Here is another reason to carefully weigh any decision to take the H1N1, swine flu, vaccination.

“Swine flu jab link to killer nerve disease: Leaked letter reveals concern of neurologists over 25 deaths in America”
“A warning that the new swine flu jab is linked to a deadly nerve disease has been sent by the Government to senior neurologists in a confidential letter.
The letter from the Health Protection Agency, the official body that oversees public health, has been leaked to The Mail on Sunday, leading to demands to know why the information has not been given to the public before the vaccination of millions of people, including children, begins.
It tells the neurologists that they must be alert for an increase in a brain disorder called Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), which could be triggered by the vaccine.
GBS attacks the lining of the nerves, causing paralysis and inability to breathe, and can be fatal.
The letter, sent to about 600 neurologists on July 29, is the first sign that there is concern at the highest levels that the vaccine itself could cause serious complications.
It refers to the use of a similar swine flu vaccine in the United States in 1976 when:
- More people died from the vaccination than from swine flu.
- 500 cases of GBS were detected.
- The vaccine may have increased the risk of contracting GBS by eight times.
- The vaccine was withdrawn after just ten weeks when the link with GBS became clear.
- The US Government was forced to pay out millions of dollars to those affected.
Concerns have already been raised that the new vaccine has not been sufficiently tested and that the effects, especially on children, are unknown.”
“The British Neurological Surveillance Unit (BNSU), part of the British Association of Neurologists, has been asked to monitor closely any cases of GBS as the vaccine is rolled out.
One senior neurologist said last night: ‘I would not have the swine flu jab because of the GBS risk.’
There are concerns that there could be a repeat of what became known as the ‘1976 debacle’ in the US, where a swine flu vaccine killed 25 people – more than the virus itself.”
“The swine flu virus in the new vaccine is a slightly different strain from the 1976 virus, but the possibility of an increased incidence of GBS remains a concern.
Shadow health spokesman Mike Penning said last night: ‘The last thing we want is secret letters handed around experts within the NHS. We need a vaccine but we also need to know about potential risks.
‘Our job is to make sure that the public knows what’s going on. Why
is the Government not being open about this? It’s also very worrying if GPs, who will be administering the vaccine, aren’t being warned.’
Two letters were posted together to neurologists advising them of the concerns. The first, dated July 29, was written by Professor Elizabeth Miller, head of the HPA’s Immunisation Department.
It says: ‘The vaccines used to combat an expected swine influenza pandemic in 1976 were shown to be associated with GBS and were withdrawn from use.
‘GBS has been identified as a condition needing enhanced surveillance when the swine flu vaccines are rolled out.”
“GBS attacks the lining of the nerves, leaving them unable to transmit signals to muscles effectively.
It can cause partial paralysis and mostly affects the hands and feet. In serious cases, patients need to be kept on a ventilator, but it can be fatal.
Death is caused by paralysis of the respiratory system, causing the victim to suffocate.
It is not known exactly what causes GBS and research on the subject has been inconclusive.”

Thank you CW for posting SueK’s notice. GBS is nothing to play around with. Someone I know got it and almost died. She was out of work for about a year. She was in intensive care quite a while and had to have her blood exchanged in order to clean it and was left very nearly paralyzed until she slowly got better with rehabilitation…but it took a long time.

I agree with DHM Litzman, as H1N! actually *likes* the warm weather, unlike seasonal flu. Remember when it hit the U.S.-just when the weather in many areas was getting warmer. Unless there’s a mutation, the coming winter season will see a rise in seasonal flu and a decline in H1N1.
Also, by the time a vaccine is *thoroughly* tested and approved (unlikely), the virus may have already mutated to another form, rendering this vaccine useless.
Please keep in mind that Europe is getting the Baxter vaccine (too many mistakes) and the U.S. will be getting the Novartis version (perhaps with the squalene).

Yes, no responsibility for what happens to people with the vaccine because it’s unproven, not enough time to go through the proper clinical trials, and will be totoally useless with either a mutation of the current form, or the combination with another virus.

I’ve been wondering why the insurance companies haven’t been more active/vocal against this current health care reform being hawked by Obama. Knowing they are some of the biggest & most powerful lobbyists in D.C., their silence just didn’t make sense to me.
Well, Webster Tarpley lays out an interesting and plausible theory. Obama is simply paying lip service to his current single payer plan. Tarpley says he is planning on dumping his current public plan in favor of a plan like the one instituted in Massachusetts.
We will ALL be FORCED to buy a plan from private insurance companies. This will be the insurance company’s bailout – courtesy of the American taxpayers – as these companies will very soon be bankrupt due to derivatives speculation! He mentions watching, AIG, Met Life, and Hartford.
As Glenn Beck and others say, “don’t listen to what he says, watch what he does.”
Should be interesting to see how this shakes out in the next few weeks.

Hi Margie,
If that’s the way they intend to do it, each patient should be given a consent form or waiver stating that they are taking a vaccine whose results/side effects are unknown.
Anything other than this amounts to medical malpractice.
If this vaccine is going to be mandatory for returning students, I smell a huge problem in the offing.
I think that the diffuser to this whole situation would be to see H1N1 fall flat on its face in a few weeks. Praying for that!

Right, Maddie…we saw a bust in the late 1970s with another version of ‘swine flu’, and we could see another with this one. Lotsa hype, no dice-the ideal situation. I’m hoping that people won’t fall for this vaccine, but many will because of the scare tactics and vaccination campaigns being planned right now.
A few years ago, we worked our butts off developing plans for avian flu and that never materialized (except in Indonesia). The same could happen here. I’m thinking that if this thing takes off, that’ll be pretty much proof positive that it’s being mechanically dispersed and not spreading under its own steam.
Watching the situation carefully.

A close friend of mine had GBS. The biggest danger of this is that if not diagnosed IMMEDIATELY you can DIE. Most doctors would not recognise the symptoms. My friend was lucky in that he knew something VERY serious was wrong ( he had the end of life conversation with his wife on their way to the hospital) and spent the extra time to go to a major hospital instead of our local hospital. Had he gone to our local hospital he would be dead. At the major city hospital they ran across this often enough that they recognised it right away and put him on a ventilator in intensive care RIGHT AWAY, no time to waste. He became totally paralyzed, unable to breathe without the ventilator. He did slowly recover and did need therapy to walk again. He is fine today. VERY SCARY. I was aware of the flu snafu in 1976, but this was the first I heard it was GBS that killed so many people. Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), google it and BE INFORMED, no flu shot for me.

In Britain, about 130 people are reported to have died from it and according to David Icke’s website davidicke.com/swineflu children who were dying from meningitis were recorded as having died from swine flu. They were misdiagnosed by uneducated people in call centres set up by the British Government (before the outbreak) some of those diagnosing were as young as 16 years old.
In a normal year in Britain, 7,000 to 8,000 people die from normal flu, so this is NOT a pandemic.
In France, formal charges have been made asserting that the Swine Flu vaccine campaign is a deliberate attempt to poison the French population. In Austria formal charges have been lodged with the FBI saying the same.
