“CBS 3 has learned a Philadelphia Police officer is under investigation after attempting to perform a background check on the President of the United States.
Police said an officer with the 18th District did a search on President Barack Obama from his patrol car computer, which is normally used to provide instant background information on suspects.
The search was immediately flagged and an investigation was launched. Officials said no personal information of the President was released.
The officer currently remains on duty, but could face disciplinary action pending the outcome of the investigation.”

Was Beck still on CNN at the time? O”Reilly has been belligerent – at least on air – in his dismissal of the issue. (I am amazed his head fits into his studio for broadcast.) I do not think this came from any of the various NBC channels.
I only became aware of Canada Free Press after the election – a good thing. Had it been around for a while? I am wondering why this famous talk show host would go there to get his story told anonymously – I suppose is that it would actually be reported?

From what I’m gathering, they have a document that’s signed by this major talk show host, that say he was threatened to ‘not bring this up’ under any circumstances.
Sounds like all media outlets were threatened by someone or several very high up in the political spectrum; If they discuss this issue on air, it could result in the networks being shut down.
This is BIGGER than Watergate people; a huge cover up, that involved threats to peoples careers and lives.

I think it’s big too, and to me, it’s extremely serious. Just how much were a few people threatened, meaning did they threaten to hurt their families? Something needs to be done about this for sure.

My understanding is he was born british and his mother did not meet the age req. to pass US citizenship to him (if born out of the coountry). He would had to get naturalized as he entered the US. Also, lost it when he became an Indonesian Citizen. If he never again filed to be a naturalized US citizen, then he is an illegal alien.

The mention of “the Law of Nations” in the Constitution….
First, don’t jump your guns on this one. JeffM that’s a very useful interpretation, but before you claim its true you must understand that interlational law theory has used the term “the law of nations” for more than 4 centuries. The concept originated with the Jesuits, I am told. Nevertheless, you’d have to have historical sources in which that part of the constitutionn is explained, and this phrase “the Law of Nations” is identified as refering to Vattel’s book.
Are there any such historical sources which have this interpretation….?
That’s how you go about proving the interpretation you put forth on the Constitution, you don’t just have an interpretation that helps…you have one that his historically verified….

I disagree-it is out, it is as out as will ever be. Don’t forget there are enterprising journalists from all over the world looking at this issue. Maybe reporters in the US can’t cover it, but the rest of the world can and will. Our allies have a vested interest in this, as much or more as we do. Lincoln was correct a house divided cannot stand. We cannot have a corrupt/incompetent government, that is trying to pass itself off as honest and pure. The government divided itself.

Barack Obama’s “squeaky clean” reputation is once again being tarnished by shady entrepreneurs who have supported him financially, this time a convicted Iraqi billionaire who funneled millions to the Illinois senator in 2005.
A British newspaper has published a lengthy story on the scandal, which connects the Democratic presidential candidate and his indicted longtime Syrian financial supporter (currently on trial for corruption) with one of Britain’s richest people, a criminal Iraqi guru named Nadhmi Auchi.
It turns out that Auchi, convicted in Europe for operating a massive kickback scheme, gave Obama $3.5 million just weeks before the senator purchased a pricey mansion in an exclusive Chicago neighborhood. Auchi funneled the money to Obama through the senator’s friend and campaign bankroller, Antoin Rezko, the Syrian businessman charged with influence peddling, extortion and conspiracy.
A loyal Obama supporter for years, Rezko is on trial for plotting to squeeze millions of dollars in kickbacks out of firms seeking state business. He had been free on bail since being indicted last year, but was subsequently arrested and ordered to remain in jail after receiving a multi million-dollar wire from Beirut that led authorities to think he planned to flee to the Middle East.
It was Rezko who introduced Obama to Auchi, convicted in France in 2003 for operating what has been described as the biggest political and corporate scandal in post-war Europe. The legal problems didn’t deter Obma from taking Auchi’s money nor have they affected his empire. Auchi is reportedly among Britain’s wealthiest men and one of the richest people in the world, according to Forbes Magazine.

This is not as bad as you make it seem. While I am furious over this health care stuff that Obama wants to push on us, the elderly need care for end of life issues, not less care. As a daughter taking care of my mother with Alzheimer’s and a father in his 80’s as well, I can tell you from experience, these issues bankrupt families. The elderly need more Medicare. It doesn’t pay enough. God forbid if anyone gets Alzheimer’s on this site. More help for the elderly is a good thing, but do I want expanded health care for illegals and people who are drug dealers, absolutely not!

To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States
We can now put 2 and 2 together and summarize this:
1. Congress can only pass legislature regarding naturalization, not Natural Born Citizenship, as it’s clear that natural born is a birthright.
2. Congress can’t create a law, resolution, or bill that allows amnesty for someone who was not a Natural Born Citizen when that requirement was not met beforehand.
That right, the resolution “passed” by CONgrass stating Soetoro is an NBC 7 months after usurpation is Unconstitutional, i.e. illegal. It’s clear this tyrannical government is usurping power, even when they’re too ignorant to notice it.

As a young man, just coming of voting age, I was exposed to the idea of “investigative reporting” mainly because of Watergate. I never thought about the politics behind this, that is, I just assumed that that it was always this way, that journalists would work hard to root out cover-ups and other such nefarious activities by government officials. But was this simply reflective of another reality which I was not aware of for a long time? That is, was investigative reporting, which I took for granted, really simply a feeding frenzy by a liberal mainstream media against a Republican president that was in trouble? Is this the only way that “investigative reporting” really happens, that is, when Republicans in high office get into trouble?
I think this must be what is going on. Because it seems to me that the mainstream media has had plenty of opportunities to follow-up and run down leads on President Obama, but almost nothing has happened. The investigations have come from outside the so-called mainstream media, so they can sit on their hands and claim such charges and investigations of Obama are simply the “lunatic fringe” led by unstable characters who are obviously biased and maybe even racist.
Has it always been this way, or has the liberal mainstream media gotten even more protective of the president because it is Obama, an historical president because of his race and background? Is this is what is going on? I’d appreciate some cogent discussion of this.

Yes, Law of Nations is capitalized, meaning our framers were citing a proper name. There was only one Law of Nations in 1787 officially declared. The answer is YES! It is their duty to act as this is an international issue, one which is clearly defined in the U.S. Constitution re. Law of Nations. After all Soetoro himself claimed he was a “citizen of the World” and this citizenship dilemma involves at least 2 more nations.
They must follow the Law of Nations because it was the framework for all anti-British legal discussions in the Colonies before and after the American Revolution for over 130 years. From textbooks to court documentation, de Vattel was THE AUTHORITY of the time with regards to citizenship, leadership, and foreign relations. Ironically, Congress never proposed an Amendment to the Constitution to redefine this requirement to comply with more modern international law, so we are essentially joined at the hips with this 1700’s legislation until new statutes are ratified.

About nine months ago I posted on this blog that Bill Clinton during a public appearance acknowledged himself that that an amendment to the Constitution was necessary to allow someone not born in the U.S. to become eligible for presidency. It was clear and unequivocal.
He was implying that the U.S. essentially had to adjust to the exigencies of a new world (order).

When alleging election fraud to the state AG in a state whose law requires the candidate for POTUS from the major political party to be a NBC; do not allege he is not a NBC. The fraud is not that NP and the DNC Certified BO is a NBC but he isn’t. The fraud is this. In order to get BO’s name printed onto the ballot in those states with those laws, by submitting its Certification of Nomination to elections officials NP (and the DNC) implicitly Certified, he is also a NBC, in compliance with these state laws! Plus, since the DNC rules require the nominee to be a NBC then, just making him their nominee implicitly means, he is a NBC. No state laws require elections officials to check. But citizens have contacted both NP and the DNC, asking what documentation served as the basis for their determination. And, so far, they have ignored all such requests. In other words, it would appear that NP and the DNC “Certified” BO is a NBC but failed to ascertain in advance whether he was.

CNN, unless KY has a law that says something like, ‘The candidate for POTUS from the major political party must be Constitutionally eligible for the job’ (in order to have his name printed on the state’s general election ballot) then, the parties can put forward the name of anyone they want. No election fraud. But TX says, the party candidate must be eligible; so do GA and HI. In those states, Certifying someone is eligible before ascertaining such eligibility, is fraud. I made an inquiry to Secretary of State Karen Handel of Georgia prior to last November’s election regarding Obama’s eligibility to be placed on the ballot. She emailed me back and told me that it was not her job to vett the candidate and that I needed to address my concerns to the DNC. So much for Ga. Sounds a bit like fraud to me.
NP, what the SoS of GA said is absolutely true. But just because GA law says the candidate must be a NBC (it uses the word ‘qualified’ or ‘eligible’ or something like that) but doesn’t say any state official has to check; this does not mean, the party doesn’t have to obey state law requiring the candidate to be a NBC. (GA is also a binding vote state, which is another plus… I cannot re-print everything on my blog, here. Please, read the last 2 (two) postings on my blog. Vattel’s work is a work of political philosophy which regards the notion of ‘the laws of nations’ and so his work is entitled with this name.
The refrence in the constitution is to the concept, not the title of his book…

Thus the phrase in the Constitution means that the Congress is empower to pass such laws as would uphold justice among nations, that is, laws regarding domestic and foreign affairs…thus it has power to ratify treaties, declare and end wars, approve trade agreements…etc..

I agree, I believe that tax payers have every right to conduct a background check on any Public Official that is paid by the tax payer, Transparency is what the President is pitching, and if New Jersey Tax payers had the ability to background Check The mayors who were arrested last week when they ran for office maybe the corruption would have been avoided. The right to scrutinize our public servants is guaranteed in the constitution. I do not think it is wrong at all and these officers should make their findings public. A background check can be run through a private company like Integrascan by anyone. And the private background check companies have better information than the NCIC with 300 times the records in their Criminal Background Check database. The NCIC has around 1.5 million records as opposed to private databases that have over 670 million records in place.
Again we should have a right to know if our public officials have a criminal Record.

John-I like the big rigs the best, cars would be too easy to tow, I understand Washington, DC is small in area so it would not be too hard to surround, trucks parked end to end and with flat tires you could not move those suckers if you wanted to. I have heard the blue collar guys ranting and raving over the years, they have always cared about our country (veterans etc.) and they have always gotten the short end of the stick. I love those commercials where they have they firemen, or policemen at the meeting and they get everything sewed up in 5 minutes. Does the man say at the end- Whats so difficult about that? something like that. We need clear, concise language not government double talk. The government is trying to balance the books on the elderly-your parents, grandparents, great grandparents. Obama/Congress who the hell built the hospitals with their taxes over the years? that you are denying these people coverage. This has got to be one of the biggest civil rights abuses I ever saw. We all have to speak up for elder abuse it is not only wrong it is morally wrong. To balance the books, I would make it my business to RICO all the people like Bernie Madoff, seize all their ill-gotten booty and put that money back where it belongs in the Federal Treasury. How can you do that? Forensic Accountants, all transactions leave a trail, usually electronic. A lot of our good people have been doing this for years, tracking illegal drug transactions etc. It would take about a year, but these guys are so good they would find it all. Punish the guilty, not the innocent.

I agree, I believe that tax payers have every right to conduct a background check on any Public Official that is paid by the tax payer, Transparency is what the President is pitching, and if New Jersey Tax payers had the ability to background Check The mayors who were arrested last week when they ran for office maybe the corruption would have been avoided. The right to scrutinize our public servants is guaranteed in the constitution. I do not think it is wrong at all and these officers should make their findings public. A background check can be run through a private company like Integrascan by anyone. And the private background check companies have better information than the NCIC with 300 times the records in their Criminal Background Check database. The NCIC has around 1.5 million records as opposed to private databases that have over 670 million records in place.
Again we should have a right to know if our public officials have a criminal Record.

Re: rank and file v/s union bosses. I worked for a company in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Our people in the warehouse were union, we in the office were not, but we received the same benefits. This is weird but this is how it came down, strikes would happen. The corporate people would fight with the top union guys and somehow strike would be settled. No one from either group talked to the rank and file about anything ever. It was as if they just took dues, see you buy. Why it worked that way I don’t know. I don’t think there is a lot of love lost between rank and file and top union bosses. I think basically they don’t trust them much.

Organizing the truckers would be EASY most of them are independents even the Union drivers mostly hate the Union they join to get better pay.
There are two factors that can make it easier to organize:

My interpretation of the reason why communism was more appealing than capitalism is due to the fact that communism was advertised to be a solution for addressing inequalities. Communism would divide up wealth and other assets so those who were poor would now feel as adequate as those who had wealth in the past.

One could quote Blackwood, but unfortunately there are several issues using his works:
1. There was conflict with Blackwood for colonial legislators, judges, and scholars with as it was essentially British law, something the framers sought to get away from
2. Blackwood defined the Law of Nature
But don’t take my word for it. Simply do some research and come up with a better fit to the Constitution and see what it says about “Natural Born” citizenship.
Remember, the position of President touches international law often, and so does citizenship.

The French word “Droit” is exactly translated by the English word “Right.”
The Latin for “Droit des Gens” is “Ius Gentium” as is as old as the Roman Republic.
None of this really matters, because both Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson owned Vattel’s volumes in their original French, and NOT the English translation.
Your idea is interesting — but the Law of Nations has been around for 1000s of years.
Vattel’s work is heavily dependent on the work by Christian Wolff called (in Latin), “Jus naturae et jus gentium” or “The Right of Nature, and The Law of Nations” (1740-1749). Wolff’s book was translated into French by Emmerich de Vattel (Completed, 1762). Emmerich de Vattel died in 1767.

We can go around in circles on the translation. The bottom line is when de Vattel’s work was translated into English, the title was Law of Nations and that is what it’s been known as for over 200 years in English translated form.
I agree that the “law(s) of nations” has been around for 1000’s of years, dating back to the Roman Empire where it originated from. The concepts, however, are the same. The overall theme is the same, and thus it directly influences the power of Congress and the Constitution. If the “Law of Nations” says that citizen fathers pass down the citizenship to their children. It was and still is the primary understanding of pure citizenship, including countries like Indonesia, India, Great Britain, and most importantly, the United States. That’s the overall concept here, and that is what Congress has the power and duty to enforce per Article 1, Section 8.
And, as far as I can tell, the only clear definition in the Law of Nations for Natural Born Citizenship is in de Vattel’s Law of Nations. Historically, that’s what it meant and and that is what it means today. Until the Constitution is ratified to change this definition, we will continue to require it as a nation.
If the opposing side wants to compromise the military allegiance factor of this requirement, so be it. But they better do it the right way and that’s through an Amendment. But alas, that takes too much time, and that’s why they continue to urinate and defecate all over the Constitution because it’s fast and easy as our bumbling excuse for an executive branch continues to fail to indict usurpers, thugs, and pirates in the government.

But, be that as it may — there was a very good discussion of all of this that was written for President Lincoln by Attorney General Edward Bates, in which he writes:
“We have ‘natural-born CITIZENS,’ not made by Law or otherwise, but born. And this class is a large majority; in fact, the mass of our CITIZENS; for all others are exceptions specifically provided for by Law … and in this connection the Constitution says not one word, and furnishes not one hint, in relation to the color or to the ancestral race of the ‘natural-born CITIZEN.’
Bates continued: “The Constitution itself does not make the CITIZENS (it is, in fact, made by them). It only intends and recognizes such of them as are natural — home-born — and provides for the naturalization of such of them as were alien — foreign-born — making the latter, as far as nature will allow, like the former.”
The whole thing can be found in Google Books by looking up Attorney General Edward Bates, Citizenship, Washington, Government Printing Office, 1863, because that is where I got these quotes from, an opinion written at the direct request of President Lincoln.

If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.
When this was written we voted for President and Vice President separately. Because we now vote for one ticket I believe Biden gets tossed with Zero because Biden did not receive and votes from the electoral college with only his name attached. That would place Peloucy in line however she is complicit in all this and gets arrested herself. Harry Ried will go down as well. I believe the next person in line is Gates to act as President.
Now if I read this correctly this acting President is in that role “until a President shall qualify”. So that would revert us back to the electoral college and the next highest vote getter…McCain Palin become Prez and VP. In “The Law of Nations,” in the Book called CITIZENS AND NATIONS, in the Section numbered § 212, de Vattel wrote: “The natives or natural-born CITIZENS (‘les [citoyens] naturels (jus sanguinis) ou indigenes (jus solis)’), are those born in the country, of parents who are CITIZENS (qui sont nes dans le pays (jus solis) de parents citoyens” (jus sanguinis)).” Simplified: “Born on American soil; of two parents American.”
Next he wrote: “As the society can not exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the CITIZENS (indigenae, or ‘domestic-born’), those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights (‘tous leurs droits’).” [Note: droits here are “rights,” but in the book title above, Le Droit is “The Law . . .”]
He also wrote: “The society is supposed to desire this, in consequence of what it owes to its own preservation; and it is presumed, as a matter of course, that each CITIZEN, on entering into society, reserves to his children the right of becoming members of it. The country of the fathers is therefore that of the children (‘La patrie des peres est donc celle des enfants’), and these become true CITIZENS (‘veritables citoyens’) merely by their tacit consent (‘simple consentement tacite’).”
‘Tacit consent’ means ‘silent consent — without any words.’
But, children are free agents, and free to leave: “We shall soon see whether, on their coming to the years of discretion (‘l’age de raison’), they may renounce their right, and what they owe to the society in which they were born. I say, that, in order to be of the country (jus solis), it is necessary that a person be born of a father (jus sanguinis) who is a CITIZEN; for, if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country.”
A few pages later, in the section numbered § 215, de Vattel wrote: “It is asked whether the children born of CITIZENS in a foreign country (alienigenae, or ‘foreign-born’) are CITIZENS? The Laws have decided this question in several countries, and their regulations must be followed.” In the U.S. Congress decided the question: ‘Yes,’ or ‘No.’ For over 50 years, it was ‘No:’ — but now, for over 150 years, it has been ‘Yes.’
De Vattel had his own opinion, and so he offered it: “By the law of nature (jus naturae) alone (better here: the right of nature), children follow the condition of their fathers, and enter into all their rights (above § 212); the place of birth produces no change in this particular, and cannot, of itself, furnish any reason for taking from a child what nature has given him; I say ‘of itself,’ for, civil (jus civile) or political laws (jus gentium) may, for particular reasons, ordain otherwise.”
In specific terms, this right of nature (jus naturae) is what our Founding Fathers wrote into the Constitution, meaning that by common law (jus commune) a ‘natural-born CITIZEN’ is one born ‘of American parents (jus sanguinis) on American soil (jus solis).’
Therefore, “no Person except a natural born Citizen . . . shall be eligible to the Office of President” (Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5): animus hominis est, anima scripti — “The intent of the parties is the soul of the document.”
All others were CITIZENS by Law (jus civile). In Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4, the Founding Fathers gave Congress the sole power “to establish an Uniform Rule of Naturalization:” the ‘Act of March 26, 1790’ (1 Stat.103) was its first attempt at it.
This power of Congress is understood to include making CITIZENS collectively, or en masse (jus gentium). What was solved by “The Northwest Ordinance” (adopted under the Articles of Confederation) was subsequently included in the U.S. Constitution, and was used for purchases, acquisitions, and possessions like Louisiana, Florida, California, Texas, Alaska, and Hawaii. In fact, with only a few adjustments, “The Northwest Ordinance” was the policy that guided the admission of all future states into the Union.
[Tidbit: Article XI of the Articles of Confederation made the same offer to Canada! “Canada acceding to this confederation, and adjoining in the measures of the United States, shall be admitted into, and entitled to all the advantages of this Union.” It is clear now that Canada did NOT accede.]

My exact point…..that is what everyone thought they were getting with the FRAUD in our White House and look what happened…he turned out to be a BIG FAT LIAR!!! I have this from a friend who is an expert Latinist.
Leges gentium, refers to the written laws of different peoples, tribes, nations; that is their written and customary laws.
Ius gentium, refers to the unwritten rights of all nations by which one can deduce what written laws ought to say and what justice is due all peoples.
On this basis, if Vattel is speaking about the second category, he must be refering to the
ius gentium
not the
leges gentium
So, from what I gather about Vattel from the English, he is speaking about the second, because he is not quoting the customary laws of nations, but attempting to deduce the natural rights or natural law or natural order of justice that ought to prevail for all nations, and that therefore this phrase in the constitution, would mean that the congress must pass laws in according with natural law and natural rights; not arbitrary law or invented rights.
This is a more important concept than NBC, though NBC is part of this natural law theory.
I take back what I said about leges gentium, therefore; but I still do not conced JeffM’s numbered argument above, esp. where he writes:
