Two state ballot entities recently ruled on Ted Cruz remaining on their ballots.
The Illinois state board of elections ruled that Ted Cruz is eligible as a natural born citizen. IL is consistently listed as one of the most corrupt states in the US and the home of Obama, another non natural born citizen.
No surprise.
The New Hampshire ballot commission took a more honest approach.
“If there is a clear ruling on some issues that somebody clearly doesn’t meet, we would apply it. If there is a constitutional uncertainty about the meaning of something – which from my research and from all the stuff that was thrown at us at the commission there certainly is about the natural born citizen thing — we don’t undertake to make that decision,”
I was disappointed to find what I consider to be the most inaccurate article I have uncovered at American Thinker, February 5, 2016.

Ted Cruz was born in Canada. His mother was a U.S. citizen. His father, a Cuban, was not. Under U.S. law, the fact that Cruz was born to a U.S. citizen mother makes him a citizen from birth. In other words, he is a “natural born citizen” (as opposed to a naturalized citizen) and is constitutionally eligible.”
“Also agreeing with Cruz’s eligibility are two constitutional scholars who have argued cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. As the Washington Post reported:
Writing in the Harvard Law Review, two former top Supreme Court litigators, Neal Katyal and Paul Clement, said: “All the sources routinely used to interpret the Constitution confirm that the phrase ‘natural born Citizen’ has a specific meaning: namely, someone who was a U.S. citizen at birth with no need to go through a naturalization proceeding at some later time.”

New Hampshire did not rule that Cruz is a natural born citizen.
It omitted the opinion of constitutional expert Laurence Tribe of Harvard:
“Cruz says this is all settled law, but Harvard’s Laurence Tribe disagrees.
“It clearly is not settled law,” Tribe said in recent an interview.”
“That’s because Tribe says Cruz is a constitutional “originalist,” who believes the document should be followed to the letter. Tribe says jurists who share such a view might well conclude that Cruz is not eligible to be president — because he was not born in America.
According to Tribe, this shows that Cruz is trying to have it both ways.”

Saudi media said some 350,000 forces from Persian Gulf Arab states and a number of other countries will take part in a Saudi-led military maneuver in the area of Hafer al-Batin in northern Saudi Arabia.
In addition to the massive troop build-up, some 2,540 warplanes, 20,000 tanks and 460 helicopters will also participate in the “exercise,” dubbed “North Thunder.”
The “exercise” is scheduled to last 18 days, during which the airspace over northern Saudi Arabia will be closed.
Please note that Saudi Arabia DOES NOT border on the country of Syria. Saudi Arabia borders on Iran and Jordan……It is 15 hours away from Syria by ground means…….. so what possible beef could Saudi Arabia have with Syria,……. and what dog do they have in this middle eastern fight ?

My questions for the American government;
Why isn’t the main stream media telling the American people about this VERY DANGEROUS BUILDUP of clashing forces with the intent of driving Assad out of power from the norther border of Saudi Arabia? This “invading force” will have to go through 15 or 17 hours through Iraq to even reach the border of Syria. Why is America siding with a force comprised of IRAN and Saudi Arabia ? Legally, Cruz could have obtained US citizenship through his mother consistent with Public Law 414, June 27, 1952, An Act: To revise the laws relating to immigration, naturalization, and nationality and for other purposes [H.R. 5678], Title III Nationality and Naturalization, Chapter 1 – Nationality at Birth and by Collective naturalization; Nationals and citizens of the United States at birth; the relevant section being 301 (a) (7):

According to Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier, Cruz’s mother did register his birth with the U.S. consulate and Cruz received a U.S. passport in 1986 ahead of a high school trip to England.
There are two apparent contradictions regarding how and when Ted Cruz obtained US citizenship.
First, according to the Canadian Citizenship Act of 1946, also referred to as the “Act of 1947,” Canada did not allow dual citizenship in 1970. The parents would have had to choose at that time between U.S. and Canadian citizenship. Ted Cruz did not renounce his Canadian citizenship until 2014. Was that the choice originally made?
Second, no CRBA has been released that would verify that Ted Cruz was registered as a U.S. citizen at birth.
It has been reported that the then nearly four-year-old Ted Cruz flew to the U.S. from Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1974.

Finally, In Texas, a justice of the Peace has the authority to pronounce a person to be legally dead….but I have never heard of that in any state of the union except in Texas.

…………what bothers me most is that Scalia’s family refused a post mortem. It seems to me that responsible people would want the public to know why he died………..unless perhaps he secretly had an illness which was at END STAGE. Allegedly his doctor stated he had been dealing with a host of health problems of late. He might have had cancer, and simply decided to live as long as possible while hiding the illness…………and he finally succumbed naturally, or perhaps was unknowingly ASSISTED. He was 79 years of age.

MARFA, Texas — United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s heart stopped beating during his sleep, Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara told WFAA on Sunday.
Guevara officially pronounced him dead at 1:52 p.m. (by phone) on Saturday. She will be the local official who signs his death certificate.
Hours earlier, the county judge told WFAA that myocardial infarction — or a heart attack — would likely be the cause of death listed. Guevara later said she would confer with the Justice’s personal physician on what specifically to show as the cause of death.
Scalia’s remains were discreetly driven by van overnight to an El Paso funeral home with an escort from a procession of Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers and U.S. Marshals Service vehicles.
After arriving at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, the Sunset Funeral Home embalmed Scalia’s remains, according to Chris Lujuan, a funeral home manager. Embalming is required by Texas law before a body can be transported out of state.
Sunset Funeral Home said it is collecting vital information for Scalia’s death certificate.
Lujuan said Scalia’s remains would likely begin the journey back to northern Virginia sometime on Monday, though it’s uncertain exactly how the body would be transported.
Judge Guevara said she was shopping in the neighboring town of Alpine on Saturday afternoon when Presidio County Sheriff Danny Dominguez called her on her mobile phone after lunch.
“He says, ‘Judge, I’m at Cibolo Creek Ranch, and a Supreme Court Justice has just passed away, and I need someone here immediately. Both justices of the peace are out of town at this time,’” Guevara recounted to WFAA.
“I said, ‘Sheriff, what did you say? Which Supreme Court Justice died at Cibolo Creek Ranch?’ And the phone went dead, because our connection was very bad,” she explained.
Cell phone service is spotty in Far West Texas. There’s no service at the ranch.
“He called me back and he gave me a few more sentences until it broke up again. And that’s how the conversation went for 20 minutes,” the county judge recalled.
Guevara said she immediately recognized Scalia’s name as a U.S. Supreme Court Justice, and pronounced him dead over the phone at 1:52 p.m. on Saturday.
She planned to drive to the ranch — about 30 minutes south of Marfa — but returned when a U.S. Marshal told her by phone: “It’s not necessary for you to come, judge. If you’re asking for an autopsy, that’s what we need to clarify.”
Judge Guevara said she wanted to clarify details of Scalia’s death before deciding whether to order an autopsy.
“As part of my investigation one of the things I did ask the sheriff and the U.S. Marshal: ‘Were there any signs of foul play? And they said, ‘Absolutely not.’ At that time, I still wanted to be careful and asked them if [Scalia’s] physician would call me.”
The justice’s personal doctor called Guevara at 8 p.m. Saturday night
“When [the physician] explained [Scalia] had just visited on Wednesday and Thursday, and [the doctor] had done an MRI, then I felt comfortable what I knew was going on with him physically,” she said.
Guevara said Scalia went to his doctor for a shoulder injury last week, but the justice also suffered from several chronic ailments.
Judge Guevara said she will fill out the official death certificate to be permanently filed in Presidio County after Sunset Funeral Home collects Scalia’s vital information.
“After I did my job, yes… I kept playing it over and over in my mind and thought, ‘Oh my God. History is being made in Presidio County,” Guevara told WFAA. “It’s something I’ll never forget.”
Scalia, 79, was visiting the ranch with a friend from Washington, D.C. It was a relaxation trip to this remote private resort.
“I just feel that we have lost a great defender of the Constitution, and it’s a big loss for the United States of America,” Guevara added.

Well….whatever the cause of Justice Scalia’s death will not ever be known now.
It is Texas law that any dead body MUST BE EMBALMED before it leaves the state.
Justice Scalia’s body left the State of Texas about 7;40pm heading to somewhere in Virginia according to a spokesman from Sunset Funeral home who embalmed the body.
this report does not answer all the question. it only brings on many more unanswered questions…..and unfortunately the only person who can answer these questions cannot……

please note “A PILLOW OVER HIS HEAD”…..hummmmm ….now shouldn’t that have been a pillow UNDER his head ?

Thanks to a VC commenter, I discovered that in August 1960, the Democrat-controlled Senate passed a resolution, S.RES. 334, “Expressing the sense of the Senate that the president should not make recess appointments to the Supreme Court, except to prevent or end a breakdown in the administration of the Court’s business.” Each of President Eisenhower’s SCOTUS appointments had initially been a recess appointment who was later confirmed by the Senate, and the Democrats were apparently concerned that Ike would try to fill any last-minute vacancy that might arise with a recess appointment.
The GOP opposed this, of course. Hypocrisy goes two ways. But the majority won.
