The mainstream media has reported about hunger in America but they won’t tell you why.

That is because their priority is to protect Obama and now the next Democrat presidential candidate.

The Obama economy and real employment situation in the US is the cause of hunger.

And white americans have been hit the hardest.

From Market Watch January 22, 2016.

“White people have least confidence in the American Dream”

“Americans say the American Dream is suffering — and that our laziness and low morals may be partially to blame.

Searches for “American Dream” have fallen 24% since Google began tracking this data in 2004 — and when you type “American Dream” into Google, three of the four top autofills are “dead,” “a lie” and “leaving America,” according to an analysis of Google Trends data released Friday in a report by brokerage firm Convergex.”

“Furthermore, three in four Americans now say that the “American Dream” — broadly, the notion that through hard work and determination every American can have a successful life — is suffering, according to the 7th Annual American Values Survey unveiled last year at the Aspen Ideas Festival.

What’s more, 69% say the obstacles to realizing the dream are “more severe today than ever” — and note that a decline in work ethic is the primary hurdle to Dream achievement. The poll of more than 2,300 Americans was conducted by Burson-Marsteller and market research firm Penn Schoen Berland.”

From Market Watch January 13, 2016.

“So many jobs, so little growth. What gives?”

“Three possible explanations for robust hiring, weak GDP

The U.S. economy just witnessed the two best years of job growth — 2014 and 2015, in that order — since 1999. Yet real economic growth has been bumping along at a 2.1% rate since the Great Recession ended.

The 79-month expansion included two quarterly contractions in gross domestic product, which is already unusual. The economy never exhibited any real thrust coming out of the long and deep recession. Even economists have begun to despair, abandoning their perennial 3%-growth-next-year forecast for something with a 2% handle.

Yet the mystery of consistently strong job growth in the face of consistently weak economic growth remains. The possible answers to the conundrum can be divided into three categories:
1. Productivity growth is lousy.

2. GDP growth is being understated.

3. Job growth is being overstated.”

“Could the employment data be skewed? Jim Bianco, president of Bianco Research, brought to my attention a recent redesign of the one-page enrollment package the BLS mails to potential participants in its payroll survey and suggested the 2012 change might be biasing the responses.

Even if there were any bias in the data, it would be washed away by annual benchmark revisions. Those revisions incorporate information from the state unemployment insurance tax records that nearly all firms are required to file.”

“So many jobs”

“robust hiring”

For who?

It is hard to believe that the folks writing this crap for the mainstream media are so stupid, ignorant or out of touch with reality.

So we are left with Orwellian brainwashing and bias.

Citizen Wells has written extensively on the impact on white american employment under Obama. Do a search on this site to read them.

Here are a couple of facts from the US Labor Dept.:

White american employment.

From January to December 2015.

Employment gain: 276,000. (that is supposedly one month’s jobs added)

Labor force participation rate down .5 %.

Not in labor force up 1,415,000

Where is Donald Trump on this?

Citizen Wells and Zero Hedge have been warning you for many months about the real economy and employment situation in the US.

The mainstream media has reported about the widespread hunger and low paying jobs but they never connect the dots to the real employment data that is actually provided by the US Labor Dept. BLS.

The economy has only been propped up by the Fed and false perception of the job market.

The smoke from the smoke and mirrors is rapidly dissipating, the financial markets are collapsing and little by little reality based reports are surfacing.

From David Stockman’s Contra Corner January 6, 2016.

“Newsflash From The December ‘Jobs’ Report—–The US Economy Is Dead In The Water'”

“Here’s a newsflash that CNBC didn’t mention. According to the BLS, the US economy generated a miniscule 11,000 jobs in the month of December.

Yet notwithstanding the fact that almost nobody works outdoors any more, the BLS fiction writers added 281,000 to their headline number to cover the “seasonal adjustment.” This is done on the apparent truism that December is generally colder than November and that workers get holiday vacations.

Of course, this December was much warmer, not colder, than average. And that’s not the only deviation from normal seasonal trends.

The Christmas selling season this year, for example, was absolutely not comparable to the ghosts of Christmas past. Bricks and mortar retail is in turmoil and in secular decline due to Amazon and its e-commerce ilk, and this trend is accelerating by the year.

So too, energy and export based sectors have been thrown for a loop in the last few months by a surging dollar and collapsing commodity prices. Likewise, construction activity has been so weak in this cycle—-and for the good reason that both commercial and residential stock is vastly overbuilt owing to two decades of cheap credit—–that its not remotely comparable to historic patterns.

Never mind. The BLS always adds the same big dollop of jobs to the December establishment survey come hell or high water. In fact, the seasonal adjustment has averaged 320,000 for the last 12 years!

For crying out loud, folks, every December is different—–and not just because of the vagaries of the weather. Capitalism is about incessant change and reallocation of economic activity and resources. And now the globalized ebbs and flows of economic activity have only accentuated the rate and intensity of these adjustments.

Yet the statistical wizards at the BLS think they can approximate a seasonal adjustment factor for December that at +/- 300k amounts to just 0.2% of the currently reported 144.2 million establishment survey jobs, and an even smaller fraction of the potential adult work force which is at least 165 million.

But that’s a pretentious stab in the dark. The December seasonal adjustment (SA) could just as easily be 0.3% of the job base or 0.1%, depending upon the specific point in the business cycle and structural trends roiling the economy.”

“The real news flash in the December “jobs” report, therefore, is that even by the lights of the BLS’ rickety, archaic and virtually worthless establishment survey, the domestic economy is dead in the water. We are not on the verge of “escape velocity”, as our foolish monetary politburo keeps insisting; the US economy is actually knocking on the door of recession.”

I have tried to keep this simple for our brainwashed, entertainment culture.

Again, straight from the BLS tables.

The impact on white American employment.

When Obama took office in January 2009 there were 116,863,000 white americans employed.

That has only increased 1,432,000.

When Obama took office in January 2009 there were 19,794 Hispanics employed.

That has increased 4,820,000, approx. 25 percent.

Does that match up with what you are getting from the media?

And speaking of lies…..

From Zero Hedge January 4, 2016.

“US Government Discovers 10 Years Of “Processing Errors” In Construction Spending Data Slamming GDP”

“Even as increasingly more parts of the economy, especially those with exposure to manufacturing and industrial production, sink into the recessionary quicksand, one sector that was seen as immune from the malaise gripping US manufacturing and was outperforming the overall growth rate of the US economy, was housing, and specifically spending on private and public construction: a direct input into the GDP model.

That all changed today when the US Census released its latest, November, construction spending data, which not only missed expectations of a 0.6% increase, but tumbled -0.4%, the most since June of 2014, while all the recent changes were mysteriously revised lower.

And then the source of the mystery was revealed: in the fine print of the release, the government made a rare admission: all the construction spending data for the past 10 years had been “erroneous.”

In the November 2015 press release, monthly and annual estimates for private residential, total private, total residential and total construction spending for January 2005 through October 2015 have been revised to correct a processing error in the tabulation of data on private residential improvement spending. An Excel file containg all of the revisions can be found here”

Now from Obama’s Ministry of Truth, the NY Times.

“Robust Hiring in December Caps Solid Year for U.S. Jobs”

“The last time the American economy registered such a prolonged stretch of impressive job creation, Facebook didn’t exist and Beyoncé was still a member of Destiny’s Child.

For all of 2015, the nation added 2.65 million jobs, capping a two-year, back-to-back gain that was the best since the late 1990s, the government reported on Friday.

“I think this really is illustrative of the fact that economic momentum in the United States is still awfully strong,” said Carl Tannenbaum, chief economist at Northern Trust. “In spite of the craziness we’ve seen from Asian markets this week, the fundamentals here at home are still solid.”

The year ended with a particularly strong sprint. In December, employers hired an additional 292,000 people, the Labor Department said, and October and November were revised up by a total of 50,000, pushing the average for the last three months to 284,000.”

Citizen Wells has been warning you for many months about the decimation of white American employment under Obama.

Zero Hedge presents the real employment changes in November 2015 and since December 2007.

“326,000 Native-Born Americans Lost Their Job In November: Why This Remains The Most Important Jobs Chart”

“Friday’s release of a “just right” jobs report, in which the US economy reportedly added 211,000 jobs, more than the 200,000 expected, solidified its position as the “most important” one in recent years, after it was broadly interpreted by economists as the sufficient condition for the Fed to hike rates on December 16, 7 years to the day after the same Fed cut rates to zero.

As such, if indeed the Fed does hike, over the next several quarters, the US labor data will take a secondary place in terms of importance unless, of course, it plummets in which case the Fed will be forced to quickly undo its tightening policy and go back to ZIRP if not NIRP and more QE.

However, even as the Fed’s “data (in)dependent” monetary policy takes on secondary relevance as we enter 2016, one aspect of the US jobs market is certain to take on an unprecedented importance.

We first laid out what that is three months ago when we said that “the one chart that matters more than ever, has little to nothing to do with the Fed’s monetary policy, but everything to do with the November 2016 presidential elections in which the topic of immigration, both legal and illegal, is shaping up to be the most rancorous, contentious and divisive.”

We were talking about the chart showing the cumulative addition of foreign-born and native-born workers added to US payrolls according to the BLS since December 2007, i.e., since the start of the recession/Second Great Depression.

Curiously, it is precisely this data that got absolutely no mention following yesterday’s job report, about which the fawning mainstream media only noted, in passing, one negative aspect to the report: the fact that 319,000 part-time jobs for economic reasons were added in November. However, with Trump and his anti-immigration campaign having just taken the biggest lead in the republican primary race, we are confident that the chart shown below will soon be recognizable to economic and political pundits everywhere.

And here is why we are confident this particular data should have been prominently noted by all experts when dissecting yesterday’s job report: according to the BLS’ Household Survey, while 375,000 foreign-born workers found jobs in November, a whopping 326,000 native-born Americans lost theirs.”

The horses’ asses in the White House are not telling you the truth about the economy and real jobs situation.

The horses’ asses in the media are not either.

But the truth cannot be hidden forever.

Look at the suffering around you.

I am constantly hearing reports of local and national food banks running out of food and the sharp increase in demand.

It stands to reason that with the near depression level jobs market that we have that people would be forced to stand in bread and soup lines.

From the Associated Press August 13, 2015.

“FOOD BANKS STRUGGLE TO MEET SURPRISING DEMAND”

“Food banks across the country are seeing a rising demand for free groceries despite the growing economy, leading some charities to reduce the amount of food they offer each family.

U.S. food banks are expected to give away about 4 billion pounds of food this year, more than double the amount provided a decade ago, according to Feeding America, the nation’s primary food bank network. The group gave away 3.8 billion in 2013.

While reliance on food banks exploded when the economy tanked in 2008, groups said demand continues to rise year after year, leaving them scrambling to find more food.

“We get lines of people every day, starting at 6:30 in the morning,” said Sheila Moore, who oversees food distribution at The Storehouse, the largest pantry in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and one where food distribution has climbed 15 percent in the past year.

Across the country in Gloucester, Massachusetts, The Open Door food pantry has given away 7.6 percent more food this summer than last, said the organization’s executive director, Julie LaFontaine.”

“James Ziliak, who founded the Center for Poverty Research at the University of Kentucky, said the increased demand is surprising since the economy is growing and unemployment has dropped from 10 percent during the recession to 5.3 percent last month.

However, many people who have found jobs are working only part-time or for low wages, and others have stopped looking for work.”

“People who have low-wage jobs, who aren’t receiving regular raises, are finding those earnings stretched thin,” Ziliak said.

The drop in food stamp rolls by nearly 2.5 million people from recession levels could be contributing to the food bank demand, he said, because people who no longer qualify for the government aid may still not earn enough to pay their bills.

From the US Census Bureau.

“One in Five Children Receive Food Stamps, Census Bureau Reports”

“The number of children receiving food stamps remains higher than it was before the start of the Great Recession in 2007, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s annual Families and Living Arrangements table package released today.

The rate of children living with married parents who receive food stamps has doubled since 2007. In 2014, an estimated 16 million children, or about one in five, received food stamp assistance compared with the roughly 9 million children, or one in eight, that received this form of assistance prior to the recession.”

From Citizen Wells August 10, 2015.

“Citizen Wells has been warning you.

All of those so called job gains under Obama, many of which are part time, low paying jobs, don’t add up to employment for US born citizens.

Just yesterday we reported that the monthly jobs added don’t add up at all, unless you use Orwellian math.

“Let’s examine the latest jobs report.

“Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 215,000 in July, and the unemployment rate was unchanged at 5.3 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today.”

http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm

For the rest of the data we will access the same US Labor Dept. Historical tables.

Change from June to July:

Total employed + 101,000

White – 62,000 (you read that right, minus)

Black + 33,000

Asian + 21,000

Hispanic – 27,000

See anything wrong with that?

215,000 jobs added???

It gets worse.

Change from January to July:

Regardless of which revision to the monthly jobs report that you use, if you add up the mythical jobs added from February to July 2015 you get well over 1.2 million.

How does this square with the employment changes from the US Labor Dept?

Total employed + 639,000

White – 155,000 (you read that right, minus)

Black + 463,000

Asian + 211,000

Hispanic + 69,000

See any problems there?”

Using the same US Labor Dept. Historical charts that the Washington Examiner used below, you will find that under the first 6 years of Obama, 75 percent of employment gains went to Hispanics.

From the Washington Examiner August 7, 2015.

“Jobs shock: 100% of female employment gains taken by foreigners since 2007

“In today’s labor market, there are nearly 1 million “missing” young workers—potential workers who are neither employed nor actively seeking work (and are thus not counted in the unemployment rate) because job opportunities remain so scarce. If these missing workers were in the labor market looking for work, the unemployment rate of workers under age 25 would be 18.1 percent instead of 14.5 percent.”…Economic Policy Institute May 1, 2014

“For now, the absence of young adults from the housing market continues to put a dent in the homeownership rate, which dropped to 64.8% in the first quarter, compared with 65.2% in the fourth quarter of 2013, according to U.S. Census statistics. The rate was as high as 69.2% in the fourth quarter of 2004. For those younger than 35, the rate has fallen noticeably faster. It slipped to 36.2% in the first quarter, from 36.8% in the fourth. The homeownership rate for this group was as high as 43.6% in the second quarter of 2004.”…Market Watch May 12, 2014

“We are being lied to on a scale unimaginable by George Orwell.”…Citizen Wells

We keep driving this point across.

It explains a lot.

White American employment has been decimated under Obama.

There were more white Americans employed in 2007 than now.

Whites make up approx. 2/3 of the US working age population.

From Zero Hedge July 28, 2015.

“US Middle Class Stays Dead: Homeownership Drops To 48 Year Low; Median Asking Rent Soars To All Time High

Three months ago, just as the last Census Homeownership and residential vacancy report hit, Gallup released its latest survey which confirmed just how dead the American Dream has become for tens if not hundreds of millions of Americans.

According to the poll, the number of Americans who did not currently own a home and say they do not think they will buy a home in “the foreseeable future,” had risen by one third to 41%, vs. “only” 31% two years ago. Non-homeowners’ expectations of buying a house in the next year or five years were unchanged, suggesting little change in the short-term housing market.

As Gallup wryly puts it, “what may have been a longer-term goal for many may now not be a goal at all, and this could have an effect on the longer-term housing market.””

“Earlier today, the US Census released its latest homeownership data, which confirmed that for what is left of America’s middle class, owning a home has become virtually impossible, with the homeownership rate plunging from the lowest level since 1986, or 63.7%, to just 63.4% the lowest reading since the first quarter of 1967.

Three months ago, when compiling this data we said that “at this rate, by the end of the 2015 and certainly by the end of Obama’s second term, the US homeownership rate will drop to the lowest in modern US history.” That moment, as shown on the chart below, came far sooner than ever we had expected. The only question is whether the lowest homeownership print on record reported in 1965 and standing at 62.9% will be taken out in the next 2 quarters or in early 2016.”

homeownership rate Q2 2015

“Yes, it is safe assume that the imminent lowest homeownership print in US history may be the “bottom.”
Still, the ongoing death of the middle class is not bad news to everyone: landlords, of which private equity firm Blackstone recently became the biggest in the US, are reaping unseen profits courtesy of runaway inflation in at least one item: rent.

Because as homeownership falls, demand for rental housing is booming. The vacancy rate for rented homes in the U.S. fell to 6.8% in the first quarter from 7.5% a year earlier. It was the lowest first-quarter rate since 1986.

And the punchline, which should come as no surprise to anyone: the median monthly asking rent just rose to a record $803 across the US.”
