DEA out of the Medical field. Please forward.
